2) How did Rook get the nickname? What do they think of it?

SO. so in Pasha’s lil world state (labor of love between my friends and i tbh), they’re not the “canon” Rook, that falls on a lil elf named Emory that belongs to my friend, Jacks. HOWEVER they do have a couple of other nicknames!

Pasha’s got a young mage in their care named Tamsin who they’ve come to love like a child (I’ve been real torn up over recreating the Mandalorian’s “clan of two” with them). ANYWAY, Tamsin calls them Iovro’shan, old bear (thank you, project elvhen). Tamsin likened Pasha to a bear waking up after hibernating and that’s what she’s called them ever since! Varric also took to calling them some variation of Fennec. He’s got a bunch of lil nature inspired nicknames for them but Fennec is the most consistent. If he feels like being cute, he’ll call Tamsin and Pasha The Tangle bc… bc a group of fennecs is called… a tangle.

There’s also what Emmrich calls them BUT that’s private (I also dooooont know what that is yet).

12. Does Rook have any family? Do they keep in touch?

Aw man!! I haven’t thought of Pasha’s family outside of the one they found for themselves (and, later on, Emmrich and their skeletal magic-flinging son) (can you tell which route I went). I’d love to sit and think about their clan tho. I think it’s been years and they would’ve left voluntarily (the events of inquisition happened a decade ago now, right? so at least ten years at minimum!) but not on bad terms. I imagine a situation similar to Davrin where maybe they just grew restless.

20. What’s it like to see them smile? Their laugh?

PASHA IS SO VERY EXPRESSIVE. When they’re mad, you know it. When they’re sad, you know it. When they smile??? It’s like looking at the sun, big n bright. Like their eyes shut, they’ve got forehead wrinkles and smile lines and it’s infectious.

They’ve also got the kind of laugh that starts off with a loud HAH that comes from the belly and turns into a gasps of air that has the potential to kill them. It’s not hard to get them to crumble into a fit of giggles, they’ve got the stupidest sense of humor (hand puns).

i have drawn hush before, but i’m more than happy to draw him again! he’s one of my personal favorites and i’ve been intending to make more of a distinction between him and azmidi. they’re both shadows in the corner of one’s vision in my mind’s eye, but they’re… different.

gavin’s my favorite member and yes yes, i would love to draw my wife again. he needs more piercings and tattoos anyway.

1. What were their first impressions of one another?

afhiri @ gale: CLOWN BOY!!!!!!!! afhiri thought the whole hand sticking outta rock thing was SOOO funny and that gale Must be an Expert clown!!!!!!!!! admiration....

gale @ afhiri: like this tiefling is gonna need constant babysitting and hand holding and will require a lot of eyes and a lot of energy. prepares to be exhausted but is kind and gentle about it :) the holder of the toddler harness

6. Do they have any pet names/nicknames for eachother?

afhiri @ gale: afhiri will call gale anything. gale is the mr. wizardy man the bestest clown in faerun..... literally whatever pops into this babies head it is now assigned gale. he is the sweetest honey chuckle ever !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yknow how it is. ......

gale @ afhiri: gale calls afhiri "my love" most of all but also "hiri" and "iri".. iri is mostly reserved for when gale is being very soft and gentle.. like when he's sleepy <3 also things like "my sweet clown" teehees

35. What moment did they realise that they were in love?

afhiri @ gale: afhiri....... man. i don't think afhiri ever 'realised' when gale confessed he loves her afhiri was like Cocks Head you like me? :3c and just kinda. enjoyed that attention and only really noticed gale in that way at that moment.. when afhiri fell in love ?? no clue. afhiri don't know. gale don't know . afhiri doesn't have that kind of awareness <3

gale @ afhiri: act 1.. i wrote a wittle scene where afhiri plays the flute for gale (the flute he bought them...) and sings him a song they wrote just for gale.. the song is bad but afhiri sings well and plays well... it was very touching. gale got the doki doki man

28. Are they affectionate in public? Is it too much?

afhiri/candor: IMMENSELY SO. afhiri's natural state with candor is hands on touchy touchy grabbing Climbing... this is just completely normal for the two. candor doesn't have much or any concept on PDA and the social view of it and just allows afhiri to do whatever they like. ^_^ afhiri is CLINGING

40. What do they do when they miss one another? Is one more needy than the other/s?

afhiri @ candor: afhiri isn't one for missing really. afhiri is so In The Moment that they're not really thinking on the past and what they don't have. they are however completely inseparable when they're together however and when they're not afhiri's mind is just full of gale. no room for missing..!! afhiri is, when they're together, THE needy one... candors attention NOW please :3

candor @ afhiri: candor thinks about afhiri every waking moment. which is all the time because candor doesn't sleep :) no matter what afhiri is dominating its mind. but thanks to being a solar it doesn't stop it from doing what it needs to do.. it has room for afhiri to dominate so much headspace and still do its duty. but when they're not together candor is waiting with extreme patience for the day afhiri joins it in the upper planes. (never happens <3)

49. Do they tease each other? What about?

afhiri @ candor: afhiri is super teasing ^_^ mostly because its fun!!! and the teasing is entirely romantic or sexual in context. lots of teasing about how much candor likes afhiri like.. theyre a school kid on a playground. but candor just responds completely bluntly and honestly like. it doesn't even get it's being teased. fantastic!

candor @ afhiri: never. absolutely never. the idea is abhorrent. though it might happen by complete accident and candor WILL do all in its power to make up for this fatal mistake. <3 on one knee hand to hard please forgive me for my insolence afhiri

12. attitude towards Mabari?

Brava loves dogs in general she's very much a dog person. she grew up hearing stories about mabari and always dreamed of having one. deep down she knew the chances were extremely slim, living in the alienage and all. i imagine when she arrived at ostagar she would watch the mabari with big sad eyes hoping that somehow one would choose her. so when the mabari she saved sought her out she was overjoyed, might have cried a little bit to herself. she named her mabari Blade

as a true fereldan, Moira LOVES mabari especially the family mabari who she named Sparky. once the remaining family is moved into the estate in act 2 she brings him out on the town frequently as a sort of "fuck you" to everyone in kirkwall that looks down on fereldans

Mirela doesnt have any strong feelings towards mabari. being dalish she hasnt really encountered many, if any at all. she respects them for their intelligence and devotion to their masters, she knows that they're a force to be reckoned with. they're a bit too big and loud for her tastes personally

15. preferred weapon of choice?

Brava: dual daggers. in-game she always used her mother's dagger, Fang, and duncan's dagger which is still canon but i imagine that she would "borrow" knives from zevran on occassion

Moira: staff. all my hawkes end up using malcolm's staff from the legacy dlc, i dont remember what one she's using right now

Mirela: dual daggers. i havent played her yet and dont remember specific daggers but in my head she sticks with dalish-made daggers.

moved to dahlia after graduating high school to attend D.A.M.N

seer masquerading as a “boring ol’ freelancer”

works at Error Code, a vintage electronics/media & tech support store on D.A.M.N's campus

really good with technology and electronics. fancies himself a robotics engineer (which he actually is)

personality

the loss of his brother and subsequently being disowned led to him self-isolating since his teens, though you wouldn't know it from his general upbeat and playful demeanor around people

he does like people and being around them, he's just careful not to get too close to anyone because of his Sight. stems from not wanting anyone to experience the heartbreak he went through when his brother died in the event of his own death

primarily uses his Sight for little things (weather forecasts, traffic incidents, etc) so he can a) avoid involuntary visions and b) keep visions quick. the less he’s in the time streams, the better - his own death vision scares him

coping with the burden of Life and Death. but he stays silly /ref

really smart (especially in tech, obviously) and always looking to learn more. people get annoyed sometimes by his constant questions, but he's not trying to be intrusive or anything. he's just curious

backstory

born to uninformed and unempowered parents

had a really hard time with his Sight when it first manifested in his early teens because he had no one to talk to about it. probably thought he was going crazy

he kept his visions locked down because they scared him after he saw his own death, but when he started seeing his brother's, he finally told his parents about them

obviously they didn't believe him and thought he was being weird and morbid, but his brother died almost exactly the way he foretold, and they sent him away because they thought he was like. cursed

from there he luckily ended up on the empowered side of things and was able to get help understanding his Sight. eventually he moved out to dahlia when he was old enough to attend D.A.M.N., where he got full certification as a freelancer with a specialty in electric magic

other

has a siamese cat named oracle. she's a certified emotional support animal

caffeine sharpens up his Sight. has a caffeine addiction and a fucked up sleep schedule because of it

goes for energy drinks over soda. very knowledgeable about the different brands

relates his Sight to, like... building a PC or something. bunch of different pieces that can be changed to alter the performance in some way, ykwim? i don't build PCs idk

unapologetic romcom enjoyer. don't ask unless you want him to whip out his letterboxd and talk your ear off

despite being able to see the future, he has very bad luck. constantly getting caught in traffic, spilling drinks onto keyboards, and tripping over untied shoelaces

has an irrational fear of birds but would sooner die than admit it
