Sorry OP but I genuinely don’t think you understand Gina as a character (or EJ really but I have a whole separate post for that because no one in this fandom seems to understand what EJ’s actual arc is and how it was season 2 that actually ruined his character but again I’ll save that for later)

You think Gina was out of character for getting mad at EJ for lying to her? Gina Porter? The girl who threw punch on the guys head back in s1 because he kept asking too many questions and wasn’t trusting her? The girl who blew up and Ricky and refused to speak to home for half a season which was months canon wise (rightfully so!!) because he asked for advice about Nini one too many times? You think it was uncharacteristic for HER to be upset that her boyfriend straight up avoided telling her crucial information that would heavily impact their relationship going forward? And continued to break promises to her despite her forgiving him and trying to make amends and adjustments to her own plans multiple times??

The Gina Porter, who’s mother upends her life and moves her around the country on a routine basis which has left her struggling to make friends and connections to the point where she’s not only had never been to camp before but never had a boyfriend or even been invited to a sleepover until her 10th grade year of high school??

Yeah. No. Gina was completely in character and in her right to be mad.

the rushed Cash subplot is due to (once again) season two — since they didn’t give that subplot a proper ending there (thanks portwell! It literally your fault!!) they had to force it in here

EJ was a senior in seasons 1-2. Why would be at ehs during s4?! He graduated!! Him not being there during s4 for the majority of the season wasn’t them sidelining him, he just wouldn’t be there because he’s not in high school anymore! That’s literally why his appearances in s4 are so important and impactful!

Why would portwell ever be given the same amount of weight as rini? Rini was a relationship that spanned in total nearly a year and a half and was between 2 childhood friends and Ricky’s whole character arc is about change which is almost entirely shown through his relationships (especially the romantic ones). Portwell was a at most a 2 month relationship that by their own definition barely got a chance to start and that was the whole point! Doesn’t help that EJ was essentially a rebound again…

Finally idk why or what more you thought portwell was gonna discuss in s4 but they did have an entire serious conversation about their relationship! Gina literally apologized to EJ for thinking he didn’t trust her and was actively trying to ruin her summer by lying/ditching her. And EJ (barely) apologized to her as well (again barely he couldn’t even mutter the words I’m sorry. EJ I will toss you into a piranha infested lake istg…). What more did you need?? She was never gonna get back together with the guy. And if you’re mad that Gina mentioned they didn’t get risotto (something they literally showed that they didn’t do due to EJ’s stupidity in s2 and the whole “I don’t get things right the first time” line in her goodbye speech then that’s on you for being upset about Gina making a joke to prove her and EJ are on good terms idk what to tell you

It's 2024 and I'm still thinking about how Portwell got done SO dirty by the time crunch of the final two seasons and Tim's laser focus on Rina.

Because while I doubt Rini fans ever wanted a breakup there, at least it was a pretty well-written break-up. It was slow, steady, progressed logically from their character traits, and was treated with a significant amount of weight by the narrative when they did break up, with both of them given scenes to process and unpack.

Portwell by contrast...its fans had to watch as Gina uncharacteristically blew up at EJ for not being flawlessly transparent and then they broke up near the end of the season before there was even a proper ATTEMPT to talk about their struggles. And then neither got any screentime to process the relationship's end because Gina had to immediately switch gears with the 45 minutes left before Rina canon, and the writers cared so little about EJ that they "resolved" his Cash subplot and then banished him from the show for several episodes.

And when they finally brought him back AND made it seem like they were going to talk about Portwell? It was just more effort to hastily finish Rina's storyline because they were out of time. The two didn't even get to have a proper conversation until the SERIES FINALE, and they tried to turn it into a joke at Portwell's expense.

Like...I don't even go here. I'm Caswen trash, through and through, but even I'm offended for Portwell fans who at least deserved to have their couple's breakup treated with gravitas and consequence!

Have to talk about someone besides LJ and Toby so here’s some EJ as requested! Sorry I lost your OG question whoever sent it :( Ik EJ has no “canon” backstory but the one I grew up with and the one that the fandom uses the most is the college/ cult one so that’s the one I’m using :3 also I hc EJ a bit different so yeah :3 I had to rewrite this 4 times bc the progress kept getting deleted 😭

After multiple years of living off human organs in the forest, EJ has lost most of his social skills

So he doesn’t really try

He just sneaks into peoples homes, takes what he needs and leaves

He set his sights on you. You were perfect.

Your house is close to the forest, you live alone, you seem to sleep pretty heavy

He’ll be in and out no problem

So he sneaks into your home, quietly. Not waking you

And he stands over you, looking down at you

It’s ironic because he has no eyes, yet the demon inside him lets him see through the dark clearly

He watches you sleep peacefully

Your chest rising and falling rhythmically, your perfectly placed features, your soft breathing

He definitely would’ve had a crush on you in college

College….the fact that you made him think of college, his old life at all in any way at all, he knew you were more than just a quick meal

So he left

What was his next step? Stalking you of course!

He watched you go about your normal days. Talk to your friends, eat your food and watch tv. Normal.

He fantasized about living normally alongside you

He didn’t ask for the life he had now after all, it was thrust upon him

Part of him almost hated you for being so carefree but he knew that wasn’t fair to you

Since he can’t be part of your normal life, you’ll have to be part of his weird one

He took you from your home in your sleep, only using the smallest injection of drugs to keep you unconscious

And you woke up screaming in his cabin in the forest

He hated you screaming at the sight of him

Not only because it annoyed him, but you’re supposed to be making him feel normal. You’re just reminding him that he’s a monster

You stay silent for days you stayed silent and frozen in fear

Jack understands at first but after multiple days of your silence he gets angry

Part of him loved that he was able to take someone else’s normal life away like his was

After an unsuccessful hunt for food, he talks to you, upset

“What’s the point of you being here if all you’re going to do is stare at me?!”

You look at him silently still

“Say something to me! Anything! Just….talk to me like I’m….”

“Like you’re what?”

The first words you’ve said to him…

You two start to talk. Not like you have much else to do

And after days of talking you start to weirdly get along with him. And you don’t even know what he looks like

He always covered head to toe, black clothes, black gloves, blue mask with his black hoodie covering his head. You were barely able to figure out he had brown hair because you saw one tuff

You don’t want to upset your literal captor so you don’t push it

“Why are you staring at me like that?”

“I…just don’t know what you look like”

“You don’t have to”

Jack is terrified of showing you what he looks like. How could he even explain his appearance. Talking with you has been the most normal he’s felt in years. If he shows you what he looks like…that feeling is over

He hears you ask softly

“No…you don’t need to see what I look like”

“You kidnapped me it’s literally the least you can do”

“I won’t judge”

“There’s so much about me I can’t explain. I… talking with you has made me forget about what I am. So please….let me savor this feeling”

Then days turn into weeks and into months

He legs out a sigh

“Is this really what you want?”

“Only if you take it off” he was fully ready for your look of disgust and screams of terror

And so you do and you smile at him as you take him in, his grey skin, soft brown hair that falls into his face a bit and sharp teeth oh and no eyes

“Why aren’t you screaming?”

“I don’t know”

Jacks been sleeping by your side since that night

You guys don’t call yourself a couple, but it’s basically what you are

But being with him isn’t all fun

When he had to hunt he comes back angry, not at you, but the fact that he has to do it at all

So he’s snappy, irritable and barely talks and he’s just not pleasant to be around when he’s like that

He hates hunting and feeding and won’t do it for days and only does it when absolutely necessary

When that happens the demon he’s hosting takes over and it’s terrifying

He gets much taller, he barely talks, becomes more animalistic and at night he just stares at you, like he’s trying to hold himself back from attacking you

He hates that you have to see him like that but he also hates hunting and feeding

When he feeds he will never do it around you

He’ll always go in another room but you can hear everything

You can hear the noises of him eating because he eats like a ravenous animal

You can hear his growling and panting and fleshy ripping noises as he tears into the meat of the organs with his teeth

He’ll come back to your bedroom blood, around his mouth, hands and the rest of him and you have to pretend everything is normal or he’ll get mad

“You think because I don’t have eyes I can see the way you look at me?! Stop looking at me like that!”

You can only look away

He can’t take you out like a normal boyfriend can because of the way he looks and it makes him upset

So when he sees you wanting to do normal couple things it hits a nerve

“You know damn well I can’t do that”

He’s upset that he can’t be normal alongside you and give you what you deserve

He tries to take you on walks around the forest but he knows you deserve more

He’s super possessive of you and keeps you by his side at all times. You’re the only thing that makes him feel normal

Even though he trusts you he always is watching you to make sure you don’t try to escape

Try to escape and there WILL be consequences

But hopefully it’ll never come to that

Jack sometimes gets really depressed about how his life turned out so sometimes if that happens he’ll just cry

Well, he’ll try to

The tar burned his tear ducts and he has no eyes so he’ll just make these heaving noises and they’re so sad to listen to

It’s so heartbreaking that he can’t do a human thing like cry

So you just hold him as he makes those noises, comforting him as best you can

“I wish I could look into your eyes, Jack”

“Me too”

He hasn’t had a romantic connection like this in years

His last romantic interest was Jenny the girl who made him this monster in the first place so sometimes he’s scared you’re going to somehow you’re gonna betray him

He knows he’s being paranoid though or so he hopes

On top of that he’s not good at communicating / being social at all since he’s spent so much time alone

So when he’s upset or angry or has a problem with you he won’t talk it out with you he just leaves or is quiet. Worst case scenario, just mean

“Did I do something wrong?”

“Doesn’t matter. I’ll get over it so just drop it.”

“But-“

“Drop it. Now.”

He gets better with communication as time goes on

Although he still really struggles with it

He’s also not very affectionate so it’ll feel like you’re alone even when he’s with you

He doesn’t do it on purpose, hes just so used to not receiving affection and he hasn’t given anyone affection in years

After some talks he’ll get better with it

He really does love you he just doesn’t exactly know how to show it

But he tries

He knows you can’t leave the house with him so when he’s out, he’ll get you your favorite food, a trinket or something else you like

He sleeps much better now that you’re next to him

He’s grateful for you

He really is. You didn’t have to open up to him and accept him but you did and he’ll forever love you for that

Since your actual house is close to the forest you actually take him back to your house and live with him normally

You watch TV together, lounge around and get takeout that he can’t consume so he watches you eat it and just laugh and talk

When he’s with you, he’s normal. You’re his normal. His home. He finally found what he wanted in you

Although it’s not perfect, you’re together and that’s all he needs

Who did he think he was?! y/n wasn’t his soulmate! Sooha was and he still rejected her even after everything that has happened?!

I decided to take her stupid potion… and here I was staring angrily at the moon. My wolf was gone… It felt a bit lonely.

“And here I thought you wouldn't take the potion” I heard a voice that made my heart jump… I could only look at her.

She still wore bandages on her neck… Jake really did a number on her. He went too far.

“By the looks of it also, Solon isn’t present anymore. I guess the medicine is the reason?” she aside and she was right.

“That's not healthy for a wolf… but you are a hybrid so there are exceptions,” she said and I knew that. It was in the books she let me borrow… that I still haven’t given back.

“Jungwon and Sunoo are worried about you,” she said and I was shocked. I was happy they still cared, I thought they didn’t anymore…

“K! Slow down!” I heard as I saw a brown wolf and the vampire-human hybrid chase after him. He seemed to run straight at me and y/n as she now hid behind them making me growl.

“Get away from her!” I said and he scoffed. “How about we switch? y/n for Sooha?” he asked and I should have said yes but instead I declined.

“K, please you can’t do this,” Sooha said with tears in his eyes. “Sooha, you should be in your dorm, a werewolf can bite–” “Why should I?! I thought you were my friend! Friends tell each other how mad they are and don't take each other's soulmates!” she yelled.

I hate to admit but that was hypocritical…

“Then take your own advice,. K I’ll help you find EJ,” she said angrily. I huffed and jumped up trying to get her attention but not hurting her. 

“I’ll help… just stay with Sunghoon. He doesn’t deserve you rejecting him… I don’t like either of them like that y/n. Please give them a chance” Sooha said and the witch seemed to know that…

“Does she know K is her soulmate?” she asked and I was shocked. SHE KNEW?! I nodded and she sighed… “K can stop hiding from her now,” she said and it made sense as to why Riverfield didn’t talk to her anymore.

“Act like a werewolf and actually embrace this side of you,” she said as started walking away but I followed… which made her quite annoyed…

“I don’t think you want to follow me back to my dorm as a wolf,” she said bluntly and I whined, making her sigh.

“Go find Sooha… surely you want to be around her more than me,” she said and I knew I was annoyed about what that Riverfield werewolf did but… I wanted to be around her.

“Just because she rejected you, you think you can now come to me? Just because I'm your soulmate?” she asked and I shook my head. Was she right though?

“I’m not your backup option, Sunghoon”

It’s been hours since she left me…

The eclipse was wearing off now and I was now in my vampire form… I had to find her. I couldn’t let her think that lowly of me.

When I was in the student council… was she always working? I knocked when she scoffed at the sight of me. “Whatever you want to ask, take it up with Wonyoung,” she said and I chuckled. 

“I don’t think she can accept my apology,” I said and she sighed waiting for me to talk. “I liked Sooha your right. But I’ve been miserable for weeks now… I thought at first it was fine ‘cause I liked Sooha but I guess I don’t if I’m bothered that K has a crush on you!” I ranted and her eyes widened. “What?” she asked and I didn’t really care at this point.

“Sooha and K are soulmates… but he rejected her because he likes you,” I said and she shook her head. “K doesn’t like me. He’s known about Sooha being his soulmate longer than he’s known me, he probably doesn’t want to interfere with the four of you” she said and in reality, it made the most sense.

Part of me though hopede it was... cause if he had to compete with a Riverfield wolf he was actually

“y/n… I want a chance. I want to be happy like Jungwon, Sunoo, and Niki are.” I begged her and she only stared at me with blank eyes. “I’m not your–” “I know you aren’t! I don’t think you ever were?!” I said really unsure of myself

“Sunghoon if you’re not sure why are–” “I don’t know! I just… I'm jealous of them. I wanna be happy too and I thought Sooha made me happy but I guess she doesn’t if–”

“Sunghoon you’re ranting… you need to calm down, especially after an eclipse” she said and I shook my head. 

“y/n… I felt horrible for weeks. I deserve it because I would’ve done the same to you, but it opened my eyes… and I’ll be honest. I don’t think I ever felt these feelings for Sooha like I feel with you. Everything is just... intense? Amplified?” I said and I could see that she didn’t believe me. 

“Sunghoon, Jay is waiting for you in the dorm” I heard the aggressive voice of Sunoo… he’s been annoyed by all of us recently.

“Sunoo please?” I asked and he shook his head. “Hyung you should leave,” he asked and I felt defeated. “You know how I was… you witnessed it. Sunoo, I’m asking you to trust me… I think I genuinely want to accept the bond” I asked and he was silent for a while.

“Do you still like Sooha?” he asked and I knew he used his power…. “Not romantically” I answered and I felt my thoughts run free again

His eyes widened before they softened… “Sunoo?” I heard her ask confused about what was happening. He smiled at her in a way that I hadn’t seen in a while… “Remember about my power? He’s telling the truth” he said and she looked conflicted.

She must’ve not realized how she put her hand around her throat… “I’m not Jake, I never want to hurt you. All of us were shocked at what he did and it was out of line” I said and she nodded. 

“Let me think about it”

I went back to my dorm… Sunoo said he’d talk to y/n about it but I was sure of my decision. No more rejecting my wolf nor more rejecting my soulmate.

“You’re being immature Jungwon!” I heard as I opened the door revealing Jake arguing with Jungwon… “Jake, stop. It’s his decision so stop arguing” Jay tried to reason. 

“Jay, come on! Even Heeseung is annoyed he’s overworking himself because of the immaturity of Jungwon! Just for y/n?” he argued and I sighed.

Out of all of us, he was the blindest... even I could admit that. He's always been obsessed with Sooha.

“Sunghoon-hyung!” I heard as I saw Niki. Despite him being on y/n’s side he did try calming everyone down. “Are you okay?” he asked and I nodded. 

“I decided to stop ignoring Solon,” I said and he looked shocked. 

“But what about his constant comments of wanting to be why y/n?” Jay asked and I sighed. “I think I’m ready to accept her if she accepts me. She is our soulmate… and Sooha isn’t” I said not wanting to tell them about last night…

“Now Sunghoon has been bewitched,” Jake said and Jay followed to try to calm him down… “Why the sudden change?” Jungwon asked and I sighed. “When she rejected me I thought it was just my wolf sadness but then I realized it was because of me also… when you guys were with her and even when Niki got accepted by her I was jealous. I want a chance to be with my soulmate like how you guys are” I confessed without mentioning that stupid Riverfield wolf and they nodded. 

“But I thought you liked Sooha?” Niki asked and I sighed “I thought I did too” I confessed… 

“Maybe I’ve been ignoring my feelings for too long”

“I just don’t understand why the sudden change?” I asked and Sunoo smiled softly. “He has been very bad these last few weeks… moping and dazed more than usual. Something must’ve pushed him to finally snap?” he said and I wondered…

“He said something about Sooha and K being soulmates,” I said, knowing Sunoo would keep it a secret. “THEY'RE–” “SHHH… K told me when we first met that he found out about Heeseung rejecting me. He rejected her though and said he liked me–” As I said it I noticed his angry look…

“He won’t take you away,” He said with a serious tone and face. “He won’t… I’ve already accepted you, Jungwon, and Niki as my soulmates” I reassured and he nodded as he hugged me 

“Maybe jealousy finally showed him what he was feeling?” Sunoo suggested and thought so too…

“What did you do to Sunghoon?!” I heard as I saw Jake rush into the council room. I felt my body freeze a bit still weary of him but Sunoo rushed in front of me. “Jake, leave,” he said and I heard him scoff.

“Yah! She bewitched Sunghoon!” he accused but before we could say anything Jay was rushing in. “Jake, stop!” he yelled… he was the only soulmate who I hadn’t touched, but he was also blinded by his feelings also

“I just want to talk to her so she can tell me what kind of spell she did to all of you! So get out of my way, Sunoo!” Jake yelled but before anyone could say anything else… 

“Jake, you should stop before Sunoo decides to control you,” Heeseung said… I peeked from behind Sunoo and he looked tired and pale.

“Heeseung! Sunghoon wants to accept the soulmate bond–""Then let him” Heeseung answered quickly… 

“Sooha officially found her soulmate,” he said and I was shocked he would just rip off the bandaid. “What?” Jake said… I saw sadness in his face, almost like he just lost something…

“Her soulmate is K from Riverfield and he apparently likes a certain witch,” he said as we made eye contact. Sunoo covered his view and mine… 

“That doesn’t concern you… the both of you rejected her, and you don’t plan on accepting her either” Sunoo said.

“Why the hell is the council room filled with vampires this early in the morning?!” I heard a familiar annoyed voice. 

“This doesn’t concern you–” “You’re literally in the witch council room where I have work to do, I don’t care what type of love affair crap is happening,” Wonyoung said making me laugh a bit. 

“I have to agree with you. y/n we have a lot of work to do, but I’m guessing the vampires have time to spare?” EJ said. “EJ I thought you weren’t coming in today?” I asked and he smiled softly. 

“I’ll be fine, but I’m the only one in today,” he said and he seemed to ignore the glares from Jake effortlessly. “Sooha!” I soon heard Jake say and I saw how his eyes lit up but then died down at her tear-stained face. 

“Jake?” she said confused…

“We need vampire repellent,” Wonyoung said. “Maybe some stakes, garlic, and holy water?” EJ suggested. These two stayed unbothered…

“Ooh maybe–” “Everything you're suggesting is myths,” Sunoo said and they laughed. 

“Maybe you’re just saying that to trick us!”

After the incident in the morning, today was a busy day…

Now I had to go to the human / vampire council to help Sangyeon with some paperwork and suggestions he had. 

I went with Niki who was my bodyguard for the moment as he proclaimed.

“Ah, y/n!” I heard as soon as the door opened to the council room. “Regarding the upcoming Summer dance, I've done the paperwork and approved some stuff you need to look over,” he said and I nodded as he continued to explain but it was quite hard while being glared at by Jake and eyed by Sunghoon.

“Niki, wanna actually help us?” I heard Jake say but I decided not to get into their own conflicts… and I guess Niki has nothing to say either.

“y/n!” I heard two voices say… Sunghoon and Sooha who I didn’t notice until now. “I… I wanted to talk to her” Sunghoon said to the girl and she sighed and muttered ‘me too’

“Um… im going back to the council room where I don’t think either of you are welcome unfortunately,” I said and Sooha visibily deflated as Jay patted her back whilst Sunghoon stood up otherwise. 

“I’ll walk you there!” he offered like a puppy… I looked at Niki who gave him an unamused look… 

“Come on!” he said, not letting me decline. 

I decided to allow it and we walked together in silence… but not peaceful silence, it’s almost as if I could feel Sunghoon’s anxiety radiating off him.

“Hyung,” Niki muttered, annoyed and almost embarrassed. “Ah! I’m not making you uncomfortable right?! That's the last–''Sunghoon calm down” I said to stop his fast talking.

“You want to ask something right?” I asked and he nodded. 

“Have you thought about it?” he asked and I smiled softly. “Sunoo says you're telling the truth… but I don’t want you to separate from your friends. I feel guilty as it is–" "So that's a yes!” he said with a grin not caring for what I had to say about his friends…

I laughed silently and nodded.

Eyeless Jack x reader who is scared of spiders

Spiders are a common fear, quite a few people are scared of them.

You’d say you were actually terrified of them though. Just seeing one from across the room caused you to freak out. 

Everyone in the mansion respected this, doing their best to not point out a spider or trying to remove it before you see it.

Yes, even Jeff. He was an asshole and he liked seeing people scared, but he considered you a friend and the last thing he wanted was to upset you (well, really upset you. He did like to tease you every now and then)

Plus, you’re with Jack, and given he’s very protective of you and the whole demon thing, no one wants to risk making him mad. 

Except for Masky. In his defense though, he didn’t know exactly how scared you were of them. He thought you’d be a little scared and then laugh once you found out it was just a plastic spider. 

Obviously, he was an idiot. 

You were sitting on the couch, tired from playing outside with Sally, when Masky sat next to you. 

“Hey, want to see something cool?” 

You turn to face him, smiling as you nod. 

That smile quickly turns to a frown when you see the spider he put on your lap. 

You jump up, backing into the wall as you start hyperventilating, sobbing, and screaming to get it off.

Masky laughs as he picks it up, telling you “It’s just plastic, it’s not real!” He holds it out to you, but you only scream to get it away, unable to back up anymore due to the wall. 

He quickly realizes that you were not hearing anything he said as he watched you stand there shaking. 

“What the fuck happened?” You barely can make out Jeff's figure through your blurred vision. 

“It was a prank! I didn’t think they’d get this scared!” Masky groans, now really regretting what he did.

“I’m sorry!” And he does mean it, but that doesn’t seem to matter much now.

“Oh, you’re going to be really fucking sorry.” 

Jack storms up to him, shoving him against the couch. “I’ll deal with you later.” 

Even Jeff is a bit taken aback. He’s never heard Jack sound so pissed. 

“Hey, darling. Look at me.” Jack is now in front of you. His hand is gently lifting your chin up. “You’re okay. It’s not a real spider, you’re safe.” 

You let him wrap you in his arms as you finally start to calm down.

“I’m sorry,” you squeak out.

“Don’t be, love. You have nothing to apologize for.” He rubs your back as he gently rocks you back and forth, the movement helping you calm down. 

He continues to hold you until you are fully calm and able to breathe normally. 

Even though you're calm now, he’ll stay by your side for the rest of the day, every now and then looking in Masky’s direction who can feel the glare even if he can’t see it.

Jack wants to hurt him for what he did to you, but he decides that letting Masky live in fear for the next few days, anxiously waiting for him to pounce, is much more amusing.

Bloody Painter Headcanons

Did y’all miss these? Idc if this seems like a weird direction to go from my past two HC lists, I’ve always loved Helen as a character and I just went and read up on all the compiled lore DeluCat made of him years ago, and I got some HCs fresh in my mind!

I used THIS YouTube video from DeluCat herself as my main source, assume anything I don’t list/discuss here is filled in by anything here. I’m actually really impressed that she did so much research on different serial killers, psych ward operations, and violent crimes to make Helen as realistic as possible.

Expect canon typical horror/mature topics being discussed from this point forward, nothing is censored beyond this point!!!!

Roughly about 25, give or take a few years

STRICTLY he/him, will react violently if anyone calls him different pronouns, especially feminine ones

Despite this, he’s definitely not cis (it’s actually canon that he’s agender! Friendly reminder that pronouns =/= gender)

Him and Ben have a somewhat transactional relationship; Helen films all the depraved torture and crafting he enacts and shares it with Ben, and Ben prints out news articles of Helen’s crimes for Helen to make art with, or just look at to admire his handiwork

Actually he really loves killing people with unconventional murder weapons. Scenes are often found with things like metal straws lodged in a victim’s sternum, or the top of a bowling pin shoved down a victim’s throat so far their jaw broke and the victim subsequently choked on their own blood from their shattered teeth

He’s gotten so good at this that the other pastas will literally make a game out of it and challenge him to use an outlandish item as a weapon the next time he kills

He’s also able to get comfortable and sleep practically anywhere, in the weirdest positions too. Is often found passed out in his studio sitting up, or laying on the floor covered in metal torture tools and bones

Despite his lack of empathy, his blood boils and he seethes if anyone dares to mess with Sally

The first day he stumbled across the manor and introduced himself by what the media called him, Sally gave him a drawing of himself, and he vowed on the spot to look out for the little snot

Is already a naturally patient person, and is incredibly patient and gentle when explaining how to do specific art things to Sally

Jokingly “agrees” with Sally about not liking doctors whenever she’s around eyeless Jack (though in his case he hates psych doctors vastly more than physical ailment doctors)

Back to the patience thing: will stalk a victim for months to toy with them. He has an eternity to do this to people with his newfound abilities granted to him by slenderman, why rush?

•Jeff was basically a serial killer before he died and his story is basically the same as the Jeff wood’s story. It’s fine that it is unrealistic people there are literally demons and ghosts in this au and in creepypasta in general lol.

•Jeff just likes to scare people as a ghost but if anyone mocks him he will try to hurt them

tbh i am kinda worried if the chocolates are a part of season 4, because ricky lied (even if it wasn’t maliciously) and joked (not malicious as well, but still bad) about them, especially since she hates liars. and especially because it’s been months. it’s honestly the one worry i have about their dynamic, weirdly because i came across a pro-portwell fanfic around the time when the alternate script of their first kiss came out from that aroundthewaygirl person because it was in the rina tag and it made me rethink how bad it kind of is, especially because nini is kind of mentioned like he was shielding himself “and i was going through such a weird time with” idk sjdjdjfj

pws don't really have the best track record so i wouldn't worry about their thoughts on the show ksdfhkdjf

re gina saying she hates liars, i feel like that’s kind of addressed with the scene at the end of 3x07. i'm pretty sure gina's fully aware that ricky's not being honest about what was caught on camera and that he’s choosing to lie about it bc she just broke up with ej, considering that he blatantly pauses for a few seconds to think of what to say and his change of tone after she tells him about the break up. they’re also just generally pretty receptive of each other, so imo her saying

is moreso geared towards ricky lying about his confession bc it wouldn’t be right to tell her at the time, rather than the ‘carlos looks majestic in his olaf costume’ thing

and tying that into the chocolates, ricky lying about the chocolates was in a similar vein; he was thinking of gina’s feelings. i can't speak on the chocolates to too much of an extent bc it's still not fully canon yet so we don't truuuuly know ricky's intentions, but my belief has always been that he knows what it feels like to feel forgotten by his mom and he didn't want that for gina, which is supported by the original script, "i knew you… needed something. or deserved something." and diving back into how gina would feel about it, it would be going behind her back for a good reason, which…………

it's obviously a bit more nuanced than that and i think that it'll cause tension. but ultimately in regards to lying, there's a fundamental difference between the lies ej told that gina hated & the lies ricky told, ricky only ever really lied in consideration of gina's feelings.

i’ve said this before, but one of the biggest qualms i have with the original confession is that i don’t want ricky to tell her that he got the chocolates bc that negates the reason that he got them in the first place – so gina wouldn’t think her mom had forgotten about her. it’s meant to be a selfless act. if the chocolates are brought up in s4, i’m hoping that they change their approach to it and i think that would address most of the concerns you have. the conflict about timing would be different bc instead of it being ricky keeping something from gina until it could benefit him, it would be a she was never supposed to find out type of thing.

idk if i would necessarily say that he’s using the nini mention to shield himself, i think it’s meant to serve as an admission of him having harbored feelings for gina for a while with an attempt to explain why he never acted upon them, and gina deserves that explanation. it wouldn't have been fair to gina for ricky to make it seem like there's something between them while he was still holding on so tightly to his relationship with nini bc it felt safe & comfortable in the face of his fear of change. ricky didn’t necessarily handle things the best way but it would’ve been significantly worse if he had dragged gina into it all.

they’re teenagers, they’re not perfect and ricky definitely didn’t handle things perfectly in s2. but it’s understandable & you can see where he’s coming from considering everything he’s going through. and if anyone’s gonna understand him, it’s gina.

all that to say, i think a chocolates reveal would cause some tension between the two but tension that can be resolved, bc gina would understand that ricky ultimately lied to her bc he didn't want her to feel alone. so yeah, idk if this alleviated any of your concerns regarding the chocolate theory possibly becoming canon, but i hope this makes some sort of sense bc i had to type this all up twice & my brain's a little fried SJSHFSKJF

Familiar Faces - Dinner and Discoveries Part 3

Summary: Elijah Gilbert has been haunted by dreams of other lives as long as he remembers, but now with the appearance of the Salvatore brother he may finally get some answers.

I figured I should put this here.

Elijah wakes up the next morning feeling surprisingly well slept, a night without a dream was rare. The surprise of it made it several minutes before he remembered what had led to it.

He’s already dressed in the cheer uniform, when Elena joined him in the kitchen he was already apologising when she interrupted to apologise herself and tell him she was quitting the team.

He blinked at her, that would explain the lack of matching outfit.

“If you're sure,” he shrugged, “but Aunt Jenna’s going to be disappointed we’re not going to match.” he told her before asking, “ so what happened after i went to bed?”

“Oh right, are you ok?” she ignored his question to scan him for any sign of visible sickness, 

“Best sleep i’ve had for awhile, i’m guessing my body hit a wall on the sleep i've been missing.” he explained “Who was at the door?”

“Caroline, and Damon.” she answered with a shrug, as she started making her coffee.

“Really.” he said, taking a long drink of his tea to cover the way he had tensed, “What for?”

“Caroline invited herself,” Elena told him, “it wasn’t too bad we got to know Damon, i don’t think he’s all bad, just messed up after Katherine died i think.”

“She died?”

“Yeah a fire, he said it was recent,”she said as she sat across from him at the table, coffee in hand, “he also didn’t know about their brother.”

“What?” he choked on his tea, ‘how don’t you know your younger brother died?’ he thought an odd emotion growing in his chest, he ignored it and focused on Elena.

“He knew but not at nine, he thought he was older. Apparently he thought their dad had sent him away.” Elena explained before adding “I don't think Damon and their dad got on.”

Elijah didn’t respond, instead cupped his hands around his mug, ‘understatement’ he thought.

Hiding as they shouted, until the sound of flesh on flesh, throwing himself to the floor with a loud cry, a room away, because it made father stop, and kept Dam with him.

Elijah doesn’t hate red, not quite like the unexplainable hatred of White.

Complete explainable considering the years EJ was surrounded by it

He just understands there can been too much red, such as the uniform he wore, the outfit was far thinner and tighter than any he normally wore, the absence of his preferred layers and his bare arms, had him wishing he had joined Elena but he was aware that if they had both quit Caroline would be unbearable and while he sister could ignore her guilt trips elijah’s wouldn’t be so lucky.

He had let Elena go ahead to explain her choice to Caroline going to his locker to leave a book. Which meant he was crossing the field alone.

“Looking good Gilbert!” He heard called before he managed to make it to the girls, turning he wasn’t surprised to find Grant from the football team heading towards him with two of the others following.

“Where’s the skirt?” Marcus asked, Elijah wondered if he was aware of his mother’s affair

“On the girls, while I could no doubt pull it off, it was decided I would be too much of a distraction.” He smiled at them, while petty insults weren’t enough for him to respond with airing their families issues, it was alway nice to have the upper hand even if they didn’t.

“Leave him be guys, it's the closest he’s ever going to come to a proper team uniform.” the last in the group laughed.

“That might bother me if I was as insecure as any of you,”he told them “thankfully i know i’m more than the ability to throw and catch a ball.” he explained, smirking as their grins dimmed “i’m sure you’ll get there one day.”

When he managed to join the girls it seemed seeing him in the uniform Caroline had pushed at him the day before was enough to pull her from her pout at Elena’s quitting.

“Why is it sleeveless?” he asked the thing that had been bothering him since he left the house, most the other guys’ cheer uniforms had sleeves and longer shirts that didn’t rid up as much

“To match us.” Caroline tells him brightly.

“Could be worse.” Tiki smirked, eyeing him, before he could say anything Bonnie finished for her.

“Shorts.”

“Ok i accept that,” he admitted for all he was confident he could pull off a skirt or shorts he felt cold at just the thought “but why?” he added as he stretched his arms above him, raising the hem on the shirt with it to show his stomach.

“To match us.” Caroline repeated, “I designed it, you’re, like, the first boy on the team in years. I needed to update it.”

Caroline looked so fond and proud of her work he smothered any further complaints, and the idea of a crop top version flashed through his mind.

He’ll be happy with what he got.

Elijah didn’t normally jump into a fight so quickly but after the wood and knowing the tension between Jeremy and Tyler, he was moving the moment Vicki’s voice caught his ears when he noticed Tyler’s absence from the team line up.

He’s not sure what he blames on his actions when he arrives to see Tyler’s arm in Stefan’s grip.

Jermey on the ground behind them, his eyes caught his bloodied nose before he moved.

He punched him, his fist going smacking against Tyler’s cheek hard enough that for a moment Stefan was the only thing holding him up.

“JEREMY NO!”

He looked back to where Jeremy was in time to raise his hand to catch the broken glass.

It burned, sharp and painful.

‘I’m sure the grand Elijah can take more.’ Sir- Mr de Martel gloats, the bloodied knife in his hand.

Then several things at once happened, Stefan let go of Tyler and stumbled back, Matt arrived to grab Tyler, Jeremy realised who he had slashed and Elena arrived.

“Shit!”

“ELIJAH!”

“I didn’t-”

“Jeremy!”

“Great choice on sleeveless.” he heard himself say as he stared at the open wound across his hand and wrist, Caroline let out a surprised little laugh.

“This wasn’t why” she muttered.

“The pair of you need-” Elena said little between them, Jeremy’s bloodied face, his bleeding hand held up.

Elijah watches his blood drip, the jagged wound cut across his palm and down his wrist, for a minute he's not outside, he’s in his room barely containing his giggles as he watches the red swallow white.

“He’s the one who got involved.” Jeremy snapped, pulling Elijah back as he  yanked his arm away from Elena, his attempt to use anger to cover the guilt was clear to Elijah even as the pain in his arm was confusing him on where he was.

Focus of Jeremy he reminded himself, suddenly feeling angry.

“Tyler could have pressed charges, anyone else might have.” he hissed as he pressed the cloth, that he had gotten from a quiet Bonnie, into his hand and forced it to curl despite the pain and grabbed Jeremy with his good hand before he could flee. “I've been leaving this to Elena but are you really so stuck in your own head?” He found himself snapping, words too loud to be said with an audience. 

He ignored that voice in his head telling him ‘not now’, as he noticed Caroline, Bonnie and Stefan still close, Tyler and Matt further away with the team, but he was tired of watching Jeremy spiral and keeping everything to himself, waiting for him to talk when all it had gotten was Jeremy believing he had shut himself off.

Terrified, he'd start seeing the street version of himself willing to do anything for another fix, an escape, in Jeremy.

They wanted him to be open so they could deal with it.

“Selfish,” he snapped when he found Jeremy staring at him, “you’re not the only one that lost them. Elena, Aunt Jenna, me, but you're the one who’s decided to self-destruct and make it more difficult for the rest of us.” 

“You don’t-”

“You want us to stop caring, not going to happen.” he bit out cutting Jeremy before he could say anything else stupid. “You want to go down, I'm following you.” he told him, bringing the bloody hand between them, the open wound on his wrist was still bleeding steadily, “Let’s count this as the first, because if you keep this up it won’t be the last scar I gain.” he said with confidence, a odd feeling filling him, like he had done this before. Jeremy stared at him with wide eyes.

He let go of Jeremy after that, letting him storm away.

“You need to take tonight off.” Caroline told him before Elena could start fetting.

“I can still hold a banner,” he tried but gave in at the sight of both Caroline and his twin looking at him in disapproval. “Fine, let me bandage it and I'll sit on the sidelines.”

“We need to have it looked at.” Elena started.

“You might need stitches” Stefan added, Elijah blinked at the reminder that he was still there, he looked over to find Stefan staring at his dripping wrist intensity.

“You need to go.” he told him, almost glaring at him, “the games’ about to start.” he turned to Caroline and Bonnie and added “ you too.” to hopefully stop it from looking like he had a problem with Stefan.

Stef wouldn’t hurt him- it hurts- sharp pain in his neck.

A century was enough to gain control. A part of him that understood what was going on, that had seemingly accepted vampires were real.

Clearly that part was mad and needed to be ignored.

They left and he allowed Elena to pull him to the first aid station where the nurst was set up in case of any injuries.

“What you said to Jeremy-” Elena started to ask.

“I shouldn’t have said it in front of everybody.” he sighed,

“How long have you been holding all that in?” she asked leaning into him

“Since after the funeral, when he snapped at you and you still covered for him to aunt Jenna.” he confessed.

“I thought you didn’t care.” Elena told him and it hurt, he was trying to make it easier on them not worse.

“Sorry I thought it would be easier if I didn't.”

“On who?” she asked

“Myself, you, Aunt Jenna.“ he admitted,

“We’re all gone about this wrong, Jah.” she told him,

“I don’t think there’s a right way to grieve, Na” he replied

“Definitely not Jeremy’s way at least,” Elena added after a moment, shaking the sober mood with it.

“Yeah,” he nodded “we can agree that’s worst.” he winced as he opened his fist, pulling the cloth from the cut and unleashing more blood

“Stop playing with it.” Elena yelled, slapping his shoulder.

He smiled as was about to complain when he noticed the necklace around her neck.

“Wh-where’d you get that necklace?” he asked, not quite stopping the stutter, Elena he thinks blames it on the cut, blood loss or pain, it didn’t matter when she frowned but answered anyway.

“Stefan gave it to me, are you sure we shouldn’t get you to the hospital, at least let me call Aunt Jenna.”

“No” he shook his head “No, you go ahead to watch the game, i’ll call Jenna once the nurse has looked at it.” he smiled when she gave in and left him.

He stuck around just long enough to get his hand and wrist bandaged, leaving as soon as he could to find Stefan.

He knew that necklace, had been drawing it since he was a child, but it didn’t belong to his dreams of the ‘sick child’ or any possible Salvatore.

It was from the strange timeless ones before them, on the neck of a sharply smiling blonde girl. 

It was sketched in painstaking detail in the back of every notebook.

That necklace belonged with the language he shouldn’t know and the runes he couldn’t read.

Stefan was so sure of him, Damon was going to have to correct him

“Salvatore!” the coach called “What the hell? We've got a game to play!.” giving Damon a perfect opportunity to show Stefan right away, and he was about the tell stefan just that when another voice joined it.

“Stefan!” Elijah Gilbert panted as he ran towards them.

 Damon watched Eli, at seventeen living, breathing, healthier than Damon ever used to let himself dream, came jogging up to them.

“Gilbert, i’m talking.” the Coach who owed his continued breathing of Elijah alone shouted. 

He had seen the photos but it was something else to see him in the flesh, Alive, it almost hurt but in a good way.

“Where did you get the necklace?” Elijah asked as he arrived in front of them, eyes on Stefan alone, Damon would feel insulted if it didn’t give him time to stare without issue, to take in and memorise what his little brother would have grown into, did grow into.

“Gilbert!” The coach tried again, and Damon, once again reminded himself that killing one of his littlest brother’s teachers in front of him was a bad first impression, human’s didn’t take it well.

Stefan deserved the hell he had promised him, Elijah hadn’t done a thing.

Except die.

“Your hand.” Stefan’s worried words pulled his attention to the white wrapping  the teenager’s wrist, he narrowed his eyes but reminded himself he'd have time for that sort of thing later.

Wouldn’t do to scare Elijah away if he didn’t have any of his memories of them yet.

It was unlikely though as Eli’s dreams had started haunting him around five if not before and he just couldn’t explain them.

“No-” Elijah shook his head and grabbed Stefan with both hands, ignoring the stinging pain he had to have gotten from bending the wrapped hand “Where did you get the necklace?”

“Why does it-” Damon watched as Stefan looked at the boy in confusion until movement caught his eye and he moved.

“Gil-” he cut the coach off with a hand around his throat when he reached for the boy. The boy apparently didn’t notice, the necklace was too important to him it seemed.

Where had Stefan found it for it to cause this reaction.

“It predates you.” he heard Elijah hiss, the boy sounded confused and angry at his own words.

“What?” Stefan asked in confusion, which Damon would agree if he didn’t have an idea what was going on.

“You’ve seen it in your dreams?” he asked, his smile fading when Elijah turned to look at him. 

“Dam.” Elijah looked at him with recognition, before his eyes rolled back and he fainted.

Elijah had just enough time to take in a familiar face, and eyes he knew were blue despite the dim light, before the black spots he had been ignoring swallowed his vision.

Damon watched as Stefan caught Elijah before he could hit the floor.

He didn't let himself feel too worried, Elijah’s heart was beating steady, he’d likely pushed himself too much looking for Stefan after whatever had caused the cut he could smell under the bandage.

‘Dam’ Elijah had called him, he remembered already, even if it was only a little Damon would bring the rest of his memories back.

But that was for later, now with Elijah out cold, there were no witnesses, he thought with a smile, the coach was still struggling in his hand.

“You were saying something about my humanity…” he said, getting Stefan's attention from where he was trying to wake Eli and pulling the coach closer “really then what's this?” he asked, and tore through the coach’s throat.

“No!” Stefan shouted uselessly but kept hold of Elijah twisting to put himself between them.

“Anyone, anytime, any place.” he gloated as a reminder..

“Even him.” Stefan asked, nodding to the teenager he was holding up.

‘It was odd to see his little brother and littlest brother the same age.’ he thought.

“Of course not.” he admitted allowing himself another look at Elijah, almost peaceful in his sleep, “I have plans for our lost little brother.”

“They're not the same.”

Oh poor Stefan, he thought, Isn’t he?

Stefan carries Elijah away from the school and the coach’s body, he wasn’t going to leave him there, couldn’t risk him being linked.

It wasn’t hard to slip into the Gilbert’s house and Elijah’s room to lay him on his bed, forcing himself not to look at anything and taking scratches from the angry black and white cat while barely avoiding the teeth from the smaller black one when he pulled Elijah’s phone out to text Elena that he went home. 

Mr. Tanner was dead because he had pushed Damon on his humanity.

“Anyone, anytime, any place.”

Lives didn’t matter to Damon, he couldn’t be left to do as he wanted, even if he still contained a hint of humanity. The way he had moved when Coach had reached for Elijah, the look in his eyes when he looked at Elijah.

“I have plans for our lost little brother.”

Eli had already been killed by one older brother, he didn’t need the other destroying the life of some poor kid that looked like him, in his memory.

Elijah woke up in the middle of the night for once not due to strange too-real dreams but due to abnormally loud snarled hisses and growls.

He blinked as sat up, surprised to find Kit and Luci weren’t snarling at each other but both at the empty window.

“What got into you guys?” he asked as both cats turned at his voice, Luci came straight to headbut his chin, digging his claws into his thigh, while Kit began to settle down and curl in his lap.

He sat for a moment before giving up on staying awake and fell backwards onto his pillow with a loud sigh, Luci took the opportunity to settle on his chest and neck, he was asleep again within seconds.

He never noticed Damon Salvatore standing outside the widow.

Defeated by a pair of cats, ‘Stefan should employ the felines to guard Elena’ Damon thought as he listened to Elijah fall back to sleep. Getting into her room had been simple, he hadn’t expected he would have been chased away by a pair of overgrown furballs when he tried Elijah’s.

I really hate how they made it seem like Gina never had feelings for EJ that is just bad writing in my opinion. Gina doesn’t seem like the type of girl that would just date anyone that likes her without having feelings for them. I know some people are in love with the idea of being in love but that doesn’t sound like Gina to me. As a Portwell shipper I still like Gina I just don’t always agree with some of the choices that she makes. I hope that makes sense.

I completely agree anon. If they wanted a Portwell breakup, fine. They could have handled it 100000x better but fine. But why did they need to erase everything we saw with Portwell? Why disrespect those fans, why disrespect the relationship they had done such a good job developing? What's the point? It's not like you can't have feelings for multiple people in your life.

And it's so obvious she did have feelings for him. I mean, look at how completely happy she was during all her s2 scenes with him, especially at the end. Look at her face when she asks, "Can I kiss you?" Look at her face throughout the beginning of s3 even. When he brought her flowers. Their little kisses. So many moments. To say she had no feelings for him or barely any feelings is just straight-up lying and gaslighting the audience.

. Slender came to her multiple times, although she refused. That is, until he took her by force with he help of Jeffery, the Proxies, and Eyeless Jack.

. She hates all of them. Masky and Jeff especially. Except toby. She loves toby.

. She's incredibly reckless with almost anything she does. The first few times she went on missions, she had to be watched to make sure the cops didn't show up, and that she didn't decide to have a death match with them.

.Aggressive as fuck, she loves to argue and debate and is super competitive too. She has no boundaries or filters when arguing and doesn’t care if you cry, sorry

Yoiiiiiiii! Great minds think alike😙

But I’ve actually been wanting to talk about this for a couple of days. I recently saw a YouTube Short that listed the most hated trainees in survival shows. Seon represented for I-Land, but K and Ni-ki were mentioned in the comments. A LOT. And I saw one comment that didn’t have any replies, so I couldn’t fact check it quite well (it’s been so long since I watched I-Land and I didn’t know if what EJ said has been outside of I-Land so—), but it made the comparison of Ni-ki being the most hated because of what he did to Taki and EJ because of what he did to Daniel. I was very scared that this is going to be true but like I said, I could not fact check it exactly. But now that I know that it’s true, I have very complicated feelings.

I started to watch I-Land a long time ago, after I became a fan of ENHYPEN, and I’m honestly so fucking glad I did. I don’t know if I would be as big of an ENGENE if I watched the show first. Ik that a big contributor of that would’ve been M Snake’s evil editing and that they were just desperate kids fighting a life or death situation, but I still have so much trouble separating the two.

I didn’t even finish the show. I can’t remember exactly to what point I stopped watching. An episode or two after the second part started?

This is why I… strongly disliked (?) K for a very long time. I could not, for the life of me, get over the DNA unit and how he treated Ni-ki (it was especially bad since Ni-ki was pretty much my bias and I had grown to really love him). So even when &TEAM debuted, I could not look at him the same way (mind you, I didn’t watch &AUDITION at the time either. But I did start to watch it maybe a couple of months ago but then I stopped watching it🙃). But then I did end up giving him a second chance (and it was really strange).

But now finding out what Euijoo did is really messing with me and now I can’t look at HIM the same way😩 And it sucks because I loved him a lot— I LOVE him a lot… idk.

omg yeah :(( tbh riki had much different intentions and voted taki out because he felt like taki could improve first and then come back to iland, and he communicated that perfectly to taki too. so i don't get the riki hate for that reason because everyone had to vote four people out anyways and it's hard to gauge to be faced with something like that right off the bat 🥲 ej's intentions with voting daniel out were .. interesting LMFAOO but it was also a decision they were making as children who just were competing to debut so i guess he was looking out for himself :') sometimes u gotta put yourself first !! tbh the final 12 were all people who were very proactive about putting themselves out there and had the survival show mentality while still being able to bond and not see each other as threats, which is why i do think more trainees needed to be a lot more forward 😔

yeah im glad i watched the show after they debuted too !! mostly because of the voting stuff bc honestly i didn't know the members too well before i watched the show LOL so i was genuinely surprised when k didn't make it since he seemed to be a producer favorite for a while 😵‍💫 but yeah that whole thing between him and riki reeeeally put me off for dna and i think he got even worse for flicker unit :/ he redeemed himself a little later in that episode and from then on but im glad you like k now ! yeah it's probably way different seeing him in a fixed group where he's secure instead of on a survival show where he's fighting to debut 🥲 i think since he was oldest out of the final 12 it felt more bittersweet when he was eliminated 🚶‍♂️

i get why it bothers you !! but im sure for ej's case i don't think any of them took the voting to heart or anything :') daniel was still suuuper happy for ej once he got to go back to iland even though he was sent to ground !! and ej was hugging daniel when he made it into the final 12 so the voting is definitely dramatized to feel worse than it is

So I saw sidney and Hayden are in the caymans with Alex and his fiancé. And it really shouldn’t mean anything to me, but I’m like really jealous. I thought I was over the hurt I felt, but god does seeing them hurt again. Just betrayal, like how could someone I thought was my best friend throw me aside like that for my ex? And why wasn’t I good enough for my ex? They’re traveling and living their best life, and usually I would be happy for them, but I’m kind of jealous. Here I am, in debt and in love with a fucked up situation, and they just seem so happy and care free. I don’t understand why I’m feeling like this, and I fucking hate it. Please let me get over them. It’s times like these I know it won’t make a difference, but I just want to know if she knew how much it hurt me. If she could see that she lost a really good friend. The school has opened many things. Last week's announcements were a success, the complaint box was questionable but the school mandated it, and field day was the most looked forward to event which was finally approved. 

“Okay, with all these rules, there will be different pairings. The school will randomize the students and equalize the number of students from each school in the different groups” I explained. 

“Student council will not be a part of field day, besides the select few who asked for the waiver at the beginning of the week,” Wonyoung said and it was made so student council students didn’t cheat or rig an event. 

“So have your planned assignments ready, i’ll review them when you’re done” Wonyoung announced and they nodded. 

“y/n, do you know if students are banned from events, yet?” EJ asked and I nodded. “These are the files of each school’s banned list, this is because of powers, suspensions, etcetera. If they’d like to waiver it they need to request a meeting with the counselors” I explained and they nodded. 

“If you have any questions please ask an event planner” I said as everyone started leaving or planning. I was gonna leave when I was about to run into Niki… I had to be more careful.

“I wanted to know why my waiver wasn’t approved?” he asked and I sighed.

“Your powers–" "I know, but I really wanted to participate,'' he begged and I sighed seeing how badly he wanted to participate. “I don’t think you can, I'm sorry Niki, '' I apologize. I came to realize he was very athletic and must've looked forward to this. “I just don’t want to be standing around doing nothing” he confessed and I nodded. 

“Do you want to be an instructor? You’d be able to determine who wins and how to do things correctly? I was gonna ask K but if–" "Could I?!” he yelled and soon bowed, apologizing for his outburst. It was cute. 

“Don’t apologize. I’ll write you up for it, okay?” I asked and he nodded happily. 

“Thank you!” he said and I smiled at the energetic boy. He didn’t talk to me often but I knew he was my other soulmate. He didn’t really show skinship with Sooha, I noticed that. She’s mainly ever like that with the oldest ones in their group… and sometimes Jungwon but it got better. 

“Are you sure giving him so much power is okay?” I heard Sunoo. “He’ll be fine,” I said and he chuckled. “Sure… and when he purposely makes his favorites win, it'll be on you, miss president” he teased. 

“Oh yeah? Are you gonna overthrow me?” I asked and he laughed. “Maybe I should,” he said, and before we could say more I heard a gag. “Seriously in public?” I heard and I laughed. “Eunchae?” I asked and she smiled. “Dinner… with the girls, come on,” she said as she dragged me away. 

“Wonnie!!” fun fact… Jungwon and Wonyoung hated each other. Mainly because they share the same nickname. 

“Wonyoung!” Eunchae corrected and Jungwon rolled his eyes. “Take that leech! Your own girlfriend chooses me over you!” she taunted and he glared at the girl.

“Sure Wonyoung” he said in a monotone tired voice and she scoffed. 

“Hmph, let's go!”

niki’s perspective

y/n was always with Jungwon and Sunoo… or with her friends.

I didn’t know how to approach her and recently I've been helping with cheering up Sunghoon… he's slowly becoming a corpse.

But he hasn’t tried gaining her attention, instead leaving the situation alone.

“Niki, take it easy with her! Don’t overwhelm her!” Sunoo scolded Jungwon by his side also.

“Boys!” I heard as I saw Sooha happily yell at us from our regular table. “What happened today?” Heeseung asked. Since he’s vice president he wasn’t in the meeting today since it was mainly to plan.

“Event planning for the sports day. We were going over regulations” Jungwon explained.

“Who should we look out for?” Jay asked and I laughed. We were definitely more competitive so we needed to win for the Decelis

“Well the Riverfield council is gonna be a threat… the humans I have really no idea, but witches play dirty” Sunoo explained.

“Dirty? That’s unfair then!” Sooha said and for a second I realized Sunghoon was still in the same state…

It’s been a week and yet he’s still badly coping… “Witches are granted to use their powers in some of the games, Sooha” Sunoo said. “Ooh! Is y/n playing?!” She asked and I shook my head.

“Why not?” she soon asked me with a pout… she’s been wanting to play with y/n ever since sports day was announced.

“Her powers aren’t suitable to be playing, because of her specializing in blood magic, being around vampires isn’t a good idea” I explained and she nodded.

“She’ll be watching only,” Jungwon said and I soon felt Sunoo judging me. “Oh and I’m not allowed to play” I said and they looked at me confused.

“What!? I thought y/n was gonna get it fixed for you!” Jay said and I shook my head.

“I can’t play since it’ll be unfair with my powers but I’ll be an instructor!” I said proudly and they didn’t look happy…

“So you’re gonna cheat?” Heeseung asked and I punched him.

“I would never!” 

“I want to join the student council!” I heard and honestly, I was shocked… “W-what?” Jungwon stuttered and she smiled softly. “Well… Wonyoung told me recently that I can’t be in the  meetings since I'm not a student–""Why is it any of her business?” Jake said annoyed at the mention of a witch.

Recently… especially with Sunghoon getting rejected, he has been very annoyed with Bright Sun… “Huh… Well, she’s right. Besides, I see this as getting y/n to be friends–""Sooha, let it go already. She’s a bitch to you, she rejected Sunghoon… just stop wanting to be friends with her” Jake said and I saw Jungwon glare at our hyung…

“Jake… shut up!” Sunoo said and he scoffed.

“Why should I? You really can’t see how rude she is? To Sooha… and look at Sunghoon!” Jake argued and he only shook his head… “She has every reason to hate us… she didn’t accept Jungwon at first either” Sunghoon defended and Jake scoffed.

“Jake stop–” “Not you too Heeseung” he interrupted and the oldest sighed… he couldn’t have a say in it… but I had a bad feeling about how Jake was acting.

Everything was better before the merge, before meeting y/n, before meeting Riverfrield… y/n wasn’t Sooha, she was my soulmate but Sooha would always be more to me than the little witch would.

I walked with no destination… So why was I here?

“Oh… hello?” she said and I felt annoyed at seeing her. “Stay away from Sooha” I warned and she looked shocked but shrugged. “You should tell her that,” she said indifferently and I scoffed. 

“What are you trying to say? You are nothing but mean to her!” I yelled and she looked confused… “I’ve never once been mean to her! I have every right to but I don’t” she said and I laughed. 

“It's not my fault hyung loves her more than you, that I do her more than you,” I said and I saw her flinch a little until scoffing.  

“Gonna pull a Heeseung and reject me too?” she asked and I got closer… I grabbed the collar of her uniform tightly as I made sure to look her in the eyes. 

I felt the tingles you would at touching your soulmate… but I wouldn’t let that blind me. 

“I’m rejecting you… you’re nothing but a servant of nature. And if you don’t stay away from Sooha or the rest of us will make your life a living hell” I said and her face contorted with fear… it was better this way… so why did I smell burning?

“y/n!” I heard as I let her go and I saw one of her roommates… I then looked back at y/n who was on the floor now shuffling away from me… I saw the burnt clothes and even some of her skin? 

Did I lose control again?

y/n was on the floor… she was crying and whimpering, burns hurt. I know that's because I’ve accidentally done it to people like I did with her. 

“y/n are you–” “No… stay over there” she said and I saw Niki’s face fall, like he was heartbroken. I was frozen. I heard sobs and coaxing words… I couldn’t stop looking at my hands. 

I was suddenly grabbed and taken away. I then felt something hit me in the face. 

“You’re dead”

i used to not ship rina (embarassing, i know), so this is my essay on how season three has completely shifted my idea of them, and why i think that the wait until season three may be worth it if they play their cards right — which it seems like they are so far.

let’s start with season one. i feel like most of ricky and gina’s relationship was something you could brush off as something that the viewer could only think of as a plot device to make nini jealous, but that ultimately you knew or felt would never go anywhere. i would say they were meant to be only that at first and then, maybe, the writers changed their minds for season two when they saw fans liked the ship, but i can’t. no, because we know that scene with ricky and gina talking after the show, the “i wouldn’t give up on us” talk, was filmed when season one was filmed. do i think the writers were rooting for rina to be endgame all along? meh, not really, but they definitely had plans for them, that’s for sure.

why didn’t i ship rina at the time? simple, ricky and nini were cute back then. i genuinely liked them. sue me. the rini confession scene at the end of season one is still fucking amazing in my opinion, and there is no denying ricky loved nini, while i believe he only liked gina. i don’t think he necessarily even thought he liked her, i think he thought it was all very much platonic because, come on, he was so focused on nini that entire season. gina, though? she loved him. so it was somewhat unrequited, i guess, although i do not think ricky didn’t have feelings at all.

onto season two, ricky and nini are a fucking mess. they are not good for each other, for as much as i love them both, with ricky hating change and nini’s entire life changing so much in such a small period of time, as well as their individual struggles clashing, the long distance mess, and lily’s bafoonery in the middle. we could smell the breakup coming from miles away. that scene was really sad, honestly, but it was something i knew had to happen. right person, wrong time trope, if i may. on the other hand, portwell was thriving, and i honestly saw that coming from season one. i really didn’t think rini would break up back then, though, so the lingering question of “who will ricky end up with?” stayed around, and was somewhat answered by lily, though i wasn’t super happy about it. nonetheless, god knows i love season two portwell so much.

by the end of the series, gina is with ej, while nini and ricky have broken up. nini is on her little lesbian self discovery journey, good for her, and i could see her not being with anyone, especially considering olivia rodrigo has become increasingly more busy which has significantly affected how much screentime she has gotten in the series (and things point very much to my baby nini salrobs to eventually be erased fully, sadly, but good for liv honestly). but then what about ricky?

clearly the lily stuff was a misdirect, because onto season three, she barely appeared. and thank god. portwell are still thriving, then ricky shows up. and though i didn’t ship them up until then, things quickly shifted. yes, because the build up is what makes rina, rina. be honest, would you love the ship as much if they had become canon after season one? if you think the answer is yes, did you love rini in season one and ended up not liking them as much afterwards? did the same happen in season two with portwell? yes? that’s what i thought. and honestly, there is no shame in that, because that happened to me too.

i think what is so good about rina is that, unlike all the other hsmtmts ships, it’s taking its sweet fuckin’ time. and honestly? i will eat it the fuck up. it’s cool, it’s realistic, and it’s engaging. it’s cooler because i didn’t expect it to go anywhere at first, because they just looked like yet another plot device to create drama between the main ship, and then here we are, with ricky being canonly jealous over gina and ej in the last episode. rina is made of small hints even now that it’s (hopefully) on its way to become canon, it’s made of moments that come around the main story, it isn’t the main focus like rini was, and it’s beautiful. you don’t feel forced to ship it nor like it when watching it, it comes naturally with time, whether earlier on or later on, because the puzzle pieces come together and you don’t even realize how much you like them together until one moment it kind of just hits you.

nothing feels exaggerated or forced, things just naturally fall into place with them. honestly, i doubt the writers did it on purpose, because if so then why not do the same with the other ships, but kudos to them nonetheless because i can’t help but love this pair. i just hope they don’t do me wrong somehow in the rest of the show.

I had already planned on making this post after watching 3.04, and even received a message about it (LOL, cuz us PWs share 1 collective brain cell😂), so here's a quick (long) Portwell analysis! Plenty of gifs ahead, so read under the cut.

A moment that caught me really off guard was the following:

I'm not surprised EJ suggested a song that would allow Gina to shine after Corbin said they have to film something. But Gina's reaction to EJ even saying the word "love" was so genuine and full of excitement and giddiness. In the 3rd gif, she's so elated at the possibility of EJ saying he loves her (someday) that she clenches her hands to contain herself. Then she tries not to get too ahead of herself and claims she "didn't hate" hearing him say it. It feels very similar to her 2.09 talking head when she admits things have "changed a little" between her and EJ. Obviously, things definitely change for them by the S2 finale. So this was just an interesting parallel to me... it also seems like more foreshadowing of Portwell falling in love/love confession someday. They are also playing background music in the moment above that I don’t believe we’ve ever heard before. I could be wrong, so if anyone knows for sure, let me know! But it sounds like new music to me. It sounds like a guitar instrumental, with a romantic and hopeful feel. It starts the moment Gina smiles in the 1st gif, then ends the moment she stops smiling in the 4th. The music kinda encapsulates how Gina feels at that exact moment. 

Another moment that stood out to me was EJ and Gina at the beginning of “Love is an Open Door,” prior to the dream sequence when they're in-costume. EJ is clearly uncomfortable being thrown into the role of an actor again b/c he’s been so focused w/ being the director. He says he’s “a little rusty as an actor” before Gina nudges him w/ her shoulder and gives him encouraging words (”pretend it’s you and me frolicking across a field”). I think EJ does exactly what she says b/c the song eventually leads to a dream sequence, w/ EJ and Gina frolicking around the camp lmfaooo. I interpreted the part of the music video with EJ and Gina in-costume as Hans and Anna as EJ’s imagination, if he were to play that role in the musical. 

The part I wanna talk about is the very beginning of “LIAOD,” before the dream sequence, where you can clearly tell EJ is incredibly nervous and sings rigidly at first (not gifed but just look it up hehe). He can’t even look up as he sings “I love crazy” and seems extra expressive when he sings “I was thinking the same thing” (also not gifed. Sorry.) BUT the moment he starts to act/sing more genuinely is during the following lines:              

Living in his father’s shadow for all his life, this line really relates to EJ’s experience b/c he’s been trying to live up to Cash’s expectations of him (perfect son, athlete, actor, etc) while also trying to “find his place” in the world. Gina nods along as EJ sings this bit b/c she understands (as both someone who has also been searching for her own place/home, but also as someone who knows about EJ’s life, considering their 2.08 couch scene. He said his “entire life had been mapped out for him” (2.08) and Gina shook her head at the time b/c she couldn’t relate. But in the gif above, she nods her head in agreement b/c she gets him now, even if her experience differs.) 

The first time Portwell make eye contact (meaningfully!) during the song is this moment: 

Gina looks over at EJ while she sings “with you” and he does the same. He sings “I found my place” while looking at her b/c Gina helped him on this journey of self-discovery. Her words to him in the 2.08 couch convo gave him the strength to stand up to his dad about the whole Duke situation. Gina sings “I see your face” with another nudge in the shoulder (totes paralleling the shoulder nudge in 2.10!) b/c she really does see EJ for who he truly is. She even said it in 2.08 ("I see someone who tries really hard to do the right thing. He fails a lot. But he keeps on trying.") When they sing these lines, they’re not portraying Anna and Hans. They are just Gina and EJ, 100% themselves. 

Right before the dream sequence part of the song, we get this moment:       

Gina turns to EJ and offers him her hands. With more confidence than before, EJ happily takes them and Gina gives a reassuring squeeze. She’s silently telling him “we got this!” thru her body language b/c from this point on, they have one another’s full, undivided attention. They’re not just performing for Corbin and his documentary crew, EJ and Gina are singing to each other from this point on.  (I also just love the fact that Gina’s wearing a cute red dress and a heart locket. AND THEY’RE SINGING A LOVE SONG.) 

One last thing that I love about “LIAOD” are these scenes:    

EJ pushes Gina on the swing. Gina pushes EJ on the swing. EJ spin dips Gina. Gina spin dips EJ. Sure, he can be the macho leading man/hero, and she could be the damsel in distress, but that's not who they really are all the time. They are very much so reversing typical gender constructs in the most subtle of ways! And I absolutely love it! I just love how often Portwell are shown to be a team, and they've always got each other's backs. If she falls, he'll catch her. If he falls, she'll catch him. It's an equal partnership through and through. (It also takes a lot of trust to fall into someone's arms like that, and they both clearly trust the other to catch them!) AND just thought of this, but having Gina be the one to spin dip EJ further highlights her role as Anna as the heroine of the story. There's certainly no toxic masculinity on EJ's part because he's more than happy to have his girlfriend catch/spin dip him on national television, especially if it means highlighting what a star she is. AGHHHHH I LOVE THEM.

I’ve done some cody headcanons before, but theyre really old so heres new ones. also this ask was sent SO LONG AGO AND IM SO SORRY LOL

💉Cody Rogers💉

-Don’t let his hardcore, mean facade fool you. Cody is always longing for affection and companionship, but he puts up barriers and blocks it out when it’s offered to him. His adoptive father thinking he was a monster and rejecting his interests really messed him up, so he’s slow to trust now. 

-He’s a solitary creature of his own creation. And while he’ll struggle to admit it, he craves intimacy and connection so bad. 

-Personally I like to think that him and Toby are twins separated at birth. I also think he changed his name back to Rogers after moving into the manor. He’s really happy to have a family again.

-They have absolutely no idea why they were separated. Toby joked once that Cody was so ugly out the womb that they got rid of him. Cody just punched him and pointed out that they have the exact same face.

-They're completely identical except for eye color. Cody's eyes are green, while Toby's are brown. 

-Cody has noticed that Toby has a difficult time looking him in the eye, but seemingly doesn’t have the same problem with anyone else. It’s only after he sees a picture of her that he realizes its because his eyes are the same color as Lyra’s. 

-Toby tells him a lot about Lyra. It makes him sad to think about, that he had a sister he never got to meet. He daydreams sometimes about how their lives would be different if they’d been raised together. Maybe life wouldn’t suck so bad if they’d had each other.

-Also mad that he never got a chance to sock it to their piece of shit father before Toby killed him. He would've liked to smack the fucker with his bat for hurting his siblings. Too late now, though, and he's at least content that the man got what was coming to him.

-Aside from his brother, I think he gets along best with EJ in the mansion. They bond over mad science and crimes against humanity. 

-He likes Jane too, and while they aren’t super close, he’s had some pleasant conversations with her. Jane mainly likes him because he’s one of the only people in this manor capable of being civil. And because he annoys the shit out of Jeff and she’s all for that. 

-Cody can’t stand Jeff. Ben wouldn’t be so bad either if he didn’t get roped into Jeff’s shit so much. Cody mainly hates him because Jeff is an asshole who doesn’t really care about other people or their feelings. He doesn’t care much for bullies. Jeff also has a bad habit of picking on Toby specifically, which pretty much immediately lands him on Cody’s shit list. 

-As for Masky and Hoodie... He doesn’t really know what to make of those two, honestly. Both proxies are close with Toby, the three of them having a strong brotherly bond. It makes him feel like an outsider, which only makes Masky or Hoodie’s attempts to get close to him feel fake- like they’re only doing it because of his brother. 

-Which... isn’t entirely wrong. At least at first. Masky and Hoodie first assume that because they’re twins that they’ll be really similar. They’re a bit shocked to then find that Cody is practically his twin’s opposite. Neither of them really know how to interact with him because of that. 

-Needless to say, Cody keeps his distance. 

-Masky and Hoodie try to get Cody involved but he just doesn’t seem interested. Toby is the only person that can convince Cody to hang out or participate with the others, but even then it’s a 50-50 chance. 

-Even when he is convinced to engage in group activities he doesn’t usually stick around very long. His social battery drains fast and he hits a point where he needs to be alone for a while. 

-Because of his loner nature he usually gets sent on missions by himself, rather than with a group, which he doesn’t mind at all. 

-Cody keeps to himself and is pretty quiet. He’s also smart and sensible, which makes him an instant favorite of Slender’s. However this just makes it easier for him to fuck with people because he hides all his mischief behind that innocent face. 

-Constantly torturing Jeff and the best part is no one can ever prove it’s him. Everyone knows of course, but they can’t prove it. 

-Him and Toby fight a lot. Not like disagreement fighting- no, they actually get along really well. Like fist-fighting. They’ll be totally fine one minute and the next they’re just decking each other. Toby always wins though cause Cody’s kinda weak and Toby does a lot more physical training than he does. It’s all in good fun though :o)

-They're both actually really protective of each other. Cody defends Toby from Jeff or whoever else tries to mess with him and Toby defends Cody from anyone who tries to get him riled up (jeff). They're like two guard dogs guarding each other.

-In a weird way, fighting his brother is a good way for Cody to release pent up anger and aggression because Toby can't feel it. Boy has pent up anger issues like you wouldn't believe. He tries to keep himself calm but it's really easy to set him off.

-He’s the type that’s usually really quiet but every once in a while he murmurs some insanely hilarious quip that just destroys everyone. 

-He has a bunch of piercings and he did them all himself. He also has a stick and poke, but its just a little operator symbol on his bicep. He would do more but he doesn’t really know what to give himself. Refuses to give Toby a tattoo no matter how much the other begs. Ever since Toby found out he has a tattoo and that he did it himself he hasn’t heard the end of it.

-Outside of his own bedroom, he spends a lot of time in the manor’s library. Him and EJ will sit at the same table and read for hours and not say a single word to one another. They love it. 

-Always finds a way to make himself scarce when the pastas have any kind of game night. He has horrible luck and he absolutely sucks at any and every type of game, from monopoly to mario kart. He refuses to be humiliated. 

-He’s actually really sweet when he starts to open up. He’s really observant, which means he’s really thoughtful when he wants to be. 

-I feel like he stares into the middle distance a lot. Like “are you guys seeing this shit?” kind of staring, like he’s looking into a camera. Or that ben affleck meme.
