𝔐𝔲𝔰𝔥𝔶 𝔐𝔞𝔶 𝔇𝔞𝔶 24: “𝔞𝔠𝔱𝔰 𝔬𝔣 𝔣𝔯𝔦𝔢𝔫𝔡𝔰𝔥𝔦𝔭”
Pairing: Aether/mountain
Sum: earth ghouls are very emotional after being summoned
MUSHY MAY BY @forlorn-crows !!!
Tumblr media
“He’s crying again,” ifrit says
“Yeah,” Aether sighs as he moves the curtain out of his view of the window again, “He wont come inside either, even when it’s raining.”
“Well, he must come in at some point to eat, just have to wait him out.” Dewdrop says as he also looks out the window.
The newly summoned earth ghoul had been crying under the weeping willow tree for more than two days now. Earth ghouls were known to be extremely personal and protective over friends and family. Just like quintessence ghouls, they held deep bonds with things they loved. So it was a point to time they called “the weeping willow phase” of when the earth ghoul mourned the loss of both their habitat and their people.
It could be hard for them to find a new beloved, so this period would last until they bonded with their new pack mates.
“He doesn’t have to eat, remember?” Ifrit nods as he unfolds his arms, “Earth ghouls are so stubborn, they always find a way to outgrow their issues but still get so emotional.” He says as he puts a hand on aethers back, motioning that he was leaving.
After Ifrit left, Dewdrop looked up to Aether, “What are we going to do? It was easy to bond with Ivy because he didn’t like all of the ants getting on him so he stayed inside. But I’m afraid our new friend will run off.”
“I know…” Aether sighed again as his vision relaxed into the golden red sky that caressed the ministry as the sun started to fall into the mountains.
“I’m not the best at….talking….but you-“ Dewdrop thought, “I mean you were kind of made for talking to others.” The water ghoul smiled awkwardly, they weren’t the best at talking one on one as most of them were either shy or anxious if not both.
“I’ll talk to him, just tell Papa that we’re still trying before he gives up on us.” Aether chuckled at the end, he rubbed the base of his horn in frustration on the situation.
Terzo was a great leader, but he was known to grow impatient rather quickly.
“It’s getting a little chilly out here, why don’t you come inside?” Aether said softly as he walked up to the earth ghoul.
With a flinch, the whimpering ghoul peaked a teary eye out of his tucked arms from his knees. He looked at aether, not with fear, with sadness as another cry strung out of his sore throat.
A gently breeze hushed the sounds of the ministry as the long strand of vine and leaf from the willow tree blew like hair in the gentle summer breeze, Aether kneeled down beside him.
“I know it’s difficult, but you must continue.” Aether said with a frown as he placed a hand on the ghouls shoulder.
The earth ghoul was large, tall as a matter of fact and long eyelashes that collected his tears of his puffy eyes. The ghouls hair was dark, a sort of brown that shifted green highlight in the flittering light of the setting sun. Skin, a neutral green with darker pigmented spots as his veins showed through his pale skin like small vines that blended in with the moss that spread across his finger tips and around his joints. His ears pointed, many chips and cuts that covered him like a story book. His eyes were a piercingly soft purple like a cluster of amethyst. The earth ghoul curled up into a ball more as he rubbed his nose, a tear falling down the apple of his cheek.
Aether sat beside him against the hunk of the tree, “if you come inside, I will get you better clothes and you wont have to get all wet from the rain like you did last night.”
The ghoul couldn’t deny that sounded wonderful, but he couldn’t get the images of his life in the pit out of his memory. But something urged him to let a hand slowly fall from his own embrace and trail down into the dirt to pick one of the flower bulbs. He held it in his hand gently, brining it up beside Aethers face as it suddenly bloomed a white blossom that swirled with life as it paralleled the quintessential ghouls white iris.
Aether was amazed a little, his heart fluttered and ached for the sadness dripping from the ghouls aura, soiling the soil and atmosphere.
“It’s beautiful, we have plenty of plants in the greenhouse.” Aether strikes a conversation, “But tell me, why must you stay attached to this fair tree?”
He lays the flower back on the ground, the bloom quickly fading as his touch leaves the plant.
“Salix Babylonica,” the ghoul finally speaks a soft but deep whisper as he rubs a tear from his porcelain face, “Mountain is covered with them this time of year.”
“Your right, they are,” Aether smiles as he looks up the tree and it’s branches draped with green, “Mountains, like you, are very strong and steady.”
The earth ghoul shakes his head, “I was I was like a mountain, sturdy and responsibility, beautiful and peaceful.” He traces a root in the ground with his finger, “But im not, im emotional and unwise.”
“I simply doubt that, if anything i think you are more a mountain than any other earth ghoul I’ve met.” Aether says, placing his hand on the ghouls
Earth looks up at Aether, “I’m not sad to loose my life in the pit, I never knew anyone there who was nice.” He admits solemnly.
The quintessence ghoul looks at him with pity, he knew the pit was rough even fore ghouls, “Then why must you weep?”
“I’m sad because I don’t have anything to loose, and now I must live in a world where there is more life to remind me of how lonely and out of place I am.” He says, letting down his guard now that aether was that close to him.
Earth ghouls were usually very short and small, smaller than water ghouls. He was abandoned from his pack due to them thinking he was a water ghoul for his height and quick growing hair.
“That doesn’t matter now, if I had room to say amongst all of the people here than id say you fit perfectly among these misfits we call ourselves.” Aether laughed softly as he stood up, “Come, I think you would enjoy some fresher clothes.”
Earth stood up with a soft smile, “If you say so, but…I don’t even have a name..how will i belong?”
“I think I found one,” Aether says as he takes his hand and walks with him on the brick path to the ghoul quarters.
“I think Mountain is a great name,”

We return to my series where I discuss the origins of all non-fish aquatic Pokémon. This time we’re going over gen II, which has a lot fewer Pokémon to go over than gen I. You can see the gen I entries here and here. To see my previous series where I covered all fish Pokémon, see here. To see the Gen II fish see here. As with before, I will be covering starters and legendaries/mythicals on their own, so no Totodile line or Suicune this time.
The Azurill line are based on mice and water rats. Water rat is the common name for a number of loosely-related rodents that spend enough time in the water that they are considered semiaquatic mammals.
Tumblr media
(Image: a water rat going for a swim)
The line’s ball-shaped tails that can be used for flotation is likely a reference to beach balls and personal flotation devices like life jackets. The beach ball connection is furthered with how round the whole line is. The round and positively buoyant tails could also be a reference to bladder kelp, which has round bladders filled with air that keeps the seaweed standing up. Marill and, to a lesser extent, Azurill’s silhouettes resemble a water molecule, with the round ears looking like the hydrogen atoms attached to the larger ball that is the larger oxygen atom. Azumarill adds rabbit characteristics and may specifically reference the North American swamp rabbit, which lives in wetlands and is a good swimmer.
Tumblr media
(Image: a swamp rabbit going for a swim)
Marill and Azumarill having white spots on their bellies/undersides may be an example of countershading. This is when an aquatic animal is white below and dark above. This allows the animal to be camouflaged both from above (where its dark side looks like deep water or the substrate) and below (where its white underbelly looks like the surface of the water. The reason why Azurill is normal-type instead of water-type likely ties in with it being underdeveloped compared to the other two stages. It is likely a juvenile that is too young to swim and relies on its parents to bring it food while it hides in a nest. This is backed up in Scarlet and Violet, where Azurill is only found by the water’s edge while the other two can be found swimming.
Wooper and its evolutions are based on salamanders. Both variants of Wooper are based on larval salamanders only partway through their metamorphosis. Like frogs, Salamanders start out as tadpoles with external gills and as they age, will grow legs and lose the gills. Wooper still has not grown its arms and retains its gills.
Tumblr media
(Image: an eastern tiger salamander at two different stages of metamorphosis)
Wooper is specifically based on the axolotl, a species of Mexican salamanders known for retaining juvenile traits into adulthood, most notably its fully aquatic lifestyle and external gills. Its shiny color furthers that connection as pet axolotls are often bred for albinism or other forms of pigment loss. Their natural coloration is dark brown like the Paldean variant. Both the Japanese and English names for Wooper come from “ūpārūpā” (“wooper looper” in English), a name for axolotls created as a marketing term to encourage people to buy them as pets. Paldean Wooper losing its habitat and being forced into muddy areas could reference how wild axolotls are critically engendered due to habitat loss.
Tumblr media
(Image: an axolotl)
Once Wooper evolves, it becomes an adult salamander, specifically a cryptobranchid. These are huge aquatic salamanders that also inspired the Slowpoke line. They are extremely slow and typically move only in response to danger, to get food, or to mate. Quagsire reflects this with it being very slow, easy-going, and dumb. Cryptobranchids lack gills as adults, but are still fully aquatic. They breathe by absorbing oxygen through their wrinkly skin, which could be the inspiration for the frill going down Quagsire’s back.
Tumblr media
(Image: a Japanese giant salamander)
Clodsire keeps the cryptobranchid inspiration (and is a more accurate representation due to being a quadruped and brown) but also takes inspiration from the Iberian ribbed newt. This species has a defense mechanism where it can force its sharp ribs out of its skin. At the same time, it secrets poison onto the ribs. If anything tries to eat the newt, it can instead get a mouthful of toxic spikes. Clodsire’s poison-typing and the spikes the come out of the spots on its back are references to this.
Tumblr media

Corsola is a Pokémon I wish was better, because a coral Pokémon is a really fun idea. Coral is a relative of jellyfish and anemones that consists of tiny polyps working together in a colony. Hard coral, which is the type Corsola is based off of, form a limestone skeleton which gradually grows over the course of sometimes centuries. This is why Corsola is part rock-type. If a piece of the coral skeleton breaks off, it can regenerate, though Corsola doing so in a single night is a considerable exaggeration. Like the most famous corals, Corsola lives in shallow tropical seas and needs clean water. Most well-known species of coral have a symbiotic relationship with algae that lives inside the polyps. The algae provides an extra source of food via photosynthesis. This seems to be the case for Corsola too, as it can often be seen basking in the sun. The large colonies that Corsola form are analogous to coral reefs. Various Pokedex entries say that people can build houses on top of the colonies. This is likely a reference to how coral reefs can eventually form small islands. Corsola is likely based on the staghorn coral, with grows large branching structures like Corsola.
Tumblr media
(image: staghorn coral)
Multiple Pokedex entries say that Corsola can’t live in polluted water. When it does what you get is Galarian Corsola and its evolution, Cursola. This population of Corsola was wiped out by sudden climate change and returned as ghosts. They are based on the phenomenon of coral bleaching. When the water gets too warm, coral polyps will expel the symbiotic algae and turn white. Bleached coral can still survive, but is at much higher risk of death. A dead coral colony leaves behind a white limestone skeleton. Coral bleaching is occurring worldwide as a result of climate change. There is also a reference to ocean acidification. As the ocean becomes more acidic, the calcium carbonate that many animals, some corals included, use to make their shells is becoming more rare. This results is animals having weaker shells. Similarly, Johtonian Corsola’s branches are solid and sturdy while the Galarian line’s are wispy and insubstantial.
Tumblr media
(image: bleached coral)
I discussed Remoraid in my fish post and now I get to talk about its evolution: Octillery. To answer the common question, a fish evolves into an octopus because they’re both based on firearms, animals that have suckers, and animals that use jets of water. Octillery is based on an artillery cannon, with its mouth (based on the siphon of a real octopus) being the cannon and its two front tentacles being the legs or wheels of the cannon.
Tumblr media
(image: an artillery cannon)
Its Japanese name is Okutank and its beta design definitely had some major tank influences.
Tumblr media
(image: the beta design for Octillery)
Octillery learns a lot of shooting or beam moves and real octopi are also good at shooting. They take in water and shoot it out the siphon to move and disturb sediment, and can release a cloud of ink as a defense. One trait Octillery does not share with octopi is its rock-hard head. Real octopi are soft-bodied animals whose only hard body part is their beak. Its hard head is based on a soldier’s helmet (more apparent in its beta art), but also may be based on the internal shells that some other species of cephalopod (most notable the cuttlefish) have and that octopus ancestors used to have.
That finishes up Johto. Next time I’ll move on to generation III. I may end up splitting Hoenn into two posts like I did with Kanto as there are a lot of aquatic animals there as well.

Hey, I can't seem to find much info about physical aspects of aging in species other than humans. For animals I always get changing physical aspects due to sexual maturity, not old age. In fact what spurred this on is I saw a picture of a 22 year old cat and had utterly no clue how insanely old he was other than 'adult'. [Of course, I'm not a vet/zoologist. Maybe it's in fact obvious to them. But that isn't who my audience is.] Interesting, that even other primates don't show signs of aging as humans do? Since I'm writing a whole lot of aliens - both humanoids and not humanoid, as well as alien animals so this got me thinking I should understand aging stuff better since I kinda basically gave them human aging characteristics and maybe I shouldn't overuse it. Did prehistoric humans (or earlier) age like we do? I mean I've seen art of old neanderthals that age like humans, but art would color dinosaurs so... maybe by that time they were definitely far removed from other primates to have human aging characteristics anyway and I can't seem to find anything earlier.
Wootzel: Many characteristics of old humans do apply to other animals, but you may have to step back and think about why those characteristics happen in order to avoid making it seem like you’re just copy/pasting human characteristics onto your aliens.
The vast majority of old-age characteristics happen because the body’s processes for rebuilding itself slow down or stop. Parts of the body that see a lot of use begin to accumulate wear and tear. Skin no longer replaces itself as quickly, so damage from the sun and other environmental factors starts to accumulate, so this gives you wrinkly, thinner skin and things like sun spots on elderly humans. Tissues that give skin and organs their structure and elasticity don’t get replenished as much, so gravity’s pull makes skin droop. Cartilage in joints gets worn and broken down all our lives, but eventually it starts degrading much faster than the slowed rate of repair. Human hearts kinda just stop making new cells very early in our lives, so what you have is what you get! When heart cells take damage from traumatic events or from use, they can’t be replaced. This is true of a lot of mammals, but not all life on Earth.
All of this is to say that you can think back about the causes and then extrapolate a lot of similar aging effects to other species, based on how their bodies work, and end up with different results.
Some Earth species, notably lots of fish and reptiles, never entirely stop getting bigger, so size could be an indicator of age. Most species with fur see similar effects to human skin degradation, in which the fur stops growing as quickly and vigorously. This fur might be thinner or coarser (used here to mean not as soft) because it’s not being replaced as quickly. Feathers, fur, and hair can all become more brittle and likely to take damage during normal activity. This can give a lot of older animals a more ragged appearance.
Many animals with fur groom themselves less as they grow old and feel less vigorous. Old cats tend to have a clumpy look to their fur, which is mostly from a reduction in grooming.
Muscle tone tends to go with age as well, again, due to a reduction in the body rebuilding them. Exceptional loss of muscle or fat is usually caused by some health condition that’s much more severe than just old age, but elderly humans and many animals will look a little thinner than their younger counterparts.
Pigment production is another thing that could be applied across many species. Pigments are often part of the structure of their respective body parts (white feathers are often weaker than black or brown ones, for example), or they serve a purpose in finding/impressing a mate, or they might be camouflage… etc. The body might put less effort into pigments with age because some of these purposes are just less needed. Humans get gray hair, dogs get gray muzzles, and your aliens might lose their bright blue forehead spots.
Hormonal changes could be a factor. Humans, especially those with uteri, experience a reduction and a cessation of fertility significantly before the end of their lives, because those body systems take a lot of energy to maintain, and it could be used to help existing offspring survive instead of making more. Lots of birds go through “henopause” and experience a similar end of fertility--and these hens often take on much more masculine plumage and behavior! Not all species experience an end of fertility before death, but it’s likely to evolve in most or all sapient species because ceasing to reproduce in old age makes the society as a whole more efficient.
A couple of factors that are likely to apply to most life (unless there’s an evolutionary reason against these!) are that old beings will have lower movement abilities, more aches and pains, and will generally have slower metabolisms than younger ones.
DNA is very fragile, and gets damaged by all kinds of normal environmental stressors. Minor bits of damage and/or errors build up over the lifetime of an organism, and this is why cancers are much more common in old age. If your aliens use something similar to DNA to pass traits down, they’ll likely have this phenomenon as well.
If there are any hard structures on your aliens that will not regrow, such as horns or teeth, you might be able to show age with these. Horns that continue to grow but do not replace their tips might take on a worn or blunted appearance. Teeth tend to wear down somewhat and either become flatter (if they were already flattish, such as with human and dog front teeth) or sharp teeth might become more rounded. You might find it interesting to read up on how an experienced person can guess a horse’s age with pretty high accuracy just by examining its teeth.
People familiar with a species can often tell when they’re looking at a very old animal, but as you mentioned, not everybody knows what to look for! Some of your aliens might not age in ways that are very obvious to a human audience, but maybe a human familiar with the species would be able to tell at a glance. You could certainly play with this as a plot device or even just some social worldbuilding.
Some specific examples:
Iguanas tend to lose vibrancy in their coloration as they age. Some parts of the body might look more “silver” and some may darken with age. They can develop saggy or wrinkled skin, as well (thanks to Feral for this example)
Cats tend to get a clumpy look to their fur as they age. This is a combination of less time spent grooming (thus, more oil and dirt hanging around) and increased roughness since the fur sheds and replaces itself less. Tomcats get thicker skin on their faces, arms, and shoulders, and their faces develop fat pads to protect them from fighting damage. Neutered males and females tend to get at least a little rounder in the jowls, but eventually thinner around the cheekbones and muzzle. Cats can go a little grey, though it’s often not as dramatic as with humans and dogs. Cat eyes can also show signs of age, since the iris often degrades with old age, which can result in color spots appearing later in life, or just a rougher, more textured appearance to the eye.

Headcanons. Albinism & eyesight.
Tumblr media
Satoru suffers from albinism, a rare genetic disorder where people is not born with the normal amount of melanin pigment. This causes them to have very pale skin and white hair, and be extremely prone to sunburn and eyesight diseases.
As a consequence of this, around their middle teens. Satoru developed Retinitis Pigmentosa, a eye disease which makes cells in the retina break down slowly over time, causing vision loss. Initially, it causes loss of peripheral vision, but over time, the field of vision narrows until the person only has some minimal central vision, also called tunnel vision.
Satoru's vision would keep slowly deteriorating with the pass of time. Initially, they struggled some with small fonts and far away things, but that worsened to the point where currently as an adult they have only between 10% and 5% of their eyesight left, and struggle with every day tasks such as applying their make up, getting dressed, finding things, reading, writing, and even distinguishing shapes. Normally, they will find many excuses to never have to read something in front of other people, saying they're lazy and will read it later or having someone else read outloud for them. That together with the six eyes allowing them to see cursed energy despite of eyesight, and Infinity stopping them from openly bumping into things, have helped them quite effectively to hide their condition from anyone who's not particularly close to them.
They mostly depend on TTS and STT to text and work, as well of accessibility options such as bigger fonts and light modes for apps. Their house, thanks to the kids aids, is also adapted for them to navigate easily. Important things like doors, furniture, and drawers have their corners or borders wrapped in neon scotch tape so that they can find them easily, and every object and thing has a determinate spot to be put in and never moved from in order to not confuse them. All the rooms also have two light bulbs, one normal for the kids and one extremely bright so that Satoru can see some.
Satoru is not open about their condition, and the only people that should know about it are Shoko, as she monitors them, and Megumi and Tsumiki, as they live with them and see their daily struggles.

Light-Coloured Skin Patches? Learn About Vitiligo Symptoms and Solutions
Are you noticing areas of light-coloured patches on the skin's surface? These could be symptoms of vitiligo, a skin disease that can be identified by the appearance of light or white patches on the skin's surface. Vitiligo can be seen all over the body, including vitiligo on the lips, elbows, knees, and even on the face.
Tumblr media
While problems with skin pigmentation can characterise vitiligo, the cause is a dysfunctional immune system. It is not a risk of negative impact on overall health. However, patients could face issues with their hearing or eyes. Additionally, the disorder can have a profound effect on the emotional well-being and self-image of patients.
A timely diagnosis can allow patients to get control of their condition promptly and minimise the appearance of more white patches. In reality, effective vitiligo disease treatment could also help reverse existing patches. This article outlines the first signs and symptoms that could indicate the presence of vitiligo. We will also talk about those who are more likely to suffer from this condition. We will also discuss the most efficacious treatments available for the condition known as vitiligo.
Early symptoms and signs of Vitiligo
The condition may cause the following symptoms in its initial phases:
It is a sudden appearance of lighter skin patches
The formation of white spots and patches
Spots of lightening inside the mouth and nose, around the mouth along the lip
Hair colour changes (greying or the whitening of hairs)
Eyebrows with grey or white hair and eyelashes
Patients may experience hearing impairments.
Eye colour changes
Early Signs and Symptoms of Vitiligo in Babies:
Babies can suffer from vitiligo, which causes skin colour changes in various areas of the body. This could include the feet, face, arms, hands, the mouth, the genital area hair, and mouth. Vitiligo can cause ears to become inflamed, which can lead to hearing loss since the cells of the ear also contain melanocytes. Babies may also experience changes in the colour of their eyes (retina). Parents should choose vitiligo treatment naturally for their babies. If not, the synthetic drugs could trigger adverse reactions to their well-being.
Vitiligo Types
There are five kinds of Vitiligo:
1. Generalized: Discolored patches on the entire body are the most prevalent kind.
2. Segmental: With this form the vitiligo only affects only one portion on the body (e.g. the hands or face).
3. Focal: This is when the discolouration is only concentrated in one area and doesn't spread. Patients must consult a homeopathic dermatologist specialist for advice on vitiligo medication.
4. Trichrome: This kind of skin has an area of intense discolouration as well as lighter discolouration.
5. Universal: It is a very rare form of vitiligo that has more than 80 per cent of the skin's pigmentation is discoloured.
When you determine the nature of vitiligo spots It is important to not delay your treatment for white spot on skin.
Are you more likely to be affected?
The condition is usually seen at reaching the age of twenty for people. Women are thought to be more prone to the condition than males. Although any person can get the condition, however, certain people are more likely to develop this condition than the rest of us. This includes people with;
A genetic background that is associated with the disease
Hyperthyroidism (an overactive thyroid gland)
Rheumatoid arthritis
Type 1 diabetes
Psoriasis
Pernicious anemia
Addison's disease
Systemic Lupus Erythematosus
Crohn's disease
Ulcerative colitis
If you suffer from any of the health issues mentioned above, you could be at risk of developing Vitiligo. You can consult your physician for more information about this. If you've started suffering from the symptoms and are trying to find a method to vitiligo treatment naturally, Contact our dermatologist at Bharat Homeopathy. They can provide you with the best treatment options to stop the development of the disorder.
Alternative treatments for Vitiligo
Vitiligo diagnosis may be very difficult for sufferers. The condition can severely impact their daily lives and may result in psychological problems. As the condition deteriorates, patients may seek help and advice from qualified health professionals. Of all the options to treatment for white spot on skin, Homeopathy is the best option.
Homeopathy is a medical system well-known for its risk-free and safe strategies. It employs homeopathic remedies based on natural substances that provide an effective and non-injury cure for Vitiligo. Although it was first developed in Germany and the United States, homeopathic treatments are used throughout the globe to treat various dermatological problems. However, it is crucial to seek out a licensed homeopathic physician to get the best treatment for vitiligo.
Self-care tips
There are some habits that can be implemented to decrease your chance of getting Vitiligo. A few of these strategies are:
Utilising a natural-based sunblock regularly and, particularly prior to going to the beach
This involves wearing protective clothing, which includes long sleeves.
There is no need to use sunlamps or tanning beds
Being unable to move around during the day, particularly during the most bright times of the day.
A regular usage of umbrellas or umbrellas whenever you are in the sun

Self-Care Tips for Vitiligo: Medication  and Treatment for White Spots on Skin
Vitiligo, a skin disease that affects approximately 1 to 3 percent of the world population, is identified by the formation of white patches on various areas of the body, such as vitiligo on lips, arms, face, elbow, etc. Managing vitiligo can have significant challenges. Patients affected with this condition often experience feelings of embarrassment, sadness, shame, or distress due to the alterations in their physical appearance. Such emotional responses may result in low self-esteem and depression. Counselling from a mental health professional is advisable because it facilitates coping mechanisms and manages mental health issues associated with the condition.
Self-care tips for vitiligo patients
Ways to stop and fix vitiligo aim to control the disease, slow it down, and deal with how it changes how your skin looks. Here are some important points:
Tumblr media
Sun Protection and Vitiligo:
The skin patches affected by vitiligo lack the natural defence mechanisms provided by melanin, the skin pigment, which is present in normal skin and offers protection against the sun's rays.
Unprotected vitiligo skin is at a significantly increased risk of burning rapidly. Sunburn not only causes discomfort but may also trigger the expansion of vitiligo in some individuals. Furthermore, it elevates the risk of developing skin cancer. It must also be recognised that sunlight is essential in keeping one healthy as it is a source of Vitamin D. Still, it has to be considered that the skin should be covered entirely from the damaging and harmful rays of the sun. This will also benefit in increasing the efficacy of your treatment for white spot on skin.
Prioritising Hydration:
With vitiligo, it becomes absolutely essential to keep the skin at its optimal levels of hydration during the colder months. The cold, dry air increases moisture loss from the surface of the skin, exacerbating dryness and sometimes the manifestation of vitiligo symptoms.
Applying a natural moisturiser immediately after bath time while the skin is still slightly damp leads to proven results. The main advantage of sealing in moisture is to keep the skin soft and hydrated. Of course, hydration should always come first for people with vitiligo to keep their skin healthy in winter conditions.
Practising Stress Management:
Participating in some activities that promote stress relief, such as yoga or breathing exercises, can be an important aspect of managing stress and overall well-being, which could positively impact vitiligo.
Be Consistent and Patient:
Consistency is the key to the successful vitiligo treatment naturally, as it calls for a skincare routine, implementation of prescribed therapies and trust in the process. Inevitably, it is important to understand that the results will take time; hence, patience is required.
Dietary tips for Vitiligo
1. Eat foods high in antioxidants like fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds to help manage vitiligo symptoms. Stress can reduce melanin production, leading to skin depigmentation. Antioxidants help combat this by promoting melanin production. Research on mice with vitiligo showed significant improvements after consuming antioxidant-rich foods. Aim for a colourful diet to ensure you're getting a variety of antioxidants.
2. Consider a gluten-free diet. One study found that a gluten-free diet led to noticeable skin repigmentation in a vitiligo patient after nine months. Although this study was on one person, reducing gluten intake might be worth trying. Gluten is thought to cause inflammation, which could worsen your treatment for white spot on skin.
3. Avoid foods that cause inflammation, such as processed meats, sugary drinks, trans fats, white bread, pasta, gluten, soybean oil, vegetable oil, processed snacks, desserts, and alcohol. These foods can worsen vitiligo symptoms by increasing inflammation. A healthy diet rich in nutrients, fibre, and probiotics can help improve health and reduce low-grade inflammation. They can reduce the efficiency of your vitiligo disease treatment.
4. Consider taking vitiligo medication to support vitiligo management. While it's best to get nutrients from whole foods, some studies suggest supplements like ginkgo biloba, vitamin C, vitamin E, polyunsaturated fatty acids (omega-3), and vitamin D may help with skin repigmentation in vitiligo patients.

Is Vitiligo Curable at the Early Stage?
Vitiligo, a condition characterized by the loss of skin pigmentation, has long puzzled both medical professionals and patients alike. While it is widely known that vitiligo is a chronic condition, many wonder if it can be treated more effectively or even cured when detected early. Let's explore this question and how Kayakalp Global approaches vitiligo treatment.
Understanding Vitiligo
Vitiligo occurs when melanocytes, the cells responsible for producing skin pigment, stop functioning or die. This leads to the development of white patches on various parts of the body. The condition can be localized or spread across larger areas.
Early-stage vitiligo refers to the initial appearance of small, depigmented spots. This is often the stage when patients first notice the symptoms and seek medical advice.
Tumblr media
Why Early Detection Matters
The progression of vitiligo can vary significantly from person to person. In some cases, the condition remains stable for years, while in others, it spreads rapidly. Detecting vitiligo curable at the early stage can have several advantages:
Targeted Treatment: Early intervention allows specialists to focus on stabilizing the affected areas and preventing further spread.
Higher Response Rates: The skin's ability to repigment may be stronger during the initial stages of vitiligo.
Psychological Benefits: Addressing the condition early can help reduce the emotional stress associated with visible changes in appearance.
Can Vitiligo Be Cured?
While modern medicine does not yet offer a definitive cure for vitiligo curable at the early stage treatment can yield significant results. At Kayakalp Global, we focus on holistic and integrative approaches to manage the condition effectively.

Tips on self-care for vitiligo patients
Strategies to prevent and treat Vitiligo are designed to manage the condition, slow its progression, and address the way it affects how your skin appears. Here are some essential aspects:
Sun Protection and Vitiligo:
The skin patches that are affected by vitiligo are deficient in the natural defence mechanisms offered by melanin, the natural skin pigment that is found in normal skin and provides protection from the sun's radiation.
Skin with vitiligo that is not protected is at a higher chance of rapidly burning. The discomfort caused by sunburn is not just a matter of comfort but also can trigger the growth of vitiligo in certain people. Additionally, it increases the chance of developing skin cancer. It is important to recognise that sunlight is vital to keeping you healthy since it's a great source of Vitamin D. However, it is important to take into consideration that your skin needs to be protected by the harmful and damaging sunlight's harmful rays. It will also aid in improving the usefulness of treatment for white spot on skin..
Prioritising Hydration:
In the case of vitiligo, it is vital to ensure that the skin is at its best levels of moisture during the winter months. The dry, cold air causes a loss of moisture to the skin's surface, which can cause dryness and even the appearance of vitiligo-related symptoms.
Applying a natural moisturiser right after bathing, even though the skin is slightly damp, can lead to positive results. The major benefit of sealing the moisture into your skin is keeping your skin silky and moisturised. But, of course, water intake must be the primary concern for people who suffer from vitiligo to maintain their skin's health in cold winter weather.
Practising Stress Management:
Engaging in certain activities that help relieve stress, such as breathing exercises or yoga, could be a crucial element in managing stress and overall health that can positively impact the condition of vitiligo.
Be Consistent and Patient:
Consistency is essential to a successful vitiligo treatment naturally since it requires a skincare routine, the use of prescribed treatments, and faith in the procedure. Naturally, it is crucial to recognise that the outcomes will take time; hence, patience is needed.
Tips for a healthy diet Vitiligo
1. Consume foods rich in antioxidants, such as fruits or vegetables, nuts and seeds to manage the symptoms of vitiligo. Stress can affect melanin production, which can lead to the skin becoming less pigmented. Antioxidants can help fight this by encouraging melanin production. Studies on mice suffering from the condition showed remarkable improvement when they ate antioxidant-rich food. Try to eat a mixed diet to ensure that you're receiving a range of antioxidants.
2. Consider a gluten-free diet. One study revealed that a gluten-free diet contributed to visible skin repigmentation for a patient suffering from vitiligo after nine months. While this study focused on one patient cutting down on gluten consumption, it could be something worth considering. Gluten is believed to trigger inflammation, which can make it more difficult to treatment for white spot on skin..
3. Avoid foods that can cause inflammation, like processed meats, drinks that are sugary trans fats, white bread, gluten, pasta, vegetable oil, soybean oil, processed snacks, desserts and alcohol. These food items can exacerbate the symptoms of vitiligo through a rise in inflammation. A proportional diet that is rich in fibre, nutrients, and probiotics can improve health and lessen the effects of the severity of inflammation. They can decrease the efficacy of your vitiligo disease treatment.

How White Edible Bird Nests Benefit Your Skin
Tumblr media
When it comes to skincare, the nutrients found in white bird nests offer three key benefits:
Moisturization
Hydration is the foundation of healthy skin, and the glycoproteins present in white edible bird nests help to lock in moisture. These proteins create a barrier on the skin that prevents water loss, keeping your skin soft, supple, and well-hydrated throughout the day. Consuming white edible bird nest regularly can give your skin a naturally moisturized and plump appearance.
Whitening and Brightening
One of the most sought-after benefits of white bird nests is their ability to brighten and whiten the skin. Rich in sialic acid and amino acids, white bird nests promote skin regeneration, reducing pigmentation and dark spots. This results in a more even and radiant complexion. For those seeking a brighter skin tone without harsh chemicals, white bird nests offer a safe and natural alternative.
Protection from Oxidation
Free radicals, pollution, and sun exposure can cause oxidative damage, leading to premature aging, wrinkles, and dull skin. White edible bird nests are packed with antioxidants that neutralize these harmful free radicals, helping to protect your skin from environmental damage. Regular consumption of these nests can reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and other signs of aging, keeping your skin youthful and protected.

Effective Vitiligo Disease Treatment: Restoring Skin Health and Confidence

Understanding Vitiligo and Treatment Options for Children
Vitiligo is a long-term autoimmune skin condition that causes a loss of pigment, causing white patches to appear on the skin. The condition occurs when melanocytes, the cells responsible for skin pigment, stop functioning. Vitiligo can affect any part of the body, including the lips, face, and hands, and is most often seen in children. Parents first notice vitiligo on lips or other exposed areas, leaving them worried about how to manage the condition and help their child. Although many vitiligo treatments are available worldwide, you need to adopt a treatment that eradicates the disorder from the root, not interrupting it, to get rid of your child's white patches.
Vitiligo in Children
It is a condition that can occur in both adults and children. However, children suffering from vitiligo often face unique challenges, both physically and emotionally. The onset of vitiligo in children usually begins before the age of 10, with the most noticeable signs appearing, including white patches on the skin. For parents, it becomes imperative to identify the treatment for white spot on skin.
Children with vitiligo may experience social difficulties, particularly at school. They may be subjected to teasing or bullying, and some children may feel isolated or self-conscious about their appearance. The presence of white spots on the skin, particularly on the face and lips, can make vitiligo highly visible and emotionally distressing for young children.
Understanding and providing emotional support is crucial for children with vitiligo. They often struggle to fit in, and their unique appearance can lead to questions from peers. For children, this can create feelings of embarrassment or frustration. Addressing the emotional and social aspects of vitiligo is just as important as vitiligo disease treatment and the physical signs & symptoms of the illness.
Types of Problems Faced by Children with Vitiligo
The most common problems they face are:
Social Stigma: Vitiligo often carries a social stigma, particularly when white spots appear on visible areas of the body, such as the face or hands. Children may be teased or bullied at school, leading to emotional distress and low self-esteem. If the best treatment for vitiligo is not taken, then the white spots on the body of the child will continue to increase, which will cause the affected children to face both physical and emotional challenges.
Isolation: Due to their appearance, some children with vitiligo may feel different from their peers, leading to a sense of isolation. They may avoid social interactions or school activities due to fear of being judged or ridiculed.
Emotional Stress: Vitiligo can cause significant emotional stress in children. The unpredictable nature of the condition, where white spots may appear in new places over time, can lead to anxiety. Many children with vitiligo may also feel frustrated that they cannot control their condition. However, vitiligo treatment naturally with homeopathy can help you get out of this condition.
Low Self-Esteem: The visible nature of vitiligo can negatively impact a child's self-confidence. In a world where appearance often plays a substantial role in social acceptance, children with vitiligo may struggle with self-image issues. Helping children develop positive self-esteem is vital for their mental and emotional well-being.
Difficulty in School: Unfortunately, children with white patches can face problems in school, particularly when it comes to interacting with their peers. Teachers and school staff need to be conscious of the situation and take steps to prevent bullying. Educating classmates about vitiligo can foster an inclusive environment and reduce instances of teasing or isolation. Treatment for white spot on skin could prevent children from facing these difficulties.
Vitiligo Medication and Treatment Options
There are many treatments for vitiligo, but various treatment options can help to manage the condition and reduce the appearance of white spots. Different approaches may be recommended when it comes to vitiligo medication, depending on the severity and location of the vitiligo patches. For children, treatment decisions should always consider the least invasive options, as their skin may be more sensitive.
Depigmentation
Depigmentation therapy is usually reserved for adults with widespread vitiligo. In this treatment, the remaining pigmented areas of the skin are lightened to match the white spots, giving the skin a more uniform appearance. This option is generally not recommended for children.
Natural Treatment for Vitiligo
Many parents seek vitiligo disease treatment in their children, hoping to avoid the potential side effects of medications. While no natural treatment can cure vitiligo, some remedies may help manage the condition and promote healthy skin.
1. Dietary Changes
A diet rich in antioxidants & vitamins, particularly vitamin D, can support overall skin health. Foods like leafy greens, fruits, and fish may be beneficial. Although diet (food) alone cannot treat vitiligo, it may help improve the body’s immune response and overall well-being.
2. Natural Remedies
Specific herbs are believed to have properties that support skin pigmentation and immune health. Turmeric and babchi seeds are examples of natural treatments for vitiligo that some people use in conjunction with medical treatments for vitiligo. It’s important to consult a healthcare professional before trying natural supplements, especially for children.
3. Stress Management
Stress is known to exacerbate autoimmune conditions, including vitiligo. Helping children with vitiligo manage stress through mindfulness, relaxation techniques, and physical activity may support their emotional health and potentially slow the progression of the disease.
Conclusion
Vitiligo is a challenging condition for children and their families. The visibility of white spots on the skin, particularly on areas like the lips and face, can lead to emotional difficulties, social stigma, and low self-esteem. However, the best treatment for vitiligo can help manage the condition with natural remedies. Parents of children with vitiligo should focus not only on treating the physical symptoms of the disease but also on providing emotional support to help their children cope with the challenges they may face in school and social situations.

leucoderma treatment in ayurveda
Tumblr media
Leucoderma, commonly known as vitiligo, is a condition characterized by loss of skin pigmentation. Ayurveda, the ancient Indian system of medicine, offers holistic approaches to manage leucoderma by addressing underlying imbalances in the body. Here are some common Ayurvedic treatments and practices for leucoderma:
1. Herbal Remedies
Bakuchi (Psoralea corylifolia): Often used in both topical and oral forms. It is believed to promote pigmentation. Caution is advised as it can increase sensitivity to sunlight.
Gurmar (Gymnema sylvestre): Known for its potential to stimulate melanin production.
Neem (Azadirachta indica): Has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties, beneficial for overall skin health.
Turmeric (Curcuma longa): Contains curcumin, which has anti-inflammatory properties that may aid skin conditions.
2. Panchakarma Treatments
Panchakarma is a detoxification process aimed at cleansing the body:
Virechana (Purgation): A detoxifying treatment that helps eliminate toxins.
Basti (Enema): Therapeutic enemas can help balance doshas and improve overall health.
Raktamokshana (Bloodletting): Sometimes recommended to improve blood circulation and skin health.
3. Dietary Recommendations
Balanced Diet: Focus on foods rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals, such as green leafy vegetables, fruits, nuts, and whole grains.
Avoid Certain Foods: Limit intake of spicy, sour, and processed foods, which may aggravate the condition.
4. Lifestyle Modifications
Stress Management: Techniques such as yoga and meditation can help reduce stress, which is believed to impact skin health.
Regular Exercise: Physical activity promotes overall well-being and can support skin health.
5. Topical Treatments
Herbal Oils: Oils infused with herbs like sesame or coconut can be applied to the skin to promote healing.
Pastes of Herbal Powders: Pastes made from herbs like bakuchi and turmeric can be applied to affected areas, but sun exposure should be minimized after application.
6. Consultation with an Ayurvedic Practitioner
It’s crucial to consult a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner for a personalized treatment plan tailored to your constitution (Prakriti) and the severity of the condition. They can guide you on dosages, potential side effects, and the most suitable therapies.
(Skin Disease White Spots- Leucoderma Treatment in Ayurveda)
Conclusion
While Ayurveda offers various treatments for leucoderma, results can vary, and a holistic approach combining Ayurvedic practices with conventional advice may lead to better management of the condition. Always seek guidance from healthcare professionals before starting any new treatment regimen.
