Couldn't sleep and was bored, and kinda hate Drake so um
Drake's biggest fuckups I've caught on this beef
He loves trying to diss Kendrick for his height. Yk like a toddler would.
He tries to say Kendrick's Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers was a bad album. If we're talking critical reviews, it had a Metacritic rating of 85/100, compared to Drake's highest ever rating of 79/100 for Nothing Was The Same. In fact, Kendrick's lowest Metacritic score so far has been 80/100 for Section.80, again over Drake's highest.
...and if we're talking sales or streams, well first, no one ever challenged Drake's sales compared to Kendrick. I think we all know Drake is pretty much unmatched when it comes to that. Second, if sales were a factor to determine quality of music, then holy shit "Despacito" must be an all time magnum opus like nothing anyone ever heard before lol.
Trying to call Kendrick a sellout for doing songs with Maroon 5 and Taylor Swift? Drake calling someone else a sellout? 🤡🤡🤡
The line where he said Kendrick isn't on the big three because SZA, Travis Scott and 21 Savage "got him wiped down". Okay, first, I'm pretty sure this guy thinks big three means just "the three best selling" and uhhh no not quite. And second, and most obvious, SZA? SZA isn't even a rapper, why are you trying to bring her into this? 🙄
The AI to imitate 2Pac's and Snoop's voices. A few points here. First of all, the fucking disrespect to 2Pac, what the fuck. Glad Pac's family threatened him to remove it. Second, Snoop Dogg is alive. You just used his AI voice cause you know damn well he wouldn't be caught dead doing a verse on a Kendrick diss for you. And as a third point, it's just funny you felt like you had to use AI to make a diss track. Ghostwriters weren't enough for this one ig lol.
"Taylor Made Freestyle" was all just him begging on his hands and knees for Kendrick to reply something and give him some attention. Drake took almost a month replying to Kendrick's verse on "Like That". And he's begging for a response to "Push Ups" like a week after it was leaked (and the same day it was even officially released in the first place)
He tried to say the things Kendrick would diss him with. He was mostly right but oh boy did Kendrick do so much more.
Is he a Swiftie too? Cause he wouldn't let her go for "Taylor Made". In his mind, he swears Kendrick wasn't dropping a diss cause he didn't want to interrupt Taylor Swift's album's success, which is just a funny and dumb conclusion to make.
Spends the end of that track just talking, trying to praise Taylor for "managing Kendrick's schedule". 🤡
Drake beginning "Family Matters" with an n word and then going "yeah I said it I know that you mad" really came off sounding like when 12 year olds play online and say the word to seem tough. 😂
"Always rapping like you trying to get the slaves freed". Dang so making songs that actually have substance and meaning means you wanna free slaves, okay.
About these next lines...
Tumblr media
Kendrick said he hated the girls you fuck referring to your dumbass being a pedo and hated you trying to hook up with underage girls. Not at any point did he say anything about their color tf.
"I've been with black and white and everything that's in between" okay so all underage girls okay got it. Again that was never the point. 😐
"You the black messiah wifin' up a mixed queen" Drake seriously missed the whole entire fucking point. Kendrick never said he didn't like you for hooking up with white women, what the fuck. And again the messiah thing is just funny.
He mentioned Whitney on "Push Ups", and some gave him the benefit of the doubt thinking he might have just done some wordplay about Whitney Houston being called the same as Kendrick's wife, wasn't clear enough. But these lyrics here are what made it abundantly clear he did want to try to mess with his family. I'm sorry but at this point that's not a rap beef, you intentionally tried to make it personal. Maybe you knew you never had a chance so you thought going there would make it possible to win? As if you didn't have a horrible fucking record already.
"Why you never hold your son and tell him 'say cheese'?" Maybe he doesn't want to expose him too much to the public while he raises him, decent human beings would understand that.
"We could've left the kids out of this, don't blame me" Kendrick said you don't know shit about raising a child based on information that was already abundantly public (see "The Story Of Addidon") and also based on the fact that you, despite having that child, love playing tough on IG and dropping disses using AI begging Kendrick to reply. Trying to get Kendrick's children involved is totally on you, buddy. Kendrick wasn't the one dealing with being exposed with having a child no one knew about and you wouldn't acknowledge.
He loves baselessly claiming that one of Kendrick's children isn't his. Again, baselessly, so literally just gossip lol.
And speaking of baseless stuff, he's really keeps running on his claim that Kendrick has beaten his wife. THERE IS NO EVIDENCE OF THIS. Like at all. In his mind, he probably thinks that since his easily provable bullshit was exposed, he'll try to invent some bs on Kendrick too to make it seem like they're both horrible people. The only piece of shit we know of in this beef is you, Drake.
Not at Kendrick but in a diss aimed at The Weeknd, Drake had to pull out his homophobic card. Disgusting. Fuck, it's so easy to dislike this guy. 🙄
Tumblr media
Saying that Kendrick's music only "hitting hard" when Baby Keem writes on it. Is it cause he has writing credits on "N95"? He does ad libs on the song so I'm pretty sure that's why he's listed. Are the ad libs that fire? Lol
"Kendrick just opened his mouth, somebody go hand him a Grammy right now" awww he jealous bout Kendrick's Grammy's lol 🥺
He brought up Kendrick's transgender uncle, and was transphobic to try to diss Kendrick. Just plain ignorant and disgusting as hell. But of course he did. 😑🙄
Tumblr media
Tried to blame Kendrick for 2Pac's family threatening legal action for his "Taylor Made Freestyle". Bro what you did was plain disrespectful and it was just bound to happen.
Did he really try to brag about the video leaked of him masturbating? 🤡🤡🤡
And this nonsense right here, was it cause he visited Ghana or something? He's trying to pin Kendrick as a racist? Huh?
Tumblr media
...and follows this up with an ignorant, racist, weird ass comment dissing Michael Jackson too for no reason whatsoever. 🤡
Tumblr media
Talking to the mirror here lol
Tumblr media
Naming his diss track "The Heart part 6" was almost clever. Except for the fact that yk the song is fucking trash.
The first line on this song calls Kendrick "the Pulitzer Prize winner". Yeah pointing out an accolade as amazing as that one at the beginning of a diss towards him will definitely do it. 😀
Having a comment by Dave Free as the cover for the single. Is this his evidence for a kid being his? 😂
Saying you "plotted to give Kendrick information" doesn't even help you much when it's all easily believable based on your background lol.
Denying the child Kendrick is exposing him to have, again, doesn't help your case at all after Adonis.
Goes back to saying Kendrick beat his wife and one of his children is not his, again with no evidence or hint whatsoever, only to go and say he's all about "facts". 🤡
Okay so, be careful everyone, don't leave heart emojis to any child or baby post ever, cause Drake is going to think you're the father.
Tumblr media
Why is he even bringing up Kendrick's confessions on "Mother I Sober"? How is bringing up a traumatic potential sexual abuse incident a good way to dodge your own sexual abuse allegations? And that's not even exactly what Kendrick said on the fucking song! It's just disgusting.
Tumblr media
And then tries to ridicule Kendrick for being a victim of this. What the fuck is wrong with this mf.
Tumblr media
Okay and this one is just cringe. He tried to spin Kendrick's jab on "Not Like Us". B sharp isn't even a thing btw. 😂😂🤡
Tumblr media
"I'd never look twice at no teenager" there is literally video of you kissing a teenager on stage, for starters. So you just look at them once before you creep on them how does that work
"Only fucking with Whitney" ah yes the old "I'll fuck your bitch" trope very clever and original Drake
Drake believing some bullshit he saw around about Kendrick using bots to boost his view count is just hilarious. He really thinks Kenny sat down and took some time to actually do that. 😂😂
He thinks people will cancel Kendrick over his baseless battery accusations. 🤡
He ends it with another minute rant like the one he did on "Taylor Made", and starts by saying the beef was "some good exercise". Ngl it is the first time I hear Drake rap at all in a while. So yeah gotta thank Kendrick for getting Drake to actually TRY to do some good music at all. (It's not even good but yk better than whatever trash he was doing before the beef)
"Just let me know when we getting to the facts, everything in my shit is facts" *doubles down on baseless claims of battery and one of Kendrick's children not being his*

hi razz! i'm sorry to hear that you're sick, feel better soon! any music you've been listening to lately that you'd recommend? :D
hii!! thank you so much!! ohhh i love to yap so here are some less-popular artists (at least i think these ppl are kinda niche to me but maybe i'm just out of touch)
ethel cain is officially one of my all time favorite artists of all time. i saw her live, front-row, and got to hold her hand and sing sun-bleached flies with her. ethel is a stage name and her real name is hayden, she is an absolutely beautiful trans female artist. her album, preacher's daughter, is a concept album that i think everyone should listen to, all the way through, in order. it is quite a disturbing story, so exercise caution. i like all her music, not just that album. she writes about the american south, cycles of abuse, having a strained relationship with god, and dating shitty men.
sorry mom is one of the greatest upcoming punk bands around. i am fully biased because i may or may not be friends with someone in the band...shh though because i don't want anyone to be like omg sorry mom is associated with this fucking tickle fic blog oh my god i'd be so embarrassed shut up. anyway, their debut album babyface is actually one of my favorite albums ever as well. their lyrics are fucking unmatched. the main theme of babyface is the pain and struggle of growing up, feeling younger than you are, feeling behind all of your peers...a feeling that i strongly relate to and i think a lot of people do. their first ep is also great but the girl who is no longer in the band cannot fucking sing so listen to those with caution lmfao. i rlly hope they re-record those songs bc i love them, it's just...her. specific songs you should check out are: molly sells molly by the seashore / getting sick / town clown / enema / teeth / stoop kid.
peach prc is a tiktoker turned popstar who is just so fucking talented and writes incredible lyrics. she's a lesbian and her newest song, secret, is about dating a closeted girl. she writes about being gay, her struggles with mental illness and addiction, as well as fun, upbeat, songs about sex and hating her exes. i think her genre is maybe considered hyper-pop?? idk i'm not good with subgenres lol but she is sooo talented and her tiktoks are fucking hilarious and she is so funny and cool and an amazing writer and singer. my favorite songs are heavy / forever drunk / josh / favorite person / like a girl does.
those are the ones i feel the need to scream about and indoctrinate people into liking. taylor swift, olivia rodrigo, chappell roan, sabrina carpenter, and megan thee stallion are all big favs lately. i'm also getting really into metal and subgenres of metal because of my partner. slipknot, ice nine kills, spiritbox, and dance gavin dance are the main ones i've latched onto.

Favorite Food: any fast foods even he enjoys garbage food💀
Least Favorite Food: acorn

=======================================================
PROFILE
He is the long lost nephew of Teijo Masakuza who went missing for over 12 years from a crime incident that he’s involved in. After Sen was found from the wilderness, he went on a long-term mental recovery then was taken by Teijo under his wing to raise him which is he’s only family relative he have left.
Due to his long absence, he is clueless about the modernized world and tries his best to adapt the society but couldn’t convey his verbal words properly to other people. On the other hand, he’s invested specifically hiphop music, he was able to express himself well through rapping though his lyrics are cryptic.
=======================================================
APPEARANCE
Sen is a young-looking boy with light skin and the height considerably shorter than his teammates. He has dark green messy hair that goes past his neck like he has a bad hair day and how it’s hilarious that he has two small leaves and a stick stuck in his hair for a long time. He has the same yellow eyes as Teijo but it’s darker than him and a oblong shaped eyebrows.
Upon his face, he has a bandaid on his nose that covers his wide scar he has when he was at the wilderness. For his attire, his clothes were unmatched the style and completely ripped or torn by him because he wasn’t comfortable the feeling of the fabric so he fixed his clothes to ended up damaging it.
He simply wore a cotton long-sleeve sweater with color pitch, maroon, and black for the top while he has white cloth filled with black ink on the last edge that’s wrap around his waist and grey pants that’s also been torned on the end of the sleeves. He wasn’t fond of wearing shoes, instead he can only wear a single leather sandal on his left foot while he wear a single green sock with a forest design on his right foot. He sometimes wore a black punk style beanie and as for the accessories, he wore a spiky dog collar that says “good boy” in it.
=======================================================
PERSONALITY
He always comes off to be a creepy kid who made a long gaze on someone without even blinking. Actually in reality, he was being a bit shy towards the people he doesn’t know and observe them whether they’re friendly or not. Quite a silent person, yes but is generally good-natured person who considers few humans he encounter and animals from the wilderness to be his family & friends. After he reunites with Teijo, he has slowly intergrating with the society again through the help of his uncle and Ishihara although he’s emotionally fragile of not fully understand the good and the down side of the world that he lacks the common sense between what’s good & bad.
He does have a little bit of common sense. For instance, he has a quick thinking if he made someone sad, he’ll try to make it up for them or if someone cause trouble for others and is willing to help those in need. Sen believes the moral concept of “love” and “family” the most and values those he cared about wholeheartedly. He’d be eager to protect those from harm and won’t hesitate to be enraged if they’re being hurt by other parties. Ever since he was in the forest, he’s actually very lonely due to the fact he’s not fully like the wild animals and never interact with human beings like him before or atleast couldn’t remember if he does met one or two.
This boy didn’t went to school yet considering he wasn’t mentally prepared to socialize anyone at his age. Instead, he can work in a sideline as an errand boy where he can go anywhere to do various tasks and errand in earning money for living, also trying to help Teijo with his financial problems. It was a bit difficult for him to learn etiquette and good mannerism for the first time, knowing that he’s used to be in a wildlife environment and still carries his wild instincts of survival like a caveman but the good thing is he knows about treating someone with kindness.
Also he has a hard time socializing that he doesn’t know how to react or correspond to other people rather he speaks only frankly with short phrases and words, which he had hard time conveying his thoughts well. Technically he’s very confused about the popular trends around him that he would either ignores it or have the urge to follow without thinking. He doesn’t remember what he was like before he reside in the forest or gone missing. He doesn’t remember his own parents or what crimes they’ve committed. Nonetheless about his circumstances, some of the locals accepts him for who he is and thought of him as a good kid.
=======================================================
RAP ABILITY
Nameless (the ability to let the opponents completely forget what they were doing. The effects will worn off after the battle)
=======================================================
ETYMOLOGY
—> Sen means “really” (セ) (se) and “tooth” (ン) (n)
=======================================================
TRIVIA
Sen’s MC name NIX means “nothing”
His last name was [REDACTED], according to Teijo

He likes to go outside wandering around and brought garbage junk to his home.
He was sent to a reformatory several times because of his feral behavior
He’s not used to technologies very well in fact, he could destroy it if startled him.
Sen has a hobby to craft dolls made out of small twigs and straws. He would use it to give someone as a token of friendship or gaining his trust.
He has a small fox companion that it always follows him around, even come all the way to Ōita. He asks Teijo’s permission once but he got himself an earful scolding.

My Favorite Pink Floyd Songs
I FEEL LIKE MAKING A LIST. I am putting it here in my digital diary. (Ignore this, I got too personal.)
Pink Floyd is and has been my favorite band since I was thirteen years old. They have been a constant presence in my life as my dad has been a huge fan his entire life. I have memories of him playing and singing PF songs to me when I was a kid. I have yet to find a band/artists who surpasses them in my mind. That being said, I haven't listened to all of their albums yet because I'm so satisfied with what I have heard that I haven't gotten bored enough to hear more yet. (YET!) I am savoring them and their music. I love all of the songs on these albums but I'm trying to narrow them down as much as possible, for fun.
MEDDLE (1971)
Echoes - What a TRIP. This is a song that inspires me endlessly, I pick up on something new every time I listen to it. Some insane lyricism, paired with crazy instrumentals. Holy cow. Favorite Lyrics - "The echo of a distant time comes willowing across the sand / And everything is green and submarine" and "Strangers passing in the street / By chance two separate glances meet / And I am you and what I see is me"
DARK SIDE OF THE MOON (1973)
Breathe (In the Air) - One of the songs I remember my dad singing to me as a kid. I remember one day he pulled up the lyrics to show me, and they went over my head at the time, but every time I hear this song now they haunt me. Favorite Lyrics - "Run, rabbit run / Dig that hole, forget the sun / And when at last the work is done / Don't sit down it's time to dig another one"
Time - This is in my top three PF songs. I cannot express how beautiful and fucking gut-wrenching this song is. It has one of the band's best guitar solos. When I hear this song I ascend and also comprehend my own mortality like it's the first time. Unmatched. I hear this song and panic over the passage of time, but I also bask in the absolute beauty of the music itself. Favorite Lyrics - "And you run and you run to catch up with the sun / but it's sinking" (Honorable mention: "Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way")
WISH YOU WERE HERE (1975)
Shine on You Crazy Diamond (Pts. 1-5) - Knowing the lore behind this song makes it absolutely insane. This is another song where I remember my dad showing the lyrics to me and pointing them out. I love this song just for the lyrics alone, the imagery in it inspires me heavily as a writer. Favorite Lyrics - "Remember when you were young? / You shone like the sun / Shine on you crazy diamond / Now there's a look in your eyes / Like black holes in the sky"
Have A Cigar - This is absolutely a hype song for me, put it on and I'll be singing along (badly) at the top of my lungs. I enjoy the commentary on the music industry a lot, plus it reminds me of one of my OCs, Lake, so bonus points for that. It feels like the antithesis to Orville Peck's "Turn to Hate". Favorite Lyrics - "Come in here, dear boy, you're gonna go far / You're gonna fly high, you're never gonna die / You're gonna make it if you try / They're gonna love you"
Wish You Were Here - This and Brain Damage were the first PF songs I really "found" on my own. I have wept to this song too many times to count. It reminds me of my dad. Favorite Lyrics - "We're just two lost souls swimming in a fishbowl, year after year / Running over the same old ground, what have we found? / The same old fears / Wish you were here"
ANIMALS (1977)
Dogs - This album is 100% political commentary through and through, which is one of the reasons I love it. That being said, I relate to certain aspects of this song when I'm doing really badly. It reminds me of the brutality of my childhood, of growing up in an abusive authoritarian home with my specific family dynamic (being the aggressor but also being a pawn in someone else's game). It also has some insane instrumentals. Favorite Lyric - "Gotta admit, I'm a little bit confused / Sometimes it seems to me as if I'm just being used"
Sheep - This is just a straight-up banger. I think it's just one you'll have to listen to because it's hard for me to put how I feel about this one into words. My favorite moments in the song are 2:47 and 7:23. Favorite Lyric - "Wave upon wave of demented avengers / March cheerfully out of obscurity into the dream"
THE WALL (1979)
Empty Spaces - Woo this is a doozy of an album. I have words but no thoughts at the moment. Empty Spaces is in my opinion a perfect transitional song. I love the guitarwork in this one, the menacing-ness of it. And then, of course, the transition into Young Lust, which is one of my favorite songs off of The Wall. Favorite Lyric - "What shall we use to fill the empty spaces / Where we used to talk?"
Young Lust - Probably my ultimate hype PF song. Brings out all of the testosterone in my small body to the surface. I hear this song and I NEED A DIRTY WOMAN! WHO'S GONNA SHOW THIS STRANGER AROUND! I FEEL IT IN MY SPIRITUAL DICK. It's such a mood shift but God, is it good.
One of My Turns - This is my favorite song off The Wall, hands down. I remember listening to it for the first time and I remember listening to it for the first time. This song means a lot to me on a very personal level. I used to have very fast swings into anger when I was younger, so that along with the constant push-pull dynamic I have had with people at certain points in my life... this song sometimes sounds like my brain. The clueless dialogue in the beginning, the TV droning, this song is like swinging from dissociation into a rage, which are two states I am very, very familiar with. One of My Turns leading into Don't Leave Me Now imo perfectly encapsulates what it's like to have a disorganized attachment style. Favorite Lyrics - "And night after night, we pretend it's alright / But I have grown older and you have grown colder / And nothing is very much fun anymore / And I can feel one of my turns coming on / I feel cold as a razorblade, tight as a tourniquet / dry as a funeral drum"
Comfortably Numb - Again, I remember listening to this song for the first time and I remember listening to this song for the first time. This has probably the best guitar solo I've ever heard in my life. Holy hell. I'm listening to it now and it's giving me goosebumps. That whole solo tells a story in itself. I love Hey, You's solo as well but I'm going to have to give the trophy to Comfortably Numb. Ironically, this was one of the very first PF songs I discovered on my own but I don't think I really "felt" it until maybe eight months ago. If you listen to one song off of The Wall, listen to this one. Favorite Lyrics - "When I was a child, I caught a fleeting glimpse / Out of the corner of my eye / I turned to look, but it was gone / I cannot put my finger on it now / The child is grown, the dream is gone"
THE FINAL CUT (1983)
Your Possible Pasts - Again, this is a very political album so I don't exactly feel qualified to speak on it much (bc I am not very educated when it comes to British politics), but this song is incredible. Edit: I did go and read up a bit on this album and there are LAYERS. It expands on the lore from the Wall, love these guys, they are geniuses. Anyway. Sonically, I love this song. I think it's one of those songs where it's going to take me 100 listens to really "get" it, and I'm on my 64th. Favorite Lyric - "By the cold and religious we were taken in hand / Shown how to feel good and told to feel bad"
The Final Cut - Okay, this is another one of my OG first discoveries as far as PF goes. Again, a very personal song for me, with all of my past mental health issues as a kid/teenager. I'm happy to report that I don't relate to this song as much as I did years ago. Again, disorganized attachment themes (I am projecting but that's how I interpret it lol). I have ugly-cried to this more times than I can count over the years. Favorite Lyrics - "Through the fish-eyed lens of tear stained eyes / I can barely define the shape of this moment in time" and "There's a kid who had a big hallucination / Making love to girls in magazines / He wonders if you're sleeping with your newfound faith / Could anybody love him, or is it just a crazy dream?"
A MOMENTARY LAPSE OF REASON (1987)
The Final Cut was the last album featuring Roger Waters, so from then on the band shifted. David Gilmour took on the mantle of Pink Floyd and made A Momentary Lapse of Reason and The Division Bell, my two favorite PF albums (DB is my all-time favorite). I like Gilmour's stuff a lot more than Waters', there's a level of hope to his songs that is completely absent in Waters'. I listen to post-Final Cut stuff a lot more than pre for this reason.
Signs of Life - A very personal song for me. Reminds my of my spiritual walk. If I say anything more I'm going to seem like a weirdo. What an awesome album opener, though.
Learning to Fly - This is my dad's favorite PF song. I don't have much to say other than what a beautiful song. Gilmour's lyricism really shines here. If you were to narrow down my soul to only the good parts, it would sound like this song. I have cried grateful (!) tears to this song. Favorite Lyrics - "A soul in tension that's learning to fly / Condition grounded but determined to try" and "A dream unthreatened by the morning light / Could blow this soul right through the roof of the night"
One Slip - This is my "Young Lust" of this album. Hype song, but also it sounds like every single bad relationship I've been in, haha. It sounds like that moment of just thinking to myself "FUCK IT!", it sounds like me when my frontal lobe disappears entirely because I can't resist lesbians with big brown eyes, apparently. If you were to connect my brain to a Bluetooth speaker when I have a crush it would be just this song playing over and over. There's always a tipping point that ends up spiraling into messiness and this song sounds like that tipping point (in a self-aware way). Favorite lyrics - "I led the way to the funeral pyre / And without a thought of consequence I gave into my decadence" and "Was it love, or was it the idea of being in love? / Or was it the hand of fate that seemed to fit just like a glove?"
Yet Another Movie - Take a good long look at the cover of this album. Look longer. Want a song that sounds exactly like the cover? LOOK NO FURTHER. I love this song. It's so weird. The fucking instrumentals have me on my knees. The backing vocals from Casablanca? It's pure Gilmour weirdness. I don't know what language this man is speaking, but message received. What a banger.
Sorrow - This is actually one that I haven't listened to enough as the others but I do really love it. More awesome guitar, more insane lyricism. On my 100th play I'll understand this song more, I'm on my 45th play. Favorite Lyrics - "He's haunted by a memory of a lost paradise / In his youth or a dream, he can't be precise / He's chained forever to a world that's departed / It's not enough, it's not enough"
THE DIVISION BELL (1994)
My favorite Pink Floyd album. Nothing soothes my soul quite like listening to this one. If you want to KNOW me, listen to the Division Bell. It's pure David Gilmour genius. I fucking love this album, I want my vinyl buried with me when I die. If I could only listen to one album for the rest of my life, it's this one, easy.
Poles Apart - This song makes me cry! Wow. Who knew? What a beautiful, gut-wrenching song. It reminds me of my parents at different parts, and it's got some awesome instrumentals (there's a carnival? clown? motif in the middle but it works, somehow). There's a story told in this song, and I've lived the story, but I can't quite put my finger on exactly what it is. Favorite Lyrics - "The rain fell slow / Down on all the roofs of uncertainty / I thought of you / And the years and all the sadness fell away from me" (this lyric makes me think of my dad. Can you tell I love him?)
Wearing the Inside Out - More awesome instrumentals. I don't get why this album is so overlooked by PF fans, seriously!! Again, this is a very personal song for me - more spiritual woo-woo stuff. The lyrics are insane, like always. Favorite lyrics - "This bleeding heart's (waiting for the waves) / Not beating much (to break)"
Keep Talking - Again, disorganized attachment, this is EXACTLY how it feels for me when I spiral down into avoidant behaviors (if you're reading this and are concerned I am actively working on it!). It's also just a cool-ass song. I love the beginning, from the old voiceover and then that beat drop into the song? Mmhmm. That's what I'm talkin' about. Favorite Lyrics - "I think I should speak now (why won't you talk to me?) / I can't seem to speak now (you never talk to me!)"
Lost for Words - This is my all-time favorite PF song. It doesn't have the bells and whistles and crazy guitar solos but it touches me on a deep fucking level. It reminds me of my relationship with my mom, unfortunately. But it is a beautiful song full of cool lyrics and imagery, it's been my favorite on the DB since I first heard the album and has developed into my favorite PF song over the years. Every year the lyrics become more relatable to me, hah. I think about it a lot from the perspective of someone who used to just constantly be angry, but now is just too tired to be.
Favorite Lyrics - "Can you see your days blighted by darkness? / Is it true you beat your fists on the floor? / Stuck in a world of isolation / While the ivy grows over the door / So I open my door to my enemies / And I ask could we wipe the slate clean / But they tell me to please go and fuck myself / You know you just can't win"
Honorable mention - High Hopes for that fucking incredible solo.
MY TOP FIVE PICKS IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER (except 1.)
LOST FOR WORDS
Learning to Fly
Comfortably Numb
One of my Turns
Time
If you read all of this....what the fuck are you doing? Why? (thank you, now you know too much about me but you hopefully have found some good ass songs from this post)

Anon again, thank you for trying to allay my fears of a "Jimin desert." That was what you were trying to do, right? By raising the specter of another JK collab and album?
Gee, thanks. 😉
But your comment about Pdogg I did find controversial--and interesting. To me, FACE is a perfect album. I can't think of anything I'd want differently--except for it to be longer, of course.
But MUSE... we don't know yet. The concept photo this morning gives me hope, though. (So exciting!)
It's just that I already know there are two songs on MUSE I would probably skip after repeated listens. I don't skip ANYTHING on FACE. But then, I love the intense, the dramatic, and the misery. So that's on me.
In any case, do you have an idea for a different Jimin production team? He seems so comfortable with them and they work together so well. And Jimin is so loyal.
And he doesn't have anyone pushing/encouraging him in a different direction. Or perhaps he does, and we just don't know about it.
Thanks for the discussion!
Haha! Anon, were you looking to vent without comment? I'm sorry. I hate being on the receiving end of unsolicited advice, so please forgive me. But you and I both know more JK content is on the horizon because no way they invest so much into his solo career and then say nah, forget it.
I love a controversial conversation, so let's chat about Pdogg and why I don't want him on Jimin's future music team. Sorry, this is going to be long.
Let's talk about FACE first. Like you, I really love the album. There are three songs that feel strong and complete to me -
Interlude: Dive. A fascinating opportunity to be a fly on the wall on a day in Jimin's life. We go from mundane activities of daily life to the euphoria of being on stage and adored by fans to suddenly being deeply and utterly alone. Powerful.
Like Crazy. To me this is the most "complete" song on the EP. The synth pop sound goes so well with the concept of losing oneself in pleasure and vice. The lyrics are good, the use of Jimin's voice is good, and the music composition is interesting. Initially I was sort of put off by how often Blvsh and Chris James seemed to take credit for this song, but I suspect they have a right to.
Letter. This song is such a beautiful representation of what Jimin is capable of as a songwriter and as a singer. It's straight out of a romantic movie from the 1970's. It gives hints of Gordon Lightfoot, Jim Croce, and Cat Stevens. I love the strings, the acoustic guitar, the harmonica, the waves, but especially Jimin's soft, breathy whisper-like vocals. It's just a lovely love song.
I like the rest of the songs on the EP, too. I think Jimin's lyrics and vocal performance effectively convey anger and betrayal, loneliness, and eventually self determination and emancipation. Where I think the three songs fall short is with composition. They feel incomplete and a little amateurish. Set Me Free Pt. 2 is powerful and moving, but the song is too repetitive at the end. The performance, on the other hand, is unmatched.
Jimin is many things. He's an astonishingly talented dancer. He's a master of the stage. He's a great singer with a voice that drips with emotion when used correctly. But what he is not, is a trained composer/musician. This is a-ok, but it means he needs a great team of musicians to provide him with well written and fully realized compositions to match his fascinating narrative song-writing style.
I'm throwing out this example because I'm going to see Still Woozy in concert in a couple of weeks. Even if this isn't your style of music, just note how well all the instrumentation works together, how seamlessly the background vocals enhance the song, and how the tongue-in-cheek ad-libs and samples make the tune pop. Oh, and Sven (Still Woozy) records his music in his garage, not an ultra fancy music studio like Pdogg's.
I've spent a lot of time this week listening to Lie, Filter, Serendipity, and Promise. In all four of these Jimin solo songs, the compositions are so good and match the lyrics so well. Jimin's voice is used to the fullest, really relying on the power of his lower register and his techniques like growls and vocal runs. His high notes are used sparingly but poignantly. But when I listen to Closer Than This or SGMB, the compositions are just so flat. Where is Jimin's precious lower register? And what weird distortion are they doing to his voice on SGMB? Somebody is dropping the ball on these songs and I'm not ready to blame Jimin.
This reaction video strikes me as a fair review of SGMB. It's a fun, happy song, but there's basically no hook. It feels like missed opportunity. The track video is so well done, though. Jimin's creativity and charm really shines.
youtube
Like SMFpt2 and CTT, this song is repetitive. The refrain in the marching band horn section at the end is repeated 7 times. Yes, I counted.
In summary, the things that don't thrill me about Jimin's solo songs:
Too many high notes, not enough lower register and use of his vocal techniques.
Not enough background vocals or poorly done background vocals. Someone should go to jail for the bg vocals in CTT.
Overly simplistic compositions that lack tension and have too much repetition.
Jimin obviously feels comfortable and safe working with Pdogg and the rest of the SGMB crew. but I hope he eventually follows in RM's footsteps with RPWP (yes, he's on everybody's shit list today), hand selecting musicians and composers to work with who will push him out of his comfort zone and encourage him take risks.
It's really a pity that Jimin didn't get to see the response to FACE before he started recording MUSE. He's made several comments along the way that indicate he's really focused on making music that he believes will please the fans. In reality, what resonates with the fans is honest, sincere, vulnerable songs, like those on FACE. Not all songs need to be depressing, of course, but the sooner he gives up on being a people pleaser and instead hones in on the art of songwriting, the better his work will be.
Okay, thanks for sticking with me through this long post. Believe it or not I'm actually super excited to hear the rest of MUSE and I'm keeping an open mind.

Note
there is something about abiior that just emotionally hits and its experimental but it has the organic elements and its all of the things and bfiafl does it but abiior does it better. notes i cant quantify in my head why its the best album but it just is even though it doesnt have the same emotional pull. iliwys is just an insanely beautiful album and i think it would be their best if it had a stronger ending because nana and she lays down almost feel like add ons, very necessary songs, but i can stop after paris and still have that oh shit feeling of finishing an album.
while bfiafl is a solid album sometimes that is just what it is in comparison to the rest of their work like to me most of the tracks i fucking love but they dont hit in the same way and i cant explain it other that its just my gut feeling and its probably the autism as iliwys and notes feel so all consuming and almost viscerally compelling.
theres also something about notes where its the underdog album and it has that same air yo it as folie a deux by fall out boy where its kinda hated (although to much less of an extreme as when folie was first released) to the point where i feel liek it could become the fan favourite in a few years
but i like love jack antonoff and i will defend him forever i think the way he makes music feel almost tangible and like i am in the room is unmatched (i fucking love did you know there is a tunnel under ocean blvd)
That’s sooo interesting that you say Notes doesn’t have that same emotional pull cuz, to me, it’s their most emotional album. Like, yeah, it goes in a thousand different directions. And maybe that’s why it doesn’t get as much love (so sad; I love that album) but, in my mind, it’s emotionally raw and INTENSE that sometimes it’s too overwhelming.
And I totalllyyy agree with iliwys maybe ending on Paris. I personally have to skip Nana. Not cuz it’s a bad song but because it’s TOO GOOD. It reminds me of my late grandpa. We were super close when he died and I wasn’t able to travel to be at his funeral and it kills me. I do NOT listen to Nana all the way through, haha. I’ll just cry forever if I do.
But…idk. I guess part of why I think BFIAFL is their best is because it’s sooo precise and concise. It does/says as much as their other albums but with less words/less songs. I think it’s a testament to Matty’s growth as a songwriter that he can pack sooo much in his lyrics. And to George’s work that he’s pulled off songs like About You and IILWY. then there’s the Jack element that you mention. The fact that he encouraged the guys to play live in the studio, I think, is part of why it all feels tactile and like you’re present in the room. It’s so visceral! Love Jack!! So, I feel like, the album delivers one punch after the other with the track list. There are mo skips or filler songs. It’s just one mind-blowing experience after the other.
But that’s the beauty of music. It’s so subjective and up to the listener!! It’s so interesting to see that fans love and enjoy the same kinds of music but for very different reasons!

on losing lyric and finding kei.
and i'm still on call with the boy i like, and i'll still find my way back to you. to your profile, (where it says you're my forest.) my lungs are on fire. you built flowers in my heart just to keep the ache in my ribs. the thorns hurt. the flowers, made no room for air. (i'd like for them to burn, to burn, to turn into smoke and ashes.) where is the forest fire. you still have my heart. i've built a garden for you, but don't you think it's cruel to make yourself the forest. i think i need my lighter, a stick of cigarette. i think i need to burn these feelings to the ground. walk away from the flames. instead, i still tend to the plants in the balcony and you're not home.
on kei.
there's this boy, whose voice sounds like honey, it's sweet, the kind that sticks to your head and leaves your throat dry. there's this boy whose calloused fingers plucks across the strings without a second thought, like he has the natural talent for it (it's an acquired skill, like any other else) i wondered, briefly, as i listened: does love come easily as this does for him? because i know the answer to it is no. loving me consisted of being pulled from slumber, loving me made it burn, made him see red, loving me was hot searing tears, stingy eyes, messy wrists, calloused hands, broken voices, apologetic whispers and guilt. see, god, there's this boy and he loves me. the kind of love that makes the light filter through the cracks. he loves me like he knows how to hold my hand for the split second he reaches into darkness. he could love me with his eyes closed. this boy, with such electricity flowing through his veins, he could touch me and i'll feel beautiful. enough to write about it, enough to accept i'm a few scribbles of lyrics in his music sheets. just enough to know that every conversation meant him paying attention partly to me and his art. he could make a song about this, he could mix me with paint. because that's what artists do: once they love you, they try to preserve you. there's this boy and i write poetry about him, he gives it back to me as sound. what was once words on a paper, he gave it a voice. because isn't that what every lover wants to be? to felt heard. there's this boy and he's golden, but my love for him is out in the open and i'm afraid, i'm afraid, if i leave it for long as the world finally takes notice of it, it'll spoil like rotten milk. but it spills and it spills and it, spills
on losing kei and finding myself.
i may have been a bad boyfriend, but i'm not a monster. / no, you're right. i've met real merciless individuals since we've split up. this world breeds hate but kindness grows just as wild. i'll always be thankful you've loved me. and i never expected to cry again over you, but i am happy you're healthy and taking care of yourself. i don't need to look after you from afar, anymore. maybe i'm just realizing i'm missing out on you. your kind eyes, your gentleness. it's unmatched. i won't dare to seek that out on anyone, anymore. bur if there's anything i'm grateful for — it's our paths colliding. minahal mo ko'ng tapat. mistakes were made, hurt has happened— but everything bloomed out of love. the gentleness in your eyes never lied, the softness of your voice has always reached me. i have loved you.

Yesterday I was listening to Harry’s music for the first time in a while and I never care about his lyrics much, but the vibe of his songs (for me personally) is unmatched by the current big artists. Harry’s music and overall image and vibe has a lot of like 60s-80s influences, but I don’t think there’s any big artist that brings anything similar to the table and I don’t think he gets enough credit for that. I know people like to hate on watermelon sugar because it was “overplayed” but I think it wasn’t played enough! I feel like I’m transported to a summer vacation in Italy in the 70s when I listen to Harry
I mean I agree it’s very late 60s to early 80s - that to me is kind of the main criticism one can make of him (same as what I just said about Maisie). I feel like he’s HEAVILY influenced by the artists he likes (Bowie, Fleetwood Mac, Rolling Stones, I know he LOVES Harry Nilsson and you can hear that on Watermelon Sugar actually like that’s got Nilsson vibes to me lol, The Beatles’ weirder shit and Wings, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, a bit of Queen, Prince in terms of his style tbh and musically too a bit etc). I feel like I can hear and see those influences in his work very often. The counter argument would be yours - that no one else is really doing this rn - and that it’s not like Maisie’s in that he’s inspired by a HUGE range of stuff that was big over the period of like 2 and a half decades and sort of marries the ideas he likes best from the stuff he listens to or has heard and repackages it. I also think that’s where a lot of the imposter syndrome might stem from though, because I think he recognizes that he’s inspired by things he’s heard and doesn’t just wake up with musical inspo in his bone marrow. And to his credit, he talks about his inspirations a lot. Like off the top of my head, I remember he said Canyon Moon was inspired by Crosby Stills Nash and Young (which one can hear) and like fair enough 🤷🏻‍♀️ It’s not like he ripped them off but he def was heavily inspired, and he told us as much.

The Lyrical Sharpshooter: Why Eminem Remains the King of Savage Rap
Tumblr media
Image: Instagram / @eminem Eminem. The name itself conjures up images of lightning-fast rap battles, razor-sharp wit, and lyrics that can pierce through even the thickest skin. In a genre overflowing with braggadocio and boasts, Eminem stands out as the undisputed king of savage rap. But what exactly makes him so ruthless with his rhymes? Here's a deep dive into the factors that solidify Eminem's reign as the most savage rapper in the game. Firstly, Eminem's savagery stems from a potent concoction of personal experiences and raw talent. His upbringing in poverty, tumultuous relationship with his mother, and struggles with addiction fueled a fire within him that translates into his music. He doesn't shy away from delving into these dark experiences, using them as potent ammunition for his lyrical attacks. This authenticity resonates with listeners, making his savagery feel real, not manufactured. Secondly, Eminem's technical prowess is unmatched. His wordplay is intricate, his metaphors are layered, and his rhyme schemes are complex. He can bend words and twist syllables to deliver a diss track with surgical precision. This technical mastery allows him to not only craft brutal insults but also ensure they land perfectly, leaving his opponents reeling. Thirdly, Eminem doesn't discriminate. No target is too sacred, no topic off-limits. From his mother ("Cleanin' Out My Closet") to his fellow rappers ("Killshot"), Eminem takes aim with ruthless efficiency. This willingness to go after anyone and everyone, regardless of reputation, adds a layer of unpredictability and keeps listeners on the edge of their seats. However, Eminem's savagery transcends mere diss tracks. He injects it into his storytelling, making his characters and narratives come alive with a raw, unfiltered edge. Songs like "Stan" and "Kim" delve into the dark underbelly of obsession and relationships, showcasing Eminem's ability to use his savagery to explore complex social issues. Of course, Eminem's brand of savagery isn't without controversy. His lyrics can be offensive, his humor dark, and his targets sometimes undeserving. But within the realm of rap battles and diss tracks, there's an undeniable respect for the art of lyrical warfare. Eminem's opponents know the game, and his victories are often acknowledged as triumphs of skill and wit. Furthermore, Eminem's savagery isn't always malicious. He uses it for social commentary, criticizing homophobia ("Love the Way You Lie") and hypocrisy ("White America"). He can even turn his savagery inward, using it for self-deprecating humor or brutally honest introspection ("Cleaning Out My Closet"). Ultimately, Eminem's claim to the "most savage" throne isn't solely based on shock value. It's a combination of factors – his lived experiences, his technical mastery, his lyrical fearlessness, and his ability to utilize savagery for both entertainment and social commentary. He has redefined the art of diss tracks, pushing the boundaries of what's considered acceptable while captivating audiences with his audacious rhymes. Love him or hate him, there's no denying Eminem's reign as the king of savage rap. But the conversation doesn't end here. While Eminem sits comfortably on his savage rap throne, the genre constantly evolves. Will a new lyrical assassin emerge, wielding words with even more venom? Only time will tell. However, one thing is certain: Eminem's legacy as the undisputed king of savage rap is secure, a testament to his raw talent, unapologetic honesty, and the power of words unleashed. CD of the week: Jeff Buckley
Date: May 10, 1998
From: The Observer (London, England)
Publisher: Guardian News & Media
Byline: SAM TAYLOR
Jeff Buckley Sketches (for My Sweetheart, The Drunk) (Columbia 488661) To be or not to be a rock star? As existential dilemmas go, it's perhaps not the most profound, but it tormented Jeff Buckley for the last two years of his brief life. Like Kurt Cobain, he was a sensitive soul who recoiled from the brute materialism and superficiality of the music industry. But, as Cobain found out, sensitivity sells.
When Buckley drowned, aged 30, in the Mississippi nearly a year ago, he was not really famous, but had a passionate cult following, and was constantly compared to his father, the erratically brilliant Sixties singer, Tim Buckley, who also died young. He felt pressured by the expectations surrounding the album he was working on, the follow-up to his 1994 debut Grace, and was drinking way too much.He had already spent several months in New York, recording songs with Tom Verlaine, but he was unhappy with the results. But he had begun work on a new batch of songs in Memphis, and was excited about his progress. Some of his friends and band members now claim Buckley intended burning the Verlaine tapes, and that the release of this double CD is thus a betrayal of his wishes.
Though it's easy to sympathise with that view, once you hear the first of these CDs, comprising 10 songs from the New York sessions, you will realise why Mary Guibert, Buckley's mother, was so keen that the songs be heard. You will also realise why Buckley, so repulsed by MTV and the prospect of fame, hated them. Two songs in particular a heartbreakingly sweet soul ballad called 'Everybody Here Wants You' and a raunchy, funny cover of Audrey Clark's 'Yard of Blonde Girls' sound like surefire hit singles.
The first CD is not uniformly brilliant. Buckley's weakness for bombast and overcomplication surfaces on 'Vancouver' and 'The Sky is a Landfill', and the production is perhaps a little too crystalline, though the quieter songs 'Opened Once', 'You & I' are deliberately sparse in order to showcase Buckley's gorgeous, somersaulting voice. It would have been a deeply impressive and affecting album.
The second CD, mostly comprising four-track demos recorded near the end in Memphis, reflects the turmoil in Buckley's head at this time. It also reflects a self-protective desire to veer away from the polished commercialism of the New York songs. It is murky, disjointed, at times wildly discordant and almost unlistenable. The lyrics scream of paranoia and enslavement. There is a cover of Genesis's sprawling prog epic, 'Back in NYC', and a squall of white noise called 'Murder Suicide Meteor Slave', both of which sound like B-sides at best.
Yet Buckley was very proud of what he was working on, and beneath the boiling fury, you can hear the stirrings of a looser, darker melodicism. And there is always that voice: whether caterwauling with lust or crying out in pain, it remains genuinely breathtaking, unmatched this decade for its range and emotional power.
If you've never heard Jeff Buckley before, you are probably better off listening to Grace as a starting point. But anyone who loved that album and it was the sort of album you either loved or hated should certainly hear Sketches. . . Unfinished and uneven it may be, but it is still light years ahead of almost everything else that will be released this year. As a dead rock icon Buckley will never eclipse Kurt Cobain, but as a musical talent he was, I think, possibly even greater. The tragedy is that we will never know for sure.

On my yapping era again I will shut up soon but like. Taylor swift’s performances are heavily inspired by artists like prince and MJ, the sequins and dancing and whatever else she does. But a lot of her fans can maybe name 1 prince song and 3 MJ songs. Dolly Parton seems to be who Taylor wants to be, a woman beat down by her circumstances rising to fame against the odds. But Dolly Parton…actually had a hard life, and most of her songs are a million times more complex and musically satisfying than swifts. Not to mention she is almost universally loved, even people who HATE country music will be like “oh dolly’s the exception” if you mention her. Bob Dylan was probably the worst musician and singer ever but his lyrical talent was UNMATCHED and you could argue it still is. Carol king writes a lot about heartbreak and men, but she again has musically interesting songs and an amazing vocal talent. And if you haven’t ever listened to any jazz you just don’t get to have music opinions honestly like genuinely jazz musicians have insane talent and teamwork and stamina and many of the music genres swift falls into was built on the legacy of jazz.
So many Taylor swift fans can’t even name the people who inspired her art let alone anything outside of that. And when all you have to compare Taylor swift to is like…idk Noah Kahn and a few other soft pop artists. yeah you’ll think she’s the greatest musician to walk to earth.
Anyway I just think every swiftie should be forced to listen to like. One album from bob dylan, prince, carol king, idk like any jazz artist (Paul Desmond if I got to pick), dolly parton, and the most obscure folk band from Tennessee possible before they make any statements on swifts musical or song writing abilities. The only reason they think she’s a master artist is because they don’t know what jazz is and have never even heard of a woman songwriter other than swift.

Late Night ♡ woo wonjae x female reader
Tumblr media
warnings -> swearing
synopsis -> y/n works hard in her studio day and night and begins to worry her boyfriend who works right next door.
fluff and some suggestive shit.
also there’s a little bit of jay park x reader in here too
~♡~
4:25 am.
You let out a long sigh, slamming your computer shut after listening to your track. You had recently joined AOMG as their youngest member. You were a prodigy, having only been rapping for a year when Jay saw you performing at a small show just two years ago. No one in the company had a doubt in your skill, all of them praising you highly on the single you released after joining.
But you were a perfectionist. And you were determined to prove to everyone that your talent was undeniable. You were labeled as the hidden ace of AOMG by a magazine company after a special performance at one of Simon D’s concerts.
Your lyrical abilities and flow were unmatched by most artists in the game. You had a unique musical and physical style which caused you to have a large fan base, doubling in size when AOMG confirmed your relationship with Woo Wonjae, another artist under the label.
You were featured on his album, his fans becoming yours after hearing your talent paired with his.
But that only made you put more pressure on yourself.
You’ve locked yourself in your studio for days on end. Wanting to get your first full length album utterly perfect for your fans, the company, and yourself. You’ve gone days without sleeping or eating, earning the worry of your label mates.
Just three hours ago Jay was in your space lecturing you. He made sure to take care of every artist under him, checking up on them despite his busy schedule. While having two companies and multiple rappers and vocalists under his labels, you were the one he was always most worried about.
“Y/N man,” He spoke to you casually in english. “I love your drive and effort, but you need to go home sometime tonight.”
You frowned, pausing your song you had played. “But Jay,” You rolled up your sleeves and exposed your tattooed arms. “I’m just trying-“
“I know what you’re trying to do.” Jay cut you off, his tone a little harsh. He hated talking to you like that, but it’s what you needed. “Your friends? They snitch on you. Especially your little boy next door,” He referred to Wonjae, who was probably working away in his studio as well.
Since your boyfriend was also an artist, he understood your mindset and left you alone due to your request. Of course you guys still talked and spent time together, yet it was minimal during this time.
“I should not have to hear that you’re in here day and night. I gave you the full fucking luxury studio as a gift, thinking you’d take care of yourself. But youre basically living here. The shower is for occasional late nights y/n,” Jay furrowed his eyebrows at you, standing up and sighing. “I’ll force you to move to a smaller one, don’t think I wont.”
Jay opened his arms for you to stand up and hug him, which you did. He held you tightly, resting his head on yours and sighing again. “You stress me out. I better hear that you’ve gone home by tomorrow afternoon.” He says sternly, pulling away and looking at you.
“And you better fucking eat babe,” He always spoke to you in a friendly manner but it was never flirty. He genuinely cared for you and the other artists. And it was normal for you both to use babe in a casual manner. Despite his lecturing and the wide age gap, you both were very good friends.
“I will,” You smiled at him, pulling your phone out to find something to order.
He exits your studio and you sigh, sitting down on the couch you added. Your studio felt more like home than your apartment. You decorated it as such, even adding a cat tower for when you have your feline roomie with you, which is usually always because you don’t like leaving the ginger cat alone all the time.
After he left you went back to working diligently. You had finished three songs in the five months you’ve been working on the album. You didn’t have an actual deadline but you knew your fans were waiting. You had several features you wanted on this album as well. Hoody has been waiting for you to finish your part of this song so she can add her magical vocals to it. But you hadn’t quite found what you were missing from it.
Your phone lit up, a message from Jay on it. ‘I have your location ma’am’ The message read, earning a laugh from you.
‘lol’ you respond, setting your phone back down. You look at your lock screen and smile. It’s a picture of you and Woo that a fan took of you both performing on stage together. It was the first time you performed with him after it being confirmed you both were dating. In the picture you’re rapping to the crowd, squatted down a little and Wonjae is looking at you with the happiest look plastered on his face.
At the thought of your lover you decide it’s time to take a break. You get up and stretch, hearing your back pop, slipping back on your slides. You tend to stay in your socks while working, it’s more comfortable to you.
You walk out the studio and next door, smiling as you read your boyfriends name on the door. You walk in without knocking, knowing he never minds.
He’s in the booth, rapping his verse to Kunst, who looks at you with tired eyes. You stand behind his chair, resting your hands on his shoulders and giving them a slight squeeze while listening to your boyfriend.
You could listen to him rap all day. His deep voice was so beautiful in your ears. “Are you about to leave?” Kunst asks you. “Jay told us to make sure you leave.”
You shake your head. “Not yet.” You say, earning a sigh from the taller male.
Wonjae exits the booth, his eyes lighting up when he sees you. “Ahh finally taking a break mm?” His arms wrap around your shoulders and pull you close. You inhale his scent, closing your eyes in comfort. He doesn’t let you go, and holds you while talking to his friend.
“Imma head out, you did good.” Kunst gets his things together and pats you on the head before wishing you both farewell and leaving.
Wonjae kisses the top of your head and yawns. “Let’s eat baby,” He says softly. You nod and slide your hands under his shirt and run your fingers along his back, his favorite thing.
“I missed you,” You say into his chest, still with your eyes closed. He chuckles, his hand resting on the back of your neck while his fingers play with the few pieces of hair that fall from your bun.
“I missed you too, you been busy huh?” He pulls away slightly to look down at you. You meet his eyes and give him a tired smile which he returns.
“Yea you could say that.” He laughs at your answer which is music to your ears.
Now having been in his arms you don’t want to return to your studio for the day. You really did miss him but work is very important to you.
Wonjae sits down in the chair his friend was occupying previously and pulls you into his lap. Your legs hang over one arm while your back rests against the other. You lean into him, his arms sliding around you once more and pulling you closer. You tuck your head into his neck and relax to the sound of his deep breaths.
“It’s almost 6 am,” Wonjae hums, his fingers tracing the outlines of the tattoos on your exposed arm. “I’m tired.” He sighs. You know he’s hinting that you guys should leave, especially after Jay having said something.
“Me too,” You admit, placing a gentle kiss on his jaw and yawning. “Let’s go.” You add, reluctantly leaving his lap.
He stares at you a little shocked. “You’re finally listening huh? I’m impressed.” He stands up as well, laughing when you hit his arm.
“Go get your things jagi,” He waves you off.
After getting your things and your kitty, you lock up your studio and meet by his while he locks up as well. He smiles at you, sliding his bag on his shoulders and wrapping his arm around your shoulders while you both make your way to the parking garage.
“Let’s go get some early food and then go to my place yea?” Wonjae offers, guiding you to his car. “Ron can come with us and play with my babies,” He refers to your cat that you named after the ginger wizard.
You nod, getting in the passenger seat in his car and setting Ron on your lap. You inhale the comforting smell of his car, not having been in his car nor outside for a week now.
Wonjae drives down the empty road to a restaurant near his apartment that’s open early on weekdays. His hand rests just above your knee, his index finger reaching out to pet the cat on your lap. “No work talk today.” He says, looking at you as he parks. “You’re taking a break.” You smile, loving how he already knows how you are.
After you fill your stomachs, you’re on the way to his home. Even more tired now that you’ve ate. Once parked, he grabs his bag as well as yours and leads you into the building and up to his apartment. Unlocking the door, he rests his hand on your back to usher you in where you set Ron down while slipping your feet out of your shoes.
Ron immediately mingles with Wonjae’s three cats who make their way over to the two of you, the four of them following you to Wonjae’s room.
“Do you want to shower with me?” Wonjae asks softly, cupping your cheek into his hand and rubbing the pad of his thumb along the bone. You lean into his touch, kissing his palm. “Yes please.”
“Okay, I’ll go start it.” He rushes to the bathroom and you hear the water being started. You undress yourself, throwing the clothes in the basket he has in the corner of his room. Once you’re completely stripped you push open the bathroom door where you see Wonjae beginning to take off his clothes as well.
After sliding off his shirt he looks at you and smirks. “Mmm,” He hums, pulling you closer to him by your hips. “I missed looking at this.” He leans down and places a kiss on your neck, licking a stripe to your ear and flicking your lobe with the tip of his tongue. It sends a shiver down your spine, your eyes closing in bliss.
He knows your body like the back of his hand, he cherishes every piece of you. He looks at you, smiling. “I’ll fuck you later,” He kisses your lips, lingering for a moment before pulling away.
He finishes undressing and you both get into the shower. He hugs you under the warm water much like he did while you were in his studio but this time it’s much more intimate due to the skin to skin contact. Your breasts press against him, head tucked into his neck. The warm water cascades down your body, causing you to grow tired.
After you both wash up, you find yourself clad in his hoodie and sweats that are just a little big. Wonjae waits for you on the bed, the four cats finding their way to join him. He lays on his back, scrolling through his phone.
You crawl into the bed, snuggling into his side with your head resting on his shoulder. He immediately puts his phone down and rolls over on his side to wrap his arms around you too pull you closer. You feel him breathing in your scent, his legs pushing to get in between yours.
“Jay isn’t letting you back into the studio until tomorrow and I’m forcing you to lay with me all day .” Wonjae mumbles.
You laugh a little, feeling grateful to have such caring people in your life. “Your album can wait for a day. I’ve missed you.” He adds, pulling you even closer to him.
You both fall silent, your eyes closing. You’ve never felt more content and comfortable than how you do now. You feel one of the cats snuggle into your back and purr against you.
“Wonjae,” You began, earning a hum from the half asleep man. “I love you,”
His hand slides under your shirt and gently scratches your back. “I love you.” He says, resting his hand on the small of your back.
You find yourself slowly falling asleep. You know you’re going to be asleep for the whole day and you’re honestly looking forward to it. Especially with Wonjae and the cats.
He’s right, your album can wait.

Just curious (and sorry if you've been asked this before) but what are your thoughts on the boys and their music? I don't mean personal opinion of their public images or anything (I realize if you talk shit about Harry or Louis you'll get a billion 14 year old anon fangirls who will try to murder you), I mean strictly their music.
Personally, for me, best to worst is probably Zayn at 1st (his music is heaven turned into songs) and Niall second (he's not my fav of the boys vocally, but his music has been pretty consistently good.), Liam third (which is a shame because he's my favorite voice out of the boys but the only songs of his I've really liked have been his one off singles. I didn't care much for LP1 at all, though I admit a big part of that is that he wrote basically none of the songs on it and he himself pretty much seemed like he didn't want to be associated with it either) then Lou (I just don't really care for his voice but I love his songs) and then probably Harry (his new single put me to sleep and his voice is...well I'd rather not say, don't want you to get anon hate and also this ask would be much longer than it already is lol)
Again, everyone has their own opinions and I'm not trying to start flame wars or anything, I'm just curious is all.
Got this before bed last night and it's such a complex answer that I had to wait to answer it this morning (sorry!)
So basically I agree with your placement, but I want to explain my reasons behind it. And I'm not scared of haters coming at me, they always come at me and I just block them. They're the ones wasting their time since I don't care and I won't change my opinion.
Zayn - hell yeah! The songs and the lyrics are iconic. That man released three albums and all are so good and mature. Zayn is such a talented artist and the sad thing to me is that we don't have a chance to see him perform it live. The raw talent is all there! And his inspiration for songs and his own experiences with life are amazing. Even the unreleased stuff we got a chance to listen about religion, the hate he got, etc!! It's truly an inspiration! How people don't give him all the awards is something I don't understand!!!
Niall - surprisingly to me he has been the more consistent of all of them with the music he releases. He has come along way with his voice and I feel like now he is super comfortable. I watched him live here in Portugal and it was a blast!!! He used to hide behind the guitar, but now he is a complete artist. I'm super curious for his 3rd album since he didn't get all the recognition he deserved for HW.
Liam - sadly he is in this place and it really hurts me! Liam is clearly the most talented performer and his vocals are unmatched, out of this world especially live! It has been a deep shame that he hasn't been given the opportunity to blossom into the musician we all know he is. His team and label don't help of course, but it truly baffles me how they aren't using his talent as a musician and lyricist to make amazing songs. Who cares if it's a trend?! Just make it from the heart. LP1 has a few promising songs, but there is no narrative or a line to follow. So the message gets lost with too many concepts thrown together.
Louis - not because of his voice, btw. He has been evolving a lot and especially in getting comfortable on stage alone. I saw him live in Spain on one of his first solo shows and I see a lot of progress from him right now. We all know he is a really good lyricist and I feel like he found his place in pop-rock. It's his jam and the space where he can make so much more! I really liked his album as a whole, so I'm curious to see what he presents next.
Harry - personally, most overrated artist right now. The things he does with his voice (screaming and off key notes) really scare me because one day that boy won't have a voice. I think he throws a good performance since he is an entertainer, but he really needs to practice those vocals more. Personally, his songs don't call to me and I don't think he is revolutionizing the music industry since what he is presenting isn't something new. I honestly haven't seen or listened to his new song and I don't intend to activelly go look for it. Glad people are enjoying it, good for them and for him!
Hope this answered your ask about it :)
