Finale

Fighting Ganondorf, Finding Zelda, post-credit cutscene!

Idk, for some reason I thought jumping right down into the chasm under the castle would trigger the final battle. Instead, I was able to activate the last light root and then jumped down to the very bottom...and nothing....I only see minor enemies...but DANG THAT MUCIS. Epic and tense and absolutely stressful, love it!

Ok so there's a path there, leading through enemies, especially a Lynel, neat!

Okay this is so cool, we go further and further down, fighting echsalfos...holy moly we're do far down that the sages power cannot reach the place any longer wow. So Link feels truly alone while the whole story was about Link NOT having to fight by himself.

Of course you can't miss the gloom hands, as well.

And now it looks a lot like the staircase Link and Zelda took down to Ganondorf from the beginning of the game, oh gosh the vibes, and even the same music starts up again aaaaaaaah! Soo cool, I'm just standing there and taking in the tension, absolutely amazing.

But instead of only a few keese, you've got to deal with more silver enemies, of course.

And now I can finally do what I wanted to do back there at the very beginning: Bomb up that brittle stone to see the hidden art behind! Finally that is going to be revealed! Haha, of course, it's the spoiler for the whole story lol. The picture of zelda getting the broken master sword and then a dragon with a sword embedded in the head. Imagine they'd have used the shiekah bomb module and saw that first, spoiler alert! I guess if Link just went down there without getting the sword and without learning the story, just got the strongest weapons he could and rushed to defeat Ganondorf cuz he's angy...he'd have at least found out the truth right there instead of going on a wild goose chase across Hyrule and getting the sages set up and all.

Down and down we go, Link and I, okay....where Ganondorf was there is a red chasm going even further down and dang that choir music is really creepy now. Like it's three types of music down here and every single one just makes me tense and ready to fight!

Miasma grotto? It's still not the place where we fight? Wow, okay. Way to keep the suspense going. And now the new music mixes with the music from before and daaaaaaaang! And it gets more and moreepic as you go along, wow wow wooow! And now there's a jumping spot to go even further down, what the heck, this is so eeeepic.

OMG the following cutscene was just absolute banger! Link is faced by a huge monster army, but the all the sages appear one after another and indeed, Link does not have to fight alone!

Fighting that monster horde actually felt challenging for a change.

Welp, while the cutscene was absolutely epic with the bosses from the temples reappearing and the sages choosing to take them one themselves each, giving Link the chance to go on....now he's freaking alone again in that Miasma Spring lmao!

Okay, just like that, Ganondorf rehydrated himself, cool, cool, cool....and for some reason his reawakening and that whole scene gave me such strong Princess Mononoke vibes, it's crazy. Love it! Not a small role: the music again, it feels strongly like a mix of traditional Japanese and the Gerudo-style music from botw.

He's much more powerful and faster than the phantom...but my lynel-enhanced master sword did quick work on him lol...and then he boosted himself and his health bar just went...wheeep, all the way to the right, it was so funny lmao.

And there are a bunch of phantoms blocking the way and making a nuisance of themselves, this actually feels challenging now. OMG HE DODGES attacks just like Link! that actually WAS a challenging fight! Especially since the miasma-broken hearts VANISH if he hits you again, so you actively loose your max possible health, that's amazing.

Dude is a bad loser, can't accept that Link won so he just goes up and swallows his own stone, cuz his body and mind are meaningless to him....now he looks a lot like the Ganon-cloud that was floating around the castle in botw.

And then the custcene, aaaaah, so epic. Link is in between the Ganon-dragons teeth and can't get out and it seems hopeless and then Zelda-dragon appears and is like "Not my boyfriend, you bitch!" and now you have to fight Ganon-dragon on top of and together with Zelda-dragon, as it should be. Fighting him with girlfriend! VERY epic finale!" I mean....his stone was conveniently placed upon the dragons forehead, so it was possible to destroy/remove it.

Zeldas is not, I wonder how she'll turn back...Oh okay, Raurus hand is glowing and Rauru and Sonias spirit help with that, all right, I can buy that. Let's get our girlfriend back! And gosh the music again!

I mean, Raurus hand vanishes from Link and he looses the powers cuz of that but...worth it to get Zelda back! And Rauru and Sonia can finally rest in peace.

And then they're falling and then he's grabbing her hand, finally! And it reminds me of the scene in Spirited away and aaaah. Then he's carrying her out of the lake they landed and it's just soooo sweet. He's so worried when she got up and wobbled T-T

And then she's just like: I've got so much to tell you. Tadaima!

And I'm sitting here, tearing up and am like: Okaeri, Zelda!

VERY nice finale! Cinematic af and definitely much more challenging than the final fight in botw, the dodging mechanic from Ganondorf actually took me by surprise and was really tricky to battle against! And then fighting with Zelda-dragon, awesome! Soooo much great music packed into the end of the game and the game already had amazing music to begin with but the finale really took the cake! Like with all that epic fighting and Zelda-dragon joining and all I forgot that the sages were....fairly little utilized in the finale IMO. Like it felt fairly tacked-on just for the sake of having them but not for actually them playing a big role, ya know what I mean? That's something that I gotta criticize but well...the fight was so good the way it was that I am honestly not really mad about it, it's just the way the game was set up promised a bit more on that front but did not deliver as much.

OMG there's a post credit cutscene!!!! With all the sages, Link and Purah. Mineru, the last Zonai "alive"....feels like a goodbye, does some want to move on? (I think you only get that cutscene if you have Mineru lol.) Yep, she's moving on, but Zelda is the legacy, I guess. The sages swear loyalty to her together with Link (who is silent but looks very seriously at her when it all happens lol).

So that's it for the game, I will add a review or "final thoughts" section to this post as a final reblog, but as for my TOTK Diary, that should be the end of it since there's no DLC coming according to current sources.

As of now, I should have finished all quests, got all shrines, all light-roots, clothes, sages wills, items etc. and got 606 koroks, the map tells me I completed 84,14% of the game, which is fairly good and definitely more thorough than my playthrough of botw was haha.

other, final thoughts

the team logos, jingles and names are rad! well, except for maybe ‘the s’. that’s... an unfortunately stupid name.

so far, bottle is the only one who died. i wonder how two recovers dead contetants?

four never had a problem with projecting their voice, even being able to do it as far as outer space. (bfb 15) this probably has something to do with his ability to screech people to near death, an ability he uses often in the past. this is why the contestants can’t hear two too well like they used to with four. it’s because four’s vocal chords are way stronger compared to two. in conclusion, four is better than two.

i’m happy to see new unexpected dynamics between the characters like basketball and snowball (never thought i’d see those two interact), and lightning and fanny (both originally in iance) as the new death pact members. can’t wait to see them prevent death!

the EXITors’ 2nd attempt happened at the end of bfb 17 but i didn’t notice anything different with four or the bfb episodes. i wonder what happened?

on an unrelated note, there’s something i wanted to point out back in bfb 18, when four said there wasn’t enough room in the EXIT which makes... no sense. i mean, loser and spongey escaped the EXIT so there should be two spots left, right?

winner is either incapable of eating through his mouth, or it’s just his preferred method of food digestion by absorbing it. i wonder if he can absorb other things as well? if so, can he taste it too? i sure hope not. that’d be really disturbing.

at first, i thought winner was going to be the opposite of loser, in a sense that he’d be hated by the other characters.

i never knew about barf bag’s walking problem theory until recently and as much as i like the idea, she seems to be doing all right so that theory might be debunked.

i don’t like pillow ever since bfb 1. she is one of, heck, probably my LEAST favourite character ever. first, she made the arm-waving theory which lead to teardrop being misunderstood and i won’t stand for that. second, she joined death pact because she heard someone say ‘killing’ which is. not reassuring at all. third, her sacrifice back at bfb 4 didn’t... i still don’t understand what the heck happened back there. she looked like she had ulterior motives! so yeah. thanks for listening to my rant. im sorry if you actually like pillow.

despite that, i enjoyed the episode very very much. i’m really excited to see what else tpot has in store!

I Listened To 40 (+1) King Covers

I decided to listen to a bunch of King covers since there are so many and why not? This is my feelings on them. The song is originally by Kanaria sung by Gumi. I don`t know who this post is for. Under the cut due to the length.

Flare - This is the first cover I`ve listened to, so I might be biased. I really like this one. Flare`s deep voice fits the song perfectly and she sounds great with plenty of energy.

Risu - Definitely not bad. I`m kinda missing  some pow in her voice though.

Kanata - It sounds good. I do wish she went a  bit lower in tone. Also her “hahaha”s felt more like she`s giggling, personally I prefer the clearer “Haha” ones instead. 

Towa - Towa`s voice is really great in general and I feel like it shines in songs like this. I`m not the biggest fan of  the “pah”s (0:56), it sounds like it has gone through a filter. 

Shion - Shion`s cover seems to be the most viewed cover in Hololive and I can understand that. She sings the song a  bit softer all around (1:00, for example). This makes the cover feel a bit smugger, which plays with Shion`s strengths. 

Roboco - Holy harmonies, batman! That was my first reaction. This was a unique take on the song by adding things like  harmonies and extra laughter. She sings some of the lines differently by changing the tone of her voice at certain points reflecting the lyrics. However, I feel like her voice becomes a bit too airy at some points in the songs,     especially at the high notes (0:21). This is a bit off topic, but  shout-out to the English subtitles! You can tell that effort has been put into it.

Matsuri - It sounds fine, but it doesn`t really stick out. I really like the way she rolls R in Ratata (1:28) though, so much that it`s kind of a highlight of the cover.

Watame - Her voice fits this song. I`m not entirely sure what the choir (?) is (0:52). It`s a bit strange, but it doesn`t detract from the cover. I like her “Haha”s.  

Sora - Sora`s cover isn`t very intimidating/threatening, I find it rather cute! I really like how the “pah”s goes in the left ear and in the right ear independently. The instrumental kinda sticks out too.

Reine - Wooow. That was great! I`m at the point that I can really appreciate someone having a different take on this  song. The remix sounds good, the MV adds a lot of energy and Reine sounds good too, of course.

Sukoya - Let`s finally step out of Hololive. Yeah, this is pretty good. She sings this a bit softer (like Shion) which fits her well.

Chima - Good. This cover uses a bit of an echo thing which I think makes it sound better (1:07).

Asano Sisters - I think the one singing is Ruri? I`m not familar with them. It doesn`t really stick out, but she sings it well. 

Nui - Her voice is smooth. She also uses the choir effect, not as effectively as others though. Not the biggest fan of her “Haha”s.

Kizuna Ai - This is the 15th one I`ve listened to in a row She sings it well, but it doesn`t stick out.

Gero - This is the first cover by a guy I`ve listened too. Just that makes it special. I like it a lot. The instrumental sounds unique with an organ sound at times and it has extra voice effects.

Luz - This one uses a lot of backing voices like a creepy whisper and more. Pretty OK all around.

Meychan - Pretty good. Not much more to add.

Nanana - This one surprised me. It was a  pretty standard cover until 1:40 when her voice became deeper, and the  avatar changed to someone with shorter hair! Very exciting. Just by being different makes this one better.

Soraru - He sounds good. I like his “Haha”s.

Kagura Nana - Pretty good. She adds laughter in the     background sometimes and puts her voice through a filter. It makes it     sound different. The last “you are king” (2:14) was really     cute. 

Lumi Celestia - This cover was sung very soft and airy. It doesn`t sound as good as I`d like. Another shout-out to the English subtitles. They are really nice.

Kotone - I like her voice. Sounds strong. 

Kuzuha - I think this might be the cover with the most views. Wow. i get it. He sounds good and the song fits him.

Shien - His voice is nice. It fits the song. His “haha”s are a bit weak.

Alfakyun - There are multiple people singing  this, right? It sticks out on that alone. Well, it sounds nice.

Rinu - I like how she sings this. Makes it feel  different than the others. 

Honma - Wow the MV! I haven`t been this  excited since Reine`s cover. I`m not that into her voice, it`s a bit too squeaky.  

Inamtr/ 猪七 祭 -いな まつり -  This one gave me quite the laugh haha.

Rion - This was nice. Her laughs were cute.      

Tojiro - I wasn`t very into his voice, but sometimes he sings kind of like a growl which is interesting. 

Shima - Back with the choir and organ thing. It sounds fine, but it doesn`t stick out.

Mafumafu feat.  nqrse - This was a pleasant surprise. It starts off with an original rap. This version is a duet. Both do a good job, the inclusion of nqrse was a good decision. It sticks out a lot.

Tamaki - It`s fine. He doesn`t sound as good with the high notes though.

Sukoya (again) - Turns out there is another version. This time it`s a remix by DJ WILDPARTY. At this point I`m just happy for something different. It sounds good, but some parts are better than others. 

Utako Suzuka - This one reminds me of Nanana`s cover because both change their voices to be more masculine later in the song. I prefer Nanana`s cover over this one, but it still sounds fine.

Melissa - This cover isn`t that different from the rest, but I like it a lot. They sing it well and from 1:55 and to the end is unique with the growl Melissa does and more. 

Kaida Haru - This cover can get rather breathy at points lol. I`m not the biggest fan of that. 

Chigusa - I think this song shows off her vocals well. This is another that changes voices in the middle of the song. From short hair to long hair this time contrasting the others that changes the voices. It sounds good.

Leona - Her voice fits this song well. Sounds nice all around. I`m into it.

*Belmond - It`s been a couple days since I listened to the King covers, so the break gave me time to clear my mind. The first though I had after listening to Belmond`s version is wow. He made the song his own. The first 30-ish seconds was quite the first impression. I thought it was really cool. The entire instrumental felt like that to me, it was nice. Belmond`s voice is so powerful in this song. It sounds good, and it complements the instrumental well. The video itself is also nice. The smoke is a nice touch.

I`m done! Wow, that took some time. I was probably more open to the starting ones than the rest. I guess that`s what happens after listening to the same song so many times. I`ll take a long break from this song haha. 

 Anyway, here is a list of the standouts:

Flare: She was the first cover I listened to and I do really like it.

Reine: This one was very good. Definitely worth a listen.

Roboco: This was very unique. 

Nanana: The change is pretty cool.

Inamtr: This one gave me a laugh.

Mafumafu feat.  nqrse: Another unique one.

*Melissa: Yeah, I thought this one was nice.

*Belmond: This might be recency bias kicking in, but still.

*gasp* a replies post! A long replies post! A long replies post where I overshare again! *o* Yeah I kinda missed doing these. I’m now at home, but won’t be for much longer. First, I’m going to meet some of my new classmates on Friday and I’ll spend the whole weekend with them! We’re going somewhere...well I don’t even know where that is, just that it’s in nature and I’ve never been there before! Thank gods we’re meeting at the main station in Prague, or else I wouldn’t get there myself. Then on Moday, I have to go to my uni, and then once more on Wednesday I think? And on Wednesday, I’ll have to wake up at 4 am. my LiFe Is SoOoOOOoO HaRd oH mY gOd. No, I’ll be fine.

And a month from now, I’ll be moving to my dorm. That’s some crazy stuff. I can’t believe it’s happening. Last week, my dad actually took me to Prague and we went to see where it is. The location reminds me a lot of my home, but I won’t tell you what exactly that is because no one needs to know that. Anyway, school starts in October. I’m actually looking forward to studying, but the “living alone in a big city with people I’ve never seen before” part is scary. D: I’ll give you updates.

Anyway, today was a weird day. First, I sat alone by the lake when these two guys came and talked to me (I didn’t mind that actually, they were kinda nice), then when I got up and said I had to go home, one of them complimented my legs...which would’ve been really nice but then he basically implied he’d go to bed with me...and like literally five minutes ago he said he had a girlfriend...basically men are scary. Then later, mum and I went grocery shopping and I saw my middle school crush with his girlfriend...and decided that his girlfriend is cute, way cuter than him actually...bisexual culture I guess, crushing on your middle school crush’s girlfriend lmao. Then we went to pay for our groceries and the cashier...was my childhood friend who also happened to be my first crush and also my last crush and these days I’m wondering if I’m really crushing on him or if I’m just holding onto him because I don’t know any better. Long story but if you ever feel like I have a thing for childhood friends to lovers trope, maybe blame him.

*hugs* We're our own worst critics. I used to cringe at my old stuff too, but really it was decent. I might have learned more since then, but it was still good. I'm glad you can see the good in yours. :)

I’m definitely not as hard at my younger self anymore. I went and read some of my stories written when I was 13-14, and I tried to look at it that way. They weren’t perfect, but maybe they were good for a child of that age. I mean, I always got good grades on my writing homework, and my teachers have always liked how I worked with words, so...yeah, it’s not perfect, but I’m not going to have perfectly fleshed out characters and storylines when I have barely even understood that the world isn’t just black and white, good and evil. There are shades inbetween.

That got deep again but I have a lot of feelings about this and I’m sorry to my younger writer self for how I’ve treated her. Keep going, kid.

Also (I’ll never shut up about this)...why is there a female-presenting nipples rule when it clearly can’t ever tell female and male nipples apart? I’m just saying. And yes I get it, for AI it sure has to be difficult to tell such things apart but in my opinion that’s exactly why they should get rid of it and only incorporate it when it can tell it apart. Thank you for your feedback! I think it would be no more than one Word page of text. Which is a lot still but I think that’s the maximum I’d go for. And I mean, I’d show all the important moments. It’s just, I guess I don’t need ten different pictures of the same conversation when these people are just standing next to each other. And it doesn’t need to be split into ten different posts either.

I’ll figure it out, don’t worry.

Can I tell you about my day?

Okay, haha sooo

I was sick for like 3 weeks straight right. I went into work today. It was hectic. There was this good looking couple that came in. The dude was super tall like 6'6" and I felt like a midget. He had a very cute wife who was playful with me. It wasn’t flirty. She was just open. The guy had a trump supporter hat on. “Trump for president” and he was bigger than me, he was actually really handsome. The hat was offputting. So I was working the fitting room and he stood there waiting for his wife. Well, this other lady who tried on clothes gave HIM her clothes as if he was working there hahaha. Me and him both started laughing. I was like wow she didn’t even LOOK, LOL, WE LOOK NOTHING ALIKE. And he’s laughing and said it made his night. He patted my back. Lmao. We made small talk and it was a lil awkward. You can tell like, we aren’t the same. He’s super right wing, I’m more left but in the middle, still wouldn’t wear a trump supporter anything of course. Honestly I liked him but he was just. Idk. He had a camo shirt, jeans, very very southern lol. So like. Yeah when he left he waved to me and said bye. I thought that was rather sweet actually.

After work I went to the bar for the first time in forever. Cause I was sick so long. Uh I met the regulars. This one guy said he liked my besrd but hated my hair. The others were like “the thing is you have beautiful hair…. But you wear it like THAT” and all I could say is I like it like this. So yeah. That dude ended up buying us all a drink lmao, Eddie was his name. Older dude. Definitely drunk but yeah he kept repeating himself.

Okay anyway, I met Sam, the waitress who now is actually my friend and actually trusts me as a person. Which is sweet.

She asked if I was gonna be at Whataburger. She wanted to hang out with me and just me. Sweet.

So I go to Whataburger. She said she was gonna be off in 30 mins. So like. One of my buddies wanted to ask her out. He got her number. I cheered him on. He wanted me to hype him up. And I tried but she told me she’s not into him. There was another guy she said bye to and said “see that guy is more my type” and I was like SAM?! HIM?! and I was so like, lol. Wtf. Lol she likes nerdy guys, dad bods. That combo. Yikes. But whatever floats your boat. She’s very cute.

So I went to whataburger. This dude calls out to me. Kind of a weird dude. And he’s like “yo I saw you at the bar” and we talked. And he said this to me. I’m so tired of hearing this and I don’t understand where it’s coming from or why I’m exuding this vibe. He said “yeah man I don’t wanna be offensive but I thought you were gay” and I’m like no dude. I’m not. We got into talking. He asked who I was waiting for. He asked like, “if you don’t mind me asking” and I said “Sam” and he was really iffy and said he didn’t want to intrude on anything between me and Sam. I said lmao just go for it dude, me and her are just friends. And I said whatever happens happens, I don’t even know. And he said she gave him her number. He showed me their texts. Lmao he texted her multiple times and she never responded. In my head I was like, bro give up, she’s really not interested. Even I know that. Jesus. Um but, yeah lol. He actually stayed there forever just cause he knew she was gonna come by. It was a bit creepy. He literally stayed with me just to see Sam cause he knew she was coming to see me. As I talked to him. I got a phone call from her. And I couldn’t hear her and I went outside. I told her “SAM WTF, WHY DO YOU HAVE YET ANOTHER GUY INTO YOU, THIS DUDE JOSH, YOU GAVE HIM YOUR NUMBER YESTERDAY?! HAHA HE’S HEAR -WAITING- FOR YOU” and she’s like creeped out by him now. I tell her “do you want me to get rid of him” cause I can. She took too long, so much so that he came out, and I was like SHIT HE SAW US, I WAS GONNA TELL HIM SOMEONE ELSE CALLED ME. OMFG. and at the same time, the guy at Whataburger who always hits on her had just gotten there. I told Sam “HAHA the guy who hits on you all the time is here, he literally just got here as soon as you called me HAHAHA” and she was like “omg noooo! Wtf! Are you serious! I just wanted to hang out with you!” And I said lmao I can get rid of him. But she was on her way. Oof. She actually thought I was elsewhere. She was gonna meet me up somewhere else. But we’re going to a concert in a few weeks. She wants me to take her to the mosh pit. It’ll be insane. One of my favorite metal bands is playing. Lmao my homie who asked her out tonight asked her to a concert. LMFAO. But she’s going with me now. Omfg. I feel bad but she’s not into them. Omfg she said I’d look terrible with glasses, I said “BISH I LOOK CUTE AS FUCK WITH GLASSES” I love fucking with her. She’s such a dick.

I’m not looking for anything. I never get anything. I’m always a safety blanket for women, women I like, and they keep me by while I watch them get with other guys. Actually, that’s how it used to be for me, but, I guess it’s happening again, and I’ll take it cause you know why? Cause girls have been totally rejecting my friendship. So the fact that Sam is actually a friend, I’ll take it!

Also the guy, Josh, who waited with me, I dropped him off to his car. He was too drunk to drive earlier but he said he thought I looked like Russell Brand. Wooow haven't heard that in a while.

And there was another drunk guy who stopped me and was like "HEY YOU'RE THAT COMEDIAN, HES ENGLISH, UH UH" and I said "yeah? I'm Russell Brand?" And he flipped out and said yes. His girl was like "no don't listen to him!" And she cowered away embarrassed as fuck.

Yeah I'm annoyed. I love Russell Brand, but I don't look like him. I have crazyish hair and a beard but come on. And I'm also not fucking gay. I've never dealt with this before. But yeah

A lot of ppl shitting on my hair. It's longer than usual but. Meh.

Turbulence in LA Hi-Touch

Here it is!! Finally had time to sit down and write about this. I was supposed to post this like two days ago but I got sick and I’m preparing for my snowboarding trip!! Hope you enjoy reading about my experience~

 ♥ Okay so the concert ends and we were chillin in our seats and Danny tells people with P1 to get in line and P2 people to fill up the seats in the front. While we were sitting, Elliot Yamin and Sanjoy come out from behind the stage and my friend and I were the only ones that knew them so we said hi to them! They finished setting up for photo-op and the boys come back out. My friend and I move even closer and we sit front and center because the seats were empty!

♥ Jaebum was being a little dork while he was taking pictures so I obviously crack up and I guess I was laughing really loudly because he looked at me and that was basically our first time meeting eyes and I was like “fuck he’s looking at me” and he just smirks, sticks his toungue out, and looks away and I’m like EXCUSE ME YOU RUDE ASS HOE!! Literally I died and went to heaven like my bias did that to me!!

♥ The photo-op goes on and Jaebum and Jackson were talking and we decided to just fuck it and call out the boys’ names. We shouted, “Jackson!” and he like perked up his head and looked around to see who called him. JB pointed at us and Jackson looked and we threw finger hearts at him and he literally raises his arms and makes the biggest heart over his head and we died LOL JB and him started laughing and I wanted to cry because I was like “wow jackson i love you”

♥ We called out Mark’s name next and he was already looking at us and we also threw finger hearts at him. He gave us the cutest smile and gave us a little shrug and gave us finger hearts too <3333 A girl came up with a wedding veil and she sat in front of Yugyeom and he was so fucking confused he looked around and we made eye contact and we both shrugged our shoulders at the same time and I was gonna tell my friend that Yugyeom was looking at me but she was having a stare down with Jinyoung LOOOL basically the boys kept looking at us because we kept messing with them lol

♥ We finally get in line for hi-touch and we were stuck in the same spot in for a good five minutes probably and I didn’t realize that Mark’s family was sitting literally right where we were standing lol Papa Tuan was really nice and said hi to us and he asked us if we had a good time and he was just the sweetest!! Kylie and Leila were running around and bumped into us and I was like AHHH BABIES Tammy and Joey apologized and I was like no, I’m sorry for being in their way T_T 

♥ The line finally moves and we were getting near the stage and my friend starts freaking out and runs behind me and tells me to go first. I literally didn’t know what to say and I didn’t want to be basic but I couldn’t process anything!! Kevin was there again and he was like “have fun up there, ladies ;)” and we were like “thanks!!!” I was gonna tell the girls in front of me to take it slow so we can have more time but THEY FUCKIN RAN ACROSS THE STAGE AND JUST GOT HI FIVES I was like SHIT NOW WHAT

♥ The girls basically finished when I was still walking up the stage so the boys were all waiting for me and I didn’t realize until now but they were probably all staring at me while I was talking to each member FUCK MY LIFE

♥ JACKSON: The first person was Jackson and when he saw me he gave me the biggest smile ever cause he recognized us from when we were sitting in the front and he was like “Ahhh!” and obviously I was like “Ahhh!!!!” LOOOL I tried to stay calm but inside I was like holy fuck. I was just going to hi-five him but he grabbed my hand with both of his hands and he said “Hey! Happy New Year!” and I wasn’t expecting that so I literally said “Aww, you’re so sweet, Jackson! Happy new year to you too!” and his voice was soooo deep like is this what angels sound like?? My friend was taking her sweet ass time walking up the stage I didn’t see her until after the hi-touch was over HAHA

♥ JAEBUM: I was gonna say something else to Jackson but then Jaebum literally reaches over, moves Jackson’s hand and grabs my hand and I was SHOOK I was like excuse me I’m trying to talk to Jackson but at the same time you’re my bias so!! When I saw him up close I literally felt like it was just me and him there like y’all he is so so handsome it’s unbelievable. While I was talking to him, Jackson was still looking at me because my friend wasn’t there yet and I was so nervous! I spoke to him in Korean and I said “Oppa, you’re really handsome~” cause we all know he likes compliments and he does the eye smile thing and puts his head down and looks up again and says “No~ but thank you so much and I hope you had a good time” and he gives me the biggest smile and I was like AHHHHHHHH I LOVE YOU MY SHY BABY BOY I was literally holding on to his hand for dear life but I knew I had to keep moving :(

♥ YOUNGJAE: Next was Youngjae and honestly I didn’t really talk to him cause I still in shock about JB but Youngjae is so handsome. Like I finally saw him and was like damn you’re a cutie!! Literally felt like the sun was in the room HE WAS GLOWING. I said “Good job tonight, Youngjae, you killed it!” and he was like “Yeah, man~” and I could have cried right there and then like Youngjae speaking English is my weakness LOL

♥ YUGYEOM: This boy is tall af!! I remember I had to look up at him and y’all I didn’t realize how cute he actually is. He grabbed my hand and looked at me and I was so busy comparing our height difference I forgot to say something LOL So he was just grabbing my hand and I was like shit girl you gotta talk haha I talked to him in Korean as well and told him he was an amazing dancer and singer and that my friend behind me was in love with him lool but he literally was just staring at me and I just looked at him like “you good, son?” He was literally staring into my eyes and was like lost or something then I guess he collected his thoughts cause he was like “oh! thank you~” and did like a little bow and like was shaking my hand kind of

♥ MARK: Now I know why people say Mark is handsome!! Literally I was blown away by him. I stood in front of him and THIS FOOL LOOKS AT ME UP AND DOWN AND I WAS FUCKIN TRIGGERED I literally froze in place and I probably looked stupid af cause I didn’t know what to do!! I collected my thoughts and said “Hey, Mark~ I’m so glad you’re back in LA with your fam, I hope you had a good time here!” and he did his little lip bit thing he always does and he was like “yeah I love being home! I hope you and your friend had a good time at the fanmeeting” and I totally forgot about my friend and I was like wait how did he know I came with my friend and then I remembered how we gave him finger hearts and I was in shock again and all I could do was nod and was like “uh huh :)” 

♥ BAMBAM: While I was talking to Mark, I can hear Bam laughing and I looked over and I saw that him and Jinyoung were looking over at me and Jinyoung had his arm around Bam and it was so cute!!!! I said bye to Mark and scooted over to Bam and he held my hand and I stood there and was amazed again. I always said that Bam always had this like royalty feeling around him and I literally felt that when I stood in front of him. He started laughing again cause I was just standing there and my brain didn’t match what my mouth was saying cause I literally go “Bam..” and he raised and eyebrow and leaned closer and was like “hm?” AND I LITERALLY SAY “you are so. freakin. cute.” and Jinyoung and him crack up and then i was like DID YOU JUST FUCKING SAY THAT YOU DUMBASS and in my head I kept yelling at myself but he nods and smiles at me and says “thanks, cutie ;)” and i was like okaaay i see you :)

♥ JINYOUNG: finally it got to Jinyoung and I was like shit it’s over and my mind was just like ehhhh so I literally squealed “Wangjanim!!!” and he does that laugh where he’s like trying to hold it in and his little eye wrinkles showed and it gave me life!! Bambam literally mimics me and puts his hands up and was like “ahhh wangjanim!~ oh my god!!” and I laugh cause I wasn’t expecting that and Jinyoung laughed and slapped Bam on the shoulder. I said “wooow Bam” and he gave me a finger gun and winked and everyday I’m like Bam is trying to swerve and take JB’s spot T_T Jinyoung thanks me and tells me to be careful walking down the stage and I was walking away from the table but he holds onto my hand and literally doesn’t let go until his arm couldn’t go any farther and i crey 

♥ I stopped at the edge of the stage to wait for my friend and she was still taking her sweet time with Yugyeom HAHA She was holding on to his hand like her life depended on it SHOUT OUT TO THE STAFF FOR NOT RUSHING US! literally saved my life

♥ After that we went outside and wanted to see the boys go but there was so many people waiting near the van so we stood at this one area where no one was but we were able to still see the van. “It’s all your fault (Y/N)” he said smilin

“If he liked me he would’ve said so by now” I said as I was startin to feel tired too

“He probably doesn’t know how to tell you or maybe he wants to make sure you feel the same way”

“Yeah whatever. Anyways did you get your Halloween costume already?”

“Yeah it should be comin in today”

“Cool”

You guys were exhausted as you headed home around 7pm when you saw that you had a text from Sid

 Sid: Hey you doing anything tonight? You read as you thought why he would ask you so late

You: Nope just got out from work why?

Sid: Wow so late?

You: Sounds fun

Sid: I’m sorry its late notice but I wasn’t sure if you’d want to since its mostly family

You: Its cool

     Let me check if the guys would like to come

   Is that okay?

Sid: Yeah of course! And costumes are a requirement since there will be a contest according to Geno haha

You: LOL I’ll let you know in a few thanks!

 You texted your boys to see if they were up for it since it was late. Of course none of them turned down an invitation to a party, especially a costume one, man they were like kids sometimes.

You let Sid know that y’all were comin so he sent you the address. You were really excited to finally wear your costume as you and the guys had agreed to dress up as Justice League, Jake was Superman, Casey was Batman, the others were Flash, Joker, and you of course as Wonder Woman

 As you showed up to Geno’s, Jake turned to you and said “Sid’s not goin to be able to take his eyes off of you butttt I won’t be surprised if he’s a bit intimidated to even say hi haahah”

“What are you sayin?” you said oblivious

“You look hot” the boys said in unison

“Thanks guys” you said tryin not to blush

You rang the bell, as Phil opened the door and saw you, he said “Princess Diana welcome and prayers for Sidney” he chuckled.

As you said hi to everyone, every person told you that you looked just like Wonder Woman and they couldn’t wait to see Sid’s reaction when he came back from the store, the kids really thought that you guys were your characters as their faces lit up.

You were outside talkin to Flower’s wife, Veronique, when you felt someone tap your shoulder, sure enough it was Sidney. Veronique smirked knowin damn well you had stunned Sid.

“Hey Sidney” you said

“(Y/N) you look stunning, well beautiful, uhhh hi, how are you?” he stuttered

“Great, how about you, strugglin over there?” you teased him

“Uhh yeah just a bit” he said scrunchin his nose in the most adorable way, “So Justice League eh” “I dig it” Why is Jake Superman though, like he looks like him but you guys decided to have matching costumes?”

“Nah we just all agreed that he looks like him just as they agreed that I supposedly look like this” you said referrin to your costume, “why is someone jealous?”

“Well you do play it perfectly” he replied dodgin the last question. You noticed that he was dressed as baseball player

You guys went back inside as you couldn’t help but stare at his ass in those pants

Finally Geno announced the winner, Jake and yourself

You noticed that Sid didn’t leave your side but didn’t say much to you either

The boys however loved teasin him about your costume causin him to blush like a redhead in the summer

 As it was around 1am the boys had gone back home to rest, when you realized that Jake had the keys to the house.

You were a bit tipsy from havin a little more than a few of your favorite, Jack and Coke.

You asked one of the girls if they could take you home as Sid of course offered to instead.

The ride to your house was quiet as you noticed that he turned on the radio and changed it to country music, Tim McGraw’s “My Best Friend” was playin as he turned to look at you but didn’t say anythin.

When you guys arrived he walked you to the door but no one answered. Your truck was there but you knew the guys were exhausted from a long day at work and trainin

“Sooo, should we head back to Geno’s?” Sid asked as he tried ringin the bell again

“Nah I have an idea”

“What?”

“Hold my stuff please” you handed your purse to him

Your room was on the second floor with a balcony that was on top of the entrance, you were goin to climb in. Once Sid realized that he started panickin a bit

“(Y/N) are you crazy?!” “Get down!” “Now!”

“SHHHH Sidney ShuSHH” you said puttin your finger lightly on his lips

“Watch and learn but please don’t look at my ass”

“Well its right in my face so sorry” he said sarcastically

“Wooow look Sidney what I can do” you said as you climbed up pretty quickly and got your hidden key to open the balcony door.

You came back down to open the front door to get your stuff from Sid

“I can’t believe you just did that” he said to you in shock

“I’m full of surprises sometimes” you said “thanks for the invite Sidney, I had a nice time tonight”

He hugged you goodbye and you told him to please text you when he got home.

I’d Rather Not Know

Hi there. It’s been a while.

I’ve been hiding in my cave — distracting myself with busyness and indulging in the business of wanting to know what will happen next. All the while I thought I was living in faith, until the anxiety of not knowing what’s next started to eat me up.

Anxiety, you say? Uh.. yeah. I have been in the lowest tide of my faith (yet again) just recently, thinking everything is hopeless and there’s nothing else to look forward to. Taking fear with me in every turn I take in this journey called life. I thought to myself, “Why is God testing me?” Apparently, He was just revealing what’s in my heart. And I am utterly rebuked. He showed me how I wanted to take control of everything, (I want my own version of my life, Lord! Can’t we just revise the things I don’t like?! #graphicdesignerprobs) when in fact He is the one who’s in control and Sovereign.

So yeah, that’s why I’ve been hiding, and It’s been a long while, and now I’m coming out of this prison I made myself. You might wonder, why did I even do this or from what am I hiding from. I believe one reason is that I get to control what’s happening in my tiny niche: I’m busy with the “work” I’m doing, I know the outcome, I can make contingency plans ahead of time just in case things wont turn out fine. I try so hard to focus on it that I neglect to continue on the other things I’ve started before e.g. this blog. To be honest, I was about to take this down, I thought it’s pointless to post here. “Who reads this anyway?!” Earlier this year, I promised myself I’d post an entry here, but then procrastination and doubts came in that I ended up sharing nothing. (I have tons of drafts saved in my laptop huhu). Months have passed and I didn’t even bother checking this page, until my domain automatically renewed. Thanks, GoDaddy. Hahaha. Now I’m forced to make use of this haha! Perhaps the stories I have should be shared, not for all to read, but maybe one or two, and the rest is up to God. And that’s where faith comes in.

Still, I am thankful for this season that I am learning to stretch my faith muscle. I think every season should be exercise season for our faith, ang tagal ko lang talagang tumambay, ang sakit tuloy ng muscles ko. But no pain, no gain. :)

I know He is calling me to live for Him, like a child, with childlike faith. Sometimes I hate growing up and the fact that knowledge is so easily accessible these days because it desensitized me from God’s Sovereign hand upon my life.

And so I’ll take it from here, and I’ll trust Him as He unfolds the succeeding chapters..

I think that’s good enough for my comeback message haha, thank you for reading! :p But if you’d like to stay a bit longer. I’m inviting you to read further as I share my praise report and reflections from the past year (from the date of my previous post) to present. Like I said in my previous post, there were so many movements — from traveling, to transitioning, and to entering a new season. God is moving me indeed, and He has been reaaaaally faithful to me in every step, even at the times I’m not.

This is not to brag about the blessings I received, like I previously said, maybe my stories should be shared. So now I’m jumping out of the boat and walk in water. These things shouldn’t just pass without being shared because God is worthy to be praised and He is always teaching us something, even in the littlest of things. I pray this will encourage you to always be in the attitude of thanksgiving (that is directing toward the one responsible for our blessing), and to never lose sight of God’s goodness upon your life and what He is teaching you along the way.

Most of these were from the draft that was made early this year. It wasn’t entirely eventful, but I believe these were defining moments where God met me and taught something to me.

Around the World (char haha)

Hong Kong was my first travel abroad. I always thought it’d be far-fetched to go back, because let’s face it, we’ve got bills to pay haha! But days before my birthday this year, I got the chance to explore Hong Kong again, with all expenses paid. Just wow. (And I still have a pending post for my 2016 HK Trip lol) It’s a great reminder for me that God can + will provide, and He hears even my silent prayers.

Weeks before the trip, I was in a shuttle en route to Makati. As we drove along Skyway, a plane that’s about to land fled above us. I asked God, “When will I be able to travel again? ...Only You know.” It was a short and random thought, and pinalipas ko lang. Then came the day that I found out we’ll be flying to Hong Kong for our team’s anniversary outing. They were joking me that we’re just going to McDonald’s... Nathan Road. Knowing the slowpoke that I am, it took around 5 seconds to finally sink in that we’re really going to Hong Kong!! I asked myself, “Sa Hong Kong yung Nathan Road... diba?” And my eyes went big! “Shaks, sa Hong Kong nga kami pupunta!” O_O

And so I budgeted for the trip, I allotted 4000 PHP (~600 HKD) for my pocket money. Pero di ko siya napapalitan, ‘di ko alam kahit anong attempt magpapalit walaws talaga. It’s either the bank didn’t have any HKD or the money changer doesn’t sell any HKD. Tapos nalaman na lang namin pagdating ng Hong Kong, bibigyan nila kami ng 1500 HKD as pocket money for the entire stay. (Tinagalog ko na kasi tinamad nako mag-English hahahahaha) I’m like, whaaaat?! Legit all expenses paid?!?! Thank you, Lord. Sobra sobra pa.

I’ve always loved Hong Kong’s architecture. This was taken while were on the Airport bus to Kowloon. I learned that day that Hong Kong airport lies on artificial land. Wow lang!

This was in Causeway Bay. On our last day in Hong Kong this year, there was a typhoon so malls and stores were mostly closed. We wanted to visit IKEA but to no avail. We ended up walking around the vicinity and took photos instead.

I love their city lights at night! This was in Mong Kok. I had a similar shot taken on my 2016 HK trip, pero sa kabilang side naman. Haha! See below.

We stayed in Tsim Sha Tsui throughout the trip. The hotel was a few kilometers away from the train station so we always walk.

And mannn, our hotel room was very nice! Super hi-tech! It made me think what made us deserve this kind of generosity. Look at the remote control! We could’ve stayed in an Airbnb but we didn’t. Wooow.

Di ko talaga kinaya yung generosity nila. Even our Disneyland trip was paid for as well. It was my first time (we went to Ocean Park last year kasi).

Dito muntik maubos pera ko. Hahaha! The stuff they’re selling there were so nice and enticing, it makes you want to get it all, even if you don’t really need it. It made me realize that if you get easily swayed by the things you wanted for yourself, you’ll end up wasting the gift that was given to you. I believe it was a gentle reminder for me to not take the gift God freely and abundantly gave me for granted. :)

I loved the Lion King musical! It made me feel like a kid again. 

Spoiler alert: The plot of the musical was that they are to retell the story of how Simba became king. The songs were uplifting and the production was great! THE CIRCLE OF LYYYYYFFFF~~

My realization: if we are to share the greatest story ever told (i.e. John 3:16), we should be all out. Even if it takes you to share it a million times over and over again, never grow tired of sharing it. Just as how the cast in this musical give their best in every show, everyday.

I think the highlight of my Disneyland trip was the fireworks show. It was so beautiful and magical. I am in awe, and got semi-tearyeyed hehe. If it’s already a wonderful sight here, I wonder what beauty and glory awaits for us in Heaven, where all things are perfected?

A few things I noticed throughout our stay in Hong Kong:

1. People are too fast-paced, busy, and focused on too many things. It’s either they’re looking at their mobile phones or they’re rushing out of the train, walking fast to cross the street. It’s like they are always on to the next thing, which is binding and paralyzing. And that compelled me to pray for their nation. “This nation is Yours. May they see the beauty and freedom of having and knowing You.”

2. Ang ganda ng way finding sa kanila! Clean and minimal.

3. Their train systems are well-maintained and organized. And people know where to fall in line — they follow the signages! I believe our nation is capable of doing that as well, it just really needs to start with ourselves. Hehe.

Thoughts on Flying

My reflection on flying has always been the same: Trust the Captain, because He knows where He’s taking you. It was a turbulent ride en route to Hong Kong, we entered the sea of clouds yet again, and everything we can see was just cottony clouds. It doesn’t make any sense. Why put a window yet enter the sea of clouds?! You could’ve just taken a different path. Now we can barely see anything and it’s turbulent! R u ok, captain?! My palms are sweaty and I’m nervous, but after a few minutes, we’re back to normal flying mode. Haha. Panic agad eh! And that experience revealed my heart. I don’t trust God entirely. Huhu.

That’s our usual response to God. We easily fall to stress, anxiety, worry, pain, etc. that we lose sight of where God is trying to lead us, and we end up sinning. We end up resisting God, leaning on our own understanding, and doing things our own way, because we believe it’s what best for us and we want to resolve tensions as fast as we can. Newsflash: we’re wrong.

It’s human tendency to always want certainty and what lies ahead in the unknown. We want to know the why in everything. We want to know, “Why this path?” “What awaits at the end of this?” “When is this going to be over?” That we neglect to notice we’re losing faith already.

“The problem is we’re always trying to live by sight and call it faith.” Ouch. That was from Ken Wytsma’s book, “The Grand Paradox”. He said in another chapter, “The secret to understanding where to go in life is found not in navigating our way to safety, but rather simply trusting in God’s leading. Trusting that He is good. Trusting that even if we don’t like where He takes us, He’s taking us there for a reason.”

Without trust, there is no faith. Without obedience, there is not faith as well. To trust is to obey God’s Word. To obey is to jump into the unknown move based on trust in a dependable God. I pray we all choose faith than looking around in fear.

Around the Philippines (char ulit haha)

Here in the Philippines, I was blessed with the chance to visit Batangas, Nagsasa, Bacolod, and Baguio, with my family and friends.

September last year, my good friends and I had an overnight trip to Batangas. And I made new animal friends.

Other people might classify me either a dog or a cat person, I don’t think I can ever be on one side. Let’s get things straight, I’m an animal person. I like talking to animals, I feel like we have this ~connection~, there’s just something about their innocent eyes that makes you want to love them dearly. I believe God has given us dominion over these creatures to properly take care of them.

Come November, we went to Nagsasa Cove in Zambales. 

There was no signal reception in the island pero keri lang! A great 2D1N trip away from the busy and noisy that is Metro Manila. I’m not a water person, in fact I’m totally scared of the water, but heeeeeyy I managed the 2hr boat ride + intense swimming against the current (THANK GOD FOR LIFE VESTS AND PEOPLE WHO KNOW HOW TO SWIM HAHA). Also, the view was spectacular! I am stunned and amazed by just how wonderful God’s works are.

My last out of town trip for the year 2016 was in Bacolod. Good food, bro, plus it’s very affordable! Thank God for sumptuous meals. We had a day trip to Lakawon Island too!

We also met our church family and I was immensely blessed by their hospitality and generosity! (They paid for our food most of the time, and they fetch us at our condo everyday and they toured us around Bacolod!)

I guess how grateful you are for what God has done in your life will truly manifest in your life. I’ve never seen a person who is so thankful yet so timid and silent about it. As the song says, “So blessed, I can’t contain it. So much you’ve got to give it away.”

Indeed, if you know in your heart that God is more than enough for you, you won’t think twice about giving to others—you will truly be a cheerful giver, because you know He’s a God who provides for whatever you will need and He’s a God who will never leave you alone.

We were invited to join their event, Jesus Reigns. Thousands of youth were there, praising and proclaiming the name of Jesus. The next generation is on fire, indeed.

Baguio will always have a special place in my heart, and I will always go back! Thankful for the opportunity to be in the city with the people close to me.

I actually can’t remember how I came up with the budget to travel, but one thing is for sure, God has provided. And He has blessed me with wonderful people as I explored these places. Thank God for family and friends! Thank God for we are relational beings, that we are not meant to be alone but to be surrounded with people who will encourage and build us up.

Adjustments

People never liked the idea of change, despite it being the constant thing in this world.

Earlier this year, our church transferred to a new place. Tons of adjustments were made, we used to be in a mall in CBD Makati, and now despite being inside a mall, we’re placed in the middle of a residential area. Different barangays! It’s very exciting to see lives of people in the area transformed by Christ, but it’s not a walk in the park of course.

I am thankful that our pastor has been very open about the struggle of transitioning into a new home and for continually reminding us to be strong as we move forward to where God has called us. Indeed, our present adversities shouldn’t hinder us on the ministry He has blessed us with because He is with us and He didn’t bring us this far just to leave us.

What a wonderful opportunity to grow in faith, in ministry, and in my personal walk. There are discouraging times because there seem to be no fruit for what we’ve been doing, I must admit I’m in the brink of recoiling and giving up in serving Him, because I didn’t know what’s next. It seemed redundant! But God revealed my heart again, and I am rebuked. He reminded me that it’s not about what I see or what I feel, all of what we’re doing is for Him. And if it’s for Him, it will never be in vain. It’s also a season where God is teaching us to persevere and pray harder. The enemy is indeed at work, he wants people to give up, so God’s work will be delayed. But we should not give him a foothold of what he wants. Kaya push lang. Laban lang.

A New Season

I thought this would be the easiest part to write, but now I’m lost for words. Actually, words aren’t enough to show my gratefulness to God for blessing me with a great partner, Steven. :) Yieeeeee haha! Indeed, there is a season for everything. And this season comes with lessons and discipline, it’s continually teaching me to be selfless, loving, understanding, to be more focused on giving rather than receiving, and to be more obedient.

To me he’s the greatest musician. He’s my listening ear, my shoulder to cry on (literally), and my comedian. He likes to make puns out of the store names whenever we’re in a mall, and I can’t help but laugh. He knows how to make me burst in laughter! He always tells me how he loves seeing me smile. And I love seeing him smile too, most especially when he’s about to order that slice of cake/blizzard/glass of coke. HAHAHAHA.

I praise God for your life and I thank Him for showing love through you. You always make me happy. You remind me to be grounded on Him when I start to falter. And you hold my hand and hug me when the anxious kid in me starts to kick in. Hehe. Thank you for always encouraging me to push through with the things I thought I couldn’t do, like this blog.

You are a great blessing to me. I will always support you and your leadership, and I’ll continue to grow on being a suitable helper for you. We’ve got a looong looooooong way to go and I’m happy to be in this journey with ya. Apir!!! ;)

I wonder what’s the next move? Sovereign Lord, only You know. I always ask You, what’s Your plan for me? And I am reminded that I’d rather not know the entire plan, because trusting in Your goodness is much much better and rewarding.
