Can I just talk openly for a minute? I'm tired of being selfish. There....I said it. Since when....did I become the center of the universe? Maybe I'm the only one...but I tend to think this is a stealthy battle we all face. I'm tired of being "all in" for myself, for ONLY my family. The sole focus of my soul being on what makes my life tick...... I want more. There.....I said that too. I want more than the heartbeats of food and clothes...I want to be less tired, less twisted from this life....I want to be seeking and helping, maybe even healing another life. Not bc I'm "all that"....goodness NO...but bc I'm loved. And I walk IN that love. I want to pull down heaven for a hot second, and LAVISH love out on those that surround me. What if I....danced in the darkness of who they think they are, and shined some light on who they ACTUALLY are? The light of love.... Legendary love, that doesn't crease at life's extremities...or cease at life's cliffs. Love that FIGHTS. LOVE THAT HOLDS. Love that is transparent and bold, and.... beautiful. Love that takes the focus OFF of me...and this snapshot of what I see. Love that sacrifices....bc it is WORTH it. Love that leads to a better life, for them...but for me too. It is a bridge. It is a path. It's actually what makes me grateful for all I have...AND all that has been deposited in me, that I can GIVE. I applaud reality. I admire transparency. Not bc it's perfect...but bc it's TRUE. It has very little to do with me....actually. It has EVERYTHING to do with my effort....of a simple smile, that might make them feel WORTHWHILE. Making the minutes I have with them... anyone, and everywhere my path takes me......into memories we can all have of HIM. That....is what this life is about. That...is what I will bend my "busy".....to do. I want to be more. I want to love more.
