Ich habe auf eine Küstenwanderung zu der Cathedral Cove gemacht, welche wunderschön war und musste dann noch, auch wenn es mir zu viele Massen waren, um mir selbst ein "Hot-Water-Loch" zu graben, den Hot Water Beach zur Lowtide anschauen. Da gibt es ganzjährig eine natürliche "Fußbodenheizung", die das Wasser richtig erhitzt. Aber der Strand war schön.

Generell sind die Strände hier alle wunderschön, wild und meist nahezu leer und alle Menschen super freundlich und entspannt!

Quezon Province | March 2017

This was exactly what we all needed. My friends and I have been wanting to take a break from the city, we didn’t really plan to go to Quezon Province --- a 9 hr drive from Cavite but it just happened. We went to our friend’s parents resort somewhere in Quezon Province (again, I forgot in what city it was) so we saved some extra money for our entrance fee and accommodations.

The guys, the responsible ones, did all the preparing, cooking and almost everything actually. But anyway, we survived and had a lot of fun. You know you had a lot of fun when someone in your group doesn’t know what happened or doesn’t remember everything he/she did.

Fun fact about the place: the time we visited the province it was on low tide. We went to the beach and tried to go to the deep part of the ocean but as we walk farther we still can’t get to our desired place. The water is still above my neck although we’ve walked I think 50m already. There’s completely no waves that time and it was just plain. I actually prefer a calm ocean instead of swimming and trying to jump every time waves come. That’s stressful. It’s like you’re jumping for your life so you won’t get drowned.

I took this photo above around 5 in the morning and this is just 1/4 of it. I can still remember how beautiful scenery it was. I actually climbed up to a tree house to have a better look of the place and boy I just want to stare at it. The sky is as orange as it can be and the ocean is so calm and formed a lot of sandbars that people can walk to without getting wet. As soon as I realized I was not properly dressed in public I went back to my sleeping beauty friends. I wanted to wake them up so they could also see how amazing the place was but nah they just want to sleep okay their loss.

My favorite part of this trip is waking up to the sound of the ocean and waking up to the view of the beach. It was relaxing! We got to relax at a beautiful place and we got to bond, which really made this trip extra special, despite of our busy schedules. As I always say, it’s not bad to take a break once in a while. Your soul needs it and you deserve it.

The rocky beach at Alki Point, (about a mile West), is host to marine life that collects in the tide pools, People can look but not harvest anything. On the beach across from our little store people hunt for sea glass. @jrome2032 has quite a collection! . . As the days grow darker, earlier each day leading up to the winter solstice, every ray of sunshine is gratefully appreciated. . . Does anyone here have experience getting a measure or initiative on the ballot? I'd really like to keep daylight savings time all year long to keep fall and winter afternoon daylight for an extra hour. Is it expensive? Is it crazy to consider? . .
