I thought I would see if there were any serious buyers out there today in the knife community. I have marked the price down to $500 trading value, or $450 cash as I have been asking $725 for it. Only serious inquiries need to reply by text at 270-293-4801. Please no low ballers as this is an historic piece of Vallotton quality, that would only accentuate someone's knife collection. This is My Rainy Vallotton, Custom Automatic. It's called, The "SHRIKE",,,, which he said is 18-years old and still in excellent condition. Plus it fires like a Banshee. It has some fantastic steel that I have really grown to love by previous knife makers. That's why I can appreciate ATS-34 steel even more so. Especially with some of my favorite coloring on it's scales, green and black G-10. SUUHHHWWWWWEEEEETTTTT !!!! Rainy Vallotton comes through with this sweet double action automatic that's an incredible piece of work. For those that may not know, Rainy Valllotton is the son of Butch Vallotton and is a knife-making prodigy in his own right. In the knife-making mecca of Oregon, Rainy creates knives that flourish with color and character. He is primarily known for his automatics and use of exotic materials. @loveit πŸ”ͺβš”πŸ—‘2οΈβƒ£πŸ‘πŸ‘β¬†οΈπŸ˜‰πŸ‘Œ @autoblade_edge #knifegasm #knifeporn #knifecommunity #knifecollectors #knifefanatics #knifestagram #automaticknivesrule #automaticknifelover #lovethisbladedude #bigbladesrock #badasserybrotherhood.

Still loving this Grayman Satu. One heck of a knife. Thanks always to Sue and Mike Grayman for all they did for me with this awesome knife. They're one of the best knife companies you'll meet. I'll never forget how they took care of me when I got this knife as its blade was messed up as well as the entire knife. They took it from rough into pristine, leaving it just like a brand new one. Not only did they correct everything that was messed up, they even restored it with a brand new blade. You do not get this kind of guarantee or warranty or professionalism from anybody. I wasn't even the original owner and they took care of it, then shipped it back to me without charging me one cent. Now I challenge you to give me your best knife company story. I guarantee it will not meet up with the same Quality that you get from these people. Next time you plan on spending money on a new knife, think about this story before spending it with any other knife maker. Thank you Sue and Mike. You rock in my opinion. @graymanknives #bestknifecompanyinthebiz #graymansatu #graymanknives #grailknives #lifeiswhatwemakeit #livingthedream #knifenut #knifegasm #knifelove #knifeporn #knifecommunity #lovethisbladedude #bigknivesrock #baddassery #badasserybrotherhood #bad2dabone

This is my entry for today and "FIXED BLADE FRIDAY".... It's my custom Steven Tedford knife that I helped design and he made in July of 2013, just for me. It's made with ATS – 34 Steel, and has a Rockwell hardness rating of 62 – RC. Stephen works one-on-one with you when making a knife for you and my style blade is something he says he's never thought of before but said he truly loves. The style is what he says he would classify as a survival knife. You could swing it and chop down a small sampling, fillet a fish with it, skin a moose or spread peanut butter and jelly. And that's how I wanted it to be, basically a knife for all purposes that if necessary, I could even use in the house or on a camping trip. This life is fantastic as I like a big belly knife, and I also helped design this one to have that along with a similar shape relating to a Ghurka Khukri. It came with a certificate of authenticity as well as an appraisal. Check him out if you want a fantastic knife. Stephen Tedford's knives are located in Ontario Canada. Here's the link and his websites information. http://steventedfordknives.com TEDFORD KNIVES HAVE BEEN MAKING THEIR WAY INTO COLLECTORS AND OUTDOOR PROFESSIONALS AROUND THE WORLD OVER THE PAST DECADE. BORN INTO A FAMILY MACHINE SHOP, STEVEN TEDFORD BEGAN HIS KNIFEMAKING HOBBY 20 SOMETHING YEARS AGO AND IT TURNED INTO A LIFELONG COMMITTMENT TO THE ART OF BLADESMITHING. STEPHEN SAID THAT FUNCTION IS BEAUTY; THIS IS THE FOCUS BEHIND EVERY KNIFE MADE. EVERY KNIFE IS 100% HANDMADE FROM SCRATCH BY STEVEN TEDFORD. EACH KNIFE IS UNIQUE, WITH IT’S OWN FEEL AND TRAITS. IN A WORLD SUFFERING FROM BOTTOM LINES AND DISPOSABLE PRODUCTS, TEDFORD KNIVES STAND SHOULDER TO SHOULDER WITH THE CRAFTSMAN OF DAYS GONE BY. EVERY KNIFE IS UNCONDITIONALLY GUARANTEED FOR LIFE, NO QUESTIONS ASKED. PLUS ONE TREMENDOUS THING I LOVED, WAS THE FACT THAT YOU GET TO WORK DIRECTLY WITH STEVEN TO BUILD THE KNIFE YOU WANT, ONE THAT WILL LAST YOU FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE !!!! @stephen671 #tedfordknifes #nonebetterthanhim #livingthedream #lovethisbladedude #bigbladesrock #bad2dabone #bigknivesrock #baddassery #badasserybrotherhood #knifelove #knifegasm #knifecommunity

Today's EDC is my Mini Butcher, a sweet mid-tech design from Andre De Villiers that is a scaled down version of his popular folding design. Scaled down for more comfortable pocket carry, the Mini Butcher from Andre de Villiers is a compact flipper with smooth action. The smokewash finished blade has a fuller groove, thumb disc, and a swedge spine. Titanium handle construction with a jimped back spacer and pocket clip. It's smooth, fast, sharp, lightweight, and tough - really everything one looks for in an everyday carry blade. The Butcher has a 3" Wharncliffe blade made from the excellent S35VN stainless steel with a tactical Blackwash finish. This top quality blade has a blood groove that allows you to open the knife easily using a thumb or two hands if you don't like using the flipper. The handle is Black Smokewashed Titanium with skeletonized holes to add grip and reduce weight. They are produced in small batches which is what makes this knife a mid-tech instead of a full on custom knife where each handle is made specifically for each knife. The Titanium lock has a lockbar stabilizer/over travel mechanism similar to the Rotoblock and stabilizer that ZT uses. The pivot point is what sets this knife apart from all others. It has an inset torx screw that fits inside the pivot, allowing you to tighten down the pivot while adjusting the centering or overall smoothness of the action. That action is very smooth to say the least. Jimping on the flipper tang thumb ramp are sharp and functional, really nothing was overlooked on this awesome design. There's even a small run of jimping on the deep carry clip to assist you in drawing it from the pocket. This may not be your typical looking knife, but get it in your hand and you'll definitely warm up to the design thanks to all the great features it has. This is a ton of heavy duty cutting power for under four ounces! Specifications Blade Length: 3" Blade Steel: S35VN Stainless Steel, Blackwashed Thickness: 0.157" (4 mm) Overall Length: 6.875" Handle Material: Smokewashed Titanium Weight: 3.8 oz. Handmade in South Africa. #minibutcher #advtactical #lovethisbladedude #knifegasm #knifetrade

10- Points if you actually know what this is ? ( The Answer at bottom, don't peek ) πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆ Along with the invention of "Black Powder Rifles", came the need to cut the swath of cloth, that encompassed the powder, separating the lead ball within the barrel of the rifle. The quicker a rifle could be readied, the increased likelihood of perfection and accuracy. The rifleman needed the ability to cut that piece of cloth, known as "The patch", thus the "Patch-Knife" was created and hung around their neck. Ur basic very first neck knife was born, later being adopted by tactical knife lovers everywhere. Here's some info on the beginning of black powder rifles. "European inventors of the black powder gun include a monk, Berthold Schwarz, in around 1330, and Roger Bacon, a friar from Ilchester, Somerset, in 1214. Both are credited with coming up with the idea of the gun. It is interesting to note the unfortunate coincidence that the most efficient killing apparatus in the last 700 years was thought up by churchmen. The use of these weapons is similar regardless of the firing mechanism. So it is worth separating the weapons into the basic types, in approximate historical order (although there are massive overlapping periods of use). This is based upon the particle use of all the weapons, which are tested methods used over the last ten years including research from many areas. As time progressed, guns became easier to use and it was simple to train the men who used them. On the battlefield, accuracy was not the issue; efficient mass fire was the key to winning (not much different to the rain of arrows fired at Agincourt). Accuracy was down to the individual and came to the fore with skirmishers and snipers. The flintlock is general considered the most accurate gun due to the speed of the lock and it also made a good sporting gun for the gentry." #lovethisbladedude #patchknife #blackpowderrifles #knifecommunity #knifecollecting

This is my Wade & Butcher 8/8's which in my opinion, give the closest shaves I've ever had. No joke !!!! My Wade & Butcher 7/8's seemingly does the same. Wade and Butcher was a tradename of the W & S Butcher Co. Brothers William & Samuel Butcher started the company in Sheffield in the 1820s. Not too long after they had a partner named Robert Wade who was the New York based importer of W & S Butcher knifes for the US. This was one of the main markets for the company's goods prior to the introduction of the McKinley tarifs of 1891. Not all W & S B knives are marked Wade and Butcher. In 1921 the American company Durham-Duplex bought W & S B and used it for the production of their safety razors as well as other forms of cutlery. W & S Butcher ceased production in Sheffield in 1959. #straightrazor #shavelikeyourgrandpa #shavethewaymygrandpadid #shavelikeaman #shavewithastraightrazor #shavingcommunity #lifeiswhatwemakeit #livingthedream #lovethisbladedude
