what happened?

short ver: my twitter art acc fucked up mental health so nuked it, i am rebranding and it will be 18+ but i'm unsure about this acc's future (either soft block minors or move to a new acc). new vibes will drop when i feel better. also new fursonas yipee yay

idk if anyone noticed that my twitter is...basically gone now. like gone gone and i'd feel bad about not telling why it's deactivated.

basically it's been a mental burden to me lately. even though i'm not happy with the yarasa2k alias, the twitter account just hit me like a dodgeball of depression every time i logged in, it was especially bad there. and i had this bad habit of feeling like a content creator instead of an artist because i'd notice my post would flop hard if i took breaks and my sweet time, which is BAD for the mindset let's say considering i only managed to get 1300 followers across almost 6 years wow, that's a lot of people for sure but what's the point if i feel like only 10-15 people are seeing it. i want to take my sweet time, draw something i'd actually get inspired by, look at the drawing and go "whoa i want to make this a poster" i want to give y'all a juicy piece which leads me to another point.

i...don't want to appeal to children. i know my style is on the cuter side with bright colors and squishy faces but i am an adult and i want to talk about mature shit god damn it. that doesn't mean i'm gonna be a pron artist or whatever but i don't want to limit myself, i want to throw a hot woman or two occasionally idfk, i swear a lot so that should say smth LMAO. i want to not nuke this acc for archiving reasons (twitter sucks at that so i didn't mind nuking that one) and i can make this acc either retired or soft block every minor oomfie i have idk yet, would love some suggestions.

i am going through rebranding where i made brand new fursonas without any "fusing the past 2 fursonas" bs, two to be specific. so far i love drawing them considering i now take my time in pieces i can't wait to introduce yall but i am still on the mental break where i just take a breather and draw whatever i want. once i feel better i will come back with a brand new twitter acc. i won't change usernames til that account is born so you won't know :P my other ocs will stay for now theyre neat. maybe i'll do the projects i've been slacking on since they take a while to make (like a 3d model or an animation). i post them in friend discord servers rn :3

- Currently reading: ...i mean mostly just renheng fanfic but uhhh. i did read where the crawdads sing from delia owens (just plucked it out from the bookshelf randomly bc i was bored) a month or so back. it was neat but no like particular strong feelings abt it. it was very well written and i liked the flow of the prose a lot. also waiting for crooked kingdom to get a finnish translation bc i got six of crows in finnish and i dont do book series as mixed language sets generally. (also the translation work itself was just like an absolute fucking banger with the imagery and metaphors used like chef kiss)

- Currently watching: no particular show (last thing was when i rewatched fmab a couple months ago) going on but like. random video essays or informative stuff on yt honestly and its mostly for bg noise.

- Current favorite character: gee i wonder. dan heng (past editions included), blade, (big gap here bc i tunnel vision on characters), bailu, luocha, jing yuan i think for specific ones from hsr for now. am looking out for jingliu and fu xuan too i need to study them. in genshin its like. yeah its mr childe ajax tartaglia all the way but i kinda just havent been feeling it for the game much so eh. tighnari, kazuha up there too n arlecchino obvi.

its ok despite all my essays n angst i actually enjoy fluff/comfort the most so have some amongst some toast (i think thats what tubbo said his ghost vers would be?? idk but it is cute) hcs KDNSK

bc alive tubbo has such a difficult time with it i think toast would be bad at dealing with the whole "im a separate person from the alive version of me" deal, it takes a while for him to stop but he does because its painful to refer to himself as tommys best friend or ranboos husband or michaels father and just have that deepset regret when someone has a beat of silence and toast has to go "..or i used to be, i guess, haha"

he starts having fun with it, though. makes his own name for himself, does things he maybe wouldnt have done while alive. experiments with being a ghost, looks more into limbo and the afterlife and what even causes the separation. he doesnt drown himself in it, not truly bound to expectations like alive tubbo was. still works anyways, because he wants to, because tommy deserves his best friend back and ranboo deserves his husband and michael deserves his father. he isnt quiet when he firmly says that the true main reason is because tubbo deserves to be alive and happy and experience his life as himself, and that above all hes doing this because he deserves to find a way for them both to exist, to be happy and their own people and loved by themselves no matter who else loves them.

theres a connection established eventually. if we're to take rp/mc rules here, only one can really be around at a time, toast has to be off while tubbo is on and such. they make it work. if we're to take complete creative liberty, they coexist peacefully, even if awkwardly

tommy learns to be quieter for tubbo, holds a torch for them both whenever they walk in the dark, holds tubbos sleeve when tubbo cant see because he doesnt want tubbo to wander blindly but knows tubbo wouldnt want to be touched and risk reacting harshly to stimulation with touch too. ranboo helps him get used to stimulation again, lets his particles be soft glowing lights for tubbo to contast the bright fireworks, makes him earmuffs for when things are just too loud but tubbo doesnt want to block everything out completely. michaels already quiet, but foolish and his kids help set up fairylights in michaels room and michael makes blanket forts so tubbo can touch the ceiling of them as he lies down and he can exit at any time

its hard, sometimes. but tubbo makes it through, even in the times where others arent around to help. maybe limbo broke him for a bit there, but tubbos good at building, he can build himself back up -🎭🎪 (oh also tubbo being surrounded with soft things in general. the empty endless sky isnt great for keeping warmth, but fluffy blankets and big fur lined coats are)

okay the two i usually always go to are kabhi kushi kabhi gham (k3g) and yeh jawaani hai dewaani (yjhd)! k3g is rather old but it’s definitely filed away under classics. yjhd ... was ahead of its time. it was rather popular but i don’t think it’s overrated one bit tbh. idk i just love it it made me feel a lot of things 

as for other movies i enjoyed/watched in no order at all -

naur 😩 I just read Eurydice and it’s so soo good!! I’m in distress, I was so into it I didn’t realize it was coming to an end. I only knew the story vaguely so you can imagine when I read the end of your story I went hysteric trying to find out why people think he turned, and most seem to think it’s because of lack of patience or distrust. But if you don’t mind me asking what’s your interpretation? why did he turn around? why would she ask him to turn around ? at least in your story what was the reasoning? maybe it’s right in my face and I just missed it, maybe I’m just bad at interpreting symbolism.. idk. But I really absolutely loved it so much!! I can’t wait to read your other works! Thank you for writing 💖

oh my goshhhh thank YOU for leaving me this I’m so speechless rn. as for the interpretation of why orpheus turned,, I don’t honestly have a solid theory when it pertains to the actual myth but I recommend you look at the interpretation from portrait of a lady on fire and from hadestown because those two were some of my inspirations for the fic

(im gonna call the characters of my fic eurydice and orpheus bcs I have two vers of the fic posted but pls read it as whichever version you read and note that the reader character in the fic is gender neutral,,, I’m only calling them eurydice and orpheus here for my own ease okay moving on)

I do wanna start with saying that this explanation is just how I interpret my own story. you’re not bad at reading symbolism or missing anything anon ! Orpheus’s reasoning for turning around was purposefully left vague, and the reason for that is I wanted readers to make their own assumptions and interpretations ,,, idk I just think a story is more fun when it’s left up to your imagination. So that being said if you or anyone else reads my explanation and thinks it’s lame or it’s not what you want, feel free to ignore it. seriously! the ending of the story and the driving force behind the choices that the characters make are ultimately up to YOU

and now for my interpretation: so it’s hinted that eurydice died very suddenly, so I imaginee that in my story orpheus going down to the underworld was mainly done out of shock. he seems like a pretty cool-headed dude, I think if he gave his grief and shock more time to settle he would not have gone to be honest. but on the flipside, it’s almost like he felt this obligation to go. and what I mean by that is like he knew he could find a way to get eurydice out of death so he HAD to at least try. also in the flashback of their first meeting eurydice says something along the lines of ‘if I die before getting to center circle I’ll walk all the way back from hell’ . so its also sort of like orpheus was keeping eurydice to that word and actually giving them a chance to walk back.

and that line about walking back from hell was very purposeful! eurydice really cared about their dream of getting to center cicle when they were alive. before eurydice met orpheus, they would have been jumping at the chance to make this walk back to the real world, jumping at the chance to come back to life and achieve their dream. but as eurydice says later: ‘dreams change’ . after meeting oprheus, eurydice’s priorities changed. eurydice’s life had more meaning and purpose to it than just longing after a life in center circle, and orpheus was the reason for that change in thinking.

so the way I see it when Orpheus found eurydice in the underworld, eurydice only agreed to make the walk back as a way to say goodbye. like this entire walk was never gonna end with eurydice coming back to life. its only real purpose was to give these two a little bit more time to make peace with eurydice’s death and to say good bye

//so, we’ve been back home for a bit but had to eat and blah and i got mom into bed after a very long, v stressful day. i’m gonna ramble on angrily under the cut for those who wanna read, otherwise quick summary. mom’s not really been helped, we gotta make sure to bring her in if her hands gets any more numb and she will have to stay there until ...well, idk. a while. i’m dead tired and just doodling around making icons while watching markiplier. i had to reschedule teaching to tomorrow, thursday is regular and then friday is class. im defs gonna try getting some sleep tonight for once. 

so, mom is v stubborn and doesn’t usually go see doctors. we all know now where i got that from lol, tho for me it’s mostly the fear of interacting with humans lol. so we got her to the doc today but they wouldn’t see her bc it was crowded and so they sent her off to the hospital bc she can’t wait until the 15th when their next open maybe-appointment is. she has been in pain since november and constant pain since new year. my mom is a fckn iceblock when it comes to pain usually, so for her to be unable to think due to pain ... i really don’t wanna imagine how bad it really is. her hand started going numb yday, which is the main reason she agreed to get help finally. 

we got to the hospital she used to feel safe in and promptly got her opinion changed. nurse lady was so, so horrible. she basically subtly called mom out for going there when she didn’t “just fall today” and made her out to be like a hypochondriac when she was basically crying in front of the lady in pain. i kept her on her feet but (and mom usually is like.. she’s got a bigger mouth than any other person on the world with excessive self esteem lol) she was so out of it after the lady spat at her the way she did, she barely got any words out, she forgot to mention her allergies and lady also didn’t even check if mom was taking any meds before offering all kinds of pain meds. like wtf. she then sent us back to the waiting room with the warning that we would have to wait very, very long bc mom isn’t really sick ofc. >_< 

so we waited for almost 6h, then finally got in. doc was young and v cold at first, which didn’t go over well with mom bc she almost collapsed on the floor after sitting for so long and i had to fckn carry her into the room. there were nurses and staff all around who saw her and nobody gave a fckn shit a potential patient clawed her way along the wall towards the room at the end of the corridor. ugh. anyway, he didn’t introduce himself or anything at first but i think he noticed how bad mom was doing and he softened up a little. still kinda cold but ... less so. he did a few tests and blah. so he’s p sure  one or more of the ver...tebral discs uhhh well, between neck and shoulder did a thing. her worst pain (it starts between shoulder blade and spine basically and vibrates/throbs into her fingers) is located a bit too ...high or low, but he still thinks so. he did some slapping on her neck lol and she like: i mean.... you’re hitting me so yea it hurts. XD 

anyway, he wants her to get an mri asap, but it’s not bad enough for them to do anything about it other than give her different pain meds. she’s using v strong ones (they dun help but attack the stomach) so he’s given her 2 days worth of strong ibu (you only get a dose of 400mg here, stronger is a doc thing) but given that doc won’t see her until like .. the end of next week if lucky... great day, really. if her hand gets any number and she can’t grip anything anymore, we gotta bring her in immediately. *sigh* i just want the pain to stop for her. she’s so done i can see it but there’s nothing i can do. she wants to rest tomorrow bc she’s v unstable emotionally rn and today like, finished her off, but i’m gonna gently poke for her to call anyway and maybe poke my student’s mom about seeing if mom’s ordinary doc (blood pressure etc) can get her the papers for an mri despite another doc having to look at them later on. student’s mom works at our doc’s place.

my humble DMUMT review

STRAP IN AND STRAP ON LADIES, DMUMT IS A FUN RIDE!

y’all can blame Natalie for this - not under a read more bc idk how to put one in on mobile sldfhasdhf RIP. I’ve only listened through the album once, so here are my first impressions:

OVERALL I love how cohesive this album’s sound is - it took a style we know Exo does well, and that we love, refined it, and gave us a delicious sample platter! One thing that I will give The War and Ex’Act over DMUMT though, is that those past albums were more experimental. Throughout DMUMT, I found myself wishing that the producers had let Exo push the envelope juuuuust a little more, to really get into that weird territory (think Shinee, but more industrial). I think SM is a little reluctant to let Exo get Weird™ because it IS a risk, but........they should just do it. WE’RE STILL HERE AFTER WOLF, AREN’T WE??

Tempo: okay, miss tempo is much more fun and light-hearted than we were lead to believe!! i guess you can say that......I CANT BELIEVE (im so sorry). But yes, Tempo is so so fun and I haven’t watched the live performance from the showcase yet, but it’s a perfect title song to show off Exo as well-rounded performers (rap line killed it, vocal line killed it, everyone is amazing). ALSO, that a capella breakdown????? that was “if I ever fall in love again” by shai vibes!!!!!! fricking fantastic my dudes

Sign: transformer’s demure, sexy sister! this is a note that’ll be repeated in literally every song review, but Jongin’s voice!!! is so beautiful!!!! I also really like him and Minseok singing together, I realized that I don’t hear it often, but you can parse out their voices in the chorus and it’s a nice blend! something that I’m constantly impressed with is how tight Exo keeps their harmonies, even with 9 people! (yes, I know that this album has 8 voices except for the chinese ver of Tempo sdhfsdh let me live)

Ooh La La La: smooth af!! very very catchy chorus, more tight harmonies, I love the addition of the acoustic guitar!!!!! I’m always a sucker for vocalizing on top of rap. and I will say it again: JONGIN’S VOICE!!!!!!!!!!!! The verse that he starts off has real 90s/early 2000s boyband vibes (but more 112 than backstreet boys, yknow?)

Gravity: I listened to this in my car on the way to lab, and I shit you not, within the first 8 count I yelled to myself: “OH SHE’S A FUNKY BITCH!” and indeed she is. I also think i caught that little video game-style riff from Power in the beginning? Nice my dude. At this point, Gravity is one of my top favorites - the retro 80′s-esque sound really does it for me. Rap line SNAPPED in this song, I really want them to promote this!! Oh another reason that I’m realizing I like it so much is that it reminds me of Infinite’s older bangers (Hysterie, Be Mine, etc etc) With You: Your standard mid-tempo song - if DMUMT were a video game, With You would be that pleasant town you come across that’s convenient for grinding, but also has a lot of fun little side-quests for you to complete before moving onto the main storyline. A very chill aside, weirdly reminds me of “Sex You” by Bando Jones???? I think it’s the deep bass beats lol

24/7: The chorus is VERY catchy, and I love the production on this one. I feel like this song wouldn’t have been out of place on Ex’Act. We’re still in side-quest town territory with this one, but it’s definitely more memorable than With You.

Bad Dream: Okay, so this is the sound that I’ve always wished El Dorado had based on the teaser audio! Mature, house-y, synthy goodness. And yes.......JONGIN’S VOICE!!! (I want to note that everyone sounds amazing in every song, but as a Jongin stan, I was pleasantly surprised to hear him so clearly!)

Damage: An ass-shaking anthem if I’ve ever heard one. Let Out The Beast who?? Do It Together who????????? I only know miss Damage and mister Kim Kai’s VOCAL RUN. Thanks king.

Smile On My Face: Okay I have an implicit negative bias against non-Shinee ballads, bc they usually don’t do it for me, but I actually like this song!! It’s nothing novel, but the harmonies are lovely and the production is minimal, so it’s a very pleasant listen.

Oasis: It’s so interesting to me that they put this last - it calls back to Going Crazy as The War’s closer, to have kind of a darker, more serious sound versus something uplifting or bop-y. I do love the sound of this one though, I think that it isn’t something that they’ve quite attempted before (it’s surprisingly very indie!) and they executed it well!

I haven’t looked up any lyric translations, or watched any of the live performances, but God DAMN Tempo and Ooh La La La better have amazing choreography to make up for the lack of Yixing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (i really do miss his voice in the mix TT TT )

yes! i have a pretty high pain tolerance but i’d say it’s around a 6(? but a 3-4 for me), also don’t look at the needle while it happens cuz then that just hurts more 😀. it’ll probs take 2 weeks to recover mostly because i’m still coming back for session 2 so that the artist (my brother) can do some touch ups, we weren’t able to finish because of time reasons and also my skin swelled fast.

it’s just so funny tho because we have such short attention spans, we ended up having more talking time than tattooing time cuz my brother would stop everytime we start a conversation (+ i’m indecisive with the designs that i want).

overall: i was shocked to see that bighit had included STUDIO CLIPS of their rehearsal because

if you remember from my earlier analysis post, i wasn’t very impressed w jungkook’s dancing. giving the audience more chances to see him helps me paint a fuller image of his abilities. i can say confidently that w/o his awful costume (it hid all his movements), he is putting energy/nuances into his steps. having multiple rehearsal clips also tells me that jk just had a bad run during the broadcasted performance~

i was also happy to see hoseok’s facials !! finally!!!!! now i’m able to pick apart some smaller rehearsal –> performance differences

0:50 - 1:21 - hoseok’s eyes are glued to the mirror even when he’s moving his neck/chin/torso. this is bc he’s watching himself n self-correcting. you can compare this to the way he moves his head and eyes across the audience during the performance instead. every cool to pick up on ~~

0:26 - hobi’s arms?his legs ?the fluidity of his torso’s movement (folding, twisting, bending) like fucking water! bitch !!!

0:29 - he’s the only one who’s on his leg (aka on balance) while still moving through his entire chest and torso to complete the required circular movement

0:53 - his left hand …. a BLADE. IT’S A FUCKING SPATULA. I COULD COOK MY FOOD W IT. and i don’t like it lol

1:03 - 1:17 - he cleaned up the footwork more for the performance and had way more energy. he was lower in his legs (they were more bent) and his weight was back, his arms were moving Extra lots, and it was super high powered !

technically, hoseok does everything right in that section. he hits the beats, he executes the choreography, but THIS is the important part that sets a good dancer apart from a great dancer. he’s focused on cleaning the steps and correcting mistakes, but once he’s onstage he’s able to let loose and just go ALL IN. he doesn’t hold back, even when it’ll tire him out faster

his eyes are tracking himself in the mirror, but later they follow the natural movement of the head. there’s connection between his dancing and the people who are watching.

additionally, he’s able to dance more full out during the performance because he was faster, lighter, harder, deeper, really giving his 500% (facials AND choreography-wise). you can see he stepped it up when he got onstage…a clean difference between rehearsal and live presentation !!! he pushed himself to do more than the basic actions. wow. a king.

1:54 - you can see he adds an extra jerk of his upper body when he’s diving low. the reason i’m pointing this out now instead of the stage tech clip later is because we can see he’s working on consistency. this tells me that move was intentional, and he was definitely working on incorporating it into his dancing

2:53 - his arms are my favorite. they’re fluid and he has such nice lines after he rolls thru them .. hands too

3:05 - i wish hoseok used this resistance more in his dancing. he opts for looser movement, which is nothing bad, but sometimes i wish his versatility extended to playing around w slow --> fast movements, similar to jimin’s style

3:24 - i love his arms there, again. so fluid. it looks like hes pulling them along w the rest of his motions

3:30 - this lil bitch really needs to stop sticking his arm between his legs and then dragging his hand up his crotch oh my god take a shot whenever hobi does this in the video and die of alcohol poisoning

3:31 - he’s marking (not dancing full-out) everything, but his shoulders are just nut after nut AFTER NUT. they’re the precursor to the stuff he’s able to pull off later, and it’s so interesting to see these things !!!!! there’s a lot i can learn about bts and their dancing this way

0:18 - uhhh the way he pulses? so controlled. so easy. tons of resistance but no tension in anything other than where his movements should be isolated

0:25 - he’s got pretty pretty ballet hands :(( i love

0:28 - he’s shuffling around a lot on his standing leg. he needs to find a place to put his weight (he’s shifting between heel and toes right now) in order to make the pivot look cleaner

0:57 - 1:07 - u can tell he hasn’t finished polishing this combo yet bc there are faster transitions that look rushed. compare him to hobi, who looks at ease and relaxed for the whole eight count. jimin’s feet aren’t moving on the music, his arms aren’t able to go full out yet, and it looks Messy like he can’t quite get his head around everything

2:30 - 2:39 - this is one of the reasons i love watching rehearsals, especially given the luxury for footage of MULTIPLE. here, we can see that jimin is now more familiar with the choreography and his able to dance with full arms and even more head movements. whether this is the next day or an arbitrary amount of time later, it’s clear that he got his head around the choreo during the time that passed between clips

3:14 - uhhhh FOOT!WORK!

3:18 - this jump is executed really nicely. he gets enough air time and the front leg gives enough force to push him both up and backwards (so on a diagonal). i just wish he balanced out the step by lifting his back leg up more bc it looks like it’s dragging on the ground afterwards

3:18 - 3:21 - this is it....this is the Killing Moment. the end of all ends. the most beautiful moment of life. i have seen god and she has returned to earth w a group of angels singing in four octaves with heavenly instruments playing as she descends upon earth 2 bless me w jimin’s control his power his passion and energy and SNAP and how hard he hits while managing to isolate parts of his movement im 

3:36 - idk how he manages to snap every single one of these steps. even jungkook and hobi aren’t able to do it the way he does ghghghghhgk

0:00 - 0:08 - already, i’m able to see that jungkook IS moving his body a lot, even if he’s just marking the combo. i said this earlier, but this assures me that it was 100% his costume that was the problem, and not his actual dancing that made his performance underwhelming

0:05 - i don’t know if it’s the set choreo or what, but i don’t like the fact that he extended his left arm parallel to the floor and kept it there. while having a straight arm (compared to the floor) is favorable in other parts of the combo, it breaks the line of his body here. u can see this by comparing his chin/head to his arm. the “line” of his torso isn’t connected all the way thru. it’s broken, so therefore looks less appealing

he also doesn’t move anything except his head here, and i don’t like that. it looks very stiff

0:11 - he is SUPER fluid here, and in a good way. it’s controlled, but also loose. there isn’t anything floppy about his movements, and it flows well through the entire length of his arms & he even makes a note to travel up to his shoulders 

0:22 - i like the way he leans his weight forward. it’s very nonchalant, but also held/looks “dancer-like”

0:24 - the way he leans his weight back is just.....yum

0:28 - i actually like his ver of that leg-lift-pivot (???) thing the most, even though he’s not doing it full-out. it gives him more control and makes the step look very clean, so if i was their teacher, i would’ve made the change to what he did since i’d rather see something clean than messy and challenging. it just looks nicer and more put together

0:49 - SO MANY THINGS WE MISSED BC OF HIS BAD COSTUMING !!!!!! he rolls through his limbs and even snaps into resistance !!!!!  + his Active Fingers at the end of the step . Serve it to me, Bitch

0:55 - 1:05 - while he doesn’t have as much energy as hoseok, i still prefer his interpretation over jimin here. jimin’s too stiff and lacks the fluidity required to make this combo look good

here, i’m going to say that jungkook knows the choreography better than jimin as well. make of that what u will, there’s nothing i can really say about that except point it out lol

1:13 - OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH MY GOD there is SO MUCH FLEXION HAPPENING W HIS TORSO HE’S BENDING AND STRETCHING AND GOING IN ALL THESE DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS AND HOPPING BACK AND FORTH A TINY BIT this is what i missed onstage and i am so glad that i was able to see him perform this, even if it was in rehearsal

2:54 - definitely did not get to see him move through this much of his body during the home party stage. very happie to witness it now. the line of his arm and his hands are also really nice at the end (when he extends them)

3:29 - loose but also held Enough that it makes it my favorite interp of the choreo out of the three

3:31 - he’s just marking, but he has really nice shoulders here

3:24 - his hands .. when he’s flicking them back and forth all i can say is that more than my eyes are crying right now :)))))

general comments

what i noticed with hoseok is he has trouble matching his hands. the shape of them are usually not the same, and the angle of his arms (when he bends at the elbow) don’t match. this is something i’d like him to fix, unless it’s an intentional decision

he also smiles a lot when he’s dancing; it’s cute to see! you can tell he’s working hard (the way the other members are working hard too), but he’s also having fun n enjoying himself. marks of a tru dancer: loves what he does even tho it’s challenging.

jimin’s so cute when he’s singing the song to their combos :(( also he has SUPREME underwear and idont know how to feel about that lmao

i’ve always been curious about wearing street or formal shoes during performances, and bc of that it was Revealing to see jimin testing out the floor. dancers usually scuff the bottom of their shoes against the marely to check how slippery it is (0:45 / 4:50 / 5:00)

jungkook seems very serious or very silly. there’s no in between, and it find it endearing. he’s hyper focused to the point where he doesn’t engage in facials, but this is a bad habit that he’s kept onstage. while the “sexy and angry” vibe can work for some dances, there are ones where it’s not the case & he needs to learn the difference or work on this problem of his

it was nice to see them wearing actual dance clothing to check for projected motion

i also learned from this rehearsal that bts tends not to learn dances off the counts. they sing the actual song isntead of counting the beats....hoseok always starts out with “five six seven eight” but then doesn’t continue? lmao it’s cute, but it’s not the most helpful, especially if they’re trying to match up together. it seems that mr. son, their dance teacher, does count the music, which is probably why they’re able to clean bts’ pieces so well for performances

overall, i was happy to see them release a rehearsal video to watch the way that bts works. it’s not the same as being in the studio with them, but it gave me a lot of insight to what they’re doing during practice

((((me talking about how underappreciated these three are at 4am, where grammar doesnt exist and spelling is dumb. this is entirely my opinion but im pretty sure almost everyone can agree)))) being an army is hard. like, it's really fucking hard. you get to wake up in the morning and cry over seven men who still get hyped over receiving pokemon stuffies as prizes. that life is hard and it's probably where the rock bottom is, but whatever. being an army is harder when there's inequality going on around the group, screentime wise, line distribution wise, etc. this issue existed since 21 b.c.e and im here to finally speak my fucking mind for it. so bts has seven members, right? jungkook, jimin, jhope, suga, jin, tae, and namjoon. anyway, we all know that jikook are the main and lead vocalists of the group so it's very predictable that they get a lot of attention considering it's unavoidable to give them screentime since, you know, they're technically 50% of whatever the hell we're on about, whether it's about a song's line distribution or an mv's screentime. now, obviously there are the three rappers who dominate everything, be it an mv or whatnot. i mean, jesus, joonie walks in with this hard presence and he's literally gonna start owning the video. thats it. so we get that jikook is well known and very appreciated, right? suga and joon are also automatically given attention becsuse these two are powerful when it comes to rap. now, let's just focus on hoseok, tae and jin. let's start with our angel hobi. now, hope is definitely not underrated. we all know that his stage presence is very powerful. he's never not involved. however, the reason why i didn't group him with his fellow rappers is because, let's be real, jhope is not a rapper. he is not a rapper. he is a person who raps. according to jackson wang—tnx jackson tnx got7 woohoo—there's a complete difference between these two and i think u got it already. jhope is not underappreciated, his skills are. first of all, he came into the idol world with dancing the only skill in hand. we all know that he's never an amateur. he's always been a pro at dancing however when you're in a group u cant just fucking dance. you need to use your lips too and hope here has no experience on that. if bighit made him debut as a part of the vocal line, it could've been better as we all know that hobi has always dreamt of becoming a singer even as a child and his high note on the thot ver of n.o is enough to say that he may not be as good as jungkook but he's gr8 at it too. howeverrrrrrr he's not put as a vocalist. he's placed in the fucking rap line. no, im not saying he's bad as a rapper because he's not (ehem outro wings ehem). but if u place yourself in his shoes back when he became a trainee for most likely dancing and rapping, thats hard shit. hobi has no experience in rapping. but guess what? he fucking killed it. he slays every rap he gets. he spits fire in every cypher there is and yall telling me that he's not good? hell no go home in conclusion, for the fuckers who keep disregarding jung hoseok's abilities, back up because golden hyung can sing, dance and rap and i s2g if you still sleep on him ill choke u next is v. kim taehyung kim **that introduction still kills me every time** now before anything else, tae is not underrated. he's very popular actually. he's popular to armys and to his fellow idols as well. i assume this is because he has gr8 looks and he's very friendly and what a precious child amirite so why did i group him here? becAUSE BIGHIT THATS WHY. now, bighit is not a bad company. in fact it's a great company, really considerate to their boys all. i mean the most we can say is that at least it's not sm bc you feel me? ye anyway, the funny thing is everyone thinks that v is in an ok position because he's pretty and everyone loves him. YES tae is beautiful and YES hes lovable but we need to realize that to be recognized for your looks is ridiculous when they do it while ignoring your talent. taehyung is well known already but people also need to know his skill too. this is almost the same as hobi's story. let's get back to the trainee days in which taehyung literally came from a middle class fam and signed up for bighit without having a clue on what he could do. remember that he was inexperienced when it came to dancing, singing, and obviously rapping (but let's let him live for a little). his pretty face has always been pretty, but u cant debut without offering anything else can you? however, as inexperienced as he was, taehyung has talent. he had potential that is now proven talent. so what i dont really understand is why they didnt give this child the position to be a lead vocalist or even a main vocalist, much more fair distributed lines. the old eras—the hardcore gang bad boy wannabes concept—actually stars v a lot—ehem war of hormone, spine breaker, boy in luv, danger ehem—because they used his hard and deep ass voice. but ever since run era came, bc i believe thats where bts dropped the hard look, he barely got lines. i understand that his voice is different compared to others as the other four vocalists—including jh now bc he finally debuted as a vocal—are tenor whereas v has baritone however they can actually use his deep ass voice in great use. like in let me know—tnx min yoongi for this amazing song—, hold me tight, spring day, house of cards, love is not over and more of their ballads, it's shown how talented kim taehyung is because of his capability. not to mention, stigma proved that his voice can reach great ranges too and that goddamn falsetto stjll gets me everytime i havent even started on how sharp his moves are but i think everyone has gotten over that little issue that he should be a part of the dance line so in conclusion, taehyung is a precious beagle who's very talented and amazing that needs to be more appreciated for what he can do rather than just for his face bc nO lastly, sockjin hahahaha now when i became an army he caught my eye a lot bc of fire and he has an astonishing face. jin is a very beautiful person and just like tae, he's almost friends with everyone however, if someone is underrated, jin is your guy. now lets give this guy some slacks because he came into this world without knowing what he can do, just like v. he came without having no experience in dancing nor singing. he has passion for acting apparently but we'll get to that l8r. anyway what he could only offer is how beautiful he looks. now, first of all. let's all be honest that jin is not the best singer in the group. however he's not bad either. in fact, when i watched their mr removed, he's more stable than jimin and v and to sing with that much stability is impressive enough. i assume that jin doesnt hold on to talent but his potential is so great it's so large and it can actually drive him further. jin is always appreciated for how strong he is as a visual but never for how stable and smooth his voice is and that is absolutely rubbish. remember that he's a person who entered this world without any experience and yet here he is, breaking records on billboards and shit, and you're still sleeping on him? the thing is, bts is popular enough but jin isnt, bts is known but jin isnt and as someone who stans every member, this hurts. bts isnt just rm or jungkook. i have nothing against those two, but i present u kim seokjin here. he's full of potential. he can shine so bright if only there's an actual opportunity waiting for him. the reason why he isnt appreciated is because the company doesnt really give him much chance to show what he can do. yes admittedly he's not the best singer there is but how can someone improve when they dont give him the opportunity to improve? i dont need to give an example on w/c song has barely jin because lbr almost every song has barely jin. in addition, jin is a visual and yet his screentime is so little. i know that i shouldnt give a shit on the visual thing but if this guy isnt recognized for his position in singing, why wont u recognize him as a visual either? i understand that there are a lot of mvs that actually show him a lot—bst, boy in luv, spring day—but do u think this is enough? do u think that this is fair to him? jin is a 25 year old man. he's not naive. although he laughs it off whenever he's being ridiculed, I'm sure that he somewhat feels sad sometimes because of this. understand that this man is not just here for entertainment. understand that we cant only appreciate him for his jokes and awkwardness, that he's not just here to make us happy through the stunts they pull to give comedy. understand that he's not just the mom of this group. understand that he's probably gone through so much training to improve himself and yet get so little in return. understand that there's more to kim seokjin than what meets the eye. jin is not bias nor my bias wrecker but i have this special affection for him that makes me want to protect him at all cost. for the last part, the acting thing. now, im very happy for v for debuting as an actor because he slayed being hansung in hwarang. i will never say that he doesnt deserve that because he does. hes amazing at acting and i hope he get more solo projects since the drama. meanwhile, i look forward to jin having his own drama. i dont think it's necessary for him to have one now but hopefully it happens soon. jin has great potential in acting and considering this is his former dream, im sure that theres still passion for it somehow. in conclusion there is more to jin that we haven't seen because of the lack of opportunity given to him and he deserves so much more recognition to whar he gets now. this doesnt mean that im bias to anyone, okay? i adore each seven members equally. i dont want to raise v and bring down jungkook or raise jin and bring down jimin. no. whatever jikook gets at this moment, they deserve every bit of it. all i want is for them to get equal love. ////end
