I no longer love you

I miss hugs and kisses. I miss belonging. I miss the peace your arms brought to my world. I miss the safety and comfort your embrace bestowed. I miss the ability to kiss your face as I pleased. I miss the ability to touch and cherish you. I miss the ability to appreciate our togetherness. I miss you caressing my fragility, when the world broke my stars. I miss the ability to imagine. I miss running to you in my head, the moment I saw you arrive in the airport. I miss you sweeping me off my feet and making love to me, when distance really had made our hearts grow fonder. I miss you grateful to have me in your life. I miss the days you wanted nothing more than to put a smile on my face. I miss your love. But your love wasn’t love, honey. I couldn’t stand you any more, either. It hurt like hell when you asked me to cry myself to sleep, instead of sympathizing with my tears. It sure hurt like hell when you slept with another girl. You forgot the humble man I fell in love with. You forgot kindness. You forgot respect. You reflect selfishness. I no longer recognize you. I no longer love you.
