God, how long has it been since they spoke to each other? Since they’ve been around one another? Months, surely. Long, agonizing months without contact, though he could only blame himself. 

“Mm, who else would it be, ojisan?” His words, though somewhat harsh, had a warm tone to them as he smiled at the PI. He lifts an arm, hand rubbing the back of his throat as he ponders what he should say. Sorry, maybe? Sorry for being gone without even saying goodbye? Sorry for being an idiot and letting a few cases get in the way of everything else? 

He finally saunters over, only stopping when there were only several inches between them. And he pulled Naruto into his chest, hugging him as tightly as he could. He shuts his eyes for a moment, just so he could savor having the other in his arms again. “Missed you too, baaro.”

ok real talk my rating of the game? 7/10

the pros of this game is that i absolutely LOVE the complete change of genre once u enter a specific route. tbh i didnt expect violence or gore at all in the game. some hurt/comfort? yes. some angst? yes. pure emotional trauma? character absolutely going berserk and broken? mc going thru near-death situations multiple times??? thought i left all that in piofiore and cxm lmao. the game really encapsulates the 'you have unlocked friendship with misyr! he will now die for you.' i am however a huge pain of painful angst and drama so while shocked at first i welcome it with open arms

the story does have a nice balance of funny and sweet. i believe this game so far is the game where i laughed a lot compared to other otomate games. the characters are lovable and sweet. mcs reaction to baffling things are realistic and i love tht she does her best to keep it together among a group of extremely powerful handsome creatures. good for her

music is AMAZING!!! the ost slaps so hard! also a bit bias but i adore ono yuukis voice acting as an angy soft tsundere and the fact tht junichi suwabe voiced a sexy ojisan with a tragic backstory thats chefs kiss for me

cons? oh boy lol. the general route is too long. if youre a fan of general routes youll enjoy it as they introduce each character. buuuut im the more jump straight to my choice of character kinda gamer. while it wasnt as laggy as code realize once i did unlock a specific route it feels too short which left me unsatisfied and craving for more :')

plot was nicely done. romance? ehhh lacking tbh. esp in misyrs route which is considered the canon route. i expected more fluffy sweet moments before being thrown to hell but in the end it felt lacking and worse. bitter considering their happy ending :')))

there isnt a short story section which left me surprised since usually most otomate games hv extras just so we can enjoy more romantic moments w the chara we want. ESPECIALLY in a game where its (on the surface) focus is cute fluffy slice-of-life romance. ESPECIALLY in a game where the branched routes are short than other otomate games.

and lastly. the canon route :') i get that this game is the immortal/mortal ship so ofc one day the mortal will die n leave the immortal waiting and alone. but i AT LEAST expected the canon to be a twist where they can achieve happily ever after. as far as im concerned this game has no sequel so their relationships can have an open ending which usually ends in a bittersweet tone. but oof to hv the reverse card shoved to your face....honestly doesnt give much of a happy ending despite its title

so yeah.....i expected fluffy romance but i got my heart stabbed many times. didnt expect it but wasnt disappointed! but in the end the lack of certain criterias left me unsatisfied so ✌🏽

5. Shimazaki Nobunaga - How can I not? He.gave.life. to my ultimate husband, Nanase Haruka. Even if not for that, this precious angel owns the best smile in the seiyuu industry.

4. Taniyama Kishou - Surprise, surprise. I scream about Kiiyan all the time (there is not a day in my life when I didn’t say I miss him), but he’s just at #4. I’d say it’s because I think Kiiyan doesn’t thrive as a seiyuu as much as everyone in here (well he has GRANRODEO), but this man’s singing voice is the most beautiful sound to me, and so if all anime series have singing scenes in them, then we only need Kiiyan lol. And lastly, Nakahara Chuuya.

3. Kamiya Hiroshi - It’s like it’s impossible to be a seiyuu fan without loving this ojisan. Look at the list of great characters he plays/has played, then tell me how can you not love Kamiyan??? It’s like it’s because it’s him that characters become great. He’s the one I look up to the most in this industry, even if his silliness makes me want to lose my respect for him at times lol. But still, Kamiya Hiroshi - the king of the seiyuu industry.

2. Hosoya Yoshimasa - My son. My precious baby I’m protecting against the world. I will always be proud of every single thing he does. Oh gosh, I just have a lot of feelings for this man. Anyway, the most interesting thing about Hosoyan is the striking difference between his real-life personality and the characters he plays.

1. Miyano Mamoru - No one can ever take this #1 spot from him. A man who was born to be a seiyuu idol. My favorite seiyuu voice. 2nd favorite singing voice. Can sing, dance, act really well. Has good looks and a very lovable personality. Mamo just radiates happiness, all sorts of positive feelings, to every cell of my being.

here I go with Saneaki, or as I personally prefer calling him, Kuroba (for no explainable reason), the resident majime bro. anyhow excUSE ME BUT I WOULD LIKE TO FILE A COMPLAINT I DO NOT DESERVE TO CRY THIS MUCH!!

as was hinted in the main plot, Kuroba is most definitely secretly a christian, based on the prayers he whispered in some scenes that does not really fit what I can recognized as Shintoism and/or Buddhism. we learn that he is a half and lost his mother when he was very young, but still managed to keep her religion to his heart. though non of his routes made the fact he's a christian to be the main issue.

he was also one of the Bakufu (shogunate?) owned samurai but chose to quietly retire (i.e. abandoned his way of the sword) after the whole Bridal procession to Sunpu. tough luck on him, no one’s actually agreed with his wish to retire. one of the Yagyuu big shot, Munenori, kept bothering him in his secluded home deep in some forest for him to change his mind. old dude told Kayo that Kuroba owned one of the famous sword, the Outenta (there’s another sword I think but I freaking can’t read them kanjis). my dude also seems to have this female spirit/ghost named Habaki who lingers around him that only he could see, telling him to kill so she could feed on their blood. after Munenori failed to convince him to return to the Bakufu, Enishi was sent instead and the lovable MF suddenly turned sly snake and used Kayo to have a duel with Kuroba. fortunately Kayo went FUCK THIS and stopped them dudes from killing each other.

Kimi -??? end-, also at the same time, Kayo’s besties, Omatsu, suddenly wanna kill Kuroba after meeting him by chance regarding some issues with their naginata dojo. Omatsu said Kuroba killed her older sister back in Sunpu. Kuroba admitted he did accidentally killed an innocent girl from protecting her friend (Kuroba’s actual target) from being murdered by him, a Bakufu ‘dog’ then. it was why Kuroba wanted to retire and hermit himself away from society in the first place as he could never forgive himself. Kayo managed to talk Omatsu out from taking revenge on Kuroba (bc he was willing to let Omatsu kill him) by telling her that she liked the dude. Kuroba then tells his story how he, a half Dutch, came to be a Bakufu henchmen. his mother died from the persecution of christians and he was later taken care of by other Dutchmen (I think). soon, they gotta leave for their home country but lil Kuroba has to be left behind for some reason I don’t quite understand. he was taken care of by some government(?) dudes who said he just need to work for the Bakufu when he grows up.... or something IDK. there’s a lot of specific words and terms that I don’t get probably describing the Bakufu system. anyway, Kuroba also shared his bible and explain the things in the teaching with Kayo. this route end pretty much a mystery to me bc most was told w Kayo’s perspective (aka there’s no voice over to read it for me *cries* why can’t I just read as well as I could listen????). what I could tell is that Kuroba abandoned his last name and goes only as Saneaki and married(?) Kayo and work with her restaurant. Kayo’s dad got remarried and opened another shop with the new wife.

Kimi -good end-, Kuroba and Kayo followed a certain light his Outenta suddenly flashed and found a bunch of people in a cave trying to summon a dark arts. Tsuzumi, a champion of the sword tourney in Sunpu also new owner of Juzumaru, was trying to get his lady Nanae and a kid away from an old dude named Asakura. old dude was trying to sacrifice Nanae to get his summoning of some other dead dude. Kuroba decided he couldn’t just stand around idle while watching this so he stepped up and stop Asakura. knowing ppl might come after him bc he stood out again (or something IDK), he wanted to gtfo out of Edo fast. Kayo’s not letting him going alone so she said she’s coming to. she said he dad will be fine since he got a new wife now. before they could take off, Omatsu challenged him once again but this time Kuroba defended himself, saying he will no longer be willing to die bc he has another reason to keep on living. Omatsu was actually there to get him to say that as she would not want to see her bestie be following a dude who would easily willing to die. so Kayo and Kuroba traveled far and reached a certain hidden church. he left his swords with the priest and while there in front of god, they swore their love to each other.

Ken -bad???? end-, Omatsu was dead serious on dueling with Kuroba to exact her vengeance for killing her sister, and Kayo understands her bestie’s feelings. Kayo came to witness the duel but Omatsu changed her mind in the end. she finally sees how much Kuroba regretted for accidentally killing her sister, also that Kayo revealed that the dude made a grave for her back in Sunpu. before Omatsu left, she said to Kuroba to not abandoned his sword and keep on protecting the land. I’m not sure if Omatsu really meant for him to go back working under the Bakufu, but Kuroba decided he would do exactly that. he also said to Kayo in another day that he wished she would stop seeing him, and that they should part. Kayo was saddened and ran away crying. on the run, it suddenly rained and she took shelter in a certain cave. she heard sounds of people talking inside and take a look. well fuck, it’s the unrelated party who was trying to summon the Marebito!! and Kayo got caught!! Tsuzumi was threatened to kill the innocent bystander bc he couldn’t sacrifice his own gf Nanae. he refused and Kuroba came to protect Kayo in the last moment. I’m not exactly sure what happened in the end, but the thing with the summoning was concluded. Kuroba.... I assumed he went back to work as Bakufu’s samurai and acted like a silent protector of the town, killing youkai at night. I must have missed a lot of things from the un-voiced over parts...

Ken -FUCKING TERRIBLE end-, instead of blatantly refusing to kill an innocent bystander like Kayo, Tsuzumi willing to do it to save his lady. Kuroba arrived at the last minute and they fought. Asakura pushed Nanae in the middle of them having their swords clashed and was stabbed by Tsuzumi’s Juzumaru. with her blood spilled, the summoning worked. before the Marebito would wreck the place, Kuroba asked Kayo to take everyone out and get Nanae to a doctor. Kayo was unwilling to leave him but she did it anyway. I’m not sure what happened but I think Kuroba realized there’s nothing he could do without sacrificing himself so he did just that and it finally sealed the portal to the underworld. Kayo only got his cross, his mother’s keepsake, as memento. she prayed to it everyday so one day they could meet again. WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO HER THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A GOOD END??? FUCK I CAN’T STOP MY TEARSSS AAAAAAAA

OKAY! next will be one of my most anticipated character, Enishi, bc I can’t tell anything about him from the main plot aside from him being the ONLY one (maybe Kuroba might know too but if this was explained, I must have missed it) who knew the Bridal procession was a cover up for transporting the famous sword, Juzumaru, all the way to Sunpu by the time of the sword tourney over there to finalize so it could be the winner’s prize. also the fact that, by default, I am interested with characters that’s extra nice to the MC from the very beginning, so long he’s not a haraguro. pls don’t be haraguro, Enishi my dude. so far he seems like a sly and never tells the truth type of person. also bc he’s one of the most fun character in the drama cds. I can’t believe this ojisan taught my baby son Suzukake that a cute girl is a ‘delicacy’.

Kimetsu no Yaiba: Yuukaku-hen (already started! i had heard TWs for this series that i had somewhat blown off, but, this arc is indeed a bit gross...! not enough that i’ll drop the series, but i’m excited to move on)

Sasaki to Miyano (i read the manga a couple years ago now, and i was rereading a little before the anime got announced. i’m very excited for this..... humor doesn’t always land for me since i’m not into otaku humor, but the characters are VERY lovable)

Sabikui Bisco (MOSTLY because i think post-apocalyptic settings are cool. but also because the doctor boy with the panda face is very cute. the character design overall is good too tho)

Maybe! (will watch these later if they get good feedback)

Leadale no Daichi nite (an isekai about an elf, with 3 adult children, who has never been in a romantic relationship. seems endearing and surprisingly sex positive)

Tokyo 24-ku (the guy directing this has directed JoJo parts 1, 3, 4, and 5. also Inu x Boku SS, somehow. so i’m interested to see what he does with an original work. the story seems to have a sci-fi spin?)

Baraou no Souretsu (disappointed that JC staff got this. i really like richard’s VA. i’d like to know him, but i’m not looking forward to seeing him be constantly abused! not sure i have the heart for that!!!)

Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru (a solid looking romcom, albeit a bit horny. the animation is incredibly slick and the main girl is cute)

Tribe Nine (well, my first initial thought was “why the FUCK does this look like danganronpa” and my response to that thought is: because Kodaka, the creator of danganronpa, also created this. they’re gangsters who fight with..... baseball?)

Fantasy Bishoujo Juniku Ojisan to (i was getting a gay vibe from the pv for some reason so i checked the synopsis and. it’s an isekai about two guys getting transported into another world, but one of them turns into a girl. it’s a romcom XD it’s lgbt either way!! if she decides she likes being a girl she’s trans. but if he chooses to be a guy he’s gay. LMFAO)

Koroshi Ai (big fan of enemies to lovers trope, but i’m slightly worried about the power dynamics here. it just seems a bit lopsided. i’d definitely like to give it a shot though...)

Maybe not (might watch it months later or has like a 5% chance of me watching it)

Orient (the character designs are cute and the premise fun, but i was just... never a fan of Magi, which is from the same creator)

Tensai Ouji no Akaji Kokka Saisei Jutsu (is not an isekai but has an isekai flavor. the concept of a spoiled prince actively trying to ruin his kingdom is pretty funny)

Vanitas no Karte 2nd Season (i only got around to watching the first 3 episodes of season 1! :’3)

Ryman's Club (somewhat unique as a sports anime since it’s an adult sports club. best looking sports show this season)
