You guys ever have an image that just didn’t want to turn out no matter what you did, but you were stubborn and were like; fuck it, I’m finishing this even if it's the worse piece ever? This is it for me. I think the final product is passible though a bit busy (and one of a kind as I used to do many different brushes, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to remember them all). I tried to make the lines look like the image was done with an ink pen. Anyhow, this is my first version of Overblotted Silver.

Silver’s armor is based on Aurora’s blue outfit. His colors are from Aurora when she was hypnotized by Maleficent. He’s supposed to be slumped over and look hollow, like an empty shell without hope, as he’s lost everything he once fought for. This is partly inspired by old Prince Phillip when Maleficent promises to let him go after a hundred years. I wanted to be able to show Silver without the ink stains but messed up my layering and it was too late to fix it when I noticed. This was my first time drawing a horse, and I just couldn’t find the reference I needed so winged it and this is the result. The horse’s hair is based on Sleeping Beauty and was supposed to be thorny, but drawing the thorns was annoying, so I gave up.

The Phantom is based on none other than Sleeping Beauty with a spinning wheel always turning behind her. Her dress is supposed to be like a mist or a cloud, which I got close enough. I like how the head turned out with the ink spilling out. That said, I’m not sure if I’ll use her in future versions as I want to focus on the “sword of truth and righteousness part of him.” (He is supposed to be twisted from Philip's sword, after all.) But I mostly like how she turned out, though I’m kicking myself for missing the torso designs.

The background is concept art of Maleficent's castle because I haven't learned to draw backgrounds yet. Nothing to say there except--Disclaimer, I do not own that part but the rest is all mine. Except for the shield. That too was edited in.

Anyway, I hope ya’ll like it. I’m curious how others imagine over-blot Silver and his Phantom.

Working two jobs is draining as all hell so I hope you've been able to find time for yourself outside of it <3 That sky fic was really nice to write too, even if it was a bit shorter than I planned for it to be. As for lore - I've been fleshing out his background a bit but I'm still uncertain on a few things For certain I think It would be interesting for him to be a member of the church of dragon communion, since dragons are more worshipped by the rest of the chain and then you just have this fucker/aff who eats their hearts to gain abilities a friend of mine also suggested that he could have a second nickname of elden, in tune with the boys tending to have two nicknames or more (like wars/captain or wind/sailor) it would also match how the nicknames seem to be given!! one is what they quested for and the other is something they 'are'

as for him taking maidens? :3 I've been wanting to write a bit for him I won't lie, cause I've had the idea of him possibly being self aware too

It's been a while since I've even touched my playstation, but with my switch all but turning into a brick the last time I tried to play anything but a zelda game. Well there's no reason not to try play on something else. "Shame... booking a repair slot is a headache that I'd rather not have to deal with." That can wait though, till I have the energy to do it that is. In the meantime I've got other games that I've been neglecting. When is the last time that I played elden ring actually? It's gotta have been at least a year, I remember setting up a link look alike character before totk came out but... Oh wow that would have been the last time I played wouldn't it? I don't think I even got far, so maybe picking that save back up won't be to much of an issue. ... I could have sworn it wasn't possible to have your character so close to the screen. For the Ishimondo hcs... I imagine Mondo having trouble falling asleep, specially near other people because he's always on defense mode (he has PTSD, no one can change my mind) but near Taka he just sleeps very peacefully with no trouble at all

ALSO Taka being the type of person who wakes up too easily meanwhile Mondo sleeps like a ROCK, the world could explode and Mondo would continue a mimir

ough YEA I already see mondo as more of a night owl so him having trouble falling asleep makes sense to me. I can also see him getting nightmares/night terrors which also prevent him to sleep peacefully so that combined with having to sleep with someone else is just. not a great time for him RAHHG but ...taka....grabs him and shakes him. Maybe it's due to how close they are that mondo gets calmer when sleeping by him? I can definitely imagine that after a particularly bad nightmare mondo ends up opening up about his trauma related nightmares to taka (even if taka wasn't there to necessarily see him have a nightmare). Then from that point on it just helps him sleep better knowing that taka is right by his side.

also, I feel like mondo would snore, and since you mentioned that you hc taka as being a light sleeper I can imagine him just. Waking up every now and then because he hears something and then turns out it's mondo snoring loud as hell

or like they're sleeping/having a sleepover whatever and there's something going on outside. Mondo wouldn't even budge while takas eyes open wide immediately once he hears the noise. He'd probably hear crickets and wake up for sure 😭

Thinking way too much about this but man I can imagine a situation where they both NEED to wake up. Idk something important or they both are late to something and taka immediately waking up and trying to wake up mondo (also struggling to get off the bed because of mondo clinging onto him),, hes gotta fuckin push or shake him around tho cause mondos such a heavy sleeper not even takas yelling would wake him up</3
