Hi nonnie, oh my god I haven’t thought about this in forever! And it’s in my header! LOL.

In fact both are direct quotes from speeches that I found held a significance only us fans would understand. I admired their honesty (and the little extra meaning that came with it) in those moments. And frankly it meant a lot to me.

Back in 2022, during LTWT in Philadelphia (when crowds were still packed with pride flags), Louis thanked us for being the best fans in the world who would make him “feel fucking confident and fucking protected in this environment”:

The other time, in 2022 during LOT in Manchester, Harry thanked us fans “for listening, for accepting, for knowing”.

TOUR!!

AAAAAHHH We are actually starting our next tour on Monday, how did it get here so so fast???? I am so excited to meet so many cool people and travel across the UK again, and to new cities I've never been too!! Like Edinburgh, Newcastle and Bristol!!! Where we get to end it with a massive Folk Punk Festival! If you want to come you should definitely get tickets and as they are selling out for some venues, and it would be so amazing to see y'all there!! Working with different musicians and meeting the people who have supported us and made all of this possible is honestly the best part of touring, and y'all make it so special and such a memorable time! We are so honoured for all the reblogs and reposts on Tumblr and people sharing our stuff, it means the world every time we see it as we get closer to making full time music a reality, you are all the loveliest kindest people and we appreciate everything you've done for us to make this all happen! I really can't wait to hit the road (on a 6 hour coach ride at 1am) to get all of this started!! We'll hopefully see you there!! Massive massive love for all of you!

JOHN MAHER: "When I was 16 I had a Debbie Harry poster on my bedroom door. Two years later, we had our arms around each other!

Sharing those pics of Debbie and me hugging each other generated quite a reaction. I still find it hard to believe it actually happened. I was so excited when I heard we secured those European support slots with Blondie! I was eighteen. I’d never been outside the UK before.  The night before the first show, I was like a kid at Christmas. Despite the hours of travelling, I was absolutely wide awake when we arrived in Amsterdam. I remember going for a beer with our manager Richard Boon and tour manager Pete Monks. We sat outdoors, drinking foreign lager on a warm summer night. I was literally giddy with excitement. Richard and Pete were laughing at me. I asked them what was wrong. Richard told me I was experiencing "culture shock." I didn’t know what he meant. I was high on the whole experience of being somewhere other than Manchester, drinking lager outdoors in an exotic European city, knowing I would meet Debbie Harry and Clem Burke in less than 24 hours!"
