It is July 17th, which is the day I published my first concepts for Lonertale! The story has evolved a crap-ton over the years and I'm so excited to share its tale!

Some 4 am sketches!  Sketch to the left is LonerTale paps ( @lonertale / @blvdcharms )  Then to the right is my new bb Wattle given to me by @thelexinomicon , I can’t thank you enough man I love him so sobs For those who don’t know Wattle is inspired off the Golden Wattle tree native to south-eastern Australia and so of course I had to make this bb mine (I’m Aussie haha!) I love him so sobsss

Meet Papyrus!

Papyrus Serif Gaster is one of the sons of Doctor Gaster and Merriweather. He is the youngest brother to Sans- that was until the ambush tragedy happened, losing both him and his mother. Escaping the village with his father, they were taken in and watched over by Queen Toriel and the royal nurses. Declaring that he and Gaster were guests to the Capitol, Toriel and Asgore sought the opportunity to pair up the lifelong friendship between Asriel and Papyrus- Gaster also approved of the notion given that he would be returning to his work as a scientist and wouldn’t be able to be around for Papyrus a lot of the time like he used to be. After coming to terms with his losses, it made it easier for Papyrus to befriend Asriel; they would ultimately become nearly inseparable. Growing up together, they would often run across the palace playing with whatever they had. Once they were old enough, Asgore was lenient enough to allow the boys to begin their combat and magic training. Of course, this would be when they’d begin their training alongside Undyne and their friendship trio would spark. Unbeknownst to everyone, Papyrus would turn out to be a pretty tough monster with powers that pack a punch; but the tall skeleton’s big heart was just as flourishing as his skill in combat! As things escalate to war, everyone begins to worry for the future, but Papyrus would be around to be the lantern of hope and optimism for everyone.

Welcome To The Lonertale Blog

Lonertale is an Undertale alternate universe where the war between humans and monster is vaguely post-poned from ancient times to what appears to be a medieval-like era. Although the "Loner" prefix seems like an oxymoron, it implies the internal and/or external struggles of the AU's main characters.

Lonertale is a coming of age story among many of Undertale’s original characters in a different fashion. The audience follows the adventures of Asriel, Papyrus, Undyne, Alphys, and a skeleton-amalgamate, Hypergade, as they grow up preparing themselves for war that is soon to blossom. As situations grow dire, these young adults aim to find a last ditch effort for salvation before the humans succeed and destroy everything they aim to protect.

Content Warning

The story may include themes such as foul language, violence, death, and prejudice. The story takes place in a medieval-like time period. However, be mindful that there will be inconsistencies with some material (such as clothing and technological advancements) unrealistic to real-world history. This is meant to aid in telling the story that was imagined by the creator.

You are now able to view Lonertale's character reference for Asriel, Asgore, Toriel, Gaster, and Papyrus. At this time, I have no idea when the second wave will happen. I still need to complete a few characters in order for it to happen, but when they are complete, I'll be more than happy to start publishing them!
