Despite making Deiamachy Opera, I felt like I had to take at least one shot at designing Robot Masters--or more accurately, Mistresses--that don't look like Idiot's First Sprite Edit.

In particular, I wanted to see how far I could bend the rules; the one I set for myself was that not a single strand of hair could spill out from under their helmets.

Notes and guff:

The idea for Plumewoman came first, because I cannot get enough peafowl.

Chainwoman is the oldest RM here, having been first made around 2010. She got a fresh coat of paint and a fraternal twin in the form of Driftwoman.

Ghostwoman was originally "Chalicewoman", a robot nun; her design completely failed to manifest until I merged that concept with "phantom thief".

RM no. 7 was going to be "Lotuswoman", a plant-element ballet dancer... and then I decided that it wouldn't be a great idea to have two flower-bots on the same team. :U And so, she got replaced last-minute with the Mirrorwomen, a pair of robot toddlers who attack with fire and ice. Make 'em stand on each other's shoulders and you've almost got a whole Robot Mistress.
