“Buckley!”

Buck looks past Hen to see Hot Firefighter Diaz approaching him, no longer in his turnouts, and the dude looks pissed. Hen moves away as Buck gets to his feet, wanting to be on an even playing field for whatever is about to go down.

“What the hell was that?!” Diaz barks at him, coming to stand close enough that Buck can see the simmering rage in his beautiful big brown eyes.

Buck raises an eyebrow at the question. “What was what?”

“That stupid stunt you pulled back there! Not only did you run off without clearance and with no backup, but you switched your radio off and ignored a direct order. You could’ve gotten that kid killed!”

Buck huffs out a laugh and flashes him a cocky smirk, “In case you missed it, I saved the kid.”

“We have a chain of command for a reason.” Diaz gets right up in his face and wow, his eyes are even more beautiful up close. “You can endanger yourself as much as you want if you’ve got a death wish, but you don’t get to put your team or the people we are trying to save on the line.” Then he’s turning on his heels and storming away.

And look, Buck will be pissed off about it later, how Diaz thought he could just walk up to Buck and spit him out like that, but right now he’s got a perfect view of Diaz’s ass as he walks away and his upper brain immediately stops working because fuck, what an ass. Buck really wants to get his hands on it and squeeze. Too bad the guy it’s attached to is a bit of a dick.

A BIT OF INFO ABOUT THE BOOK + UPLOADING:

it's currently tuesday the 2nd for me, and i'm giving proofreading a week so next week on tuesday next week all proofreaders must be finished reading and giving me any edits or anything. I'm gonna take the rest of that week to make the changes and any last minute edits, and the first chapter will be up on my wattpad on Saturday the 13th!

time zones are fucked up and confusing so i'm just gonna say that chapters will always be published at 1:00pm AEST (Melbourne, Australia), so if you want to go look up what time that is for you then go ahead because for all I know yall could be like 8 years in the future or smth idk (jk i'm not that dumb)

Schedule time!! This is my last 3-stream week for the foreseeable future. I'll be swapping to once a week for various REASONS that I will explain... soon. I'm currently aiming for Mondays at 10.30 am my time (right now it's aedt, but soon to swap to aest, which shifts me an hour backwards... I think), though if I find I can start any earlier I'll make that shift. I'll include more time zones when I post next week's (very brief) schedule.       Thomas is thankfully spared from being forced to watch as Lucie steps in between her brother and Matthew and gently cups Thomas’s face in her hands. Her eyes are swimming with tears, rimmed in the same shade of red as the runes on their clothes.       ‘Focus, Thomas,’ she whispers. ‘You don’t have to look. Alright? Focus on me, if it helps.’       Barely anyone thinks about or even considers the bond Thomas and Lucie have, not when Lucie has James for a brother and Cordelia as her future parabatai, and when Thomas and Christopher were joined at the hip. Not quite cousins, many assume they’re amicable with each other at most, or family only by association or because their parents are related to one another in this-and-that way.       They can’t be further from the truth. Lucie and Thomas are so much more than that. Lucie is the younger sister Thomas never had, the outspoken, mischievous and confident counterpart to his reserved, sensible and bashful self. Thomas is the one who keeps Lucie’s chaotic ideas in check—where James, Matthew and Uncle Will would only indulge her—and Lucie the one who helps bring Thomas out of his shell at parties and social gatherings, where he would have otherwise stayed in the most convenient corner.       He knows her, and she him, and he’s grateful for her in this moment as he lets go of Alastair’s and Anna’s hands, wraps his fingers around Lucie’s slender wrists, and looks directly into eyes the colour of a clear summer sky.       ‘It’s not fair,’ he states under his breath, his voice so soft only Lucie should be able to hear it. ‘Luce, how is this fair? Why him? Why Kit?’       Lucie’s expression crumbles, and a sob of her own wracks her tiny frame.

How To Watch Chiefs Rugby Vs. Blues Super Rugby Final

Blues will host Chiefs at Eden Park in Auckland for the grand final of the Super Rugby Pacific season, one that started all the way back in February. Strangely enough, it hasn’t been that long since the two New Zealand squads played each other. In fact, it was only a few weeks ago in a June 1 fixture at Eden Park.

Blues won that matchup overwhelmingly, 31-17. Blue have won the last four meetings against Chiefs at Eden Park, a trend the Hamilton will try to buck, especially after gashing season-leaders Hurricanes, 31-19, in the semifinals last week.

The Blues will play the Chiefs early on June 22, at 3:00am EDT on FloRugby.

Electric Fields in Sweden for first Eurovision rehearsals

Australian duo Electric Fields have brought our first didgeridoo to the Eurovision stage, as rehearsals start in Malmö before the contest next week.

The South Australia musicians Electric Fields are our first duo at the Eurovision Song Contest.

Vocalist Zaachariaha Fielding and keyboard player and producer Michael Ross have performed together as Electric Fields since 2015.

The pair have arrived in Sweden and shared photos of their first rehearsals on the Eurovision stage before they compete in the first semi-final next Wednesday.

The song Electric Fields have taken to Sweden is called One Mikali, which loosely translates to One Blood. The song features the Indigenous language Yankunytjatjara, in a first for Eurovision.

Zaachariaha Fielding is a First Nations artist from Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Lands, a.k.a the APY Lands of South Australia.

In 2019, Electric Fields almost represented us at Eurovision after competing at the first Australia Decides selection show on the Gold Coast.

They just missed out with their song 2000 and Whatever, finishing runner-up to Kate Miller-Heidke.

AFL Grand Final guide and Watch AFL Live Stream Overseas

There is no telling how long it will take to watch the game from start to finish.

After downing Geelong by 54 points at the MCG, Melbourne will attempt to break the longest ongoing AFL premiership drought, which has lasted since 1964.

The Swans will look to defend their 2017 Premiership against the Western Bulldogs, who stunned Port Adelaide in a replay of the 1954 Grand Final, hoping to repeat their 2016 heroics by winning the title outside of the top four.

WHEN IS THE GRAND FINAL?

The 2021 AFL Grand Final will be held on Saturday September 25 at Perth's Optus Stadium, beginning at 7:15 p.m. AEST (5:15 p.m. AWST).

The first AFL Grand Final to be played in Western Australia will take place on Sunday, 24 April at Optus Stadium in Perth. It will be the second time a Grand Final has been held outside of Victoria, after 2020's title decider was held at The Gabba in Brisbane.

On Friday, September 24, Victoria will still have a Grand Final public holiday, the day before the game is played.

HOW CAN I WATCH THE AFL GRAND FINAL?

The 2021 AFL Grand Final will be broadcast on Seven and 7Plus, with Kayo enabling you to watch it after the event.

Fox Footy will broadcast live pre-game, half-time, and post-game coverage with comprehensive analysis from the best team in the business.

ok so just playing my game without the pressure of creating content for my queue has caused another burst of creative energy similar to when I started my Miss Hell story, and I’m officially excited about this storyline again~ 😁 I’m gonna take another day to play through a little more of it, and story posts will resume on Saturday night/Sunday morning AEST (I think I’ve converted to PDT correctly above but I was wrong last time so 🤷‍♀️ stupid daylight savings)

I’ve been doing things a little differently! I’ve decided to start using dialogue on my images rather than writing my story under the photosets. It might take a little while to get used to but I’m liking the change so far! I’ve taken inspiration from the way I’ve seen other people using dialogue on images, using different colours of text for different characters - hopefully it won’t be too difficult to follow.

By order of appearance:

1. The Narrator

The Narrator is a nameless, omniscient observer. Whether or not they are good or evil, human or monster, mortal or celestial remains entirely up to you. Why do they care so much about the guidelines? Why do they watch the students? What is their purpose? Why do they resent the Headmaster so much? Are they controlling the story or simply recounting the events?

We may never find out.

2. Logan Berry

Logan is a demisexual (trans) male with a fear of failure. Originally from Seattle, he now teaches at Florida - that is, until his parents decide that his obsession with his own failures needed to be addressed.

As a child prodigy, Logan’s parents happily allowed him to extend himself. He began university at the age of 17 and completed his teaching degree, then promptly moved from Seattle to Florida. While he insists it’s because Florida had more job opportunities, it’s really because of his strained relationship with his parents. They’re supportive, but not very sensitive. 

Now 23, he suffers from the immense stress he puts himself under with his heavy workload, which resulted in him passing out and gaining a fever on a family holiday. He feels like he constantly has to prove himself to his job, his parents and maybe even himself.

The thought of failure is too much for him to bear, so he has cut “distractions” from his life. Without friends for two decades, he’s become closed off and clinical. 

However, a certain college theater actor may just change that through the power of friendship and maybe even love - ahem, close friendship.

3. Patton Adde

Patton is pansexual, male, 22-years-old and the sweetest person you’ll ever meet. He speaks fondly of his sister and is keen to finish the course so he can go back to looking after her, even though she was the one who insisted he went. 

While Patton’s family wasn’t exactly rich, his parents financially supported him as he worked through his apprenticeship at 18. However, a house fire the year after resulted in the deaths of both his parents, leaving him to take care of his teenage sister (19 as of the beginning of the podcast). 

This responsibility has caused him to wisen up and value each moment spent with people but has left him terrified of fire and ovens. He took time off from his apprenticeship to work through this fear, yet nothing has been effective so far. With another person to support, he’ll do anything to get over it, even if that means ignoring the peculiarity of the school.

His brotherly instincts may come in handy in getting the lonesome Virgil to open up.

4. Roman Lucanus

Gay and proud Roman always thought he would thrive at university before making it big in Vegas, but after failing high school, he’s forced to attend the same community college as his twin brother. He’s been in a bit of a block for the three years since.

As an identical twin, Roman has always prided himself on being different and standing out, though that’s hard to do when your brother is as absurd as Remus. Roman has adopted a brave face and a massive ego in an attempt to distance himself from his twin, but when he gets on stage all he feels is terror.

Roman grew up poor and dreams of a big break, but with his stage fright standing in the way of that and his brother’s shadow looming over him, he’ll never get anywhere.

His personality is quite similar to Logan’s, so the two butt heads a lot. Their arguing may eventually lead to a friendship as they learn that they have a lot more in common than they think.

5. Virgil Sanders

Although Virgil is afraid of many things, they’re the most sarcastic, rebellious and angry twenty-something-year-old you’ve ever met, and no, Roman, they are not a vampire. Probably.

Having been raised by Mr Sanders surrounded by creatures in the dark their entire life, their perception of the outside world has been heavily skewed. They fear things many people would consider normal, such as: sunlight, people, tight spaces.

They still believe their birth parents are out there somewhere and they desperately want to search for them. Virgil has a phone, freedom and has planned to run away their entire life, but has never worked up the courage.

They’re a very bitter individual, as for the first decade or so of their life, Mr Sanders kept the mysteries of the mansion hidden and whenever Virgil questioned him, their voice was stripped from them.

Though Virgil initially distances themselves away from the newcomers as much as possible, their knowledge of the outside world is what draws them in. 

Will Patton, Logan and Roman give Virgil the courage to free, or will they remain here succumbing to the shadows?

6. Mr Sanders

Little is known about the Headmaster. The newcomers know his last name is Sanders, he’s at least 30, he has researched and consulted several professionals in order to develop the most effective course he can for his child, and that he’s human.

Of course, that last point is wildly inaccurate, but they don’t know that.

Mr Sanders took Virgil in when they were really young - too young to remember their birth parents. By shielding Virgil from the monsters and horrors in the castle, he assumed he was doing a good thing, completely unaware of the damage done to their psyche.

Now, he knows better. He knows Virgil resents him and he knows there’s nothing he can do to fix that, so he’s trying his hardest to do one last good thing for them before they leave the mansion for good - getting rid of their fears.

7. Emile Picani

Dr Picani graduated from Stanford University and has been offering his services for almost a decade, yet this is by far the strangest set of patients he has ever encountered. 

He’s well aware that something isn’t right about the school, but the sum of money Mr Sanders offered him makes him forget about that, for the most part. Plus, he has ample room to hang up his posters - even if a certain student keeps trying to steal the Disney ones.

However, when he finally gets Virgil to open up, he realises that he can’t ignore the glaring problems with the school any longer. Even if it means investigating his employer.

born  on  may  the  fourth  of  1996 ,  jughead  jones  is  the  firstborn  son  of  fp  and  gladys  jones ,  notorious  southside  serpents .  they’re  not  wealthy   --- -   this  is  made  evident  when  jughead  is  born ,  not  in  a  hospital ,  but  in  the  back  of  a  beat - up  car  that  neither  of  his  parents  technically  own .  they  weren’t  planning  on  having  kids ,  but  fate  is  a  funny  motherfucker ,  and  so  it  goes .  fp  claims  naming  rights ,  and  that’s  how  forsythe  pendleton  jones  iii  is  brought  into  the  world ,  kicking  and  screaming  and  making  too  much  of  a  fuss .  some  things  never  change .

he  doesn’t  stay  an  only  child  for  long .  forsythia  parthenia  jones  (  again ,  naming  habits  are  likely  crack - induced  and  entirely  unfortunate  in  nature  )  is  born  in  august  of  2000 .  she’s  got  health  issues  from  the  beginning  but  the  minute  a  near - 5  year  old  jughead  jones  lays  eyes  on  his  younger  sister ,  he’s  besotted .  even  at  such  a  tender  age ,  he  feels  a  genuine  drive  to  protect  the  wailing  little  ball  that’s  pressed  flush  against  mother’s  flesh .

childhood  is  an  interesting  adventure ,  spent  shuttling  between  the  north  side ,  the  south  side ,  hospitals  --- -   rinse ,  repeat .  it’s  a  strange  existence ,  but  he  doesn’t  mind  it .  he  shows  a  proclivity  for  reading  early  on   ;   whether  it’s  nature  or  nurture  is  anyone’s  guess ,  but  sticking  your  nose  in  a  book  is  the  most  convenient  method  of  escapism  one  could  imagine .  he  takes  a  liking  to  truman  capote  after  picking  it  up  during  a  hospital  visit ,  finds  himself  lost  in  the  magic  of  breakfast  at  tiffany’s .  it’s  around  this  time  that  he  starts  wondering  if  he  could  write  books  like  this ,  if  he  could  do  something  to  this  effect .  

he  was  a  socially  awkward  kid  for  the  most  part   --- -   distant ,  not  always  as  present  as  you’d  like ,  perpetual  pre - pubescent  loner  with  a  head  permanently  affixed  in  the  clouds .  doesn’t  help  that  a  generally  scruffy ,  unkempt  appearance  doesn’t  quite  gel  with  the  neurotically  gift - wrapped ,  glossy ,  picture - perfect  image  of  a  classroom  that  was  presented  in  riverdale  primary  school   ;   he  scared  the  other  kids ,  unnerved  them  with  a  quick  mouth  and  a  dreamy  look  in  the  eye  alike .  he  didn’t  mind  not  having  many  friends ,  it  was  just  something  he  got  used  to   --- -   naturally ,  though ,  this  changes  when  archie  andrews  and  betty  cooper  enter  the  picture .  the  world  is  forever  changed   ;   the  world  turned  upside  down .

it’s  a  strange  front  they  present:  perky  girl - next - door  betty  cooper ,  golden  boy  archie  andrews ,  and   --- -   and  what   ?   what  glimmering  adjectives  does  he  preface  himself  with   ?   what  praise  befits  the  ugly  duckling  in  a  trio’s  worth  of  cherubs   ?   he  doesn’t  know ,  therefore  he  doesn’t  bother .  there’s  a  conflict  that  rages ,  a  lack  of  understanding  as  to  where  he  fits  into  the  picture  and  well  into  his  adolescence ,  he  genuinely  believed  that  betty  and  archie  only  entertain  his  presence  as  a  joke ,  something  to  laugh  about  later  on  in  the  piece .  they  reassure  him  it’s  not ,  but  suspicion  lingers  regardless .

that  fateful  fourth  of  july  changes  so  much  for  jughead .  his  plans  for  that  particular  summer  included  movie  marathons  with  jellybean ,  a  few  joints  smoked  in  the  bathroom ,  a  foray  into  writing  his  first  play   --- -   but  in  the  blink  of  an  eye ,  his  childhood  best  friends  are  dragging  him  into  a  murder  investigation  that  makes  his  stomach  turn  and  his  trust  in  a  town  that  once  seemed  so  wholesome  evaporate  almost  overnight .  sixteen  is  too  young  to  feel  the  reverberations  of  such  a  horror ,  and  they  leave  irreparable  scars  on  good  ol’  jug .  little  does  the  poor  shit  know ,  though ,  that  it’s  about  to  get  worse .

hal  cooper ,  disguised  as  ‘  the  black  hood  ’  ,  goes  on  a  killing  spree  and  wipes  out  some  of  riverdale’s  most  beloved .  his  attempt  on  fred  andrews  is  enough  to  make  jughead  want  to  pack  his  bags ,  heft  a  protesting  jb  into  the  back  of  an  ancient  car  he’s  saved  up  for ,  and  run  as  far  as  he  can .  the  events  of  2013  only  further  reiterated  that  jughead  actually  wanted  nothing  to  do  with  any  of  this  bullshit .  when  the  black  hood’s  identity  was  revealed ,  he  cut  off  a  blossoming  relationship  with  betty  right  there  and  then  and  hasn’t  even  DARED  to  entertain  the  idea  of  rekindling  it  since .  

at  the  same  time ,  the  serpents  and  ghoulies  are  dragging  his  family  into  a  turf  war  and  honestly ,  he’s  so  sick  of  this  shit .  he  entertained  the  possibility  of  a  serpent  alliance  once ,  flirted  with  the  idea  but  watching  the  war  unravel  has  only  pushed  him  further  away .  he  spends  more  time  on  the  north  side  than  he  does  at  home ,  and  there’s  a  good  reason  for  that .  he  loves  his  family  immensely ,  don’t  get  him  wrong ,  but  their  pseudo - gang  bullshit  just  isn’t  for  him .  subsequently ,  jughead’s  never  had  any  kind  of  serious  involvement  with  the  southside  serpents  besides  familial  ties .  he  wants  nothing  to  do  with  them .

so   --- -   to  summarise  all  that  mess ,  jughead’s  kind  of  realised  that  this  shit  is  FUCKED .  he’s  still  reeling  from  jason  blossom’s  murder ,  still  processing  how  hal  fucking  killed  all  those  people ,  and  he’s  trying  to  sever  himself  from  warring  gangs .  keep  in  mind ,  kid’s  fucking  eighteen  at  this  point .  he’s  a  dumb  bitch ,  let’s  not  make  any  mistake  about  that ,  but  he’s  a  dumb  bitch  who  hasn’t  dealt  with  the  trauma  he  experienced  as  a  teenager .

so  anyways   !!!   let’s  skip  to  present - day  jughead ,  because  this  is  my  favourite  bit .  currently ,  he  works  as  a  freelance  photojournalist  who  writes  on  the  side .  he’s  written  articles  for  nyt  and  a  few  papers  upstate ,  and  they’re  his  crowning  achievements .  he’s  written  a  few  little  novellas  here  and  there  which  are  in  the  editing  stage   --- -   he  doesn’t  think  that  any  of  them  are  that  good ,  and  isn’t  really  counting  on  getting  them  published .  instead ,  he’s  focusing  on  a  novel  right  now  (  and  no ,  he  didn’t  steal  the  idea  from  a  fucking  tumblr  post  so  stop  asking  ) .

he’s  ditched  the  beanie ,  ditched  that  at  about  eighteen  because  he  realised  how  fucking  weird  it  was  (  sans  that  ...  whole  speech  ) .  his  hair  and  scalp  have  breathed  since ,  and  they’re  loving  a  bit  of  oxygen .

he  still  eats  like  a  mf .  bitch  can  cram  so  much  food  in  there .  he  can  eat  even  more  when  he’s  stoned ,  which  is  usually  at  2  am  on  a  saturday  morning .

he’s  got  his  own  little  place  on  the  north  side  now ,  a  little  two - bedroom  apartment  that  he  shares  with  jellybean .  they  don’t  have  much ,  never  really  have  but  they’ve  got  each  other ,  a  selection  of  streaming  services  and  vintage  dvds ,  cheap  liquor  and  all  the  time  in  the  world .  that’s  all  they  need .
