buck loves wearing tommy's clothes almost as much as tommy loves seeing buck in them. he accidentally wears one of tommy's old, worn LAFD t shirts to the station one day, getting really confused when chimney whistles, saying you got something you wanna tell us, buckaroo? he blushes like mad when he realises, but walks around with a massive smile on his face for the rest of the day, thinking about one day getting to wear his name for real

tommy's very into casual physical contact - he slips his hand into buck's back pocket when they're walking down the street, pressing a hand to the small of his back when ushering him through a doorway, an arm around his shoulders when they're watching TV on the couch. it's not even a conscious thing most of the time, but buck fucking loves it

inspired by @canonbibuck 's headcanon of tommy having a fixer upper and @bigfootsmom 's incredible fic, tommy buys a house and he's asking buck's opinion on everything. the colour of the walls in the living room, the backsplash in the kitchen, even the fucking light fixtures. buck's confused by it, and when he brings it up to tommy, he gets shy and quiet in a way buck hasn't seen him get before, saying evan, it's going to be our home one day. you know that, right? it's only fair you get your say. and buck is so fucking taken aback by how much he loves that man that he presses him to the nearest hard surface and kisses him senseless

speaking of, buck just loves ??? just kissing tommy ??? like with no expectation of it leading to anything else ??? (although if it does he definitely doesn't complain). they'll roll around in bed for an hour before a shift, just pressing eachother to the mattress in different ways and kissing eachother senseless, the world falling away until it's just the two of them

hi! was there something particular that made you call buck and tommy getting together in 2020 👀

OMG! SO it's a bit of a complicated story. I started watching 911 from the very first episode when it first premiered but I wasn't involved in the fandom until 2020. I tend to watch the episodes with zero expectations (a way I think a lot of people should watch) so I'll be honest, I didn't see the groundwork for Buddie until season four. I read exclusively from the Hurt Evan "Buck" Buckley tag so some fics had buddie and some didn't.

The first fic I wrote for the fandom was Waving Through A Window and I knew Athena was going to help Buck get ready for a date. I didn't start the series thinking it was going to be buddie (and I was more than a little disappointed in Ryan at the time). I'd written Tommy in Safe Exception after part one and liked writing for him especially that scene between him and Bobby.

I also liked Lou's face.

So I toyed around with it in my notes before I settled on Eddie because by then the buddie bug had caught. But even after then I'd always said on here and with my friends in my real world that I thought Buck and Tommy needed to make out a little.

Sal tugs on his t-shirt for the fourth time since he put it on half an hour ago, grimacing in discomfort. It’s too tight around the arms, and the collar feels like it’s suffocating him.

“Did your t-shirt shrink in the wash?” Hen asks when he reaches across the table for the last piece of the garlic bread.

Sal makes a face, pulling at the collar again. “Feels like it did.”

Howie shoots him a smirk. “Not your usual s-medium size, huh?”

He opens his mouth, ready to hit back with a smart comment, but then he sees Tommy coming up the stairs, and his stomach drops as the realisation hits. They’re roughly the same size, height wise, but Tommy’s a little leaner, not as broad-shouldered as himself, and it’s fairly obvious when - and where - the mix-up happened.

“Is that my shirt?” Sal asks, because he might as well point out the obvious before anyone else does. Tommy stops in his tracks just as he reaches the table and looks down at his chest, then meets Sal in the eye with a wide-eyed gaze.

“Why did I even agree to let you do my laundry? Stupid reward for a stupid bet.”

Tommy sighs, shoulders deflating, his relief evident in his expression. “You guys finished the garlic bread? Seriously?” he asks, changing the subject.

“Sal took the last piece, take it up with him.” Hen pulls out the empty chair next to her for Tommy to sit down, and passes him one of the takeout boxes with a scribbled note that says ‘risotto - mushroom’ on it.

“Sal is a bastard man,” Tommy jokes, shooting him a playful glare from across the table, and Sal grins and winks at him, and tries to not get too excited at the sight of Tommy in his LAFD uniform t-shirt.

okay so i was rewatching far away from home yesterday and thought of spiderman buck getting hurt and like, basically crashing into eddie's apartment. and eddie being the competent paramedic he is, patches him up??

“Christopher won't believe me when I tell him Spiderman was here. The one night he isn't here, I swear.” Eddie grumbles and mutters under his breath, probably not intending for Buck to hear any of that. And he probably wouldn't have if it wasn't for his enhanced hearing.

“Who's Christopher?” Buck asks, mainly to distract himself from the pain when Eddie starts kneading the needle through his skin.

Eddie startles. but to his credit his hands remain steady and calm while working on Buck. “My son,” He replies after a few seconds. “He is seven years old and obsessed with you. All he talks about is Spiderman, I swear. Probably a good thing he isn't here to see you, or he would've peed himself from the excitement and would be asking you a million questions.”

“That's adorable.” Buck smiles, and then his breath hitches when Eddie performs another stitch. “I love kids.”

“I love this one.” Eddie mutters.

Buck starts noticing new things he hasn't before. Like that picture on one of the shelves in the far corner of the room. A photograph of Eddie and the kid Buck assumes is his son— it looks like it's from Halloween. Eddie is dressed as Snake Plissken from ‘Escape From New York’, holding a tiny and adorable Christopher dressed as Spiderman in his arms. He has red glasses over the mask, and they're a little askew. It's— so endearing and charming that Buck thinks he might burst with it, suddenly reminded of why he does this. Of why he endures all the bruises and stabbing wounds and nights like these.

“Fine,” Eddie grumbled, reaching around Buck to shut the water off. They stepped out of the shower and dried off in comfortable silence. Buck tugged on a pair of sweatpants while Eddie decided on just boxers. The gentle intimacy of going to bed— of locking up the house and crawling into bed together, was almost too much for Eddie to bear.

Hands fic is going well!!! I want to have it done by the end of the weekend but no promises and buck calling Tommy Thomas is still just a vaguely outlined idea in the back of my head but I promise it’s gonna happen!!! For your patience you can have a snippet of hands fic :3

Stepping further into the bathroom, Tommy comes to stand in front of Buck, hands hovering in the space between them — not unsure, just waiting for Buck to give him permission. Buck tilts his head back, looking up at Tommy as he widens his legs. Tommy steps into the space easily, warm hands coming up to cradle Buck’s face between his palms.

Buck lets his eyes flutter closed, basking in the warmth of Tommy surrounding him.

“Oh, sweetheart.” Tommy’s thumbs swipe over the high points of Buck’s cheeks and Buck thinks he could lose himself in the soft drag of his fingers over his skin. “What happened?”

i have no idea what the halloween fics could be about but the titles are fun 👀 do you have one that you're most excited about?

Ooh an excellent question! Those are not their actual titles but fun fake titles I made up that are hints as to the plots. As for those plots... hmmmm...

I mean I'm excited for all of them, but the last one is one I wanted to write last year, but I just couldn't quite grasp a plot for it. I'm a sucker for moodboards, as some readers might have noticed. My Zombie AU, Cowboy Reincarnation AU, Angel!Buck AU, the two Hades/Persephone retellings, the Fast & Furious AU, the Stardust AU, and I'm sure a few others that I'm currently forgetting were all inspired - at least in part - by moodboards that people made.

So, surprise surprise! There was a moodboard that inspired the fourth fic! (For those of you wondering, it's the fourth on my pinned post list, You Know I Can't Stand It (You Runnin' Around).) I wanted to do it SO BADLY but an aesthetic does not a full plot make, so I just put it on the backburner.

Then... well, for some reason, I seem to get a lot of inspiration for Halloween fics in November? RIGHT AFTER HALLOWEEN IS OVER??? Because my brain likes to torture me. I was determined to find a plot for that fic idea this year. And lo and behold in January or thereabouts I was chatting with someone and they ended up being a sounding board as I finally figured out the plot.

Obviously it's still in a very raw stage of a sketched-out outline, but I'm excited about it! I'm going to have a lot of fun with it. It'll touch on something I've written a few times before, I think twice in Monsterfucker's Symphony and then as a twist in another fic, but I'm excited to really have it take center stage and to play in this world and how Buck and Eddie handle said world.

And if you're thinking, "Hmmm Mads is really bending over backwards to not tell us what the plot/setting is," YOU ARE CORRECT. I WANT YOU ALL TO GUESS. BECAUSE I'M EVIL. MWAHAHA.

So yeah I'm truly excited for all four of these Halloween ideas but the last one is one I've wanted to really sink my teeth into for a couple years now so I'm glad I finally figured out how!

so basically i kept seeing her with 911 related things, and then i got more into the swiftie side of tumblr too and they were also everywhere there, we became mutuals, she sent me their buddie ppt for swiftie ppt night (an immaculate work of art) and then we started chatting in DMs and asks and discovering that we are really fucking similar (one instance of this) and wanted to then send videos of rosa and juni so we exchanged numbers. and then for their birthday i wrote them a fic -- mind you i am oblivious at this point. i then sorta realized that i had a crush in like march or so and hopped on the dating apps again to try to combat it which got me three dates with someone but i was not comfy with them after that. so i deleted the apps again. and i get distracted by some other life stuff including realizinf that i need to fucking quit my job, so i deal with that. (all through out this amelia and i are sending each other asks about kissing each other etc etc) anyway-- July 2nd hits, Amelia is attending the Eras Tour, i'm watching a grainy lives stream as usual, and ms. swift begins to play ivy -- which is a very special song to amelia and i post this, why you ask? because i was crying over the fact that she was getitng to hear it live, and that i was by extension watching that happen through the stream, and that i was singing it with her too. i was down very bad. (still am btw) and then i said this and this

now-- its the end of september, crush night -- the pivotal moment. i reblog this and answer this ask amelia makes polls about dating tumblr mutuals etc etc -- moral of the story: we are dumb!!! (there are so many other posts if you go to my archive btw) anyway @loveaffairmaimyou finally got sick of us and dm'd me asking who my crush was and at this point i kinda figured it was mutual and was very much freaking the fuck out. we finally talked to each other about it. and history was made
