🎭 How similar are you and the muse?

i'd say we're similar enough that i can relate to a lot of yuri's actions! we both tend to stray toward sarcasm, teasing, and easygoing 'tudes in regular conversation, but still get clocked as mature and collected enough to be relied on... from what i'm told, at least; i share a lot of his stubborn opinions, too (unfortunate emphasis on stubborn).

i'm usually a lot more expressive, though! and i wouldn't say i'm anywhere near as impassive or "rude" lol. i care way too much about the impression i give off comparatively.

⌨ What’s a situation you’ve always wanted to RP with the muse?

anything related to his vigilantism! whether that means a situation where he feels compelled to do it again, going head-to-head with someone over ideological differences, or even just for once -- ONCE! -- opening up about the ways it's impacted him. the game has deep conversations regarding his friends' acceptance, but since it's often centered around the person he's speaking to, his own feelings are usually put on the back-burner in favor of their struggles coming to terms with it. the deflection's intentional on yuri's part, but i wanna write that vulnerability so bad!!!

i mean, he still visits the scenes of his crimes post-game, so... definitely not over it!

😒 Is there anything canon about your muse that you ignore?

this one line in the japanese version of The First Strike™ where he says "i don't swing that way" to piss off a shitty bar patron. dude's lying!!! (i interpret that scene as him being a cheeky bastard, but i wouldn't be surprised if anyone took it seriously).

📑 Favorite part of your muse’s backstory?

everything surrounding his swordsmanship! the childhood prequel novels expand on it so much and it reveals a lot about his personality, too. from using every piece of saved-up gald to help flynn buy his old sword back and asking him to be his teacher, learning how to read and write just so he could understand a training handbook, developing his own fighting style + the way axes played a role in that... there's so much i can't even begin to go into since it plays such a large role in his backstory -- and the lower quarter's -- but it's really good, i swear.

👀 Favorite thing about the muse’s appearance?

ALL OF IT…? jk, i know his hair's the expected cop-out answer, but it's one of his most prominent features-- from a character-building standpoint and a visual one (just look at the wide array of 'dos he's gotten in official art). i often imagine him sporting different styles in each thread, too, even if i can't represent that in my icons.

other than that, i'm obsessed with his (semi-)canonical ear piercing and the frequent inclusion of simple jewelry in his merch and other special event outfits!

💕 Favorite ship for the muse?

canon-wise, i'm a flynn/yuri 4 lyfer, i fear. aside from them being the embodiment of everything i find endearing in a ship, i really enjoy the complexity of their relationship; the history, convictions, and weight behind their feelings toward one another makes the dynamic something deeper than simple friends, partners, or enemies. plus, hitting them with the "ex ex-boyfriends" label is funny ig.

rp-wise… *smacks head* this bad boy can fit so much daiquiri in it (yur'khol, dari, mowell, loshantu, etc.). what can i say? he's got a thing for confident, sunshine-y guys who can kick his ass!! major bonus points if he feels like flinging them into the sun every now and then. they're cutely annoying and annoyingly cute together...

pokemon stadium japan introduction & THE TEAM pt 1

THE POKEMON STADIUM (JAPAN) LV1-30 TEAM!!!!!!!

after some time of teasing this here is the formal introduction to the team. as i've said the japanese pokemon cartridges i own are red and silver, this is relevant as it's how i was able to trade for alakazam

for a little more preamble, let's talk a little more about pokemon stadium japan. basically, the game has two major cups, one at level 30 and the other at level 50-55. there are 40 available pokemon in the game. basically one day i theorycrafted the team and eventually i made that. so my entire playthrough of both red and silver were intentionally leading up to this moment

THE TEAM

for the sake of this being for pokemon stadium here's the team in pokemon stadium japan (only notable color fuckness is with exeggutor sadly)

and now on pocket monsters red (as seen in the ingame pokemon stadium japan emulator)

one very important thing to note is that these names have two meanings - one is that i literally chose the names solely to differentiate between them at a glance by making them memorably connected to the pokemon in question. they don't intentionally have names so much as symbolism reflecting what they are. but anyway this is all in japanese kana and to disrespect the language slightly less let's figure out what their names are after you transliterate them

PIKACHU (i dont even think i renamed it idk) it's literally just here because apparently if you beat master ball in LV 1-30 you get to teach the pikachu surf if it's in your team

STARMIE name meaning: it's supposed to kinda resemble a starmie, with points on either end and a bezel thing with the eye inside. actual name: re-e-wa-e-re, Rewaere my impression: kinda like 'Rareware' if you squint

ALAKAZAM name meaning: it's literally just the first thing i saw five times bc it kinda looked like alakazam's big moustached face actual name: ho-ho-ho-ho-ho, Hohohohoho my impression: the sniler

EXEGGUTOR

name meaning: it's supposed to be four eggs sitting next to a tree i guess actual name: ro-ro-ro-ro-ru, Rororororu my impression: this is literally a zelda name

TAUROS

name meaning: it's supposed to be the face of a bull, with two horns, the 'no's for eyes and a big honkin nose actual name: na-no-mu-no-na, Nanomunona my impression: kinda sounds like it could be a regular name for a thing? idk

LAPRAS name meaning: it's supposed to look like both a pool of water and a whale, but this effect is lost outside of the game boy setting as the font resolution makes it look less like anything actual name: to-he-ko-ni-n, Tohekonin my impression: this probably sounds the most convincingly like it could have been an actual name for a thing

note that i am not doing any kind of research into what words these might make and other such implications of the japanese language as my primary point here is to explain why the names are so weird like that & satisfy my own curiosity as to what they actually mean

• I do believe in the Soul Cross-Contamination thing (I call it BloodCode), but with a twist: If you take BloodCode parts and put them in a non-BloodCode animatronic, it's very much like sharing liquids. ⅓ of the BloodCode's original endo is used for a new model? The new model has ⅓ of the spirit, while the BloodCode has ⅔.

• Fazbear Entertainment Build-An-Endo. no i will not elaborate yet.

• Mangle's Endo Head is either hopped up 24/7 or the chillest bot you will ever meet. i mean lookit

• Freddy In Space was made to hype children up about space even more.

• Endo-02 is out there, roaming the world, watching FazEnt grow, and grow, and forget... They also volunteer at sci-fi/science expos for Retro stalls or the evolution of robotics or whatnot.

• Gamer Toy Freddy, we know he's terrible at Office Defense. But you give him a level editor? He puts the whole Renessance era of artists to shame.

• DCA. I want to strip your suit off, break you open, and see what the fuck your endo looks like. I fully believe that if DCA had shells and not all that cloth-looking shit, they could hit bodily rotations the likes of which we've only seen in poor 3D limb rendering, body horror, and rubberhose characters winding up the fattest punch you've ever seen.

• Helpy uses Plush Endo. it just makes sense.

• Official FazEnt. crayons have a selection for the FNAF1 Five, and Bonnie's is just called "Distilled Bonnie"

• Ennard, at their peak, had complete control over every individual wire, so they could slither down into a single long cable, make an extra-strong arm, or scissor-lift up hiiiiiigh. This also explains the HW2 Shuffle.

• Mike already eats whole sticks of butter. It's not insane for him to like black licorice.

• Diversity win! The unnatural automaton that lured you down into restricted areas to try and kill you by replicating your best friend's voice is nonbinary!
