Bringing my two cents to the (in)famous Luke "Chanel Boots" Skywalker joke because I actually have weird thoughts about Luke and fashion tropes that go beyond haha gay blonde twink like luxury brand.
Thinking about Luke's characterization and fashion as a narrative device. The significance of Luke leaving Tatooine with literally nothing but the clothes on his back and donning Corellian Bloodstripes at the end of A New Hope.
Thinking about Luke's wardrobe gradually transitioning from lighter colors to black throughout Episodes IV-VI.
Thinking about the sheer intentionality of Luke having an all-black wardrobe in Return of The Jedi onwards. Is it to honor his father? To mourn him? To remind himself of who he could be and who he already is? All of the above? Thinking about the deliberate asymmetry of Luke's single black glove. Thinking about the white flap on his chest.
Thinking about Padmé and how she was molded into fashion since birth, the extravagance of her outfits and makeup as an Amidala. Thinking about how Luke seems to mirror her regal anonymity with his cloaked grim reaper fit. Thinking about Luke's disconnected relationship with his late mother and wondering if he ever felt the same level of restrictive empowerment she did when she wore her gowns.
Thinking about the nuances of queer fashion and how it can equally be as empowering and restrictive to the wearer.
Thinking about the white and orange prison uniforms in Andor and the colors of the Rebel Alliance.
Thinking about my old Modernist Literature professor who wrote her thesis on the colors of stockings in D.H. Lawrence's fiction and how women characters chose to wear bright stockings under their long, billowing skirts that no-one else but themselves could see. Thinking about the color pink in Legally Blonde. Thinking about reading dress and fashion as a legitimate pathway to literary analysis. Thinking about the utter significance of Luke's entire outfit. All of his outfits.
Thinking about those damn Chanel Boots.

This past weekend, I was showing my friend my Marko jacket and explaining the different components. I was wondering aloud why these specific tapestries were picked for it and she goes “what if each one represents one of the other members of the Lost Boys?” It got me thinking, and it turns out that theory actually works.
The jacket is made up of five tapestries: two are the pinups, and the other three are velvet rugs, all from the same Italian company. The three velvet ones depict a peacock, a matador and a bull, and a leopard.
Paul - The Peacock: The most obvious of the three. Like a peacock, Paul is loud, showy, and in-your-face. He spends most of his screen time in the movie strutting around, “peacocking” for everyone watching.
Dwayne - The Leopard: Dwayne's outfit has several leopard motifs in it, from the one painted on his jacket to his earring and necklace made of animal teeth and claws. He’s also the most physically intimidating of the boys, being the tallest and buffest.
David - The Matador: Matadors rule the ring, controlling the crowd, their assistants, and the animal they’re fighting. They’re a ringleader, like David. The way David lures Michael in is both strategic and theatrical, like a matador waving the red flag to encourage the bull to follow and charge when he desires. And in the end, how does David die? Impaled on horns, having miscalculated and gotten too close to a raging bull (Michael in this metaphor).
Is this a stretch? Maybe. But costumes are an excellent way to silently convey character and tell stories. I think this set of headcanons is a really fun train of thought, and would explain why Marko chose those specific tapestries for his jacket.

TWF fans have a strange habit of, for lack of a better word, woobifying Mr. Walten.
I think a lot of you seem to take this series a lot less serious than it actually is, and those same people have a very bad habit of making Jack out to be a saint. He's just a normal guy. Just because he loves his family doesn't mean he's some sweet and perfect guy who has no flaws. I never see any of you discuss or portray his anger issues that Martin has mentioned numerous times.
You all blatantly ignore the fact that Sophie's only memories she retained of him were that he was angry and he worked all the time. Just because he loves his family and didn't abuse them doesn't mean he's perfect. To deny him of these flaws take away what a dynamic character he's being written to be.
We know Felix sucks. We all know this because no one shuts up about it. That's his best friend of 20 years, someone he chose to have around his family, and someone he chose to start a business with. Felix's actions don't reflect on Jack, obviously, but you have to think about the fact they are best friends of 2 decades.
The small bit we know about Jack and what things Martin has let on to his personality over time is very different than what everyone makes him out to be, and it's strange. If you choose to ignore that Jack is just a normal middle-aged man in the 70s, that's on your own inability to actually like the character that's there.

Bruh I just thought of something really silly
So people have been modding Dottore in Nuevillite's place, and his idle of drinking water made me realise that: when Dottore drinks from a mug, the beak of his mask will dip into the drink first before he gets a sip.
Now all I'm imaging is Dottore, taking a sip from his coffee and you just see coffee drips on the beak of his mask?? He's drinking like an actual crow I can't???!!
Reader seeing this for the first time loses their shit cause what??? And webtorre has to use a straw his mask only leaves half of his mouth exposed
Dottore isn't even safe with those cups with a coffee lid, he just ends up pecking the lid and has to regrettably use a straw
PLEASE 😭 Not gonna lie, lately I've been thinking about how it is to kiss Dottore with the mask on. I know we've seen his side profile and all but, with the length of it, it makes me wonder how easy or difficult it is to kiss him... how many times does it bump into your nose? Do you have to twist your neck to avoid the part jutting out?? Does it block his mouth sometimes?! (Cheek kisses with Dottore real) Anyway- YES.
I too have seen the mods with him and I just... *explodes*. It makes me so happy to see him in the game like that even if it is a mod. AND AHH I CAN TOTALLY SEE THAT HAPPENING... especially if the glass is filled to the top,, It explains why his notes have both ink blots and spills and also random drops of coffee... you don't understand why he doesn't just take off the mask, it's not glued to your face, Dottore dearest...
Webttore gets a past at least... I mean, it's rather cute to see him gnash and crew on the straw when he's deeply concentrated. The only way you can get them to drink normally is if you randomly start kissing them all over... then they drink without the mask.
Poor guy. Maybe he has a special mask created for public events that has a shorter beak... Pantalone and Bina would never let him live it down.
