Something else I’d like to add to this is that Mindy Kaling doesn’t seem to get how to write queer characters. All the queer bits in TSLOCG feel so unnatural to the point that it comes off like how conservatives view college. Even Cruz’s character in it feels so unlike her other roles. She literally bonded with her love interest because they’re both “normal” lesbians

The way the official tslocg Instagram account’s promotion for this season has been using Ruby Cruz as the focal point on several posts, when she’s barely had any screen time (especially the video they just posted from ep8, where Ruby has 10 seconds of screentime in the ep, yet is the cover photo) is truly such a wild way to bait/keep the sapphic audience who originally watched the show for the lesbian representation

(At this point they’ve practically featured her more on ig than Kacey and Taylor who are the new regulars)

•Jackie is glad she didn't commit to taming any rabbits.

•Lottie's too busy gathering clay for her flower pots to care for the mayhem going on across the river.
