It’s 5:32 am

My fingers brush against your thigh

My hand resting on your hip

I think of the times

In the middle of the night

I would think she’s having

Her cat dream

like a cat dreaming.

I never told you

About the cat dream

I turn over

The clock shows 5:32 am

And the emptiness

Is palpable

There’s an entire world

Just outside my window

I would give it all

For the cat dream
