Brew #338: Alewife Brewing Company & Lough Gill Brewing Co. Lupulin Vibrations NEDIPA
Tumblr media
Abv: 8.4%
Served: From the fridge
Aroma: Mango, grapefruit, banana, pineapple
Pour: Dank, fully clouded and greyish yellow, with a frothy white head.
Taste: Big juicy wash of sharp citrus and tropical fruit; spiky grapefruit, cedar and faint pineapple coalesce with a light fruity sweetness. Mouth feel is full on juice and carbonation is medium soft with a good, decent bite to finish. Lots of fresh prickly pine in there. Aftertaste is pineapple and cedar and this is lovely with a real kick off the abv in the head but not on the mouth.
Notes: 440ml can, malted barley, flakes oats, wheat, hops - Idaho Gem, Mosaic.

Brew #333: Lough Gill Brewing Co. Dark Majik Imperial Oatmeal Coffee Cream Stout
Tumblr media
Abv: 11%
Served: Off the shelf
Aroma: Dark chocolate malt, coffee, cream, sharp metallic tang, alcohol
Pour: Cola black with dark fizzing tan head that dissipates to nowt
Taste: Tart coffee bitters wash with smooth silky mouthfeel and a big alcohol tang underneath. Soft carbonation with warm chocolate and roast malt notes abounding. Very little grain but there’s a hint of vanilla and the aftertaste is cream and chocolate dessert. Good kick off it and a nice imperial stout but not the most exciting I’ve ever tasted. A decent warm chocolatey vibe
Notes: 440ml can

Brew #329: Hopfully Brewing Co. & Lough Gill Brewing Co. Bean Around Hazelnut Flat White Stout
Tumblr media
Abv: 7.2%
Served: Off the shelf
Aroma: Ash, coffee, milk
Pour: Cola black with tan froth bubbling down to nowt.
Taste: Sweet nutty wash with background chocolate and coffee bitters. Lots of ash and soft malt too. The nuts are subtle but there’s lots of milk. Not enough hazelnut really and a bit over sweet but tasty nonetheless. Smooth mouth with medium carbonation and aftertaste of ash and milk. At 7.2% it’s a deceptive little sup, sweet and serious!
Notes: 440ml can, hazelnut extract, milk sugar, coffee.
