just discovered you and I am obsessed, so here’s a request! (does that rhyme lol)
ony and connie’s reactions to us giving them the upmost disrespect 🤭.

You were driving home after a long day of work. Having to deal with rude customers and on top of that you stayed over time to take in 4 more clients because your coworker called in sick.
Once you were right around the corner from you and Connies shared house, you pressed the button on the garage door opener remote that was clipped onto the mirror visor. You seen the garage opening from the distance.
You sighed. You really wanted a bath and to just lay in your boyfriends arms. its was 10:46pm so you knew he was on the game waiting for you.
“God dammit.” You whispered, dropping your head down to the steering wheel before backing up into the garage setting your white Honda Sonata next to your boyfriends Mercedes-Benz.
You got out of the car and grabbed your Tote bag shuffling your hand around in the cup holders to find the key since your car didn’t need for you to put it in, in order for it to start.
Once you found your key you got out of the car and locked it. Dragging your feet towards the door that connects to the house, you wanted to fall and go to sleep right then and there.
You opened the door and made your way towards the kitchen to set your things on the island. You seen your boyfriend in the living room playing ‘Call of Duty.’ He had his headset on and he was yelling every curse word in the book.
You chuckled to yourself. That man was going to get hurt one day having those headphones on. He didn’t even hear you come in. Then again, where theres Connie there is always a gun nearby.
You walked over to him standing behind the couch. You bent over and tried to plant a kiss on his cheek but he moved away. He removed one of the headphone muffs from his ear. “Hey baby.” Was all he said before turning back to the game. You stood there dumbfounded.
“That’s it?” You said, slightly confused. “What do you mean?” He said, turning his head slightly to you and then back to the game. “I come home after like 10 hours and all I get is a ‘hey baby’? Don’t even ask me how my day was.” You said, anger fueling in your system. “Too busy trying to suck on your friends dick and play that fuck ass game.” You said. Now it was Connies turn to get mad. He quickly muted his mic and turned off his game.
“You lost your fucking mind.” He said. “Bring your ass over here.” He glared at you. You walked to the other side of the couch, not wanting to push him anymore, but you still had a right to be mad.
Connie was in a manspread position. You stood in between his legs as he looked up at you. A stern look plastered on his face.
“You wanna embarrass me?” He said, voice low. He gripped your waist with both hands and yanked you onto his lap. You stared at chain he had on, that read your name.
“My eyes up here. Look at me when im talking to you.” He said with venom laced in his voice. He gripped your throat and forced you to look up at him. “Whats your problem mami?” He said, taking his free hand and slapping your ass. You jolted up, the stinging sensation going straight to your head causing your eyes to water.
“Nothing papi, im just tired.” You said, voice shaky. “Tired my ass.” He said, another slap landing onto your ass. You jolted up and again, causing a laugh to come out of connie. “Not finna lie, you got me fucked up. Get off me and turn over, im finna tear your ass up.” He chuckled.
You got off of him and went to the opposite side of where he was sitting. You laid there looking at the patterned carpet. You knew you were going to be on bed rest after this.
𝐎𝐍𝐘𝐀𝐍𝐊𝐎𝐏𝐎𝐍 ♡
You were laying down with your back resting on the headboard and Ony in between your legs. Your long nails massaging his scalp as he played a mobile game.
“At your big age you playing games on yo phone?” You said, a laugh coming from your chest. “Its not about my age ma, its about uhm” he stopped for a second. “Its about the what?” You laughed again. He slapped your thigh and went back to playing his game.
You picked up the remote and went to Spotify on your TV. You picked a different playlist (the starting song being)
‣ 𝐘𝐎𝐔~ 𝐋𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐝♫
“Pa, I need my hair done oh my God.” You said, looking through your best friends highlights. “No.” He said. You sat there with a confused look plastered on your face. “No?” You asked. “Yeah, no? I’m pretty sure I said it loud and clear.” He said, his gaze not leaving his phone.
“The hell? Get the fuck off of me.” You said, shoving him off you. He looked at you, like he wanted to kill you. “You mad or sum? why you suddenly got a attitude?” He asked you, turning his phone off.
You knew these were rhetorical questions. At the end of the day, he pissed you off. “Yeah I got me an attitude? I didn’t even do anything so why you acting like a bitch right now bro?” You said. You got off the bed walking downstairs into the kitchen, Ony following behind you.
Before you could even make it to the kitchen, Ony grabbed the back of your neck yanking you back causing you to turn and face him. He slowly slid his hand from the back of your neck to grab your throat.
“You got 20 seconds to figure out who the fuck you talking to and walking away from.” His eyes piercing straight through you. “You got me fucked up calling me a bitch and think you finna get away with it. Get yo ass upstairs” He yelled at you in your face, throwing you to the side.
You walked upstairs, your arousal leaking onto your panties forming a wet patch. You took your time getting up there scared for what was in store.
“Hurry the fuck up Y/N!” He yelled, causing you to jump.

Other!Cody one-shot
"There is something in the woods Heatwave, something powerful but benevolent. Even as a man of science, I can't deny that some things are out of our reach, and we should just follow our gut when dealing with them." Doc said to the visiting bots, giving Francine a scrap of fine cloth and an offering of bread to take into the woods.
She left the house and found a rock in an untouched part of the wood. She put it in a tree, out of reach of most ground predators and prey. "Please, could this offering go to you looking after the bots too? They may not understand why we do this, but they aren't of this world. Thank you for upholding your end of the Burns' bargain."
She watched a vine slide into the tree, a sign that the offering had been accepted. Frankie nodded respectfully before walking back to the house, the walk back noticeably free of brambles and tree roots.
Arachnid was not having a good week. She had gotten caught in a storm in her helicopter mode and crashed on a remote island. Luckily, there was plenty of energon to mine and some trophies to hunt. She didn't know that there were still Rescue Bots alive and in service, but she wanted to make a trophy out of each one. And that human too, the short one that reminded her of Jack. He gave off an interesting EM field. She wanted to snuff it out herself.
She made a den in a cave far into the woods, making a plan to lure the boy away when the ancient bots weren't looking.
She tripped over a root and crashed into yet another tree. The ground barely held her weight, causing her to slide and slip into trees and into holes. She had already had to rip vines and roots out of her claws and feet, the roots and tendrils sliding deep inside her plating.
She screeched and pulled the seedlings threatening to destroy her shoulders with a painful yank.
She sees something flit in front of her, and when she looks up again, the woods look different. Thicker. She pushes through, eventually making it through to the tree line, just half a mile from her prey. A sleepy firehouse.
It smelled like energon.
She peeked through the windows to see four shiny, brightly colored vehicles parked in the garage. So the rumors were true.
There were Rescue Bots in Maine.
Time to hunt. But first, a warm up.
Chief Charlie Burns had a problem.
Three hikers had disappeared in under 12 hours, each in a puddle of blood.
That, along with metal claws captured on some wildlife cameras, posed a very grim picture of what was in the woods.
Less than 24 hours later, Arachnid is spotted in the woods by Doc Greene.
And 36 hours after the first hiker went missing, she struck.
Heatwave didn't have time to tell Cody anything except run. He had chosen to sleep in the garage that night, and now there was no time to bring him to the rest of his family.
He blocked off the elevator, woke up the rest of the Burns, and had Blades take them into town.
Arachnid had cut power to the firehouse, the backup generator, too.
He just hoped that the three of them would be enough to hold her off until help arrived.
He wasn't stupid. It was likely that Blades would be the only surviving rescue bot after tonight. But they were going to try their damndest to make sure the island didn't become a slaughterhouse.
She was far stronger than they ever thought she would be, and they had no choice but to run.
"RESCUE BOTS, GET TO THE WOODS!" Heatwave screamed, running through the busted garage doors. They had managed to pin her down with the goo cannons, but they wouldn't hold for long.
The three of them split up once they got to the tree line, the pissed off spider screaming after them.
The woods seemed to clear a path for each of the bots, the ground even and the brambles thin.
Cody ran through the forest, Heatwave's orders to just run echoing in his mind. As soon as he crossed the tree line, his mother found him. She inflated his lungs bigger and encouraged him to run faster and faster. His legs caught on some brambles, and his knees inverted painlessly, a sign to run faster, to shelter with her.
But first, he has to make it to her sanctuary on his own. She will clear a path for him, but he has to follow it.
He broke through the trees and found a branch in the path. He knew one would spit him out at the start, and one would lead him to his mother's safe embrace. He chooses a path, confident in his decision.
Meanwhile, every predator, animal, bush, and tree leaped into Arachnid's way, pulling at her plating and burrowing into her protoform with the ferocity of an enraged mother defending her children.
The more she tried to run, the more the Lady of the woods smiled. Arachnid had unknowingly given the Lady the perfect gift to give to the kind and dedicated visitors that had guarded her domain so well.
With a wave of her hand, the Lady's preparation of her gift began. Enough vines and roots tangled around Arachnid that they started growing inside her, tearing her limb from limb from the inside out.
Her plating is pried off around her neck, wrists, and legs, and the vines start to constrict, cutting off energon flow to each of the Lady's chosen limbs. The vines started to drag Arachnid away as she screamed, and the forest warped around her. They were brought to the Lady's favorite clearing, the rocks already shifting into a bowl for the wringing monster.
The Lady of the Forest is a beautiful woman, her body plumb and soft, fed by a protected forest that has never known blight. She hunched over the now dead spider, her energon draining into a massive carved rock. She ate some bread, and the girl living on the mountain left her. She was a sucker for mortal food, and the local baker in town makes such good bread.
Cody sat on a short cliff a little ways away, not a scratch on him. He's chatting about the bots to the Lady while she does something to make a crystal harden inside the bowl of rock. She picks it up and writes a note to the strange metal creatures, who are incredibly far from home yet, brought their God-King with them on a crusade against others like the spider she was currently draining. She had had to chase off a few strange purple vehicles, too, throwing them into the ocean or dragging them into the forest as soon as she could lure them with false energon readings.
She looked up at the sky, and realized the entire afternoon had gone by in a blink. She points this out to her boy, the child that had defied all attempts to hide his true nature, ever since he was a toddler.
Her son.
He walks into the tree line and is spit out at the park, his family frantically looking for him. Chase finds him and chastises him for wandering around town on his own.
She shook a few pinecones out of the pine trees for Charlie to find. She knows he misses her, and she knows he would love her little moment of sass. Charlie picked up one of her pinecones and put it back into the tree.
It wasn't a proposal, but the Lady was pleased that he remembered what she had taught him.
The bots return to the firehouse to find the garage doors smeared with energon.
A heap of twisted and bent purple metal was on their doorstep, tied together with a native bush growing through it. A pair of clawed hands were tied with ivy to the station bell, the fingers covered in rusty red blood. Charlie was only able to process the sight for all of ten seconds before his phone rang.
The bodies of all three hikers were found in a ditch just in the treeline by the park. They were each wrapped in a shroud made of pieces of cloth knotted and sewn together with abnormally strong spider webbing.
In a carved stone bowl on the back door, a few crystals of unrefined energon rest along with a note written on an old food wrapper in a fancy, looping script. It's in the bot's native language, the words angular, even with the cursive writing.
It thanked them for watching over the woods and promised them safety from anything that does them harm while living on Griffin Rock. All they need to do is make it to the tree line. It also has instructions on the kinds of offerings she prefers, and a few traditions she likes. All and all, a very nice note.
Later on, she talks with Optimus in his dreams.
"Well, you get along well with my son." She said, taking a sip of her tea.
"Your son?" Optimus asked, confused.
"His father wanted another child, and I was willing to accept his generous offering."
"What did he offer?" Optimus asked, his curiosity peaked.
"The ashes of the stillborn that led to his marriage falling apart. The mother of four out of the five Burns kids still lives, just left my embrace. He had to be willing to let go of their failed relationship and grieve for his loss properly before I would give him another. And another I did give. I am a shape-shifter, after all, and in his eyes, his next fling bore a child and abandoned it to him. Cody was never abandoned, I just had to return to my forest. Cody will live decades past his siblings, past a normal lifespan. His life will still be a blink of an eye to you, but know that I have plans to fold him back into the forest before too long. He will never be fully human."
Optimus nodded, her words making perfect sense. He woke up, and realized that he had scheduled a visit to Griffin Rock that day. He made a point in his mind to speak to Cody privately.
Now that it's been pointed out to him, Optimus can't stop seeing pointed ears and insect segmentation on Cody's belly, along with the way he practically breathes in water and never, ever slips while climbing a tree or cliff face.
It was a beautiful day, and Cody had wanted to go into the woods to talk. Optimus swore he saw Cody's feet twist backward when sitting on the narrow rock ledge, within reach of Optimus's heads, while also at a height he could look into his eyes effortlessly.
Before they could properly talk, Optimus got a call from Heatwave.
They found the rest of Arachnid's body, with a note.
In it, the Lady acknowledged him as a God-King and referred to him as such.
The body is drained of energon, with promises of a new, easily harvested energon stockpile showing up soon, as soon as the forest figures out how to replicate the substance in bigger amounts. She's close, and wrapped in fine cloth is an energon crystal that is in its most pure form, a brilliant blue color.
Optimus did what was only logical. He bought a ream of all natural paper from a small artist, and wrote a well thought out response and mailed it to the Burns, knowing that they would most likely know how to get it to the Lady.
He got a text from Chief saying that when they received it, Cody got one of his knowing smiles on his face and disappeared for three hours, coming back streaked with mud and a message to offer Optimus a thank you.
And so started the weirdest pen pals this side of the galaxy, with Cody as the middleman. It's said that Optimus still sends letters addressed to the firehouse, and the Rescue crew that took over for the Burns family after they retired still take them to Cody, who had mysteriously stopped aging past thirty a few decades back. You can still see him guiding lost hikers out of the woods, picking up trash, and hanging out with the bots on their days off. Don't be shy, say hello to him if you see him.
Charlie, Ann, and Doc Greene are all buried within a few feet from each other, friends until their deaths by natural causes. Kade is buried next to his father. He died on the job in his early forties, and Dani quit shortly after and moved to Jasper, Nevada with her fiancée. She posts photos with Miko and Bulkhead to this day, enjoying an early retirement. Graham is a well known architect, contracted to design bot and human friendly spaces for major cities and small communities alike.
The Lady is still happy in her forest, always on the lookout for anything malevolent lurking in her domain, and enjoying Optimus's letters with some milk and bread.

Grace of Color
Confessions to a Void V
TW: Mysophobia, OCD
If you get something from this story, consider reading the other stories in this series. Thank you for your time.
Dull yellows of smoke stained walls. Sickly fuzzy greens of mold’s incursions upon the cracks of the bathroom. Humming and buzzing of devices within and without. An apartment barely affordable yet never maintained. The Hermit awoke to this scene once more, inhaling the clean aroma of bleach as she took her first waking breaths. She rolled over to look at the clock hanging on the wall. It was a few hours past midnight. Despite the night, light flooded through the half-closed blinds. Each spire and skyscraper of the city advanced its goal to pollute the once dark, black, beautiful sky with filthy stone gray.
Pearlescent shine of insect wings. Brown spots of blood stains on the once pure white of the sink’s ceramic. No matter how much she worked to be rid of them, the colors remained. Purifying blacks and whites muddled and ruined. Her scrubbing and cleaning agents could not remedy the contamination of the building, of the wider world, and so she was left to merely treat the symptoms. Each swatting produced a new speck on the surfaces of her home. The drains were host to a Sisyphean battle against an army of pests.
Oozing red of pimples sparsely populating her face. In the mirror stood a disheveled figure clad in black clothing and latex gloves. Had she the ability to mentally remove herself from the situation, to observe from afar, the Hermit might consider it ironic how dirty she felt despite her dedicated, ritualistic cleaning. Absorbed in the moment, this ironic nature was lost upon her. Even if it had been apparent she would find little humor. She tossed her gloves into the waste bin and washed her hands until they were rubbed raw. The snap of a new pair of gloves clinging to skin. Rustling of cloth as she placed a sick mask on her face. Empty kitchen sink, lights turned off. She wasn’t sure how much water she should bring. The door thudded behind her as she left with no keys. She turned her back to the chipped wooden door and began climbing down the grimy stairs. There are nights where one wishes nothing more than to escape.
Gray of wet concrete. Gray of tall buildings. Gray of gravel between train tracks. She and a few others boarded the tram westbound. Lone figures standing at opposite ends of the car. No words exchanged to pollute the air. Fearing the possibility of pests infesting the seats, she clung to the poles with her gloved hands. Chiseled stone and faded graffiti to her right, meager crowd of speeding cars to her left. The rumbling of the tram slowing at each platform, one by one the passengers thinned out. Decrepit and condemned buildings faded to brightly lit office buildings and expensive apartments. Eventually she was left alone. An hour passed, the bell sounded and a recording notified her of the final stop.
Quiet contact of shoes on asphalt. Dark sky penetrated by the glow of sunrise. The Hermit searched for something she was not at all sure was there; a semblance of purity she could not find in the festering city. The thought crossed her mind that she might merely be looking for a place to rest. She abandoned that thought in hope of hope. Gray of tall buildings faded into suburbia. Uniform green of grass cut short in vanity, showing the first signs of pale dying yellow. Perfect facades of identical homes, various shades of cream and off-white. Television screens dancing through the open blinds of windows.
Winding paths and picket fences. Open garages from which music flowed, occupied by one or two people. Each home seemed to be its own island, each vehicle a passing ship. The streets wound like tentacles into cul de sacs and further stretches miles long. The Hermit recalled hearing once that to walk the circumference of the city of Ur would take an entire day. She wondered if Ur felt as dead as this place. The music seemed remote now.
Barren land occupied by machines and stockpiles of building supplies. Clear plastics and crushed cans littering the wayside. Sidestepping vehicles speeding toward her as sidewalk faded into grass. Stink of roadkill in the heat of the beating sun. Her pace slowed as the sun moved overhead, feet aching terribly. She could almost feel the ultraviolet rays penetrate her skin. She pulled her shirt further over her wrists. Foliage cleared and clanging of construction coming from afar, there was little refuge for a wanderer. No choice but to continue, to search for a place more hospitable.
Sun in her eyes, the Hermit continued on. Asphalt turned to gravel. Gravel turned to dirt. Browns and grays dusting her legs and shoes. Fields of feed destined for the mouths of tortured livestock. She thought of the massive buildings in the distance housing hoards of poultry and dairy cows, or the large fans situated within those buildings holding hogs destined to become pork. Farmhouses dotted the landscape accompanied by glinting silos and toppled wooden barns. Massive dark shadows crossed the path and fields as clouds passed overhead. Dry mouth and chapped lips. Complaining rumbles from an empty stomach. Skin red and flaking on the few inches of exposed body. Exhaustion causing the vessel to break down.
Trailside litter gave way to gold of wheat swaying in the wind and crimson of falling leaves. Distant droning of cicadas. Trickling of clear streams sustaining hundreds, maybe thousands, which in turn sustained many more. Staring at the foliage no doubt touched by hundreds of aphids and other insects, the Hermit reached for that golden wheat, feeling nothing through her gloves. She held her hand still, temporarily satisfied by the sensation of wheat grains between her fingers. Hesitantly she removed her gloves, stuffing them into her pockets, and brushing her hands against the flowing fields, which dusted her fingertips. No matter how much she had tried to be rid of color, it had remained.
Twilight’s embrace and cooling air. Heavy eyelids obscuring the darkening sky. Nonetheless, the Hermit wearily tilted her head upward. Muddled gray of light pollution, though visible from afar, lay far east of there. The sky here gave way to shining stars on the backdrop of blackish deep blue. Meteors danced across the stars and Void alike, ephemeral streaks of clean white fading just as quickly as they appeared. Purifying black and white joined by the tentative grace of color. Blades of grass tickling her now bare feet.
Dampness of meadow pressing against her back. Droning of cicadas ceased, a symphony of crickets taking its place. Rustling of deer and rabbits and creatures of predation. The scent of bleach warded them off. She felt at those blades of grass, now wet with dew.
Purifying black. The Hermit thought she may have found a place to rest.

hi bb! could I get a cute zach x reader fic? you can take this in whichever way you like but I was thinking some fluff like a movie night at Zach's or he teaches the reader to play video games? you can do it either way/come up with something of your own too! xxx
Slow Down; Zach Herron
a/n: hope you like it, queen!! 💘
You knocked gently on your boyfriend’s front door, feeling insecure in your leggings, your sweatshirt, and sneakers. You’d been to the boy’s house before, but this was still only your second time, and you’d never dressed so casually in front of Zach. Your relationship was still fresh- only 8 dates had happened so far- so you were still holding back parts of yourself you were afraid of him seeing. The lazy, messy part of you that some guys were turned off by.
You wrung the sleeve of your sweatshirt between your fingers. The door opened a moment after you knocked, drawing your eyes from your feet. Jonah, tall as a tree, stared down at you, a sleepy smile growing to his dark features.
“Hey, Y/N, good to see you.” Jonah swept an arm through the air and you walked into it’s path.
The house was noisy, as per usual. Lights were on all over, Corbyn and Jack were shouting over the shooting noises of a video game on the tv, music was streaming from the Bluetooth speakers, Tessa sat at the kitchen island. Daniel was probably out in his studio, and his brothers were strewn around the living room, watching Corbyn and Jack beat each other.
You felt so out of place in the group’s familiar Friday routine. Jonah could tell, harboring the same feeling of social anxiety, and gently touched your elbow.
“I’ll go get him, okay?” You’d been in Zach’s room, he must’ve not have been in there, because Jonah walked outside after you nodded.
You busied yourself with removing your sneakers. You squatted and gently set them beside somebody else’s shoes on the rack. You peaked around at the door and shut it all the way. Somebody finally spoke up when you turned back around.
“Oh, hey, Y/N! Come sit,” Corbyn patted the spot next to him on the couch.
“Shit, sorry, we just completely ignored your existence,” Jack added on, laughing into his headset.
“No worries,” you smiled at everybody, carefully stepping over Christian’s legs to sit next to Corbyn.
“How ya doing, Y/N?” Corbyn glanced at you.
You folded your hands. “I’m okay, thanks. How are you?”
Corbyn went to answer when something happened in the video game and everybody yelled. That’s when you noticed Zach making his way across the room. He pushed Christian’s legs out of the way, earning a playful punch to the thigh. You stood up as he did, giggling at the laughter the two boys exchanged.
Zach threw his arms up when he laughed, one of his cutesy quirks that you had learned yet. His hands landed on you- shoulder and hip. He gently pulled you into his chest, your hands moving to his back.
“Hey,” he laughed in your ear, fingers moving to your back, but landing on your mini backpack.
“Hi,” you leaned away. His fingers slid down your shoulder and gently held your fingers.
He tugged you behind him, guiding the two of you to his room. “Sorry I didn’t answer the door. Daniel was having me record something.”
You shrugged, “No worries. I got a warm welcome from everybody.”
Zach sighed, letting go of you to shut the door. You sat on the edge of his bed. He said, “Yeah, they can be overwhelming at first.”
“No!” You disagreed. “They’re all really great. I like the energy.”
Zach smiled at you as he walked over to you. “You look very cuddly.”
Your anxiety settled in your subconscious, no longer a part of your worries. Instead, a blush painted your face. “We have never cuddled before.”
Zach sat beside you, setting a hand on your knee. “We don’t have to.”
“No, I want to,” you assured him, grabbing said hand and squeezing the knuckles. “I know you’re probably used to moving a little faster, but I’m just nervous. I’m sorry.”
Zach shook his head, carefully studying your eyes. He brushed the hair from your face, behind your ears, “I think I need to slow down anyways. With my career and looking back on my past relationships, I think it’ll keep me grounded. You’ll keep me grounded.”
Your stomach whirled with adoration. You found yourself leaning forward and kissing him. It wasn’t your first kiss- actually, it was your second. But it felt like the first. You hoped that feeling would stay.
Zach cupped your cheek, thumb just barely pushing your chin up into him. Your hands found his jaw, fingers molding between his hair. You kissed for a moment longer, and intended to keep going, but someone knocked at the door.
You jumped back from Zach, laughing from your naive fright at the sound. Zach pecked your lips and went to the door.
“Hello?” He opened it towards him, leaning against the door frame.
That was hot.
Jack waved from his side of the door. “Can y’all go pick up the pizza?”
Zach rolled his eyes, huffing. “Really? There’s, like, 10 other people here. Why can’t they?”
“Thought maybe you wanted alone time with your girl,” Jack shrugged. “Also, Jonah and Tessa just left, Daniel is busy, the rest of us are playing a game. Please?”
Zach obviously wasn’t going to argue with his band mate in front of his girl, as jack had put it. So he agreed.
Zach went to the closet as you waited on the bed, picking out a hoodie. He slung it over his head and sat beside you again to put on his shoes. As he did, you told him about something you did earlier that day. He was a good listener and conversation came so well between you two.
Zach stood up, offering you his hand. He pulled you up, purposefully tugging you close to his chest. He held you by the back and kissed you again. You giggled into his mouth, feeling his fingers squirm against your sweatshirt. He pulled away, to your disappointment, and looked at your sweatshirt with furrowed brows.
“No, this won’t do,” he tugged at the hem of your sweatshirt.
You looked at him with utter confusion, “Huh?”
He walked back to his closet, voice echoing from inside. “If you’re gonna be my girl, you gotta wear my sweatshirt.”
He settled back in front of you, holding out the hoodie.
You carefully grabbed it. “Is that you asking me to be your girlfriend?”
Zach tipped his head at the sweatshirt, “Is that you saying yes?”
You answered by taking off what you had on and replacing it with a hoodie that the The Invitation Tour logo on it. You followed Zach out the living room again and sat down on the floor to put on your sneakers while he found his keys. He helped you off the floor, like in his room, and led you to the garage.
He opened your door for you like a gentleman, passing by with a sweet kiss. You let out a deep breath once you were settled in the seat, feeling a weight of emotions in your stomach.
Zach got in and then you guys were gone. The pizza place was ten minutes away, but they didn’t offer delivery because of COVID. And, of course, you forgot your mask. Zach just shrugged it off while you felt bad he carried two pizzas and a bag of 2 liters to the car. He put it all in the back seat before joining you again.
On the way back, Zach told you to put on music. Meanwhile, his hand sneakily found it’s way to your knee. He didn’t want to automatically place it upon your thigh, genuinely meaning what he had said earlier.
You wrapped your hand around his, letting your intertwined fingers rest in your lap. When you got back to the house, Zach didn’t allow you to carry anything again. As soon as the pizzas hit the kitchen counter, the boys went ravenous. Even Daniel appeared from his cave to get food.
You stood off to the side, feeling rude just diving in. Corbyn noticed you and automatically spoke up over the crowd of men.
“Hey! Guys, we should probably let Y/N go first,” he motioned to you.
Your face flushed and you felt your neck started to clam up. “Oh, I’m okay.”
Zach, who was caught up getting cups for everyone, sighed. “I’m sorry, I should’ve told them to wait.”
“No, it’s no worries, guys. Please, go ahead,” you insisted again.
Daniel shook his head and handed you a plate, “No, Y/N, go ahead.”
You carefully took it and joined the hoard at the island. You took a single slice of cheese pizza and circled back to your spot.
Christian disagreed with your sad plate, “Oh, cmon. Get another slice, and some chips and a drink.”
You began to protest when they all spoke over each other, insisting. Daniel slapped another slice onto your plate, Corbyn held up two bags of chips in your face, and Zach had already poured your favorite soda into a glass. You tapped on the Dorito’s in Corbyn’s right hand and he poured some on your plate.
You had a restless, wide grin on your face the entire time. “Thank you so much.”
Everybody went back to being savages. Zach quickly got in and got out, leading you back to his room. He crawled across the bed and leaned back on his headboard. You carefully sat beside him as he turned on the television.
“You wanna watch that movie you told me about the other day?” He held out the remote to you.
Your mouth fell agape for a moment and then you nodded. “Yeah- uh, yeah.”
How was he such a good listener?
You found the movie on Netflix and put it on. Zach finished his food quickly, but you ate carefully and slowly. Zach simply layed out on the bed, waiting for you to finish. Once you were done, you stood up from the bed.
Zach paused the movie, “You good?”
“Yeah, I’m fine. Wanna give me your plate?” You held out your hand.
Zach jumped up suddenly, grabbing his plate and yours before walking out.. You caught up to his long-legged strides with protests.
“Zach!” You called after him, tugging on the back of his sweatshirt.
He finally turned around after he set everything in the sink. “Yes?”
You tried to glare at him, but his smile was so sweet, you broke into a grin. “I was gonna take them!”
Zach shrugged. “I got it, babe.”
You lifted a finger to point in his face, but froze when the pet name registered. Your face went red again.
Zach’s innocent smile turned even cheekier- if possible. He kissed your cheek and left you standing there. You followed him to his room, stopping him in the middle of the hallway. You tugged him around to face him, practically launching yourself into his arms as you cupped his jaw and kissed him. He held the curve of your back, leaning into the kiss.
You broke off, breathless, with matching smiles. “Wanna finish the movie?” You jerked your head in the direction of his room.
Zach nodded in a less than calm manner and followed you inside. He shut the door, splaying back in his spot on the bed. You carefully lay beside him, resting your head on his bicep, which he extended out beside him. His hand clasped around your shoulder and tugged you into his side. You got comfortable over the span of a few minutes, at first slightly stiff. When you were in position, your leg was tossed over his, your hands on his chest.
The movie ended and you began another before your breathing evened and your eyes couldn’t keep themselves open. Zach noticed and carefully shut off the lights and tv with the remote. He pulled the blanket at the end of the bed over you.
“Want me to take you home?” He whispered into your ear.
You hummed a disagreement back, curling further into him. “Is that okay?” You sleepily said.
Zach responded by kissing your forehead and mumbling a goodnight.

a new assistant - d.d.
requested: yes! Could you maybe write something about David and a new assistant? After about a month of her working for him, he realizes that he likes her a lot and decides to be distant towards her. One night when they’re alone, she confronts him in his room crying. He tries to apologize and one thing leads to the next and they have a quickie in his room. Maybe almost getting caught?
word count: 1525 warnings: light smut note: this is a little different from the request, but hopefully you still like it!
masterlist
“When can you start?” Natalie asked, a look of desperation in her eyes as her phone beeped for the seventh time during your interview.
“I’m still in the process of unpacking from my move, but honestly, whenever you need me,” you replied.
“How’s tomorrow?” she suggested.
The next morning you pulled into the driveway and took a deep breath before turning your car off. You walked up to the front door and rang the doorbell, feeling anxious.
Natalie opened the door, and was quick to introduce you to the rest of David and the rest of the team.
You grabbed a seat and sat in on their meeting, taking notes on the tasks you needed to finish.
After working a few days, you were out running errands and heading back to David’s house to drop something off quickly.
The lights were out and the front door was locked. You didn’t have a key to his house yet, so you reached into your purse to dig out your phone and call him. In the process of searching for your phone, you dropped the box you were holding, hearing something shatter as the box hit the stone steps.
You let out a loud groan as you crouched down, realizing you had dropped the box of tester perfumes. David needed to pick the next scent to release and had been given five choices, except three of the bottles broke as they hit the ground.
You took a deep breath, trying not to cry as you grabbed your phone to tell David you were here and that the door was locked.
You heard shuffling inside and a couple moments later, the door swung open.
“I’m so sorry,” you immediately apologized. You were holding back tears, feeing horrible for dropping everything.
“Don’t worry about it,” he said, brushing it out. He held his hand out for you to grab and helped you stand up. “We’ll get a new box of samples tomorrow.”
“Are you sure? I feel so bad.” You picked up the box of broken bottles and carried it inside, thankful that there were no glass shards on the steps.
“It’s fine,” David promised you, taking the box from your hands and bringing it into the garage.
“Hey, are you hungry?” he asked as he came back into the living room, and you surprised yourself by nodding. You were planning on picking up something from the frozen section of Trader Joe’s since you didn’t want to cook, and the thought of having someone to eat dinner with sounded nice, especially since you were new to LA and still trying to make friends.
The two of you bonded over Italian takeout, but pretty soon, you were having lunch or dinner together every day. He felt more like your friend than your boss and you liked the fact that you could talk to him about anything. He was a great friend and you found yourself getting dangerously close.
You couldn’t deny that you found him attractive, and you were sure it was clear to everyone around you. But you worked for him and there was no way he would risk ruining the work relationship you two had. After a month of working long hours for David and spending a lot of your time around him, you noticed him start to distance himself from you. He stopped making himself available for meals with you, and you didn’t understand what happened.
One night you were out later than normal running errands, and you pulled on to David’s street. The only car parked in the driveway was David’s Tesla, which was odd considering it was 7pm and his friends were normally over. “Hey, I picked up a box of the new merch samples,” you said, unlocking the front door and stepping into the house. “And Natalie texted me to grab Chipotle, so I have that too.” “Just leave everything in the kitchen,” David shouted from his room, and you let out a sigh. He had been avoiding you for days now and you had no clue why. You set your purse, phone, and the box of merch on the island and decided to bring the Chipotle bag to David. You knocked on his door and pushed it open, poking your head in to see him leaning against his headboard watching TV. “Can I ask you something?” you asked, setting the Chipotle down on his desk, curious as to why he had been avoiding you. “Sure, what’s up?” He grabbed the remote and shut the TV off, turning his attention to you. “Was it something that I did or said?” “What are you talking about?” he asked, clearly confused. “You’ve been ignoring me completely for almost a week. I mean if I’m so bad at my job, why don’t you fire me?” “You’re not bad at your job,” David reassured you. “Actually, you’re great at your job. And that’s not why I’ve been avoiding you.” “So then why are you? Because I sure as hell can’t think of a reason.” “I didn’t want to get too close to you because you work for me. And I’m not sure I can keep our relationship professional.” “What do you mean?” you asked, and instead of answering your question, David stood up from his spot on the bed and walked over to where you were standing. He placed one hand on the small of your back and used the other to tilt your head up. His eyes met yours for a brief moment, seeking your approval. You slightly nodded, and seconds later his lips were on yours. David pulled back, realizing what he had just done. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have done that. We can’t do this. Not when you work for me,” David muttered. “It’s okay,” you promised. “Just kiss me. Again,” you added, standing on your toes and wrapping your arms around his neck. He rested his hands on your lower back and didn’t think twice. David’s lips met yours again and you smiled into the kiss. His lips trailed down your neck as you guided him over to his bed. You pushed him down and straddled his lap. He leaned back and pulled you down with him so you were hovering over him. Your black t-shirt hung low, and David slipped his hands under your shirt to unclasp your bra before pulling your shirt off and sliding your bra off along with it. He took a moment to stare at you. “God, you’re hot,” David whispered under his breath and you could feel yourself blushing at his comment. His lips wrapped around one of your nipples and he gently twisted the other one and you let out a quiet gasp over his action. You wrapped your fingers around the hem of his black t-shirt and pulled it over his head, running your hands down his chest. You dropped your head leaving a trail of kisses from his neck to the top of his sweatpants. David readjusted himself, lifting his hips off the mattress for you to pull his sweats and boxers down. His pants wrapped around his ankles as you continued to straddle him. You brought your head back up to his, your hair falling in front of your face as you leaned down to kiss him. You hovered over David, one hand on the mattress for stability while the other wrapped around his cock. You slid your hand up and down, tightening your grip with every pump. David’s breathing was getting irregular, and you grinded your hips against him, hearing him let out of a low moan. You ducked your head down, wrapping your lips around him. You used both hands to twist near the base as you bobbed your head up and down. David was close to finishing but you both froze as you heard the garage door open. “Shit,” you muttered, sitting up. You scrambled to grab your shirt off the floor, your face flushed. David pulled his blanket over himself as you ran into the kitchen to open the box of merch you had dropped off. You pulled out a few pieces and tried to act like you were doing something productive. “Hello?” Taylor yelled. “Kitchen,” you shouted back. “What’s going on?” she asked, kicking her shoes off and placing them by the front door. “Just sorting through the samples for David’s new line,” you said as she took a seat on the stools. “You’re a terrible liar,” she chuckled, pointing to the shirt you were wearing, before grabbing a handful of pieces from the box to help you out. You glanced down and noticed it was inside out and you had grabbed David’s instead of your own. “Also noticed your bra on the floor of David’s room. Probably should’ve shut his door on your way out,” she added and you felt your face turn red with embarrassment. “Please don’t say anything, to anyone” you begged. “Relax. Your secret’s safe with me,” she promised and you let out a sigh of relief. A couple minutes later, your phone buzzed with a text from David: come back when taylor’s gone. i owe you

Kenzie slips out of her room, quietly closing the door behind her. JJ was still asleep, cuddling into one of Kenzie's pillows with the green dinosaur squishmallow John B. gifted Kenzie last year under one arm. He looked so peaceful that Kenzie couldn't bring herself to kick him out, even though it was already eight in the morning, and she could hear her dad downstairs making breakfast.
"Does JJ want eggs?" Shoupe asks, back turned towards Kenzie when she enters the kitchen. His daughter stops in her tracks and stares at his back. How the hell did he know? Kenzie made sure that everything was put away and that they stayed quiet all night. "You're not as sneaky as you let yourself believe, Z," Victor points out and looks at his daughter with a knowing smirk.
"Dad, I'm so sorry," Kenzie starts to apologize, knowing she broke one of her dad's rules. Again. No boys were allowed to have sleepovers until after she was eighteen.
"Don't apologize. I've known since the first night. If I wanted to get you in trouble, I would have," Shoupe points out, turning back to the scrambled eggs in the pan. "You're too good to that boy, you know?"
Kenzie slides into a barstool and leans against the counter. She rolls her eyes and protests, "He just needs some extra love. You've seen the deadbeat dad he got stuck with."
"I know. I'm just giving you shit. Now, does JJ like his eggs scrambled or over easy?" Kenzie shrugs. "You're best friends, and you don't know how he takes his eggs? Are you even best friends?" Victor jokes.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know I had to know his damn egg order to be considered best friends. I'll demote us to acquaintances again," McKenzie sasses with a roll of her eyes. Shoupe laughs at her and dishes his eggs onto a plate.
"You didn't want any, did you?" He asks as he takes his place next to Kenzie at the kitchen island. Kenzie shakes her head. She wasn't the biggest fan of eggs unless she was low on protein. If they had more cheese than egg, she would eat them, but the Shoupe household was out of cheese at the moment. Which Kenzie considered a crime punishable by death. "Didn't get any sleep last night?" Kenzie shakes her head again as Shoupe's phone starts to ring. He sighs when he sees the caller and answers it. McKenzie slips off her barstool and goes to grab a breakfast shake from the fridge while her dad gets called in early for work.
He sighs and hangs up, looking at McKenzie. "I have to get going, Z. I'll see you later tonight?" Kenzie agrees and hugs her dad goodbye. He leaves the house with his plate of eggs and his ceramic coffee mug. Victor had already gotten dressed and everything he needed for his workday when he decided he had enough time for breakfast. Which, obviously, got cut short.
Kenzie moves to the living room couch and sits on the far end, drinking her shake and scrolling through social media absentmindedly while she thinks about her plans for the day. She should probably clean up her bedroom, or she could forget that and go play with the Pouges on the water.
She glances up from her phone when JJ sneaks downstairs, looking around for the deputy. "He's already at work, Maybank," Kenzie calls up, causing the boy to jump. She giggles and waves him over. JJ jogs over and jumps on the couch next to her. "Good morning, Sleeping Beauty."
JJ rolls his eyes and slaps Kenzie's phone out of her hands. "What the hell, JJ?"
"I wanted your attention," JJ shrugs, smiling at her innocently. "The fuckers have work today, so it's just you and me until three. So, what are the plans?" JJ asks, heading tilting. Kenzie rolls her eyes and picks her phone up from the ground.
"Who said I wanted to hang out with you?" Kenzie jokes. JJ pouts and crosses his arms like a child throwing a tantrum. "I'm kidding, J." Kenzie laughs, pushing JJ's arm lightly. "I thought that I should clean my room but would rather play games," Kenzie suggests.
"I say we play games all day," JJ inputs, causing Kenzie to giggle. Her eyes catch the Hello Kitty band-aid still stuck on his chin, heightening her giggles into a real laugh. "What?" JJ asks, forgetting the bandaid is stuck there.
"You have a kitty on your face," She laughs. JJ's hand slaps the plaster and starts to giggle as well. "You look so stupid," Kenzie continues to laugh as JJ claws the Hello Kitty off of his face.
"You're the one who forced me to wear it last night," JJ exclaims, rolling up the bloody band-aid and tossing it to the floor. "What's the plan, Ken?" He asks, trying to forget the way his heart melted when Kenzie kissed the wound late last night. It didn't mean anything - to either of them - but it was such an innocently sweet thing Kenzie always did to make JJ feel a little bit better.
McKenzie rolls her eyes, picks up JJ's disgusting plaster between two fingers, and takes it to the kitchen trash can. "I'm always picking up after you disgusting idiots," Kenzie says, shaking her head as she walks back to the living room. JJ just smiles a Cheshire cat-type smile as he lounges on the couch. "Pick a game, Loser," Kenzie instructs as she plops down next to him.
JJ starts up her game system and scrolls through her options before landing on a first-person shooter he knew he'd beat Kenzie at. As she takes the remote, JJ grabs her legs and sets them on his own. She squeals slightly as she gets pulled closer to him, practically sitting in his lap. When given a questioning look from Kenzie, he just shrugs and starts the game. He just needed a little extra physical love this morning.
The two yell and push each other when the opposite kills them during their numerous rounds. Kenzie's tongue sticks out the corner of her mouth as she concentrates on the game in front of her. JJ takes notice when he glances over at her.
Kenzie's hunched over, feet planted firmly on the ground instead of over his legs after he brutally killed her. The controller is clutched tightly in her hands as if the pressure she hit the buttons with would make the attacks hit JJ harder. Her tongue pokes out, and her eyes squint at the screen in concentration. JJ could feel his heart pick up in pace as a smirk spreads across McKenzie's face.
"Bomb! Headshot, Maybank," Kenzie cheers, jumping up from her seat and doing a small victory dance in front of JJ. He forces the smile that creeps across his face down as Kenzie continues to dance. She was so happy that she won against JJ that she was practically glowing. Her smile spread so far across her face that her chin dimple appears.
At this point, JJ knew there was something else besides beers and not eating causing his upset stomach. But it didn't hit him until Kenzie turned to face him, smiling wide and eyes bright, that the feeling came up, and he felt like he needed to throw up. Kenzie was one of the most beautiful people JJ's ever had the pleasure to have in his life. Both inside and out. But was he going to confront these feelings? He's JJ Maybank. Of course he won't.
"I let you win," JJ pouts, crossing his arms and leaning back into the couch. Kenzie giggles and jumps on the couch next to him, knees tucked under her. JJ rolls his head to the side and glares at Kenzie. Her eyes glisten with victory as she stares back at the boy.
"You didn't let me win; you got distracted," Kenzie points out. She obviously saw JJ staring and used that to her advantage. He wasn't as sneaky as he liked to think he was. Drool was practically flooding out of his mouth as he looked her over. Kenzie was a little flattered that JJ got distracted by her, but it also made her stomach clench.
"Yeah? By what, Ken?" JJ prompts, sitting up so he's even with Kenzie. Something was yelling at him to lean in, to make a move on his best friend. JJ knew he shouldn't, but the urge to kiss those pretty pink lips grows the longer he looks at them.
"My unfathomable beauty," Kenzie teases, leaning closer to JJ unconsciously. JJ smirks and glances down at Kenzie's lips again. They just looked so fucking kissable right now. Kenzie's tongue pokes out and licks the soft skin, egging JJ on more.
Kenzie can feel JJ's breath fan across her face as they slowly gravitate towards each other. This was wrong on so many different levels. They were best friends, and there was the no-Pouge-on-Pouge macking rule. But being this close and this intimate was causing both teens to get upset stomachs and throw caution to the wind.
The garage door swings open harshly, and the deputy follows soon after, carrying his empty dishes and looking around frantically for something. Kenzie jumps to the opposite side of the couch while JJ leans back into the soft sofa cushions casually. As if they weren't about to kiss.
"What are you looking for, Dad?" Kenzie asks, scratching the back of her neck. Shoupe takes one look at the teens and rolls his eyes. They looked like love-sick puppies who longed for the other's sole attention.
"I got to the station and realized I left my badge at home. Have you seen it?" Victor asks, still looking in the kitchen.
"You didn't have it this morning, so it's probably still upstairs, in your room, on your dresser," Kenzie says, knowing exactly where Shoupe keeps his personal belongings. He sighs out a thank you and goes to retrieve it. The teens stay silent and avoid all eye contact.
This had got to be the most embarrassing situation Kenzie has ever been in. It was getting hotter in the room by the second, and Kenzie and JJ continue to ignore the other's presence in stiff silence.
Kenzie's dad yells down that he's found as he trots down the stairs. He places a quick kiss on his daughter's head and eyes JJ suspiciously before bidding his goodbyes and running out the door. The friends continue to sit in silence, staring at the floor, before Kenzie breaks the silence.
"Are we going to talk..."
"No," JJ answers curtly and picks up a remote. "Let's just play." Kenzie agrees silently and goes back to fighting JJ, who won't let up on the poor girl.
