—memories• William J. Moriarty
paring: William x wife!reader summary: Hair holds memories. Something that William had said in the past. did it mean anything to his darling wife? yes. more than he could imagine. warning: hurt/comfort, manga spoiler, angsty, rapunzle-hair, like lots and lots of hair. a/n: this came to mind while doing my haircare. Enjoy.
The first thing William had looked for immediately after entering the mansion and sharing brief greetings with his dear brothers and comrades was to ask them about his wife. During his time in New York with his now close friends Billy and Sherlock Holmes for the better half of three years, he had never forgotten the treasure he left behind in London; the treasure he was forced to part from—his darling wife, Y/n; she had stayed by his side when the world had mistaken him, misunderstood all the crimes he patriotically committed; measures needed for the greater good.
Not once could he stop his tears nor the hurt that crushed his entire being when he thought how miserable Y/n was. After all, everyone believed Lord of Crime, William James Moriarty was dead.
He did not expect to see the heads of all the people in the hall droop. Some of them had sighed, and some of them could not meet his eyes.
“Where is my wife?” he had asked again, growing impatient. He had frankly believed that Y/n would have moved on by now and perhaps jumped in his embrace the moment he revealed himself to the MI6. He was more worried than disappointed.
It was Louis who spoke up. “She’s in her—your room…” but he did not finish the sentence.
And William did not need him to. Without wasting another second, he rushed up the stairs through the all familiar halls; his feet did not stop, not until he was standing outside of their room; and the scene before him broke his heart to a million pieces.
The moonlight dimly illuminated the room, as if adding life to the atmosphere. There were no sound save one—the soft humming coming from the open balcony.
William had carefully treaded his way to where Y/n was sitting with her back towards the door.. However, his feet stepped on something dark, long. Hair.
Was this Y/n’s hair? How did this get so long? Was this some kind of rope? Why would she grow out her hair? Unless…
“I like your hair, my love,” a youthful and lively Moriarty declared as he played with his wife’s lose hair. The woman blushed, hiding her face with the book she was reading.
“…then should I grow out my hair?”
The man shook his head, a loving smile on his lips. “Whatever you wish, darling,” he had pecked her lips. “Speaking of hair, I read somewhere,”
“Hair holds memories.”
The present-day Y/n asked her hair as she combed it without a care in the world. “Do you think he had a rebirth? No. Maybe he went to heaven…if it exists. He was a good man…”
William’s heart ached. Ached he could do nothing to make up for the pain he inflicted on her. Ached for he had no words to apologize with, nor the face. All he could do was call out to her, in a soft, trembling voice.
“Y/n, darling…”
Y/n had stopped her humming and looked out at the night sky before her. “William?”
She thought she had finally lost her mind. How could you hear voices of dead people? That was nothing but her imagination. Imagination where William lived…and was before her.
“Darling,” William called out again, now walking towards the woman.
Y/n stood up, frantically looking all around her to search for the source of the voice, when her eyes finally landed on him. There he was, standing with his arms wide open for her; like he always had.
She cautiously walked towards him, as if still making sure she was not daydreaming again. “Are you really here?” She had asked while she gently caressed his face.
Without a word, William had embraced her and held her close. So close but still not enough. It was not enough for the two. They needed more than touch, more than words. They needed more.
Eventually, the two could not hold back anymore and cried. Cried for the hurt they felt, the hardships they went through, and the pain they suffered; but also for the immense joy they felt. Especially Y/n. How many people in this world could say they met the person they had lost to time? It was no less than a miracle. And this time she would not let go, even if the gods came asking for him.
But all of that could wait. William gently held her meter-long hair and asked, “…why?”
She had kept quiet for sometime when she at last said “…hair holds memories.”
The tears did not stop, rather they increased but William still had that gentle smile on his lips. He hugged her yet again. Slowly, he grabbed the small knife he always hid in his socks and began to cut the thick hair gently, while whispering sweet nothings in her ear.
“Now I’m here. We will make more.”
Memories.

IWTV Claudia's Celebration of Life: Spark in the Dark - Alternate Universe
As the title suggests, this event is to celebrate the wonderful Claudia; her personality, her aspirations, her journey. The heart for the past two seasons of AMC Interview with The Vampire. This is to take the narrative back to her, proving she's not just a shingle roof for us.
2. Aug 13th & 14th: Alternate Universe
The plane was huge, all creamy white leather and dark wood. Not much privacy to be had.... Three chairs [were] against the wall of the bedroom, a coffee table in front of them. Louis sat in one of those, near the window, hoping he was far back enough that everyone would overlook him.... Against all odds, Louis [fell] asleep.... When he blinked his eyes open, Claudia was sitting next to him, watching a movie on her iPad.... Louis nudged Claudia to get her attention. “After lunch Imma fix [your hair].” Claudia sat on the floor in front of him so he could braid her hair.... The two thick cornrows he did were a bit rough.... She moved around too much, then complained when her scalp got tugged. “....That’s as good as it’s gonna get,” Louis said, patting Claudia’s head when he was done. She didn’t move though. She just leaned back against his legs, still watching the movie.... She’d done it like it was the most natural thing in the world, to lean on him. Louis was afraid to move, like he might spook her if he did. He sat back slowly, resting his hands on the arms of the chair. Louis watched Claudia watch the movie, sitting at his feet. Her perfect little head, the messy braids he’d given her. She laughed at a line. She tilted her head back and rested it against his knee. Life shifted for Louis in that moment. He could feel something slide and lock into place inside him. He was overcome with a sense of finality. Louis loved Claudia. Loved her like blood. No that wasn’t it. Because what did blood mean at the end of it all? He loved her like family. Like his own. The realization staggered him. There were feelings within him he was just discovering, though they’d been taking root all this time. Protectiveness. Kinship. Adoration. Pride. And so much love.... Louis felt eyes on him. He looked up. Lestat was standing, his arm braced on the back of his chair, looking at them. Louis couldn’t help but look back. Lestat’s eyes moved from Louis down to Claudia, then back up to Louis. Louis didn’t know how long they looked at each other, nor could he name the emotion in Lestat’s eyes.

MY THOUGHTS
This post was directly inspired by one of my fave chapters of one of my fave IWTV fanfics, which was inspired by one of my fave books, Jane Eyre. It's a human AU, though Lestat's still a rockstar. He's Claudia's biological dad, and Louis' the live-in-nanny/governess.

by Peter Bevan | Evening Standard | Sep 4th 2024 (excerpt)
What are the best products for styling hair?
“It really depends on the type of hair and look you’re going for,” says Krystle Gohel, celebrity groomer who regularly works with Louis Tomlinson. “For straight hair, sea salt spray can be great for adding a low-maintenance gritty feel and for curly hair, curling mousse or an oil-based product is great to define curls.”
instagram
So, those with curly hair tend to need creams which help with frizz and breakage while those with straight hair usually opt for volume-enhancing alternatives like sea salt spray or matte clay. There are also pomades and gels which deliver a slick finish or hair spray if you want extra hold.
Haircare experts Horace, Patricks and OUAI all enrich their styling formulas with worthwhile ingredients, too, rather than the nasties you might find in some of the mass-market brands. Gohel’s favourite brands? “The brands I use most are Paul Mitchell, Bumble & bumble and Balmain. And I love my Dyson hairdryer which I use with the diffuser to create soft waves.”

Lem's Tag Game
Thanks for the tag @depressedstressedlemonzest and the much needed distraction today.
What are some movie /tv quotes that you quote often?
"I heard your hearts dancing!" - Lestat de Lioncourt, Interview With the Vampire (Television Show)
Context: Lestat was jealous that his lover Louis spent time with another man -- jealousy ensued at epic levels.
So now I use it inappropriately. Examples: My cat was standoffish with me a few days ago, but was sweet and touch needy (the little bastard) with a friend who came over the same day. My friend left and my cat jumped on my bed, wanting pre sleep petting. I looked at him and hissed "I heard your hearts dancing!" Better yet, I left my wallet next to my laptop (don't do this!) with an open Amazon page. I came back and sighed "I heard your hearts dancing."
What is your favorite flower?
Peonies.
If you were in Avatar the Last Airbender what element would you want to bend? Earth, fire, water or air?
Earth
What was your first job?
I worked after school in a community center helping first graders with their homework while they waited for a parent to pick them up. Best job ever.
What is your favorit breakfast?
Hmm. Eggs, sunny side up, toast, fruit, coffee when I'm with adult company. When I'm alone, it's a mess. I once had a reheated chicken thigh on a slice of bread for breakfast and some Lucozade.
What's a meal from childhood that you love?
Sunday beef stew. My mom slow cooked it all day and the smell made the house feel like home.
What's your favorite joke to tell?
Oh God, too shy to tell jokes.
What's your go to quick meal to cook/make at home?
Ramen and soup dumplings. Meatballs (I always keep some frozen).
What's your go to meal to cook someone to impress them?
Cacio e Pepe
What's something you want to do better?
Writing and um, trouncing imposter syndrome.
If you're working do you like your job?
I do! It keeps me connected to the arts at granular level.
Do you collect anything? What?
Maybe haircare products. Look at me downplaying my affliction with that "maybe." I have a CVS aisle in my hallway closet full of haircare stuff.
If you were trapped in a kids tv show, what show would you be okay with being trapped in?
"The Proud Family"
An adults tv show?
"Insecure"
What kind of job did you want as a child?
Dancer. Did that for a while too.
Do you follow any sports? What team do you root for?
Not a single one.
If you could be any animal what would you be and why?
Oh hell, I don't know. I'd want to survive, be cunning and live a long time. Whatever animal that is.
If you could be any mythological creature what would you be and why?
Phoenix. Who doesn't want another shot at getting it right?
What's the most obscure thing you've had to google for a fanfic you were writing/reading?
The Osborne Fire Finder Device for a fic I'm writing right now.

What Gallagher do you identify with most?

The growth of this market is expected to be driven by the factors such as rising investment for the development of innovative/customized lipid ingredients, growing consumer demand for cosmetics with nutrient-enriched vegetable oils, rising demand for natural cosmetic ingredients, and increasing demand for skincare products in the region. However, the availability of substitutes such as mineral oil can hinder market growth. In addition, the limited availability of some lipid ingredients places challenges for the lipid ingredients market in Europe.
The Europe lipid ingredients market for cosmetics is mainly segmented on the basis of source, application, and geography. The study also evaluates industry competitors and analyzes the market at the country level.
Based on source, the Europe lipid ingredients market for cosmetics is mainly segmented into plants, animals, and novel lipid sources. In 2021, the plants segment is estimated to account for the largest share of the Europe lipid ingredients market for cosmetics. Further, plant oil is widely adopted in cosmetics products as an alternative to mineral oils.
Based on the application, the lipid ingredients market is mainly segmented into skincare, haircare, and other applications. The skincare segment is expected to command the fast growth of the overall Europe lipid ingredients market for cosmetics during the forecasted period. The segment's fast growth is mainly attributed to the shift in consumer focus towards anti-aging skincare products and acne-reducing solutions, growing demand for natural skincare products, and increasing demand for luxury skincare products. Fenty Hair? Fans Are Excited About Rihanna’s Expanding Fenty Empire
New Post has been published on https://eazybeauty.net/fenty-hair-fans-are-excited-about-rihannas-expanding-fenty-empire/
Fenty Hair? Fans Are Excited About Rihanna’s Expanding Fenty Empire
Amid the hiatus of her Fenty ready-to-wear with conglomerate LVMH, it seems like Rihanna is expanding her Fenty empire to a whole new level.
Following the booming success of her Fenty Beauty, Savage X Fenty lingerie line, and Fenty Skin, rumors sparked that the nine-time Grammy winner is launching a brand catering for hair care products.
Is Rihanna Releasing Fenty Hair Soon?
In a report obtained by Harper’s Bazaar, the “Where Have You Been” songstress might be launching Fenty Hair soon.
It came after the iconic singer’s company, Roraj Trade LLC, has filed a new trademark application for “Fenty Hair.”
This would cover a wide array of hair care products, including hairstyling, hair coloring, hair care preparation, straightening, relaxing, dandruff shampoo, and more.
With reports surrounding her upcoming project, Rihanna’s team is tight-lipped about the possible Fenty expansion.

Fans are Thrilled for Rihanna’s Fenty Hair
It’s no surprise that fans are excited for the forthcoming release of Fenty Hair as fans expressed their enthusiasm towards Riri’s haircare brand.
“Now why is Rihanna bout to release “Fenty hair” hereeeeeeeee just take my money,” one fan wrote.
The second Twitter user pointed out how Rihanna’s net worth would be now that she has an upcoming new beauty line.
“If @rihanna gets into the Hair Industry. Shouldn’t we start calling her Billion$GyalRiri #Fenty,” while someone mentioned how the Barbadian singer is working hard despite her multi-million empire.
“Fenty hair? At this point, Rihanna hustling y’all lol,” one tweeted.
Unfortunately, there are some who were dismayed over the singer’s business venture and questioned her music comeback.
“Rihanna trademarked Fenty Hair? Oh yeah, she’s never making music again,” one tweeted.
The same goes for an individual who expressed the same sentiment and pointed out her successful business but no new album.
“Can’t wait to be around the house in my Fenty furnitures, fenty skin on, in my savageXfenty, doing my Fenty hair, wearing fentyXpuma, while listening to absolutely NOTHING.”
Why Rihanna’s Fenty Fashion Label is Shutting Down
The buzz about Rihanna’s Fenty Hair comes after her Fenty Fashion line would be “put on hold,” as announced by LVMH.
In a statement, the parent company mentioned that it was a “mutual decision” between then and the iconic singer.
Moreover, both LVMH and the “Rude Boy” hitmaker, whose real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, vowed to focus on the long-term development of the “Fenty ecosystem.”
While Fenty’s ready-to-wear will be on hiatus, the French conglomerate, who runs Louis Vuitton, Dior, Sephora, and more, will still be supporting Riri’s brands such as Fenty Skin, Fenty Beauty, and her intimate apparel brand Savage X Fenty.
In a previous report cited by the BBC, fashion analysts think that the closure of her fashion label is due to the “steep” price tags compared to other brands.
Following her clothing line launch in spring 2019, Rihanna made history after she became the first black woman to head a luxury house with LVMH.

@dwreader is what you're looking for, omg their iwtv costume analyses are incredible.
@hellotailor also has great iwtv clothing posts.
I've only done a handful of metas, on matador!Lestat's 1x5 - 1x7 pajamas, black!Louis' haircare & the color symbolism of his power suits, and Daciana's Romanian clothes in 2x1. I'm working on one about S2 Claudia's hair but it's taking forever.
is there content anywhere about the historical accuracy (pro or con) of the costumes in iwtv? i'm not familiar enough with historical fashion to know how well the show did, but i desperately want to know.

Madam C.J. Walker
An American entrepreneur, Madam C.J. Walker (1867-1919) is today remembered as the first self-made millionaire in America.
Born Sarah Breedlove in Delta, Louisiana, Walker was the youngest of six siblings and the first freeborn person in her family. She was orphaned by the age of seven and only received three months of formal education, total, before she began working as a domestic servant as a child. She married for the first time at age 14, and after her husband's death would marry twice more, though both of these marriages ended in divorce.
In 1888, she moved with her daughter, Lelia, to St. Louis and began working as a laundress, living near her brothers who were barbers. Walker suffered from dandruff and baldness until she learned to take care of her hair from her brothers and sold products for Annie Malone (another Black entrepreneurial woman who sold haircare products). Malone would later become Walker's largest rival.
Walker set up shop in Denver, Colorado. She sold door-to-door and through the mail, selling products and teaching other Black women how to take care of their hair. She set up a beauty parlor in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Lelia College to train women to work in it. She trained people in the "Walker System" to sell products as a way to empower Black women financially.
At its height, Walker's company employed thousands of women in multiple countries and she trained women in budgeting and financial literacy. She was vocal about her support of building Black wealth through the establishment of a YMBA in a Black neighborhood, supporting the Tuskegee Institute, and other Black educational institutions. She donated to the NAACP and the NACWC and helped to finance the preservation of Frederick Douglass's house. She was also a patron of the arts, living in the middle of the Harlem Renaissance. Walk commissioned Vertner Tandy, the first Black architect in New York City, to design her house.
While Madam C.J. Walker is the first confirmed self-made female millionaire in America, it is worth noting that some sources suggest Mary Ellen Pleasant, a Black woman active in the California Gold Rush, did so first. Check back tomorrow to learn more about Pleasant, her philanthropy, and her abolition work!)

unpopular opinion : I think Louis is more of a health freak than harry I mean I know harry is not the "kale drinking freak" as much as they portray but Idk how but Louis gives the vibes that he has a strict routine for skin& hair u know the specific lotions, best haircare products, face masks, an all that ,harry feels moe of a gym working out guy ,I can properly imagine Louis mumbling abt he missed one of his beauty routine cause of harry lmao being the biggest drama queen, sir drop the secrets
Could be but they literally give us no glimpse into their life so we’ll never know 😔
#if harrys a gym lad then he probably also pays attention to what he eats tbh so 🤷🏽♀️#maybe they should do a daily routine video
