- I love Piper, I know most people think any other character is more interesting than her, but she's so chaotic and cute and kind. Also, I might be in love with Taylor Schilling who knows

- I like Alex a lot, the first time I didn't care for her, I like her with Piper, but she was pretty bland to me, but I appreciate her more after the rewatch

The way Red ended makes me furious.

Dogget ending was unfair. She was actually improving in prison

Also Taystee not getting justice is insane, but tbh I didn't care much for Taystee in season 7. She's one of my favorite characters but they dragged the "Will she kill herself?" For too long. I'm so happy that she didn't and actually found a way to honor Poussey

- I loved to see the other inmates one last time.

- I like season 5. I've seen a lot of people saying this season is too slow, but it has so many funny moments and a lot of Piper and Alex together, so fine by me

- I can't believe Taylor Schilling, Kate Mulgrew, or Danielle Brooks didn't win any awards for the show.

- Also, the actress who played Cindy elevated her character so much in the last two seasons. I actually cared for her at the end.

I'd love to see domestic Piper and Alex. Flashforward 3years in the future, Alex is out, and they're living their best life.

- I'm so happy Mendoza got a happy ending. My prison mami deserved it so much, she never wanted trouble, she just wanted to go back to her kids.

Also, Blanca getting a happy ending? I didn't expect that, but I'm so happy for her.

And this is the best cast ever. It didn't matter how they paired them it was always fun. Red and Blanca? Who would have thought they were gonna be great together? Also, Suzanne and Dogget, Cindy and Flaca, Mendoza and Luschek. They paired Piper with everyone else; all of them were amazing.

“Negative,” Y/N sighs sadly as she rejoins Harry in their bedroom. She drops the used pregnancy test in the garbage can before collapsing onto their bed.

Harry frowns and moves so he’s laying next to Y/N and wraps an arm around her middle, pulling her to his chest tightly. “It’s okay, sweetheart. We knew it wouldn’t happen first try. It’ll happen when the time is right, yeah?”

“But this wasn’t the first try,” Y/N responds quietly. “Five months and five negative pregnancy tests. I thought now was the right time, but I guess not.”

Deciding when to have a baby was not an easy decision for Harry and Y/N. Both of their careers have been thriving, and they were both torn on whether they were ready to slow them down to have a family. But every time a baby so much as looked at Y/N when they were out in public her heart would melt and her chest would start to yearn for her own little bundle of joy to coo at. And whenever Harry stopped by Hogwarts to give a guest lecture or visit Hagrid he couldn’t help but wonder what it’ll feel like when he gets to send his own kids off to school. Spending the holidays with the Weasleys surrounded by Bill’s and Percy’s kids only solidified what Y/N and Harry felt in their hearts: they were ready to start their family. They decided to start trying in the new year, and now with it nearly halfway gone, they’re no closer to beginning parents then they were at the start.

Harry starts to rub Y/N’s back in slow strokes, leaning down to kiss her on the forehead. “I know it’s gotta be discouraging, sweetheart. All the negatives. But half the fun of starting a family is making the baby, isn’t it?” he jokes, hoping to make Y/N smile. The corners of her mouth twitch faintly, and Harry leans down to hiss her softly. “So, we’ll just keep trying and before you know it we’ll be swimming in baby clothes and diapers. Just you wait and see.”

“I know, I know,” Y/N sniffles as tears suddenly start to flow down her cheeks. “It’s just so discouraging, seeing that stupid negative each time. Like we’re not supposed to have a baby or something.”

“Y/N,” Harry coos, holding her tightly as she sobs. “Everything will be okay. We just gotta trust the process.” Harry starts to rub her back harder, slowly rocking them on their bed, desperately trying to make his wife feel better.

“You take the test?” Harry asks excitedly as he joins Y/N in bed. In their efforts to start a family Y/N has started tracking her cycle more closely and taking fertility tests to determine when it’s at its highest and giving them the best chance at conceiving. They’ve been trying for seven months now, and Harry has gotten pretty good at remembering when the different parts of her cycle occur.

“No,” Y/N says flatly, not even bothering to look up at Harry from her book.

It had only Y/N two more months of trying and two more negative pregnancy tests after her breakdown for her to get completely discouraged. Her and Harry have an unlimited amount of yearning for a baby and an equal amount of love to give a baby, but clearly the universe doesn’t think they’re ready, or deserving of one. It doesn’t help that it seems everywhere she goes is filled with pregnant women and babies. Three of her coworkers announce they’re expecting in the same week, and when Y/N stops at the market on the way home she’s stuck in the checkout line with a baby on either side of her. It’s as if the universe is laughing at her, and it’s starting to make Y/N think that having a baby just isn’t in the cards for her and Harry.

Harry’s eyebrows furrow as he slips under the covers next to Y/N. “You got your period already? It’s like what, 10 days early?”

Y/N rolls her eyes, of course Harry would know that. “No, I just don’t feel like doing anything tonight is all. No matter what those stupid fertility tests say.”

“Sweetheart,” Harry starts, reaching out to grab her hip. When Y/N scoots away from his touch he frowns. “I know it’s been hard on you, all the negative tests. But we just gotta keep trying, yeah? We’ll get there eventually and that’s what matters.”

“I’m just not in the mood tonight, Harry,” Y/N says firmly, finally looking away from her book so she can look Harry in the eyes. “It feels like we’ve been having sex nonstop since January I just want one night to myself. Is that alright with you?”

“Marriage isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, eh?” Ron jokes, prompting Hermione to smack him on the arm. “I was only trying to make him laugh ‘mione, no need to turn this into a domestic,” Ron grumbles, rubbing the spot Hermione hit.

Hermione rolls her eyes fondly and reaches over to grab Ron’s hand, giving it a tight squeeze. “What’s going on, Harry? Did you two get into a fight or something?”

“Not exactly. We’ve been trying to a baby since the start of the year and things just aren’t working and-.”

Hermione holds her hand up to cut Harry off. “I’m sorry, what? You’ve been trying for a baby and haven’t told us? We’re your best friends, Harry.”

Harry’s cheeks flush pink. “We haven’t told anyone, Hermione. That way when we announced it everyone would be more surprised, and it’d be more special. But it’s been 7 months, and nothing has happened yet, and Y/N is getting, I dunno, depressed maybe? We didn’t try at all last month and she barely even lets me touch her anymore.”

Hermione frowns. “I’m sorry, Harry. I can’t even imagine what you and Y/N must be going through. Have you tried talking to her about it?”

“I don’t even really know what to say,” Harry admits honestly. “I feel like I’d end up saying something stupid and end up making things worse.”

“Then do something to make her feel special. Let her know that you’re thinking about her and that you’ll be there when she’s ready to talk,” Hermione explains softly. “Help take some of the pressure I’m sure she’s feeling off of her shoulders. Reconnect naturally, take things slow. Let her know there’s no rush to have a baby. That it’ll happen when it happens and that’s alright with you.”

Tom Hardy Movies rated least to most queer

I made a list of some Tom Hardy movies and I rated them based on my own, non-specific criteria about what makes a movie queer. Results below the cut.

(Some films not included, because I haven’t watched them yet, because Mr Hardy’s only in them for a few minutes, because the subject matter doesn’t lend itself to this list, or because I just don’t want’em here. TV series also not included. The list is organised into both groups and ratings, because I’m doing The Most.)

Movies are divided into four groups and rated from 0 – 10 on the Queer-Scale, scroll down to the bottom if you want the ratings without the commentary.

Disclaimer: This list is subjective. Don’t come at me because I didn’t rate Inception higher, Nolan himself is as queer as cargo shorts. 

1. This movie would make more sense if it were queer

If this movie were queer it… might not become a perfect film all of a sudden, but it’d make a hell of a lot more sense than what’s actually going on. With an occasional dose of “are the cis-straights okay?”

This Means War (2012): So Chris Pine and Tom Hardy are ostensibly both in love with Reese Witherspoon, but say “I love you” to each other pretty much constantly throughout the movie and their friendship is often presented as a domestic partnership. Cool, cool, cooool.

Queer Rating: 2 out of 10. This movie hate-crimed me by having Tom Hardy literally spell out his relationship with Chris Pine, only for the script to then have him say… “can you imagine all that… but with a woman…” Later on the movie explicitly denies polyamory is possible. Fuck this film.

The Dark Knight Rises (2012): Batman movies should always be queer. Mr. Hardy’s the only one who acceptably camps it up, despite Nolan’s best attempts to make him “acceptably gruff.” No matter what you do, Bane is a massive daddy in a mask and thanks to Mr Hardy’s honestly iconic fucking speech pattern in this film, it goes from pretty atrociously straight to just queer enough to imagine a future where Robert Pattinson plays batman and maybe adopts a bunch of kids.

Queer Rating: 3 out of 10. Mr Hardy’s back is the one that’s actually broken carrying any semblance of fun in this overly long movie all on his own.

Lawless (2012): Wow, this really was the year of the not-queer-enough, wasn’t it? Look, it’s “based on a real story,” but it’s also a movie and movies don’t need to stick to the truth, and this one certainly doesn’t. Was the guy queer in real life? I don’t know. But that doesn’t matter, what matters is that it’s just kind of an eh movie and maybe being queer would add something to it. One of those “but why make someone queer? because it’s always more interesting to do so,” movies.

Queer Rating: 3 out of 10. It’s just not queer. But Tom Hardy wears cardigans and described his character as a “mother figure,” which adds an interesting dynamic to him.

2. Actually Queer but in a homophobic way

Tom Hardy plays a canonically queer character, yaaay. The whole movie contains a strange sense of the director being too not-queer to actually engage with that and everything around him is almost aggressively straight, noooo.

RocknRolla (2008): Honestly this movie has the funniest coming out scene ever + that familiar undertone of “all these manly men secretly want to fuck each other” is only heightened by one of them actually being gay and in love with his best friend. It’s such a fucking… it’s such a movie. Personally I find Mark Strong, Idris Elba, Thandie Newton, and, of course, Tom Hardy to be really hot in it, so that’s a plus. There’s a scene in which Strong’s character teaches another gangster how to do a proper backhand. It’s really gay of him. Also slow-dancing at a gay club. Butler’s character needs to get himself together, you really don’t think 2008 Tom Hardy is hot? Mate.

Queer Rating: 6 out of 10, for having an actual gay character who is played by Tom Hardy doing a sexy phonecall voice to another guy, but then there’s that feeling you can’t shake that the whole movie is vaguely uncomfortable about it, like a family member awkwardly patting you on the shoulder after they found out you were queer second-hand, but they’ve still got 50 years of bias to unlearn. Also Thandie Newton is killed, fuck that noise. 

Legend (2015): If I had a nickle for the amount of times Tom Hardy’s played a gay gangster, I’d have two nickles. Which isn’t a lot, but weird that it happened twice (looks at Peaky Blinders and thinks it ought to be three times). I’ve watched Legend three times and every time it just… loses me. And because this is a biased list, I’ll only specifically mention that it fails to make Ron’s queerness anything but a way for him to shock others. Gangsters could be gay? Gasp! On the upside Tom Hardy has so much sexual tension with everyone in this movie, including himself (why would you do that? Asks Ron, bemused. Because I can’t kill you, no matter how much I fucking want to, hisses a blood-soaked Reggie right into his ear. It’s hot).

Queer rating: 5 out of 10 because the film is just not very queer for a movie with several queer men in it.

3. Straight as a forced family dinner

It’s straight.

Locke (2013): He’s a married man who had an affair and trying to deal with the fallout of it. This isn’t a spoiler for most of the movie, it’s a pretty neat movie where we look at Tom Hardy having a bit of a mental breakdown and taking lots of phonecalls (my personal hell). Is it queer? Not in the slightest.

Queer Rating: 2 out of 10 for Hardy’s face being in almost every shot.

The Revenant (2015): Yeah, yeah, DeCaprio’s and Hardy’s characters are obsessed with each other, yeah it’s a man’s world where the only women are dead wife, kidnapped sexually assaulted native princess, or background whore, yeah, they fight each other and there’s a ton of grunting, but also… I just fucking don’t like this movie. The thin line where a storyline like this one becomes queer might be crossed for others, but not for me. Fuck these guys and their stupid  bear fights.

Queer rating: 3 out of 10 for it being about dirty men in the middle of nowhere (but you could just watch Brokeback Mountain or The Lighthouse or God’s Own Country or any Mad Max, or, or, or…)

4. Queer? Queer. Queer? … Queer…

The plots, aesthetics and/or characters played by Tom Hardy lend themselves to a queer reading, even if there is no overt intention towards queerness. Often this is because of a deliberate lack of heterosexual and/or cisgender writing, which in this day and age is still pretty uncommon not to include within a plot.

Inception (2010): Okay, I don’t even need to write about the added “darling,” or the “go to sleep Mr Eames.” I don’t need to go on about the absolutely bonkers amount of fanfiction written for Eames and Arthur, based on a few minutes of film and a boatload of chemistry. It’s queer.

Queer Rating: 7 out of 10, because the actual plot of the film isn’t very queer, but between the Arthur/Eames dynamic and Elliot Page, Nolan was really given a gift he didn’t deserve.

Warrior (2011): Okay, so first off, this might be my favourite Tom Hardy film, at least some part of my brain is fixated on it at almost all times and I’m considering watching it for the third time in two weeks. I don’t only consider it queer based on Mr. Hardy’s character, although he has no romantic or sexual interest and could be read as aroace, but because of the themes, especially those surrounding said character, who is coded as a caregiver to women and through close emotional connections to men. It’s got possibly unintentional deconstructions of masculinity and two men (brothers) who need to forgive each other and can only do so through the catharsis of violence. It speaks to me as a transmasc with several cis brothers, struggling with my own masculinity. It’s not at all written for me, but I find myself all over it. I could talk about this movie forever.

Queer Rating: 8 out of 10. I’m not allowed to say any more or I’ll never stop writing about it. I love you Tommy…

The Drop (2014): Bob’s lack of sexual and/or romantic interest in Naomi is so strange to her that she doesn’t know what he would want from her otherwise. Bob really just wants to raise a dog with her (and also forgiveness for past sins). Bob is such a rare ace and possibly aro coded character, it really throws me every time I watch this film how obvious it is. Bonus points for also being autistic-coded and not in the stereotypical ways.

(Tom Hardy’s most challenging role: pretending he doesn’t know dogs)

Queer Rating: 9 out of 10 because it’s so fucking rare to see ace and aro coded characters that aren’t, you know…. serial killers. Also Tom Hardy adopts a puppy and has a very cute, kinda lispy voice. How often does Tom Hardy play softer men like this?

Mad Max: Fury Road (2015): Very deliberately no sexual or romantic writing included in Max’s and Furiosa’s relationship. Sure, there’s not a lot of time for that in the post-apocalyptic wasteland, but it was also done with a purpose! “It was always going to be two warriors on par, starting off with very little respect for each other and ending up with a massive respect for each other.” - Charlize Theron. “So of course they meet, of course there’s a relationship, an unspoken understanding. A recognition.” - Tom Hardy.

Queer Rating: 9 out of 10. It’s not just the characters, but the world and it’s apocalyptic BDSM leather scene, the questions it asks about sustainability and about people as tools, and the found family. It’s about overcoming violence through multiple kinds of love. And it’s about watching a guy playing flame-thrower guitar. What could be queerer?

Venom (2018): Talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same… No, but Eddie is queer. The only question is whether the sequel will acknowledge that aspect or not, but even if not. Even if it manages to straightly bypass the reality of a symbiotic relationship with a genderless? genderfluid? being from another world that is linked to you down to your very cells and understands you more intimately than any other person possibly could… even if all that: Eddie is queer. Venom and Eddie are in a relationship. Any relationship Eddie ever enters into will automatically become a thrupple. He makes out with Venom in the movie! Eddie is queer.

Queer Rating: 9.5 out of 10, because it’s still coded by the creators in the language of bromance (hey, bro, is it gay if we’re physically and emotionally closer than any other people on earth?), but the movie is so, so camp and Mr Hardy’s acting choices are beautiful – the screaming? The lispy soft voice and lack of taking up space? The lobster tank? The only people who don’t know how queer this is are the people making it apparently. Fingers crossed for that sequel!

Hon. mentions:

Star Trek: Nemesis (2002): Star Trek – even at it’s worst (especially at its worst?) – is camp af + Hardy is a straight-up baby in this film.

Bronson (2008): It’s about a real person who’s still alive, so I won’t comment on the actual man. However the film seems to code the character Bronson along an ace line and also has genderqueering Vaudeville. Someone let Tom Hardy do more of whatever was going on in those stage-bits.

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (2011): Another ensemble piece not massively about Hardy’s character, but it’s a movie that centers around queerness in a strange, depressing way. Tom Hardy’s character isn’t queer. Colin Firth and Mark Strong are though. The book makes me cry.

Peaky Blinders (2013-): Because it’s a TV series I left it out. There’s a lot of straight nonsense going on there, but Alfie Solomens is gay. There’s nothing in the series that disputes that and plenty that lends itself to the reading.

Dunkirk (2017): Tom Hardy plays an RAF pilot in a deep emotional connection with the other main RAF pilot. That’s immediately gay. However he’s not in the movie much because of the way it’s constructed, so I left it off.

Mad Max: Fury Road: 9 out of 10 - non-romantic love in the time of BDSM post-apocalyptic wastelands is something that can actually be so personal

The cabin headcanons

(yes the cabin has its own subtitle)

Cassian takes Nesta to the cabin after their mating bond ceremony and then happens chapter 55 but Nesta adapted. There’s no soup but a biscuit.

When Nyx is a little older he starts participating in the snowball fight. Rhys, Cassian and Az let him win.

In one of her visits, Feyre paints her sisters and Nyx’s eyes beside the IC ones, because they are now part of the Court of Dreams (this one made me cry a little honestly)

Whenever one of the IC’s couples wants to take a break they go to the cabin. Sometimes Az goes too to play chaperone. Spoiler: it doesn’t work (especially NOT with Nessian) (this one made me laugh)

Nesta likes the cabin’s vibes to read, so she goes often. Sometimes Cassian joins her but he bores to death so he wouldn’t let her read (if you get what i mean)

I can imagine the IC visiting it, long nights bonding in front of a fire and playing board games. Rhys, Nesta and Azriel are so competitive that stay awake til one of them wins. (actually Rhys and Azriel competitive spirit over board games is canon) (i just imagine Nesta playing the courtier to win) (then she loses and is cranky for a day). Meanwhile, Mor and Cassian drink themselves silly, and Feyre and Elain play with Nyx. Amren just purrs sitting in Varian’s lap. (Amren as the house cat)

The girls decide to do their own snowball fight honestly i don’t know why this is not canon yet. One year they decide to do girls vs. boys. The girls win and the boys don’t want to play against them again.

Nyx and his cousins learning to fly in a summer vacation there. (yeah because nessian’s children are happening in the future and they are in some of my headcanons sorry)

Nesta, Gwyn and Emerie go there sometimes (not so often because they prefer staying with the House please never forget they are all friends) and go hiking.

When Nyx and Nessian’s children are older and misbehave their parents send them to the cabin. Then whoever of them didn’t got to be grounded slips alcohol to the ones inside. (Actually i can see them doing this??? Rhys and Mor did the same. Also I can see Nyx and his cousins having a relationship similar to Rhys and Mor’s and Aelin and Aedion’s)

Inner Circle couples and the sauna. Not gonna say anything else, but just know it’s hella weird there’re no scenes in there...

The House of Wind headcanons

(big house deserved its own headcanons)

Nesta installs a dance studio in there and whenever she can she goes and dance for hours.

Nesta, Gwyn, Emerie and the House start a monthly sleep-over in the private library. The House always conjures the miniature pegasus without being asked.

Can we talk about the fact that in the future the House of Wind will have a nursery???? because i have to talk about it. don’t know if i’ll be able to do so without crying but just- nessian’s babies nation

When Nessian’s children are born the House would conjure anything just to please them and will protect them at all costs. The House as a babysitter and mother-hen.

The House starts talking to Cassian and recommends him smut books. He reads them and find them pretty interesting. He also recommends the House books but as they are of warfare the House finds them boring.

When Cassian and Nesta fight the House would be angry with Cassian for some days and would serve his food cold.

The House of Wind is Nyx’s favorite place in the city. Cassian and Nesta even give him a room when he is older. He loves it for the same reason Rhys did: flying. He also likes asking the House ridiculous things -the House loves his petitions-

Azriel keeps his room of course, but playing the chaperone is useless now (it always was)

Mor befriends the house and together they plan jokes to Cassian.

Feyre loves going to the House because it reminds her that her sister is happy and will never be alone.

Nessian headcanons

(of course there are nessian’s headcanons)

While sleeping, Cassian is very restless while Nesta sleeps in a ball, but they make it work. Also, Cassian takes all the blankets so Nesta ends up beside him and his wings.

The two of them loves sleeping in. Cassian would never admit it because he would never hear the end of it from the ic. (i know he said in acomaf that daylight is precious but now that he has found his mate he has change a liiitle his opinion about that. like now wake up beside his love is more precious than anything!!!!!)

I think it’s not fair we didn’t got a smut scene in the bathtub.

And in Windhaven.

When Nesta has a nightmare, Cassian would hug her and comfort her while remind her it was a dream, and now she got out, and is loved and cherished by a lot of people.

Nesta loves that Cassian strokes her head, more when her hair is down. (i really like that nesta prefers updo hairstyles tho)

Nesta is still a little uncomfortable to venture into Velaris so she asks Cassian to fly her over the city whenever she needs to go out and doesnt want to tangle in the multitude.

Every Starfall, Nesta would take the stairs down and up just to remind herself the way up is long but by the end she would find happiness.

She is really protective over the House. She wouldn’t let anyone spill anything or mess around.

She starts taking dancing lessons again, even though she doesn’t need them. It’s her favorite part of the week. I can imagine Gwyn joining her. Emerie prefers watching them and smirk while drinking tea.

She visits her father’s tomb more than her sisters, and tells him every aspect of her life because she didn’t do it when he was alive.

She doesn’t like the Court of Nightmares, but the Winter Solstice ball in there is one of her favorites events of the year.

She goes back to being a courtier/emmisary for the Night Court and loves tormenting the people she has to deal with. (just imagine Nesta in Vallahan, they would sign the treaty in a second)

She continues working in the Library because she is still healing and the Library is such a big part of that. She continues fighting with Merrill too (gwyn is please of that)

Also she starts practicing with Amren to use her powers, even if there is not a lot to master (tho i think she is still very powerful but let’s wait for the next book to confirm this)

ALSO Nesta as a mother: she gives her children a lot of love because she remembers how it is to have a cold mother and doesn’t want to repeat the story.

Nessian’s children headcanon

(tho i imagine they have at least a daughter so she is gonna appear a lot in my hc sorry)

I can imagine them having an unexpected pregnancy idk why they would be very happy tho (like chaolene’s) (not so soon after acosf, they would enjoy some free-of-babies-years)

Nessian’s baby would sleep between them. Cassian loves that and even though Nesta says the contrary, privately she loves it too.

Also Nesta reading her daughter to bed and then getting asleep. Cassian would find the two of them sleeping and would cover them with a quilt.

Their daughter loves to hear the stories about Nessian’s Blood Rites, and would ask everyone about them.

She also wants to hear the stories of her uncles and aunts even though some are sad, because she knows they are happy and together now.

I can see Nessian wanting another baby tbh but let’s stop in one until Sarah shows us the contrary.

But just imagine Nessian’s children + Nyx playing hide-and-seek on the House of the Wind and the House helping them hide.

Nessian’s daugther loves hearing Gwyn sing, and is particularly obsessed with Emerie because she sees herself in Emerie (like they are both Illyrians i’m crying nessian’s daughter doesnt understand why her aunt can’t fly).

K iss - He’s a good kisser, he gives slow and sensual kisses, or just kiss his s/o’s face all over because they’re so cute. His and s/o’s first kiss was when the two of you were playing the pocky game, and s/o just went for it. 

L ove Confession - He’d confess in person while you two were more acquainted with each other and comfortable, and it’d be on a date to your favorite place.

M arriage - He would like to be married. He’d wait a while until he proposed, and he’d make sure that you wanted to be proposed to, so yeah, it’s a surprise, but it’s one that you’ve been wanting. He’d do a classical proposal while the two of you were on a romantic date. Marriage would be domestic bliss. Like, the two of you are equals and share the chores and bills and it’s a really healthy relationship that everybody deserves.

O n Cloud Nine - He’s always happy, but now he’s happy and seems to be out of focus as little hearts flutter around him. Like Eijiro is low-key worried that he turned into a zombie. Dadzawa and Hawks pick up on it rather quickly, and it’s painfully obvious that he’s in love. He shows extra affection towards crush or s/o, offering them food, lifts, spending more time with them and is extra sweet and goofy. 

P DA - Oh hon, he likes to squeeze you in a warm hug or kiss you loudly on the mouth in front of everybody. You’re his, now, and he’s happy to show it. He does like to brag a little, and show you off to whomever. He’s not into making out or long displays, though.

Q uirk- He can make his s/o smile, no matter how bad a mood they are in. He just...radiates sunshine and in an instant, you’ll feel at ease around him.

R omance - He’s super romantic. Like, he likes to be classical and do classy things, such as open doors for his s/o or kiss their hands and it’s super cute. He’ll try to be a little creative in the gifts, like he knows that food is a given, and so he’ll try to hand-make them something or get them something unique, just to think a little outside of the box.

S upport - He supports and believes in his s/o without a doubt. Like, it wouldn’t be him at all if he wasn’t supportive.

T hrill - He’s not too much on thrills, but he does try different things and think outside the box. He might just drag his s/o in the pouring rain one day and dance with them as he sings “raindrops keep fallin’ on my head”, just to give them a nice surprise. 

U nderstanding - He’s pretty open to his partner, and they’re the same. He’s super empathetic and he listens and cares about them fully.

V alue - His relationship comes only second to his job. He’s a hero and saves people, and his s/o might be worried, but they have to understand. Other than that, he loves his s/o more than food, probably.

W ild Card - He looooves it when s/o runs their fingers through his hair as the two of them are snuggled up together on the couch watching silly rom-coms.

X OXO - Highly affectionate! He’ll cuddle and smooch his s/o anytime and almost anywhere. Like, he’s the living definition of a teddy bear. So sweet.

Y earning -  He doesn’t like it when he or his s/o are separated. Like it’s been thirty seconds he already misses them pls come home, soon. If it’s a week, he’s already stress eating and worries about them. 

Z eal - He’s willing to go the extra mile for the relationship. Even if his s/o gets in trouble with villains, he fights them, anyway, and he’d still be with s/o no matter what threats come their way.

What are you thoughts about the speed on the story this season? It feels a little slow to me (Also, I hope you're doing okay with all the shit being thrown your way. You dont deserve this harassment)

I’m fine.

I don’t actually agree with the slow thing. I mean the first couple episodes are usually about set up right? 

I mean, we got the domestic delinquents, and I thought that was FABULOUS I loved it. A PICNIC? Beautiful. Sitting around the table talking about feelings? Aren’t people always asking for this?

But then it immediately went into problems in sanctum, factions tearing it apart, evil shedheda returns, Clarke going bonkers and burning the palace down. Not to mention the whole OMG BELLAMY’S been kidnapped. OMG Hope and all her clues. OMG Echo Gabriel and Hope get attacked by invisible soldiers and dive into the anomaly!!! That’s just episode 1.

meanwhile episode 2 covered TWENTY YEARS. Ten years of Octavia’s life and family with Diyoza and Hope, her desperation to get to Bellamy. We finally get to see Octavia be SORRY for what she did to Bellamy and value him and understand him. Isn’t that what we wanted? Like they gave it the attention. And then we also had Echo, Gabriel and Hope back on Sky Ring and we learn all sorts of stuff about the prison and time dilation and leaders and disciples and BECCA and that was A LOT of information in a short time that they showed us rather than told us with dry explication. 

Now we’re on ep 1 and we get one day. This is day two. Ep 1 was day 1. Sheidheda is plotting with the sanctumites, Hot and romantic Memori which is lovely, we LIKE to see ships be intimate and domestic right? Raven taking charge. Someone listening to Clarke for once and not blaming but understanding her and giving her a chance to have a moment of understanding, getting to grieve. We want this don’t we? And then Gaia goes and outs Madi as just beign a kid and dumbass wonkru falls apart again because they can’t stay together without freaking blood and threats. Same old same old. Meanwhile there’s a nuclear meltdown immanent. And the only way to stop it is to send Memori in to fix it, and get some volunteers to weld the pipe. Only the unrest has lost wonkru as a support team so Raven has to resort to the criminals (remember she’s a criminal too, her spacewalk probably instigated the 100 being sent down and the 300 in the culling,) and to get them on her side she straight up LIED, so here are Memori getting sick from radiation and she realizes that it’s leaking into where the prisoners are welding, but if they stop the whole nuclear core will melt down and THERE GOES THE LAST OF HUMANITY POOF!! And so, in an intense life or death decision she lies to them again and locks Murphy in there with them because she knows he’ll have to stay so he’ll stop the meltdown. It works last minute and she realizes what she’s done. Nikki comes in and beats her up for killing her beloved partner in crime. No meltdown, except for within Raven. Meanwhile, Sheidheda has more plots up his sleeves and our heroes have no idea.

Three episodes, 20 years and 2 days. Clarke grieves and has a meltdown. Raven stops a meltdown and becomes what she always fought against. Emori almost dies. Murphy is a freaking hero again with a smart mouth. Madi is free from the flame. Wonkru is dissolved. Octavia is healed. Hope is grown. Bellamy is taken. 

Tbh I think you think it’s slow because you already knew all that stuff because you cheated and looked at the spoilers. What you want is to know how they get Bellamy back, so it all feels like filler to you. Because you’ve btdt with the spoilers. 

20 years just passed and it’s been three episodes.

That’s the three episodes we got added to the season and didn’t have last year.  From here on in it’s the same length as we usually have.

Fic Writers Week Day 7: Rec Time!

Yay! This is the day I was looking forward to the most honestly, I love spreading the love for fics I read! Please also check out a few underrated recs I did for day 2 here! For this post I’m mostly going to be listing all time favorites, as well as the fics I’m currently subscribed to (in no particular order)! I imagine this post will get freakishly long, so as always, it’s going under a read more. 

This week was amazing, it’s so lovely to see all the enthusiasm and support for fic writers <3 I hope this trend can continue way past this week as well ^^ 

Please also refer to my bookmarks! Everything I have bookmarked is quality and surely won’t let you down, but I could not include every single one on this list (it ended up being too long as is lol) but I definitely encourage you to give them all a read! 

Alright, let’s talk about some fics! 

Ride or Die (Iwaoi, E)

For an esteemed racer, intended for the big leagues, owning a garage and racing on the streets should have felt like settling rather than a dream. But Oikawa Tooru is as happy as he can be, as long as he's behind the wheel of a car; until a misstep lands him a heavy fine, and a crumbling future.

Having grown up in one of the roughest neighbourhoods in Tokyo, Iwaizumi Hajime is no stranger to the mob life. But establishing himself as a separate entity has always been his goal. He's a man of action, someone who does what he's asked without any questions. But when the people he's tried so hard to distance himself from come knocking at his front door, he realizes that he finally has to establish a side: his own.

Iwaizumi wants Oikawa's expertise: someone who can both drive well and knows his way around cars. And Oikawa wants absolutely nothing to do with gangs, the kind of people that lit a fire to his life. Everything changes when two people who live very different lives realize they're both fighting for the same thing.

Alright, so I’ve been following this fic since chapter one, and ahh @oiivkawa​ does such an amazing job with it! It’s the fast and furious AU that the fandom needed tbh, each chapter has me on the edge of my seat. The drama, romance, and fun are all evenly balanced and I can’t get enough of iwaoi’s dynamic in it! It also has the hints of an OiKuroo friendship that I love, as well as some kurotsuki thrown in, not to mention Semi even has a role?!! It’s everything I’ve ever wanted, so please go check it out! 

galaxies, within you (Iwaoi, T) 

Hajime and Tooru move in together at the start of university. Too bad they’re stuck with the two gremlins that haunt their apartment.

I read this fic just this week, so all the beautiful emotions and details are still so fresh in my head ; ; The writing in this was so gorgeous, as were the characterizations! If you love pining and happy endings, this is for you! Oh, and also funny af Matsukawa and Hanamaki shenanigans lol. The emotion and the humor compliment each other so well in this fic, one minute my heart was aching, and the next I was dying from laughter. It’s just a lovely iwaoi fic all around, so please give it a read! And make sure to follow @skiecas​ <3

Wicked Games (Kurotsuki, Iwaoi, Bokuaka, E)

After years of being one of the many faceless foot soldiers in the ranks, Bokuto gets a much-deserved promotion. But with the new job comes great responsibility. The job is easy enough. All Bokuto has to do is look after the Boss's mate: The Boss's beautiful, intriguing mate.

Tbh if you like hardcore mafia aus, then this is the fic for you. @caelestisxyz​ is like...a master storyteller, her plots are so well developed and original, idk how she does it! Every chapter is also packed full of romance and nail biting drama, so it’s not for the faint of heart, but if you’re not scared of the angst which comes with this kind of au, then I would seriously recommend it. It’s incredible and features all my fav pairings in such a badass setting! 

A Place to Call Home (Iwaoi, Bokuaka, E) 

Oikawa Tooru doesn't need an alpha. He's doing fine all on his own. And the past four years of being a single mother have proven that this is exactly what he wanted from life.

Of course, life has a way of not always going as planned.

This is another fic I’m currently subscribed to! I will admit I don’t usually read kidfics, but @madamemalfoy21​ has such cute plots and stellar characterizations that I can’t resist her works! Everything about this fic is heartwarming, and every update brings a smile to my face. Oikawa as a single parent trying to figure out how to love again is such a treat to explore, and with the other pairings thrown in, it makes the fic such a pleasure to read <3 

Let it Linger (Kurotsuki, T)

Kei has loved Tetsurou for years.

Tetsurou has loved Keiji for years.

Keiji is marrying Koutarou.

Alright, hold the phone y’all, this fic right here is extraordinary. It’s one of my favorites I’ve ever read, omg, the character growth and reflection is so powerful in this fic AND the slow burn is wonderful. I usually avoid angst like the plague but I can’t really resist @rhealmobsidi​ and her works, I’ve been reading her stuff since I was but a smol lmao and she never disappoints. This fic right here is so heart-aching and heart warming at the same time, I can’t get enough. Please read it if you have not! 

cookies and cream (Bokuaka, E)

Some people might tell Akaashi that he couldn't bake his worries away.

But some people haven't dated Bokuto Koutarou.

Alright, so I’ve been on a bokuaka binge these past few days, so the next few recs will be for them! This fic is so funny lmao, the idea of Akaashi stress baking was just super interesting to me. But not only that, the fic was super touching and romantic jsdnfk I love domestic bokuaka so much, and this delivered! 

Corpora Permutavere (Bokuaka, T) 

“Akaaaaashi, you gotta make a wish after you blow them out!” Bokuto was leaning across the table so far that the candle flames danced in his eyes, turning them to molten metal. And while Akaashi found himself appreciating his teammate’s birthday fervor in a way that was soft, foreign, and somewhat unexpected, Bokuto should still have known that this level of spectacle was neither Akaashi’s preference, nor something he was entirely comfortable with.

Under such pressure, he blew out the candles. Then, as requested, made a wish.

I wish Bokuto-san understood the perspective of someone other than himself.

Bokuto and Akaashi switch bodies. It goes as well as you might expect.

I assume most people have already read this fic and I’m super late lmao?? But in case you haven’t, you need to! It’s just a great story dealing with romance, mental health, and character growth. I tore through this fic, it was so amazing and beautifully written. So many great, though provoking lines/scenes had me thinking about this fic days later, and even writing this I feel like rereading fff. He accepted his classmate's chocolates gracefully, then declared his lack of interest with as much dignity as he could muster. She deserved the courtesy. At least she'd acknowledged that Valentine's Day was all about her, and not about him in the slightest.

Because if any of these girls had taken the time to actually get to know him, they’d quickly realize something even more important than his lack of interest in girls.

And that was that Akaashi hated sweets.

This is another one by @silvercistern​ because I am addicted to their bokuaka characterizations lmao. The way Akaashi is written is so amusing and complex, and the bokuaka dynamics are lovable and cute fff. The awkwardness of Akaashi’s love life and his hatred of Valentine’s Day made for a wonderful read, so I can’t help but share this fic as well!

This fic was so damn adorable, that’s all I have to really say about it lmao @mooites​ did a great job of making this such a fun read! I loved the inclusion of Bokuto’s sisters and how their trends benefit him lmao it was just really cute to see him use magazines to act on his feelings. I loved this fic, so please check it out if you haven’t! 

Behind Bricks (Bokuaka, E)

Akaashi has always had a good idea of what his future would look like.

Becoming a prostitute hadn't been part of the plan.

Bokuto Koutarou wasn't part of the plan, either. Akaashi meets him by chance, and is drawn in by Bokuto's optimism and authenticity. He's never met anyone like Bokuto, and despite his initial reluctance, Akaashi finds himself getting a little too attached.

Alright, last bokuaka fic lmao but another amazing one no less! @worthlesspride​ writes some of the best and sweetest bokuaka there is, so I recommend all their fics (not just for bokuaka, but all pairs!). I don’t wanna spoil much about this fic, but please read the tags before diving in! You won’t be disappointed, the plot is A++ and the nice mix of angst and romance is to die for <3

Kuroo is the best sparring partner that Tsukishima could ask for, but that doesn’t make him any less annoying of one,

So @ohoholyshit​ wrote a BNHA AU for kurotsuki, and I’m still not over it. Just...please read it, it’s so lovely and funny and just kljsfjdssjkd I live for kurotsuki being awkward boys with their poorly concealed crushes lmao. Also the quirks they’ve been given are so fitting and creative, I was so into this verse fff. 

Angels in the Snow (Promptis, E) 

On a snowy morning, the wolf Prince Noctis discovers an intruder, a fox boy from Niflheim, playing in the snow. Though they quickly become best friends, everyone knows Prompto Argentum does not belong in the Lucis palace, and Noctis can only protect him for so long, especially when Prompto isn't exactly what he seems.

Okay so this is the only non-Haikyuu! fic on this list, but it’s still amazing and if you like FFXV then you need to read it. It has everything from angst, to cute romantic moments, and ofc, omegaverse. I love @emeraldwaves​ and her writing, and she’s really outdone herself with this fic!

Oh, WOW. Top three SPALLEN moments too?!? I’ve never even thought of these tbh. Lmao. No one has ever asked. 😂 I’ll see if I can even remember far back enough to give you my top moments for them, but okay, here we go!

WESTALLEN:

1) 1x15 - Iris’s confession + kiss-like I could watch this scene on repeat for days (the whole episode rly). Everything from the music to the dialogue to the kiss (obvs) & both their facial expressions throughout it all are LIFE. 😍 Plus HE reveals to her he’s the Flash. More than I could’ve ever dreamed. Def a top 3 moment of theirs for me. ❤️

2) 2x23 - “I love you, Barry”-this whole scene was life & the best first kiss/ILYs we deserved. We see even in 3x21, it’s a huge moment for Barry b/c it’s one of the biggest memories he loses & then gets back. Just…Iris reaching out to Barry, using the potential of a romantic relationship as a way to help him cope, then understanding that for him even that’s not enough. Her willingness to wait for him b/c he waited so long for her. And then that ILY in that soft, choked up voice (that I did not see coming at ALL), followed by the sweetest, most perfect, most climactic kiss ever, I… And then Barry reciprocates her feelings too, which I had been waiting for since 2x16 I’m pretty sure. We got little nuggets in 2x20-2x22, but none of them were as clear cut as I wanted them to be (though 2x22 came pretty close), so that made my life as well. Aaaand we’ll just ignore everything that came next. Lol. Def DEF a top WA scene for me. Lol.

3) 3x09 - “I love you, Barry Allen” / “I love you, Iris West” + 3x14 opening scene & 3x14 proposal & 3x17 proposal…-basically all their big, super romantic moments in s3. Lol. I just can’t narrow it down to one out of all the incredibly gushworthy ones we got. Firsts are obvs a big thing for me. Asking Iris to move w/ him on Christmas + ILYs? That scene was so pure. I can’t help but ‘awwww’ over it every time I see it. The 3x14 opening scene was EVERYTHING. It was so domestic & Barry being so extra & Iris being shook & ILYs w/ the most adorable little kisses imaginable & the very clear implication of morning sex, I… It was life. I want many MANY more scenes like that in the show’s future (so we can all see it). The 3x14 proposal - *sigh* its tainted now & I know that. But if you ignore what came after (lol)…it was SO ROMANTIC. Candles EVERYWHERE, Iris’s favorite dish (& since he didn’t tell Joe abt the proposal, it means HE MADE IT HIMSELF), her fav ice cream, that super romantic backstory. I mean, I just… For a proposal w/ ulterior motives, that was pretty damn impressive. And Iris’s facial expressions throughout. She was so shook & touched &…that scene was GREAT. 😍 And ofc the 3x17 proposal. What can I say? He SANG for her. He wrote up a song & sang it & he put his whole heart into her. It was rly about just how much he loved her this time & it was so, SO beautiful. He doesn’t like to show off his singing talent if he doesn’t have to, but he did this. They freaking slow danced during it (which was def on my list of WA wishes to see) & the way he just so tenderly caressed her cheeks & held her hand…and he proposes to her in the exact same place he broke up w/ her, so he’s basically replacing a heartbreaking moment w/ the best moment of their lives. So when Iris looks at that spot on their windowsill, she’ll think of him proposing genuinely, not breaking her heart & I just… such a beautiful, BEAUTIFUL moment. The proposal at the end of the scene was just the cherry on top. Bless.

SPALLEN:

1) 2x05 - “I don’t want to wait anymore.”-Okay, so this whole episode was so adorable for them in general, what w/ the blind date & first kiss & all, but this line in particular just sold it for me. These two had been flirting non-stop for the past three eps at least (& only once was it too cheesy for me to go ‘RLY, guys?’ Lol). Barry ofc was in denial bc he’s not over Iris & doesn’t want to move on in case there’s the possibility Iris will suddenly want to be w/ him, but Joe tells him on more than one occasion that he’s into Patty, which he eventually has to admit to. Lol. And I love when he does & he makes a very determined effort to put her & their potential romantic relationship first. He corners her on the stairs & lays it all out, makes it obvs that there’s a connection there for him & he wants to explore it. Now that the blinders have been peeled away from his eyes, there’s no going back for him, & I just rly, rly love that line. And the whole episode. :P

2) 2x06 - “I might need a reminder soon.”-This ep had some great, swoonworthy scenes for them too (including the last one - “getting to know you makes me happy” 😭😩😍). But, as corny as it was, them recalling their first kiss & Patty being all ‘oh, I’m forgetting about it suddenly…you better kiss me again, so I remember.’ Lol. Too cute. I adore it. ❤️

3) 2x10 - “You need to figure out what it is that you want, and do it fast.”-Maybe it doesn’t make sense that this scene is in my top 3, but the angst was SO GOOD. He hadn’t told her yet & she was worried about him & had given him so many opportunities to tell her & she wants to go deeper w/ him. She wants the relationship to move past fun to serious, but there’s no way it can if he can’t meet her halfway. And I just…I was holding my breath, on the edge of my seat…I just wanted him to TELL HER. And then at the end of the ep I was hopeful & then that got squashed & 2x11 just hurt, but that scene in 2x10…MAN. It was so good. They could’ve come back from that & I’m so pissed that they didn’t, but it rly was just SO… like, he was finally rly listening to her & it was just emotionally top notch. Such a solid scene, even as it was breaking my heart. 😢

Aaaaand that’s a wrap!! As of rn, I’m not totally feeling better. But I appreciate your concern, Anon, & thanks for sending me such a fun ask! I felt the same way about spallen as you, so it was cool to actually get into that w/ somebody. 😁
