Posted a meme just now but also my personal thoughts on vax and his relationship with coming back and his relationship with the matron.
When I think about them as a god and as a champion there is something so terribly tragic about Vax and the Matron. Both so deeply in love with the people they cared about in life and both so duty bound to safeguard the souls of the people of Exandria.
The Matron giving Vax one night to pretend like the world is fine and nothing bad could have ever happened to him or his loved ones, that nothing was ever scarified for love. She can watch him hug little Gwen and look at Vax Jr/Freddy with big adoring eyes and smile at the Twins seeing a mirror of his beloved sister and himself in both Wolfe and Leona and seeing the little Vesper he saw as a baby as a beautiful grown woman. The Matron can watch for one night and think about the god- no the person that she loved that gave everything (including their duty and family) to her because they thought the earth and the universe about her, and maybe she can think about what ifs about her life with them. She can picture what their face looked like and how their hands felt in hers.
Maybe just for tonight the Matron and her champion can surrender duty and obligation and loyalty and see their loved ones before the world crumbles before their very eyes.

WIG.... sexy ship destined not long for this world... im of two minds about it. ONE. every bit of it has to be a triangulation of desire for one valentino rossi, who they BOTH spent their youths obsessed with in a little gay boy sort of way but only ONE actually fell in love with like for realsies. so if anything its gonna happen,its going to be BEZ attempting to work out his racing-bike competency kink/sexuality crisis born of valentino and exacerbated by following marc on instagram when he was 15 and seeing him post shirtless pics eight times a minute (bez was still following him when he posted THIS), and MARC has to be looking at brown curly hair, a familiar accent, and a goofy sense of humor and also. be kinda emotionally off-balance and DRUNK. and it happens once or twice but never again... and yes it is sexy and yes it feels insanely transgressive and illicit for them precisely BECAUSE of the vale in the room underlying rivalry tension. they feel WEIRD, they feel GUILTY, they are so turned on they cant see straight— specificallyyyy because its the closest to vale that they can get AND because its something they explicitly know would piss him off so fucking bad.

the sheer amount of unhealthy parasocial attachment the watcher drama has revealed is honestly kind of frightening. like, i've got zero problem with people who don't want to subscribe to the new platform or are now wary of watcher bc of the legitimate concerns their initial decision brought up (potential loss of accessible content, lack of pricing awareness, lack of transparency leading up to the decision, potential lack of financial sustainability) but i am genuinely disturbed by the people reacting like they were broken up with over a company changing their monetization structure

off... is NOT open to other bl ships sadly 🥲 he's had a lot of on-screen gay moments with singto, neo & now sea but that dumbass (affectionate) refuses to ditch offgun even for one second lol. I agree that offsea would lowkey slay in an unexpected way hahaha, I liked their scene very much! Where exactly does the idea that "everyone hated the Woodvilles and were glad that Richard got rid of them" come from?* Because the Croyland Chronicler is quite clear on the fact that:
“The duke of Gloucester received the same high office of Protector of the kingdom ... The feast of the Nativity of Saint John the Baptist being appointed as the day upon which the coronation of the king would take place without fail ... Still, however, a circumstance which caused the greatest doubts was the detention of the king’s relatives and servants in prison; besides the fact that the Protector did not, with a sufficient degree of considerateness, take measure for the preservation of the dignity and safety of the queen.”
This doesn't strike me as a council who approved of Richard’s actions against the Woodvilles and were happy that they were finally out of the way, it strikes me as a council that was extremely sympathetic to their plight and very worried and baffled about what was happening to them. We also know that the council would reject Richard's demand to execute Anthony Woodville and Richard Gray, which clearly indicates that they did not just sympathize with the Woodvilles but were actively defensive of them as well.
(*It comes from a great deal of propaganda that sought to vilified them, in case anyone was wondering. It's just exhausting that most historians and blogs keep recycling the idea even though actual evidence suggests otherwise.)

Unless ofc they were following Edward's will which didn't want a Protector for his son#which Rosemary Horrox also believes (see Richard III: A Study of Service)#and that's not even mentioning the contradictions with the Croyland Chronicle and Mancini regarding Edward's will + the council#Mancini says Edward IV named Richard Protector/Croyland mentions nothing of the sort but instead emphasizes Edward's executors#Mancini says the council were divided on whether to name Richard Protector or have a council / Croyland doesn't mention anything#like this but instead emphasizes that the council were 'all' united in the desire to see Edward V crowned as quickly as possible#etc
