“Come on man.” The pilot of Gundam Dynames whined through the door of Virtue’s pilot’s room. “You said you’d do one thing with me for my birthday, and I’m cashing it in now. I promise you’ll like it.” Now for anyone to come in on this part of the conversation it would sound rather bad. But it was relatively innocent. Lockon just wanted Tieria to go to his home town with him for St. Patrick’s day. You could call it a date. The sniper only wanted to show the other some of the fun things Earth had. And what better time then to hang out in Ireland on St. Patrick’s day? He’d make sure the other wore something green. The one big down side to this plan is Lockon often got drunk. He always had a room reserved at a locale hotel so he had a safe place to sleep off any hang over. However Tieria wasn’t a drinker. This might not have been the best idea for a date but it would be fun, for Lockon at lest.

summary of 2021   JANUARY   1. Who kissed you on new years? I was asleep at mindight lol.

2. Did you have a new year’s resolution this year? No, I never both making resolutions as I think January is absolutely the worst time to start making life changes, lol. The weather is awful, it’s dark all the time and nobody wants to be out doing things.

3. Does it snow where you live? Yeah, but not very often. We have snow on the fells from probably November-March but rarely down below.

4. Do you like hot chocolate? Hmm, I like the idea of it more than the reality, lol. The best chocolate I’ve ever had was in Italy and it was basically melted chocolate plus a bit of cream lol.

5. Have you ever been to Times Square to watch the ball drop? No, I’ve never been to America before. I kind of like the idea of going to Times Square but I suspect I’d actually find it incredibly overwhelming and noisy.

FEBRUARY   1. Who was your Valentine? Well, my husband I guess.

2. When you were little did you buy Valentine’s for the whole class? No, that wasn’t really a “thing” here. I remember baking cookies or whatever sometimes but we never did cards.

3. Do you care if the groundhog sees its shadow or not? Again, not a thing here.

MARCH   1. Are you Irish? Nope.

2. Do you like corned beef and cabbage? It sounds absolutely horrendous lol. It’s not something I’ve ever tried - I don’t like corned beef though so I’m going to guess not.

3. What did you do for St. Patty’s Day in 2021? Nothing - we don’t celebrate it.

4. Are you happy when winter is pretty much over? Yes and no. I don’t miss the rain and the mud but I like how much quieter it is to go dog-walking in the winter months.

APRIL   1. Do you like the rain? Only if I don’t have to be out in it.

2. Did you play an April fool’s joke on anyone this year? No.

3. Do you get tons of candy on Easter? I don’t get given any but I might buy myself an egg or two if there are any decent ones on offer when I’m in the supermarket.

4. Did you celebrate 4/20? No.

5. Did you love the month of April? Sure, it’s nice enough.

MAY   1. What is your favorite flower? Sunflowers, pink and white roses, lilies.

4. Is May anything special to you? Nope, but I do love the weather in May.

JUNE   1. What year did/will you graduate from high school? I graduated in 2007.

3. Have a favorite baseball team? Baseball is pretty much non-existent here.

JULY 1. What did you do on the 4th of July? Again, this doesn’t apply to me, lol.

3. Do you blast the A/C all day? We don’t have A/C,

4. Do you celebrate July 26th? I don’t know what the relevance of that date is. AUGUST   1. Were you doing anything special at the end of your summer? I worked all summer but I did have a couple of weeks off at the end of August. I mostly slept and just enjoyed not being at work, lol.

2. What was your favorite summer memory of ‘21? The weather, my business picking up etc.

3. Did you have a sunburn? I’m sure I did at some point - I work outside in all weathers, so.

4. Did you go to the pool a lot? No. We don’t have a pool anywhere near here but I spent a lot of time down the beach.

SEPTEMBER   1. Were you attending college/​​​​​​​​​school?​​​​​​​​​ Nope. I’ve been done with school since 2011.

2. Did you like fall better than summer? Yeah, just because it meant everything was much quieter so work is FAR less stressful lol.

3. Were you single? No.

OCTOBER   1. What was your last Halloween costume? I’ve never dressed up for Halloween in my life.

2. What is your favorite candy? Reese’s, skittles, jelly tots.

3. What was your favorite thing about this month, October? Uhh, I don’t remember a specific favourite thing that stands out.

NOVEMBER 1. Whose house did you go to for Thanksgiving? Nobody’s.

2. What were you thankful for? Well, I’m thankful for my family and my friends and my clients.

3. Do you love stuffing? Yes.

4. What was the saddest thing about this month? Nothing specific comes to mind right now.

DECEMBER   1. Do you celebrate Christmas? We do Christmas dinner but that’s about it.

2. Have you ever been kissed under the mistletoe? Nope.

3. Get anything special last year? I got a painting from my dad, a beach ride from my mum and a voucher for wax melts from Mike.

4. What do you want this year? I have no clue as of yet, were only in January lol.

5. Do you like cold weather? Overall, yes, but only a specific kind of cold.

6. Was your Christmas good? Yes.

Since things are tough right now, if you don't mind sharing, what are some things that happened in 2019 that made you happy?

i’m always down for sharing some happiness. i’ll even throw in some pictures because why not. let’s see...

took a relaxing trip to maine with my besties, where we spent the days writing fic and eating lobster and finding lighthouses hidden in the woods and watching sunrises and sunsets out on the cove at our adorable little airbnb. went home to new orleans and saw family and friends i hadn’t seen in years, had a long and indulgent brunch with my favorite aunt, spent an afternoon window shopping on magazine street, ate poboys and gumbo and beignets and thought a lot about the ways that food becomes part of who we are.

visited friends in seattle where we took ferry rides and went hiking at mt rainier and got high on a boat and took an italian for her first ever visit to an olive garden. spent the summer drinking aperol spritzes and going to concerts and doing lots of writing at my favorite local park while staring at the mountains. got a chance to hang out with my nieces and nephew who live 1200 miles away. 

^ this. started this blog. taught myself how to gif. published 78k words of fic. spent a day shopping in the rain with bea and karin and claire. went to four up close and personal shows (and cried at every single one of them lol). crocheted myself a hat with cashmere yarn i bought from romni in goodwood. decided to start a podcast. had a happy cry in the motel parking lot in orangeville. spent hours watching episodes with julie. just generally got to know lots of lovely people because of this fandom.

had a bob ross paint-along party. checked out tons of local events with my work friends--chili cook-offs, a food truck competition, restaurant week, great american beer fest, a st patty’s day pub crawl complete with green beer at my fav local brewery and then way too many irish car bombs. ALL the trivia nights. jumped in a bouncy castle with my boss and coworkers at a children’s birthday party. met a friend’s tortoise. laughed like a fool while playing songs on a keyboard that made cat sounds.

dyed my hair pink and purple for pride month. went to my first rockies game. set a record for the fastest escape at a local escape room. won my fantasty football league. took long, luxurious baths. stopped at voodoo doughnuts every time i was out that direction. decorated my new office. took two of my coworkers on their first trip to ikea. made friends with the guy who works at culvers and is always there when we come in for happy hour. bought way too many pairs of glasses. drove around with the windows down, singing as loud as i could. played in the snow. as often as possible, stopped and appreciated all of the things that happened in my life to bring me to exactly where i am right now.
