Just saw this and omg it is gorgeous! I think it's to celebrate tbhk's 10 years since I never saw those before~ and God omg I'm a sucker for these outfits..

The flowery theme is so...pretty...ahhh.....and the colorful outfits.......

First look at this guy. The outfit??? The colors are so- omg. I love the patterns on him and the little cats he's holding and the feather like accessory on his sleeves? Kinda remind me of fish Nene. Seeing him in this robe(?) outfit makes me think of Tsukasa hehe...There are so many details and he looks amazing~

There's something about this more adult-y Akane and glasses Akane that is so... Love the clock detail here and the palette again is amazing ( I don't even know how they made his brown palette work with the theme)

Anyways not a single miss in these outfits they look absolutely stunning and I adore how colorful it is (like each outfit palette has really diverse colors and it's so pretty)

For the first time we see a full view of Gareth as he stomps down the school hallway, scowling fiercely. He’s wearing his Hellfire shirt and red flannel vest, but over it a black leather jacket decorated with metal studs and chains. Ripped black jeans and the aforementioned heavy black boots complete the undeniably Eddie-like image, a stark contrast to the colorful summery outfits of the preppy kids surrounding him.

LYRIC: NO

Gareth roughly shoves aside a kid in a sports uniform. The kid is bigger than him, but looks scared of him.

LYRIC: DON’T THINK I NEED ANYTHING AT ALL

Camera shifts to a wider perspective as Gareth stalks away. Kids mostly ignore him, continuing to give him a wide berth. At the strong GUITAR CHORD he turns abruptly and though he doesn’t speak audibly it’s clear that he snaps “fuck off!” at a group of little band nerds who were staring at him. They jump back, frightened, and immediately scatter. Gareth disappears around the corner.

LYRIC: ALL IN ALL IT WAS ALL JUST BRICKS IN THE WALL

Closeup on Gareth’s hand, adorned with chunky silver rings nearly identical to Eddie’s, shoving open the door of the gymnasium. Pan around gym; it’s obviously a “first day back to school” pep rally or assembly of some sort. The gym is a riot of school spirit and colors and perky happy kids.

Gareth storms right past Jeff and Grant— who exchange worried looks— without acknowledging them, and climbs to the very top of the bleachers, sitting far away from all the other students.

LYRIC: ALL IN ALL YOU WERE ALL JUST BRICKS IN THE WALL

As the music fades into the next track, Gareth slumps against the wall, crossing his arms, glaring around the room as if daring anyone else to approach. Pan out reveals he’s sitting beneath a hand painted banner that says KEEP OUR SCHOOLS SAFE! with two large crosses and ichthys symbols painted on either side of the words.

Cut to Lucas, Mike, Dustin, and Will entering the gym; Dustin starts heading in Gareth’s direction but is quickly stopped by Jeff.

Gareth glares daggers at his friends.

Summary: Maya meets Andrew DeLuca with Carina as a witness.

“Does this look okay?” Maya asks Carina for the third time today coming out of their bedroom wearing a black t-shirt and dark jeans. Carina makes French toast in the kitchen for three people since her brother Andrew DeLuca is coming over to officially meet Maya.

The day he went into treatment Carina told Maya that once he’s better she wants them to meet. Maya was nervous but happy that Carina is moving their relationship forward by introducing Maya to her family. From what Carina told her Andrew is nice and told her the other night he already liked Maya based on Carina’s word alone.

Despite this Maya is worried on how she’ll present herself to her live-in girlfriend’s brother, citing that brothers normally detest her, including her own. Which is why she is trying on a third outfit for this occasion.

Carina chuckles at Maya’s nervousness, “Bambina you look great, just like you did two outfits ago. He’s going to love you don’t worry.”

Maya exhales, “You know I hate it when people tell me not to worry, it makes me worry more. It’s the first time I’m meeting my girlfriend’s family and it’s during a pandemic so my neurosis are on fire.”

“Breathe Maya breathe.” Carina recites and Maya follows breathing in and out, “Good. Now listen normally my brother doesn’t like the people I date but it’s not the case right now. When I told him about you, he was happy and excited to meet you. And that was before he even saw you.” Maya calms down at this assurance, “Once he sees you and knows you, he will be happy that you are in my life. I promise.”

Maya grins at her love, “Okay.”

The doorbell rings and Maya inhales deeply before Carina moves to open it and throws Maya a smile, “It will be fine.”

Carina opens the door and Maya stands behind Carina in her outfit that she is criticizing already but grins behind the mask she has on at Andrew DeLuca. Andrew stands outside the door in his brown jacket, red shirt and jeans with a black mask for protection.

“Negative covid test here’s the proof.” Andrew holds up his phone with the results from the tests they all took last night.

“We’re clean too, come in come in.” Andrew follows Carina and keeps a respectable six feet distance from Maya who stands there nervous but composed. Andrew looks at her happy to meet the woman who made his sister happy during a difficult time in both of their lives. Maya relaxes slightly as she can tell Andrew is smiling behind his mask.

Carina starts introduction, “Maya Bishop this is my brother Andrea, but he goes by Andrew. Andrea this is the love of my life Maya.”

Maya smiles at the endearment and looks at their guest, “Hi it’s nice to officially meet you. I would shake you hand but you know.”

Andrew grin, “It’s nice to officially meet you too. Carina has told me a lot about you.”

Maya looks flattered, “All good I hope.”  

“It was.” Andrew clarifies, “And it’s probably the most she told me about a woman she’s dating and believe me there has been a lot.”

Carina admonishes her brother’s teasing, “No do not listen to him.”

Maya chuckles at the sibling quarrel before spotting the gift bag in DeLuca’s hands, “What’s in the bag?”

“Oh right.” He hands them the bag with Maya taking it, “It’s a housewarming gift, I didn’t want to show up empty handed.”

Maya looks surprised, “Oh that’s really sweet of you thank you.” Maya takes out the flat white top pillar candles packaged in a set of three to her confusion.

Andrew explains, “It’s a flameless candle. I was an EMT before I went to college, so I know how superstitious firefighters are and how they don’t keep lighters at home. So, I got you something in case the power goes out, batteries are included.”

Maya chuckles, “I have a fireplace but thanks for this. You can never be too prepared that’s my motto.”

“It is.” Carina clarifies with a grin, “She practically carries a checklist everywhere she goes, at first it was annoying but then it was sexy.”

Andrew winces at that, “Okay before my sister makes me lose my appetite we should probably eat.”

“Yeah, good idea, I have a shift in an hour, so I need some replenishment. Kitchen is over here, and coffee is by the pantry.”

“Great I’ll serve us.” Andrew walks by her to the kitchen while Maya looks at Carina with a grin who grins back before caressing her arm as they head to the kitchen to continue this meeting.

A Day In The Life Of Bellamy Blake

Day 3: Bellamy + Favorite Outfit

Season 3 canon-divergence AU (I just love the curls with the guard’s jacket, sue me) This is a fic all about Bellamy being in the guard in season three, or between seasons two and three, whichever you like. 

Bellamy pulls on his guard’s jacket with a look around the closet he’s been calling his room since getting back from Mouth Weather. It’s empty with just a blanket on the floor, and a shirt balled up for a pillow. They’re already struggling to house all of the people from the Ark, and the kids from the dropship that survived. So, he’s just been packing himself in here away from everyone else. His shoulders touch each wall as he turns to leave. Bellamy steps out of the room, closing the door behind himself. He runs a hand through his hair, pushing it away from his eyes. Then he heads to sign-in, and let the night shift off duty. 

He finds Murphy standing with Miller, talking with smiles on their faces. It makes Bellamy smile too since it took them a while to start to settle in. At least they’re feeling more comfortable now even though they’re still struggling with how others are treating them. It’s a two steps forward one step back kind of process. A lot of people still look at them like they’re criminals, someone to be looked down upon. Luckily people are slowly coming around. Miller and Bellamy have had to talk Murphy into being patient, but it’s totally worth it seeing them talking and laughing. 

“Hey, Bellamy, you on shift today too?” Murphy asks as soon as he notices Bellamy walking up. 

“Yeah, I am. Miller?” 

“I’m getting off shift right now. I’ll stay here till you check in.” 

Bellamy nods, heading to login his check-in time. Miller logs his check-out time as soon as he’s done, obviously exhausted. That leaves Murphy and Bellamy at the gate. 

“How you been?” Bellamy asks. 

“Well, it hasn’t been that long since we had a shift together.” 

“It’s been a week.”

“Shit, seriously? Well, this week has been pretty good. Seriously, it’s a lot better.” 

“That’s good, I’m glad.” 

Monty runs up before they can continue their conversation. 

“Hey, Bellamy, can you come help me?” 

This is fairly common. In fact, Bellamy spends most of his shifts running around helping anyone that asks for it. 

“You alright here?” 

Murphy nods, grinning. “Go play Prince Charming. It’s like this place can’t run without you.” 

Bellamy laughs. “It can, it just doesn’t have to. Whatcha need, Monty?” 

“We have to run inspections on everything in the hangar, and Jasper is busy. He said he’d come help when he gets a chance, but I need some help now.” 

“Yeah, I can do that. I’m pretty good with cars.” 

Bellamy follows Monty to the hangar, rolling up his sleeves. He heads over to the Rover while Monty splits off to the other side. He opens the hood, beginning his inspection. Once he’s done under the hood, he slides underneath the car. 

Fifteen minutes after he first started, Octavia’s voice floats through the air, “Hey, Monty. Have you seen Bell?” 

“Yeah, he’s under that car over there.” 

“Ok, thanks.” 

Octavia kneels down, lowering her head to the ground so she can see him. 

“Hey, Bell. What’re you doing?” 

“I’m inspecting this car. Let me finish up here, and then we can talk.” 

“Jasper is here. You can stop after that car!” Monty yells, and Bellamy can see Octavia give him a thumbs up. 

Bellamy finishes up his inspection, then slides out. He grabs the keys before getting into the car. 

“So, what’s up?” 

“Lincoln was wondering if you could lead another training session with him at five-thirty.” 

“Yeah, I can do that.”

“Oh, also, Kane and Abby want to see you now if you have time. They just said to drop by as soon as you could.”

“Alright, I can do that. This started, and is running just fine. So I’ll check this off, and then I’ll head over there. I’ll see you later, O.” 

Octavia nods, then walks back out. Bellamy turns the car off, puts the keys back, then checks off the inspection papers for the Rover that Monty has gathered on his desk. He cleans his hands and arms, then rolls his sleeves back down. After that he heads to Abby’s office. His boots clang off of the metal floors, echoing in the quiet hallways. Kane is the one to answer when he knocks, motioning for him to come in. 

“Hey, what’s going on?” Bellamy asks, glancing between Kane, and Abby, who is sitting on the couch nearby. 

“We just wanted a full update on the guard, and how the kids are settling in. What issues you’ve had, and what we can help with,” Abby says, smiling softly at Bellamy. 

Bellamy nods. “Ok, I should have time for that, but I’ll need to check in with Murphy as soon as I’m done.” 

Abby nods, and Kane pulls him over to sit down by her. Bellamy complies, sitting down, and watching as Kane sits down across from them. Bellamy launches into a detailed explanation of how the kids have been settling into their separate roles, and how they’ve been dealing with everything. He includes how they’ve been treated though he does understand that they’re not capable of changing that. He tells them how the guard shifts have been going, and how everything is running smoothly by now. Everyone has gotten into a groove, and it’s all working out really well. 

Once he’s done, Abby asks him, “So, is there anything we can help with that will make you guys' lives easier?” 

“Not that I can think of.” 

“Alright, well you can go.” 

Bellamy nods, standing back up. He heads back to the gate to finish the rest of his shift. Once five rolls around, he turns to Murphy. 

“I gotta lead training once the night shift comes. So I’ll let you do handover with them while I coordinate with Lincoln.” 

Murphy nods, and Bellamy leaves as soon as the night shift arrives. It’s five twenty by the time he reaches the area they normally hold training in. They’re doing more hand to hand combat, which lasts for about an hour. Bellamy skips out on dinner altogether, and heads straight to his room once they’re done cleaning up from training. He collapses onto his blankets with a content smile. It was a long day, but definitely worth it.

I have two questions about the utdm gang, mostly just for fun. How would they dress in the modern age and what would their ideal day off look like?

Marius:

Dresses very well (when he can afford it...), clothes are always clean and hair always done even if his apartment is shit lol. In modern times he'd stand out bc he'd wear "old fashioned" 1920s dandy styles, or clothes "meant for women" like crop tops and cute shorts, and bright colors.

Ideal day off in both modern and 20's is going out to eat and dance with friends. You could convince him to stay in, but he'd still want to do something engaging and invite lots of people over. It's actually nice when he gets a boyfriend bc then hes out on dates all the time instead of bugging the far more introverted Jack and Eveline.

Jack:

Already has no sense of fashion lmao,,, doesnt change much in modern times. Jeans, work boots and a tanktop. Maybe a button down or flannel if he's gotta look nice. Denim overalls if he's gotta work, a baseball cap he got for free at a feed store to keep the sun outta his eyes. Owns more work clothes than "regular" clothes for sure, and knows how to mend them.

A day off where you actually got Jack to relax: walking in a nice nature reserve or forest with no people, or a friend or two. Maybe some fishin', and grilling said fish in the evening with some friends over a fire. Going to sleep actually at peace and content with himself. God bless.

Lottie:

Wears whatever's on trend at the time, albeit with her own spin. She can look good in basically anything, would def be one of those fashion insta girlies. An ideal day off would be a nice spa day followed by shopping or a night out with her best friends. They could be doing anything - restaurant, dancing, a horror movie marathon.

Eveline:

Likes thrifting (and antiqueing in general), and prefers to alter and sew her own clothes. She's very opinionated against fast fashion haha. She'd be the one buying handmade jewelry at festivals. An ideal day off would be some restful fucking sleep with no one interrupting her enjoying a quiet morning at a cafe, browsing an antique shop or little bookstore, and going home to cook something while listening to a podcast/radioshow. Marius can come over and bring his friends if they do the dishes afterward lol.

Little Lottie:

Buying clothing for LL is an Endeavor (tm) bc of her sensory sensitivities and the fact like, trying on clothes in Walmart or Old Navy would be an awful experience for her. Also, when she likes an outfit, she doesn't want to wear anything else. So when they find a favorite thing, Lottie buys like three or five of them in increasingly larger sizes so LL can still have that specific shirt or dress when she gets bigger. She'll wear her halloween costume for months if she loves it.

Little Lottie's ideal "day off" in modern is much the same as it would be in canon; she wants a warm, secure home with no sudden noises or women shouting or strange men coming and going. She'd want to have space to lay out her legos and books and stuffed animals, and not be bothered or interrupted, but not alone - she wants to look up and see Lottie or MC close by in case she needs them. And when she's done playing she wants to go to their side for a snack and juice and be read to.

(Playing outside would be fun too, but parks and zoos are overwhelming and have lots of people - so a big backyard with a sandbox would be like, perfect)

Slyvester:

Still dresses like he's in the 50's; he is not that old in the modern times, he's just stuffy and overly fastidious. At least he doesn't wear a hat and jacket all the time. Supposedly, there's photo evidence of him in a hawaiian shirt and sandals with socks in the myriads of family photo albums his wife keeps.

As for a day off - lord this man needs it - he has a list of places his wife Viviana wants to go, anywhere from museum exhibits to weird performative art installments to a tiny hole in the wall Greek place she heard about 4 years ago to the local Renfaire. In modern times it'd be much easier for her to get about with a wheelchair, so they can go out more. They're more restricted in the 1920s, but they try to make it work whenever Slyvester's off for a few days. Alas, big shocker, Flynn doesn't allow many of those.

Lightning bonus round Malwina is a normal happy teenager who likes going to ☆spooky☆ dead malls and doing tiktok dances with her friends and little sisters. Máire never left Ireland, is the reluctant mom-friend to her coworkers at the lesbian bar, and is v active in the Dublin punk & queer community. And is properly divorced LOL.

I DIDN'T HAVE DESIGNS BUT I SAW THIS AND DIDN'T WANNA LEAVE YOU HANGING SO I SKETCHED THEM OUT AS FAST AS I COULD!!! They are very rough sketches though, so apologies if they don't look the best. (Also ran out of room for Silver and Blaze, so I'll just explain what I'm thinking for them.)

Starting with Sonic, we've got our pretty standard Nicky look with slightly different bangs, though no glasses for this boy. But I think the hoodie is still red. Also, I made his quills much shorter than Hero!Sonic's quills. This boy isn't fighting evil every day, he has no reason to make sure he can cut through solid metal with his hair. XD

For Tails, I changed his bangs because I can't draw his canon bangs for the life of me. (Or Amy's for that matter.) I was thinking for his shirt that he's wearing some kind of baseball jersey. We can let this kid play sports, as a treat. :D The number two is obviously a reference to his two tails, which yes, I let him keep! I figured since it's a mutation, it would probably still happen in the real world. The only difference is he can't fly with them. I also gave Tails glasses because yes.

With Knuckles, I tried my best to make him tall and bulky, since he's a football player. So basically, the Boom Knuckles look except not quite that exaggerated. Gave him a scar that he probably got during practice one day, but mostly because I really like giving characters scars. XD And then he's got a skull t-shirt and some shorts because he's a tough sports guy.

For Amy, I debated hard on what expression she should be making, and I ultimately decided on an indifferent pose because of character arc thingies I have in mind for her. :3 Changed her bangs, changed her hair a bit, and gave her a long sleeve shirt with a heart. She's a cheerleader with some cutesy clothes, not much else to say. (Also she's looking at her phone if you couldn't tell.)

Rouge was pretty fun because I LOVE putting her in outfits. Gave her bangs because I'm a Rouge bangs truther. She's wearing what I hope are some stylish popular girl type clothes complete with way too many bracelets on each wrist. (pretend she's wearing more than she is) And then some high heels to top it off! Also let her pierce her ears twice because why not.

Shadow's wearing a hoodie like Sonic, but his has some patterns! I think his hoodie would be dark gray with those stripes being red. He doesn't have red stripes on his quills since he isn't the Ultimate Lifeform, though I think he can keep his red eyes. Also gave him some emo bangs for fun.

Moving on to describing the ones I didn't get to draw! For Silver, I think he's wearing all white clothes. I'm kinda picturing a jacket with some puffy white fur around the hood kinda like the jacket I drew here. Also, I think he's wearing sunglasses, like he's too cool for this world. XD

And then for Blaze, she's a foreign exchange student and I'm thinking she's from Japan. So, I think it would be really cool and pretty if she wore a kimono! Maybe she's got her hair up in a bun with a pretty accessory/clip of some kind to keep it tidy.

Anyway, yeah! Those are my basic thoughts for everyone's designs! :D Hope you like em!

brozone and the bunker part 1

im sorry but i have to break this up into more than one part bc tumblr only allows 30 images on a post. so i tried my best to get good screenshots of everything and ill tell you a little about my thought process 😁i tried to make all of them good looking bc they were pop sensations so theyre are still gonna be good looking (aged like a fine wine) bc majority of celebs do

so first up, as the oldest, is john dory. i tried to recreate his jacket but there were no vests like that, theres no option for glasses/goggles on the head so theyre on his face. i also tried to do the fingerless gloves but again no option :(

you got the close up of his face with and without goggles. i picture him as kinda scruffy. you cant tell bc of the clothes but hes fit and toned. he has body hair, arms legs and chest. i also gave him a little tattoo. i didnt have many colors to work with for hair so i felt the green fit him the best.

next is bruce. same as john, didnt have many colors to work with for hair but it works. like john he has facial hair and body hair, especially chest hair. i choose a tied back style bc 1 there was no hair as big and beautiful as his hair and 2 he works in food as his hair is supposed to be tied back. i gave him his dad bod but still kind of toned? hes still strong. i went through every outfit and added his wedding ring

onto the middle child, clay. i tried to do the wild hair but none of the styles suited him. i headcanon that clay often ties his hair back when hes working so i choose that style. i didnt see any shirt choices with the pattern he wears but i did kind of incorporate with his pants. clay and floyd both lean towards thinner body types so thats what i did. idk if itll show up once i post this but i wanted clay to still have some of that 'fun boy' charm so i gave him freckles bc whats more boyish than freckles

time for the sensitive one, now bc i didnt think anyone would want to see these, i did use cc for some of them. i remember floyd for sure. i couldnt do one earring like i wanted so he has two. i tried to give him more piercing but they didnt work. i gave him heavy eye makeup and a beauty mark. it just seemed to fit in my opinion. i leaned into soft boy image, the 2000s emos, and the fact that his body was probably not the same after dying. so he looks soft and cozy and comfy.

on to the baby, bitty b, baby branch. i leaned into the greens in his canon outfit. i wanted him be wearing woodsy, hand made, patched up looking clothes. again did my best with the hair. hes got a sturdy build like john but hes slimmer than john. i wish i would have put some kind of scar on his face, that fits him.

for the actual bunker i tried to base it off branch's drawing and what we see in the canon of the movies and show. i was mainly trying to set it up like the drawing. there are on elevators in the sims so i just made a basic room to act as an entry way or foyer with a staircase. i feel like branch would have a bunch of clutter and junk. so when his brothers "moved in" hed have to move stuff around and i imagine that hed have some of their grandmas stuff and some of his brothers old stuff. i also wanted to incorporate the fact that he probably started building this when he was still really young so some design choices were made by a little kid

finally. the gouenji post where i rate his looks (soccer and school uniforms excluded).

gouenji is the face of the franchise along with endou and kidou, he has his own manga spinoff, and he's regularly elected as a fan favourite in every popularity contest.

canonically, gouenji has a huge fanclub of girls rooting for him and it's definitely not only because soccer.

so why is he so popular ?

well mostly because he's non verbal most of the time (girls love boys who can shut up), he makes bomb ass takoyaki, and he's also very handsome. but are his clothes helping or is he THAT handsome ? let's find out.

ah, the OG season 1 classic. the first ever outfit. he looks great. orange is as much his color as it is endou's, it suits him very well. we already know gouenji is careful with his looks, since he canonically spikes his hair every morning, and now, we can be sure the fucker knows how to dress himself. he knows how to make colors match, he even matches the sunset. truly unparalleled.

if kazemaru didn't exist, i would have fell in love with him. 10/10

OG season 2. man i want that hoodie. i want it so much. it's as cool in the game as it is in the anime.

i really like how this outfit manages to hide him and completely reveal him at the same time. the orange color, the fucking saiyen hairstyle under the hood. this dumbass had to keep the spikes even though he knew he had to hide them under a fucking hoodie that would ruin his work. it's called dedication. 11/10

before moving on to GO, (where the problems lies mostly), let's talk about two out of category looks.

i love gouenji's looks in the games, especially the very first. he looks like a whole different character, way more rebellious and loudmouthed with his frosted tips, jet black eyes and eyebrows, unbuttoned jacket (we'll talk about those) and single earring. he looks very homosexual. 10/10

after the first game tho, they dropped the delinquent look and he got the inverted pikachu treatment, they made him rounder. a little saddened but not complaining, they kept the best features. 8/10

one day i'll talk about the orion endings in detph, with all the emotions they triggered in me. persisting in giving him a hood is funny though. 7/10

OK NOW LET'S TALK ABOUT GO.

the ishido shuuji outfit. iconic.

my man looks EXPENSIVE and that's great. i can see the first game gouenji in him. i cannot tell if he's gay or european. the raybans, the blood read suit, the slutty unbuttoned shirt, the jewelry, the kazemaru blue streaks iN his unspiked hair ! this outfit would cost me more than my day job monthly salary. he's living the life.

i can't buy him as a villain but i can buy him as a mean girl. 100/10

the concept art is as good as the final design. i do get why they didn't keep the spikes for this look. he would have looked a little too much like a gay broly. not a bad thing but understandably unpreferable.

his hair does look good unspiked but... where are the blue streaks. why is he suddely hiding his chest under three layes of clothing. gouenji darling you know warm colors suit you best so why the grey-blue-ish suit ? am i supposed to believe this is the real you ? i know it's not. i hope you find yourself. 4/10

OH BOY NEVERMIND WTF IS THIS.

wtf went through everybody's head while designing this. i get this is a way to mimic adult endou's charm but it does not work. gouenji isn't endou. you love endou because he's a very wholesome bundle of joy (voiced by naruto), and you love gouenji bc he is one half of the inazuma eleven equivalent of sasuke (kidou being the other half), you can't dress them the same way and not see the dissonance.

this man is not gouenji, this man buys cheap beers in the early afternoon without saying thank you to the cashier. this man pretends to be a metalhead. this man just divorced kanye. i would not trust him with my kids.

this is not a relaxed look, this is a sad, depressed look. please gouenji talk to someone. people love you. you can be helped. 0/10

conclusion : i don't know how they fucked up so bad at the end, they really made gouenji forgot about his hard-earned fashion skills. thank god he actually IS that handsome but before that he's all W after W. i'm eager to see him in victory road.

Character Introduction: Zero

So uh in the spirit of everyone knowing what the fuck I'm ever talking about, I've decided a character Introduction was in order!

Name: Zero (originally Kian Whittaker)

Gender: Man

Sexuality: He's fallen in love with one person in his life and then got traumatized out of ever falling for someone again (within the canon time frame)

Age: 634 years old, but he looks like 2 days over 19

Appearance: emo He has chin length pitch black hair, most of it tied up in a bun for a half up half down look. His skin is pale. The top half of his face is mostly covered by a black ornate mask, but you can just see his bright white eyes. He's thin and only 5'10 (but will still kick ass). He has what looks like a black choker at first, but black tendrils spread down from it through his body that look oddly like wires.

Outfit: He wears black pants, a black cropped zip jacket (typically unzipped) with a black shirt under it, and standard issue black combat boots. The jacket and pants have white accents, and the jacket has a white X* across the back. A couple of seemingly normal swords can be seen hanging from his hips. Under his shirt, a small silver chain with two rings on it (one simply engraved and one with floral detailing) hangs.

Personality: He seems very unapproachable (purposely) but if you have a strong enough personality to push past the bullshit he's actually pretty witty and funny.

Affinity: He can control a dark energy, usually used to form 2 twin scythes. His other powers include immortality (the not dying of old age +longer time you can go without necessities kind) and the ability to sense his surroundings. No one lives long enough when confronted to learn his other two powers

Rank: Archreaper**

Public Backstory: Very little is known about Zero, as most people aren't even sure he's fully human. Only one thing is known for sure, he's old enough to rival the country itself. No one knows where he comes from or even what his face actually looks like. Some swear that he was born from shadows and the day he returns to them is the mark of the end.

The ‘choker’ is a control device. It can cause immense unstoppable pain, prevent Zero from taking his own life, and cause every one of his muscles to seize up. It can also send poison to his brain in different doses, either making him lethargic or straight up killing him

He was born with only the whites of his eyes (no pupil or iris) so he can't see. Brother is blind if not for the sight-adjacent thing his Affinity does

*The X is the only required part of the 'uniform' for Archreapers. Archreapers must display the stars (markers of achievement/rank signifiers) they have on the back of their uniform. An X = 500 or more stars.

**Archreapers are the second highest rank in the military, the first being the general. Because of their high rank, they are allowed to wear whatever they want. There are only 9 Archreapers in service at each time, and you have to be specially selected (and exceptionally strong) to become one. After Archreapers are selected, they replace their name with whatever number they were replacing. Their old name is erased from everything and they are banned to ever go by anything other than their number, unless for a mission.

5. Describe their cozy night in.

Depends on where they are. At the museum, they'll probably sneak off to one of the quieter places, like the planetarium or the ocean exhibit, and just cuddle up together and talk and watch the exhibit around them. Katherine's also figured out how to play movies in the planetarium theatre, so she's rigged that up once or twice.

If they're hanging out at Katherine's apartment, they'll probably share a late-night meal (or at least a snack) and cuddle up on the couch. Katherine's sketching, Ahk's reading something, they've probably got some music or a movie on just for a little ambiance, but they're really just enjoying the feeling of sharing the same space without the chaos and clutter of the museum.

25. Do they have any hobbies they share?

I mean, Katherine's definitely interested in learning more about Ahk's time, and especially learning to speak and translate his language, and he's more than happy to teach her. I think they both just have a lot of curiosity within them, and they enjoy learning together (whether that's one actively teaching the other, watching a documentary together and talking about it, or just parallel play where they're in the same room reading two books on completely different topics)

30. Your OTP gets to pick out each other’s outfits; what is each wearing?

Oooh, good question!

Katherine's canonically done this a few times across WWFA? and the sidepieces I've written for it, but she's picking something academic but comfy. Slacks, either a knit sweater or a vest over a dress shirt, maybe a jacket or blazer if it's chilly out. Something modern, comfortable to wear, but that's still going to maintain a bit of that "regal" look without being overblown (and, let's be real, he's gonna look damn good)

With Ahk, it's a little harder to predict. If he's given total free rein, he'd of course want to see her in clothes from his time, because wouldn't you if you were in his position? But if we're going based on what he could reasonably have available, I think he'd honestly try to recreate something he's seen Katherine wear often herself - he thinks she looks good in just about anything, but he also knows she still has a few deep-rooted insecurities and above all would want to make sure she's comfortable in what she's wearing. It might be the safer bet, but he'd rather see her smiling in an outfit he's seen her wear a hundred times than uncomfortable in something brand new.

Madison and Alex

42. What’s their favorite type of weather to enjoy together? (getting snowed in together, watching thunderstorms, etc.)

Madison doesn't like cold weather most of the time, but she loves hiking with him on those snowy winter afternoons. There's this sweet spot in there, right where it's cold enough that she has an excuse to snuggle up to him but not so cold that either of them are genuinely uncomfortable.

I feel like Alex would be the exact opposite - he's a fan of the hot summer days, particularly those where it's so warm and humid that a dip in the lake sounds like the key to the universe. It's another excuse for them to get close, but this one's a bit more in the line of splash wars and Chicken Fights and sneaky underwater kisses.

44. Who would dance in the kitchen making dinner? Would the other join in or watch from the doorway?

Madison for sure. She enjoys cooking a hell of a lot more than Alex does, for sure, and she's got that restless motion that would absolutely have her dancing. As long as she feels safe and at home, she'd absolutely dance around the kitchen! And I feel like Alex would go either way. Sometimes (especially when the other guys are around) he'd rather just watch, but other times (such as when they're alone in the house and there's nobody to walk in and rib at him for it) he's right there with her.

57. Whose the serious one when grocery shopping and who likes to toss random things in the cart?

Madison's the serious one, absolutely. Her mother was a lot stricter in teaching her efficient shopping and budgeting, for one, and her time in the woods gave her a lot of food insecurity that makes her very hesitant to waste any food she has. She's not putting anything in the cart without an idea for what to do with it, especially if it's a food that spoils easily.

Alex is definitely the "toss random things in" type - not to say he didn't also experience a bit of food insecurity from his time in prison, but he's been living off Charles' practically bottomless bank account the past few years, and his view becomes more "I couldn't have the food I wanted so now I'm going to try whatever the hell I want while I have the chance" in comparison to Madison's "I couldn't have the food I wanted so now I refuse to waste any of the food I do have"

And honestly, they balance each other out. Alex's method alone results in too much junk food and not enough ingredients of substance to make actual meals, while Madison's method alone is too conservative and doesn't leave room for snacks and other casual eating (since she's not used to having snacks and casual eating, she's barely gotten used to having three meals every single day again)

i haven't seen seasons 1 through 3 since 2019 (but i am slowly making my way back through it) so forgive me for any inaccuracies, but purely from memory this is how im ranking steve from each season

character in general

Season Two Steve, because he's still got that jock-ish bitchy energy but it's also where we really start to see his softer side and also i think the first time you genuinely feel for him (his problem with billy, his implied problem with school, the bullshit scene), it's also the birth of babysitter steve!! and the second but much more thorough time we're shown that he's fully willing to put his life on the line to protect people he doesn't even know that well. He's a competent and strategic character who definitely has the vibe of Just Trying To Get Through The Year.

Scoops Steve, for similar reasons as the above but we also get to see the goofier prettyboy side of him and we're better introduced to Steve's observational skills and how the fact that he's not "smart" like the others is actually one of his advantages. Because while robin and dustin were focused on translating russian, steve couldn't stop noticing how familiar the background music was. this is also the season where Steve is starting to be written as a ditzier character, but i'm choosing to chalk that up to the fact that he's more laidback and less worried about his public appearance now that he works at an icecream parlor and wears a sailor uniform. (This is also the most bisexual version of steve, followed by s4)

King Steve, who i personally think was quite shallow (like from a writing perspective) but that is almost definitely because he wasn't originally supposed to survive the first season so he's forgiven for that. Still, we are shown someone who is cutting and self-confident, and then later shown that he is someone who is quick to realise when he's genuinely fucked up and just as quick to apologise. It's also when we're introduced to the idea that he will consciously put himself in danger to protect others. (@peter-pantomime made a really great video about one of Steve's tells on tiktok and i haven't been able to get it out of my head ever since)

Season 4 Steve, because they pretty much erased any and all of the competency previously shown in his character. I think this season did the most disservice to him, seeming to only write him off as genuine idiot who gets treated like shit by all of his friends and is only useful as a babysitter for teenagers who don't want to be babysat. It erased any progress he'd made in regards to his relationship with Nancy Wheeler, i think the only thing that kept him feeling like Steve was Joe Keery's acting and how well he knows the character. I think a lot of what was wrong with Steve's character this season could've been a really great way to introduce the amount of head trauma he's received through the other seasons but considering it wasn't so much as hinted at in canon it just seems like they circled back around to making Steve Harrington's character as shallow as it was in season 1. whether or not that's because they're setting him up to die in season 5, i think it was unfair.

The Treasure Of The Wings Of The Future Pirate King Part 1

Author’s Note: I am 20 years old in this story and both Zoro and Sanji are their canonical age of 21. This story is inspired partly by an idea I had, partly by the anime which I am currently watching, and partly by the Live Action which I have not watched yet but have seen clips of on YouTube. Takes place after the 2 year time skip following Marineford. 

The day started out normal or at least as normal as a day can start for a member of the Straw Hat Pirates. Delainey Gizella Hackett, better known to her crewmates as either Lai Lai or Siren; due to her sirenic abilities that she was surprisingly born with instead of having acquired them via a Devil Fruit, woke up in the cabin aboard the Thousand Sunny that she shared with the only other female members of the crew, the navigator Nami and the archaeologist Robin. Delainey got out of bed and got dressed in her usual outfit which consisted of dark blue ripped jeans, a short sleeved black button up shirt, black leather jacket, and black combat boots. Delainey finished off the outfit by putting her jewelry on before she left the cabin and headed towards the kitchen for breakfast. Delainey entered the kitchen to find the majority of the rest of the Straw Hats already inside and sitting at the table waiting for Sanji to finish making food. Delainey walked up behind Sanji who wasn’t just the crew’s chef but also her boyfriend. “Good morning, babe.” Delainey said to Sanji, kissing him on the cheek. “Good morning, darling.” Sanji responded. “Where’s our seaweed-haired swordsman? Normally he’s already sitting at the table.” Delainey asked Sanji, referring to the crew’s green-haired swordsman and vice captain, Roronoa Zoro, who also happened to be Delainey’s other boyfriend; Yes, you heard that right, Delainey has 2 boyfriends, Vinsmoke Sanji and Roronoa Zoro. As If on cue, the door to the kitchen opened and Zoro walked in. “Ah, perfect timing. I was just asking Sanji if he knew where you were. Good morning, my moss haired hunk.” Delainey said letting go of Sanji before approaching Zoro and wrapping her arms around him despite the fact that he had clearly just finished training up in the Crow’s Nest if the sweat on his brow and the towel wrapped around his neck were anything to go by. “Good morning, Delainey.” Zoro responded. “Ha, I got a kiss on the cheek from our darling Delainey while you only got a hug. I guess she must love me more than you, Mosshead.” Sanji said to Zoro from his place at the stove. “She loves us both equally, Curly Brow.” Zoro said in response. The two were about to start bickering when Delainey held up her hands in front of them, stopping them before saying, “Don’t you two dare start. It is too damn early for that. I just woke up not even 10 minutes ago and am in no mood to deal with you two’s stupid bickering.” Sanji and Zoro both chuckle as Zoro and Delainey take their seats at the table before Sanji places the plates of food in front of their respective crew members and takes his own seat at the table. Once everyone had eaten, Delainey got up from her seat at the table carrying everyone’s plates over to the sink and offered to help Sanji clean up from breakfast, but Sanji politely declined her offering saying that a lady such as herself shouldn’t have to do something as mundane as dishes. Delainey shrugged her shoulders and kissed Sanji on the cheek once more before leaving the kitchen to go about the rest of her day. Nami had told everyone on the crew yesterday that they would be stopping at an island soon to restock and to allow the crew to have a day off from sailing. Delainey was looking forward to stopping at an island soon, seeing as she and the rest of the crew had been stuck aboard the Thousand Sunny for what felt like an eternity. It was another 4 days before the Thousand Sunny finally docked on a summer island much to Delainey’s joy and relief. Luffy being the energetic captain that he is, was of course the first person off of the ship, jumping down from the deck to the sandy shore below, followed soon after by Robin, Nami, and Chopper, the latter being cradled in Robin’s arms as she descended to the shore below. Jimbe, Brook, Franky, and Ussop were next off the ship, the latter two quickly running off in search of Luffy. Zoro descended to the sandy beach below soon after Ussop and Franky ran off to find the crew’s mischievous and gluttonous captain.

RWBY: Something that will forever bother me is that I thought they would change their outfits. I dont like v7 outfits too much so wehn I saw they might be on a beach. I thought, 'Cool. Maybe they'll remove some layers of theit WINTER outfits and they might look better.' BUT NO. I thought weiss and blake would lose their jackets, yang gets a ponytail, im not sure about ruby, shes fine ig. But still pretty unhappy. oh well

I get that it takes more time, effort, and of course money to create the new models (even overlooking the fact that RT is no longer the struggling startup it once was...) but for me, missing details like that really hinder my sense of immersion. They don't actively take me out of the story, but they don't help me stay tethered to it either, which is much more of a problem when the writing is struggling like RWBY's is.

As I mentioned in another post, I've started Demon Slayer (which is excellent) and little moments with clothing really help the storyworld to feel real. Why doesn't Tanjiro's uniform tear during all those intense battles? Oh look, here's a scene with his mentor explaining precisely how that's possible. Why doesn't Inosuke's mask fall off? It does after a particularly vicious headbutt, finally revealing his face. Here two of the characters are removing their outer layers to give someone a pillow and blanket. Here they are changing into a new set of clothes while their uniforms are washed. Zenitsu hangs onto others' robes when he's particularly scared, pulling them askew. Inosuke wears or doesn't wear a shirt depending on the situation. People comment on the bamboo in Nezuko's mouth. Tanjiro's earrings are slowly being revealed as significant... Clothing is a part of the characters and the story actually treats it as such.

In contrast, RWBY has lost almost all of that work despite starting out as a series built around the thematic significance of outfit colors. Not even their weapons, tools through which the ENTIRE conflict is built around, are given any true acknowledgement anymore, not when Weiss finds hers in a heartbeat offscreen, getting Blake's back becomes fodder for jokes, Ruby shows no inclination to get Crescent Rose back (with, more significantly, her teammates ignoring that uncharacteristic passivity), and Jaune apparently has never tried to mend his sword. Only stealing Yang's arm is even somewhat significant and likewise treated in a jokey, ultimately-unimportant-to-her-development manner.

Now take into consideration everything they DON'T do, including reacting to the tropical nature of the Ever After. Give me scenes where Yang puts up her hair, Blake takes her stockings off, Ruby tears the sleeves off her shirt, Weiss cuts her skirt to make it shorter, and she and Yang both loose their jackets because holy shit it's hot here. Also we're literally lost in a parallel fantasy world, maybe dead, who gives a crap how we look or if we need to buy new clothes later?? Give me the girls pulling off extra layers to cushion Ruby's head after her faint. Let them tear off a strip to bind a wound. Who's going to trade something like their jewelry to gain what they need? (Something we did get with Ruby's rose pendant, but it happened so fast and with no emotional punch it was just frustrating. Great idea, terrible execution.) Who's going to pick up new pieces while traipsing across the Ever After, perhaps visually signifying their acceptance of the place (something we could have gotten with Ren in Atlas)? Who's outfit gets scorched or torn or soiled because unlike Demon Slayer, there's no canonical reason for why these clothes should still be looking pristine after all they've been through?

Obviously RWBY doesn't have to do all of this, but it should do something to sell the idea that these are real people post-battle, traveling a hostile, tropical-esque land after they've been prepped for the ARCTIC. Keeping them exactly the same doesn't help me fall into the fantasy of watching RWBY, it just makes me go, "Oh, they probably want new outfits for Volume 10, so they're not bothering to change anything now :/" The viewer is already well aware that Volume 9 is a filler season that's struggling to be significant in the grand scheme of things. You don't want anything that's going to add to that feeling.

I’m fusing Total Drama characters in Sims 4 using the genetic mechanic.

13- What is something your character would refuse to wear? this is a good annie question. shes a represses as fuck butch lesbo so she WILL NOT wear any clothes that make her look more masculine but she also feels she is a failure of a woman for this so she doesnt wear anything feminine either because she doesnt feel like shes "allowed" and she also feels like a freak when she does dress feminine. most neutral ugly big hoodie big pants outfits u have seen in your life she owns all of them

14- Is there a style your character is afraid they can’t pull off? umm i guess for annie i just answered that but tbh im not sure... im not good with like fashion styles and stuff like that so i dont draw them in anything fancy so i dont associate a lot of them with like particular fashion styles lol.

15- Would your character wear something someone else picked out for them? i think it depends who and what... for example claire would wear mostly whatever as long as he liked it but he would be much more tolerant of different stuff than he usually wears if it was amber picking out his clothes than someone he doesnt know as well

16- Is your character's appearance more telling or deceiving? i dont really know for this one as well sorry... i feel like im not the best at conveying that sort of thing visually so i dont know

17- What are your character's thoughts on wearing costumes? omg i dont have a name for the character im thinking of SORRY but one of the ITAFD guys he definitely would love costumes and dressing up and stuff. big weenie loser nerd he probably goes to like ren fairs and stuff. said affectionately. and probably antares would do it with him too because she thinks its funny + interesting

18- Does your character have a favorite outfit? zoey moment yes my beautiful butch anemic woman. wears her big fluffy jacket + flannel shirt everywhere. she hates the cold butthe jacket was also a gift from her late brother

19- If your character had to get a tattoo what would it be? i need to design tats for a LOT more of my ocs bc a lot of them would or should have them. claire gets one of a big oak tree on his back between his shoulders post canon... aelyn of course has a few ive halfway redesigned but she would have a lot more, and probably rebecca and dot would have some as well but not as many. cooper probably has one or two from pre-apocalypse too
