Been a bit of a draining period mostly a little ill, now I'm up to do stuff to keep my sanity xp I've been making some stickers— I've been stalling doing it forever cuz already one page took eternity to cut *has scissors grip marks after finishing* but I've done ittt yay hehe :'D

Totally to also go with— like another idea I did few months ago, was thinking of ways to get my art in physical form cuz I wanted that experience for the first time-- came across those mini albums and the idea hit me! It's much more affordable, reasonable and looks good, considering the low quality, i can print 9 pics in a one A4 size paper c'x

alright so heres ABOUT what ive got. heres the image from the fight stick promo stuff that has a majority of the smaller quality ones. the issue is i have sources from so many desperate areas of the web its a bit hard to compile them all but heres my best attempt

this is where i first saw there was a full set of these things and got kinda obsessed. heres where to buy the few that are still in stock btw.

from there they did a lot of charms and pins with these designs, so its kinda easy to find them with this style of background out there. a few ive only seen in decent quality from this kind of thing. not like. amazing but a way better look at a few of em than the buttons.

from this website i managed to extract these images of a couple of them. which are really cute but so funny. the sol and ky are similarly cropped so i wont bother posting them. just silly to include. this site also has some other cool merch its neat to poke through. (particularly it has some images of the halloween merch which is SO cute)

anyways from THERE we finally get to the ones i ripped from the old website- heres about the best quality ive gotten out of any of these chibis besides teh 3 i have in full quality. (though theres a surprise i have) no i have no clue why the johnny is higher quality.

friday - saturday

very tired, woke up super early for no reason today.

but that is a #good thing.

i just made something funny on a lark but i actually really really like it, look at this gif of my friend i just made, a series of pics i took one night:

it feels mostly really funny but it expresses like actual pain / struggle, and he really was just acting... it's super kinetic, i wanna experiment with this now as a way to make moving images. it's just something everyone's done already i guess but it feels like, more precise than editing video. the raw materials are fewer, so it feels more like i can work with montage easier almost? create assemblages which link up strangely, even... hummmmm. exciting!!! the next step would be to i think attempt one with images i have, flickering between scenes/sequences, on either side of another image in the center... something such as that. one thing i wanna avoid is the retro-ism of some stuff i've seen out there like this, where it takes on a quality of being like, well i just want to avoid it being weirdcore or whatever, or like those videos people make where it's like a point and click adventure game.

i worked on music today, too, i wrote some drum parts for 2 songs. very excited about that... some parts are very weird re: time signatures so i'm gonna really struggle doing vocals on those parts!!! yay!!!!

since i'm probably on a bit of a better sleep schedule, i'll get to actually being regular about other work and reading and stuff. but to maintain that, i ought to go now, not much to say today, other than i feel better, i cooked, i am always happier when i cook. how strange is that? not strange at all probably.

like i said though, sleepy, i was falling asleep sitting here a bit ago, i guess before going i will run thru my tracks and see which ones i might want to go back to fiddling with, there's one i fiddled with and maybe it's a good idea to try the new guitar plugin on it, as long as i keep that plugin as a sub layer instead of being the main body of the sound.

oh, also i found out what these are called, finally:

there's one track i exported from today, it has no bass or other synths, just drums + guitar, because i wanted to see how it sounded, it's like insane,,, i think one thing i may wanna try is using a duplicate of the amp sim and then running it w/ no cab sim and then using an impulse response or pro-r2 or something to try and get a more natural low end focused sound as a layer? i dunno, we'll see. i should just leave it until i add bass and stuff, it might be really good and not really need that.

i think maybe i should try it out as a layer on an earlier problem song as well... perhaps... maybe... it can't really hurt, so i'll see how that goes, i just kind of want the sounds to have a little more... i want the amplification to just sound better, and grottier stranger distortions, it seems like it can get clangorous. it also seems like it can be rather thin and i might wanna try doing some pre eqing before amplifying in the plugin, to increase the thickness a bit, maybe.

hi i slept in til noon (oops) so ive got layers upon layers of parasocial dreams inception style. it was really long

- the first part of the dream i barely remember but i was basically teaching charlie slimecicle how to do this handshake i do irl that ends with actually shaking their hand and going "pleasure doing business with you" and he thought it was funny"

- i was in a hotel lobby waiting for the miku concert in april, and fuckingg wilbur soot sits at my table and we start chatting. there was a whole theme throughout the dream of getting really low quality pictures with the ccs, i was trying to use this bedazzled camera app thing as a bit but it wasnt working.

- anyways, i "wake up" and check my camera roll, and of course it was a dream. so me and my mom go to walmart. and we're checking out, and the cashier is like, "you can get an extra 10$ off if you buy a soda" or something and wilbur comes over and sets a drink can on the checkout conveyor thing. i try to take a picture with him.

- i "wake up" once again. no photos on my camera roll. fuck.

- i DO however, have pictures of me and charlie from the very beginning of the dream (yay continuity)

- i guess like. in the dream, discord servers were physical worlds you could be in, and custom server profiles would change how you looked irl. so i went to this server that was like a grocery store parkinglot and my layout was genloss charlie so i had dyed green hair at the tips and horns n shit.

- i go to one of the cars (a jeep) and overhear charlie and. someome. talking. specifically about dyed hair. i also see some paper that belongs to me i left in there so i open the back door and charlie stares at me. i slowly do the "pleasure doing business with you" handshake.

- we end up getting lunch together and the person he was talking to takes these like. reverse pics of us where charlie acts like im a celebrity and im so uninterested

i left out so much shit there was a whole bit with a gacha machine in the hotel lobby between layers, clearing my discord servers it was very complicated

Aaaand now to the infamous LO review that I've put off until now because I wanted to inform my own opinion and not just try to grind against hers. And yes I'm actually gonna detail my response out below even though I'm getting a computer soon and can make videos again. Yay~

She doesn't like isekai, which is fair. There's a bloat of low quality isekai hitting anime stands the past few years.

Madoka Magica - is she trying to say Princess Tutu, RGU, Sailor Moon, and Cardcaptor Sakura are all deconstructions of the magical girl genre? I can't speak to RGU but Princess Tutu is more a deconstruction of fairy tales imo, not magical girl stories. And then SU pops up on its own?

Oreimo - haven't heard of it but the fact that the younger sister is apparently an otaku with a younger sister focus is... LO why is this one of your examples

I don't like that Princess Tutu is in her S tier anime list. It means we agree on something being good. Hamtaro is harmless. I know Spy x Family is supposed to be good, but I've not been a fan of Yor Briar and her lack of character. Also, funny to note Yor's brother's infatuation with her. Princess Knight looks like it'd be really interesting and it's from a time when women's right to vote was very new in Japan. I look at the clear problems that this might bring up and look at LO's disdain for Rocky Horror and raise a knowing eyebrow.

FMA Brotherhood is brought up now. Wonder why she dislikes it.

She complains that she was different from the other boys (talks about presumed gender) by not liking Naruto or Inuyasha. A ton of girls watched Inuyasha LO.

I remember Sai mentioning that LO would criticize domestic abuse, so I'm marking this here for future scripting needs that LO straight up jokes about water boarding.

POSITIVES

A cast full of lovable girls -- yeah okay I guess.

A story about grief, loneliness, and perseverance -- There are hints of it here and there, mostly with Antarctica girl and the adults or Yuzuki's struggle with friendship, but really that's it. There's also nothing about perseverance. All the hard work is done before the show even starts.

A perfect mixture of optimistic glee, delightful cringe, and heart yanking sadness -- I don't think she and I agree on what is cringe here.

Every character is playing against some dumb archetype and I love it -- what the fuck? This isn't in her review and also what does she even mean? They're fairly flat and archetypical.

I love these adorable little shit disturbers so much -- what shit got disturbed?

Beautiful animation -- agreed.

melodrama (affectionate) -- melodrama (kinda boring)

NEUTRALS

contemporary setting -- ???

NEGATIVES

As I’ve been setting up my new clean template hoods, I remembered one of my favorite things to do with the Goths. I think Darren is an all around better guy than Don (obv) and I try to play him less as a creepy r/nice-guy type fella, and more like the kinda dude that’s been friends with Cassandra and Mary-Sue for a long time, but repressed his feelings for a long time because he didn’t want to ruin his friendship with Cassie. I somewhat begrudgingly follow along with the scripted events for the Goth household, just so I can throw a wedding party, invite the Calientes, get Cassie to catch Don greeting them all schmaltzy-like, realize he’s full of shit, then run to Darren for support and be like “screw it SOMEONE has to get married, do you wanna get engaged?” and woo yay Don and the Calientes are no match for the Goth family. 

(Don: Goooood evening, ladies *smirks chadly* *kisses Nina’s hand* Cassandra: Ugh! You perv! I thought you only acted that way around me! I thought it was sweet that I brought out a cheesy, romantic side of you. Don: bitch you thought what lmao)
