This is my version of Loonatics unleashed. I decided to do my own version. So some major differences are.

1- The Loonatics take place in 2017 which makes it's a bit more relatable to us. I love the designs of the future but I have to admit I found it weird with all the new technology the phones still look very early 2000s 😂.

2- The looney tunes are there Great Grandparents not 300th Great grandparent.

3- Duck and Rev are Girls. I wonder how come there was only one girl in the team. There supposed to be descendants not carbon copies 😒. I mean we're they saying girls can't be descendants from boys.

4- Ace and Lexi are Fraternal twins. Guys I'm sorry I just can't seem to ship them. They are descendants of Lola and Bugs bunny who are in a canonical relationship. It's a cute ship don't get me wrong. But for me it's just weird.

5- The Loonatics are young adults. Wikipedia says there teenagers but these guys are in universitys?? There ages are. Slam and Tech 22, Ace and Lexi 20 , Rev and Danger 18.

6- Zadalvia is NICE to Danger.

7- There backstories. Starting with Slam Tasmanian.

First off he can Talk. I never understood why they gave Wiles and Roadrunner descendants talking abilities but not him.

He lived in Tasmania and has an Australian accent kinda like Hugh Jackman. Some humans said they were going to take there home unless Slam comes up with 100,000,000,000,000,000 dollars. ( Which is impossible) so he signs up for American wrestling. He goes to America but finds out it's not what he thought. However a meteor changes his life forever. He has a younger kid sister who is his biggest supporter and lived with his mom after there father walked out on the family. Loves to cook. His birthday is May 4th and yes the others do joke and say May the 4th be with you much to his annoyance. Zodiac is Taurus ♉

Next up Tech e Coyote

His backstory is kinda complicated. He was diagnosed with Asperger's when he was 4 and was often bullied to the point where he is TERRIFIED of public speaking. He has lots of stim toys and sometimes didn't feel like talking. During college he befriended a shy bullied girl names Mallory and eventually fell in love with her. Unfortunately there was an accident he caused by mistake and she ended up becoming the Mastermind. He tried with inventing again but after several accidents he was kicked out of the university. However a meteor changes his life forever. Birthday Dec 30. Zodiac Capricorn ♑.

Next up Ace and Lexi

I decided to do these two together since there twins so they basically lived the same lives. Ace is the older twin and is a daredevil who got in trouble with his parents alot. As for Lexi she was a very sweet girl who everyone liked. She was definitely the angel to aces devil personality. However this came at the cost of her getting bullied and Ace getting detention alot in high school. ( Because no one messes with a guy's younger sister especially if she is your twin) at college though he seemed to mature a bit and Lexi learned how to deal with bullies with her one passion Dancing. She loves Ballet. And Ace wanted to be a Actor like his Great Grandpa Bugs bunny. Unfortunately try outs didn't go well for either. But a Meteor changes there lives forever. There birthday is Oct. 13 making them Libras ♎

And now for everyone favorite talkative roadrunner Rev Runner.

Ok so like I said Rev is a girl runner. She had a pretty standard life. However her parents never believed she had ADHD just thinking she was faster than normal or not paying attention to them. Her younger brother Rip is 10 in this world and as far as she is concerned. She is more his mother than there own. Harriet and Ralph are pretty rich and practically use there kids to help make money. Rev being the oldest was put under a lot of pressure growing up. Ralph often would push Rev to her limits. To make things worse he was Willing to Marry her to some Creep to get more money. Luckily she got away. Unfortunately she couldn't take her brother with her. Something that still crushes her. She started work at a diner as a waitress. She was miserable until a certain meteor struck earth changing her life forever. Her birthday is Feb 1. Her Zodiac is Aquarius ♒

Anyway like Rev she is a Girl. And the youngest of the team. Her life wasn't exactly easy at all. Her parents were murdered in front of her by psycho clowns at age 5. Then she went through several foster homes with all of them sending her back cause she was a ' problem child'. None of them realized she was lashing out in grief. She practically grew up in the system. She had only one friend. Pinkster Pig. However when he got adopted he started changing and bullied her throughout high school. When she hit 18 she was kicked out of the orphanage and was homeless taking off jobs just so she can sleep somewhere. Her latest job and place was at a pool place. After a hard day of work. A meteor changes her life forever. Her birthday is July 25. Her Zodiac is Leo ♌

As for Zadalvia. Since she is an alien I decided to make her more like avatar. She has a striped tail. And is green skin. Her outfit is Blue. And she has Orange hair. She is 35 years old. Her backstory is pretty much the same. Except I decided to have Optimus ( I dont know how to spell his name) is possessed by the robo stuff he wears. There parents died when she was young and he became an adult. After years of ruling freleng he found a robot costume and put it on. Unfortunately it possessed him. He imprisoned his sister but she escaped with the help of a rocket. Resulting in the meteor. Her birthday is September 3. Her Zodiac is Virgo ♍.

TRIGGERS: Death, Depression, Mental Hospitals, Self-Inflicted Harm, Ghost and Spirits

✿ The Jackmans have always been known to the small-town life. The family hardly came from money, working for everything they owned, and Charlotte, who decided to go by Lola at a young age – a nickname coined by her grandfather, was no different. While her father spent most of his time working at the local high school, and collecting odd jobs, to support the family so his wife could stay home with their three children (Christopher, Katherine, and Charlotte), Lola grew up to chase a different path. She’d always dreamed of having a family, from the time she was young. Games like playing house and preparing meals in her plastic kitchen were all the rave, and that liveliness never died as she grew older – hoping to one day to find a family of her own and settle down. Though, a high school career of heartbreaks led her, instead, down a path towards caring for others. Her mother had suggested becoming a nurse, but schooling had never been something she was privy on. And so, she set her sights on the worn-down farmhouse in town, up for sale.

✿ It took years of saving up, working at local restaurants and counting every penny, until she was finally able to afford the house – with a little help from Grandfather, of course. Lola had always been his favorite grandchild, having spent most of the summers with her at his side, helping in the garden as a child. He wanted to do everything he could to assist in achieving her goals. Between her steady minimum wage paychecks, and Grandfather’s retirement checks, remodeling the inn took a while. But, when it was finally finished, Lola had never been so proud.

✿ The doors of the inn had barely been reopened, when Grandfather passed away. Naturally, this hit Lola very hard, and she did not cope with it well, nearly letting the business fall under before she’d even found her footing. Bills piling up, she forced herself to collect her emotions and put her best face forward for customers. But, when she was alone, she did little more than spend her time in bed. Hobbies such as writing poetry or painting had been long forgotten, and she certainly didn’t have it in her to dance anymore. Instead, she found herself working in the garden, in the backyard of the townhouse, planting her grandfather’s favorite vegetables and tending to them each year, using them to make home-cooked meals that reminded her of happier times.

✿ By the time the inn had been open for about a year, Lola was turning twenty. But, instead of feeling accomplished for her age, she just felt empty. Like something was constantly draining the life-force from her very being. Little did she know, something was. She’d remodeled the basement of the inn, as her own living quarters, permitting her to move out of her parents’ home and have a place to call her own, as well as stay close to work. She’d hired a construction crew to remodel it, and in the process, unknowing to them, they had unleashed something that quickly leeched to Lola’s depressive manor.

✿ At first, she didn’t notice. Getting sick often and feeling constantly tired just seemed like a Vitamin D problem, or something of the sort. But, that’s the thing about spirits. They feed off of good health and dark thoughts, making Lola an easy target. Her living in the inn only made it that much easier for them to stay close to her.

✿ It took a few months, but eventually she started seeing things, convinced her eyes were merely playing tricks on her, rather than believing that somebody might be sitting at the foot of her bed at night, or opening kitchen drawers at all hours of the day. But, during a shower one evening after work, Lola felt something grab her wrist. Without much thought, she’d reached for her shaving razor, attempting to swear it away with a slice or two. This resulted in what doctor’s labeled as a nervous break, deciding that Lola was hallucinating, and could become a great harm to herself or others – a doctor’s note that landed her a spot at the mental health facility, a few towns over.

✿ Lola spent a lot of her time at the hospital trying to persuade nurses to believe that she hadn’t hurt herself, explaining that there had been a ghost in her home, which only made her sound crazier. It didn’t take long to realize that the only way she’d reclaim her freedom would be to admit to something she didn’t do, and to her surprise, it worked. She took the medications, and she lied at group therapy sessions, speaking of how she’d made it all up, wasting months of her life behind hospital doors until she was back on the streets of her hometown, lying through her teeth the entire time. Her family had been able to keep the inn afloat during her time away, much to her luck, so she had a home and occupation to return to – even if she was afraid to.

✿ Since then, Lola has only grown more aware of the spirits in the inn – noting that there were more than one, and that some of them could be dangerous. But, she couldn’t afford to turn the inn away, so she’d have to learn to live with it, the scars on her wrist a constant reminder of what they were capable of. She doesn’t speak of the monsters in the inn, terrified to be forced to return to Juniper, but living in a small town, she knew her secrets wouldn’t stay quiet for long. People in small towns always talk. It didn’t take long before everyone seemed to know that “Crazy Lola Jackman” lived at the inn, despite how normal she may seem if you see her on the street, smiling as she shops for fresh produce or producing a sour face at the bitter taste of vodka drinks.

✿ Lola has refused to let the inn ruin or run her life. She still has friends, and is trying to overcome her depression with the help of modern-day medication. She finds time for her hobbies, and even has a healthy sex life. She still dreams of having a big family one day, and she hopes that eventually her feet will find music again. But, underneath all of the normal? She’s petrified of what hides in the dark, often preferring to share a bed with somebody else just to get some sleep at night.

Okay here’s my MCU Alpha Flight casting choices, if they ever decide to do so…

(I say if since they gave us Eternals and Inhumans, they should give us Alpha Flight, I’d take it has a piece of Logan’s backstory tbh)

Aurora: Lola is a fun actress who is a bit of a chameleon, she plays both hapless student and reckless girl very well (know for Mozart in the Jungle and Gone Girl)

Northstar: Cody is another chameleon who I think has the right features and is gay irl and I think the MCU needs lgbt cast member representation. I think JP and JM need to be cast young. (Know for American Horror(crime) Story)

Guardian: Hugh Jackman because meta

Snowbird: Julie is because I think Snowbird should be indigenous and I love her work (Known for Twilight Saga and the Mandalorian)

Puck: Kyle has played action before and can beef up and I think with some facial hair he could work imo (known for the Mandalorian)

Sasquatch: Russell is a deaf actor and I think that would be an interesting new layer to the character (Know for Fargo (TV) and There Will Be Blood)

Shaman and Talisman: Tokala (correction for his name, he now goes by Black Elk) and Jamie are newer actors to the scene and are promising indigenous talent (know for Yellowstone and the Veil respectively)

Marrina: Aislinn is a newer Canadian actress that has previously played superheroes ( Know for Heroes Reborn and Freakish)

Thoughts on Big Mouth Season 5

I feel like I've had my thoughts on this bottled up for a while so I may as well just let them out.

I like that Jessi doesn't have a label. It could be because she hasn't fully figured out her sexuality yet but I think it's great that they're showing how you don't have to rush to figure out your sexuality. It takes time. If you don't wanna label yourself, that's also fine.

Speaking of which, I love that they're not even bothering to hide the fact that Andrew is attracted to men but not dedicating a whole arc to it. He's just Andrew. Him thirsting over men as well as girls is simply a part of him now.

Having said that, the Mr. Keating subplot was probably the worst part of the season. Maybe even the whole show. Andrew just straight up ruins a man's life and, despite his arc being somewhat dedicated to him being more sensitive and wanting to rise above hate, it's never brought up again.

Nick's arc was fine. I like the idea that some hate is valid and some isn't (with Nick's definitely being invalid) but the way it goes becomes a muted version of his arc from last season. It follows a few of the same beats but being more literal than metaphorical.

I feel like we haven't seen the last of Aiden or Samira. Matthew's choices may come back to bite him later on. Ali, on the other hand, seems to still miss Samira since her break-up was beyond her control so I'm not sure where this will go. But I am glad Ali won't be a glorified extra like Gina ended up being.

The Christmas episode was good (despite a few shoddy moments) but I feel like it should have been an extra episode like the Valentine's one was since it kinda disrupted the flow of the story.

I love Missy's arc and Ayo Edebiri's performance. I like her hate coming from jealousy and insecurity while Nick's just comes from spite. Her arc ends with her rising above it and trying to better herself and I'm really excited to see where else she goes.

Also, maybe it was because they kept making jokes in the finale about Jessi eating out Missy, but I honestly thought they were setting them up as a pairing at first. I'm glad they didn't because that would've been WAY too fast but I wouldn't mind seeing it in the future.

How the fuck did they get Hugh Jackman?

If we got Pillola, are we gonna get Bath MATthew?

I'm mixed on Matthew's story even though I'm glad he and Jay got together. They dropped the whole story with his parents to the point where they only have one scene. Does his mother accept him now? Is it just not brought up because he was single for 69% of the season?

But I love Jatthew. I like how Lola and Jay fell apart didn't feel all that forced. Couples fall apart and sometimes it gets ugly, no matter how great the honeymoon phase was. They had a good run but things change.

Rodney, just adopt Lola ffs

I'm starting to think that Gina's been forced into the background because the crew really doesn't want to give Gina Rodriguez a lot of screen time after all the shit she's said but they don't wanna make a big deal by firing her.

I kind of hope they do bring her back because I feel like the lid can't be kept on Charles Lu forever. I get Jay, Matthew, or even Andrew not outing him but Lola found out about it and she doesn't try to start more drama?

Also, where's Kat Dennings?

I wanna see an asexual kid whose Hormone Monster is Simon Sex. The kid doesn't experience sexual attraction so Simon doesn't try to make the kid horny. He just hangs around and chills with the kid. I dunno. It's funny to me.

“You’re right, I don’t, sorry,” Kurt replied. Then: “But I don’t see them at your performances.”

“They’re very busy people.”

“My dad is a U.S. Congressman and he owns and runs his own tire shop from dawn to dusk, and he still makes time to fly to New York and see me perform.”

“Congratulations, you have the World’s Greatest Dad.” Blaine grabbed the pillow under his head and huffed.

“Let me guess; parents weren’t exactly on board with your career choice?”

“Not on board is an understatement. I believe my dad’s exact words to describe my career choice was ‘flouncing about on stage playing pretend.’ He’d rather I be an economist like him, which is why it probably didn’t help that I called his job ‘astrology for white dudes.’” Kurt laughed at that. It was a nice laugh, he thought. “Mom was more diplomatic; she just wanted my major to be ‘practical,’ maybe I could do theater as a school activity. If it wasn’t for my lola I couldn’t have managed NYADA tuition myself.”

“Lola?”

“My grandmother. Dad’s the one with the all business, all the time attitude, but she secretly held the purse strings.”

“I see. I’m glad she could do that for you.” Kurt hesitated. “Did she come to see you?”

“No, unfortunately she wasn’t in the best of health to travel. But I would send her recordings of my performances, and we’d talk on the phone while she watched them. Of course she would say I was the best one on stage, and I’d tell her ‘you’re my lola, you have to say that.’ After that she’d give me mild critiques, but I don’t think they were serious. She did them because I wanted her to, not because she saw any flaws.”

He could feel Kurt stiffen at that. “God, oh of course you don’t have flaws.”

“I never said that. I said she thought that. You know how grandmas are. Besides, maybe she was right.”

“About what?”

“She didn’t have to remind me of any flaws, God knows everyone else did.” Shut up, Blaine could hear himself thinking. Why are you opening up so much with him? But he couldn’t stop himself. “You try growing up with a critical dad, an obnoxious older brother, then have to deal with the likes of Cassandra July when you accidentally get on her shit list for bringing up her failed Damn Yankees run. And by the way, I know what the rumor mills say about me. I know what they say about you too.”

“Why, what do they say?”

“That you and Rachel Berry blackmailed Carmen Tibideaux with a video of her and Hugh Jackman in flagrante delicto that got you both into NYADA, that Adam broke your heart and turned it to ice, that you’re the secret love child of Jim Parsons and a ‘Precious Moments’ figurine.”

“Okay that last one was harsh...”

“And that you have the thickest cock in all of NYADA.” Blaine slapped his hand over his own mouth when he let that gem slip out. He immediately turned away from Kurt, suddenly finding the light under the door fascinating.

“And on that note, I say we try to sleep,” Kurt said, his voice up an octave as he too turned away. “Maybe we can start over in the morning.”

Blaine had no idea how they were going to start over after that.

Rebels thoughts part 1/?

so having finally finished all four seasons of rebels I HAVE THOUGHTS. probably mostly spoilery. probably multiple posts in not very much order.

* i’m not sure what race / ethnicity ezra is supposed to be. at first i thought he just had blue hair to be punk like how sabine always has colored hair, but i think it’s meant for black. his dad looks exactly like an extra out of “prince of egypt” so i am headcanoning him as space sephardic effective immediately. this doesn’t change much.

* @virusq gave me a basic character rundown ahead of time, which included “freddie prinze jr as a jedi”, and i’m like “i only know him from mass effect 3″, and she’s like “basically the same character but doesn’t call anyone lola”. so now y’all get a digression on mass effect. early in each game you can recruit a heavy-hitting soldier-type character to watch your back if you are squishy. i tend to play squishies, so i bring these characters along most places. in game one, i had a giant alien buffalo turtle character voiced by steven barr whom i love all to pieces, and in game two i had a sarcastic old cockney geezer voiced by robin sachs whom i love possibly even more. so game three’s hotheaded young beefcake marine voiced by freddie prinze jr (who nicknames you “loco” if your player character is male, which is deserved honestly, but “lola” if female) had some *serious* competition and i didn’t really latch onto him.

which means i was extremely startled when i immediately identified kanan jarrus as The Mom Friend and latched onto him within i think literally five seconds of screen time. i had not expected kanan to be my fave at alllll.

* virusq did not, as it happens, mention that the purple guy with the weird facial hair was voiced by steve blum (who often voices wolverine) doing his best hugh jackman impression. there was yelling. at least zeb doesn’t usually do the little “heh. heh. heh.” laugh like steve blum’s character in mass effect 2 (another alien buffalo turtle, to whom the player character accidentally becomes battlemom), or i would have been EVEN MORE discombobulated!

* i like that hera is the best pilot without having the force. the whole force = piloting thing gets way overdone.

* i got really, really bored of mandalorian bullshit by the end of the show. i don’t know why i find those episodes so boring. although the whole warring clans honor culture thing is a lot more fun with irreverent bipedal turtles the size of monster trucks.

* chopper is kind of a bully. i never did grow to like him. even with getting some backstory for him, i liked him best when he was interacting with the bitchy robot friend he makes, ap-5.

* the kallus retcon on the ice moon was pretty disorienting even knowing it was coming. also, fandom really built a *lot* out of what, five episodes? i know fandom does that, but... wow. *cackles* Hey, at least it was Kallus/Zeb (which I will admit went pretty damn Canon Gay at the end) and not, oh, say, Kallus/Kanan? Usually I expect the main OTP to be both white guys, but I guess being purple doesn’t interfere as much as being a human of color. /snark

(I may possibly have Opinions about the ways character race skews fandom statistics. Have had, ever since I couldn’t find any Jack+Teal’c friendship fics back in SG-1.)

* #hotkallus was in fact disturbingly hot. Didn’t expect to get that much out of a change of hairdo and keeping the sideburns. I still think it’s funny that Zeb and Kallus have coordinating facial hair, though.

* There were several points where I probably would have gotten more out of the show if I’d seen Clone Wars first, but I don’t think I’m probably going to wind up watching Clone Wars. Especially with the new season coming up, which makes it both an open canon and a guaranteed downer ending.

* I really liked the way the show did continuity. You could miss an episode without losing too much, but there were enough little callbacks to reward watching the whole thing straight through. I especially liked Sabine’s repainted TIE fighter in season one and the way Ezra’s calling himself “Jabba the Hutt” eventually backfires on him.

* Even not counting Thrawn, the Imperials in this show learn from the Rebels’ actions over the course of the show, which is pretty neat to someone raised on strictly episodic ‘60s TV like me. 

* THRAWNNNNNNNNNN :D

* Thrawn, like Sterling from Leverage, never loses. He may not always win, but he never loses. The show did a really good job of making him genuinely fucking scary and badass.

* I understand why fandom wants the Thrawn and Ezra roadtrip back from the Unknown Regions, because that’s some buddy comedy bullshit right there, what with Ezra’s main superpower being to annoy anyone stuck in an enclosed space with him, but why did nobody tell me the show ends with a *canonical* Ahsoka and Sabine epic roadtrip looking for Ezra? C’mon, that’s some good story fodder right there. Granted we don’t have much on how Sabine and Ahsoka interact in canon, but that would be really interesting.

* Something about show!Lando bothers me, and I think it’s the fact that he just doesn’t quite sound enough like Billy Dee Williams. Obviously this is a potential problem whenever they show a movie character and have to cast a voice actor -- Leia didn’t have Carrie’s startlingly deep alto either -- but somehow Lando was the only one where it really bugged me.

     paloma was born to cristian and alina vidal ( respectively a producer for film and television , and a retired actress turned director ) in los angeles in september 1999 , and grew up in the GLITZ of hollywood from a young age. though many would think a life of premieres , backstage passes and paparazzi would go straight to a little girl’s head , paloma’s parents both made sure her life was kept as normal as possible. she was raised in l.a. , and spent most of her time either in school , or by the water. 

     despite her parents’ backgrounds and careers , it was never really written in the stars for paloma to follow in their footsteps. growing up , she was a particularly active and outdoorsy child , with a penchant for sailing , surfing ( see her HEADCANONS below for more on her surfing ! ) and photography. guidance counselors thought she might choose to become a pro athlete of some kind , or perhaps some kind of sports journalist or photo-reporter.

     throughout high school , she felt a certain lack of direction , feeling torn between her childhood interests and the pull of hollywood , and what she’d seen her parents do their whole lives. in her junior year of high school , the opportunity to audition for the role of audrey in her school’s rendition of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS came up. landing the role , and the subsequent weeks of rehearsals and performances , cemented the idea of a career in the arts for paloma.

     she eventually made a move towards the industry by attending the savannah college of art and design ( scad ) , as a performing arts major. the opportunity to audition for the role of VALENTINA , in netflix’s upcoming show the village was brought up by one of her professors ( along with her parents’ connections ) , who urged her to travel to new york. within a few weeks , filled with travel and a flurry of online assignments , paloma landed the role and decided to move to new york full-time to be present for the filming of the show.

     though she’s always been known as quite a workaholic , taking on the role of valentina has amplified it greatly. she’s usually the first in and last out on set ( actor-wise , at least ) and is known to prioritize making sure she knows her lines and blocking over beauty sleep. at present , this hasn’t devolved into anything too SERIOUS , but definitely could in the future ( will it be a slippery slope to a caffeine addiction and perhaps something more , or will she correct course in time ? stay tuned to find out ! )

𝐢𝐢𝐢. 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐚

     VALENTINA ROMERO , known as val to friends , is the village’s resident pretty girl ( with a brain ). she’s what would result if serena van der woodsen , cher horowitz , cordelia chase , elle woods and summer roberts were put into a blender. from a prominent political family , she was raised between party fundraisers , easter egg hunts on the white house lawn , campaign trails and society gatherings.

    much like SERENA , her life has happened under the warm glow of the spotlight , and things always seem to have come easy to her. she’s a little more tame than serena though , and rarely ends up on page six ( when she does end up in the pages of magazines , it’s usually for something a little more decent ).

    much like CHER , she’s known for her fashion , and is the darling of amateur photographers in greenwich village. she’s not really the type to bring anyone down for their taste , but rather one to remark when someone wears something she’s into.

    much like CORDELIA , she’s not one to bite her tongue when something’s on her mind. she’s got a sharp wit , and adores honesty over everything else. again , she’s not known to bring people down for sport , but will rebut anything that comes her way if it’s meant to be damaging to her , her family or her friends.

   much like ELLE and SUMMER , she’s a lot smarter than she looks. she doesn’t always try as hard as muse a , but often ends up with good grades anyway. she’s often underestimated by group project members or fellow students , who see her as the stereotypical DUMB BLONDE. proving them wrong is her favorite sport.

𝐢𝐯. 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐧𝐬

     she took up surfing at a young age , and made it her primarily source of exercise growing up. for a while , many thought she’d either go pro , or end up photographing surfers professionally. since moving to new york , she’s had to CHANGE workout regimes , but that hasn’t stopped her from decorating her apartment with surf memorabilia.

   she loves experimenting with fashion , and is known for her BOLD red carpet looks. from bright colors to unusual materials , nothing is off limits ( as long as it’s ethical ! ) she chose her stylist specifically because both saw eye to eye when it came to taking a risk , rather than playing it safe.

    her favorite scents are coconut sunblock and surf wax , which she found is CANDLE form and is always burning in her apartment when she’s running through lines , practicing her blocking , or hanging out with castmates / friends. it’s also one of her favorite ‘ first day of shooting ’ gifts for the cast and crew around her.

    dried mango is her ABSOLUTE favorite snack , and she’s always carrying some around on-set. her mother used to give her that and frozen grapes growing up instead of candy ( since she has such a sweet tooth ) , and she’s been hooked ever since.

    she’s not one to name-drop her parents’ connections and friends in the industry , but the one connection she’ll proudly let people know about ( when they ask ) is that , yes , hugh jackman is her godfather. he and her father met when the latter produced x-men in 2000 and have been INSEPARABLE ever since. if paloma’s ever able to fake a believable aussie accent , it’s thanks to hugh.

    her script pages are usually covered in notes , made in pencil , highlighter , markers , or whatever else she can get her hands on. over the past few months , and during her time at scad , she found that jotting down her IMMEDIATE thoughts on a scene , her lines and / or her blocking always help her remember things better. she keeps all of her notes and script pages in binders back at her apartment , so she can always look back on her character arc and make sure she stays true to who valentina is.

𝐯. 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬

     give me the WILL THEY , WON’T THEY ? , where the paparazzi and magazine editors are all convinced there’s a relationship bubbling below the surface. and who wouldn’t ? paloma and your muse have incredible on-set chemistry , are always seen hanging out outside of work hours , and are expertly paired by their publicists during press rounds. that said , when removed from the flashes of the paparazzi , nothing seems to have transpired ( yet ).

     give me a RYAN REYNOLDS TO MY JAKE GYLLENHAAL ( see this video ) , where our muses cannot be paired together for interviews anymore , after cracking jokes every five seconds instead of promoting the village. they’re fused at the hip on-set , and are usually the ones to go live on instagram during filming breaks , to the delight of fans.

     give me an EX , because working with someone you used to date ( or just sleep with ! ) creates so many great possibilities. was it awkward for them to see each other’s names in the press when casting for the village was revealed ? or did one ( or both ) of them see it as an opportunity to build a friendship ? are they jealous on-set , or can they keep it together ?

     give me CHILDHOOD FRIENDS , with bonus points if the friendship exists because of their families’ ties to the film & tv industry. if people dig deep enough through google images , there’s bound to be a picture of them together as children on some red carpet. perhaps the years of knowing each other have turned them into best friends , or maybe they now can’t stand the sight of each other. after all , hollywood can get competitive and ugly.

     give me the BROTHER SHE’S NEVER HAD , who teases her mercilessly , but will always protect her from the paparazzi. they’re protective of one another and are each other’s rock in the new world that is sudden overnight fame. 

     give me the PLATONIC LIFE PARTNER , whom paloma loves more than her own self. they have the login information to all her devices , they text people back in her stead , they sleep in the same bed , they readjust each other’s clothing on red carpets. one is rarely seen without the other , and the village’s fans revel in the two’s friendship.
