They finally bring back the lotr musical and I can't even see it. It's reinterpreted in exactly the way I would have hoped and there's like a fandom for it now but no bootleg? no fucking bootleg??? I spent years harboring forbidden knowledge of that show and it's finally back only to be dangled just outside my grasp. and apparently it's got really good sound design too. Just to rub salt in the wound ig. Yes I know this is like the fourth post I've made about this in the last few months but you must understand. I want to see hobbit show

As a holiday gift, I commissioned Aoife O'Dea to sing Luthien's Lullaby from the Lay of Leithian musical.

There couldn't be a more perfect fit- Aoife, who played Arwen in Watermill Theatre's Lord of the Rings musical last year, and Luthien, Arwen's elven ancestor, using the magic of song to send us off to sleep.

IT IS FINISHED! I've been working on this painting since January, and it has been a certified struggle, but also SUCH a fun time! I haven't painted anything with acrylics in years and years, and nothing this ambitious in even longer. I'm unbelievably proud of how well this came out and I really hope y'all like it too! 🙏

Anyway, in this household we love and adore Georgia Louise and her portrayal of Galadriel in The Lord of the Rings: A Musical Tale. I was so unbelievably lucky to see her perform this role live, and it was a performance I'll never forget 💖 A genuine elven queen! I really hope we get to see her in the role again someday! 🤞

Happy 1 year anniversary to the Lord of the Rings: A Musical Tale at the Watermill Theatre :)

We've laughed, we've cried, we've laughed so hard we've cried, all as recently as this Monday, about a show that technically ended in October. The Watermill Theatre changed all of our lives, and next time we all go there, we can sit in a seat that bears a memorial of our love and our insanity.

Thank you @the-daughter-of-a-wolf @cicelythereaper @winterwyrd @nowandforalways @lotrmusical @officialjamesflint @tuuliii for helping make this possible, all whilst supporting a regional theatre that's doing amazing things. Mrs Bracegirdle will be remembered on J6 in the balcony for the next five years!

on 25 july, it'll be one whole year since the watermill theatre's production of the lord of the rings: a musical tale opened! if watermill lotr dealt you psychic damage, come take part in a creative event to celebrate the anniversary.

Happy anniversary to the Watermill Theatre production of The Lord of the Rings: A Musical Tale! Here’s my submission for the Watermill Anniversary Creative Celebration hosted by @lotrmusical

For the celebration, folks submitted their favourite moments and elements of the Watermill production, which were then made into a wheel picker. I landed on the submission – which was not submitted by me but might as well have been – “Charlotte as Rosie – so joyful and sweet and strong and A++++ fiddling”. I heartily concur! Charlotte’s Rosie was one of the highest of highlights in a production full of wonderful actors and portrayals. She very much embodied both the sweetness and fierceness of Rosie, and her musical skills were naturally also off the charts. Every time she was on stage, I found myself seeking her out. Whenever I think of Rosie Cotton, I will now and for always be picturing Ms Grayson in my mind. 💖
