ANOMALY: Homeworld Part Two
Cotolia
Before: Homeworld of the Tendrid and capital seat of the Cotolian Ascendancy, this oceanic planet is dotted with tiny landmasses. The planet itself is much larger than any of the other xeno homeworlds found in the known galaxy. This increased size means higher gravity which ultimately led into the strong, prehensile tendrils that make up most of a Tendrid's body.
Before space flight, the Ascendancy was a feudal society, with multiple ruling houses bound together in mutual interest as the planet's main form of government. The houses were nothing ambitious and fighting amongst them was constant, albeit, cold with no real wars being declared in the years leading up to their invention of the skip drive.
The eight most powerful houses formed the high circle of the Ascendancy and were responsible for most governmental decisions. The high houses were, House Uwu'nau, House Goto'naun, House Oo'to'tu, House Poau'wo, House Weu'nau, House Obo'nu'no, House Wa'taun, and House Nau'Naun.
After: The discovery of the reverse and the capability to skip forced the high houses into a space race with not only the other highs but also the lower houses. Everyone wanted to increase their power and stake claim to a planet they could call their domain. The Tendrid expansion was quick and brutal with some houses colonizing and wiping out planets that housed primitive civilizations.
Their first encounter with the Toxe Federation was no different. Some of the more logical houses, such as House Uwu'nau, did everything in their power to maintain records of the destroyed species while also attempting to dissuade other houses from making contact with the Toxe. Houses Uwu'nau, Weu'nau, Wa'taun, and Oo'to'tu were cast aside and replaced with lower houses of growing power when they refused to join the other high houses in warring with the Toxe. The four banished houses would go on to create a coalition that would silently war with the Ascendancy for centuries until the Ascendancy's ultimate downfall in the War of the Federation Split.
Himia
The mythical homeworld of the Shaza, this planet was said to be a lush world covered in jungles and forest. Whether or not this really was the planet on which their creators first spliced the Shaza together in unknown.
Because almost all of the first generation Shaza were killed during their rebellion, any record of a real Himia is lost to time. When a young Shaza is released from their early service they are given the opportunity to travel the galaxy for decades in order to find themselves and their purpose. Some Shaza return from this pilgrimage with the desire to continue exploring and find their mythical homeworld.
Rauck
Before: The homeworld of the Quell, this rocky moon is rich with oxygen and covered in dense, low foliage. Before their sudden and violent introduction to space flight and interstellar travel, the Quell maintained a highly structured and equal society. The Hive Masters kept their broods populated, the drones kept society running, the warriors kept the populace safe, and the scholars locked themselves away to learn everything they could in the short time they would live.
In the years before their first contact and subsequent introduction to space travel, the Quell had reach an industrial age, with steam power being the main source of all their machinery's power.
After: The introduction of advanced technology, science and societal ideas almost destroyed the structure of the Quell. Their knowledge of the world and how it worked was shattered and quite literally changed over night. Many fought back against the Federation who had accidentally invaded their home, while others took to the new ideas with ease, accepting and using the technology their were given to try and change their world for their own gain.
Order would eventually be restored, though not without violence. The Hive Masters would secure their hold and feed xenophobic propaganda into the masses, keeping them loyal to only the broods and to Rauck. Not all could be swayed, leading many Quell to leave the planet and hire themselves out as technicians, mercenaries, or researchers.
Asana
Homeworld of the Aezyr, this planet is massive with a gravity to match. Covered mostly in rocky terrain and mountains, there are only two large oceans that cut through the landscape. The development of this world was slow as the people who called it home generally preferred to keep their lives slow and never rush into anything before knowing exactly what to do.
The Aezyr developed as all societies did. They had factions and government, wars and plague, but ultimately they would find some peace. They had no world unifying government that would bring them together, instead, they had the proof of something greater. They had found definite proof of intelligent alien life when an early spacecraft discovered the remains of an old Shazan probe floating through their system. This discovery would eventually lead to rapid advancement and an understanding of the reverse.
After: Space was kind to the Aezyr, they encountered no resistance in their exploration and were left to slowly ponder the mysteries of the greater galaxy around them. Chance would lead them to encountering the Shaza. The Aezyr took this meeting well, feeling good that they had finally found real proof of other life. They would remain cordial with the Shaza but abstained from prolonged contact, preferring to learn about the universe in their own time.
During all this, Asana would remain as their true home. No permanent colonies would be built on other worlds and exploitation of alien planets' resources was kept to a minimum. This refusal to expand would almost be their undoing in the decades to come, as the Federation Split brought war to their doorstep.

Understanding Inflammation Overload: Insights by Gemma Davies, Adv Dip Nat & Dip Bot Med
It’s been estimated that approximately one in three Australians have chronic inflammatory conditions.1
With established links to so many common health concerns, inflammation is a topic we all need to know about. So how and why does it occur in the body and what can we do to reduce the pain, discomfort and symptoms inflammation causes?
Inflammation is actually an important biological mechanism that attracts special immune cells to sweep away and remove dead and damaged cells. If our immune system is functioning well, inflammatory responses help us stay healthy. For example, inflammation causes throat irritation and a runny nose to initiate the coughing and sneezing required to clear a cold or flu virus and causes swelling and heat at an injury site to assist tissue repair. However, if the required cell removal is incomplete and the cycle continues, inflammation can begin. As Professor Kate Schroder from the University of Queensland explains, ‘During injury or infection, our body’s immune system protects us by launching inflammation. But uncontrolled inflammation can drive undesirable health conditions.2
Inflammation is always set off by a trigger, the most obvious being a virus or bacteria, or a physical injury like a cut, burn or blow. We now know that many other factors act as triggers, including an unhealthy diet, smoking, environmental pollutants and even stress.2
Ultimately, we’re susceptible to inflammatory overload simply by… living in the world!
Thankfully, we can take proactive steps to minimise uncontrolled inflammation and reduce some of the health havoc it causes to our health. These include:
Eating a healthy, nourishing diet: as writer and food activist Michael Pollan advised: ‘Eat food, not too much, mostly plants’.3 A proven anti-inflammatory diet includes plenty of fresh, organic fruits and vegetables, olive oil, nuts and seeds, legumes, wholegrains and fatty fish. The great news is that coffee is rich in anti-inflammatory compounds, so there’s no need to give up your daily cuppa!4
Adopting a low-tox lifestyle: be conscious of the chemicals you use in your body and around the home, choosing ‘clean’ beauty and cleaning products (or even making your own). Consider using air and water filters both at home and at work and if you smoke or vape, seek help to quit!
Actively reducing stress: meditation, time management techniques, counselling, psychological support and yoga are all proven ways.
Consider supplementation: certain anti-inflammatory compounds are hard to obtain from foods, so supplementation may be an additional proactive step to help minimise inflammation. Such compounds include curcumin, palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) and pro-resolving mediators.
There is also very strong evidence that compounds from specific plants and foods work especially well to reduce inflammation overload. The research spotlight has shone brightly on curcumin in recent years; a powerful anti-inflammatory compound found naturally in the roots of the turmeric plant.
Curcumin has been proven to reduce inflammation in three main ways, by:
lowering key enzymes that cause inflammation;
preventing blood platelets from clumping together;
acting as a powerful antioxidant, helping to clear free radicals and ‘mop up’ dead and damaged cells, which in turn reduces the inflammatory process.5
Whilst the anti-inflammatory benefits of curcumin are impressive, standard curcumin from food sources is poorly bioavailable meaning that a combination of poor solubility, low gut absorption, high rate of metabolism and rapid clearance from the body make it difficult for us to absorb and use. Take care to choose a highly bioavailable form of curcumin when considering supplementation.6-8
The anti-inflammatory effects of a well-absorbed curcumin can be further optimised by taking it in combination with other natural compounds, such as:
Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA): which is a lipid found in soybean, has been shown to effectively reduce pain (especially nerve pain) and anxiety caused by it, by interrupting the pain cycle and exerting an endocannaboid-like action.9-20
Pro-resolving mediators (PRMs): which can be found in natural fish oils and play an important role in the anti-inflammatory pathway and in supporting brain and heart health.21-35
Although inflammation is a concern for all of us, it’s good to know that by combining wise diet and lifestyle choices with the best that nature and science have to offer, we can make a real difference to our health.

Among them, Echeveria stands out not only for its stunning appearance but also for its pet-safe attributes. In this article, we'll delve into the world of Echeveria, exploring why it's a perfect choice for homes with cats. We'll also touch upon the broader spectrum of pet-safe succulent genera and those that pet owners should be cautious about.
Echeveria: A Pet-Safe Delight
Echeveria is a diverse and captivating succulent genus, boasting an array of rosette-shaped leaves and vibrant colors. The great news for cat owners is that many Echeveria species are non-toxic and safe for feline friends. Unlike certain plants that may pose risks to cats when ingested, Echeveria does not contain harmful compounds that could lead to health issues.
Why Echeveria is Safe for Cats
The safety of Echeveria for cats lies in its composition. Unlike some succulents that harbor toxins, Echeveria plants are not known to contain substances that could be harmful to pets. This makes Echeveria succulent an excellent choice for pet owners seeking to enhance their indoor or outdoor spaces with the beauty of succulents without compromising their cats' well-being.
Benefits of Echeveria as a Pet-Safe Plant
Aesthetically Pleasing: Echeveria's stunning rosette formations and captivating hues add a touch of elegance and charm to any setting, making them a popular choice for plant enthusiasts.
Low Maintenance: Succulents, including Echeveria, are renowned for their low maintenance requirements. They can thrive in various lighting conditions and require minimal watering, making them ideal for both experienced gardeners and beginners.
Air Purification: Echeveria, like other plants, contributes to indoor air quality by absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen. This natural air purification benefits both humans and pets.
Stress Reduction: Studies have indicated that spending time with plants can reduce stress and anxiety levels. Having pet-safe plants like Echeveria around can create a calming atmosphere for you and your feline companion.
Pet-Safe Succulent Genus
While Echeveria is a safe choice for cat owners, there are other pet-safe succulent genera that can also be incorporated into your living space. These include:
Haworthia: With their unique shapes and patterns, Haworthias are not only visually appealing but also safe for cats. They come in various sizes, making them suitable for both indoor and outdoor arrangements.
Sedum: Sedums, or stonecrops, are versatile succulents that come in an array of colors and sizes. They are safe for cats and can thrive in various environments.
Echeveria Subspecies: As mentioned earlier, while some Echeveria species may not be safe for cats, certain subspecies like Echeveria elegans and Echeveria derenbergii are generally considered non-toxic and can be enjoyed by cat owners.
Toxic Succulent Genus
While Echeveria falls on the pet-safe side of the spectrum, it's essential for cat owners to be aware of succulent genera that can pose a risk to their feline companions. Some toxic succulent genera include:
Crassula: Certain species of Crassula, such as Jade Plants (Crassula ovata), contain compounds that could be harmful if ingested by cats.
Kalanchoe: Known for their vibrant flowers, Kalanchoe species can be toxic to cats. It's important to keep these succulents out of your cat's reach.
Sempervivum: Also known as hens and chicks, some Sempervivum species may contain compounds that could be harmful to cats if consumed.
Conclusion
Echeveria emerges as a shining example of a pet-safe succulent genus that adds beauty and tranquility to your living spaces without jeopardizing your cat's well-being. Its non-toxic nature, coupled with its aesthetic appeal and low maintenance requirements, make it a top choice for cat owners who wish to enjoy the best of both worlds. As you explore the world of succulents, keep in mind the broader spectrum of pet-safe succulent genera and toxic ones, ensuring that your home remains a safe and harmonious environment for you and your cherished feline companion.

Another One Bites The Dust
Tumblr media
Annabelle Lee died 10 hours after receiving the MMR, DTaP, varicella and half of a Flu shot. Her mother took her shopping afterwards and said she was grouchy. When they returned home she laid her down to relax for the night and watch cartoons. Her mother’s words... "She was quiet, she was asleep. No sounds except the low sound of the cartoons. No cries, no whines, no groans, no screams, nothing. " Nothing. It was 11 something, I felt in her packnplay at her diaper, it was wet. I picked her up, she was facedown. It all went so wrong so fast. I screamed for her dad. I don’t recall any color even being gone from her face, she didn’t look dead. I called 911, we gave her cpr. We caused vomit to come up, it was all over us. It was all over me, I still taste it. I will never ever get that taste out of my mouth. I ran outside. Her dad kept giving her cpr. I just laid outside in my driveway and screamed. A cop was trying to get me up, I couldn’t move. I saw her rushed from the house into an ambulance. She was missing a sock. I was missing a sock. I refuse to think that was just coincidence. We both lost our socks in the commotion. I remember asking a cop that was at my door while we were waiting on my inlaws to pick us up to go to the hospital if it was bad. If hed ever seen any baby survive. “It’s bad.” Shuffled us into this room at childrens, I just pushed myself up against a dresser. The nurse that came in was pregnant, and I was furious. It took forever. It might have only been 5 mins but it took forever for some doctor to come in. They tried to start her heart a few times, with adrenaline I think. It didn’t work. She was gone. Their was nothing they could do. The first question I asked. Could shots have killed her? She just got http://shots.It’s not even been 10 hours since she got the shots, did the shots kill her? What happened!? That doctor lied to my face. Any doctor knows that vaccines can kill people. She didn’t know what had happened in her body, she just said no. She reassured me it wasn’t the shots. Again and again. To be honest, she made me feel stupid for even questioning the shots. Just like many doctors do. Thats the right thing to do, vaccines. The greater good, nothing bad happens, the risk is minimal. Lies, it’s all just a lie. I didn’t want to see her, I regret it sometimes, but most of the time I know it was right. She was gone, and I didn’t want to remember her like that. I didn’t let anyone else go see her either, I didn’t want ANYONE to see her like that, to have those images. I told my mom she didn’t want to see what I saw. I’ll never really know if my parents went back to see her, I left before they did. The doctor said her fever was 114 degrees. So within 30 mins she went from normal temperature, alive, to dead with a 114 degree temperature. That’s not Sids. SUDC Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood is what they call it. SIDS for 12mo +. It’s a crapshoot, it’s a catchall. Truthfully, it’s lazy. That is what the coroner told me it was ruled as of that night. So I asked him. Was it the shots? He said, “It’s very suspicious she got shots and died so soon after, but I will not know anything until lab reports and tox screens come back”. He doesn’t recall saying that, but I recall him saying that, perfectly to me. And she was gone.

"Ava, do you know where you are?"
"Med..." She slurred, drooling onto her vomit-covered chin. Her left shoulder jerked forward repetitively a few times, and she moaned.
"Ava, you're at my apartment, can you tell me what you took?" Connor spoke in a stable, yet urgent, tone, "I can't help you unless you tell me what you took."
"Why are you in my house?" Ava hardly moved her blue-tinged lips when she spoke, making her speech practically incoherent. Connor looked around for any clues, rolling up the blonde's sleeves for bruising.
No fucking way.
"Ava, just head over to my place. I know your lease doesn't end for another week, but there's no reason for you to sleep on that air mattress when I have a perfectly good apartment you can sleep at."
Instead of the expected bruising from an injection site, he found something horrifying: A janky PICC line in her bicep.
"Ava, where did you get this PICC line?" He prompted, shaking her shoulder to get her attention, "Did you put this in yourself?"
It certainly didn't seem like the work of a premier surgeon, who he happened to know excelled in central line placement, but putting one in by herself would have been a whole other ball game. Impossible, certainly impossible without an X-ray machine.
The PICC line was certainly not the greatest work - If a doctor did that to a patient, he'd be out of a job. There was blood leaking out from around the catheter, clotting up under the clear dressing.
There was trash in the area; The remnants of a saline flush and a heparin flush, a dressing change kit, a used swab cap, three unlabeled syringes (presumably from whatever drug she had used), a used Biopatch, and all the packaging from those supplies.
"Siri, text Sarah," He yelled frantically, running for the package of Narcan, and his keys.
"What would you like to say to Sarah?"
"Ava overdosed, giving Narcan and taking her to med. Meet us in the ER," Connor barked. He ripped open the box, grabbed an auto-injector, and pulled it out of it's case to start the instructional audio.
"Okay, it's sent."
He pulled off the red safety guard once he got back to Ava. He placed the end on her outer thigh shakily, and pressed down as hard as he could. He felt it click. Ava grunted.
"5," The pen's voice started, "4, 3," Connor stared at Ava's face, "2, 1. Injection complete."
Connor moved up to her chest, administering a rough sternal rub. Ava's eyes flickered open, "What the fuck?"
"Glad you're here Avie, let's get you to Med," Connor threaded one arm under her arms and one arm under her knees and lifted.
"No, no... I don't need Med, stop..."
"Is that... Coke?" Connor asked, in shock. Ava looked up at him once she was done, and shook her head. She sniffled a little bit.
"Low dose of Oxycodone," She said, "My doctor prescribed it because..." She paused for a moment, "I get crazy pain on my period."
Connor raised an eyebrow, "You have opioids for... Period pain?"
"You wouldn't get it."
Connor carried her into the waiting room, and through the doors.
"Connor?!"
"Ava Bekker, IV drug overdose, had one dose of Narcan and woke up, passed out en route."
Maggie was shocked, "Treatment three..? Uh... Will, treatment three."
"And page Sarah!"
"Dr. Charles said that high functioning addicts are one of the most dangerous types of addicts, because they are less likely to see that they have a problem and seek help."
"Sarah, I'm not an addict."
"Hey, I just got your text what... How?"
"Something IV. We're waiting on the tox screen. Er... Look at this," Connor scooted closer to the bed, and rolled up Ava's sleeve, showing Sarah the janky PICC line.
"She got... She got a central line? What doctor would-"
"She placed it herself, Sarah."
Sarah's mouth fell open. She looked at the sleeping Ava on the hospital bed, held her hands up in front of her, "Wait," She shook her head. Tears welled up in her eyes, "Wait, Ava, we went out to dinner last night, she bought a bottle of some... fancy wine, she came back to my place, she helped me pack, we were supposed to move in, what is going on!?"
"Sarah, she's being treated, she's going to be fine," Connor looked up at Sarah, "She's going to get to go home."
"I'm not letting her come home," Sarah said sharply, "Not until she goes to rehab and comes out sober. AND enrolls in outpatient care."
"You sound so angry," He looked up at her, "We knew this would happen, we talked about it. We've even talked about it with Ava. Why do you sound so surprised?"
Sarah shrugged and rolled her eyes, pulling up a seat next to Connor, "I don't know. I just... I'm just stressed out. Working, moving in with you, now this? I just," She gave a short sigh, "I feel like I'm drowning in it all."
The two sat silently for a moment. Sarah reached her hand out to where Connor was holding Ava's, and held both of their hands in her left hand.
"Are they going to pull the line?"
"I assume so, but I don't know when."
"Street drugs? Jesus, Ava, do you even know how much damage I saw from street drugs when I worked in the ED?"
"I have rounds," Sarah looked at her watch, "Sorry. Um, page me if anything changes or if she gets moved up onto a floor, and let me know when you get tox screen results," She started to leave, then turned back around, "..I love you, Con," She looked over to Ava, "I love you, Ava."
Ava, of course, didn't respond. But Connor did, "I love you too, Sarah."

(A/N) idk if i like this, but it's a good start for this au! i know for sure that placing a picc line yourself is a horrible, dangerous thing, and nearly impossible, but just wait for the next part of this :)

Only Murders in the Building S01E08
Last week OMITB graced our screens with a virtually dialogue-free episode (for which I will anticipate some awards). The episode was no less than exceptional, but with a somewhat lackluster ending. I mean, who kidnaps people these days anymore, and in fricking New York City?
Following last week's stellar directing, sound editing and script writing, this week's episode, titled "Fan Fiction", serves as the 8th episode of the season and starts with a group of true crime podcast fans waiting in front of the Arconia building.
So why the ending last week if the rest was just so spectacular? As one of those fans puts it, "Why are you being so negative? [..] trust the team". So I'll do just that and keep watching with an open mind (and heart) and see where this is going (I mean, the show was renewed for a second season, so my guess is we are heading towards a mind-boggling cliffhanger, but hey, it's not over till the fat lady sings).
After the theme song plays the story resumes in Theo's van where Mabel and Oliver are currently held captive. Then, they meet up with Teddy and ride in his limo.
1. How long were they in the van? It's already sunlight when they met Teddy;
2. Was tying them up necessary? Mabel even had a blindfold on, I mean, you just untied them when switching cars. This is just lazy writing.
Nathan Lane as Teddy delivers some very good acting, in a grave tone, which we are not used to seeing him do, and so proves just how good of an actor he actually is. We already knew that, but, his versatility still amazes me.
So, Teddy blackmails Oliver and Mabel in producing a final episode of their podcast affirming Tim Kono killed himself due to loneliness or else he knows where they live (really good pun, good delivery!).
Oliver and Mable meet with Charles, who together with Jan, went through Tim's phone and discovered that Tim saw Theo pushing Zoe off the roof. A bit of wasted time, if you ask me, as the audience already knew this piece of information from the secondary narrative plain from last week.
Following setting up a rendezvous with detective Williams, at her request and to aid her in the official investigation, the team prepares a podcast episode releasing evidence found in Tim Kono's phone ("the who, the how, the why and the why now").
I feel obliged to pause here and to mention that Selena delivers her lines most of the time in a better-than-expected way, while mastering the art of sarcasm and low-key funny. Not to mention, that not even half-way through the episode, we got to see bagels and home-made pizza rolls, two quintessential NYC items, and someone was hungry while writing this.
Carrying on, Oliver invites the true crime podcast fans waiting outside to his apartment where everybody was working on putting the pieces together in solving the mystery and producing the next episode of the podcast. Amy Ryan's Jan gets funnier as the show progresses, in a subtle way (kudos to the writing team), playing the unknowing but very-sure-of-herself female character and love interest, by being "reverse-helpful" (Oliver's words, not mine).
Oliver starts directing a reenactment of what happened on the night of Tim Kono's death using the three fans as Tim, Theo and Lester the doorman.
Shall I mention that up until now, the highlight of this episode was fan#3's attempt at portraying Theo by covering his ears with his hands, at which point Oliver, righteously so, said "never do that again"? I knew I shouldn't have laughed, but my, I do enjoy some subtle comedy in a passive-aggressive voice. The writers have managed somehow to bring some old stereotypes in current media and politely telling society this is not how to do it. Congrats!
Jan tried convincing the team to look into other suspects, not aware of past effort. "Please, exit!" said Oliver and Jan left the apartment. Approaching her flat door, she discovers a note on it with a message saying "I'm watching you". Queue mystery music playing.
The following morning the trio releases the final episode of the podcast, incriminating the Dimases, with police showing at their door: grave-robbery and the murder of Tim Kono.
As the team celebrates the podcast release, Charles texts Jan, but without receiving an immediate reply.
[WARINING! SPOILERS AHEAD!]
But, do not wind down, we have two more episodes to go, so of course, right before the end we get hit with a plot twist. The tox report came back and detective Williams noticed Tim Kono was actually poisoned, which means he was already dead when he was shot. Shocking, am I right?
And it's not over yet, there is photographic evidence the Dimases were outside the building even before the fire alarm went off the night Tim Kono was murdered.
Upon hearing the news, Charles storms off saying that his girlfriend was right for suggesting earlier pursuing other suspects and goes to apologize to her with a flower bouquet for dismissing her views. He finds Jan's apartment door open and he enters. Charles finds Jan laying on the floor, facing down, bleeding from a gun-inflicted wound.
Plot Rating: 7.5/10
Acting Rating: 7/10
Cinematography Rating: 5/10
Writing Rating: 6/10
Ending Rating: 6/10
Overall Episode Rating: 6/10
Now, what did you guys think of Only Murders in the Building S01E08 "Fan Fiction"? What else are you looking for when reading a recap? Let me know! Suggestions and feedback are very much welcome :)

10 Best Uses For Eucalyptus And Lavender Oil At Home
Eucalyptus Lavender Oil can help give your home a natural makeover.  Help reduce harsh chemicals at home with these versatile essential oils.
Here’s our top 5 ways to use Eucalyptus Lavender Oil as the cornerstone of your natural cleaning routine.
Eucalyptus Oil
Bins There’s fresh; and then there’s “Eucalyptus fresh”… it’s just a whole other level!  Bin odours don’t stand a chance against the antibacterial power of natural eucalyptus oil, and unlike many commercial air fresheners there are no synthetic fragrances.
Grab a can of Bosisto’s Eucalyptus Spray for best results.  It also kills common household germs you find around kitchens, which is a great bonus.   Floors
Eucalyptus oil really shines when it comes to floors.  It cuts through grease and grime and lifts sticky substances – and let’s not forget that aroma.   You can use pure oil in your mop bucket, but Bosisto’s Eucalyptus Solution is even better.  This water-soluble product disperses beautifully and allows for an even result on your floors.  Add 3 capfuls to hot water in your mop bucket.  Once you’ve had floors this fresh you’ll never go back.  (ps. If you have indoor cats, instead of Eucalyptus Lavender Oil can be substituted)
Mattress
Obsessed with this one!  Each time you change your sheets, give your mattress a good spray with Bosisto’s Eucalyptus Spray.  It kills germs, freshens and deodorises… who doesn’t love sleeping on a fresh healthy mattress?   For a change from Eucalyptus Lavender Oil can be used instead.
Surfaces
Cleaning is a breeze with eucalyptus oil.  Any surfaces, but particularly ones that are sticky or greasy.  You can wipe over neat with 100% pure oil on a cloth (try this to whisk makeup stains off your bathroom vanity), or fill up a bucket with warm water, add 2 capfuls of Eucalyptus Solution and use this to wipe any areas of the home to your heart’s content.  It’s especially good for grubby, sticky cooktops and rangehoods, or where sticky dust settles like window tracks and ceiling fans.
Windows Did you know you can make a DIY Window Cleaning Spray with Eucalyptus Oil?  Well now you do!  Click here to find out how you can ditch the disturbing bright blue chemicals for a more natural alternative – and keep your windows sparkling.
Lavender Oil
Laundry
Lavender oil is simply lovely in the laundry, especially when you’re laundering linen and towels.
Give your wash a boost by adding 2 capfuls of pure oil, or Bosistos Lavender Solution in the final rinse to freshen and fragrance.
It’s a great low-tox alternative to commercial softeners.
Keep Bugs Away
One of the essential oils with a reputation for repelling bugs, lavender oil is handy to keep around if you have ants, mozzies, flies, moths… in fact any kind of creepy crawlies that aren’t invited inside.
Soak a cotton ball in pure lavender oil and place around windowsills (keep out of reach of pets).  Consider growing lavender herbs in pots outside your doors.    Diffusing lavender oil in a diffuser is also useful – great for dinner parties inside.
Pop 30-40 drops of pure lavender oil in a spray bottle with some distilled water and spray over patio furniture and outdoor furnishings.
Yoga Mat Spray Lavender is great for freshening gym gear, including shoes – pop a cotton ball with lavender into your sneakers to help keep them fresh! This DIY Yoga Mat Spray is also terrific, and can be used to freshen and wipe over any home gym equipment such as dumbells and exercise balls.
Drawer Freshener Drawers and cupboards can get a bit musty, particularly in rooms that don’t get a lot of use.    Wipe inside drawers with Bosisto’s Lavender Solution in some water, or give things a quick freshen up using Bosisto's Lavender Spray ( great for pillows and mattresses too, as an alternative to eucalyptus). You could also make DIY Drawer Freshener bags to keep your drawers and wardrobe smelling amazing all the time!  Bonus – lavender is said to deter moths. Relax! Of course, the ultimate lavender oil use is for winding down at the end of the day.  Spray your pillow with a Lavender- based Aroma Mist, diffuse an essential oil blend containing lavender in your diffuser or try a few drops in the bath.   It’s the ultimate wellbeing treat to reward yourself for living a more natural life!
Always read the label.  Follow the directions for use.  If symptoms persist, talk to your health professional.
