I said in one of my previous posts that I headcanon Lotor as being disgustingly straight and I'd like to clarify

In my head Lotor is so straight it physically ills you

He's so straight he doesn't even know what the word 'gay' means

So straight he can't even fathom gay people

He has no idea two of his generals are lesbians. He just thinks they're really good friends.

And Team Voltron? He automatically assumes they're all straight too, and when he sees the Red Paladin and Blue Paladin sucking face in the hallway he just assumes the Red Paladin is a woman cause of that long hair.

And then the next time he sees Keith, Lotor's like "well hello miss", and gets a face full of fist

So straight that when Ezor tries to explain gay people to him while he's covering his face with an ice pack, he looks at her with a dumb expression

Headcanoning characters that i personally like that make me feel comfort as a disabled person because

YEAH

Keith, as a headcanon for us, has things hooked onto his legs to keep him up straight, although he sometimes has a cane that he can change into a weapon and usually has it on him. while Lance over here has prosthetic legs that were built specifically with altean tech and earth tech so he could jump higher/further and dash around faster. Plus he’s also partial blind in one eye and has this GIANT scar on the left side of his face running down to his thigh from an explosion

LOTOR, oh my man lotor, has this whole setup for him that was built with galran tech because he’s paralyzed from the waist down, so he has metal and machinery holding up his spine and legs, enabling him to move with just his own thoughts and its VOICE ACTIVATED. so he can just say something and it’ll move for him. He usually only does work when he has it on, but most of the time he doesnt use it enough and still gets uncomfortable when using it. He DOES have something in his spine to keep him upright as well.

Pidge is 100% a wheelchair user for me, and they’ll do little tricks in it whenever they can. When in the green lion, theres even a specific spot for it to go into whenever they ride in it. And i personally believe that they have modified their suit to make it so that it can easily move with just a nudge of their leg and also moves on its own. They can still technically move their legs, they just prefer not to because it hurts for them, plus it’s just weird for them to walk.

Request: Now that the requests are open I want to do one about Voltron (again), about Lotor headcanons with a reader who is like a pearl from Steven Universe, who probably was a "gift" from his governess, I imagine that reader @ is a very scared but sweet person who is afraid of disappointing Lotor and that he will throw them away because of that (traumas from the past before meeting him). I just want some comfort from one of my favorite Voltron characters💕

Reader: Gender neutral

Warnings: allusions/mentions of past abuse, reader at first treated more like an object than a person, fear of abandonment, somewhat confusing timeline for the sake of the plot? HURT with Comfort, Fluff, non-canon ending of Voltron for my sanity :') Lotor What have they done to you?

You come from a very... special planet to say the least.

Especially you were born in a social caste that was considered the lowest, so you were trained all your life to be the future accessory of a powerful person. As bad as it sounded.

This was obviously not a pleasant process, especially with the Garla empire breathing down your planet's neck.

You could say that you got especially ruthless training, the slightest mistake was severely reprimanded, only to know that if you did it in REAL practice you most likely wouldn't come out alive...

Then the Garla Empire took possession of your planet. Everyone was terrified of what could happen, YOU were terrified of what was going to happen to you.

But fortunately? You were given as a personal servant to the Garla, along with many others, in exchange for not destroying the planet completely.

But you were lucky enough that it was your turn to serve the Prince of the Garla, Lotor.

This was before the Paladins intervened, so even when they arrived, this still stood.

To say that you were scared was to say, you were terrified of what was going to happen. What if he was one of those super strict princes? What if he had a bad temper? What if he got angry with you and got physical? And If it hurts you? Or worse?

You set out to be as correct and upright as possible for this new position, apparently you would be a gift, well, maybe you don't have to do much, you can do this.

Dayak barely talks to you, although the first time you meet her is only so she can give you a checkup to make sure you live up to her expectations, and fortunately you are and she seems very satisfied.

Before meeting this "Lotor" she gives you a tour of the Garla main ship in a vague way so that you become familiar with everything and thus adapt quickly before seeing Lotor. The ship is GIANT so it takes a while.

Although at least with this you can hear some people talking and whispering about Lotor, apparently the winner of the "Kral Zera", the first Half-Blood emperor and Zarkon's heir...someone to have fear apparently.

Let's just say they didn't make you feel much better.

But at the end of the day you finally meet him. Is he together with what appear to be the paladins of Voltron? And Dayak makes his presence quite noticeable (poor paladin Blue and especially yellow).

Before retiring, Dayak introduced you to Lotor, as his new personal assistant, to serve him in any way he wanted.

To your surprise, Lotor seemed just as off guard as you, it seems that he had forgotten the deal with the Kral Zera matter, it is understandable, but it was especially shocking when he apologized to you because he could not introduce himself properly, since he had a VERY busy day with the Voltron thing...

....weren't you supposed to come help him with that? What Quiznak?

You tried to tell him that, that you could help him manage that, but he said no! That for now he could handle himself well, but that you should give him time to think of something for you...

okay that was VERY strange

But a nice strange? Lotor was not like you thought he would be.

Even when he finally did what he had to do with the Paladins and Princess Allura (love of a person), he still treated you with a respect you weren't used to.

you were mainly in charge of his agenda with the other Garla leaders and works like that, together with the Paladins and Princess Allura, etc. It wasn't a heavy job, but it required attention to detail and you definitely went out of your way to make it perfect.

And contrary to what you thought, you received some recognition from your, so to speak, Boss (because Lotor hated it when you called him "master" or "owner"), Lotor was grateful that you helped him and that you were so diligent, He let you know when he kept you up to date.

You could even have conversations with him! It wasn't something you had been prepared for in the least, but it was nice, Lotor was someone very intelligent and even had an interesting sarcastic sense of humor. You learned a lot by talking to him.

In turn, Lotor learned more about your species based on his experience with you, although at first it was difficult for him, because you insisted on keeping a certain distance, but he was able to make his way through your walls.

He found you quite pleasant and even charming! Lotor always tried to see other species with equal respect, and for you to see him from such a high place (without the need for violence, just doing his job) made him feel very good about himself.

And the feeling was mutual.

It made you feel calmer about all of this, that everything was going better than you thought. You had ended up with an owner--ahem, Boss- who was nicer than you expected and everything seemed fine--

But then you made a MISTAKE.

You were trying to get used to one of the controls on Lotor's main ship and out of nowhere the controls stopped working. They didn't respond, didn't work and seemed glitched.

You realized that you had pressed the wrong places (used to the mothership controls) and that you had "messed up" this one.

But all you could think about was the trouble you'd get into with Lotor.

Oh no oh no oh no What am I going to do? What are they're going to do to me? They're going to have to throw me away, right? How can I get through this? What if they kill me? What if--

You were so panicked that when Lotor arrives you don't notice.

And it only makes you even more afraid.

Lotor asks what happened, but he starts checking the console on his own and realizes what happened, he knows what you did--

And you can't stand the urge to cry anymore.

Lotor honestly freaks out, he thought you would have gotten hurt and that's why you were crying so much, but you were apologizing for breaking the console, and saying that you were fine with being replaced with someone more capable as long as please, please don't kill you...

Even if he didn't show it much on the outside (it's a habit up to this point he's sorry for it), it hurt Lotor to see you like this. And even more so for something so small. Is this why you thought he was going to replace you? Kill you?? Although he sees that it's mostly because you've been traumatized before, so he's not offended (at all).

Lotor tries to calm you down, explain to you that it's not a big deal. It's not broken! It just needs to restart! Please don't cry! He's not going to replace you! Much less touch a hair on your head! You are save with him...

He ends up fixing the console to prove his point and you calm down, something like that, both of your emotions are running high.

From there, you are a little more alert for your possible "mistakes" and honestly, Lotor misses how you were before this little incident, now it seems like you are walking on eggshells (Whatever that means? The blue Paladin said it ) when you are around him.

He discovers that he misses talking to you more than he thought, he is not someone who gets attached easily, but finally having someone who respected him as a person and not as Prince Garla and that you are now in this scared state hurts him.

So it does something... surprising.

He asks the Paladins and Allura for help.

Obviously some make fun of him a little ahem LANCE AND PIDGE ahem, but for the most part they try to give him good advice on how to approach the situation, although they all have a common idea.

TALK IT DIRECTLY or let you adjust naturally again (which seemed unlikely without the former).

So he did it, he call you to speak alone.

Sincerely? You almost died of fright. This on your planet was a VERY BAD omen, VERY BAD.

so imagine your surprise when Lotor was REALLY alone when you went to see him, but you still remained nervous, this man could destroy you with just one arm after all.

But Lotor...just talks.

And he gets straight to the point, he does NOT plan to replace you, he does NOT plan to hurt you, he does not want you to think that you are so expendable, especially when he has come to enjoy your company so much, you can rest assured, mistakes happen, we ALL make them, he prefers that you make them. a thousand mistakes to not having you at all.

Being honest? It was quite nice.

And you were able to be more...at peace with yourself after that. Be the sweet assistant again.

If we talk about advanced terms of a romantic relationship, IT'S PURE FLUFF.

Lotor has shown that he doesn't give a shit about race, so he has no problem relating to you even if you're not even half Garla. What if someone has a problem? They won't have it anymore :)

If your planet is still under the control of the Garla, it is most likely that Lotor has forced them to have laws and a more egalitarian legislature, your people have not lived so well in decapheobes! Of course, there are those who are still not used to it and others who are directly against it, but that always happens.

Lotor is patient when it comes to old wizard habits, chances are you'll still be that way! But more as a consort😅

Get ready, now that it is certain that he loves you and that you love him too, there is no escape from affection. Lotor is aware that he's touch-starved, but when you discover through this that YOU'RE touch-starved TOO, it's like, the perfect mix.

Lotor is the most openly affectionate, which helps you gain some courage to do the same, although of course, when it comes to making the other person nervous, you never win (although Lotor MELT inside seeing you try).

Lots of physical contact!! Especially at events with too many people and where you can easily feel overloaded, it's a quick way to calm yourself down and for Lotor to be happy and calm (literally, if they want to calm him down they have to bring you into the room and he's INSTANTLY in a good mood again).

You have a friendship with Allura! She jokingly says that you're too good for Lotor, but in a loving way.

The Paladins don't understand how Quiznak, someone as sweet as you ended up with Lotor. Did they threaten you? Blink twice if so--

Your nature is now a little more curious, you see everything with new eyes, it is something tender for Lotor, for him most of these things are everyday, but for you it is something new and even unique, it is nice.

He also now handles your crises better when PTSD strikes, takes you somewhere spacious, keeps some distance so you can breathe better, and when you recover he is on you for the rest of the day, quite worried.

In general, Lotor sees his partner with equal respect and love regardless of their race, social status or how they met, he loves you regardless of everything or how you perceive yourself. You are his equal, his partner, nothing changes that.

vld characters as aot characters

match up determinded by the following traits in the following order:

moral alignnment/personality character arc/plot line superficial traits (looks, weapons, powers, etc)

LANCE: JEAN

on the surface, both characters are cocky, funny, and a little girl crazy. however, they're both smarter than perceived and turn into strong leaders (lance as voltron's right hand man, Jean as a captain). they both have a incredible capability to identify right from wrong (lance was always weary of Lotor's plans the way jean was of Floch, also Jean was the FIRST scout to acknowledge Eren's evilness). They both have a vision of life with family outside/after the war and they both shoot guns :D

PIDGE: HANGE

both dedicate their life to science and technology and aspire to improve people's lives through it (pidge in general, but Hange made a lot of innovations in paradis after all the titans were killed between s3-4). Both are forced into roles of power they'd rather not be in but they later grow into it (Pidge originally didn't want to be a paladin, Hange had to be commander after Erwin's death).

HUNK: MARCO

Marco and Hunk are both kind, sympathetic, and able to encourage and support characters during high tension times. Their first instincts when faced with a problem is to try to understand and use reason. I don't have much to write as I believe Hunk's character was so poorly written that they might as well have given him Marco's fate.

KEITH: LEVI

Keith and Levi are both strong, independent, and always putting the lives of others before their own. I debated putting him as Mikasa or Annie but decided against it as they both have personal agendas for fighting that come before saving people, whereas Keith dedicates himself to saving the universe. They've both been through a lot, have an association with a clan/organization (Levi's interaction with Kenny counts as him finding out more ab himself like Keith does). Levi and Keith seem cold hearted but would do anything to protect their team.

SHIRO: REINER

I was THIS close to putting him as Erwin as they both are leaders and lose an arm. However, I believe Reiner is a better fit because of how he's affected by the war. They both left the world they knew with a directive. They were both largely changed by it and have had various paradigm shifts. They have both committed terrible actions, regardless of intention (Reiner actively crushed a society, Shiro through clone stuff), and they both rethink their morality and purpose because of it. They want to do what is good, but what is good gets confusing because of how muddled their mind gets. They both have suicidal ideation (Reiner explicitly and Shiro through envisioning a future where he's not around, telling Keith to take lead 'when he's gone', etc). Their first missions are also the pivotal starting points of both shows.

ALLURA: ERWIN

okay guys. HEAR. ME. OUT. Allura isn't very well explored imo but there are several things about her that I think are canon. Defeating Zarkon and the Galran Empire is a personal goal that goes hand in hand with saving the universe. Her desire to save the universe comes from more than just moral motivation- its also a part of her agenda as her population was wiped out. So when she tells the humans to become paladins of Voltron to fight a war she strives to win, I feel like its similar to how Erwin would rally up the scouts and say stuff like "we'll save humanity!" when that was only half of his goal (he always had a secondary agenda). Essentially, I believe the paladins (s1 at least) were a bit used by her. Both Allura and Erwin also have a passion for seeking answers and discovery, as Erwin wanted to see the basement and Allura wanted to go to Oriande.

Part one of my MHA VoltronLD thing uhhhh yeah.

Life Force: Allura is able to use the surrounding energy of life to heal, shield, and attack, usually in the form of a light-whip or spear (her bayard form and staff). The life energy can be hot if too concentrated, causing burns. Excessive usage causes regular quirk drawbacks like exhaustion and headaches.

Likes: Organization, Pink, and her uncle Coran

Dislikes: The current hero system, mutation quirks, and excessive flirting

Allura’s father, Alfor, used to be the HPSC President before Zarkon took over. Allura still got her position, but is suspicious of Zarkon’s plans for the HPSC. She is especially worried about Honerva’s “Young Heroes Program” and what that could be. Coran, bless his soul, has backed Allura for every decision, but things are getting tense. Allura fears her uncle could get fired if he continues to speak out in her name. That’s not even to mention the secretive work of Lotor…

The markings on her face, wrists, collar, and ankles are from her quirk. Her father had similar marks, but only on his face as he did not have nearly as powerful a quirk as her. Her ears are a small mutation from her mother’s side. Mutations are complicated to her, as she has a few herself, but her coworkers (Zarkon, Honerva, Lotor, etc.) are all rather… dismissive, snide, and rude with her, making it difficult to see that not all mutant quirked people are so short coming.

Hi again! Back with another screenshot redraw and another popular headcanon: Altean Lance! Lemme explain:

I feel like it would have added to Lance's character (and maybe his relationship to Allura) if he was revealed to be Altean of some kind. Imagine how sweet it would be for Coran and Allura to share with him! Wasted potential. Also also omg can y'all imagine Klance with them both being some alien? Like that's adorable they have something else to bond over 🥺💕 a big gripe of mine as a fellow mixed person is that the mixed alien characters never really got to bond about it beyond just being in Lotor's gang :')

Anyway, since we've seen that marks come in many colors, thought a dark pink would suit him. :)

Also. PALADIN ARMOR IS TOUGH but it's also soooo satisfying to get right omfg, is this how actual mecha artists feel???

Allura and Coran have no concept of gender, because they are Altean and Alteans are A CHAMELEON LIKE SPECIES WHICH THEY FUCKING ARENT DREAMKWORKS BECAUSE WHAT U FUCKING SHOWED US IN SEAOSN WHATEVER WAS SHAPESHIFTING-

Ahem, Alteans are born with the ability to do one of two things; Altean Alchemy or Shapeshifting, some are even born with the affinity for both but that’s rare and people born without a talent for either are also rare but most have a basic ability to do both.

Alteans are born with a simple understanding of “Oh, I’m going swiming? I should probably grow some gills so I don’t quiznaking drown.” So when Lance walks into the kitchen in the middle of the night to get some water he passes by the bridge only to pause as he sees a duo of three armed multi eyed monsters he rightfully screams.

Altean flight suits are built to change and shift with the user so most of the Altean clothing is too.

Both Coran and Allura had been under the impression that the Paladins didn’t trust them and so had chosen not to shift in front of them, when the Paladins find out they explain that humans can’t do that and Coran and Allura go.

“So you don’t hate us???”

And the Paladins go.

“Why would that mean we hate you???”

Alteans culture runs on a bases of masculinity and femininity instead of women or men, as they can shape shift they are quite literally above gender, wish that were me-

So, Allura and Coran saw Pidge admit they were actually a girl and in their brains it was, “Ah, so they change as well.”

When he’s working on the Castleship Coran tends to grow multiple arms as he can hold things up while he works, when reading through diplomatic treaty’s Allura will grow multiple hands and eyes as well.

I’m bringing Romelle and Altean!Lance into this too.

Romelle likes keeping an eye on things so she’ll occasionally grown an extra set of eyes to keep an eye on her brother while she’s doing something else, Lance will grow multiple eyes as well but he does it to help keep an eye on the battle field.

Alteans go through this thing called the change which is kinda like their version of puberty if it was a gender identity crisis and they turned into Eldridge horror abominations.

Lotor also went through this one, it’s why he looks more Galra than Altean and why Altean!Lance would look more human than Altean most of the time, it’s their default forms, what they’re most comfortable with.

When Alteans go through the change they aren’t the most in control of their shifts, and it winds up with a lot of them being an amalgamation of different races that they’ve thought were cool or even parts of people they admire, sometimes Alteans wind up looking completely different than what they originally looked like.

When threatened Alteans will SHAPE SHIFT to protect themselves or simply like we saw in the show they’ll shape shift to hide among the native people.

What I’m saying is please use the Alteans ability to shapeshifting more in fanfiction I’m dying theirs no good representation for my boy.

Lance: bisexual - trans man - he/him

Keith: gay - trans man - he/him

Pidge: aroace - non-binary or genderfluid I can't pick - any pronouns? Either that or mirror pronouns

Hunk: panromantic asexual - cis man - he/him

Shiro: gay (obviously) - cis man - he/they

I have many thoughts about sexuality/gender hcs for literally any aliens because of how labels transfer over etc etc also in my heart Altea didnt have the emphasis on labels and other junk like we do. So any queer hcs for aliens are just the closest to what I think theyd be, and if they're altean theyre unlabelled but I used what I'd choose if I had to assign labels based on what fits best

Allura - pansexual - demigirl - she/her

Coran - bisexual/pansexual - transmasc - he/him

Lotor <3: gay - transmasc/demiboy - he/they/it

I’ve seen a lot of, Keith being angry about the whole Voltron mission thing– and I agree!! That he’s angry about it.. but let me give you

Angry LANCE!! Lance who, didn’t want to be on the mission in the first place and was just going with the flow so he could get home to his FAMILY faster, Lance who didn’t think the mission would take as long as it has, Lance who burns in hatred for Voltron and Allura/Coran and the Lions because. Why? They keep prolonging the mission to save the universe by making STUPID decisions one after another after another, Lance, who seethes inwardly everytime Lotor or another Galra rescue mission comes up, because these STUPID aliens who don’t know their place and should sit down back at their weak little planet are keeping him from his family. Lance, who misses his family so much, who worries and misses them as much as they do him, Lance who’s heart squeezes with a sickness and guilt when he thinks about his family not knowing where he went. Lance who, undoubtedly has Undealt with violent thoughts, Lance who wants to ram his gun into Lotor’s face and pull the trigger at LEAST, 7 times, who wants to wrap his hands around Allura’s neck as he spits insult after insult. Lance who feels an unexplainable itching in his hands to pull on the controls inside Blue (or any Lion) until they snap and the wires are exposed, so he can pull and cut and yank them until she hopefully shuts down (no matter if he gets electrocuted in the process). And, I dunno about ya’ll but, I headcanon that the Voltron mission caused Lance to miss one of his nephew’s birthdays (which he has NEVER done, always being early because he loves his family So so sososoSoSO much that he can’t help but follow them everywhere they go so h can shield them from the world and shower them with his overwhelming love), and that, that SINGLE fact, IRRITATES him to his CORE, because– some stupid mission, caused by some no-good, weak alien princess and her dumb mechanical lions kidnapped him and decided he, a cadet who wanted to fly CARGO ships, was a perfect candidate to SAVE THE FUCKING UNIVERSE, to “save” and avenge the princesses kingdom, which was GONE, is GONE, and will FOREVER *be* GONE, because why? Her and her weakass kingdom could protect themselves from the way life worked? A prince who’s dad and mom don’t care about him and could care less if he lived or died (only really caring because he’s the only kid they have) and he let his issues get to his head and convince him that he needs to use violence to feel powerful.

in conclusion. I want batshit angry Lance, I want Lance to go feral inwardly until it becomes too much for him to keep bottled up and he goes apeshit Outwardly

“Father, what was mother like?” Itri asked, his eyes filled with curiosity and wonder. Lotor froze for a moment, as if reliving a moment he didn’t want to relive. Painful memories of a time long since passed still fresh in his mind.

“Father?” He said, waiting for a response. Lotor turned around looking down at his son. His eyes reminded him so much of her and his son too reminded him of her.

His son deserved to know about his mother. But he didn’t want to bring up painful memories he didn’t want to remember. But looking down at his son, seeing those eyes that brought him so much joy before the birth of their son. He sighed, walking towards the empty chair and sitting down.

His son followed and climbed onto his father lap. Lotor couldn’t help but chuckle. Holding his son on his lap, he started to reminisce about the past he spent with her.

“Your mother was, amazing, beautiful, compassionate, feisty, caring.” He said, smiling warmly thinking about her, and then looking down at his son.

“I fell in love with her the moment I saw her.” He said, and Itri looked up at his father and smiled hearing this.

“Yet, we were enemies, she worked with the paladins of voltron. she didn’t trust me.” he said, rolling her eyes and playfully looking down at his son.

“can you believe that she didn’t trust me?!” he jokingly said, causing his son to giggle. “yet, deep down she still cared for me despite being enemies. slowly I was able to both gain her trust and heart.” he said.

“which i regrettably broke when I turned on them while in the quintessence field.” he said, looking down remembering the look of heartbreak on her face seeing him betraying her and her teammates before her very eyes. how she had tears rolling down her cheeks being forced to fight the very person she’d fallen for that she’d opened up too.

he could’ve sworn he saw a single tear roll down her cheeks. “Yet, she did something unexpected.” He said, and his son looked up at him in wonder.

“We give Lotor all the power he wants.” Allura said, looking at him and [Y/n]’s eyes widened, her heart was pounding against her chest.

She didn’t want to kill him, despite all that he was doing now. She still loved him she couldn’t do it. She wouldn’t do it. She looked towards Lotor, it all happened so fast too fast no one had time to react before it was too late.

“She’d put herself in front of me taking in the pure quintessence, sacrificing her life just to save me.” He said, looking down and his son looked up at his father.

“Everyone, was in absolute shock after everything id done up to this moment. She till found it in her heart to sacrifice her life for me in that very moment.” He said, Itri leaned his head into his father’s chest who smiled softly.

“It was in that moment I’d realized my mistake and quickly acted.” He said.

Her entire ship was destroyed her unconscious almost lifeless body floating. Debris floated around her, Lotor took action and immediately, put on his helmet and got out of his ship to retrieve her.

“Y/n!” the paladins shouted, watching as Lotor brought her back to his ship. and left the quintessence field. they couldn’t fly after them so the paladins left the field.

“I’d never been more scared in my entire life.” He said, shuddering slightly as the memory played once again in his mind.

Itri gripped onto his father, “I thought that I was going to lose her, all because of my selfish actions.” He said, looking down.

“But, fate had other plans.” He said, remembering.

[Y/n] groggily, opened her eyes and took in her surroundings. She was no longer in her ship but somewhere else. Galran technology surrounded her and she felt someone holding her hand.

“L-Lotor.” She mumbled, causing him to look up and smile, “Thank the stars, your okay.” He said, gently squeezing her hand and she smiled. “I thought I’d lost you.” He said, and she smiled looking at him.

“That moment, I realized something.” He said, and Itri looked up at him curiously. “What’s that?” Itri asked, and his father smiled, “How much I loved your mother.” Lotor said, Itri giggled.

“What happened after that?” Itri asked, and Lotor’s face went red and coughed slightly. Remembering the not child friendly events the happened after that moment.

“I made her my empress.” He said, and Itri smiled leaning against his fathers arm. All that happened after that seemed to happen so quickly, whatever his mother was planning was big.

“She eventually reunited with her friends, also revealing something else.” He said.

“Y/n!” Everyone shouted, running towards after having not seen her in so long.

“Hi,” she said nervously. Their eyes widened noticing her stomach had grown and the wedding band around her ring finger. She chuckled nervously, looking at her friends faces scratching her chin with her index finger.

“Yep, Lotor and I got married and are expecting.” She said, and she looked at them nervously all of them still in shock she bit her lower lip. Lance walked towards her and placed his Ah f on her shoulder, “It’s nice seeing you again,” she smiled, wrapping her arms around him hugging him.

Allura looked at her worriedly, thinking that maybe Lotor was manipulating her. [Y/n] turned towards Allura and smiled warmly before turning to look towards the others.

“Congratulations,” Lance said, and she giggled placing her hand on her growing stomach.

“You know who was in her belly?” He asked, and Itri shook his head, “You my little star.” He said, and Itri grinned happily.

“She loved you more than anything, and was so excited to finally hold you.” He said, and then he looked down. Almost not wanting to continue on with the story.

“But, fate had other plans.” He said shakily, it had only been a couple of months after the fact she’d seen her friends again. Something happened, that day while she visiting something he’d never forget.

“What happened?” Itri asked, and Lotor sniffles tears rolling down his cheek. It was too much he couldn’t tell his son. He was too young to know.

“She sacrificed her life just so you might be here today.” He said, and Itri had tears welling up in his eyes and sniffled. Lotor held his son close but he couldn’t help but smile tearfully. Feeling a familiar warmth wrap around him, he could hear the faint whispers of a familiar voice.

~ Throk scoffs again when you challenge him to see if he can stand feeling how much pain you go through, luckily he's always up for a challenge

~ Before you two start you try it on yourself to see what setting is closest to what you experience every month

~ Then it's Throk's turn to put the little patches on his lower abdomen

~ He really does think that the pain won't be all that bad, galra are capable of withstanding all kinds of pain

~ Like, imagine Ranveig curled up while failing to work through the simulated version of the worst period cramps in the entire universe

~ In the end Branko learns his lesson and thinks that all human women are tough in order to be able to deal with their periods every month

~ After the whole ordeal he needs a few minutes to recover; in the future he makes sure to take care of you better when your period comes, it's the least he can do as your boyfriend/husband

~ Lotor decides to use the period cramps simulator as an interrogation tool in case he ever needs it, that way he doesn't have to result to violence to get the answers he needs if the situation ever presents itself

Something silly about Howard is that almost everytime science gets brought up in a conversation he’s having with someone(usually Renee) he will bring up aliens(at least he has the option to since you can choose your dialogue but i always make him bring up aliens) so i headcanon that when he was a kid he was REALLY into space related stuff and in adulthood some of that stuck with him

I replayed the prologue of the game earlier today and tried to pay better attention to the way other characters describe him(Howard) so that’s why he looks a bit chubbier and also a bit more cat-like?(one character calls him “lumpy” which means stocky or chubby which i can believe since hes a raccoon and Larry tells him he could pass as being a weird cat)

• Lotor always had a complicated relationship with love (unintentional pun), having Zarkon of all beings for a father and a mother presumably dead his entire life, he never really had the opportunity to witness a truly functional relationship.

• Obviously as he grew and matured he realized certain things about couples, including how his father referred to his late mother. The relationships were complex, some were for benefit, others simply for desire, and others... simply for affection.

• And they were the ones that confused Lotor the most, even his own father seemed to have fallen for this feeling, describing his relationship with Honerva as his only weakness.

• Having grown up where he grew up, Lotor was not going to allow “weaknesses”, not after all the bad things that happened to him every time he allowed himself to be vulnerable, every time he allowed himself to be weak, this was the best, for everyone.

• However, things change. Especially when Voltron appeared on the map.

• Overall, this caused Lotor to have to rethink many of his values and morals, he believed that he had improved and become a better person.

• With the help of Princess Allura, Lotor was able to create a better system for the Galra, even generating diplomatic ties with other civilizations. Among them, the earth.

• That's where everything went down. It was there where he met her.

• reader was a somewhat veteran engineer from Harrison, she had studied in the same year as Shiro and Adam. While they were more focused on being pilots, Reader had her heart set on the mechanics and engineering behind the ships.

• Thanks to this, Reader had quickly become a technological prodigy and a highly sought-after student in the barracks, whether to make improvements to the ships, fix problems with the consoles, or even make personalized gadgets at an acceptable price.

• And now, as an adult, she was the head of Harrison's engineering department, trying to help cultivate bright young minds.

• Lotor (and Allura) ended up turning to her precisely because they were researching Honerva's notes, so knowing that the reader was good at that type of science, they thought she could be of help.

• To be honest, if they told the reader in advance she probably forgot and was working on something when they arrived, with their first impression of her being that of a reader with a greased face and probably something exploding.

• Yeah, at first Lotor wasn't so sure about her help until Allura convinced him with a lot of effort. And yet at first the interactions were awkward as Lotor did not believe that this disorganized and forgetful person could be one of the smartest people around.

• However, the surprising thing was that the reader remained her normal cheerful self, seemed not to be affected in the least by the sarcastic remarks or harsh criticism, she simply improved for the next time and came, in fact, much better than before and with more strength.

• Thanks to this, Lotor began to view her with a little more respect, being more willing to listen to her and generally being more open.

• The more involved they were in researching the notes, the more the reader's intellect shone, whether doing the calculations, diagrams and values of the readings that the research showed, which caused the feeling of respect to increase.

• It is very likely that both reader and Lotor have Made a All-nighter and have not gone to sleep until Allura forced them to go to bed (with red eyes and messy hair).

• Eventually, when they began to assemble prototypes for the ship that would take Lotor and Allura to the Quintescence field, the conversations stopped being so professional and took a more personal turn.

• The reader probably does not fully know the context in which Lotor lived, perhaps it was mentioned a couple of times while they were working about having a bad childhood, but nothing more.

• However, reader shows sympathy and tries to liven up the situation, (especially if she has a good relationship with her family), after all, family is what makes you happy, not who raised you! you can always be better!

• It is probably in those moments, in a moment of pure innocence, that Lotor realizes that something is starting to go… wrong.

• Lotor knew that he not only appreciated the reader, he admired her, he loved her, but it was not the type of love that others considered normative, or healthy in general.

• Indeed, reader felt like a kind of pleasant weakness, a safe place, but at the same time something delicate and fragile.

• It didn't help the girl's human nature, or that she had a job as dangerous as fixing the ships even though she knew the risks, even with all the warnings he gave her to be more careful, she got hurt often. She was so stubborn...

• There was also her overly trusting attitude towards others, he had seen it (even if the reader didn't realize it), how she was too friendly for his liking with other people, especially the former black paladin, the level of closeness they had made Lotor want to tear off his skin...

• Obviously Lotor kept this as secret as possible from the reader, he knew that these feelings could be seen as out of place and he didn't want to scare her, however, he had to make sure he kept her close without exposing himself.

• This is how a new phase in their relationship began.

• Lotor is someone who is charismatic and, above all, someone who is tactical and intelligent, so it is easy for him to find some questionable aspect of the people close to the reader so that she stops trusting them.

• In this way, Lotor isolated Reader little by little without her realizing it, before knowing it, the only people Reader interacted with were Pidge, Hunk and Allura.

• At the same time, Lotor would begin to be more affective, more attentive in other ways (whether to satisfy his own addiction to the company of the reader or so that she would not realize how alone she was), at first glance it was something overwhelming, but now that I really didn't have much else to do, reader was starting to fall for it...

Jealousy and possessiveness are triggered by A THOUSEND TIMES and now Lotor has a VERY “valid” reason for wanting to isolate the reader even more (the racism of the Garla towards other species) with the context that it is for her “safety.”

• If the reader realizes that she made a mistake it would have been too late, she is already very far from the earth, they do not give her access to the ships and even if she had access, she does not even know where to go.

• Aside from that, Lotor may or may not mention that staying with him is both in the best interest of the reader and her family. He won't say direct threats, but you can see that he is talking about something bad.

• So either the reader puts up with everything or faces the consequences with her family and friends :)

• Honestly, it's very likely that the reader will develop Stockholm syndrome, if she didn't already have it from all the time Lotor was messing with her head, so it's best not to resist.

• In a voluntary route, Lotor can tone down his tendencies a bit, even being a very good husband, trying to ensure that the reader continues to have his projects to distract her, letting her be friends with his generals, etc.

• Of course, it would never be completely safe for those around you, if someone gets too affectionate for your liking, hands off.

• But at least he has the decency to not do that kind of thing in front of the reader.

• If you are a genuine volunteer, Lotor may even let you have video calls with your family! It's not much, but it's the most a reader can have with such an overprotective Yandere.

• In general, Lotor does not understand relationships, which leads him to have an unhealthy relationship, have an unhealthy mindset, and while he treats his partner like a deity, he also isolates them and drags them into the same decadent pit as him. .

• I guess the good thing is that she loves him. Or she loved him. Either one is enough for him.

The fact that they were like "Lotor has been researching this place for thousands of years, and we're totally gonna let him be one of the chosen few to be able to even GET to Oriande, but SURPRISE, he doesn't actually get to learn any of its secrets because he's half-Galra and therefore responds in a way that means he isn't worthy because of thousands of years of having to protect himself" PISSES ME OFF

I need to write up A Whole Thing about Oriande, honestly. Because like….., can you even IMAGINE? You're born into a people that values violence and conquest, but you put more stock in your mother's lineage because they valued research and learning and peace (I'm GROSSLY generalizing here, because there is more nuance to both the Galra AND the Alteans than that, but ANYWAY), and you FINALLY get to go to this incredible site, a place that was seen as only folklore, but that you proved to exist, and it's special to one of your peoples……..to be told you've been CHOSEN to be allowed IN, to learn more about this part of your lineage that you so value…….only to then be told it's because of the other part of your lineage that you're not actually worthy????

Lotor has been alive for 10,000+ years, and despite that fact, despite the fact that he was pretty much abandoned by BOTH of his parents, raised in a system that values war and violence and conquest, he's been trying and doing what he can within that system, to make things NOT as terrible. But there's only so much he can do on his own, especially when he's been punished for being openly lenient or trying for more peaceful means. It's only after those 10,000+ years that a viable rebellion popped up, one he could finally support, that finally had the hope of taking out his father.

(ALSO, all of the new paladins being human or at least human-passing feels kinda weird, too, when you stop and think about it. The original paladins were from all sorts of different planets, they were all different, to show that hey, even though you come from different backgrounds and might have historical reasons to be fighting, you can CHOOSE your own path, can choose to work with others towards peace. ANOTHER reason Lotor should have been the new black paladin when they changed things all up, with Lance piloting Red and Allura Blue.)
