Welcome back, Beauties!! Now that the weather where I live is finally starting to turn, I’m loving all things Spring, including some of the projected makeup trends. If you’d like to see what Spring 2018 makeup trends I’m digging, just keep on reading.
Spring and Summer are definitely my favorite times of the year. Things are blooming and the temperatures don’t require heavy coats and layered clothing. With the new season comes new makeup and fashion trends that will carry us until the next changing of the guard, so to speak. Today, I’m going to share with you some of my favorite makeup trends for Spring 2018 and a few products that will help achieve the looks.
Glowy Skin is the first trend that I’m totally here for this season. Goodbye matte skin and hello dew! I mean, look how gorgeous that is! A recently released products that I’m hearing good things about that you could definitely use to get this bronzy glow is the Fenty Beauty Body Lava Body Luminizer, $59. This product is being marketed for the body, but I’m not reading anywhere that it isn’t safe to use on the face. However, if you’re not about that full body glow life, a great way to bring that glow to your face is with liquid illuminators and glowy primers. I’ve left a few that I’ve used below for you.

Becca Backlight Priming Filter and L’Oreal True Match Lumi Glotion are all glowy primers/liquid illuminators that I’ve used and enjoy. When I wear a medium coverage liquid or a powder foundation especially, the glow these provide to my skin is pretty gorgeous.
Another Spring 2018 trend that I’m loving is the appearance of all the gold highlighters. You guys know that I pretty much always wear some kind of gold highlight, so this trend is right up my alley. Whether you love a yellow, white or rose gold, there’s one out there for you. Here are some gold highlighters that I personally love and recommend:
Maybelline Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter, $9.99. Shade shown: Molten Gold
The Milani Strobelight Instant Glow Powder in Glowing and the Maybelline Master Chrome Highlighter in Molten Gold are definitely my two most reached for golden highlighters right now. You can make them subtle or really build them up to blind the aliens in space.
Now, we all know that I’m the biggest colorful eyeshadow wearer out there. However, I do love the look of color on other people. The Spring 2018 trend of doing soft looks with a pop of color intrigues me, and I definitely plan to do more of these looks this year. I prefer to use a colored liner pencil like the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils if I’m going to put the pop of color on my lower lash line, like in the image above, and use eyeshadow on my lid. I typically won’t do the pop of color on the top and lower portions of my eye, simply because that’s not really my jam.
Eyeshadow palettes like the Urban Decay x Kristen Leanne Kaleidoscope or even the Too Faced Chocolate Gold Bar are great for those pops of color you’re looking for on the lid or under the eye, and are both palettes I enjoy using.
Lastly, my top favorite trend of Spring 2018 is glossy lips. You guys already know that I am a huge fan of a glossy lip, so I’m super excited that more brands are coming out with glossy lipsticks and ranges of lip gloss. The Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer, shown above, is a great option, but you definitely don’t have to spend loads of money to get a lip gloss that performs well without being gloopy or heavy on the lips. Some other great lip glosses are the NYX Butter Glosses. They come in tons of shades from nudes to reds and everything in between and are literally $5. You can’t beat that price.

Another great brand of lip glosses are the Colourpop Ultra Glossy Lips (shown in the shade Netta above). They are comfortable on the lips and don’t dry out your lips as they fade, and at $6 each, they’re worth giving a try. Now, if you like the look of glossy lips but want something that’s more pigmented and will wear like a lipstick, I definitely recommend the Milani Amore Shine Liquid Lipcolor. I’ve raved about these for months now, so I’m sure you’re sick of hearing about them. I can’t help it, y’all. They’re really THAT good, and they’re affordable. If you have a little bit more money to spend, you could pick up the Buxom Va-Va-Plump Shiny Liquid Lipsticks, because they’re literally dupes for each other in my opinion. The Buxom and Milani shiny liquid lipsticks are both pigmented and last for a good amount of time on the lips without getting and feeling weird, so if you can get the same quality for an affordable price, why not?!
Those are the Spring 2018 makeup trends that I’m loving. Let me know in the comments below what Spring makeup trends you’re into right now.
Until next time, Beauties!! xoxo
