If there was ever a rhythm game for Kirby (that is not Drum Dash), what direction do you think it'll take? I think a lot of us would enjoy breaking our fingers playing a super-hard chart of a boss medley or something. It would definitely be fun if all of the infamous Kirby tracks were included in the game!

(Although, for something more indulgent, maybe they'll conjure up a gacha-type rhythm game with those collectible cards, sorta like the official twitter art?)

This post made me realize my only go-to rhythm games are Bust a Groove (...1998...), Guitar Hero, Project Diva, and the Hypnosis Mic rhythm game. I dabbled in a few more here and there but I have no idea where the genre is as a whole. ^^; (This did encourage me to watch a breakdown of the Persona Dancing All Night series though!)

My take is that a Kirby rhythm game would be a huge amount of fun! With an amazing library of songs to remix (and some that would provide absolutely killer note charts) I can imagine practice sessions hammering away at multi-note combos to get that long-awaited perfect would be a great time! Being Kirby, it would probably start out as easy as possible for newcomers to the genre, but I imagine once you unlock the harder difficulties, there'll be no holding back!

And I could definitely be made to simp for a game that offered me glittery Kirby images as rewards - as long as there was a healthy amount of newly drawn art in there to collect!

(I often hope we'll see a resurrection of the Twitter art in some form or another. Getting semi-regular peeks into Dream Land was a blast!)

Other wish list items: I want vocal remixes! I think most people have some familiarity with "The Apple Juice Song" thanks to Oniri Boy's very cute animation of it, but the Kirby Memorial Arrangements album (where that song comes from) also has a tearjerking vocal arrangement of Sectonia's theme and a 70s anime opening-esque version of Meta Knight's theme that I unabashedly love!! So my Kirby "Dream Band" game would definitely include vocal remixes!

And... I want to be able to dress up the characters - yes, characters! I don't want "just" a rhythm game, I want it to be a dancing game! Seeing Persona Dancing All Night solidified this desire for me. I want to have a variety of Dream Land residents in a dance off, dancing in a variety of 3D rendered backgrounds, dressed in fun, flashy fashions! ("What's that? Half of them don't have legs? Upper body-heavy dance styles are totally a thing though!" ...Plus, not having feet didn't stop all those Magolor MMD video creators!) Star Allies proved to us that everyone can in some form do "The Kirby Dance" so I so no reason a dance game should be off limits for this world!

...Ahhh, darn it, anon! You have put the dream of a Kirby dance game with boatloads of characters, stylish graphics, loads of customization options, and amazing vocal remixes in my head and I don't know if we'll ever truly get that now! Nooooooooooo...!

(sorry if this post is super long. When not being this active, I thought it would not be appropriate just to say “hi” and leave. I talk a lot about myself btw. I’m pretty much venting)

Hello everyone! It’s been a long time! :) 

So, honestly, I wanted to make this post here to just update things about this blog and a bit about me as well. 

You can probably guess why I’m back all of the sudden. A uh... certain application was predicted to shut down soon, and as someone who uses that application as their main one, I figured that I come back here. But the issue with this blog is wether I want to continue to upload on here. 

My journey with MMD has been a super long one (10+ years) and even to this day, I feel like it’s something that I can never move on from. I think it’s just the dedication that I put into learning the program, connecting in the community and my general love for Vocaloid. But before I started “Wonderful MMD Pictures” and “Wonderful MMD Models”, and before I was even Reon/Reon046, I was an artist first (TheMangaka1234). When I discovered MMD, I didn’t think it would take over my life like it did. But it became super important to me to the point that my artist journey halted. My dA page that was for my art was taken over by my MMD art and I lost focus. This was when I was in early highschool (I also changed my name to Reon046). Again, I’ve been doing MMD for so long that, at some point, people were recognizing me. My little kid brain really liked the attention. It was the people calling me “senpai” or saying that it’s an “honor” to have followed them that was the icing on the cake. In that wave, I created these 2 blogs to showcase models and pictures that I love and want to help boost. 

Also, I’m not going to sweep this under the rug, but I also have partaken in sharing mmd model download links which were public because, again, I just wanted to share cool models that I found.  I always made sure that the way that I was sharing the links was not directly (ex. linking the dA page instead of the direct mediafire link) I made sure that the rules of the model was ok with that type of distrubution. So not only was I trying to run 2 blogs, I was uploading to my dA, like, 4 times a day, almost everyday. I’m not saying that was hard work or whatever, but because of that type of scheduling, I felt like people were expecting me to be there with a model dl everyday. Again, not hard work but I felt there was pressure. Looking back, it was defiantly taking it too seriously. I was treating it like it was a 9/5 lol. But in the midst of all this, there were some cases that people have contacted me to remove a “model dl” upload. At some point, my account got 1 strike. 

The one strike didn’t stop me from doing this, but eventually, I stopped sharing model dls and just wanted to focus on doing MMD art instead. Looking back at my dA account, it doesn’t look like I did a lot, but that’s how much those model dls took over everything. I’ve deleted all of them. I remember very slowly deleting all of them ‘cause you can only delete uploads one by one, and it took forever. Again, that’s how much I was doing it. I continued to do MMD art and still had fun, but the whole reason I started a dA account was not for MMD. I felt a sense of guilt. Like, I felt anger towards me for not working towards what I really wanted. I think the reason I kept doing MMD was the ease of it. I didn’t have to study anatomy or work on a peice for weeks to make something cool. If you’re also a depressed highschooler, being “known” in a community and the instant gratification of making content in less than a day is much more satisfying. But I wanted to do more. My ideas and concepts that I wanted to flesh out was something that MMD couldn’t do. I had to go back to doing art. 

Overtime, people that I followed started to upload less and I started to upload MMD stuff less too. I opened a brand new dA account to just focus on my art. I would upload MMD stuff here and there, but I felt like the writing was on the wall. If my peers are starting to leave, that may be my sign to leave or watch at the sidelines. Right now, I choose the latter. The most recent upload on my dA was in May of this year. As of writing this, I might make an MMD picture after I’m done lol. I just think that there is a new generation (raycast gen lol) that is taking over and I don’t have to be involved. I did my thing. (i’m in my early 20s now. My body hurts for no reason lol)

SO WHAT ABOUT THE BLOGS?!?!: To be honest, I thought that now I’m trying to use tumblr, I should start uploading here. Not regularly, but ya know, be active. But as you can see from what I have said above, I think that it is better to have these blogs as an archive. Some models, art and users no longer exist. So I think it is important to, at least, keep these blogs up

As for me, I go by Yana now! :) If you still wanna refer me as Reon still, I honestly don’t mind. I think that’s kinda cool! Im just the boring Synthesizer V concept artist now haha

"Kashika" Appreciation Post

Something weird happened lately.

As some of you might know, I'm a Project Sekai player. And lately, VBS got a new event song, called "Kashika", or "Suspended Animation". It made a great impression on me and I think it's my new fav VBS event song. Like, it was very delicate, but had so much power at the same time! And as an MMD creator, I love this MV animation-wise - I think it really shows how creative the team has gotten over time. Like, words can't describe how much I love the Sekai version.

But then, the official version got released.

I've never been so speechless.

There is a difference between Sekai versions and official versions. When you have a Sekai version, you interpret the song through the characters. Basically, you can't fully appreciate ID Smile without knowing Mizuki's relationship issues and how they can't find a way to both stay true to themselves and live a good social life. You can't fully appreciate Bug without knowing that Mafuyu is constantly controlled by her mother, who's made her the emotionless and suffering being she is, and this is the "administraitor" she's singing about. And, just like that, your interpretation of Kashika relies on your knowledge of Akito's story.

The official - or "producer" - versions don't obey such rules. They're fully independent from their side of being "character songs". And that lets you perceive them differently.

What I like is that when both Ryo Haruka and Miku sing, it doesn't feel like they're just singing. It's not an MV for a song. It's a story. A story about loneliness, but wanting to live. And the music video also encapsulates it, to an unbelievable extent for a commissioned song.

Now, for lack of better terms, I'm gonna call the characters Rabbit Girl and Lizard Boy (I don't know if they have official names). They do seem to care for one another, but they both have problems that made them drift apart from each other. Lizard Boy seemed not to pay enough attention to the Rabbit Girl, and she didn't want to confront him about it, distancing herself instead. Lizard Boy has his ears covered, and Rabbit Girl doesn't open her eyes, except for when she casts the boy away. I think this is intentional, as it presents both of them as being unable to notice certain things, mainly about each other.

At this point I have to point out that I love is that the song is a duet of the producer and the Vocaloid. This isn't like the VBS cover. The characters do voice their feelings, through the singers, yet they don't have any, let's say, "tag" attached. I think this makes the song much stronger in meaning, as it can speak to anyone.

At this point in the video, the symbolism of the heart is very much present in the story that's being told. Both the characters seem to have a half of a heart-shaped gem. And this gem shows that they're incomplete without each other. In a similar way, I want to believe that all the other gems represent all the other people in those characters' life, mainly the ghost-like figures. Some of the gems are broken, some are pearl-like. All of them are important, all of them are formed into notes of a song. And yet one person sticks out. It's those two for each other, yet they drifted apart.

They both want to go back to each other. And when it happens, you really do feel the sheer power power of this song.

It's pitch black. The Rabbit Girl is at her lowest point. And at that moment, she realises that she made a mistake. That the reason for her rage was that she felt left out. And that she longs for connections with others. And so, she reaches out, letting the light shine through, opening herself to the Lizard Boy, literally, as he is let to go inside the giant body that the girl resides in.

The beat is there, they keep screaming, the chorus of so many people sings. I checked the wiki, there are 16 people singing at once, including VBS voice actors, various producers and Kagamine Len for God's sake. You can feel the sheer willpower of the Lizard Boy as he jumps in to see the girl.

And then, they connect, hug each other, and form a heart, an anatomically correct heart for the body to have.

They have been designed in such a way so that when they hug, they form the shape of a human heart. Which is not a cartoonish heart that's the symbol of love, not the one that was present throughout the whole video. It's a realistic one, one that gives life to the body.

The whole song was about loneliness. And about desire to live, even when you feel like you shouldn't. About wanting to move your heart.

They connected, and they made the heart beat.

So, you can say, connections make you truly live.

I'm a very pathetic human being, I tend to cry a lot.

Streamer!Genshin celebrating Character!(Y/n)'s birthday

A/n: I have fallen in love with the streamer au as it inspired me to take up on doing some myself! In celebration of my birthday today I thought I'd do something along those lines.

Streamer!Childe, Venti, Bennett, & Albedo celebrating Character!(Y/n)'s birthday, enjoy~

Childe:

He’s been waiting for this day as he’s marked it on his calendar and even a countdown clock whenever he streamed

This man goes all out for the occasion; his studio is all decorated with party décor, his figurines all nicely set up along with the plushies of your character in the background (his biggest plushie of you has a party hat), & he got a cake. Literally his stream for the day will be a birthday party dedicated to you

He has the goofiest smile on his face when getting your specialty dish from the mail, probs would cook up more before doing anything

As this man has a set of goals: he’s going to go farming the perfect artifacts (if he didn’t have them already), if he didn’t already have a fully refined and perfect weapon for you he’s going wishing, and if for some ungodly reason he didn’t managed to raise your constellation yet he’s doing it now (whether your banner is still going or just happens to be a rerun) he’s once again waling for you

Speaking of your constellation, it’s tattooed on his wrist (right below his palm) now and he even shows off the art piece he got commissioned of the two of you together to commemorate the day of your “birth”

Albedo:

He’s been preparing sketches for this very day; the day’s stream is going to be much more laid back than the usual chaos that is when he and Klee play together. It’s pretty much a mix of him doing art, playing Genshin, and even maybe a party game or two with Klee

The two of them made a small cake as of course it wouldn’t be complete without a small drawing of you that he’s done on edible paper

If he happens to have mail that’s from his viewers he’ll take the time to open those, he’s a happy bean when he sees that someone made him the signature jacket that you wore. Speaking honestly he’ll probably live in that for the rest of his life

If he hadn’t already gotten all the artifacts that were perfection and the weapon that best suited you he was going farming and Klee was tagging along for the adventure (she’ll play on the iPad so she could be in the same room, also it’s easier for her)

He’ll also go around with your character and take aesthetic pictures in the game while Klee would want to make Genshin tiktoks

Bennett:

He is so excited that it’s your birthday, the pride and joy of his team that he just adores! Super eager to get your specialty dish and definitely cooks more (can never have too many)

He has his favorite plushie of you right beside him as he plays for his regular viewers

Not the best when it comes to farming but thankfully he has the help of Fischl and Razor with domains, he’s trying to make you the best sub dps/support

He baked a cake during his stream as surely he can’t mess up with the help of his wonderful viewers… At least it was edible in the end

The best part of it all is that he gets to wear his new sweater that had the sleeves as one color while the rest was another color, your element on the front in the upper left, and on the back it says “Proud (y/n) Main” in white

Venti:

He didn’t plan anything too big, but he certainly wanted to do something special since it was your birthday. So he had a few songs he had written about you and watched a couple of edited and mmd videos his viewers sent in

Watching videos definitely turned into a drinking game: take a drink whenever (y/n) pops up, Venti drinks every time he gushes over them. Whoever submitted the mmd of you and that geo archon together wasn’t that amusing; yes he respects everyone's ships, but (y/n) is his baby. With an unamused expression *insert that one Diluc expression here* looks at the camera and says “I just want to talk”

He gets to showcase the iconic instrument you use that he got custom made as he’ll play your theme. If he plays it in game he’s going to random peoples worlds to play your theme maybe troll them a bit before leaving

If he hadn’t don’t your story quest already he’ll probably play through that and quite honestly he wasn’t ready for the feels train as he cried a little or at least pouted a lot

If your banner was still going on or it’s the rerun he’s going to do everything he can in order to level up your constellation and maybe even go try for your weapon if he hasn’t gotten it already. He is a strong believer in (y/n) supremacy, he is the leader of that group

PiER -Allegro- Review

Hi again. This post will be a bit more minimal because I really just wanted to talk about this UTAU! She’s very new and I only came across her by chance. Her creator is from Mexico, and I rarely get to look at UTAUs from that region.

PiER has an official site on Wix. Here is a direct link to her download, hosted on Google Drive. The voicebank is 673 MB when fully unzipped and has fully generated frq files.

First Impressions

PiER has a lovely deep and mature voice with a Hispanic accent. Initially, opening her folder and seeing 12 pitches made this review seem daunting, which is why I’m making it short. A fun fact about her design I only noticed today is that her legs end at her knees and aren’t physically connected to her dark purple colored calves/boots. That feature is carried over into her MMD model too!

Configuration

PiER was recorded at F#3, A3, D#4, F#4, A4, and C5. She also includes a Soft append for every pitch stated beforehand. The only notable extras she has are end breaths. Her reclist is overall short and she has less than 1000 lines of oto for each pitch. The recordings were recorded at a very fast BPM and are generally consistent speed wise.

Overall, her tone is powerful, but the soft append helps to cover a bit more ground. I wish there had been noise removal applied, because sometimes the frqs and background noise really mess up results. I also wouldn’t recommend using resampler outside of her recommended ones for this reason.

Her oto generally follows a 1:3 ratio for preutterance/overlap but the numbers are 86:260, which I can’t say I’ve ever seen before. They work fine though, especially since her recordings are so fast. The only weird thing is that some of the - CV otos cut off way too much of the actual sound. There’s usually either too much or too little space put in front.

Her “da” is pronounced too softly and almost sounds like “wa”. There are a few inconsistencies with how long the N consonants are too, with some being short and others being too long.

The Soft Append sounds best with fresamp and g-4 flags.

My recommended flags: F0Y99P90H0B20

My recommended resamplers: fresamp14, doppeltler

Final Thoughts

PiER has a beautiful, unique voice that will fulfill most users’ standard of quality. Did I mention this is also the voice actor’s FIRST UTAU voicebank?? At least listen to the covers made with her and you’ll see why I decided to talk about Pier ☆*: .｡. o(≧▽≦)o .｡.:*☆

a big open space is so appealing but its easier for things to feel homey and cluttered for less Li in a small house like this.. i think it was actually a freebie prefab from a sim i visited.. all i did to modify it was add a prim w/ a Source engine tile as well as a red curtain to simulate a more ornate entrance..nyways..LETS actually talk about my house

directly out of the bed room theres a living room area .. i dont know what else to say other than its very cozy.. and i have my own paintings framed on the wall.. because i like them.. that tv is from MARUSHIN.. its one of the best items i have, its just so detail it really outstands me.. if you sit on it it gives u options to eat potato chips or play console among other things.. i always appreciate when furniture has really unique features like that rlly enhance feeling of a virtual world rther thn purely use for a static photoshoot set

ive had a setup adjacent to thsi in almost every place i lived in in sl, the bunny monitor, bunny chair, old school tablet and old school pc have been present in almost every "house" i made.. only recently is this monitor red, the picture on that monitor is a real pic of me on my desktop w a recolored miku model (my own recolor) loaded up on mmd.. the other computer monitor has a fake desktop that was created for hlpt in place

on the left,theres the quadrupedal wafa plush and a plush vampirebunny rein made for newyears a couple years ago.. & on the right is another one of the plushies i made with a chaos emerald.. covering slightly a farojacube.. behind a 3d recreation of a real life paper craft bunny i made (out of breath..)

Oh My God They’re Real

I’ve been watching too much KnY MMD so now this exists. I’m so sorry.

“Okay Kyojuro we need you to grab one of the audience members and bring them on stage to dance.” Their manager said, looking at the notes she’d written on a clipboard.

“Yes! I like it! That will add a fantastic dramatic flair, they’ll love it!” Uzui smiled showing his teeth, turning his fuschia eyes to the literal flame boy of their group. Kyojuro sat with his arms folded across his chest in a proper but still casual manner, raising his dark eyebrows he lowered them in a frown to match the expression on his lips.

“Hmm, that sounds like it would be violating boundaries, I think it’s best we not.”

“Nah it’ll be fine, all of the people there love The Pillars, that’s the whole reason they’re coming. Besides, you’ll put them right back, it’s not like you’re gonna bite them, right?” Uzui prodded his friend while gently batting away his concern with his multi-painted fingers. He moved his hand out of the way of his make-up artist’s arm as they finished braiding the left side of his hair, the rest of his hair up in a high ponytail. Another one applying his trade-mark red circles.

“Very well, as long as it’s agreed we don’t swarm them once they’re on stage.” Kyojuro gave the manager an expectant look with his unflinching sun eyes.

“They’ll be like an extra who’s dancing with you, promise. Everyone else will keep their regular dance routines.” The manager promised, giving him a reassuring smile. “I’ve got to go check in with Sanemi and Muichiro and their make-up artists, the show starts in ten minutes but be at the center stage in five. Good luck boys.” She waved and walked out.

“What’s with you today?” Tengen asked tilting his head back and looking at Kyojuro.

“Mr. Uzui please keep your head up.” The make-up artist asked and he did so while keeping his eyes on Kyojuro.

“Hm?”

“Our favorite ray of sunshine was being a bit snippy just now.”

“Hm? No, I’m fine!” Kyojuro smiled with an innocent look.

Uzui gave Kyojuro a look. “Senjuro’s fever still hasn’t gone down, has it?” He grinned as the fiery man’s eyes darkened, “Aha I thought so! HEY DON’T TOUCH MY FLAMBOYANT HAIR!”

“Mr. Rengoku please! You’re gonna fall out of your chair!”

Cassy squealed for what had to have been the ten thousandth time, and the concert hadn’t even started yet. Although with how the lights were starting to move in the stadium Y/N guessed it was going to be kicking off soon. “Oh my gosh we’re so close to the stage we can touch them!”

“We can also trip them….” Y/N said thoughtfully.

“Y/N! Don’t you dare!” She pouted at them and glared.

“I won’t, but you didn’t bring me along as your accomplice to kidnap one of them did you Cassy?” Y/N asked giving their friend a suspicious look.

“No...but if one of them falls off the stage you’ll help me take them home right?” She smiled sweetly.

“Well I’m already here so sure.” Y/N replied teasingly. “Who’s your favorite again? Or are you in love with all of them?”

Cassy put her hand over her heart, “I am in love with all of them but Tengen Uzui is my bae.” She adjusted her silver plated headband with a grin and Y/N looked down at the pamphlet, “Oh the one with the tattoo on his eye.” They said picking out the one wearing the matching headband of their friend. “ Oh my god look at the blond’s eyebrows!” Y/N turned the photo to Cassy, “Are those real!? And how is he still in the band? He clearly pilfered everyone else’s eyebrows.”

“Of course they’re--” Cassy paused, “Oh my god what if they’re not.” Y/N laughed and Cassy slapped their arm, “Don’t do this to me right before the concert! And I dare you to ask him!”

“If I somehow by a weird coincidence get to meet….” They looked at the booklet and realized the names weren’t on it.

“Kyojuro Rengoku.” Cassy filled in for them.

“Kyojuro Rengoku, I will ask him.” And Y/N wasn’t going to admit it to Cassy but he was the most attractive one out of the group, eyebrows and all. The pair looked up as the lightning changed and the music grew louder as it flowed out of the speakers. The colored beams shifted to the center of the stage and the floor opened, another stage lifted up with Sanemi, Uzui, Rengoku and Muichiro and the concert started. Y/N smiled every once in a while hearing Cassy scream or jump in place, singing along with the songs that she of course knew word for word and occasionally yelling about her love for Uzui which Y/N wondered if he could even hear although they highly doubted it. They loved seeing their best friend so excited and pumped and honestly The Pillars were the only thing that would really hype her up that way. The music was a little too Pop-ish for Y/N’s tastes but they had to admit The Pillars knew how to dance, and the music was fitting for dancing to, unconsciously they started predicting the dance movements of the group, recognizing patterns and certain giveaways in the three men and boy’s movements. Y/N couldn’t help it, they’d studied dance all their life. Rengoku and Uzui were particularly good, and luckily for Cassy pretty close to where the two of them were standing. Y/N thought they were imagining it, but they could have sworn Rengoku kept looking at them.

Kyojuro was absolutely looking at them. He knew he could probably jump into the crowd and jump back out without getting kidnapped--he hoped--but he figured it was probably his best bet to grab someone as close to the front as possible. Y/N very quickly caught his eye and he was spared gawking by his muscle memory for the dances as well as having to sing his vocals. From the looks of it, and the easy comparison to the girl next to them, this person wasn’t one of their fans, and that realization pricked him for some odd reason. Their eyes, fully reflecting the lights so it was as though the night sky was trapped there---watched with practiced focus, Kyojuro smirked as he came to the quick realization that Y/N was decoding and following their dance moves. That was perfect, not only were they clearly not a fan but had some kind of knowledge about dance, so it minimized the risk in two major ways. Kyojuro danced over to the edge of the stage, kneeling down he held his hand out to Y/N and winked. Poor Y/N didn’t really get to respond properly because Cassy shoved them at Kyojuro, he quickly grabbed their hands and lifted them onto the stage so they didn’t slam their head into the stage, Kyojuro a little alarmed the girl had done that, had he been wrong in assuming the two were friends? But with the glare Y/N shot at the girl Kyojuro got confirmation he had been right. He winked at Y/N and resumed dancing, to his pleasure they hardly missed a literal beat and moved right along with him as though they’d rehearsed it. Kyojuro led them into a partnered dance and Y/N followed effortlessly, “Hey can I ask you something?” Y/N asked, their voice drowned out by the music, singing and chaos of the overall stadium, Kyojuro spun them and winked with a nod, not able to answer being right in the middle of a song, he caught them and dipped them back, bringing them back up, they reached a finger out and stroked his eyebrows, Kyojuro’s eyes widened and Y/N’s mouth dropped open, “Oh my god they’re real.” He almost dropped them.

I love random little details that Eren worships, he loves everything about her and he's got her body memorized down pat.

She scowls but otherwise complies, leaving herself in only a lacy white bra.

"I don't see how this is going to help you win." She tells him in annoyance as she crosses her arms over her chest to cover up. She doesn't care if Eren has seen her naked hundreds of times, she's not giving this kid the satisfaction of seeing her half naked right now.

Eren laughs before turning her in the direction of their bedroom and placing her in front of the mirror. He doesn't push his luck by trying to take her bra off, only lifts it up, to expose a very small beauty mark on the underside of her left breast.

Mikasa's mouth opens in shock as she observes the spot in the mirror, she hadn't known she'd had that. "Told you so."

"This isn't fair, you feel me up all the time, how could you not know about this. That's the only reason, you don't know my body better than I do!"

Eren gives her a mischievous grin before he pulls away, "Actually no, I know that because we trained in the military together, lived in barracks and I spent an optimal amount of time staring at you when you weren't looking Mikasa. And let's not forget who helped bandage up those broken ribs of yours."

She's a little shocked by this revelation, whenever Eren tells her about how he used to like her even before, shakes her a little, how unobservant was she? He never said much so she'd always assumed his taking care of her was a chore for him, but maybe he was just distracted with her body. Oh god, why were they so dumb??

He drops a kiss on her nose before leaving the room, calling behind his shoulder, "Get ready, you owe me dinner and if you're a good girl I'll think about paying for it like I originally wanted to."

I think about that one time Eren tells everyone he caught Mikasa doing situps on her broken/bruise ribs (I can't remember which. lol) and I'm like EREN U HAD TO HAVE BEEN CHECKING ON UR GIRL FOR THIS TO HAPPEN!! DID U JUST GO INTO HER ROOM, WHAT WERE U DOING U LITTLE FUCKER??

Disrespectful behavior towards Neru, Haku and their fans

This is a letter of complaint, venting and opening my heart to you guys about a subject that has to do with the blog and matters lots to me.

I usually don’t address the disrespect towards fanloids and fanloid fans i’ve been seeing from Vocaloid purists since the very day i made this blog, but today is a heavy topic day.

As you guys know Miku is no longer gonna be a Vocaloid. What that means to the relationship between Piapro and Neru/Haku i do not know. If they’re gonna appear in Mega39s, if Crypton will use their image rights ever again and so forth is to be seen. But what’s going on in the Vocaloid Wiki is something i have seen coming for a couple of years now.

The Vocaloid WIki has been on a Vocaloid purism purge for a good couple of years. It started with the deletion of some character pages that were confirmed not Vocaloid like Alys or Meaw and it’s extending now to Teto, Vocalina, Acme Iku, etc. The topic of deleting fanloids was brought up by the same person who was doing the purge at the time and was ignored. Now that Miku is abandoning Vocaloid this user who to put it as kindly as i can has a hateboner for fanloids is taking the chance to get their pages completely deleted, arguing there’s the much copypasted, much more bare-bones and disorganized fanloid wiki for them if anything.

The initial purpose for Neru, Haku, Sakine, Hachune, etc having pages on the Vocawiki was to avoid confusion and correct the idea clueless fans have about them being Vocaloids. It’s there to inform and archive facts, story, trivia. I am someone against Vocaloid purism and deletion of information (fe all the interesting information on the Meaw project has been lost FOREVER wiped from the entire internet because their only wiki page with their profile and history was deleted by this same user) because it never hurts anyone to archive all the interesting tidbits things this Vocaloid fandom overall has gone through. It’s not occupying space on your computer so i don’t understand why it’s harmful for it to exist online for the curious to learn.

Because of my opposition to this direction i already had my qualms towards this user but on top of that they have given me reasons to believe they actually loathe Neru and Haku.

There are no comment sections more policed and controlled than Neru and Haku’s in the wiki. Any innocent fun cheeky comment under their page will recieve a lengthy reply from this person shutting the fan down because Neru/Haku are unoriginal Miku copies, “irrelevant” and “just memes”. It’s very disheartening for fans and disrespectful. They spread tons of misconception like saying Haku was made as a form of bullying users or that Neru and Haku have no merchandise since 2013. I myself bought official NeruHaku Piapro badges from the Animate store in my trip to Japan in 2017. Sega released in 14 a macaron set with Neru and Haku’s logos which Piapro reported on. Crypton staff featured a Haku song in their official “classics” Vocaloid collection in their playlist site Kiite... this same year.

Moreover, this person has a DA account which they use to comment rude things under MANY!! Neru/Haku artworks (such as "if they disappeared tomorrow it would have no impact") and try to get fans to ditch them for "real Vocaloids" instead, f.e. leaving comments like “sigh i’d love to see you draw Miku” (instead of Haku, etc).

Their crusade against Neru and Haku specifically borders on obsessive to me. I understand trying to clarify what's a Vocaloid and what's not to people, but why is it so important to you that you go out of your way to BROWSE arts of characters you dislike and pressure people into not drawing them any longer.

Please don't listen to comments like this if you ever get them, block and move on. You're in the right to draw and love whatever characters you want no matter their recognition or label. There is a decently sized Japanese community of Neru and Haku fans over on Twitter so don't get a devastating picture of "nobody cares about those characters and if you do you're outdated" from these misinformed comments. Don't feel crazy or wrong for loving Neru and Haku in 2019 even OVER actual Vocaloids, there are many of us who love them still the most.

This is not my first rodeo with Vocaloid purists saying horrible things about Neru and Haku, however this time i had to speak on it since the person is involved in Wiki editing and it's going to affect the information available for all of us on their history, official links, artwork/concept art, most popular songs etc. This person themselves is also running the new Piapro Studio Wiki which means they will also have no future over there (even though Crypton’s Wat has recently tweeted being interested in including more characters in the MMD Piapro official model lineup in the future).

There is no point in protesting to such a stubborn person, so i’m just gonna archive Neru and Haku’s pages on the wayback machine and post links for everyone in the future. Personally i have no energy anymore to compile info, translate and make my own site about them.

But i want you guys to know. Even if i disappear for a year or two, for a long time. You all will always have a place here in my blog as Neru and Haku fans, you are valid. You enjoy whatever fanloid you want. You stan your dead fanloid, your dead Vocaloid, your Hibiki Lui, hell, whatever. Screw people who only see facts, software and data. Even their popularity “status” or recognition. Many people love Leon, Lola, Miriam, Piko... to this day. A fictional character dies when YOU decide it, when it doesn’t exist in anyone’s thoughts anymore. Not when a truly irrelevant “authority” figure Hereby Declares your Fave has Henceforth Become Irrelevant.

I made this blog at 19. I’m almost 30 now. And i still love Neru and Haku as much as when i first made this blog, if not even more!! Neru and Haku allowed me to meet some of the most amazing people in my e-life, like all of you askblog mods, but related to the subject in particular, some NeruHaku fans such as @ask-neru-and-or-haku who i still talk to every single day.

Life got super difficult and tragic for me so i’ve been having difficulties to post; partly it’s adulthood but partly just my luck (had three people die on me on the course of running this askblog... two a couple months ago). But thinking about Neru, Haku, the people they brought into my life. Makes me so happy.

I wish i could be back posting here everyday. I will be back for sure, from time to time, sporadically doing answerbombs in rampages... until i’m very old i hope :) but in the meantime have my blog as a safe Neru Haku loving space. A little shrine blog. I won’t tolerate disrespect towards my daughters here or bullying towards any of you Neru and Haku fans.

Phew... that’s it. Some good old venting and... sad but unsurprising news coming from this dry, canon-limited new wave in the fandom. Not “canon” to Vocaloid or Piapro? Gotta go!
