I was glad that Ransom got to be captain in the end. The last time Freeman was up for reassignment, they said they were going to bring in a new captain from somewhere else, and you know what? That meathead has earned it.

Btw, when I say Ransom is stupid (affectionate) I mean it conceptually. Like, Jack Ransom the character has a variety of places where he's more or less intelligent just like anyone else does, but the concept of Jack Ransom is dumb as a box of rocks.
