I'm very excited on what you can whip out on that specific arc. Because I can imagine Loki just being dramatic after knowing Nari has the power of Thor ("For limited time only." - Thor) if he is also one of the kids that Gorr kidnaps in the Love and Thunder. Thank you! My family does an annual LOTR Extended Edition marathon for NYE, so we had some good fun just sitting around in our pajamas all day, watching some very lovingly made movies.

For scheduling, I'm looking to get the L+T arc out within the next three months. Didn't get quite as much writing done over the break as I wanted, but that's always the case. Look for chapters to start coming by the end of March.

Loki's gonna have to swallow some pride there, because I can't imagine Nari "obsessed with Mjolnir iconography" Lokisson the Younger is going to be anything less than ecstatic to have the Power of Thor, even if only for a limited time only. I'm not going to cut out Axl for a few reasons (I think I can rework him so that his origin makes more sense for my established character dynamics), but he and Nari are going to share some of the mechanical role in the story for certain.

Was let out of work early today, so just started up a Lord of The Rings Extended marathon for the NYE evening home.

Started up Fellowship just after 1:00pm, the entire marathon is just over 11 hours runtime so I should finish Return of the King just before midnight if skipping over credits.

Don’t be surprised if you see me spamming your dashboards with LOTR for the next 11 hours.

I’ve mentioned our annual NYE LOTR marathon a few times recently to friends who’ve never attended and it’s got me so freaking excited for our party! This year will be our 18th year doing it. I found the Arwen dress I made for the midnight showing of Return of the King 20 years ago and now I’m wondering if it’s a sign that we should all dress up for it this year…..

Simple seafood and salad for two, champagne, jazz radio and then a LOTR marathon, that'll do us for NYE (and half of New Year's Day). Just so I remember, the oysters are dressed with a spring onion and cucumber mignonette (rice wine vinegar and chilli); homemade cocktail sauce for the mighty king prawns; salsa made with avocado, corn, chargrilled capsicum, onion, squeeze of lime juice, pinch of salt and quarter teaspoon of sugar. I never got to do a LOTR marathon over the holidays either, but I did marathon Star Wars on nye so that kinda made up for it! And I have some annual leave coming up soon so you can find me 5 feet deep into my couch with a whole load of snacks crying over bilbo and Sam 👍🏻

What are you looking forward to?

I am very much looking forward to a few things! My oldest turns 18 towards the end of the month and she’s throwing a big party that involves dinner and dancing! I’m looking forward to Christmas and all the baking we do around that time! I’m looking forward to my middle daughter turning 16 before the end of the year! And finally I’m incredibly excited and looking forward to our 18th annual NYE LOTR marathon!
