Pick, Pack, Sell (4/16)
Packaging Design - Research and Experimentation
Now with the shape of my packaging chosen, my next goal is to design what goes on it. I also had a quick meeting with a teacher, and was advised to check out a site for packaging design inspiration. Here are a few of the designs I looked at:

Although I already had ideas in mind prior to looking at these products, they gave me a solidified the idea of what colours and fonts I should go for, and how to layout my text. So, using Photoshop, I put rough ideas for my designs.

I experimented with a few different colours before settling on the ones shown above. In addition, I put down some patterns to go with each plaster type. I also went through different typefaces in Adobe Fonts to see what would create the feeling I wanted. For now, I'm going with the font with pink behind it.
Next, I also tried to design the packet I chose. In attempting to design this, I realised that I only had two sides worth of space to put information. But my product is medical, and thus requires a bit more text and imagery in the packaging. I didn't want to upsize my little envelope because that would ruin the point of it being conveniently pocket-sized. So, I decided to work on a box as my main form of packaging, like shown below.
