Regulus isn’t quite sure how he didn’t accept the fact that he liked James sooner, just watching him chat to a five year old and carry the child around on his back made his heart clench and his eyes widen with admiration.

He watched as James beamed his blinding smile up at the child, while Sirius sat on the bench next to James, smiling a goofy grin every time the child looked down at him.

He’d proudly and eagerly accept anything James would offer to him at the end of the day, a smile? He’d crumble. The sweet caress of his hands on a pale cheek? He’d ask for it again. Like he said, anything that James could give him seemed to be coated in gold, so irresistible and seemed to attract Regulus closer and closer every minute and plaguing his feelings with laughs and tingles that made him want to scream in the best way possible.

It’s like he kept a small area of his mind cornered off, reserved for anything James Potter. The smile that he wanted to consume, the eyes that he wanted gaze into, the soft pink lips that he wanted to kiss as they folded up into a smile. Even the way the muscles on his arm moved when he reached to touch Regulus’ hair, the way his soft fingers felt as the pinched his cheek, the way that he shirt fit so perfectly, Regulus wanted to rip it off.

He’s so pathetic, he hates it. But does he really?

i’m gonna cry it’s raining right now and i just passed by a family where both parents were without an umbrella but their kid who couldn’t have been older than like 3-4 was proudly holding this GIANT umbrella whose diameter was as tall (if not taller) as the kid. both the parents were getting absolutely drenched but u could tell the kid was just so happy to have an “adult” task and carry the umbrella themselves and i think that sacrifice is what love is all about

have realized that while i am not a fan necessarily of "people meet and immediately fall in love" i am a fan of "people meet and are immediately obsessed with each other." the love can come later but the absolute fixation should be immediate

Occasionally I picture Nightwing calling Red Hood "little wing" in front of others and people looking between this huge, 6'0 feet tall man with growing white hair, and then Nightwing, a shorter man who has flawless skin, probably around his 20's, and a fit but not too buff build and they just- don't know what's happening. Is it some kind of inside joke they aren't aware of? Why is Nightwing acting as if he's years older than Red-fucking jacked-Hood?

Nightwing: Little wing, you actually were decent in that fight! I'm impressed.

Hero, who was helping during this fight as well, listening in to the conversation: little...?

Red Hood: Wow, feeling very appreciated right now. Got any other backhanded compliments in there?

Hero: Wait, excuse me-

Nightwing: As a matter of fact-
