Well...I guess it’s back to work tomorrow. I was fortunate enough to be able to take off work over the Holidays. Such a nice break but I am ready to get back to it! Tonight I am enjoying an old fashioned. I am using the Old Fashioned Mix from @staugustinedistillery and Benchmark Full Proof. The Full proof holds up well in this cocktail. The mix does a great job of adding spice and zest to the drink. Sometimes I will garnish with an orange or cherry. How do you like your old fashioned’s? . . This was a test shot using two new backdrops that I made over the weekend. I am in need of a lot of new surfaces for upcoming photoshoots and wanted to give them a trial run! When @krogerco gives you 27 more lemons than you asked for, you make a bunch of things with lemon. My wife and I decided to make a Lemon Ricotta Cake. Of course I had to pair it with some bourbon. I went with Heaven Hill BiB because of the brown sugar notes. It paired perfectly with the sweetness of the cake. As I’m sitting here enjoying my first pour since the clock struck midnight on January 1st 2019, I find myself thinking. 2018 was a big year for me. I had the biggest year for my business, I bought a house and renovated it, and I got married to my lovely wife. I recall numerous times wanting to bring the blog back but time just wasn’t in my favor. Now that we have turned a new page and we have entered 2019, I think it is time to try to bring this little blog back. I enjoyed the hell out this when I started it. The conversations, the connections, and the community created was fantastic. I want more of that this year. My last post was November 27th, 2017. That’s insane. I can recall the day that I posted that photo and it does not feel like over a year ago. Anyway...I hope you all follow along and enjoy the content. I plan on changing things up and bringing bourbon, beer, food, and who knows what else to the blog.
