Some weapons I wish had been submitted to the Fictional Weapon War:

Lostvayne (Seven Deadly Sins): Chastiefol was one of the few I decided to put in myself for the preliminaries but I thought it’d be cool to see any of the Sacred Treasures from this show honestly. Chastiefol is cool for its multiple forms. Lostvayne is cool for its cloning power. My top two from Seven Deadly Sins.

Nichirin Swords (Demon Slayer): Another show that I would have been happy to receive any weapons from. The basic ones have subtle differences that are unique to their wielders like the color and sword guard. The Hashira who have different kinds of swords are cool too. Mitsuri with her whip sword, Shinobu has a rapier-like sword, Gyomei with a flail, Obanai with a flamberge.

Demon Blade Benizakura (Fairy Tail): I think the most notable of Erza’s swords since when she uses it, she’s putting all her magic into the sword and none into her armor.

Kunikida’s wire gun (Bungou Stray Dogs): One I considered submitting myself. He doesn’t use it too much though.

Magic Pens (Twisted Wonderland): The magestones in the pens act like an arcane focus to keep blot from accumulating in the students. Everyone has these magic pens that look very basic but the house wardens are shown with these kind of staffs that have their magestones. Malleus’ is my favorite. I love the spinning wheel on the end. Leona is a close second.

Feitan’s umbrella sword (Hunter X Hunter): I think umbrella swords are cool as hell. They have the same appeal as cane sword where you think it’s a normal item and then BAM it gets cooler because you just pulled a sword out of it.

The Soul Slugger Doom Bat of Maximum Destruction (Epithet Erased): It’s a bat with a knife taped to it.

Season 1, episodes 1-6

I forgot how good the writing and animation are in the first season, like they truly thrived under aniplex😔 the brief white blood period in I think season 3 shows us just how good we had it

I love seeing Hawk and Meliodas's relationship, and his star Boar earring😭 plus having the Boar hat as the main location is just so comforting !!

Also I JUST realized his name is hawk because of a ham hok😭😭 this is like when I realized toe mater's name was tomato at the ripe age of 18

I miss the holy knights being powerful. Like I get that the Sins are always more powerful than them, had a long way to go in terms of power ups, and meliodas straight up had most of his power sealed but like DAMN. They were so cool in season 1 !! Gil was such a badass😭 I guess I just wish that the holy knights powered up along with the Sins

Seeing the very first episode got me thinking about the original pilot Manga (chapter 0) and how cool it might have been !! Like I love the story we got, but I do think those versions of Mel and Elizabeth maybe would have been better than the ones we got😳 like I just really like Meli's original design, I feel like he looks a bit older, and chapter 0 Elizabeth is simply superior ngl. She's funny, brave, and assertive - a lot more like Liz and goddess Elizabeth, except funnier

The first half of season 1 has one of my fave intro and outros like damn I forgot how fucking cool they were. Some of my fave songs to !! (my all time fave is def howling from season 3 part 2 (i think lol) tho)

Everytime the fiddle (?) Music plays I get SO FUCKING HYPED BRO like damn Ik it's through all the seasonal and I'm so glad it is because it's rlly the perfect hype song - here it is on Spotify

Also Gil is such a badass in early episodes, I love his strength !! This moment is the fucking coolest and you can't convince me otherwise

Overall, I think the attention to detail is just better, the sounds the armor makes, the animation and drawings (esp background characters), Meliodas just sounds a bit older too (and I have theories on his voice here if u want them 👀)

The whole perv thing is really exhausting really quickly. Almost surprised 14 year old me made it through this as the 2nd anime I ever watched and the 1st I watched alone

I feel like Diane got shorter through the seasons. Like she doesn't compare to Hawk Mama like she did in season 1, and I think that's a damn shame. Let my giant girl be giant !!

She's also a decent bit more violent and I enjoy that thoroughly. She's just a silly goofy kween😌

Also her original costume is superior, her boots are just👌

Just realized that Meliodas was like an older brother/mentor to Gil and now they're brothers in law 😭😭

Also young Elizabeth and Gil are so cute😭 I always forget that they grew up together too

I love Hawk, but I feel like kicking him would just be so satisfying 😔

Okay SO in episode 5, when Ban is about to get his scar from the dragon handle sword, he tells Meliodas "you and me have been hanging together for a lot of years now." This scene takes place 12 years before present (bp). Does this mean Ban and Meliodas were friends before the formation of the Sins? Or was Ban the first after him and Merlin? Ban has been immortal 20 years BP, leaving 8 years in between present and the flashback. 8 years before this scene, Meliodas was still in Danafal/Danfor and would be for another 4 years. What does any of this mean? Idk, just thot it was intriguing lol.

Also how did I not notice this is the first time we see demon!Meliodas !! Baby's first sighting as an unnatural creature with otherworldly rage🥰🥰

Also the fact we never see the scar Gil gave him again lol. Plus him presumably needing to do demon mode so hellfire can heal him is actually rlly cool

Just thought about how Elizabeth laying her hand on his chest to check the scar was the first time in years his love touches him with gentleness or concern🥲🥲

The fact that it took me 6 years to realize that when Meliodas says he'll keep the promise he made to Elizabeth, even if she should die is referencing the promise he made to her originally to break their curses🥲😬😤😭😭😭😭

6'11 Ban thinking that he even had a chance in fitting in Jericho's armor is just so... him

Diane calling Elizabeth kiddo is so fucking cute🥺

Also they definitely get away with a lot more innuendos and swears. The words badass and foreplay in the same episode? Impressive

This would have been so fucking awesome to see Meliodas continuously wielding a broadsword like he did when he was the leader of the Ten Commandments. Instead of constantly changing weapons (like Liz's sword, Lostvayne, etc), he uses one that he's comfortable with.

It would definitely give the enemies a run for their money if they saw Meliodas keeping up this badass behavior. Like damn, I love this badass version of him.

Light's Bane

In the past, due to his preference for heavy weapons, Meliodas wielded a massive broadsword more than twice his size. It was said to be a wicked blade that fed off of slaughter and bloodshed. There's some truth to that as it used to be an ordinary sword, but the demon-steel ( specially gathered metal that will not melt under the heat of purgatory fire ) it was crafted from has been tempered over time by the darkness of it's wielder and the blood, malice, and anguish of its victims after Meliodas' liberal use of it to kill countless people from the other clans. As a result, it was twisted and warped into a unique weapon. The sword turned into a specialized conduit for Meliodas' abilities, and became capable of unprecedented cutting power, even being able to shear through magic. It was later reforged into Lostvayne.

A favourite trick of his was to imbue it with corrosive hellblaze in away that allowed the sword to ignite with every attack he performed. The injuries from his blade aren't meant to ever heal, difficult even to remove by the goddesses' standards. When he fails to outright kill something, this ensures the flames fester and spread internally, dissolving anything that can heal or close. It essentially infects the target’s body and never lets the wounds recover as long as they remained. To let the injury heal, one would have to tear into the target’s body and remove the flames by hand, a dangerous and painful process that had the added risk of the fire latching on and continuing to burn. 

Lostvayne

A Sacred Treasure, also known as the mythical "demon-splitting sword", crafted by the legendary weaponsmith Dubs. A curved shortsword said to cut through anything in the hands of the right wielder.

It allows Meliodas to make physical clones of himself. The power of each of clone is determined by the number of them, evenly divided by one half with each subsequent clone. Meliodas' own strength not weakened at all by making clones. The sword works by splitting a part of his soul and creating a stable construct around it with magic, granting a physical form. Theoretically, Meliodas can make however many clones he wants as long as his soul can handle it. However, ripping apart one's soul into so many pieces at the same time is generally inadvisable. It puts a heavy strain on him spiritually, so he typically makes about four to five clones and no more than seven or eight at once.

A clone retains all the memories and skills of Meliodas through the soul splinter, allowing it to be semi autonomous. It can make decisions on its own, fight on his behalf or serve as a distraction, and use Full Counter. They can't read Meliodas' mind and understand beat for beat exactly what he's thinking but they can sense impressions of what he wants through their shared soul. Unless dismissed by Meliodas or dispersed under enough damage, a clone lasts indefinitely. They can also choose to seamlessly merge back into Meliodas' form, even in the middle of an encounter. Once that soul splinter reconnects with his own, he gains it's experience since in a roundabout way he did everything it did. Under normal circumstances the clones cannot be made to turn on him.

I’ve been thinking on this for a while, but does anyone else ever think about how Lostvaynes cloning power could potentially be insanely overpowered?

I mean sure, four clones each with 1/8th of the wielders power doesn’t seem that much at first but like...

What’s the limit on clone creation?

Like yeah, four clones is the maximum but I mean like when four clones are created, one is poofed leaving three active clones, can the wielder then create another clone to get back to four clones?

Is there backlash when a clone is poofed? Are the clones linked like a hive mind? Or is each clone linked to the original with no link to other clones?

Because imagine like Meliodas in battle, going way high into the sky to have a birds eye view on the whole battle, and then just creating clones to fight where needed, creating another when one is poofed. Like an infinite supply of clones.

And specifically with Meliodas being the wielder, even just 1/8th of his power is probably a shit ton.

The sword from The Seven Deadly Sins anime. That's Meliodas's sword. I could be wrong but It looks relatively similar. I literally was watching a funny video ont he recent episode and I just now looks at the sword as was like, "OMG THATS LOSTVAYNE."

But I also wanna point out the Luz said to Camila that she had the spoilers for Monster slayer Academia. Which is demon slayer and MHA clashed together.

This is why I love Luz, she watches the same anime I do, yeah I'ma big anime lover. But I just wanted to point that out. Also Vee carried a red bat, so that got me think about Beta Luz, and she grabbed a white and purple striped shirt, which reminded me of Pilot Luz. But yeah I just noticed the sword. That's it there's nothing else.
