Sigyn walked through the halls, shaking her head as the twins raced each other. It was Vali who saw their father first. 

“Papa!”

Sigyn was just grateful that Adnai and Namaah had not only blessed their union but seemed genuinely fond of their children. It was more than she had ever dared hoped for.

Adnai paused and beamed. 

“It looks like our meeting will be cut short, Hello little rose.”

“Hello grandpa! Did Papa tell you? We’re going on a picnic today!’

“Is that so? That’s wonderful!”

He turned to Aidon. 

“Where are you going? Inside the Marble City or outside?”

Nari on the other hand walked quietly by his mother’s side, still thinking of the way Loki had yelled at him this morning.

“Hi Papa.”

Adnai rose an eyebrow but didn’t comment, he’d never liked it when others had told him how to parent the children in his care.

Sigyn beamed and kissed his cheek, a hand resting on the back of Nari’s head hoping to comfort him, he was a sensitive soul after all.
