How bad it is, right?

Parents undergo a lot of hardships and struggles, pretending that everything is okay, but deep down, their hearts know the pain they are holding in. All of this is for their kids and their future. They love their kids more than they love themselves. The happiness in their eyes when you succeed is the best moment ever.

Honestly, parents are the only ones who truly stand by our side at any time. They are the only people who genuinely pray for our success and happiness.

But when these kids grow up and get married, the parents are left alone. No one else in our lives would sacrifice their happiness and everything they have just for us to be happy. Yet, such selfless people are abandoned and left to loneliness. Isn't it unfair to treat our parents like that in their old age? They have literally spent their entire lives making us into the individuals we are today.

Every individual must remember that the great and happy position they are in is only because of their parents. Why can't we love our parents as much as we love our friends? They deserve happiness, especially in their old age.

Parents are the real best friends who would do anything and sacrifice everything for us. They are the real ones. Instead of spending all your time with friends, spend quality time with your parents. It's worth it, and you'll discover so many interesting things about them.

They cherish your childhood memories and engrave every moment in their hearts.

Saat itu aku senang dan disaat itu pula aku marah & terakhir aku menangis.

Saat itu kau penuh dengan canda dan tawa. Berbincang dalam hal yang bermakna, maupun tak ada makna. Gaya candamu benar-benar membuat kami tertawa dan saling melempar senyum dengan rasa bahagia.

Saat itu kau pernah membuat kami terluka dan marah. Tapi dia tetap menguatkan kami untuk tetap memaafkan dan merangkulmu kembali ke jalan yang lebih baik.

Dan terakhir, saat itu kau memberikan kami rasa takut. Iya rasa takut yang luar biasa. Kami takut dengan keadaanmu yang semakin di luar kendali. Kami hanya terus dan terus berdoa, agar kau bisa bertahan sedikit lagi untuk bisa tetap menjaga kami. Tapi larut dalam pengaharapan itu, Tuhan berkata lain untukmu dan untuk kami. Pecah tangis dan emosi yang tak terkendali karenamu benar-benar menyiksa jiwa dan raga kami.

Bapak kau menang, karena kini kau membuatku menangis tanpa ada rasa lelah.

The mystery of the long-living (20 years!) family sourdough starter recipe has been solved (and found!). As it turns out, it was used primarily not for bread, not for buckwheat, but for sourdough pancakes - or hot cakes - as Grandpa liked to call them. 🥞 Tucked inside my mom’s cookbook was his original recipe that he had sent her sometime in the 1980s when the starter was living its best life alongside my grandpa. 🥞 In his everyday demeanor Grandpa could be a little stern and a little steely, but I like to think, based on this recipe and his notes, that he saved all his fun and all his joy for cooking.
