We are updating our Readme Files.
Chance Reclist will release with a base oto.ini once some test USTs and C- phonemes are finished.
There will be an OpenUTAU dictionary for Chance Reclist. Heccan will recieve a dedicated dictionary as well.
OpenUTAU templates will be provided.
Our Early Access Website was Updated.
We are working on our own Wiki to have a safe place to store in an organized manner all the details that are needed for the characters and voicebanks, as well as other projects.
AC [Roulette] was released for Early Access.
Demo material for our current voicebanks should release (hopefully) soon.
A new voicebank, Caché Völatta is in development, along other voices.
Details about the new voicebank(s) below the Read More.
Caché Völatta
This voicebank is currently in Alpha testing, ver. 1.0. Beta releases will include romaji compatibility and 4 different appends. The voicebank will include two different releases for classic UTAU and OpenUTAU instead of our classical port-only.
He will recieve a dedicated website, but his data will be provided in our main website as well.
Features provided as of current development stage:
CV Japanese + extras (Rolled R, english L, etc)
A soft calm voice with 3 pitches
4 Appends to add expression: SRAM (Solid), LRU (Power), ROM (Growl/Guttural), USB (Warm)
A folder of 40+ extra sounds, including breaths made for singing.

Morpho Morphae
The partner voice for Caché. This voicebank will be recorded soon and will have the same procedure as Caché Völatta, meaning it will have dedicated development time.
As for now, the plans for the voicebank is as follows:
CV Japanese + extras
Energic voice, 3 pitches. Might be Powerscale due to the characteristics of the voice.
Appends (Cute, Annoyed, Growl, Power)
A folder of extra sounds.
Dedicated Artwork.
Romaji compatibility.
OpenUTAU template + COLORS feature compatiblity.
Due to the voice provider being one single body, it might be hard to make both voices sound different enough from each other, but we will do our best work, since our goal is to make them be used together as well as separate.
Just like Caché, Morpho will also recieve a dedicated OpenUTAU release. In both singers, the OpenUTAU oto.ini could be different, due to how the program manages the overlaps sometimes.
We highly advice to not use the classic UTAU voice release on OpenUTAU, and viceversa.
As we have experienced certain personal problems, development might be slow, specially regarding art. For such reasons, we will get the focus on Caché, then focus on Morpho.

India offers modification in Texas aircraft and Argentina expresses interest
But the jet will need to undergo modifications to escape British sanctions.

Argentina expressed its interest in the Texas light combat aircraft (ACL) manufactured by the Indian state-owned Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. (HAL), but this depends on the modification of British items currently in the jet.
In a joint statement after the conclusion of a recent visit between the representatives of the two governments in India, both countries agreed to expand to further promote exchanges between the armed forces on both sides, as well as to collaborate in the joint production of defense-related equipment.
To face global geopolitical challenges, India and Argentina reaffirmed on Friday their commitment to further deepen and diversify their bilateral cooperation, in various sectors, including nuclear energy, defense and space.
The Argentine side expressed its interest in the manufacture of the Indian light combat aircraft "Tejas" of the state-owned HAL. If the deal is approved, HAL will have to rework the LCA Tejas according to the requirements of the South American nation.
The interest arose still in 2021 and was again discussed earlier this year in April, when the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Santiago Cafiero, was in Nova Delhi.
According to a high-ranking diplomat, "The South American nation is in the process of modernization of its military platforms and wants to collaborate with India and has expressed interest in various equipment that it wants to buy from here. However, any platform with a British component will not be acceptable."
The Texas aircraft has about 60-75 percent of the content of in-line replaceable units (LRUs), something that the Argentine Air Force expressed a problem with, specifically, the British LRUs. Approximately 360 ?? LRUs, the United Kingdom is the origin of about 15-17 LRUs.
The LCA Tejas is a single-engine, delta wing and lightweight multifunctional fighter. Currently, HAL is ready to export the Mark 1A variant of the Texas that presents a new set of avionics, including an AESA radar, DARE Unified Electronic Warfare Suite (UEWS) and an Embedded Oxygen Generation System (OBOGS) developed by the Laboratory of Bioengineering and Defense Electromedicine (DEBEL) among other updates.
But some British items need to be removed for the sale to be made.
"A radome is an electromagnetically transparent protective shield that surrounds the mmWave radar sensors and the antenna. It protects the mmWave antenna and electronic components from external environmental effects, such as rain, sunlight and wind, providing a weatherproof structural housing. LCA Tejas featured a radome from Cobham Limited, an aerospace manufacturer in the United Kingdom. Indian Uttam radars will probably replace it," explained Girish Linganna, Aerospace and Defense Analyst.
According to Girish Linganna, "Another item in the fighter is from Dunlop, the Scottish brand that manufactures the tires for the LCA Tejas. The Indian manufacturer MRF Tires is replacing Dunlop. More than 15 LRUs were acquired from several British manufacturers for the LCA Tejas. Currently, HAL seems to be calling on Indian industry, including several public sector companies (PSUs) such as Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) and Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), for innovative Indian replacements to secure the Argentine contract."
But there are ejector seats, a vital component and a safety feature for fighters. Worldwide, the British manufacturer Martin Baker provides ejection seats ?? for more than 90 air forces. The LCA also has a Martin-Baker ejectable seat. The company was a pioneer in the 'zero-zero' ejection seat that ensures the safe extraction and landing of the entire crew at zero speed and zero altitude. Finding an alternative without commitment is an arduous task that HAL must perform to ensure the completion of Argentina's application.
"HAL is currently in negotiations with NPP Zvezda, a Russian manufacturer of ejection seats. Its Ejectable seat K-36 is a competitor to Martin Baker. In fact, NPP Zvezda was close to closing the contract even for the American fighter F-22 Raptor and the Joint Strike Fighter. Currently, the K-36 boasts several types used in Russian fighters, such as the MiG-29, Su-27, Su-30 and Su-57. The K-36 is also a zero-zero ejectable seat on the same level as Martin Baker," he adds.

Look at that! A feature bump! npm@6 was super-exciting not just because it used a bigger number than ever before, but also because it included a super shiny new command: npm audit. Well, we've kept working on it since then and have some really nice improvements for it. You can expect more of them, and the occasional fix, in the next few releases as more users start playing with it and we get more feedback about what y'all would like to see from something like this.
I, for one, have started running it (and the new subcommand...) in all my projects, and it's one of those things that I don't know how I ever functioned without it! This will make a world of difference to so many people as far as making the npm ecosystem a higher-quality, safer commons for all of us.
This is also a good time to remind y'all that we have a new RFCs repository, along with a new process for them. This repo is open to anyone's RFCs, and has already received some great ideas about where we can take the CLI (and, to a certain extent, the registry). It's a great place to get feedback, and completely replaces feature requests in the main repo, so we won't be accepting feature requests there at all anymore. Check it out if you have something you'd like to suggest, or if you want to keep track of what the future might look like!
NEW FEATURE: npm audit fix
This is the biggie with this release! npm audit fix does exactly what it says on the tin. It takes all the actionable reports from your npm audit and runs the installs automatically for you, so you don't have to try to do all that mechanical work yourself!
Note that by default, npm audit fix will stick to semver-compatible changes, so you should be able to safely run it on most projects and carry on with your day without having to track down what breaking changes were included. If you want your (toplevel) dependencies to accept semver-major bumps as well, you can use npm audit fix --force and it'll toss those in, as well. Since it's running the npm installer under the hood, it also supports --production and --only=dev flags, as well as things like --dry-run, --json, and --package-lock-only, if you want more control over what it does.

NEW FEATURE: GIT DEPS AND npm init <pkg>!
Another exciting change that came with npm@6 was the new npm init command that allows for community-authored generators. That means you can, for example, do npm init react-app and it'll one-off download, install, and run create-react-app for you, without requiring or keeping around any global installs. That is, it basically just calls out to npx.
The first version of this command only really supported registry dependencies, but now, @jdalton went ahead and extended this feature so you can use hosted git dependencies, and their shorthands.
So go ahead and do npm init facebook/create-react-app and it'll grab the package from the github repo now! Or you can use it with a private github repository to maintain your organizational scaffolding tools or whatnot. ✨

Para instalar o Bluedis no Fedora, execute os comandos abaixo. Lembrando que caso você já tenha o suporte ao Snap habilitado no Fedora, pule para o passo 3, o de instalação do pacote:

What is Memcached and How can you use it speed up your WordPress site?
There are different types of caching like browser, page, server-side, CDN, and object caching. Object caching is important to make your database queries run faster and ultimately improve your website speed.
In this article, we’re going to explore object caching and dive into one of the most popular object caching systems, called Memcached.
You shouldn’t confuse Memcached with memcache, which is a PHP extension created for the Memcached caching service.
WHAT IS OBJECT CACHING?
Object caching involves storing database query results so that the next time a user needs a result, it can be served from the cache without repeatedly querying the database.
As a Content Management System, WordPress is naturally and heavily dependent on the database. As such, database efficiency is crucial to scaling WordPress.
Let’s say you run a high-traffic site and requests to your pages generate a large number of database queries. Your server can quickly become overwhelmed with this and in turn negatively affect your site’s performance.
So, enabling object caching can help ease the load on your database and server and deliver queries faster.
WORDPRESS OBJECT CACHING
The built-in object caching in WordPress saves a copy of complex queries and stores their results in a database table.
The database stores the most frequently used queries running on the pages of your site. This copy of the requests reduces the load time and improves your website’s performance. If object caching is functional, your server won’t have to regenerate query results every time. It can use the object caching layer previously created to deliver results.
You can use different technologies like Memcached, Redis, and APC to store an object cache.
WHAT IS MEMCACHED?
Memcached is an open-source memory caching system built to ease database load for dynamic web applications or websites that need login/registration.
Brad Fitzpatrick initially developed Memcached back in 2003. Today, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Wikipedia, and other big and small web applications utilize it to their advantage. Its developers define Memcached as an in-memory key-value store for small arbitrary data (strings, objects) from results of database calls, API calls, or page rendering.
Memcached uses a client-server architecture based on 4 components:
· Client-server: It retains the list of available Memcached servers
· Client-based hashing algorithm: It picks up a server based on the requested “key.“
· Server software: It stores the combinations of values + key into an internal hash table
· Least Recently Used (LRU) algorithm: It decides when to use old data or the memory
HOW MEMCACHED WORKS?
Memcached works like any other caching system, but with the database at the core of the process. Let’s see how Memcached works in five quick steps:
1. The client-server receives a query from a user
2. The client-server checks with the Memcached server if the data needed is already stored in its memory
3. If the data exists, Memcached directly returns it to the client-server
4. If the data isn’t already saved in the cache, Memcached forwards the request to the database
5. Requested data is now forwarded to the client-server. At the same time, the Memcache index gets updated with the latest values. Once the latest values get updated, the cache is ready for use in the future as observed in step 3.
Usually, you set up Memcached via different Memcached servers and clients. These servers and clients help to distribute the load of the requests.
The client-server uses the hashing algorithm to ascertain which Memcached server should it forward the request to.
It’s important to note that Memcached servers don’t share data. So, the database sends data only to one Memcached server at a time.
USING MEMCACHED ON YOUR WORDPRESS WEBSITE
The first condition to use Memcached on your WordPress site is that your hosting server should have it installed.
The second condition is that your web application or website can support Memcached.
Memcached doesn’t require too many CPU resources since it is solely relying on RAM.
A few web hosting services come gave Memcached system pre-installed on their cloud servers.Siteground, A2 Hosting, or Cloudways are examples of hosting services that have pre-installed Memcached systems.
If your server supports Memcached, you can most likely use it through the pre-built Memcached PHP extension.
ADVANTAGES OF USING MEMCACHED ON YOUR WORDPRESS WEBSITE
An important advantage of Memcached is that it stores all the information in the RAM. This implies that there’s no need to load it from the disk each time.
Another advantage is that there are no data restrictions. You can use Memcached to cache a number of different data like documents, images, and much more complex structures. Moreover, depending on the usage environment you set up, the failure of one of the Memcached servers isn’t usually critical.
In fact, more often than not, servers use Memcached as a read-only cache or to hold temporary information. If you’re using it for persistent data, you can switch to an alternative lookup method which reloads the data into the RAM of a different server.

Breaking News: Gas Tanker Explodes in Ifako-Ijaiye
A gas explosion has rocked the Ifako-Ijaiye area of Lagos State. A gas tanker exploded in the area on Thursday afternoon, causing burn injuries to many people.
The Director-General of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Dr. Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu, confirmed the incident.
Oke-Osayintolu said efforts are being made to put out the resulting fire from the explosion.
Meanwhile, LASEMA cautioned against panic in a tweet, urging people to remain calm while they try to put out the fire.
The Agency has activated its response plan to the fire incident at Cele Bus Stop, Ifako-Ijaiye LGA and will provide further updates. Lagosians are urged to kindly exercise calm. Dr Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu DG/CEO LASEMA

On-Disk Caching with SQLite
Recently, a project I was working on required a cache that would ideally be capable of storing tens of millions of entries, reaching into the multiple-terabyte range. At this scale, using a single spinning disk is significantly cheaper than storing everything in memory, which Redis or Memcached would require. Another classic KV store, LevelDB, also ends up being impractical because it writes the value for each key to disk multiple times. If your values are small, LevelDB can be really really performant, but in my case the values are moderately sized (tens of kilobytes) and writing them to disk multiple times quickly becomes user-visible. And finally, I expected that storing this many entries on-disk as individual files in a folder would cause issues with inode exhaustion, and ultimately, the ACID guarantees that a filesystem provides have never been super clear to me.
This blog post describes how to build an on-disk cache with SQLite that's capable of evicting entries when the cache gets too large. SQLite is a bit more machinery than I would've initially wanted but it scales to the size I want, provides ACID guarantees, and is surprisingly performant. The only difficulty is that it doesn't have a good way to randomly select rows for eviction.
The underlying idea to get around this is to maintain a random shuffle of keys in the database, so that 'randomly evicting' simply consists of deleting the last N rows. The reason for random eviction (instead of LRU) is that I didn't want Get operations to cause any writes to disk, which an LRU would need to keep track of usage.
All operations are fairly fast, having a runtime that's logarithmic in the number of rows.

The PRIMARY KEY clause creates an index on the key column, and this enables efficient lookups by key.
Startup
When the process using the cache starts up, it needs to first get the max rowid and store this in a variable called n. This is used for maintaining the random shuffle. The max rowid can be found with:
SELECT MAX(rowid) FROM cache;
Get
Get operations simply consist of looking up the val of the corresponding key.
SELECT val FROM cache WHERE key = ?;
Set
A Set operation is accomplished by performing an "inside-out" Fisher-Yates shuffle. First, increment n = n+1. Then choose a random number i such that 1 <= i <= n. If i != n, then move the row at rowid i to rowid n:
UPDATE cache SET rowid = n WHERE rowid = i;
and insert the new row at rowid i:
INSERT OR REPLACE INTO cache (rowid, key, val) VALUES (i, ?, ?);
Note that the multiple queries should be performed in a transaction for consistency.
Delete
To Delete the row with a given key, first lookup the rowid i of the row you wish to delete:
SELECT rowid FROM cache WHERE key = ?;
Then delete that row, and move the row with the highest rowid into that spot:
DELETE FROM cache WHERE rowid = i; UPDATE cache SET rowid = i WHERE rowid = n;
And finally decrement n = n-1. Again, these queries should be performed in a transaction for consistency.
Eviction
If the cache is too large, a number of rows can be evicted by repeatedly deleting the row with the largest rowid:
DELETE FROM cache WHERE rowid = n;
and decrementing n = n-1.
Note that eviction won't actually reduce the amount of disk space used by SQLite without running an expensive VACCUM query, but it will allow previously allocated space to be reused.
Implementation
This cache is implemented in the on-disk caching feature of UtahFS.

Instalar Redis en Ubuntu 18.04. Redis (Remote Dictionary Server), es un almacén de datos estructurados en memoria, es open source y se permite su uso como base de datos, caché o agente de mensajes. Redis ofrece flexibilidad y una considerable mejora en el rendimiento. Destacamos la gran variedad de tipos de datos o estructuras de datos que admite, como pueden ser listas, conjuntos, conjuntos almacenados, hashes, mapas de bits, etc... Ademas nos brinda una replicación maestro-esclavo incluida, la cual permite que un servidor Redis genere una copia exacta de la base de datos del servidor maestro. Los servers maestros pueden tener múltiples esclavos, y la replicación se realiza de forma asíncrona, por tanto el maestro continuará manejando consultas mientras los servidores esclavos se están sincronizando. En este tutorial, vemos como instalar Redis en Ubuntu 18.04, así como su configuración básica.

Como es habitual, lo primero que tienes que hacer es actualizar el sistema. apt-get update apt-get upgrade Redis viene en los repositorios oficiales de Ubuntu 18.04, solo tienes que ejecutar el siguiente comando: sudo apt-get install redis-server Una vez instalado (incluidas sus dependencias) abrimos el archivo de configuración. sudo nano /etc/redis/redis.conf Localizamos la orden "supervised", y la modificamos a "systemd". ejemplo... # If you run Redis from upstart or systemd, Redis can interact with your # supervision tree. The Minister of Magic, Lowell Tegus, has arrived at Hogwarts.
From today until Sunday (7th of April to the 9th), the Minister will be visiting the school. This event takes place on a Saturday in canon, so students may come and go from Hogsmeade as they please. While no particular event is scheduled, you will still receive updates over the next few days about what Minister Tegus is up to - but students will find him on a tour of the school and checking the facilities, as well as out in the grounds and talking with professors about the charms in place to protect Hogwarts. He will join students for all meals that day, with a planned candlelit memorial service to Professor Vector to be held in he evening.
Students should also note the increased presence of aurors (the LRU) in the grounds, who patrol tightly, Lowell’s presence usually accompanied by that of Headmaster Vauxhall, and Lowell’s enthusiastic and positive demeanour.
If you have a plot you wish to put into play this weekend, please don’t hesitate to message me and we can sort it out, as Lowell is ready and willing to engage with characters in big or small ways. Please remember that he’s already talent scouting for the Ministry, with a particular emphasis on seventh year students, and would be happy to encourage anyone to consider the Ministry and their vision for the future.

Scaling connections with Ruby and MongoDB

Coinbase was launched 8 years ago as a Ruby on Rails app using MongoDB as its primary data store. Today, the primary paved-road language at Coinbase is Golang, but we continue to run and maintain the original Rails monolith, deployed at large scale with data stored across many MongoDB clusters.
This blog post outlines some scaling issues connecting from a Rails app to MongoDB, and how a recent change to our database connection management solved some of these issues.
Global VM Lock
At Coinbase we run our Ruby applications using CRuby (aka Ruby MRI). CRuby uses a Global VM Lock (GVL) to synchronize threads so that only a single thread can execute at once. This means a single Ruby process will only ever use a single CPU core, whether it runs a single thread or 100 threads.
Coinbase.com runs on machines with a large number of CPU cores. To fully utilize these cores, we spin up many CRuby processes, using a load-balancing parent process that allocates work across these child processes. In the application layer, it’s hard to share database connections between these processes, so instead each process has its own MongoDB connection pool that is shared by that process’ threads. This means each machine has 10–20K of outgoing connections to our MongoDB clusters.
Blue-green deploys
Maintaining product velocity is essential at Coinbase. We deploy to production hundreds of times a day across our fleet. In the general case we use blue-green deployments, spinning up a new set of instances for each deploy, waiting for these instances to report healthy, before shutting down the instances from the previous deploy.
This blue-green deploy approach means we have 2x the count of server instances during these deploys. It also means 2x the count of connections to MongoDB.
Connection storms
The large count of connections from each instance, combined with the amount of instances being created during deploys, leads to our application opening tens of thousands of connections to each MongoDB cluster. Deploying during high traffic periods, when our application is auto-scaled up to handle incoming traffic, we would see spikes of almost 60K connections in a single minute, or 1K per second.
Hoping to reduce some of this connection load on the database, in March we modified our deployment topology, introducing a routing layer designed to transfer this load from the `mongod` core database process to a `mongos` shard router process. Unfortunately the connections were similarly affecting the `mongos` process and didn’t resolve the problem.
We experienced various failure modes from these connection counts, including an unfortunate interaction where the Ruby driver could cause a connection storm on an already degraded database (this has since been fixed). This was seen during a prolonged incident in April, as described in this Post Mortem, where we saw connection attempts above MongoDB’s 128K maximum to a single host.

Proxying connections
The vast amount of connections from our Rails application is the root problem; we had to focus on reducing these. Analyzing the total time spent querying MongoDB demonstrated these connections went mostly unused; the application could serve the same amount of traffic with 5% of the current connection count. The obvious solution was some form of external connection pooling, similar to PgBouncer for PostgreSQL. While there was prior art, there was no currently supported solution for connection pooling for MongoDB.
We decided to prototype our own MongoDB connection proxy, which we call `mongobetween`. The requirements were simple: small + fast, with minimal complexity and state management. We wanted to avoid having to introduce a new layer in Rails, and didn’t want to reimplement MongoDB’s wire protocol.
`mongobetween` is written in Golang, and is designed to run as a sidecar alongside any application having trouble managing its own MongoDB connection count. It multiplexes the connections from the application across a small connection pool managed by the Golang MongoDB driver. It manages a small amount of state: a MongoDB cursorID -> server map, which it stores in an in-memory LRU cache.
Results
Since rolling out the connection proxy, we’ve dramatically reduced the overall count of outgoing connections to MongoDB, by around 20x. Deploy connection spikes which used to hit 30K now hit 1.5K connections. The application steady state, which used to require 10K connections per MongoDB router, now only needs 200–300 connections total:

Ubuntu 20.04 Released With Linux 5.4 Kernel
Canonical announces Ubuntu 20.04 Final Focal Fossa Version Released with Linux 5.4 Kernel and VPN.
Canonical CEO and founder Mark Shuttleworth explained that Canonical is now thinking about security as part of operations, rather than security, separate from operations.”
Shuttleworth explained: “We’re offering full 10 years of coverage for all packages including the 30,000 packages that we never previously covered with security updates. This represents a huge improvement in enterprise security.”
Microsoft Engineer said, We’re excited to partner with Canonical to bring the Ubuntu 20.04 LTS innovations across our toolchain — from developers on WSL to scaling enterprise production deployments in Azure,” said John Gossman, a Microsoft distinguished engineer. “In this release, we’ve made it easier than ever to manage workstation environments and to enjoy the long-term stability and security of Ubuntu Pro for Azure across a wide range of compute options.”

Linux Kernel Update
Ubuntu 20.04 LTS is based on the long-term supported Linux release series 5.4. Notable features and enhancements in 5.4 since 5.3 include:
Support for new hardware including Intel Comet Lake CPUs and initial Tiger Lake platforms, Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 & 855 SoCs, AMD Navi 12 and 14 GPUs, Arcturus and Renoir APUs along with Navi 12 + Arcturus power features.
Support has been added for the exFAT filesystem, virtio-fs for sharing filesystems with virtualized guests and fs-verity for detecting file modifications.

Wireguard VPN
WireGuard is an extremely simple yet fast and modern VPN that utilizes state-of-the-art cryptography. It aims to be faster, simpler, leaner, and more useful than IPsec, while avoiding the massive headache. It intends to be considerably more performant than OpenVPN.
WireGuard aims to be as easy to configure and deploy as SSH. A VPN connection is made simply by exchanging very simple public keys – exactly like exchanging SSH keys – and all the rest is transparently handled by WireGuard. It is even capable of roaming between IP addresses, just like Mosh. There is no need to manage connections, be concerned about state, manage daemons, or worry about what’s under the hood. WireGuard presents an extremely basic yet powerful interface.
Other notable kernel updates to 5.4 since version 4.15 released in 18.04 LTS include:
