He nods in the dark, «Yeppp,» the p popping emphatically.

«The five of you, inside a van like this?» Krystle seems surprised, probably not familiar with the story. «I cannot imagine the level of excitement of those shows. It feels absurd to do it once, but twice? A bredvan experience 2.0 seems unreal.»

«It was like it is now, only… multiplied by five,» Louis whispers as Matt passes the joint to Micheal. «The fans only found out because we recorded it and put it in the movie. They celebrate it with clips and stuff every year. They call it the bread van anniversary.»

Steve snorts when Louis shrugs, as if this is somehow normal.

«Wait, where’s Josh?»

«Somewhere on his PC, I guess.»

«Yeah, editing and scrolling through the thousands of versions of the same pic.»

«We’re not going to have a record of this moment, then. This can get messy. Proper messy.»

The van falls silent, then Micheal clears his throat. «You guys know that smoking game called Ci ci leu?»

«Tchi-Tchi what?»

Sighhhhhhhhh...but I don't want to own it though! I want other people to write it so I can read it, toooooo! Every once in a while I check the pairing tag just hoping the two I wrote won't still be the only two. Seriously, wouldn't it be sort of ridiculous if I wrote THREE Louis/Rob fics though?

I did get a little teensy bit of inspo with the recent Cillian Murphy interviews for Oppenheimer where he like doesn't know what a meme is, doesn't have social media, can't wait to see the Barbie movie, out there wearing sheer shirts and has no clue the internet is melting down about it. I had always intended to write an actual like halfway serious, romantic Louis/Cillian fic but it'd probably turn out to be silly now lol oh well

This is a One Direction fic fest! All fics must include one or more current or former members of One Direction in the main pairing. 

One or more characters in the main pairing must be involved in a competitive sport. Sports in this fest do not have to be professional. All leagues and levels are welcome.

Participants must be 18 years old or older at the time of signing up. Many fics will include mature and explicit material not suitable for minors.

There is a 1,000 minimum word count for this fest. There is no maximum.

Fics must be completed when posted to the Ao3 collection. No WIPs at this time. 

You can use your own prompt!

Prompts will be assigned on first come, first serve basis at the time of sign-up.

There’s a dark figure stood at the end of the corridor, the light shining out from beneath the door behind it eerily lighting up the silhouette. If Louis hadn’t still been caught up in the last two lines of the chorus he’d just written before he’d run off to the loo he might’ve recognized that weird wide-footed stance. He’s seen enough videos, seen enough pictures to be able to tell the person to the posture. But he’s not really looking, eyes skipping over invisible lyrics while he walks through the half-dark corridor.

He’s about to go around the corner back to his studio with a mumbled “hello mate” and a glance out of the corner of his eye, when the figure moves and pushes the door behind them open with their back. More light flows into the now no longer dark air and the figure becomes a person.

Louis stops dead in his tracks. Whips his head around, stares and for a blood-stopping second contemplates just walking on like it isn’t Liam fucking Gallagher stood in the doorway.

Fav 1D Fics of 2022 ??

So every year I make a favorite fics of the year list (which is already quite long to be honest lol) BUT I'd love to know if there was a fic published this year that you really loved that you think I might have missed! I'd like to spend December reading anything I might have missed out on earlier in the year, so I'd love some recommendations on what to read! Just send me an ask or dm and let me know if you have a rec for me!
