6. What is a book that you hated but read anyway?

The Thorn Birds by Colleen McCullough. I might have given it 3 stars on goodreads bc it had its good moments but this book was just ew.

7. A book you were hyped about but ended up being disappointed by it?

On The Other Side by Carrie Hope Fletcher. The author is a Youtuber I once watched a lot and I liked her first (non-fiction) book and then was really excited about her first novel and tbh it's one of the worst books I've ever read.

Hiya do you have any specific music you listen to while writing?

hi! that’s a really good question, honestly, and i don’t know if i have a very good answer, so i apologize in advance. it depends on the energy of the fic and the pairing, i guess. if i’m writing something with themes of self-destruction or panic, i would suggest more... saturated music? louder, more instrumentals/beats, etc. not sure if i have a specific rec, there. something that, were it to be a color, kind of a crisp sort of muddled-neon. if that makes any sense.

if i’m more on the melancholic front, probably some lowbeat things. kind of midwest emo, acoustic guitar, things that would kind of make you cry and put your mind in that place. sentimental stuff. i like listening to songs that kind of feel like i’m living as someone else (if that makes sense), because it resonates harder when i’m writing for a character that isn’t really myself.

i’m totally going to kick my own ass later and come up with something WAY better than this response, but... really don’t know. yeah, this is... not a very good answer. i might start putting playlists with my fics or something, or make another post about it. but yeah, i hope you found something of worth in this lengthy reply? i’m sorry aldskfsfkj.
