Set in the DOFP finale verse that is no doubt the author's specialty, the story comes with an alluring, intricated plot that leaves you on the edge of your seat along with all the feels.

Technically also brillant, the linked story is definitely one you don't want to get spoilered for beforehand because the ending will leave you in absolute awe and tears. The author doesn't shy away from including the darkest sides of Scott's past but handles every subject with the necessary care and respect, and as I said ... You don't want to miss out on all that delicious smut!

The Day Before the Soldiers Came by Cerylid

Cery is offering a much-needed fixit for the team dynamics between the X-Men and Logan before X2 with this story. It comes with a lot of humor but also far more feels than you expect. The texting is hilarious but it's the quiet tones that get to you.

is basically my go-to X3 fix-it. You look for something to make that movie right, you got it all right there. Along with a bit of horror (we are talking about resurrection, after all) comes a dramatic rescue mission in a mental limbo, and you get an Avenger and Emma Frost guest-starring. There's a couple of follow up chapters that explore both scogan and Tony/Emma a bit further, and we even get a Laura version in old movieverse along the line, and of course all the nasty nasty smut you guys are here for.

The new Amazing Digital Circus episode is probably the most painful so far

Despite other episodes having their own fair share of sad moments and those that felt rather painful like one with Gumigoo being popped or with Kinger. I think this one hit me the closest because of how it was written. And I think the best example of it was this moment

I feel like a lot of people probably can tell this feeling. And I must say this was handled very tastefully. It definitely felt respectful and it reminded me of times I had This happen to me. It's a place I've been, I don't want to return to and I know I will return to.

It's been lots of places like that. Like when I failed college. I kept failing my driving exam. I lost a job. My grandma lost more and more of her mind before she died. Seeing family members die. Always going somewhere away and letting those bursts in those small moments (sometimes I screamed so loud and hard I went blind for a moment) all the while you harbor that feeling of being worthless. Like you are dragging everyone down. Like your mere presence is like poison to others. Those are feelings I know. And it makes me feel really terrible for Gangle.

And that moment with the truck... it was also familiar.

That sudden moment of joy and happiness over something. Small feeling of freedom. Of fulfillment... and then you want to throw yourself under a car. That is also familiar. Because those small bursts of joy or happiness do not solve a problem. They are something you also let out and then you go back to feeling terrible. You cannot be free from this. Not really. Not like this.

I am still going through such issues. I want to go to psychologist. Maybe get some help for what is going on with me. But I feel a lot of pain from watching this episode because I felt every moment of it somewhere in the back of my mind.

But... those moments and that feeling. It doesn't last forever. It never does. I did get a job... before losing it again, but I keep trying. I and many other of my family are still here and I love them. I finally passed my driving exam. I went far in my new school. I do accomplish things. I do something good and worthwhile... At least I hope so. I still fail and I will keep failing, but I will keep doing something well... I hope.

Life is never steady like this. It never gives you such consistency. There is no blessing of that. Both good and bad times eventually end and change. Life always changes and best you can do is go with it's flow. The most important part is, is to not get stuck in a moment of when the life gets low because it will go back up. It's a path that will never stay one way forever. And that's okay. What's important is how you handle what life gives you.

Okay. This went a bit sad. But I have some funny trivia to share too!

In Polish dub. Gangle makes a reference to a very good Polish movie named "Dzień Świra" or "Day of the Mad Man" in English. A movie about unfulfilled poet who is very bitter and hates his life and everyone around him. It's a very fitting reference. It's a hilarious movie that spawned a lot of memes in Poland.

Also in Polish dub at the end Caine was about to say "Jestem Zajebisty" where "Zajebisty" is a curse word meaning "Fucking awesome" and he starts glitching in that moment. That was funnier than OG I must say. This is really one of those GREAT Polish Dubs. Also Gangle's VA in Polish Dub absolutely killed that scene I mentioned first in this post.

Hope this was an interesting read. A bit of personal one for me. This episode hurt, but it also gave me some level of comfort and I appreciate it a lot. It's definitely my favorite episode so far and I hope Gangle will get better. As I hope I will too. Also Jax suffering brings me life.

My Favorite Characters with ADHD

Again, these are only my opinions.

Jeremy - The Secret Of NIMH. Come on. Look at him. He is a combined-type ADHD boy if ever there was one. Distracted, clumsy, impulsive, I bet the writers either had ADHD, knew someone who had ADHD, or had a child with ADHD.

2. Newton Geiszler - Pacific Rim.

Also impulsive as fuck, a class clown, obnoxious, yet obnoxiously smart, and somehow still charming as fuck. He reads very ADHD to me. BB. Forgive me for using the meme gif. It's just so good.

3. Rose Nylund - The Golden Girls

Who doesn't love Rose? She's friendly, sweet, fun, creative, horny, and hilarious. She also can't remember anything for more than five minutes, and is the human equivalent of a small, cute dog who bumps into things a lot by accident. I love you Rose. Long live Betty White.

4. Sherlock Holmes (The Jeremy Brett Granada-Holmes).

I actually think Holmes may have had both ADHD and Autism, but really, Brett's Holmes is bombastic, impulsive (seeing a trend), able to hyperfocus at the speed of light. Overshares, blows up friendships. Cannot keep a clean flat. Hyper as all get out. Think about it.

5. Nadja of Antipaxos - What We Do In The Shadows

She's a hot mess. Distracted, forgetful, intensely interested in some things, and cannot be bothered to give a flying fuck about other things. Out of sight, out of mind. She's probably also AuDHD actually, but for the purposes of this list, I will draw your attention to her many impulsive and rash decisions surrounding her emotions, and her over the top RSD. She's so beautiful, help.

6. Jonathan Strange - Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell.

Oh my god such an ADHD boy! He cannot sit still, and he has no patience for rules or regulations. He's self centered, impulsive (hello!), running off on the King's Roads, and drinking mouse juice to make himself go mad on purpose. Failing at four careers before finally becoming a magician by absolute accident. I love you Johnty. Never change.

7. Cornelius Hickey (or whatever his real name is) - The Terror.

He's impulsive (aye-oh!), makes sudden, rash decisions, is prone to flashes of anger, has off the charts RSD, and though he manages to hyperfocus on sabotaging the expedition for his own needs, he still makes a lot of careless mistakes and fucks it up royally. Too bad one of his hyper-focuses wasn't "learning about ships". I love you Hickey, you adorable bastard. How is his hair always so good?

8. Back to JS&MN for Christopher Drawlight.

Christopher Drawlight cannot sit still to save his life. He's always being charming, chatting people up, and making social connections, both real and fabricated by himself. Only sometimes, he loses track of which lies he's told, and to whom, which gets him in a lot of trouble. His hyperfocus is social status, and he can't let it go, even at the bitter end. He's really one of my favorite characters, even if he is a horrible person. This goes for both book and show Drawlight, by the way. Both top notch. Both ADHD as fuck.

9. Dory - Finding Nemo.

I mean... do I have to say anything else? I don't think I do. I love Dory so much. I relate so, so much. Inattentive ADHD Fish Sister.

10. All versions of Doctor Who, but Tenant is becoming iconic, and I love him, so let's go with number 10!

Just an all around hyperactive ADHD guy. Fun, creative, adventurous, risk taker, IMPULSIVE (it doesn't end). But really, all Doctor Whos feel ADHD to me. There's something capricious and clumsy and dreamy and jumpy about all of them.

My Analysis of the Best Paired Endings in 3H (Part 17: Annette/Gilbert)

Gilbert: I remembered how happy you would be, as a child, when I handed one of these dolls to you. Annette: I was back then, but I'm not a child anymore. It's too late for this now, Father. It doesn't make me happy anymore. Gilbert: Annette… Annette: I… I was so lonely after you left. I was always, always alone. I didn't know where you were, or who to turn to for comfort. All I could do was look at the dolls you carved for me, and remember you…and weep! Gilbert: If you don't need it, you can throw it away. It is all the same in the end.

Annette was also a victim of Faerghus's patriarchal culture. The tagline for the game was, "Sweet memories twisted by time's cruel hand". Her fondest memories were related to her father. But Gilbert was so devoted to the king that when he failed his duty as a knight, he felt too ashamed to live a happy life and abandoned his wife and daughter. He didn't even think he had the right to smile.

Ashe: Your father gave it to you. I know you said you'd throw it away, but you can't just toss out something so important. Annette: Ashe… Thank you! I'm so happy!

Annette shared her paralogue with her father and many of her Supports ended up being about him in some way or another.

Annette: Then the least you can do is apologize. I'm fine, but Mother deserves as much. I've finished my studies at the school of sorcery and entered the Officers Academy. I have a busy and satisfying life now. But Mother… She's waited for you to return all this time, living under my uncle's roof.

The Crest of Dominic is associated with the Empress arcana. It represents the divine feminine principle, which includes qualities such as abundance, nurturance, motherhood, and love for home and family. And Annette's story arc revolved around her broken family.

Dimitri: Annette… Something's been weighing on me. Something I've done terribly wrong. Your father… He worked tirelessly. I don't know if I ever saw him take a rest. I feel as though, in a way, we stole him from you.

I probably can't talk about pairings without addressing Netteflix, the #1 most popular ship for Annette. The two of them actually had a lot in common. Both of their fathers were so devoted to the dead king that they failed their living children. There was a lot of potential for them to connect on a deeper level because of that. But the whole Support chain revolved around singing. Which actually ended up working out pretty well.

Felix: I want you to sing for me. Your song never leaves me, whether I'm asleep or on the battlefield… I might be a captive of your song. Annette: Captive… Wh-what are you saying?! That's… um, embarrassing! Felix: …I-it can't be helped. I don't even know what I'm saying! Annette: W-wait a minute… Why are you blushing, Felix? Felix: …Mind your own business. Annette: …………….. Felix: …………….. Annette: …I don't really get it, but if you're saying that much, then you can listen to my song again.

I found their A+ Support absolutely hilarious. It seemed like Felix, who was raised in a strict military family, had so few opportunities to experience people expressing themselves, that he became utterly fascinated by singing. It was something foreign and exotic to him. He only showed interest in Dorothea when he learned she could fight, but even MORE when he learned she could sing.

Felix: Alright, then. Sing something for me. Any song you remember. Annette: Leave it to me! Then, I'll sing you my favorite song! Um, um. Burning with fiery life, carrying the blood of flames... Let's get into the bath with our bodies still hot...♪ If we start to feel dizzy, let's take a break...♪ Once we've revived, let's try getting in again...♪ ……………… Felix: ……………… To get in a bath when your body is hot… That's some determination. I should learn from that. Annette: ……………… Felix: However… to rest after getting dizzy and then enter again… You really like baths that much? Annette: ………

In their Hopes Support, the lyrics for Annette's song were slightly more suggestive than they were in the localization, since it alludes to people getting in the bath together. Annette was blushing when she finished singing. I think she assumed Felix asking her to sing was a way of him showing romantic interest and she was attempting to flirt with him by choosing lyrics that were a bit risqué. But Felix just did NOT pick up on it at all. It went straight over his head.

Felix & Annette After the war, Felix inherited the title of Duke Fraldarius from his late father, Rodrigue. Some time later, he married Annette, and the pair earned renown together by working hard at restoring their territory to and beyond its former glory. The people adored the pair: Felix for his fierce determination, and Annette for her boundless cheer. Years later, Annette threw herself into songwriting, and with the support and encouragement of her husband, she produced melodies that remained popular for generations. The lyrics became distorted over time, however, and the original meaning of the music was lost.

They're an inoffensive ship with a pleasant paired ending in AM, although I don't exactly ship them. I thought it was great that she was able to help him find a passion for something unrelated to military or warfare. I always thought that his "passion" for swordsmanship was drilled into him from birth rather than genuine. Still, I think the joke was that he fell in love with singing, not Annette herself. I thought they had deeper relationships with other characters.

Annette: Mercie, we'll stay friends like this forever… Won't we? Mercedes: Is something wrong? You sound worried. Annette: Since our time in the capital, so much has happened. We've had to make new lives for ourselves, and we've seen at least as many hard times as good. If things keep changing like this, I wonder if we'll be able to stay the same people we are now…

Other than her father, Mercedes was the most important person to Annette. In their A-Support they both confessed their love for each other. And while it did seem like the bisexual Mercedes may have loved her beyond friendship (especially in the Japanese), Annette seemed insistent on emphasizing her platonic love.

Annette & Mercedes After the war, Annette and Mercedes lived separate lives: the former as a teacher at the school of sorcery in Fhirdiad, the latter as a cleric at Garreg Mach. Though they lived apart, they exchanged letters so frequently and shared their lives with one another in such detail that it was as though they were side by side. After many decades, they resigned their respective positions and reunited at Garreg Mach. In their final years, they relocated to a modest house in the Fortress City. It is said that they were happy together to the very end.

They will not be life partners even if you go for their paired ending. It's slightly a bittersweet ending, showing how, as friends get older and pursue their own dreams, things don't always stay the same between them. While they do eventually reunite during retirement, I don't consider it to be the most satisfying ending for either of them.

Annette: You know, you might already know, but my uncle is really strict. He always said, "Do everything perfectly on your own, whether it's cooking, studying, cleaning, or laundry." …Otherwise, being a knight's daughter would just mean being bought by a noble for their Crest.

By the end of the game, I did not ship Annette with anyone, nor do I think any of her romantic paired endings offered a truly satisfying conclusion to her storyline. Even at the Goddess Tower, she just wished to stay friends forever with Byleth. Romance and marriage had little to do with her character arc and she expressed more interest in her friends and family compared to her love life.

Annette: My father was so happy to see me using magic… Seeing him happy made me happy too, and that made me want to work even harder. If only things could have stayed like that… Byleth: What do you mean? Annette: When I was about 13, my father left home. He was a devout man, so I figured he'd gone to the monastery. That's why I went to the school of sorcery, so that I could eventually get accepted at the Officers Academy. I studied harder than ever, and sure enough, I finally earned a referral.

Annette joined the Officer's Academy to reunite with her father.

Annette: After the battle at Gronder, some people claim they saw my father. They said he walked off the battlefield clutching… His Highness's dead body… So long as Father's alive, I don't need anything else. I just… I hope to see him again one day…

And her motivation for joining VW is simply to find him. Repairing her relationship with him was absolutely vital to her happiness.

Dimitri: Say, Annette… When this war is over, where will you go? I heard that you were close to Baron Dominic back in the academy days. Annette: That's right… But five years ago, my uncle betrayed the Kingdom and went over to the Empire's side. I reconnected with Father. So I'd like to live with my family again, in the capital. Also, if I'm in the capital, I'll be able to see you from time to time… Right?

In many of Annette's paired endings, she moves away to live with her husband (Claude, Linhardt, Felix, and Ashe). But she wanted to stay in Fhirdiad to live with her family, and so she could stay in touch with her friends such as Dimitri. I was rooting for her to reconcile with her father more than getting a husband. Gustave was clearly the "life partner" she wanted most.

Gilbert: Still, I wonder what path my life should follow once we achieve our goals. Byleth: Aren't you going back to your family? Gilbert: That has been my intent. But surely my daughter, Annette, must have her own path to follow. Perhaps she would be happier if our paths diverged. Of course, if she desires it, I will gladly return.

And that's obviously what he wanted, too. Gilbert prioritized his duty to his dead king over his relationship with his living wife and daughter. Similar to Dimitri, his character arc was about forgiving himself and realizing that he should live for himself and not the dead.

Dimitri & Gilbert Dimitri assumed the throne of the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus and spent his life ruling justly over Fódlan. At his side was the knight, Gustave, who had discarded the name of Gilbert and reaffirmed his oath of fealty to the royal family. After many more years of service, in which the trust between them grew and never wavered, Gustave finally wished to retire. Though he bristled slightly at Dimitri's request to look after and tutor the young prince, it is said that Gustave took on that duty with due patience and solemnity for the remainder of his life.

Gilbert only has a few paired endings. His ending with Dimitri depicts him becoming a father figure to Dimitri's son, which is the same as his solo ending. And it sounds like he was still bound by duty and guilt, unable to have his own life or even retire.

Annette: I'm not going to cower in safety while they struggle, especially when I'm in the best position to help. Gustave: If you sense any danger at all, child, promise me that you'll run. I couldn't bear to lose you.

For better or worse, Annette was the most important person to Gustave in both Houses and Hopes. His guilt and shame led him to make bad choices. But in Hopes, when it came down to life or death, he was a father first and a knight second. He will let his daughter flee, so that he could die in her place.

Gilbert: Your Highness, may I ask what your next plan of attack is? Should we dispatch our troops to the Kingdom capital or to the Imperial capital? Dimitri: We will take the Imperial capital. There, I will kill her. We end the war and chase away the lingering regrets of the dead. Nothing could be more to the point. Annette: Uh, that may be true, but don't forget that your people need our help right now…

Annette's relationship with her father was interesting due to how inextricably linked it was to Faeghus's toxic culture of chivalry and the overarching themes of AM's story.

Edelgard: But one cannot measure a leader's worth based solely on whether or not they bear a Crest. There are plenty of talented people in this world without one. People believe Crests are blessings from the goddess, that they're necessary to maintain order in Fódlan. But the people are wrong. Crests are to blame for this brutal, irrational world we live in. Their power is granted only to a select few, whom we elevate and allow to rule the world.

One such theme was "blind obedience". Because Dimitri bore a certain Crest and had the "divine right to rule", his attendants were not willing to step in and call out his poor leadership. Without Byleth acting as an authority figure to override Dimitri, everyone in the Kingdom army will be sent to their deaths.

Gilbert: Annette, throw down your arms! Would you really fight your father? Annette: I can't do it, Father. I can't betray Mother and my uncle! If I have to defeat you, then so be it!

There is unused dialogue that was apparently meant to be an alternate scenario based on whether Annette was defeated in Part 1 and was unrecruited in Part 2. Annette sides with the Empire because she has given up on her father and wants to stay loyal to her mother and uncle. And Gilbert is so loyal to the king that he's even willing to kill his own daughter. It was clearly the "bad" ending.

Annette: We thought maybe you hated us, were trying to forget all about us… Gilbert: Never. I swear it on his late majesty, and on my homeland. Annette: I see. All right…then swear. Swear that some day, when this war is over, you'll come back to us. Gilbert: I hear you, Annette. I will return without fail. Annette: No matter what. That's a promise you just made. If you break it, I'll never speak to you again. Gilbert: Yes. I promise.

And it was meant to juxtapose the "good" ending.

Gilbert & Annette Having discarded his false name, Gilbert, now the royal knight Gustave, renewed his loyalty to King Dimitri. Returning to the capital city of Fhirdiad, Gustave reunited with his wife, who had been staying with Baron Dominic, and his beloved daughter Annette, who began working as a teacher at the capital's school of sorcery. Initially, conversations within the family were somewhat awkward, but over time, smiles and warmth returned. In the Kingdom free from the shadows of war, the three of them enjoyed peaceful and happy days, reclaiming the life they once had.

A fulfilling occupation was vital to Annette's happiness. Her strict uncle wanted her to be perfect at everything, so she wouldn't be sold off for her Crest. She worked so hard because she wanted to support herself. Her dream was to become a teacher. When she was younger, she wanted to be a teacher at the school of sorcery, and she achieves that in the ending with her father.

This is the only ending where Gustave completes his character arc and learns to live for himself. Deep down he was not a bad person, and it was rewarding to see him get his priorities straight. He could still serve the royal family, but his focus should be on his own family. He is a father first and a knight second.

I just finished ep 686 things are off the wall. Usopp became jesus??? I think?? kyros's story is so sad oh my god i hope him and rebecca and all of riku's family get to live a happy peaceful life after this...oh luffy carrying around law like a fucking carboard cutout is hilarious punk hazard was truly only the beginning of law having a bad time he is suffering nonstop in dressrosa and looking so pretty while doing it its so funny. Zoro's fighting Pica who's name and voice both sound like pokemon. uhhh doflamingo is my favorite one piece villain to date I cannot wait to see him get absolutely rocked by luffy I hate this smug overgrown flamingo man so much hes also my favoriteee. The dwarf people are cute the usopp cult is insane and another example of a plot that would be incomprehensible to someone thats never seen one piece. oh the other strawhats are probably at zou by now? i hope they're alright...OH OH OH OH SABO SABO SABOOOOOOO chen chen do you know how much i creid when sabo showed up do you? tears in my eyes running down my face. YEAHHHHHH god Dressrosa is so good ain't it!! One of my fave Usopp moments he's SO good in this arc I love how he manages to beat Sugar and him not running away from the fight ohhhh it gets me and it's also just a very funny fight too lmao.

I love how Law just fucking let's Luffy carry him around everywhere in Dressrosa for SO long, like he just goes full boneless it's so funny ajskdflyl. And yesss Doffy is a stinky evil man but probably my fave villain I think? Along with Croc and Big mom too maybe but objectively I think Doffy is the best there's a lot to him but he's also just a lot of fun on a base level.

SABOOOOOOO I think it's a lil goofy that Oda gave Luffy a new brother and had the amnesia plot line lmaoo but like Luffy deserves it and Sabo is just a really good character I can't be mad lol. Anything to do with the Rev Army I'm a big fan of fr fr and KOALA IS MY GIRLIEEEEEE I LOVE HER SM 💜 Her and Fisher Tiger's story really hit me so when she came back in Dressorsa all grown up I screeeaaaammmmeed she's SO cool to me.

Hawkins x Jean is beautiful. The whole plot is simply the best: failing forward incarnate. The masquerade trifecta. The disguises. The songs. The wenches. The silly dancing. Danny Kaye can absolutely sing, and his voice is gorgeous. His speciality was reciting tongue twisters.

My favourite line in the whole movie is: "Sometimes tenderness and kindness can also make a man. A very rare man." Coming from a strong woman who had to claw tooth and nail to become the pinacle of her rank. In the 50s.

Again, I love this movie to much that I got a tattoo of it.

my thoughts on the WoT characters after book 5

before I start posting Lord of Chaos thoughts, I wanted to sum up what I think of the characters after The Fires of Heaven (and New Spring) so I can look back on it later. I’m sure I’m missing some, just listing everyone I have thoughts on.

Alanna: I have my eye on her after those sus forced bonding comments… time will tell but I don’t trust her at all. I like her though, she’s fun.

Asmodean: he was funny as hell, what a pathetic guy, and had objectively the most hilarious death in the series so far.

Aviendha: this is probably the character I have the least complicated feelings about. I just like her. she’s funny, she’s badass, her relationship with Rand is great.

Birgitte: a hot bicon. every word that comes out of her mouth is gold. she’s such a bro.

Egeanin: standout side character to me I love her so much. yes girl unlearn your cultural biases! and be unhinged and horny on main!! she better come back!!

Egwene: girl I want to like you but you're making it so hard 😭 as a character she's great. as a person I'm struggling with her dumbassery and her superiority complex and the way she's treating Nynaeve.

Elaida: she’s cringe and bad at her job but I kind of stan. she’s doing her best and it is absolutely not good enough and she’s being puppeted by the Black Ajah and only succeeded at deposing Siuan because a bunch of teenage boys stabbed people for her. I can’t even be angry at her tbh.

Elayne: book 5 was so great for Elayne. she's maturing a lot and she really shot up the list for me. her interpersonal relationships are so funny and I love how excited she is about making ter'angreal.

Faile: maybe absence makes the heart grow fonder but I miss her and want her back. she was so silly but also loved Perrin so much and I’m such a hopeless romantic that I loved the sappy parts.

Gareth Bryne: this man is a CREEP!! Siuan get AWAY from him! ugh ugh ugh. and I know it’s only going to get worse.

Galad: unfortunately this man is one of my favorite character archetypes. I didn’t vibe with him at first but now I really do.

Gawyn: I want to put him in a paper shredder. I am so angry at this man even after a full book to cool down post-coup. please let me deck him. I do think my feelings will change but right now I’m still angry as shit.

Graendal: problematic queen. do I think RJ will do anything interesting with her, probably not, but am I intrigued, yes.

Lan: THIS MAN BREAKS MY HEART DAILY. ohhhhh my god. not normal about him.

Lanfear: hmmm complicated feelings about book Lanfear. I found her introduction painful and annoying - it’s way too obvious - but she improved and I do love how crazy she is. it didn’t really sink in for me until her conversation with Rand in Tear that she’s delusional and obsessed with LTT to the point of being completely out of touch with reality, and therefore v scary. TLDR I love her now. RIP gone too soon.

Leane: I have no idea what’s cooking with her, I just have to RAFO. I’m either going to think she’s an icon or get angry at RJ for being sexist and I don’t know which.

Liandrin: the balls on this woman are actually insane, trying to Compel Moggy. she’s way too cartoonishly evil to be really interesting though. but she makes so many sexually charged dog references which I love tbh.

Logain: he’s fine I guess. hard to tell where his story is heading and he kind of hasn’t done anything.

Loial: he has never done anything wrong in his entire life, he's perfect and I love him.

Mat: I've come around and I like him now. his memory stuff is really interesting and so is the way he interacts with fate/the Pattern.

Melaine: best Wise One I love her so much.

Min: she’s never clicked with me as a character and I think her motivation is kind of dumb and repetitive. I also really dislike how salty and disrespectful she is towards Siuan but that has to do with my personal issues about the Siuan plotline so I can’t totally blame her for that.

Moghedien: I NEED to put her in a petri dish and poke her with a stick. girl you are not subtle about your petplay kink. somehow she’s scary and pathetic at the same time and I just love her a lot.

Moiraine: I can’t even put it into words. she’s my everything.

Morgase: I feel so fucking bad for her, her POVs were horrific, what a survivor. I'm excited for when she gets a bigger plotline.

Nynaeve: my favorite character who’s on page at present. first of all she has a Forsaken collared. second of all she’s so angry and I love angry women. also she has no self awareness which makes her POVs very amusing, but also sometimes devastating — I love her struggling with fear and her perceived cowardice in TFOH.

Perrin: I constantly forget he exists. not in a bad way but not really in a good way either - he’s just bland to me.

Rand: he is my idiot baby boy. go insane faster please it’s interesting.

Rahvin: good riddance you creepy fuck. not even awful in a compelling way to me, just awful. good as a character, well-written, but AAAA.

Siuan: her arc after being stilled is distressing to me and I don’t like reading it - her loss of power and influence, the way the other Aes Sedai all treat her, the sexual harassment… so I have a hard time separating that out from Siuan herself. I’m… torn. I love some of her scenes and some feel very out of left field. we’ll RAFO again.

Suroth: GIVE ME MORE. her POV was fascinating and she’s so awful.

Thom: against my best wishes, I actually like him now. he’s so dad coded and protective of Nynaeve and Elayne, and a badass, and has a good sense of humor.

Verin: what an icon!! favorite Aes Sedai bar none now that Moiraine is gone.

I closed the door to Bl/each after the tragedy of 6/86 and briefly opened a window to LA, because well that pair is my weakness and it made me laugh how treacherously I/R it was.

So when weeks ago I saw a beautiful I/R fanart on Tik Tok (The anime came back, so the algorithm decided it was a good idea to torture me), and the response to a comment that said "They should have ended up together "was "READ THE MANGA", I was baffled. I mean, what did that mean? had I read a fake manga all those years and the "real manga" appeared Da Vinci Code-style after 2016? Was it all a Jump conspiracy? Have we been duped all this time?

That piqued my curiosity, so I wandered around several sites, reading publications from the "correct/canon/real manga" point of view; and well, you'll see even worse things the bible says.

Here are my favorites:

"The I/H was evident from the beginning, just read chapter 0": yes, because a one-shot that is a sketch of the general idea of a manga, that goes through many revisions and rewrites is absolutely determinant in the development of the main manga, and seriously, what exactly is the evidence?

"HM arc is the ultimate proof of I/H, he went to rescue her and even came back from the dead for her": well, so did her other friends and even R/enji and R/ukia, maybe they were all in love with her too. And about the resurrection...just...never mind.

"I/H are perfect for each other" Here I could do a whole essay from a psychological point of view that proves that it is an absolute fallacy and was more than clear in the FB arc, in real life they wouldn't work and would be a toxic couple. And God knows at least that boy needs therapy.

"O***ime looks like Ma/saki" * Bombastic side eye. Criminal, offensive side eye *

"O***ime deserves I/chigo”: Oh, so he was some kind of trophy for being a good girl, so it wasn't enough to objectify her, they also do the same with the boy.

"Ru/kia was a shinigami and I/chigo was a human, and she's much older than him, their relationship was impossible." *Everything but the rain entered the chat*.

"I/H fought together against Y/wach": And we all know how well they (he) did, right?

"W/D/k/A/L/Y": *sigh* that's what it looks like when you try to fix a mess and fail miserably.

"W/D/k/A/L/Y's scribble": ...

"Anime invented IR": The studio simply pushed something that was already implicit in the original material and they knew it would sell more, it's basic marketing. Most of us knew what was filler and what wasn't (rolls eyes).

And there definitely wasn't a parallel manga that magically made sense of that ending. What a disappointment.

And I/R are the delusional and lacking in compressive reading? It's so much easier to say you just don't like people ship I/R, instead of sending them to read the manga or giving lazy arguments. Pathetic.

This was long, but I just needed to vent or something, because I honestly found the whole situation absolutely hilarious.

As someone that didn't leave after the ending and has seen all these "amazing points" take form and basically became the classic "IH and pro ending dudebro agenda" list, let me tell you, I was and still am baffled too. No matter how many times I read them, I still get shocked at how some really believe that bunch of BS, or better they keep repeating it untill they'll believe it.

3 ships: Hmmmm ok I gotta list Taylor x Lisa, their dynamic makes me go absolutely feral without fail. Honestly I don't even need them as a ship I just love how horrible and amazing they are for each other. I am limiting myself to one Worm ship here, despite how much it pains me, but I shall provide brief descriptions for the other ships for the people who don't know the non-worm stuff here. Marina x Pearl from Splatoon are so damn cute and I adore them. Nepotism baby punk soundcloud rapper x runaway genius former child soldier military engineer is honestly just 10/10, and they're just so good! I swear to god if the DLC doesn't have a 20 minute cutscene of lesbian cephalopod kissing I'll riot. Splatoon is my biggest fandom besides Worm which is kind of hilarious to me considering the sharp difference in tone. Third ship... hmmm, The Doctor x River Song. I just think it's genuinely such a sweet concept and wonderfully executed, two time travelers who are in love but keep meeting each other in the wrong order so their experiences and knowledge of the other don't match up is tragic and great and I nearly cried at their final episode. Honestly just been a River Song fan forever too, she's eternally my transition goals.

First ever ship: Ohhhhh gosh this one is lame. Back when I was a wee lass in middle school browsing FF.net endlessly, my main fandoms were Pokemon and Super Smash Bros. I flat out didn't realize that you could ship anything except a man and a woman because like, no one told me, and I kinda was just not a fan of romance because I thought it was always forced in stories (I was right about that tho). But then I read a Smash Bros fanfic that had Lucina and Palutena shipped and I was just like... damn, women can kiss? That sounds so cool. Shame I can never do that. And so I read the shockingly large number of fics shipping those two because it was the only wlw ship I knew existed.

Last song: I don't actually listen to music that much. Last song is uhhh... the Monster Sanctuary PVP Theme I guess due to playing Monster Sanctuary PVP. If we're talking actual music, I think my sister forced me to listen to some Taylor Swift song recently? Idk what it was but I think the album was called 1984.

Last movie: I also don't watch movies much! Uhhhhhhhhh I think it was Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No. Might have been a different one? The Sharknado movie that ends with them crashing down to Earth inside of a shark after fighting them off from a satellite and one of the characters gives birth while coming down inside the shark and the baby cuts its way out with a chainsaw before the mom gets crushed by falling debris. Sorry for spoiling, I know everyone was really looking forward to watching Sharknado 3.

Currently reading: Making my way through the Snapshots series of Splatoon fics which are so fucking good. For published stories though, Sir Gawain and the Green Knight for a class. Thinking about rereading Worm and posting about it but I gotta beat the Lakesbian copy allegations.

Currently watching: I'm don't really watch anything when I'm on my own, I prefer to read in almost all situations. When I go home though, I watch One Piece with my sister because it is nice to spend time with her and she's very passionate about the show.

Currently consuming: Nerds Gummy Clusters. I regret every bite but I bought this shitty bag of candy so I gotta finish it. Fuck these are terrible.

Currently craving: Mini Chewy Sweettarts. Alright, I’m finally sitting down with this list!

I think you’ve got some fantastic picks for favorites here, Fart-Break Hotel and Stanny Tendergrass are personal favorites of mine as well.

-Delorean Story-An is an episode I tend to get mixed up with Toy Whore-y because it’s got such a similar set up but it’s a great pick if you’re looking for a Stan and Steve character piece of which there are relatively fewer than other characters. I specifically love the twist at the end that Steve had been laboring under the idea that at least they shared a love of Back to The Future to make him and Stan bonded only for Stan to reveal that he’s never even seen the movie and has his own reasons for wanting the Delorean so badly. It’s a good joke but it’s also a great way of reminding the audience that these two both want similar things, they just have so much of a personality gap that it’s hard for them to see it in each other, which is the running theme.

Also Roger and Francine dogging on Hayley for being boring and Hayley pranking them with one of two Chris Angel appearances in the show will never not be funny.

-Merlot Down Dirty Shame is a great Roger centric episode. I think it’s interesting the depth of character Seth brings to this cast despite the shallow demeanor of the series itself. Roger is self centered, horny, and impulsive but his genuine love for the family and his fear of losing their love is a topic that they keep consistent and this is one of the strongest contenders for an episode of that ilk. The lengths Roger will go to just to keep Stan from getting angry at him over such a small thing are hilarious and deeply in character. Plus this episode has some killer dialogue.

“I’m just gonna give you some time to cool off”

“IM GONNA RIP YOUR FUCKING HEAD OFF”

“Okay so you need more time.”

-Cops and Roger is the funniest Roger alone episode Roger going off the rails as his persona of a guy who failed to become a cop and now takes it out on his family entirely because of Steven and his friends stupid prank is gets progressively more absurd to the point that you just find yourself invested in this family that you’ll never see again and have never seen before. Kelly Clarkson’s “What Doesn’t Kill You” playing as he now widowed wife walks out of the restaurant with her kids is one of those great testaments to how well the team uses licensed music.

-The One That Got Away is one of those easy great American Dad episodes. A deep dive into Rogers personas being so much more than costumes to him, and how becoming all of these people can lead to some crazy consequences. I would say while something like “Roger Needs Dick” explores the emotional side of the personas all being facets of Roger, this one handles the mental presence of it phenomenally. I feel like I’m watching a thriller. There’s some obvious Fight Club inspiration going on and doing a Fight Club story but flipping the premise of Tyler Durden on his head was a stroke of genius on the staffs part. This is one that’s kinda hard to discuss because…like…it’s just a phenomenal episode You’d be hard pressed to find a fan that doesn’t agree.

-Fart-Break Hotel explores Francine as a character and I’ll be honest I’m very soft on Francine centric episodes. I think she’s an absolute riot any time she appears being a perfect balance of being a out of pocket as Roger while also feeling the most normal. She’s the duality of womanhood and an episode exploring how that balance has been thrown off by her lot in life is bound to be great.

-Joint Custody is one of the few early episodes I actually really enjoy. There’s some genuinely funny stoner jokes (the entire gas station scene is in my top 10 funniest scenes for this show) and it’s one of the first episodes that seems to get Jeff really nailed down in a lot of important ways. Considering Jeff is my favorite character, that’s pretty important to me.

Also, another episode with some killer fucking one liner deliveries

“He hasn’t spoken to his dad in years and his mom ran away before he was born.”

“How…how could she do that?”

-Stanny Tendergrass sees Stan get his ass kicked by Hulk Hogan this episode is perfect

-Independent Movie is a rare really good Snot episode! I think Snot episodes tend to lack because they so often have to focus on Steve and him getting into it over something which is obviously the case here. But here there’s so much going on between Snot very genuinely dealing with his father’s death to the manic pixie dream girl to the rare form earnest ending. Fun fact, this one is Curtis Armstrong personal favorite of the series and you can really tell why. It feels like Snot gets treated like more than Steve’s friend in this episode and Steve’s selfishness doesn’t feel overblown by the plot like it often does in similar episodes.

All in all some great picks, I can tell you’re a fan of the character deep dive episodes which I have the upmost respect for!

Okay, it's not just because I know you love him (same and his eyes in this gif are absolutely killing me he's so pretty!!!), but honestly I think Fives would just adore you. And he'd suggest, without fail, every Halloween, that you should dress up as a sexy nurse. Fives isn't necessarily an extroverted introvert like you, but he definitely is the type to have a lot of casual friends and acquaintances but only a few people he's really close to. It's always a shock to people, cause he's so outgoing, and it's Fives! But he definitely values taking time to build a relationship. Just because he's head-over-heels for you doesn't mean you're automatically close with each other. And though sometimes he struggles with the idea of "slow and steady" in practice, he appreciates each and every time you open up to him, and the deepening feelings inside him as he does the same. And with Fives being as adventurous as he can be, he loves going hiking and skiing and swimming in lakes with you (he's absolutely shit on skis, it's hilarious, but bless him he never stops trying. He's much better at ice skating, and he takes you on an ice skating date for each time you take him skiing, because then he gets to impress you and take you home to warm you up afterwards 😉). Fives is also prone to taking you to summer festivals with lots of live, local music and local beer and whiskey tastings. In short, your relationship with Fives is full of adventure, laughter, playful kisses, and nights in where you take turns picking movies to watch while cuddled under a blanket on the couch (I see Fives having a weakness for classic films, noir, campy sci-fi, and beautiful fantasy. There have been a lot of dramatic noir reenactments and (space) LoTR marathons.).

You were trying so hard not to laugh, but despite the fact that you had seen him fall flat on his ass hundreds of times now, it was still funny. Fives had never seemed to get the hang of skiing. Not fully, anyway. He was miles better than he was when you first took him. But days spent skiing with Fives were full of green slopes and wobbly knees and pizza skis. And he made it a point to come with you at least once every year, enjoying spending the day with you doing something you enjoyed, even if he wasn't the best at it. Fives was spread-eagle on the slope, skis splayed out awkwardly and poles dropped by his sides. He groaned dramatically, head falling back into the packed snow. "You good?" you said, humor coating your tone. Fives let loose another dramatic groan. "I think I need a nurse." Your mouth twitched as you suppressed a smile. He was fine. "Oh, that's a shame. The nurse is out of the office. Call back in five days when she gets back from vacationing with her boyfriend." "Boyfriend??" Fives played along, voice indignant. You giggled, but adopting a serious tone once more. "Yes, sir. Shall I leave a message for the nurse?" "Tell her to get her cute little ass over here and help me up. I want to make use of the hot tub on the balcony of our suite." Heat shot through you despite the cold, winter mountain air. "Fives!" He sat up, grinning shamelessly. His goatee had a sprinking of snow in it from when he'd fallen. "Sounds like the nurse is agreeable." You rolled your eyes. Shameless. He was absolutely shameless. "Come on, you. Get up. I want lunch before you drag me back to the hotel." Fives heaved himself up, pushing off the slope with his poles to stand. But he didn't make to follow you down the slope quite yet, instead just smiling at you. "Fives?" He pushed his goggles up, and his eyes were like shining amber in the winter sunlight. "You have no idea how beautiful you are, do you?" Your cheeks were already flushed from the cold air and rush of skiing, but you were sure you went bright red at the comment. "Fives!" "I'm serious!" He scooted closer to you, looking surprisingly balanced. He was always at his best when he was on a mission. And right now his mission was to admire how golden your hair was against the backdrop of snow. Your perfect curves, not hidden even by the bulky coat you wore. The sparkle of your smile and how everything about you just made him fall more and more in love every single day. You rolled your eyes again behind your own goggles, but smiled up at him. "Come on, you giant goof. Let's get lunch, and then I might just let you talk me off the mountain." Fives grinned: a grin that sent heat rushing through you like you were already in the hot tub. And with a whoop and cheeky wink, Fives was off. You followed him, your laughter echoing down the slope.

Just like with Fives for your ship request, I almost instantly thought of Echo as your best friend. You two were first introduced by Fives, him wanting his twin to know his partner. And you two hit it off, of course! You make Fives happy, so that was enough for Echo. And you had long wanted to meet the twin Fives had not-so-unwillingly dragged into so many shenanigans. Unlike Fives, who can somewhat cook but cannot bake to save his life, Echo expressed interest in baking after first tasting your chocolate-chip cookies and took to it instantly. You two love getting together for afternoons of baking and wine (sometimes more wine than baking). Echo has also been known to join you and Fives for some of your (space) LoTR marathons. And unlike Fives, Echo can ski very well and gives Fives endless shit about how he can't. Echo also loves visiting with you at cafes because lord knows neither of you can live without coffee. You two have a biweekly ritual of going on "best friend dates" (so coined by Fives, who "laments" that his brother is stealing his girl and his girl is stealing his brother) where you two browse the local farmer's markets for fresh produce, bread, and flowers. He likes to ask how work is going for you (you only worked 55 hours that week, it's fine, Echo), and you love hearing Echo's updates about the Batch, and the way he so perfectly reenacts Hunter's and Crosshair's cat fights (he swears Crosshair was actually going to pull out the claws this last time).

"Hey, let's stop a minute?" You and Echo both stopped, taking seats on some rocks lining the hiking trail. It was the end of spring, just edging into summer. One of your absolute favorite times to go hiking. The mornings when you started out were still cool enough to be pleasant, before it warmed up in the afternoon as you were coming down the mountain. Echo reached into his pack, drawing out one of his water bottles. You dropped your own pack at your feet, doing the same. The water was still cool and felt amazing as it slid down your throat. There was a light breeze going, ruffling your hair in its ponytail and making a mess of the flyaways that had become unruly with your workout. Sweat cooled against the back of your neck, and you reached into your pack to get some more sunscreen. "Here," you said, tossing the bottle Echo's way after squeezing a measure into your hand. Echo's skin tone was slowly, but surely, warming and darkening the more time that passed. While he was still much paler than he should've been, and lighter too, he was getting better. And these regular hikes of yours were helping him regain his strength and endurance. The hike you were on today was a mild one in terms of difficulty, but a longer one in terms of length. The hike didn't have a lot of steep inclines, or portions of the trail where you were practically bouldering. Instead, it was a winding, clear, comfortable trek through the forests towards a clear, grassy valley and lake. It was one of your favorites, and you and Echo had finally taken a day to do it. Echo had pushed his sunglasses up to his brow to reapply some sunscreen, but he smiled briefly when he saw you looking his way. "Something up?" he asked. "No, just enjoying the morning." He smiled wider. "Me too." Within a few more minutes, you two were off again. A few more miles and breaks later, the trees opened into a scene that was so gorgeous it could've been a painting. The splatterings of colorful wildflowers throughout the green grasses, the purple-toned, snow-capped mountains, the sky so blue it made the fluffy clouds look even fluffier, the glassy lake, so clear you could see the mosses and rocks and fish in its depths. Beside you, Echo felt his shoulders fall slack with wonder. This. This was something he was never going to take for granted again. He'd lost so much time while in stasis, and never imagined he would get a second chance. But now he had one. He had his twin. He had his brothers in the Batch. And he had his best friend. All that, on top of this gorgeous, impossible view, Echo was happy. "Last one to the lake is a rotten bantha!" "Hey!" And you took off running after your best friend, laughter filling the valley.

Okay, this one took me a bit longer to put together, because who in the fucking hell would dislike you?!?? But then I realized, that's okay, your rival actually does like you, and you two are in fact friends, however, neither of you will admit to it because you've been mean to each other for years now and that's how it's going to stay, dammit, because Anakin Skywalker is one of the most stubborn SOBs in the galaxy and you find the situation kind of hilarious. You are constantly thinking up new ways to give him crap and rile him up. But your rivalry does actually start through frustration with each other. You got stuck treating his injuries once and he was not only being a total baby about it but he was refusing to follow the post-op care regimen!!! It exists for a reason but nooooo, not for Mr. Chosen One! You are fully willing and capable of sedating his ass if it refuses to get its injuries looked at (whether you've had to or not is between you, Kix, and Coric). But you also frustrate Anakin because Jesus Christ he's fine, he doesn't need this, so what if he hasn't slept in three days and has a six-month old blaster wound that still hasn't healed properly and a freshly broken ankle, he can walk on it still, so it's fine! But no! You just won't leave him the fuck alone! Through it all though, you have to admire his sheer determination and bullheadedness. It's brought him this far (once again, Victory!AU). And he admires the way you don't back down and okay, maybe you actually know what you're talking about. Once the twins are born, you sit him down (a fair amount of alcohol has been consumed already between the two of you) and tell him that he's a dad now. He has a responsibility to look out for himself and make sure he's still around to care for those kids. Not even Padme and Obi-Wan had managed to get through to him in that regard like you did. But the following morning and a pair of hangovers later (neither of you are willing to admit that night happened), Anakin and you still gripe at each other, but it's far more playful and has less heat in it than normal. But Maker, he still fucking frustrates you. And Obi-Wan is no fucking better lol.

"Shit, what the fuck is that?" "I'm not sure, but it'll get us drunk, so what the fuck ever." You scowled dubiously at the bottle of dangerously clear alcohol. Knowing Anakin and his durasteel stomach, he'd have picked up straight ethanol and not have noticed until someone else told him. This was the guy who ate bugs afterall. But nevertheless, you took another glug. You still choked a bit, but the previous shot was already spiraling through your system, so it went down a little easier this time. "How're the twins?" you asked, cringing around the taste. "Already walking," Anakin groaned. "Maker, I can't keep track of them. How is it I faced down armies and barely broke a sweat but chasing two womp rats around tires me out?" "Welcome to fatherhood, my friend." Anakin's response was to tip back the bottle and take at least three gulps. "Padme's an angel, I swear. She makes it look so easy. Doesn't help that the twins actually seem to listen to her." "With your face? I wouldn't listen to you either." "Ha-ha." Anakin flopped back onto the couch in his and Padme's apartments. "Where are she and the kids, anyway?" "Padme's gone off to some spa retreat, and I conned Rex into taking the twins for the night." "Ass," you said, but you laughed a little, the alcohol already doing things to you. "Should've called Obi-Wan. You wouldn't have had to con him." "Where's the fun in just asking?" You shook your head with dramatic exasperation. Oh, Anakin. "Speaking of the kids, you and Fives ever gonna have a pair of mini-ARCs running around?" "You just want to be an uncle." "Yep." "That, my friend, is what we call Baby Fever. Usually followed by Lovey-Dovey-Bitch Syndrome, and they're both incurable." "Fantastic. I can add them to my collection of diagnoses and medical reports." "Idiot." The night devolved from there into a night of drunken laughter and stress-relief for you both. As well as a pair of hangovers when Rex came by and dropped the twins off the following morning, not a trace of sympathy for either you nor his former General on his face. "Dad! Dad!" "Auntie Aria!" You and Anakin resolved to spend the morning with raging headaches and the kids you both adored. And when it came time for you to head out, he ruffled your hair into a mess and laughed as you cursed at him out the door.

IzuOcha- The ending absolutely killed this ship for me. It was always bad, with respect to Deku's complete and utter lack of interest in this girl, but this MFer waited 8 YEARS to actually do anything about it. In addition to needing a push from BAKUGO of all people. I realize now why I stopped caring about Deku after the sports festival. The writing for this guy should have been on the wall. Ocha has an arc about learning to accept her feelings, fails to save the girl who taught her this lesson. And then simply does nothing about her feelings until Deku decides to make the first move. A true obligation/consolation prize hetero ship as to be expected in Shonen. MomoJirou- Inoffensive, baited in canon and official artworks. Not committed to, of course. The most I can say is that there's nothing wrong with it. Jiro is an immensely boring and superfluous character.

TogaChako- Slaps in an AU. When the cameras are off, Uraraka fakes Toga's death and helps her escape. Or, Uraraka made a deal with the failing government, that in exchange for the hero students risking their lives saving them from the mistakes the adults made (it will never not be hilarious that children stayed, fought, and were maimed while adult "heroes" stayed at home) they can get pardons for villains.

AUs where Toga's life took a different turn are also interesting. What if Toga was bought from her parents by the HPSC and became an agent like Hawks? What if Toga was abandoned by her parents and ended up with a better family? Let's say there's communities out there for people with socially unacceptable quirks. So she's left at the compound where the vampire bat, leech, tick, and flea mutants live and other people with "bad" quirks also gravitate there. This is not a universe in which she snaps and becomes a serial killer.

The canon ship is terrible, since it really is just Uraraka visiting Toga in prison until she's eventually executed by the government. But maybe not. Wouldn't it be something if Hawks was the one who arranged a stay of execution for Toga and eventually got her house arrest in Uraraka's custody? It's absolutely hilarious and I'd love to see Toga's reaction to this. But no, we can't have Uraraka succeed where Deku failed. Because Deku failed to save his villain, everyone else had to fail too. Can't have side characters outshining the MC, even though they do that all the time.

KiriBaku- Kirishima deserves better. He 100% is the one expending most of the effort and catering to Bakugo here. What does Bakugo give back to him? Where is the growth in this relationship? How does he challenge Bakugo? Their relationship is like that of a king and his advisor who can 50% of the time manipulate said king while making the king thing it's his idea in the first place, and the rest of the time he cleans up the king's messes.

KamiJirou- Automatically bottom of the barrel for me because Kaminari is just a great value brand Mineta who has a better quirk and is more attractive. Once you see it, you can't unsee it. I'd rank him as one of my least favorite Class A characters, and besides having a good design and a theoretically good power (not as he uses it, since the boy apparently never thought of bonking people with a copper pipe) has nothing else going for him.

Kaminari shouldn't exist and he and Mineta should have just been one character with Kaminari's face and quirk. Well, objectively, he and Mineta shouldn't exist because 20 "main" characters is too many, and a sex pest pervert is an anime trope that should have been left in 2005.

EraserMic- In fanfics? Sure, this can be cool. If we're talking canon characters, this is entirely a relationship that Mic maintains. I could see them getting divorced when Mic can't do it anymore. You know how there's all those Dadzawa fanfics where Eraserhead acts wildly out of character for no explained reason? Him blowing his relationship with Mic is the perfect catalyst for why Dadzawa exists.

EndHawks- These two deserve each other. A couple of author's pets who dodge consequences like Neo in The Matrix. If Hawks enters into a relationship with Enji while knowing his history, then he deserves whatever comes to him. He gets to enjoy his creepy parasocial relationship gone physical with a man who, when it came out that he bought a woman and abused his family, not a single person gave a fuck. Guess Hawks was really tore up about his dad getting arrested and decided to find a man similar to him.

DabiHawks- Only in AUs that give more nuance to Hawks' character or either allow Dabi to succeed or give him a different backstory. The majority of Dabi Hawks shippers live in a separate universe from the rest of us, for good reason. The idea of what these characters could be, before we learned about them is good. It's the potential of what they might have been when we didn't know all the details that's attractive here.

ShigaDabi- This is inoffensive. It just exists.

EraserMight- I like this for the simple fact that being strapped to All Might's chest and using his quirk on enemies All Might fights makes them an unbeatable duo. It's the most efficient use of Eraserhead's quirk and these two could wipe their universe together.

I don't like or care about canon Aizawa, and All Might is heavily hit or miss with me. The story fixated on cool moments towards the end and completely glosses over the fact that All Might planned to BLOW HIMSELF UP to kill All For One, thus showing he learned nothing. I want you to think about an AU where Bakugo and Deku watched All Might murder suicide All For One as All Might's last words are calling out his attack that shares Bakugo's hero name. Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight indeed!

IidaChako- It can have decent bones. I find Iida really boring as a character since the story never again delved into the fact that he planned a cold blooded murder and 100% Stain would be dead if Iida was more powerful. What kind of personality flaws have a guy who is obsessed with the rules snap like this? Is he just a self righteous hypocrite? Does he only believe in these rules because they hold HIM back and keep him from being the menace he knows he could be? Or are they all just lip service so he can feel like he's above people? Nope, he's just a generic good boy after that arc and then he becomes a taxi.

EraserNight- Why not? It's a really generic hetero ship, but they've known each other for years and for the small number of people who read vigilantes compared to those who consume the main series, Nerumi gets some development. What sours it for me is that Midnight died, and her two best friends discussed her death for one sentence, Aizawa changed the subject, and they never talked about her again. Instead choosing to fixate on Kurogiri, a guy they knew for FAR LESS TIME who has been dead longer than they knew him, while ignoring the friend and co-worker who was there for them. It really goes to show how few fucks the author gave about Midnight as a character. Her death was entirely because he invented a bunch of characters specifically to die in the war arc and then tossed in people like Crust and Native, who had very little character before this moment to be killed. But because he's allergic to anyone we might give the slightest of shits about dying, he had to kill SOMEONE the audience knows.

Hi there, I'm a really big fan of your metas and I appreciate the perspective you bring since you are a lot more focused on canon than most people I follow (I personally prefer the ~vibe of twilight over the execution so Im guilty of a lot of canon-divergent "what-if-ing" lol). I'm not sure if you've addressed this before but I was wondering: what draws you most to twilight? Is there anything you would want to change about the series? Ooh this is a fun ask. And thank you for your kind words!! For the record I too enjoy my what-ifs, too much in fact. Fanfic is a years-long addiction of mine.

As for what draws me to Twilight, I’ll just bullet point them.

The vampires Meyer’s vampires aren’t really vampires at all, they’re aliens who call themselves vampires. They’re absolutely fascinating creatures, terrifying and inhuman in a way so few authors manage to create true inhumanity. (I find so many supernatural creatures end up basically being gimmicks, enhanced humans at best. If you can’t tell your vampire apart from an MCU superhero, you’re doing it wrong.)

The worldbuilding There are many things I like about Meyer’s worldbuilding, one of them being her restraint. There are vampires, shapeshifters, and a one-off reference to the nearly extinct werewolves. That’s it. She created the creatures her story needed, and not one leprechaun more. And I like that for a lot of reasons, the big one being that it makes her creatures serve the story, rather than the other way around. Another major thing I like about her worldbuilding is that a lot of fantasy stories want to have their regular modern world the reader can recognize and eat the vampire cake too. You get these universes where the supernatural exists, only it’s secret and hasn’t impacted the world we know in any way because... reasons. The Vampire Diaries is a great example, we have vampires eat people with abandon yet their existence is a secret to the world at large. Why is that? Why, in a world where the supernatural is commonplace, does the world not look different? Twilight answers these questions.

The characters Meyer creates so many great characters. I have my favorites, of course, but I find nearly all the characters she created interesting. (Well, considering how so many of the characters we get to know in the Guide are hilarious, perhaps “entertaining” is a better word for it) More, while there are some characters that could have been cut (Esme and Emmett come to mind), on the whole most characters in the story have a reason to be in it. And that’s not a given at all, Harry Potter is a shining example of a cast where 90% could have been cut. (Example: remove the Crouch family from Goblet of Fire and have Pettigrew abduct Harry instead of Barty Crouch Jr.. The plot doesn’t change at all. The Crouch family has failed the sexy lamp test. So have almost all of Harry’s classmates.)

The unreliable narrator Caveat - I think all narrators are in some way unreliable. The difference is how much, and to how great a degree what’s actually happening shines through to the reader. And Twilight is a story where there’s stuff happening behind the scenes all the time, people Bella doesn’t understand doing things for reasons Bella doesn’t know about, and Bella never realizes any of it. This makes Twilight a lot of fun to engage with.

The loose threads I sort of get into this below, but there are so many loose threads in Twilight, which means endless fanfic material. Other fandoms, where I wouldn’t change a thing, end up being fandoms I don’t write anything for either. (See Prometheus - loved it, never writing fic for it) Why change perfection? Twilight, on the other hand, I get ideas faster than I can write them.

As for what I’d change...

I’m happy with the story. It’s not quite the story I would have written, off the top of my head I would have gone a different direction with Victoria and had her successfully kidnap Bella in New Moon, only to find that killing this human when Edward clearly doesn’t care would be no revenge at all, and that this human is really all she’s got left at this point. (See? I do like my what-ifs!). 

Alternatively, if I was writing the story that occurs in Twilight, then I would have chosen Carlisle’s point of view and it would have been Othello with vampires, featuring Aro as Desdemona. I mean, that already is the story, it’s just that Bella’s narration is so oblivious she never realizes.

This is not to say I wouldn’t have done a lot of things very differently if I were writing Twilight. Jasper, for instance, I would not have him drop “fun fact, I fought for the right to own slaves!” mid-conversation and then never bring it up again. And bigger things, such as I would have cut Jacob and the wolves entirely (And now we’re back to “Victoria kidnaps Bella and the story turns into femmeslash”. I end up with weird ships in Twilight, and the thing is that I see no way around them. How do you people who ship the canon pairs do it?! Tell me your secrets!).

Point being, I would have changed a lot of things. Breaking up the Cullens is another big one, that coven is unsustainable and I'm like a Persian warrior because all I wanna do is watch these Olympics fall.

And there’s one thing I’d change unequivocally, the first thing I’d change, the thing I would pull into a dark alley and stab, and that’s the imprinting. It’s a life-ruiner for everybody involved, it plays into this nasty theme of the shapeshifters losing their free will, and it doesn’t even serve the story to make up for it. Jacob and the Quileutes had no need to be in the story in Breaking Dawn, the Cullens could have left town (and were going to) and that would have been it. So, I would cut the imprinting. With a knife.

This is not to say I don’t like what Meyer did, though. I agree with the decisions the characters make, big and small, at no point in the series do I go “X wouldn’t do that, that’s OOC!”. I even like the plot of Breaking Dawn. Everything that happens in the story makes sense to me. I do, sincerely, enjoy Twilight. It’s just- well, it’s not how I would have told this story.

Oh, and of course - the use of a real minority the way Meyer did was egregious and she should never have done it. More, I was shocked and disappointed to learn the Quileute tribe didn’t profit from this. You would think they would have been involved in merch for Twilight - this could have become a huge source of income for them - but nope. Others have spoken far more eloquently than me on this matter and have said everything I could, so I’ll just note that no fictional series should use (there’s really no other word for it) a real and oppressed minority the way Twilight did. The fact that the Quileute tribe didn’t even get to see any of that Twilight money is just salt in the wound.

Throughout much of my life I've been known as that one "sweet" and "innocent" friend. But in my humble opinion everyone has a dark side. My dark side happens to reside in dark cartoons. Invader Zim, and anything that Viv makes. Helluva Boss took me almost completely by surprise. In fact, in some ways I prefer it to Hazbin Hotel. I love the bonds and relationships between the character and I'm going to be talking about one character in particular, Blitz.

When I first started this show last year after the first episode came out, I almost immediately loved Blitz. He was interesting, but most of all he was funny. Probably the funniest character on the show if you're asking me (I still do his "got the book, got the book, got this fucking heavy book" sometimes because I was laughing so hard I cried.) He also had this protective edge to him. He cared about his workers a lot more than he let on and we got confirmation of that today. He so clearly would do anything for the three people that matter more to him than anybody else.

The major strength in this show is Blitz's relationship with everyone and with himself. From his relationship with Stoliz finally getting some nonsexual development, to his adorable father/daughter relationship with his hellhound Luna, to his individual bond with Moxxie and Millie. Before today's episode I thought that he was overly cruel to Moxxie for really no sensible reason. I knew that there was some deeper hidden issues to why he acted that way because it's Blitz there's always deeper issues. Even though their interactions before this episode were genuinely hilarious I couldn't help but look at their relationship differently after all this episode entailed. Blitz is the protective dad that is always looking out for both his subordinates and his daughter. He also clearly cares about Stolas more than he lets on. That's another thing that I loved about the character development done with this episode (we'll talk more about Stolitz later on).

When you really think about it, everyone in Blitz's life has either let him down or left him at some point. This obviously left him mentally and emotionally scarred in more ways than one. He decided eventually that he should use his smart mouth to push everyone away from him. That way he could never get hurt again. That's actually one of my favorite character tropes other than the goofballs. And Blitz is a goofball but he's also foulmouthed, guarded, a little bit more than a bigoted asshole but it's not without reason. If we get to learn more about how Blitz's life really started. There was so many good character moments in this episode for him and I think that it really helped move his arc forward.

My favorite relationship thus far after this episode has to be Blitz's relationship with Moxxie. I'm so looking forward to where this friendship goes. Obviously they are both musical theater geeks who have that part of their lives in common but I think that after this episode they'll be so much closer. (Can I just talk about theater both of them pls that would be so fun! Just to compare notes about favorite shows. I have the same opinion about Cats Blitz btw highly overrated show.) But my second favorite has to be his relationship with Millie. Their relationship is just so cute and funny how he's always knowing exactly what she needs and offering her water in the middle of the battle and guns when she's using that halberd scythe style weapon. I love looking at the platonic relationships for Blitz because in my opinion they are just as important if not more so important than the main relationships. This entire show is about the element of family. Family can come in every shape and size and that's something that I love about this show. It's not just about a murdering group of imps that are killing people and swearing every five minutes. It's about a group of characters that love and rely on each other for various reasons. It's about the elements of family even if it's broken and bruised that is still your family.

The relationship between Stolas and Blitz to me was a bit of an anomaly before today. I thought that they were funny together but that it wasn't exactly consensual. That was until today's episode. Watching the one that came out today, I found that I was taking a different stance on their relationship. When Stolas came to rescue his Blitzy (never piss off Stolas okay that's just a warning because that shit was terrifying), for the first time I saw a relationship that was consensual on both ends. We saw Blitz actually flirt with the owl prince and it was hilarious to see Stolas go from most terrifying thing in all existence into absolute sub for his lover. I'm looking forward to seeing where this relationship is going because I'm a huge fan of both characters.

Helluva Boss is one of those cartoons that has changed my life over the last year. It's a show that never fails to make me laugh so hard that my sides are aching. My parents are always like what are you laughing at every time that there's a new episode. It's just such a ridiculous show but at the same time my heart broke seeing Blitz in pain. I know that we're going to to definitely see him suffer a lot more since he's going to be the angst development for the show. I'm dreading it but at the same time I'm looking forward to seeing it at the same time. I hope that Blitz does eventually get his happy ending with Stolas and the rest of his found family.
