Hey, was ist deine Lieblings the Clone Wars folge?👀
"What is your favorite The Clone Wars Episode?"
Probably the whole Citadel Arc, especially the last episode of it. I love the planet Lola Sayu and i also that there are a lot of Jedi involved that you dont normally see like Adi Gallia or Sassea Tiin.
I also love the Umbara Arc and for some reason the episode where Eeth Koth gets captured by Grievous.

THE UNSPOKEN HISTORY OF THE DYNAMIC DOMINO DUO
TCWs had some timeline fuckery, cos well, it wasn't always linear and you couldn't always tell when or where something happened, and who saw it.
But since I've got a bit of a list of chronology, lemme give you the fun facts about the Domino Duo, Fives and Echo.
THE DOMINO DUO were... ... Adopted into the 501st during the Malevolence Crisis--thus would've definitely encountered the 104th. ... Present for Sergeant Denal, Rex's early season squadmate, and were around during the Battle of Deveron (Thus Denal's Death and the intro of Cad Bane). ... The Battle of Orto Plutonia, and the first appearance of Riyo Chuchi. ... The Zillo Beast ... The Second Campaign of Geonosis ... Saleucami (Though they weren't on the ground with Rex's Squad at the time) ... Could be argued that they were undergoing Arc Trooper training during the Battle of Sullust and missed the introduction of Savage.
Point is, the Domino Duo were in the 501st for a Good year before Lola Sayu (where Echo was presumed dead).
DOMINO SURVIVOR (Fives) was Around but Not Directly Present For... ... the Battle of Onderan (intro of Saw Guerra) ... Zygerria ... Kenobi's Fake Assassination ... Jedi Bombing Crisis
Fives did not make it a full "year" after Echo.

OC Sunday: Cerra Kilian, your friendly neighborhood traitor to the Empire
Whether you need to repair a hyperdrive, infiltrate an Imperial base, or get absolutely kriffed up in the entertainment district, Cerra is your girl. GAR supply officer, turned deserter, turned full-time rebel. With a seemingly endless array of unsavory contacts and absolutely no moral qualms about sourcing supplies via questionable means, Cerra can get whatever you need, from expired ration bars to decommissioned GAR medical equipment. All that, and the odds of her deciding to adopt you are only about 60%!
Look at me. I’m the captain big sister now. Art by me 🩵
More info below the cut! Content warning for non-descriptive violence and spoilers for Stars Beyond Number.

Skin: brown

Personal history
Cerra was born on Corellia, the daughter of Lorn and Vianne Kilian. Vianne, her mother, had joined the Corellian Military Defense force as a mechanic, as it was one of the only avenues to escape the Corellian underworld slums where she was born. She eventually married Lorn, whose family had a longstanding tradition of service in the CMDF.
Cerra joined the CMDF at the age of sixteen, serving as a supply officer for ten years before the outbreak of the Clone Wars. At that time, the CMDF was absorbed into the Grand Army of the Republic, and Cerra was assigned to the 501st Legion, serving under General Anakin Skywalker. While serving as supply officer on the Resolute, Cerra became friends with Captain Rex, Jesse, and Kix, along with many other clones in the 501st and beyond.
It is also where she first met Fives, who visited the supply office weekly to submit requests for candy. Every single request was denied, and eventually, Cerra ordered a crate of sweets to be delivered with her personal supplies, then passed it on to Fives, who distributed it to the entire battalion. She never told Fives that she’d paid for it, but he figured it out (of course). After the Battle of Kamino, Fives stopped by the supply office one last time before he shipped out for ARC training. That was the first time Cerra kissed him.
When the Resolute was destroyed at the Battle of Sullust, Cerra was on the bridge. She helped as many wounded as she could into the escape pods, including Admiral Wullf Yularen as well as several clones. She was on her way to her own escape pod when she was caught in an explosion and hit in the leg by shrapnel. A shiny she’d helped into a different escape pod that was at maximum capacity jumped out and dragged her inside, then launched the pod, staying behind on the Resolute and sacrificing his life to save her. She never knew who he was, so she had a blank Phase 2 helmet added to the tattoo sleeve on her left arm when she’d recovered from her injuries.
After Sullust, Cerra was reassigned to a different unit, serving on the Ro-ti-Mundi until the Battle of Coruscant. She stayed in touch with her friends in the 501st, taking every opportunity to spend time with them whenever leave schedules permitted. In particular, she and Fives commed each other as frequently as possible, though his ARC duties prevented them from seeing each other again until just after his mission to Lola Sayu, where Echo was presumed dead. At that point, Fives and Cerra began a relationship.
The Battle of Umbara was the turning point for the pair. The treachery of Pong Krell shook Fives’s faith in the Jedi as well as the Republic, and he told Cerra that their lives were too short and too uncertain not to seize their chance at happiness while they could. He asked her to marry him, proposing with a ring he’d carved out of plastoid armor. Despite the ban on clone marriages, Cerra didn’t hesitate, and the two married in secret. When she met Tup after Umbara, she forged a close bond with him and quickly came to see him as a younger brother. He was the only witness to Fives and Cerra’s marriage, and the only person who ever knew about it.
And then came the Battle of Ringo Vinda.
In the months following Fives and Tup’s deaths, Cerra threw herself into working with Kix to try to discover what had happened. They were close to a breakthrough when Kix disappeared. Utterly disillusioned, with her faith in the Republic and the GAR shattered, Cerra abandoned her post following the Battle of Coruscant.
Her family did not understand. Her parents felt that she had disgraced the family by deserting, and after a disastrous visit home to Corellia, Cerra returned to Coruscant and disappeared into the underworld.
Until one day, several weeks after the fall of the Republic, Rex knocked on her door.
Personality
Fiercely loyal, sarcastic, competent (with a healthy dose of imposter syndrome), protective to a fault. Once Cerra decides she likes someone, she adopts them. They’re hers now. She's keeping them. And she’ll make sure everybody else in the group is nice to them, too—or else. Despite being an only child, she has strong older sister energy, which occasionally causes her to clash with the people she cares about.
She is pathologically opposed to displaying negative emotions in a healthy way; if she’s feeling anger or grief, she’s likely to shut down or hide rather than talk about it. After Fives’s death, she became withdrawn and reticent, not even trusting her closest friends with all of her secrets. But underneath her durasteel-reinforced-with-beskar walls, the same fierce, loyal heart still beats.
---
You can read about Cerra’s adventures in my Tup x Reader short fic “Do It Again” (NSFW), and you can find out what happened after Rex knocked on her door in my complete longfic Stars Beyond Number (sequel in progress but will not be posted until it is fully written). You can read her GAR Datafile here.

More Than Anything
Prompt Day 19 (alt): Reconnecting
Pairing: Fives/Echo
Tags & Warnings: angst, comfort, post-Skako Minor Echo
Note: Who doesn't love a Fives and Echo reunion? It's short, but I made myself cry with this one. You're welcome.
Read on AO3
"It's been a while," Fives said with a faltering smile.
Echo didn't smile back. "Yeah. I guess it has."
It had only been six hours since Echo was rescued from the Techno Union and brought onto the Resolute. Fives first saw him in the medbay when he was being checked out and fitted with proper cybernetics. It was a sappy reunion for both of them, but now, alone and standing across from each other in Five's quarters, neither knew what to say or do.
"Do you want to sit?" Fives asked, trying to break the awkward silence. He fumbled around the room and pulled out the chair from his desk. "Oh, maybe this is too hard..."
"Fives," Echo said softly.
Whether on purpose or by accident, Fives didn't hear Echo and continued to move around the room. "What about a cushion?"
"Fives," Echo repeated a little louder.
He still wasn't listening and walked over to the thermostat mounted on the side wall. "Is it too cold in here? I can make it warmer."
Echo sighed, but a broken part of his heart felt reassured by Fives' fussing. "Cyare."
Fives whipped his head around. It had been ages since anyone had called him that, since Echo had called him that, and it caused tears to well up in the corner of his eyes. "Yeah?" he asked, voice cracking with emotion.
Echo sat down on the edge of Fives' bunk, the metal in his new legs squeaking a bit as the joints bended, and patted the open spot next to him. "Sit with me."
Fives crossed the room in two strides and sat down next to Echo. He was still clothed in the red medical garments, so Fives couldn't see what was underneath, but the cybernetic arm, the ports in his skull, and the grey tone of his skin, warred with the last image he had of Echo from before Lola Sayu. It was his Echo, his riduur, but it wasn't the same Echo.
Echo could see the uneasiness in Fives' face and feel the scrutiny in his eyes as they darted around his body, and he grabbed Fives' hand with his flesh one to ground him. "It's okay. I know I don't look the same."
Fives gasped like he was caught in a lie. He forgot how perceptive Echo was and felt horrible for revealing those thoughts to him. "I'm sorry. I didn't– I don't–" he took in a shaky breath. "I missed you so much."
Echo smiled for the first time since he was rescued. "I missed you, too."
"Do you think–" Fives paused, not quite sure of the words to say, but the quiver in his voice was all he needed to convey his deepest feelings. "Do you think we could get to know each other again? Like before?"
Echo took Fives' hand and held it up against his hollowed cheek to feel its warmth. "I want that more than anything in the universe."

Be Alright
Week 7 ~ snowman ~ sunset ~ *Captain Rex* ~
Word Count: 688 Content: grief, self-blame, references to Fives’ death, panic attack, gallows humor, brotherly affection (not cloneshipping; let men be openly and platonically affectionate)
@clone-wars-winter-challenge
Mando’a Guide:
Ori’vod - big brother/older brother
Echo knew where he’d find Rex. Whenever the former captain was on Pabu and he wasn’t right next to Echo, he was either in the Archium or sitting out on a rock by the cove, which is where he found him now.
His eyes were locked on the horizon as the sun barely began to touch the edge of the water. Despite the civilian clothes he wore, he still had the air of an officer; back rigid, feet set apart, hands clasped behind his back.
“Rex?” Echo called from a short distance, not wanting to startle the man so lost in his thoughts.
“Hm?” Rex jumped slightly anyway. “Oh, Echo. Sorry, I didn’t hear you.”
“You’re losing your touch, old man,” Echo chuckled, nudging Rex’s side with his elbow.
“Yeah, alright,” Rex shrugged. “Because you’re so much younger than me?”
“By enough.”
Rex rolled his eyes exaggeratedly. “What did you need?”
Echo eyed his brother for a moment. “Who said I need something?”
Rex shrugged again, his attention returning to the sunset. Being closer, Echo could see the somewhat sad look on his brother’s face.
“Is everything okay?” he couldn’t help but ask.
Rex sighed. “Do you know what today is?”
Echo thought for a moment, his mind filing through for any possible connection. Something pinged in the back of his brain. Oh.
“It’s been six years,” Rex continued. “I should have listened to him. I should’ve—”
“Rex,” Echo said in disbelief. “Are you still blaming yourself for Fives’ death?”
Rex turned his face away.
“It wasn’t your fault,” Echo asserted. “You have to know that.”
“I shouldn’t have left my pistols on that crate and you know it,” Rex nearly snapped. “If I would have just kept them in my holsters—”
“Fives wouldn’t have let you—”
“I should’ve been able to save him!” Rex exploded.
The world around them seemed to still as Rex panted, unable to stop the tears starting to streak down his face.
“Rex…”
“Don’t, Echo,” Rex said, wrapping his arms tightly around his middle. For the first time since Echo had met him, Rex almost looked… small. “I-I already know what you’re going to say. I know you’re right, but I failed him, just like I failed you on Lola Sayu. But I know he’s not coming back. And I can’t ever let myself forget that.”
Echo watched him for a moment, then pulled him into a hug. “You don’t have to forget about him, Rex,” he whispered. “But he wouldn’t want you to torture yourself with his memory. Maker, he’d never want that for you.”
Echo could feel Rex’s body shudder in his arms as his ori’vod let the dam break. He let him, whispering soft words, his hand tracing gentle shapes across his shoulder blades.
He pulled gently at the man until they were sitting side by side against the rocks.
“We talked, you know,” Echo said. “Before the mission. We made a deal. I thought it was just his gallows humor.”
Rex didn’t answer, allowing Echo to continue.
“Said he had a bad feeling about the mission and he wanted to make a deal with me. ‘Only one of us is allowed to die on this mission’, he said. We even shook on it.”
The captain stared at Echo, his disbelief written plainly on his face.
Echo chuckled. “We were worried that if both of us got killed, you’d go on a rampage.”
Rex opened his mouth to argue, but quickly shut it again. Echo was right, as usual. “You tried your damnedest,” he smirked.
Echo looked down at his prosthetics. He waved his scomp at Rex. “Guess it didn’t stick,” he shrugged.
He barked out a laugh that took them both by surprise.
“See?” Echo grinned, nudging at his brother’s arm. “You’re gonna be alright.”
“Yeah,” Rex nodded, feeling the truth in the statement for the first time in a long time.
“Now, come on,” Echo said, groaning as he got to his feet. “Someone promised Omega a trip to Pantora to show her what a ‘snowman’ is.”
Rex took Echo’s proffered hand, letting him haul him up to his feet. “In my defense, you’re the one that was showing her pictures from that mission!”

@eclec-tech You say fun but you chose one of the saddest ones...
Prompt: Kissing away their tears
This could work both ways so I did half as 501st Echo and half as TBB Echo, taking a page from this AMAZING fic by @moonlightwarriorqueen
Warnings: angst, Hurt/Comfort, You break down about the war. Echo misses Fives and has self-depreciating thoughts. Crying.
Fall (TCW&TBB!Echo x Reader)
had to use this song
dividers by @saradika
The night had taken a depressing turn when Echo told you about the fates of the domino squad. He hadn’t expected you to be so sentimental over his fallen brothers, yet lo and behold here you sat crying in his arms.
“How do you handle all of this?” You cried, gasping for little breaths as tears fell uncontrollably from your eyes.
Echo tightened his hold on you and rested his forehead against yours. “Unfortunately we we’re conditioned to withstand a lot of stress.”
This did nothing to quell your sadness.
“I’m so sorry about how the Republic treats you and your Brothers, Echo.”
He gave a humorless laugh, pressing his lips to your temple. “I appreciate the sentiment, cyare, but there is absolutely no need to apologize. You’re genuinely the nicest person I’ve ever met since I was decanted.”
You looked up at him with tears gathering in your lashes. His sad smile fell into a worried expression. So tenderly that you’d never know he was a rambunctious ARC trooper, he pressed a kiss to each tear track on your flushed cheeks. Another sob escaped you at the gesture.
“Now that was supposed to stop the tears.” He teased. “I promise, Cyare, it’ll be alright. After the Lola Sayu mission, we’ll have a long leave. You and I can go somewhere nice and forget about the war for a while, huh?”
You nodded, nuzzling into his warm chest.
You stepped out of the kitchen with two caf mugs and returned to your bedroom.
Echo sat on the edge of the bed facing the wall. You could tell he was fiddling anxiously with his scomp, causing your smile to fade into a frown.
"Echo, baby." you cooed, setting the mugs down and crawling across the bed to hug him from behind. You kissed one of the studs in his scalp. "What's going on in that beautiful mind of yours."
His eyes met yours, and you saw the tears gathering in them.
"Everything, cyare. Just....with the techno union, I had no idea how many brothers were being killed because I knew the plans, and then I wake up and my best friend, is dead and I couldn't have said goodbye to him, and I made you wait all that time thinking I was dead, and--"
"Hey, Hey." you stopped him. "None of that was your fault; you know you can't keep dwelling on it. Somewhere, Fives is smiling, because in the end, you managed to cheat death and get the girl."
You kissed each tear that fell from his eyes, wiping others away with your thumb while he held you close. Perhaps it wasn't the happiest way to start the morning, but you and your Echo were healing from a lifetime of pain.
That mattered the most.

Let’s talk about finale Echo.
This is Clone Wars Echo (pic not mine, do not know artist). Note when he got “killed” on Lola Sayu, the only thing left of him was his helmet. He died wearing ARC trooper armor. Fast forward to the finale. He lets go of the Bad Batch armor like the rest do, but he then also ditches the headgear and his scomp arm in order to save his family. He doesn’t NEED all that stuff. He’s down to basic armor and his own wits in the end. Just like he started. And the only thing he’s missing is his helmet in the end. (Yes, I know he still has the scomp link, but covering it up was more useful overall).
I don’t think any of that is coincidence.

Love to Kevin Libranda, making probably the best art for a leader in Set 3
First off, this is from the current set, Set 3, Twilight of the Republic, This is the full-art treatment of the card, called Hyperspace (that's what the streaks are there for)
I main an Anakin Command Deck this set (with an Ahsoka Cunning deck as well, ill go over her as well) but this is the more meta deck.
I LOVE this art. They chose to take everything about this card from the Citadel arc of season 3 of TCW, so the background is Lola Sayu, a rock planet where almost the entire southern hemisphere is exposed to the lava of the mantel. that cliff face, with the overhang of mushroom like rock, looks perfectly
They also perfectly captured the season 3-6 look of Anakin here, while not cartoonifying the design as much as they might have. The robes, the stance, the furrowed brow is perfect
And the theming, on tope of everything, is perfect. The Subtitle, "What It Takes to Win" is taken directly from the arc itself, where after the gang rescues the then captain Tarkin from prison, Anakin ask Tarkin why he lacks trust in the jedi. Tarkin responds that they are ineffective in the war, that they are peacekeepers, and the Jedi code prevents them from doing "Whatever it takes to Win". Anakin agrees with him, as Tarkin has just laid out his own struggles with the order exactly.
This subtitle sums up Anakin as a character perfectly. Not only is it a reference to him being the Chosen One (literally what it takes to win against the Sith and bring balance), but it brings forth his nature as someone who will not allow anything to stop him, ei. win. Anakin meets someone he loves and loves him, and he does whatever it takes to win (be with her despite the code). When he becomes a general, his approach to combat is fast paced, front leading and sometimes arrogant, everything the jedi code tried to temper out of him, but despite that, he has the most successful campaign of the war, decisively winning every major conflict we see the 501st involved in, because of this "what it takes to win" attitude. He even trained Ahsoka like this, to trust herself and her abilities, not just the code and her orders, and she survived because of it. And when it came to a head, when Anakin was faced with what he thought was the ultimate choice he could make, to save his wife from death and to end the war and bring peace to the galaxy, he agonized over it, but he made his choice, he did what it takes to "win", and it took everything from him. But that was the only option, it was his nature to try to solve everything on his own, in a world where no one else had ever tried and been able to do the same, he consistently did the miraculous, even among those who could do such things, and he continued to try until the end, when he sacrificed himself to defeat Palpatine, to win, he did whatever it takes.
This ties perfectly with his leader ability, to damage your own base, then attack for extra damage, just as Anakin's recklessness is a double edged sword. In game, it allows for you to trade up easily. and sets you up to have likely at least 15 damage on your base by your 6th resource. But at that 6th resource, you flip anakin, and because each 5 damage on your base means an attack power, he has at least 7 attack power and 7 defense, and you are instantly the most powerful unit on the board. and since you have overwhelm, you can attack anything, from a battledroid to a small tank, and your damage will overflow into the base. then it your like me, you buff him with generals saber, and your in a winstate, in the exact same way Anakin was for the entirety of the clone wars.
Right now, Anakin Vigilance is the meta deck, because having Luke and Anakin on the bored at the same time is busted. Definetely a must build deck if you have a playset of Luke units.

You're Fives, and your Squad has graduated despite all adversity. All of you get assigned to the same post, and it's terrible, boring and nothing like you expected.
You're Fives, only 3 in your base survived the attack. The plan is to blow it out. Hevy stays behind to make sure it carries on.
You're Fives, and Hevy isn't out yet.
You're Fives, and the base blows up with Hevy still inside.
It's only you and Echo now.
You're Fives, and you were never really close to Echo, but trauma makes you bond. You become inseparable.
You're Fives, and you and Echo get promoted to ARC troopers.
You're Fives, and you get assigned to a mission with Echo.
The mission couldn't go worse.
You're Fives, and you watch, helplessly, as Echo tries to defend the ship, your only way out.
You're Fives, and you watch the ship blow up with Echo right beside it.
You're not allowed to mourn. You're not allowed to go back and see if he's alive.
The Jedi are allowed to mourn their own. The Jedi are allowed to make a funeral on the spot.
It's not fair.
You're Fives, and you're alone.
You're Fives, and if you thought Lola Sayu was terrible, Umbara is somehow even worse.
You're Fives, and you meet Hardcase. He's energetic and a thousand things you can't put into words.
You bond.
You're Fives, and with Hardcase and Jesse plan a mission to help everyone, but without your General's knowledge.
The mission goes badly.
Hardcase decides to sacrifice himself.
You're Fives, and you can simply run as Hardcase blows the ship up to save everyone.
You almost get executed.
You somehow get over all of this.
Tup has also lost everything.
You're Fives, and despite everything, you bond with him.
Tup kills a Jedi.
Tup dies in your arms.
You discover a conspiracy.
You're Fives, and nobody believes you. You're drugged. The Chancellor is the Sith Lord. They all think you're crazy, but you know the truth.
You try to warn your General and Rex.
You
You're Fives, and you get shot in the chest.

You can find my OC Lupe's character sheet and general information here.
Lupe is depicted as Jedi Knight during the Clone Wars on her character sheet. Her appearance (including tattoos) changes through the years, so I'll try to get different versions as her story progresses. I'll try to create/design a fitting lightsaber for her as well, some day!
You can find my Lone Wolf Squad (clone OCs) and funfacts here.

Nightmares - 501st edition
"The—the mission, the one in our dreams… that never ends. The one in our dreams... Oh, brother." -Tup
(Coming from the interpretation of this quote that every clone has a recurring nightmare of his worst mission or battle.)
Rex: It changes often for Rex. There always seems to be something worse waiting around the corner. He already has the nightmare as a cadet. The longnecks putting him through endless check-ups and tests to see if he's worth the investment. Later he dreams about his merciless training. Then there's the first battle of Geonosis. More missions, one worse than the other. Zygerria gives him nightmares about being tortured and abused. After Umbara his nightmare stays the same gruesome battle aftermath of brothers he shot himself, until order 66 comes around. The mission in his dreams doesn't change after that, ever. Always the same ship, always the same words echoing through his head. Good soldiers follow orders. He can still hear them over the screams.
Jesse: He dreams about the Battle of Mimban. He lost two of his batchmates in just one day, both dying in his arm only few hours apart. The mission of his dreams changes after Umbara. It's usually him, often next to Fives but sometimes with another vod, standing at the execution site and staring at a row of blasters while Dogma screams "fire".
Dogma: His nightmare is a training mission, one of the special advanced missions that last for weeks that only the better troopers are assigned to. He's good. His friend is there, too. More reckless than clever. Dogma learns the hard way why rules and regulations are important to follow. He wishes he'd been more keen about it sooner to prevent a needless death. He's reminded of what carelessness can do every day in his sleep.
Echo: He's on Rishi Moon. He sees Droidbait and droids shooting, he hears Cutup's screams as the eel carries him away, he feels the ground vibrate as the base explodes with Hevy still inside. It's Fives' nightmare, too. This changes for them after Lola Sayu.
Hardcase: His first mission. It was a bloodbath, a complete fail with heavy casualties. He was fighting in the first row from beginning to end and saw everything.
Kix: He doesn't dream about a specific mission. The setting is always the same anyway. An improvised field infirmary in a stormy night. There's at least twice as many men as beds, everyone except him is severely wounded and he's alone to save their lives. The faces change. Unknown clones, people he's lost or saved, batchmates, friends, comrades, sometimes even his own general.
Tup: His first mission is his worst. Umbara. It's like jumpscares coming from everywhere. He's shooting, fighting, people around him die. Sometimes he sees his brothers' faces behind the Umbaran masks after shooting them. It's absolute chaos and everything's too dark or misty to see properly until it's too late.
Fives: The citadel. Each night he's back on Lola Sayu and fighting against battle droids with Echo by his side. His twin always dies, sooner or later. Fives doesn't know if he should love his nightmares because he can see Echo again or hate them for ripping him away time and again in the most brutal manner. He always has wakes up when the bomb goes off, soaked in sweat, without Echo.

Wanted to draw something else for a change, like Nikkari Aoe from Touken Ranbu, but I made him a Jedi Shadow!
WOOAAHHH WOAAHH WOAHHH!!! HOLD ON! MAMUZZY DREW A JEDI FOR ONCE!!!!
I can't come up with OCs to save my love but I love making crossovers.
Nikkari's duality could make him a very effective Jedi or a very deranged Sith, so I combined the two: Destroying a sith artifact caused him a very inconvenient side-effect that now he is cursed with presence of a very angry Sith Lord in his mind, either constantly trying to kill him, taking over his body, or just simply make his life a bit more difficult than it supposed to be. But Nikkari dancing on the thin line between the Dark and Light side of the Force with a smile on his face, trying to make peace with himself and the needy woman in his brain.
The Jedi Order was afraid of this corruption and in the beginning he was a few violent outbreak away from being sent to the Citadel Correctional Facility on Lola Sayu, which was under the Republic's jurisdiction at that time.
Not sure how he would handle the Clone Wars. Maybe the constant bloodshed and violence around him would get the better of him and he finally allows himself to be fully corrupted. Or being assigned to lead the clones would give him enough motivation to stay in the path of light and set an example.
I love the idea that his former Master, Juzumaru resigned from the council so he could train Nikkari again to gain control over the darkness inside him.
But I love the darker path too, where he was indeed being sent to the Citadel and the separatist forces captured the facility, along with him...

One of the most interesting things about TCWs Rex's character arc struggles is that, he's constantly put into contrasts.
Rex, as we know him, stands to be the main representation of a Clone Trooper. He's the first major named CT Character, that isn't Commander Cody, who doesn't have any ties to the films (Unlike Commander Cody), and thus can act and be written with far more freedom to explore.
[ You can't write Commander Cody too much by the end of the day, because one, years of expectations weigh, and two, he still has to shoot Kenobi at the end of everything. ]
Rex has two major conflicts in his arc, that represent the three defining points of clone troopers:
Loyalty to their Brothers
Loyalty to the System
Loyalty to themselves
Let's have some examples.
Our first major touch up with this, is the exact Opposite of all three: Sergeant Slick.
He is not loyal to his brothers (And gets a lot of them killed, whilst blaming the Jedi), he is not loyal to the system (He's a traitor), and he's not loyal to himself (He will make a lot of claims... which are unsubstantiated, because he gets a lot of people killed for purposes of greed and perceived slights).
This one is your easy Villain. Its easy to see, via Slick, that Loyalty to Brothers, Systems and Self is very simple.
But TCWs takes it a step further into complication.
Cut Lawquane, a deserter, is not loyal to the system (because it certainly isn't loyal to him), is loyal to himself, but is neutral when comes to brotherly loyalty.
( I say neutral, because he was willing to slay Rex if it meant staying free and his family safe. He did stop, because he's true to himself, and the self he wants to be isn't someone who kills people... Its just that sometimes, what is wanted, and what it is needed, isn't always the same thing. )
This is the first major bang up to Rex's Character Arc, because now we have a decent enough brother who is absolutely Not Loyal To the System that Rex is. And eventually, Rex lets him go, showing that while Rex is Lawful Good--he leans more towards good, whilst still retaining lawful plausibility.
This step slapped Rex, but it was a surprise he could easily, just simply, file away and not think about too hard. Deserting is going to happen when you're in an army of millions, and if they're off to be farmers instead of soldiers, well that's okay and a very nice thought.
The real kicker was Umbara.
One could argue that the Lola Sayu Mission should've hit Rex, but instead of Rex, it hit Fives the hardest (And with good reason). It's probably why there was an implication of a fallout between Lola Sayu and Umbara ("Just like Old times, Rex.")
And Fives becomes a contrasting challenge:
Loyal to Self
Loyal To Brothers
Neutral to Disloyal to System
Fives would bend the system until it breaks if it meant saving his brothers and more. He's the Chaotic Good to Rex's Lawful Good.
Rex is painfully upright and loyal to the system, so when one of his best and closest brothers decides "fuck this", it shakes him up.
Especially when Rex is finally confronted with how rotten the System gets: by General Pong Krell.
To contrast the contrast, on other side of Rex is Dogma, who is Fives' opposite. The Lawful Neutral.
Loyal to the System above all Else.
Neutral to Disloyal to Brothers.
( It does not help that Anakin Skywalker only recognizes Lawful as being Obedient rather than "adherence and or comfort to a code or set of rules" and thus draws more parallels between Rex and Dogma, than Rex and Fives. )
The Umbara Arc throws Rex through the whole loop, with all its conflicts. Especially the challenges it would make to Rex's whole character and showing him how far things can go.
Until finally, Rex finding what lines to draw in the dirt when it comes to "Loyalty to the End".
... But not enough to save anyone.
Then comes the Conspiracy arc, and while we don't know Rex's side, we do have implication of the aftermath.
The coverup of Fives' death (Because it would've had to been), by brother no less (Another big thing), and with the chip arc, which Rex did look into--would've put Rex up against someone he could not and would not possibly be capable of working through or against: Anakin Skywalker.
( Obviously for narrative purposes, Skywalker can't be stopped less TCWs became an AU instead )
Rex finds that his closest and brightest was labeled traitor and terrorist for his attack on the chancellor, via the very same bulletin points that Rex's character lives by, and it would immediately put him up against Skywalker.
The reason being, is that Skywalker is close to the Chancellor, and likely told Rex to drop any investigation.
And through speculation based on aftermath episodes... and What we know by this point...
I bet that Rex did not want to lump Anakin with Krell as a "System Problem". Because Rex worked with Anakin, and Rex's character falls in line with Anakin, and to consider Anakin to be part of the problem would go against Rex's character--thus, it is "unthinkable" and much easier to simply... Believe that Anakin has the best intentions.
( Even if that came at the cost of Fives. )
( Even though it would come at the cost of the 501st in the future--Rex only did enough that it would save his Life, and Ahsoka's, but nobody else's. He pays dearly for that comfort in Anakin at the cost of Fives, and the cost of Everyone. )
Moving to S7... and the Bad Batch.
Rex comes up against his absolute Opposite once more--in Sergeant Hunter, and the various Bad Batchers.
We've hit full circle.
Hunter commands a small squad that he pretty much lets do whatever, whilst Rex hangs on commands and commanding. Hunter is Evasive, Rex is Honest; Hunter gets stressed by Command, Rex does not.
Hunter is endlessly snarky, whilst Rex is straightforward. Hunter loses his faith midway through Mission, and Rex does not. Hunter's appearance is against all regulations, whilst Rex is clean shaven.
Hunter wasn't made for command, he just wasn't the stronger personality in the Batch to cause problems, whilst Rex is trained and made to command.
The one thing they do have in common, is loyalty to brothers, and the difference is--Rex doesn't hang on to anyone in lieu of the bigger picture, but Hunter does, existing in the smaller pictures.
( That's the TCWs implication-- If I went into the TBBshow, Hunter would not be coming out nearly as good. )
With the other batchers, Rex comes up against each one being individually against an aspect of his character.
Tech is disloyal to the system, he's as far from any sort of clone soldier you can get, and he's not even dressed for it. Tech comes in as a research first.
Wrecker is disloyal to self, bolstering about his skills and making light of the situation before it crashes on him. His disloyalty isn't a case of selling out--its a case of simply not considering himself in any measure. He puts others above him.
Crosshair is disloyal to brothers. He makes it a point to start shit in the middle of a mission, question authority, making disparaging remarks, and attacking a sense of self. The difference here is that, instead of accumulating falsehoods (like Slick), or physically attacking--he attacks the comforting falsehoods that a clone trooper would take on out of loyalty to brothers, system and self. If you're a brother, why don't you act it. If you cared so much for this one guy, why did you leave him behind. If you were that good in your little system, why did the specialists get called in. ( Crosshair is also a dick, but one can understand why he does things. )
Each Bad Batcher serves as a challenge to Rex's character. They are as far from Lawful as possible--but they are Good.
And then there was Echo.
But Echo doesn't serve as a challenge to Rex's character. If anything, Echo might serve as the "reward" for Rex's character arc. He saved at least one Brother, and one of his closest.
...
Unfortunately, Rex's full character arc wasn't ever really fully realized, because he is, fundamentally, a satellite character for other characters to bounce off of, even if those characters are other Clone Troopers.
( hell, Rex serves to contrast Cody, and neither of those too really had full Arcs )
Its why Fives took more attention in Umbara than Rex. Its why Ahsoka gets off scott free at the end of the day but Rex doesn't.
Its why when certain points of Jedi pop up, particularly that even our main character Jedi aren't really all that Lawful Good and do fuck up and waste a lot of brothers' lives for it, that Rex does not intervene.
Because, his character was never given that development to step in and tell someone to "Hey, stop, you are going to get people Killed."
A full Arc would've allowed that, and he wasn't afforded one.
A post TCWs Arc for Rex to get that Development, to fully understand all he went through and implement it into a new character arc, was implied with Rebel's Rex... but is currently unfulfilled.
( Don't be shocked that I don't consider TBBshow to count. )
But there ya go, a nice sum Analysis on Rex.
