I have finally posted the first chapter my new multi-chap fic, We Were Younger! It's a Life is Strange inspired fic where Noel gets the chance to change the life he had before his death, through the power of rewind powers! It's mostly Noel centric with plenty of Nischa, but most importantly, it will be interactive! There will be a few choices for people to make along the way that will determine the course of the story, so I hope people like it!

OK LONG POST HERE WE GO!!!

i had the absolute privilege of seeing WVU/metropolitan theater ride the cyclone not once, but twice this week (opening and closing nights!!)

and lemme tell ya it was AMAZING. definitely one of my favorite casts/productions i’ve seen. so here’s the thoughts:

number one: it was overall very similar to 2016 original cast!! many of the actions were played very similarly to that one,, but it was also very different. bc script changes (i still miss ricky conceding, love conquers all and oceans line about not knowing/caring abt people in life and regretting it though) but also bc there were puppets. more on that later lol

-the set was AMAZING, here’s a picture i took from today before it started

and going off of that. fuckin look at karnak!!!!! he’s so cool! reminds me of a muppet in the best way lol

-i also swore that virgil was wearing an ‘in case i make it’ by will wood shirt. i don’t actually think he was for a few reasons lol but i do think it was a very similar design fghgfd

-i love the uranium suite choreo so much. ocean put SO MUCH into those little scoop thingys fhsjhd but whenever they Died,, the round and round part,, the choreo looked more like the choreo from way back during waiting for the drop and i LOVE THAT. i miss that song a lot too.

-THEY ALSO DID THE WOO!! BEFORE THE END AND I LOVE THAT TOO!!!!!

-the layout of the coaster was cool: it was

OK,, JANE DOE: i love her design in this one. she had pink ribbons on her pigtails and big ole eyelashes and i LOVE HER.

-she also had a comb for her dolly and used it to stab it while she was talking abt the lion thing. it was really funny fhsjhd

-her way of talking was also really cool. she broke off the sentences in different places than what i’ve heard before and just kind of had more of a sort of curious and clueless way about her. it was like “and so. i walk alone and wonder. why?” and just. her <3333 she was so good.

-during oceans little monologue (her speech) before what the world needs,, jane also put her head on constance’s shoulder and just. amazing. it was so funny she’s so sweet fhsjhd

-during the new birthday song (or. after it while they’re all talking) she was also super cute.. like played around w her party hat and ricky’s little xylophone thing he was playing for the song. i just think she’s great fhsjdh

ok back to The Rest,,

-seeing the upop bits was hilarious. like i’ve read them and seen a few performances of it,, but seeing it live was so good fhjshd also constance’s costume had such cute details!! she had rainbow details on her shoes and a couple enamel pins on her pinafore!

-constance and ocean also did their little handshake thing as part of their dance during its just a ride and that made me almost cry too fhsjdh

-they added “prestigious university” into oceans list of Reasons She’s The Best or whatever. it’s funny bc wvu is Not At All That lol hdjshdjs (edit: finally reread the new script and Yes that’s in there but it is still Really funny lol)

-ok what the world needs was so funny. love love love ocean (she’s the worst!!) but this one was like. manic abt it in the best way. her riff at the end was hilarious too. a lot of “ooooh i’m better than youuuu and youuuu and allllll of youuuohooooohohohooooo” it was great. also the turntable was super cool in this show bc it was like a mini stage which helped w levels and stuff too! (another note abt this ocean, she definitely made her own choices but she also rlly reminded me of tiffany which was fun!!)

-this noel was. SO gay. they all are. but This One. GODDAMN!! he was awesome. he did the intro monologue in a much more dramatic way than khobly (still referencing my 2016 thoughts) ..like kholbys version was kinda done like. noel was slightly embarrassed not abt who he was but like,, more so circumstancial stuff if that makes sense? he got excited abt the whole missing teeth thing and all, right. (just to give a reference on how these noels are different!!) this noel was drawn out dramatic through the wholeeeee thing. he was amazing.

-the taco bell picture comes up and mischa’s like hahahhaa the Fuck lol and noel starts like pouting. “what is That” “i was hoping you could tell me” “NO!!☹️” bro sounded like he was bout to cry dhshdh he was so good

-OK THE QUICK CHANGE!! y’all know how he kinda strips in 2016 and Other versions? NOPE THIS ONE WAS ALLLL TEARAWAY!! it happened so fast,, he was like FINE *RIP* and BOOM lingerie. it was incredible. he also wore on of those long fluffy flowy “i just killed my husband for the money” robes. y’all he looked so good

-today was especially great. noel’s lament was insane. i have literally never heard a louder audience for anything. every time he’d do anything people would scream (bc he was fucking killing it) and when he went down to “die” the first time. he just kinda sat and did the little wave to get people to make more noise. it was amazing. i wish i could’ve fuckin videod or some shit bc it was soooo good.

-mischa. mischa bachinski. this guy was perfect for him (i am so sorry i don’t know the actors names by the way). tbh i love when mischa’s short. and bouncy. his rage was a lot of jumping and punching air and just. i loved that for him. TSIA was hilarious as usual, it always is. i really liked how they Made a jet with their arms on that line,,, but TALIA. she was actually an actress on stage and they did the whole dance together and then she ran away on the last OOOOOHHHHHHHHHH and it was SO good wtf. talia Always gets me so this was so exception for sure.

-this entire cast is definitely one of my favorites for sure. but tHIS RICKY IS BY FAR MY FAVORITE ONE EVER. he was incredible y’all. like they all were but. ricky. his choices like. landed SO perfectly every time. “i’m tellin’ you right now, monkeylovedrop! :)” SHIT WAS AMAZING (not to mention i didn’t know abt ricky’s new background in the script so that was also fucking hilarious.)

-not to mention the way he did the very end section of the song the way alex did,, like melody wise?? i LOVE THAT (i just like hearing it that way more lol) so that made me super happy.

-oh and remember how i said there were puppets? i fuckin WISH i could’ve taken a picture of it. the zolarians were cat puppets that came out from the alcoves on the sides of the stage and they were fuckin NEON BLUE AND GREEN with holographic details. no one was ready for that but it was PERFECT DFGHJGFGH

-also the actual sabm costume??? he was glittery and neon and flared pants and heeled boots and neon green cat ears and he LOOKED SO MF GOOD HAHAHAHA

-the energy of the whole fucking show was so amazing. especially today (closing performance). people were cheering through the whole damn thing it was perfect.

-TBOJD: the way she said MY TURN!!! was so cute. it was like !! MY TURNNNN !! all excited and drawn out a little. good for her.

—but mainly. there were 2 things happening here. 1) the actress was AMAZING. i think she also may be one of my favorite janes ever. she did this Thing with her hands at one point,, and i can’t really describe it,, but it was like she was just trying to make sure she could still Feel. and it was rlly cool. 2) MORE PUPPETS!?!?!?! this time it was when the music kicked up,,, the rest of the choir was doing their own sick choreo but there were also uhhh big ass worms among them too. they were actually pretty cool.. big teeth and the way they moved was really fun to watch but it did feel a touch overcrowded at times 🙃

-THE OTHER THING WAS THE FLIGHT!!!!! SHE STILL FLEW!! she didn’t go upside down or spin but the fact she went up as high as she did (like above the spinny thing on the stage part of the set) was incredible. and yes ofc she absolutely MURDERED THOSE HIGH NOTES IN THE BEST WAY POSSIBLE. i was mentally taking notes on her techniques the entire time fhsjhd (fun fact,, after the song today when i cheered/screamed for my applause i did in fact hit the note dhjshd it was a surprisingly supported one too lol)

-sugar cloud: JANE STARTED THE CHOREO AND THEN THEY ALL DID IT AFTER HER <33333 i will always love how sugar cloud is just Them uninhibited. it’s so good that way. this constance was also SO good with the way she did the monologue too. there were a few strong hints of regret but overall it was just Acceptance and moving forward and just hnnnnnnn she was wonderful.

-AND THEN THERE WERE MORE PUPPETS!!!! legit just little blobs of color that danced a little bit too. very cute, very constance fhsjhd my friend said the orange one was her favorite character and stole the show even lol. they were very expressive hfjdh

-there were a LOT of points where the audience were clapping along too and it made me sooooo happy. there was a part in noel’s lament, talia, and sugar cloud and just <333

-another few points that i saw throughout the show,, noel and constance besties. they were always hangin around each other.. same w mischa and constance. she’d make her quips against ocean and mischa’d be like YEAAHHHHHHH!! legit heard constance go-after the upop drugs bit- “yeah! you liked that one!! i’d been working on it for a bit!” <333

-really maybe just noel besties with everyone bc he also gave jane like. a Good hug before she left.. <33

-last thing that had me Dying,, noel also went up to ocean and put his hand on her shoulder and stood real close to her after she made her final vote. and ocean looked at him and leaned into it. and just. the growth from them both for that <3333 they’re so special to me.

-legit i think the only remote criticism i have is that it’s just a ride went SO FUCKING FAST???? like i don’t think y’all are taking enough of a look around at that speed lol.. it just wasn’t enough time to rlly enjoy how good that song is yknow.

overall wvu rtc completely blew me away and i desperately hope SOMEONE has a slime tutorial of it because GODDAMN THAT VERSION WAS GOOD!!! i need more ppl to talk abt it dhjshdj

The Choir’s favorite owl house characters 

Ocean- Luz. She loves how Luz can just be unapologetically herself. She wishes she could be like her. One time she found a shirt that looked like Luz’s hoodie. She bought it without hesitation. She also relates to Luz setting snakes on the school by accident. It’s a long story and she’d rather not talk about it but she did a report on snakes in 10th grade and let’s just say that was the only time Ocean got detention. Doodles glyphs on her notebooks sometimes. 

Constance- Amity. She sees herself in her in way. Not the whole bully thing but the being what other people want thing. She loves Amity’s character arc as well. Also a HUGE Lumity stan. She cried when they got together. She loves to write aus focusing on Amity. She made her own replica of Amity’s moon necklace and wears it with pride. Like Ocean she doodles on her notebooks too except she draw abominations.

Penny- She has two favorites, Hooty and King. Hooty because he’s weird, powerful, eats bugs, and just wants a friend. Like her! She loves his friendship with Lilith and has a shirt with his face on it. Which she parades around in every chance she gets. She loves King because he is a cutie pie and so fluffy looking. Also he’s the King Of Demons and very good boy. Noel got her a King plushie for her birthday and she cradles it like a baby. For their anniversary, Ricky got her a necklace with that was Hooty’s face. She wears that one everyday.

Noel- Eda. She’s everything he wants to be. Hot, a lot of exes, hasn’t spoken to one person that they truly loved in the past 20 years, wanted by the cops, and a total bad ass. He loves Eda’s personality and dreams of pranking the school like she did. He has a brown owl plushie that he named Owlbert. Owlbert has a stick that he sits on to become a staff. Secretly considers Ocean to be the Lilith to his Eda. Not that he’d tell anyone that. Noel also adores her sense of style and wants to have her long hair. He started giving everyone nicknames like Eda does and everyone wears them like a badge of honor. 

Ricky- Willow. He gets what it’s like to be underestimated like her. He loves how she found her passion with flyer derby. He loves plants and has his own little flower garden that he works on. Though he made the garden after watching the show. One day out of boredom he made the little flower clip Willow has. He wears it all the time when his hair gets in eyes. Used a 3D printer to make Clover(don’t worry, he made everyone a palismen). 

Mischa- Gus. He gets what it’s like to be put in a new environment and hoping to make friends but getting tricked. Luckily he found his Willow in Ricky. He also loves how Gus is a bit of a troublemaker. He also relates to Gus when it comes to illusions because he secretly knows magic tricks caused by optical illusions. Also wants a pet chameleon.

Ricky: pan and genderqueer (any prns + neos), wore cat ears in middle school, keeps shipping the choir with each other, puts stickers on all their mobility aids, draws on their hands when bored, ADHD haver (ricky potts is many things, neurotypical is not one of them), listens to hatsune miku and lemon demon, lucid dreams a lot, besties with penny, really musically talented, colombian, dyslexic (still can read though! *cough* ocean *cough*), star trek game theory and fnaf fan, got noel into warrior cats briefly in middle school, emoticons emoticons emoticons!!!, hangs out with ocean at the library sometimes and they just read in silence the whole time, originally made zolar as a way to pass time during the 2-hour-long car rides to the hospital and it eventually became a form of escapism, fanfiction writer

RTC headcanons: Constance Edition!

Constance didn’t like her first name growing up. She thought it was too long and it felt like a “grandma” name, so she wanted everyone to call her Connie, but her parents revealed to her she was named after her great-grandmother who wanted her to be as successful and happy as possible, so she kept her long name

Connie doesn’t like confrontation, we know that, so instead of being upfront about a topic, she can and will beat around the bush until someone asks her if it’s bothering her

Constance’s little brother’s name is Conrad, Connie loves TSITP and begged her parents to name her baby brother after Belly’s love interest

Conrad’s first word was “Con-Con,” which he uses in reference to Constance, and he will frequently run around the house shouting, “Con-Con! Con-Con!” and Constance will be gushing with pride

Connie and Ricky were actually super close before they died. Ricky noticed Connie was upset one day and he wrote her a note asking what was wrong. She and Ocean had had a fight and Connie was nervous bc Ocean suggested they end their friendship, so he drew her a few cat pictures and she loved them. She learned ASL with his help and the help of his interpreter, and she will frequently just sign with him for hours

Constance takes LOTS of cooking classes. She wanted to run the Blackwood Cafe when she was older and her mother taught her everything she knew, and she learned more exotic dishes to help her grow her culinary experience

Constance was a little intimidated by Mischa. She thought he was a juvenile delinquent, or a thug, but when she found him texting his girlfriend behind the bleachers at school, she talked to him for a little and he started talking all about Talia and she realized he’s actually just a big softie

Constance never got to know Penny when they were alive. Sure she’d see that girl in the choir with the brown pigtails, and sometimes they’d talk, but she never made an effort to be friends with her. In the afterlife, that’s one of her biggest regrets

Noel and Constance’s friendship is a little odd, because Ocean loved to hate him and Noel despised Ocean’s mannerisms, but since Noel’s mom would always ask the Blackwoods to look after Noel on days she had too much work, he and Connie bonded as kids and are decent friends as teens

Connie’s favorite movie genre is romantic comedy, no you cannot say anything about it, but she does love a good tragedy every so often

Constance is actually jealous of Ocean’s superiority and pride bc she wishes she wasn’t so shy and could actually be as in control of her life as Ocean was

Connie is an asexual lesbian who had the BIGGEST crush on Ocean. She was so in love with her she never really understood that Ocean was using her a step stool until after they died

I Discovered A Treasure

And it’s called “Ride The Cyclone” by Brooke Maxwell and Jacob Richmond. Holy crap, I couldn’t stop listening to the soundtrack all week and Annapantsu made a banger of a cover on “The Ballad of Jane Doe” on YouTube.

I love all of the characters; Ocean’s hilarious and gets a good redemption, Constance is great when she stands up for herself and finally sings as the lead, Mischa and Noel are absolutely adorable together--whether you read their bond as a close friendship or something more romantic, it’s cute no matter what--Ricky’s song about space cats came out of NOWHERE but I’m here for it, and Jane Doe stole the show because of Emily Rohm’s performance. 

They really are written like teenagers, too, with funny references that don’t sound like they’re trying too hard to be relatable. I keep smiling maniacally at work because a quote will suddenly pop into my head like Mischa calling red-headed Ocean “little orphan a-hole” in his Ukrainian accent or Constance singing “I hope I wiped my browser history clean” when she realizes she died. 

Though, sadly, I have to say that while I adore this play, it can’t surpass “Next To Normal” by Brian Yorkey and Tom Kitt as my number one favorite musical. If you haven’t listened to the soundtracks of either of these, I highly recommend as long as you’re okay with dark themes like death. There’s... There’s a lot of that, haha.

also- how she feels about each choir member individually-

noel- i NEED them to be friends. the only two out kids in uranium. they stick together and paint eachothers nails and gossip and noels mom is like the only parent that likes her. they also daydream together about what it would be like to get out of uranium, share crush stories, etc.

penny- mad respect. she’s like if river just went HAM. like rivers actually just like a pretty respectable lad despite being viewed as feral. she treats everyone nicely and bonds with every teacher who isn’t horribly religious and therefore uses the religion to justify homophobia… anyways that’s off topic. anyways she likes her like i think they don’t really talk much but they get along so well whenever they do

mischa- hes… intimidated by mischa’s whole rapper persona thing and doesn’t really know what to make of mischa. thinks his fiancée is fake but pretends like she believes him because she wants it to be real for him. i think she can tell that talia brings out a very sweet and passionate side of him so she hopes that she’s real despite having serious doubts… but to be fair she might also have online friends some who’s she to judge. also tries super hard to understand him bc in my universe nischa is at least half real and noel def had a crush on mischa for at least a bit so she tries to see beyond the autotune rap

ocean- oceans… well… a lot. i think she knows about oceans weird hippy parents so she tries to get along with her and not judge her. but you already know she’s gossiping about her with noel. girl says some batshit stuff sometimes and you gotta tell your fellow queer about that. they don’t make up the rules (shrug emoji)

ricky- doesn’t really get to know them all that well i think? like i think they are all for like who ricky reveals themselves to be during the actual events of rtc and they gain a new level of respect for ricky but like… they don’t really know too much about him before then? like don’t get me wrong they get along well and they have the kind of friendship where they say hi to eachother in the halls. maybe they compliment eachothers funky accessories and crap but like they just don’t go out of their way to talk to eachother if that makes sense?

connie- i would DIE for constance anyways uh. again i don’t think they’re like besties but they get along. they tell eachother jokes and giggle about silly little choir things. river might’ve had a little crush on constance like in middle school because she like is nice to her in a time where not many people are. and that encourages other people to be kind to her!!! and he gets a little crush but is over it within the first few months of being in choir together. she admires constance’s generosity but they don’t really hang out like outside of school one on one. only w/ the rest of the choir

I watched the Saturday stream, and I documented my thoughts because hyperfixation goes brrrr

HEADS UP

there was a lot of ableism in the chat (I do discuss what it entails below so you’ve been warned) so I was distracted at the end of the stream

-Karnak’s frantic tone during the accident + freeze frame moment, very cool

-them holding up the prizes

-Constance’s mumbled “sorry”

-post-possession Noel and Mischa stuff is so good (the o.e face and shoulder shake)

-I don’t like Ricky’s disability being stolen again, but I do like the fact that they’re happy that he’s happy, seems to be “bro”ing it up with Mischa a bit, I do love that

-JANE! (OVERANALYZES LIKE CRAZY) The way she tips her head a lot like it doesn’t fit her body comfortably. She sounds so timid…awww, honey…she moves a bit like her body is off-balance from the new head, I love the details

-I see evidence of platonic (at least) spacedolls already. Ricky waved at Jane!!!

-BREASTMILK CHEESE SANDWICH EATING BLEGH

-even in the “ocean’s life” segment Jane’s movements are just a BIT off. I think it’s cool when the Jane is taller in the cast, makes me think of a Barbie/pos

Poor gal seems real uncomfy in those lenses tho, can’t blame her

-all of the cast looks like they’re having the time of their life

-Mischa’s mannerisms are already cracking me up

-I am appreciating Noel very much in this production tbh, very sharp-tongued and excellent emoting in the face

-Jane’s delivery of That One Line (I hear it gives you an—)

-despite the small theatre and tech limits because of that, they really do well getting the point across with the props

-gosh props to Noel that change takes too long even in the main show, but he works it

-RICKY’S LIL SHIMMY IN THE BEGINNING OF NOEL’S LAMENT AND HE SEEMS TO ACTUALLY BE PLAYING ACCORDION!!!

-CAN ALL MISCHAS EVERYWHERE STOP BEING SO PRETTY, RESPECTFULLY!!

-THAT NOIR FILM IN THE BACK, I LOVE!

-ngl I’m in love with this Ricky

-these dances are so fun!

-not a ton of Nischa in here with the end of the lament but—

-them adding improv in ESGAL is a bit silly, but oh, RuPaul ref. That blindsided me lol

-RICKY AND JANE ARE GROOVING TO MISCHA’S INTRO TOGETHER AWWWW THEYRE HAVING SO MUCH FUN!!!

-they seem to be sort of un-possessed in TSIA, and Mischa seems a bit more friendly in this production so I think that fits decently

-RICKY HAS A LOW RANGE HEYYYY (Debby Ryans)

-I love how they try to make it like he can’t remember his rap—or can he actually not remember? Either way they played it off like it was on purpose and I appreciate that

-interesting how Jane’s a stand-in for Talia, cuz she could be anyone, she’s a blank body sorta

-I love the dances so so much, how they seem to be fencing Mischa in, and HE SINGS SO WELL, they did their best with the projector and got it across

-The way he just SITS DOWN AWWWW HON HE LOOKS SO SAD

-NOEL AND MISCHA HUG? NOEL AND MISCHA HUG!!!! AWWWWW IM CRYIN they seem so genuine about that whole part! person I’ve tagged said they noticed Mischa is audibly crying for quite a bit, poor dear

-again, Mischa encourages Ricky, I appreciate this! They see the Ricky and Mischa friendship supremacy!!!

-Mischa and Jane acting like generally strange parents and tHE FAKE ACTION SCENES which I genuinely think should have been in the original

-the implication that zolar daydreams came from food poisoning, this poor lad, I know it’s not exclusive to this version but dang

-this Ricky is just very captivating, I think this is a part that takes a lot of…uhhh, chutzpah, to play

-(sees Jane being a very passionate kitty) … (adds to spacedolls evidence folder)

-hehe I love that Mischa is Count Dogula

-also that black hole sound frequency reference made me so happy (“68 octaves below the middle C”)

-this Mischa has ADHD imo and I live for it

-AW JANE HAS SUCH A TINY MEMORY BOX. …big enough for a head. Cruel.

-they really worked with what they had for the background on Jane’s song. The way she blends into the scenery fits. That’s what she’s been doing this whole show. Also her trying so hard to grab her memory box and it’s always out of reach ;A;

-HER VOICE IS EXCELLENT this is impressing me in a bigger way than I thought it would

-the shadows moving!!! the way she can kind of recall knowing them, but not enough to know their faces or names

-the circling with the lights does make me think she’s falling, and the fact that she’s holding an umbrella…and sounds like she’s crying at the end…she’s so alone dude, I care her

-that last note was like a final scream

-Noel and Jane interaction!!! something I never see!!! I love it!

-Ricky is so gentle with Jane ;-;

-THEYRE HAVING FUN!!! SO CUTE!!!

Do I have criticism? Uhhh well it wasn’t perfect but hey, from what I saw they didn’t have a ton to work with (nobody’s fault there) and they used their resources well.

ok ok ok so

noel (charlie) is the only (out) gay kid in the all-boys school, his best friend is ricky (tao), and they bond over being outcasts. ricky is a lot of noel's impulse control and vice-versa. They also have a mutual friend, penny (elle), who just transferred to the all-girls school in Uranium. there, penny meets ocean (tara) and constance (darcy), who are secretly dating, but aren't ready to tell anyone yet. in addition, talia (imogen, im basing this off the netflix series bite me-) goes to the all-girls school.

enter mischa bachinski, the new kid in noel's homeroom. ricky doesn't trust mischa at first because of course, ricky, noel, and penny have been outcasts their whole lives. noel sits next to mischa, kickstarting their friendship and noel's newfound crush.

talia quickly becomes friends with mischa, they bond over both being ukrainian, and mischa is adopted into her friend group.

they become really good friends, and, although ricky is happy for noel, he can't help but not trust him. he hears in passing that mischa spends a lot of time with ocean, and tells noel and penny about it. penny finds out that ocean has been helping mischa with his english and catching up from his move to canada, and that ocean and constance are dating.

mischa, as he is getting closer to noel, is starting to have questions about his own sexuality. he tries not to let this get in the way of his friendship with noel.

mischa is invited to a big party hosted by the wealthiest kid in Uranium. talia, who has a lowkey crush on mischa, asks him to invite her, to which he says yes. he then invites noel, because he thats who he really wants to hang out with. he considers noel his closest friend.

at the party, mischa is cornered by his friends, who know about how close he is with ocean. they talk, and ocean mentions that she and constance are dating, to which mischa is shocked but happy for them. he then is cornered by a very drunk talia, who tells him that she likes him, in vague english terms, because english is the worst and most vague language. he brushes her off, looking for noel, who wandered off somewhere while he was being cornered.

meanwhile, ocean and constance decide its time for them to let loose, and let themselves dance and have fun together and kiss in public (lets go lesbians).

he and noel meet back up, and they end up in some far, quiet corner of the venue, where mischa is emotionally vulnerable about how hes confused about his sexuality. they kiss, its cute, but mischa is cornered by his friends again. noel has a panic attack and leaves the party, and mischa is all :(( when he can't find him again.

meanwhile meanwhile, ricky and penny have a movie night, and they talk about how ricky is scared hes being replaced in noel's life. noel and penny are the only people to ever give ricky the time of day, so watching noel get close with someone else and not having penny at school is really bothering him. penny promises ricky that nothing will change between them, and they cuddle and watch movies for the rest of the night.

the next day, mischa shows up to noel's house in the rain, apologizing for being confused. they talk, and agree to keep whatever's going on between them a secret. they start sitting together at lunch, away from ricky, and mischa starts feeling bad about making noel keep them a secret.

ocean and constance start coming out more publicly, talia asks ocean of she and mischa are together, to which constance is exasperated (she loves her gf <3).

a few days later, talia asks mischa out in front of all their mutual friends, to which mischa says yes to get the attention off of himself. ricky and penny overhear this. noel then invites mischa to his birthday party, on the same day as mischa and talia's date.

mischa ends up talking to talia about it, letting her down gently enough, and they remain good friends. talia is so slay.

mischa goes to noel's party, ricky and penny are also there. ricky ends up telling noel about the mischa/talia thing, warning noel to not get too invested. noel is hurt, but, when he gets a moment alone with mischa, he explains what happened and all is forgiven.

penny decides its a good idea to introduce ocean and constance to ricky and noel, combining her friend groups. noel and constance get along swimmingly, noel and ocean bicker, in a mostly friendly way.

mischa, in his confusion, tells ocean and constance about his identity issues, and tells them about him and noel. neither of them are surprised.

soon, ocean and constance start seeing how obliviously pining ricky and penny are, so, they decide to meddle. with noel's help, the six of them (including mischa), go on a triple date.

it goes well, and penny ends up finding out about noel and mischa, but they make her promise not to tell ricky. she agrees, but tells them that they should tell him soon.

ocean and constance end up locked in a practice room after the triple date, and ocean opens up about her insecurity in their coming out, to which constance reassures her that theyre in it together, and that things will be okay with time.

mischa and talia's friends notice that mischa is spending more time with noel, and invite him to hang out with them. they end up harassing noel about being gay. noel leaves early. mischa's firneds continue talking about noel, and one of them calls him the f slur. mischa proceeds to attempt to beat the shit out of him, and leaves, angry and confused and sad.

ricky finds out about noel and mischa, and is hurt that noel didn't tell him. he ignores noel's attempts to apologize, throwing himself at penny to make himself feel better.

noel is very insecure about his place in mischa's life, even attempting to figure out how to end whatever they have going on.

the all-boys school and all-girls school have a combined sports day, in which noel and ricky make up, and ricky and penny have a moment (tm)

at this point, mischa realizes that he doesn't care what other people think about him, as long as he has noel. he pulls noel aside and tells him such, noel cries, so does mischa, theyre both very "why are we like this"

the two of them have a day out, in which they go to the beach. mischa tells noel that he's ready to come out as bi. noel asks if this makes them boyfriends, mischa thought that that was obvious. theyre cute, i love them

The layers! Lip is the same age as Mickey, so that might have something to do with things. "Mama never really learned how to live by herself" (Line Without a Hook - Ricky Montgomery), I imagine Laura would really struggle after the kids are grown and moving on, especially with her addiction.

Lip and Laura are very similar as people. Laura was a smart underachiever in school, and she's still very bright except without the education (I do think she eventually gets her GRE). They both had to help raise their siblings, both the second born kid. They're both rebels with bad childhoods, combative but deeply loyal to family. They're also much more vulnerable and fragile under the surface and struggle with addiction. (Both bi...). I think their friendship would blossom in season 6ish.

I also think there are a lot of things a lover can forgive you for that their mother would not, y'know? Ian has a bad habit of not really apologizing or acknowledging his past mistakes (a Gallagher trait lol), something I know a lot of fans still hold a grudge over. (I know some fans dislike Lip, and make him the villain in fics, but it couldn't be me!) Not to say Lip wasn't a bad partner to Mandy, but people aren't always logical or rational about who they like and don't like. I also like the idea of calling back to Ian's insecurity over being stuck in Lip's shadow. It would be tough to have your mother-in-law like your brother more than you. (Ian also says the wrong thing to Laura all the time because I think it's funny).

You've got the right idea! I was in that small crazy bubble of Lip x Mickey shippers after that disaster of a s6 prison scene. They have a lot in common and scenes with Noel and Jeremy are always so fun. Even to have them be antagonistic friends would be good lol, like they'd never admit they're each other's best friend.

I also have a little self-indulgent hc where Laura threw Mickey a pirate themed birthday party and had to invite his whole class, Lip's there and nobody comes to pick him up at the end :(. Ocean

Deodorant, specifically the kind that smells like artificial clean laundry. She sneaks it behind her parents backs and uses it in secret - their homemade soap is not effective and doesn't smell good, and she can only shower for 5 minutes to not waste water, so she has to so what she can.

WWY: Flowers, herbs and fruit. To compensate for the strong stench of weed in her home, she grows a lot of house plants and keeps flowers around, especially in her room. She would never admit to believing in her parents lifestyle methods, and largely she doesn't, but one time her mum taught her how to make natural perfume with those things, and she loves it.

Noel

Warm, with a hint of cigarette smoke, either from him, Misha or his mum. He wears perfume testers he took home, often the ones that have a long string of meaningless words like dark mysterious seductive before actually saying what's in it.

WWY: All of that but also he smells very clean. He does his own laundry frequently and showers daily, sometimes twice a day

Misha

Stinky teenage boy BO. The shittiest cheapest men's deodorant he can get. Damp. Not by choice, and he's actually very annoyed about it, because it's not what his mother taught him, but he has no other option.

WWY: Since staying with Noel, he smells a lot better, now living in a house with a shower and a washing machine he can actually use instead of a bucket and a tap. Noel probably had to hold him back from buying lynx africa and got him a good one

Is it lazy to say cats? Because he probably smells like his cats. He loves that though and wouldn't cover it up for anyone.

Constance

Sweet, warm and slightly a hint of fresh bread since bakery and all. She uses those 'made for tween girls' perfumes and has done since forever, and she always smells lovely.

WWY: Warm, fruit and woods, very soft gentle smell. Sort of like a muted candle scent. Very clean, and unsuspecting. She used to use unscented everything so she would be completely unnoticeable, but ever since she has grown into her friendship with the choir, she's experimenting more with standing out and expressing herself.
