Bella is stoned, let’s talk religion and shit!
My ass took a muscle relaxer cause my fibro said fuck you so imma ramble about my mom and religion because fuck yeah
Probs the muscle relaxer in my system but there’s stuff about marvel rivals that’s comforting
Yall see how my mom is about shoving Christianity toxically
Like I’m a person who believes in all religions
It just so happens my path is under a Norse deity. No big deal
But being Lokean is isolating. Not many people practice it
So there’s a massive comfort in being able to play my god and win games for him
Vikings have a strong tradition and belief of fighting for your honor and to die fighting is the blessing one wishes for
What is a better way to worship then like that?
To fight AS your god, and win battles in their name?
Not a ‘traditional’ way to practice but like. This is Loki
The God of chaos
*The God of change*
And change happens. Wether you like it or not
Change can be uncomfortable
But change can be good in the same breath
Praise be Loki
May thy mother bless you with laughter and change

Seven Sentence Sunday
A sneak peak of Lokius’ first kiss from my WIP Priest AU.
“What did you wish for, Mobius?” Loki asked instead.
His eyes locked onto Mobius’ lips as he wet them with his tongue. “I think you know already, don’t you?”
Loki wasn’t sure which of them made the soft needy sound when their lips finally met, but he knew he’d been the one to close the distance between them for the kiss. It was sweet to start, sweeter than the cupcakes he’d brought, featherlight caresses of their lips as they learned each other. Loki felt Mobius’ arm stretch out, heard the rosary and its box set down, and then he was sighing as Mobius’ hands came up to cup the back of his neck. He tipped his head, flicking his tongue against Mobius’ mouth, inviting him to deepen the kiss and rejoicing when Mobius did.

It has officially been 1 year since I started my Pagan journey.
Last year (2023) on Boxing Day, I came across the account @/oreamnosoddities on instagram reels. At the time the only religion i had been exposed to enough to be a practitioner of was Catholocism. I was raised and baptised Catholic, I was sent to a Catholic school that was borderline cult-indoctrination where we were banned from speaking of other gods and religions, and if we came across a book or any form of media that painted members of other religions in a favorable light, we were to report it so it could be removed from the school premises and the author would be permanently banned from discussion in the school. There were many aspects of this school that pushed me away from Catholocism, and I officially publicly declared myself as a non-catholic in 2020 at age 14. This did not go down well with my mother, as was expected. She stopped speaking to me for several weeks, and was more mad about that than finding out I'm transgender. She realised she no longer had religious control over me (she used religion as a form of punishment.) this caused a lot of tension between us, with her often forcing me to pray the rosary with her and go to mass with her.
Most teenagers enter their rebellious phase and decide to do drugs and underage drinking and sneaking out of the house, but for me, my form of rebellion was learning about other religions. It started small, with looking at posts muslim women would make about wearing hijab, but then somewhere down the line, i started consuming media that was banned in our home (Harry Potter - that was mostly fanfic and fanart, the Thor movies, Moana, and anything that had gods from other religions and pantheons in it because it was all banned) and at first, it was just learning about others. Other people's cultures and religions, and knowing my mother didn't want me to know all of this. She wanted me to remain relying on her for everything, but i didn't want that. And so, with everything I was learning, I began to distrust everything she said, distancing myself from religion, but then, 1 Year ago, I came across the instagram account from above, and I scrolled. And scrolled. And scrolled. And the more I watched, the more I realised i wanted that. I couldn't explain what *that* was, but i knew it was something I wanted. I didn't want the catholic holidays and the god who didn't want me, i wanted a god that cared and would listen. And soon I realised i was being reached out to by Loki, and so began my work.
As of now, it remains as only offerings and prayers, as I still live at home, but one day it may become more than that.

I'm planning on making a round of rosaries to sell my on my shop, since all but one are sold out at this point, and I have been thinking for a while I'd like to make a set of devotional beads that are dedicated to specific deities, spiritual traditions, or even concepts. As such, I'm curious to know what sorts of devotional beads people would be interested in seeing!
So, if you'd like to, reblog this with one or more types of devotional beads you think I should make and sell! Examples include things like 'a Rosary dedicated to Loki', 'a Rosary dedicated to ancestral worship', or 'a Rosary dedicated to the powers of Water'. Anything goes, so feel free to be as specific as you'd like! I guarantee to look at every single suggestion, and I will more than likely end up creating some of them in the end. :~)

Happy (late) Fuck Columbus Day
What's up, so yesterday I was heading to work and Loki told me "hey bro, get rid of that fucking cross in your car."
The cross/rosary in question was the one that my mom got me a few years ago, and I'm honestly surprised that it lasted this long. It used to be pink, and then it warped into a VERY faded lavender after about a month in the sun.
I don't really LIKE having a cross in the car because, you know... *gestures to paganism blog*, but since I live with my very Catholic mom and I am averse to conflict, I still worried about getting rid of the rosary in case Mom asked questions about it.
And Loki was like "She's not gonna ask QUESTIONS about whether you broke it intentionally, Cyborg! She's gonna assume it finally broke because it's been out in the sun for so long that it's fucking CHANGED COLOR. Anyway, fuck Columbus and Catholicism."
So I parked and went, "Okay then, time to break it and pretend to be annoyed when I get home."
I am constantly glad that I have a multi-tool in case I need a screwdriver, pliers, or a tiny knife, so I just used the pliers to break a link in the chain.
When I was at work, I actually got a decent amount of tips. A lot of people who wanted to BOWL instead of going to the beach probably knew that we, the employees, would rather have gone to the beach or chilled at home as well.
I suspected that Loki was behind it, so just in case, I thanked him for the extra money.
And he was like, "I didn't tell you to break the rosary so I could give you more tips. I told you to do it because you hate colonizers and you hate Catholicism, so not seeing a cross on your way to work is one less problem to deal with."
At home I brought the rosary inside and told Mom it broke, and she did indeed assume that it was hanging in the sun for too long.
Unfortunately she also said, "well, just fix it when you can and then put it back in the car." Maybe if she finds out the chain's link has actually broken apart, and there's no way to string the loose bead back on, she'll keep it.
Loki was unexpectedly reassuring. He just went "Hey, one day without a rosary in the car is still progress. You are willing to do stuff, even if other people send you back to square one. New year, new life, Cyborg. I will get you the fuck out of this place because it seems like nobody else wants to do it."

Chapter 1:
“Here! Drop us right here!” Rocket yelled.
Thor braced for impact and dropped Rocket and Groot down onto the battlefield with him.
It was nice to reunite with some old friends, Steve Rogers and the like but, talking in between killing some minor beasts was like killing wolves: there was nothing especially heroic or special about it. They didn’t need the mightiest Avenger for this…
There he was, the titan himself. Thor could barely see him through the trees, but purple and gold weren’t exactly camouflage colors.
Thor charged up Stormbreaker and aimed right for the monster’s head.
He was blown backward as it made impact, barely able to hang onto the handle-- no, wait-- entirely unable to hang onto the handle. He skidded on the dusty ground, landing on his side and scraping his arm over several sharp rocks, bruising a few ribs.
He jumped up as quickly as he could, ready to land a second or third hit but Thanos did not move.
The ax was shaken out and removed from in between his lifeless eyes.
No one could have survived that, Thor concluded. The top half of the blade had gone cleanly through, burying itself in a rock behind the titan’s head, that was beginning to look like a crushed melon.
Then, Thor saw the gauntlet, cracked and shattered like a cheap plastic, which only brought his eyes to the stones. They were splayed everywhere, all over the forest floor, smashed into tiny pieces.
Thor sank to his knees and pressed the shards to his chest.
The moment was gone. The light was dying from them, flickering and fading.
He brought them up to his forehead, not minding the sharp edges as he pressed them into his skin in a handful like a string of rosary beads, letting them cut him.
He knew the fight was over, but screams and sobs were still ever present and loud through the forest.
“C’mon… C’mon… please…” he mumbled under his breath.
Then, dust.
The ashes slipped through his fingertips as he doubled over, overcome with grief.
A hand pressed against his shoulder. “Thor… what did you do?”
“Wanda!” Thor cried, throwing his hands around the woman, mostly because she was the only face he saw. “I… I got him, but the stones...”
“You brought Loki back…?” she thought to ask. Over the death and casualties,Thor’s crying, the implications of the stones, that was all she could
The still body was lying limp a few feet away.
Thor’s eyes widened and he broke from the hug. “Did I?!” he asked. “Loki? Brother?! Can you hear me?” he rolled Loki over on the dirt to get a good look at his face.
Loki didn’t look dead, at least not in the same way he had been. His battle scars were mended, and the coloration in his face had been restored from a sickly purple to a pale, but rose dusted, porcelain.
He finally moved. He was breathing again.
He rubbed his eyes sleepily but didn’t directly respond, rolling over and going back to sleep.
Thor didn’t wait for him to sit up on his own, picking him up instead. Normally, Loki would have protested this, but he obviously needed to be looked at by a doctor, and Thor needed to tell the armies that the battle was over, they had won! He wasn’t about to leave his brother out here alone.
He put Loki over his shoulder, as if his brother were drunk, wearing his lanky body like a scarf.
“You brought Loki back and not Vision?!” she cried, overcome with grief.
Thor didn’t know what to say. He couldn’t! He only had one wish! And… Loki was the thing at the forefront of his mind. But those words didn’t come out. “I need to get him to a medic!” was all that he could say. No excuses, no explanations, just that.
The battlefield had largely quieted, but soldiers still stood on guard, waiting for another wave of enemies.
“We won!” Thor yelled as he passed. “I killed Thanos!” He wasn’t even sure if anyone heard him or if they understood, but in that moment, it felt like there were more pressing matters.
Blood from his own face spread to Loki’s as he ran towards the palace as fast as his legs would carry them, eventually using his ax to fly up to a balcony, landing in one of the grand rooms.
“You look awful!” Shuri was there to greet them.
“We need medical attention,” he breathed.
“He looks alright… You…? Come with me.”
Chapter 2:
“Just look him over! He’s been raised from the dead!”
“Raised from the dead?” She didn’t believe him. “I knew you Asgardians were superstitious but… even I--”
“With the stones! I brought him back, but they were broken. Please, just take a look at him. Make sure he’s okay-- that he’s real!”
Thor laid his brother down in the medical center. Loki moaned in his sleep as he was put on the cool table.
There were many warrior bodies around them.
If there was any place Thor felt he could trust, it was this one.
He kissed Loki’s forehead, leading the sickly looking God to rub his eyes and face feverishly again.
“Loki, I’ll be right back. You’re going to be fine.”
The Wakandan girl paused. “You should be lying down, too!” she protested.
“I have something else to take care of first.”
A crowd, mostly of familiar faces, had formed outside the door. Thor could hear them talking.
“What did you do?!” several of them asked at all different rates, ranges, and tones, ranging from overjoyed to horrified.
“I killed Thanos!” he bragged, running his finger along the side of his axeblade. “Struck him right in the middle of his forehead.” He chuckled as if it were a goal in a sports game and not the defeat of the universe’s greatest threat.
“What about Loki?!” Wanda asked, angrily.
“Loki?” several voices asked.
“You brought Loki back?” Steve Rogers asked.
“The stones were breaking and dying! What else was I supposed to do?”
“Oh, I don’t know Thor, maybe not bring back the monster that destroyed New York?” Tony Stark was being radioed in through someone’s phone.
“He’s my brother! And he’s changed! Banner can attest!”
Bruce Banner paused as all the eyes in the room shifted to him. “Uh, yeah… I mean, he helped everyone evacuate during the destruction of Asgard. He cares about his people.”
“That should’ve been Vision,” Wanda snarled. “That should’ve been him and you know it!”
“He’s a villain, Thor,” Natasha suggested. “I don’t see why one good deed at the end of his life would change that.”
Thor’s cheeks began to burn red. “What do you want me to do?”
“Mr. Odinson?”
“Kill him again?”
“Mr. Odinson?” the same voice asked, pulling on his cape.
“Imprison him forever?”
“Mr. Odinson!”
“What?!” Thor whipped around.
“It’s your brother,” a doctor told him.
Thor turned around without excusing himself, but found himself followed.
Loki was covered in blankets, but he was sitting up halfway and definitely alert, albeit terrified and tearful.
“We just need to take some blood. Can you distract him?”
“Distract him? Loki, you don’t need me to distract you,” he said in a warm, hushed tone.
Loki’s eyes only grew wider and more distressed, looking between Thor’s bloodied appearance, and the multitude of people ranging from enemies to strangers only a few feet away, all staring at him.
“We suggest using this,” the doctor said, handing Thor a deck of laminated cards held together by a ring at the corner. “Just read from the back. Just keep him distracted.”
“Oh my god, he came back wrong, didn’t he?” Tony asked.
“Silence him!” Thor commanded. “He didn’t ‘come back wrong’ he’s just afraid! Leave us!”
“No, Thor, something’s definitely wrong…” Banner agreed, looking over the doctor’s notes.
“He didn’t ‘come back wrong’!” Thor roared. His head was starting to pound as the world felt distant. Everything felt like it was underwater.
Loki actually began to cry this time, softly sobbing and beginning to hyperventilate.
Maybe something was wrong with Loki. Maybe he did come back wrong. Maybe the wish was wasted…
Thor collapsed.
“Thor? Thor!” A bright light shone in Thor’s eyes.
He murmured and placed a hand over his eyes, shielding them from the blinding glow. “He’s up!” Bruce Banner said to someone behind him.
Thor sat up on a bed adjacent to Loki.
He felt around for the bruised ribs and headaches, but even the minor cuts and scrapes had been fixed. But that didn’t matter to him now.
“Is he alright?” Thor asked.
“We… think so,” Banner replied.
Thor got up to see what the fuss was about.
Loki wasn’t distressed or crying any longer, but he still wasn’t the Loki Thor had come to recognize. The crease of his arm was bandaged and he was kicking the blankets excitedly as Bruce Banner talked to him, still asking him about the cards he had handed Thor earlier. “How many of the monkeys have hats. Can you count for me?”
“Thor!” Loki shouted, putting his hands up when he saw his brother.
“Can I move him?” Thor whispered.
“Yeah, he’s not hooked up to anything right now,” the Wakandan doctor behind them replied.
Loki screamed and laughed as he was lifted into his brother’s arms. “Thor! I gotted candy!” he exclaimed, showing his brother a chewed green sucker.
“Wow, that’s quite exciting,” Thor agreed. “Do you remember anything from earlier?” he thought to ask.
Loki shifted uncomfortably. “You was mad… and everyone mad…” he answered.
“Before that… Do you remember me? Asgard? Banner?” he pointed at Bruce, “Do you remember our friend Bruce Banner?”
Very slowly, Loki began to nod.
“Uh, Thor?” Bruce interrupted. “I talked to the doctors and we want to keep Loki in for further evaluations. Just for a couple nights.”
Thor raised his eyebrows worriedly, silently asking why.
“Take a look at this scan we just did…” he handed Thor a tablet screen full of diagrams and information in tiny little text before realizing he wouldn’t be able to make heads or tails of it alone. “That is Loki's prefrontal cortex. It does emotional regulation, decision making, and most logic processes.”
“Is there something wrong with it?”
“Well… it’s not damaged, but compared to yours or mine, it’s definitely different… Here, look at this. These are his synapses, they make connections and help us learn. You have a regular amount for an Asgardian, mine are normal for an adult human, but check this out! Look at this! Loki has over double!”
“What are you saying?”
“I’m saying that Loki’s brain has gone back in time. It’s not caught up with the rest of him. He’s…” Banner sputtered trying to think up the right way to explain this when human age milestones wouldn’t register to the god. “He’s a kid! He’s not even ready for preschool yet.”
“Will he… grow out of it?” Thor asked.
“Yeah eventually. It doesn’t look like permanent damage, but you’re essentially re-raising him. It looks like he’s going to grow up like a normal, healthy, Asgardian--Jotunn just… in this body.”
Thor brushed that off. “Loki’s form is simply an illusion. It’ll change. He’ll shift out of it to something more suitable in due time.”
“I hope so, but until then, we just want to keep him under observation here in the palace. And… uh… well, I guess if you’re his guardian, you too.”
Chapter 3:
Thor set Loki down outside the medical rooms and let him hold his hand. Most Avengers who didn’t have other immediate priorities were still there, waiting and talking in a large sitting room. A couple more had even joined from remote areas of the battle.
Most, if not all, eyes turned to them when they entered.
“Loki, can you be good and sit here for a few moments?” Thor asked. “Just um…” the room was devoid of toys or decorations of any sort. “Maybe take in the view while I take care of some things?”
Loki’s eyebrows knitted together and he grumbled. “I wanna stay with you!” he whined, clinging onto Thor’s arm.
Thor sighed. “Okay… stay with me or go play… Whatever you wish.”
He led Loki through the crowd and towards a small bar where he promptly poured himself a beer and reached over the counter for whatever non-alcoholic fruit juice they might have.
Curious or even hostile glares softened with confusion as Loki asked his brother about the spinny seats of the barstools and if they could go play outside later together, and if Thor wanted to play healer so he could be like Dr. Banner or Shuri.
Individuals began to whisper to one another as Thor agreed and chuckled at the inane suggestions before handing Loki his cup.
“Can you be patient with me brother, so I may speak with my friends first?”
Loki bit his cheek. “Okay…”
Before Thor could find his own seat, Loki had already begun striking up conversations with the group of acquaintances and strangers.
“Hi, I’m Loki. What’s your name?” he asked Peter Parker excitedly.
The poor boy paused and neighboring heroes also listened in. Peter barely knew Thor, so as far as Thor was aware, the lad’s only knowledge of Loki was probably just the past misdeeds from when Loki was not himself… well, he wasn’t himself now, but in a very different way. “Uh… I’m Peter.”
“Do you want to play spaceships?”
Peter looked between Natasha and Tony for guidance.
“We’re a little bit busy right now,” Nat answered, making her best sad face to really show him that she regretted saying it. “Do you think we could play later?”
Loki looked a little hurt but didn’t say anything else. He moved on to the next group, introducing himself enthusiastically and asking if they could play.
Thor did his best to reiterate what he had just been told. Loki’s brain had changed but his outside appearance hadn’t caught up with it yet, and he was going to take care of him.
Wanda’s seething hatred had buckled into a slight satisfaction with this twist of fate.
“Kid talks a mile a minute,” Steve Rogers leaned in to whisper to Thor, grinning. There was a charm to it.
“Hi! I’m Loki!” The little one greeted the Guardians of the Galaxy. “Can we play a game?”
“Ah jeez, not a great time, kid,” Rocket answered, rubbing the back of his fuzzy head.
Mantis leaned in. “He lost a friend he really loved,” she whispered, pointing to Quill. “We are all feeling sad together,” she told him.
“Oh…” Loki said, backing away with his eyes on Peter Quill. He didn’t like feeling sad very much.
Loki introduced himself to one last group. “I’m Loki!” he said, not even beginning with a “hello” this time.
“Hey, Loki. I don’t think we’ve met! I’m Sam, and this is Bucky.”
Loki lit up hopefully. “Will you play a game with me?”
“Loki, maybe they’ll play if you remember the magic word. Do you know what that is?” Thor asked.
Loki struggled for a moment and conjured a little bit of green sparkles.
“No, not those ones. What did mother always say when she wanted you to be polite?”
“Please!” Loki clapped, excitedly remembering the word. “Will you play please?”
“Yeah, buddy, what do you want to play?” Sam asked. He shrugged when Bucky tried to fight him about it.
“Um… pretend I’m a fish and you’re the fisherpeople.” Loki got down onto the floor and began to wiggle on his belly.
A few adults, including Thor, watched curiously as Sam mimed throwing out a fishing line.
“And then pretend I was really a mermaid!-- Bucky you’re in the water-- you’re going to drown!” Loki fretted as Bucky stood up.
“Uh… I have a boat!” Bucky tried moving across the room to refill his glass.
“No you don’t!” Loki whined.
“Loki, he’s on time-out, bud, he’s taking a break,” Sam tried to explain.
Loki scowled over at Bucky before returning to his game. “I’m a mermaid,” he repeated before pretending to pull on the line.
Sam mimed reeling it in and really struggling.
Loki crawled up onto Bucky’s empty chair, flapping his fresh-out-of-water fin tail.
“You need to get that kid a paint book,” Bucky commented to Thor.
“I just may…”
“Loki?” Thor asked, once he felt that business had been ironed out well enough. Thanos was dead, and everyone, well, almost everyone, could get back to their normal lives or rebuild what was left.
Loki peeked up. He was no longer a sick, dying, mermaid who had fallen for a handsome fisherman, but was back to himself. The game was over.
“We’re going to go. Say goodbye to our teammates.”
Loki made another lap of the room saying goodbye to everyone.
He was acting like a little prince again, doing his best to be friendly, cordial and jovial. He was back in a time before he realized Thor was the one being groomed for the throne. Before the bitterness had set in or the beatings had started about how he “should’ve known better”.
“Are you ready to go?” Thor asked him, with a proud smile.
Loki grasped his hand as tight as he could, as if he were scared to ever let go again.
Chapter 4:
Thor and Loki’s assigned room in the palace was, just like every other room: modern to a fault.
The windows were large and overlooked a beautiful, sunny countryside, and the bedsheets were soft and pressed. But it was ultimately empty except for the two queen-sized beds.
To be fair, the palace on Asgard had been empty, too. Just a different kind of empty. A familiar empty.
However, in the corner back of the room, there was something. A little corner of clutter with everything a little prince may ever need: easy reading books, toddler-proof board books, toys that ranged in age from six months to six years, and even some furniture or toys meant for one smaller in physical size, just in case Loki’s form caught up with his head.
The little prince didn’t seem to understand that though, immediately sitting down on his knees to play with a ball-popping lawn mower and investigate a ride-on toy without seeming to understand he was just too big!
Someone knocked on the door.
“King T’Challa!” Thor greeted him.
“Hello King Thor! Are you adjusting okay? Do you need anything?”
“You’ve already done so much today your majesty, there’s nothing we need--”
That’s when Loki spoke up: “When’s dinner? I’m hungry!” he whined dramatically.
“Will you be joining us for dinner or eating in here?”
Thor looked back at Loki. “In here would be preferable for tonight… Can we join you tomorrow maybe?” he asked.
“Of course! Dinner will be here at 8:30,” he answered.
Thor tried not to raise his eyebrows. 8:30? That was so late! On Asgard they ate at four or five… six at latest! How was he supposed to get Loki to bed at a reasonable time with dinner being served then?! “Perfect!” Thor exclaimed. “Do you know of anywhere we can get a snack maybe a little before that?”
The king made him aware of a refrigerator and stout pantry cupboard that disappeared into the wall, activated with a hand motion.
Thor nodded, pretending not to be impressed. “Thank you,” he said awkwardly… “I knew that was there…”
T’Challa raised an eyebrow. “Let me know if you need anything else,” the king said. “I want you both to be comfortable.” He left without saying another word. The gesture of formality and diplomacy had been performed.
Thor turned around after shutting the door. “Loki! Loki, don’t touch that!” he called, noticing the child standing on his tippy toes and hopping to try to reach a small, barely noticeable camera.
He pulled Loki away and waved to the camera apologetically.
Loki kicked to escape.
“It’s so you don’t get hurt! It’s just the doctors! See? ‘Hi Banner!’” he said.
Loki wasn’t convinced.
“Why don’t we get that snack? I need one, too.” Maybe a food distraction would be enough.
Loki took out a box from the wall pantry.
“What are those?” Thor asked.
Loki enthusiastically showed him the tin full of frosted biscuit cookies.
Sugar, Thor thought, pure sugar. But, if there was ever a time for Loki to stuff himself with such cheap delicacies, that time was right now.
Loki opened the lid, tossed it aside and began to eat.
Thor was barely able to sneak his hand in and nab one.
“Not too many,” he reminded Loki. “We are having dinner soon.”
Loki furrowed his brows and looked down at the empty papers in the bottom of the tin. “No,” he whined.
“Yes! And you’ll get a tummy ache, too!”
“No tummy ache!” Loki squealed, distressed by the thought.
“You will if you don’t slow down.”
Loki stopped with the cookie he was about to put in his mouth and set it down.
“We’ll finish it off after dinner. Promise,” Thor said. “But why don’t we play with some of those new toys while we wait?”
Loki had an awkward way of moving now. His mind was having trouble controlling his movements in such a lanky, tall body.
Thor almost wanted to verbally suggest shrinking down but… he’d wait-- just a little bit. Maybe Loki would take care of it on his own or maybe the doctors could help. For now, Thor was happy to just observe and try to help his little brother.
“Gonna draw!” Loki squeaked, pulling out an iron filing board with its attached magnet pen.
“Can I help?” Thor asked.
“Mh… No,” Loki concluded. “Thor can’t see!” He retreated to the back of the room, squeezing himself behind the rocking chair.
Thor hated to admit that it did slightly hurt… just a little. But he wasn’t about to lose his head over something like this. He was Loki’s guardian now and his main duty was to make the little one feel safe. How could he feel safe if his brute king of a big brother was going to yell at him for asking for alone time? So Thor kept his mouth shut.
Loki drew for a while. A long while. Thor was surprised he hadn’t broken focus. It had been nearly an hour. The little one’s attention span was even longer than his own. Every now and again he heard a shifting noise or a frustrated grunt of Loki pulling a plastic tab to clear the board, but he never screamed, threw a fit, or even looked back at his brother. The boy was on a mission.
Finally, Loki propped himself up, and ran into Thor’s line of vision. “Done! All done!” he cheered. “Thor see! Thor lookit!”
“I get to see?!” Thor asked, rolling over on his bed and turning off the television.
“Yeah! Just for Thor!”
All of Thor’s exhausted malaise drained from him and was replaced with a childish enthusiasm to look at Loki’s art.
“Is a snake! And you!”
Thor took the drawing pad from him to get a closer look.
Although it was hard to discern, as Thor himself was a barely-identifiable circle filled with other shapes and lines, he was pretty sure that the snake was biting him.
“I love it! I love it, I love it, I love it! Come here you!”
Thor pulled Loki up onto the bed and into his lap, cuddling him close. “It’s so good, brother, I shall cherish it forever!”
Loki screamed before breaking out into giggles as Thor roughed him up and squeezed him in a far-too-tight headlock in a squeeze of pure love.
And then, when given the chance, Loki squeezed him back.
And in that moment, Thor knew that no matter what happened next, he had Loki, and Loki loved him. And he was never going to let go of him again.

@wkilofficial I know *nothing* about the mechanisms or In The Green but I love a good analysis/comparison of music and especially when there’s concept albums involved!! Your tags were very informative but please can you tell us more about the Mechanisms and In the Green Vs MCR and Danger Days
YEAHHHHHHH okay okay okay let's fucking do thisss
the mechanisms feature less in this Analysis post bc they're just. band that makes me go batshit insane. but to explain what they are briefly!! they were a. steampunk cabaret?? that's probably the genre. band that ran for about ten years that made story albums that were like. reduxes of famous mythologies and folk tales, often re-scoring and rewriting prior folk songs to do so. their main four albums are, in turn, a grimm's fairytales sci-fi epic, a sort of jazzy steampunk retelling of the odyssey, a western redux of arthurian legend, and a rock opera style album of norse mythology leading up to ragnarok. and i Love folk songs and modern interpretations and the genders of the band are truly so soothing to experience (loki being a she/her character played by a he/him gnc man being in a lesbian relationship with sigyn, a she/her character played by a they/them fat person of color, is still so important to me). and i can't rlly sum them up in one post?? but i recommend their music to any literature nerds shjshjs
BUT ANYWAY ONTO WHAT I'M HERE FOR
in the green, in a brief summary, is an experimental musical about hildegard von bingen that deals a Lot with trauma and abuse and recovery as it relates to a religious and misogynistic society (12th century catholic europe!). and its cast is five people playing two characters: hildegard's Eye, Hand, and Mouth, representing how trauma at a young age fractured her and made her feel broken and disconnected from herself (her aspects can fight and bicker and have wills of their own and never really sing in harmony), and jutta's Main Persona and her Shadow, the representation of her abuse and trauma that she's kept buried far underground. the music of the show is really stripped back? it's drums, electric bass, cello, dulcimer, and a looper pedal that allows jutta to layer her voice and harmonize with herself in Really Neat Ways. BUT AS IT RELATES TO MCR. it's kind of a couple different ways?
thematically, itg shares a Lot of ideas about perpetuating the cycles of abuse and also does a lot with Catholicism? i made a web-weaving post about this awhile back (linked here) but it's like. jutta gets to be free of the consequences of her abuse of hildegard because she dies. she gets to cling to that virtue while hildegard has to shoulder the burden of her teachings of "repress and work and the trauma will go away". so i think a lot about "from the razor to the rosary" and "i'm taking back the life you stole" and just like. catholicism themes and living your life in spite of what you've faced?? idk it's hildegard experiencing this life changing event at such a young age and then being taught In Isolation that the best way to deal with it is to ignore it because acknowledging it will destroy her. and then discovering that she Can acknowledge it and that's the best way to recover but the woman who taught her the opposite Dies before she can share what she's learned. jutta gets to die before the cycle of abuse she perpetuated can catch her. she dies just when she learns how she could've fixed herself. he (jutta) gets to die a saint but she (hildegard) will always be the whore y'know?
and then the OTHER similarity is just. lyrics? i'm just straight up gonna post itg lyrics that sound like they could be mcr lyrics right here:
plucked from the harvest, before you start to rot / thrust in the darkness, where everything is not / you were not born to live, you were born to be forgive / you were not born to live, you were born to be forgiven - death ceremony
isn't she lucky? she is the lucky one / she will be the seed that grows without the sun / hallelujah and amen, amen / hallelujah for the dead, amen / isn't she lucky? she is the lucky one / she will know of death before her life is done / hallelujah, amen, amen / hallelujah for the dead, amen - death ceremony
i will never go back / there's nothing out there for me / i'm here to find the truth, and the truth will set me free / because if i can teach you how to be whole / i will see the light / that is my goal / when i see the light, i will be free / when i see the light, i will erase my history / for good, and i will be made new / and i will be among the few / and i will be of virtue - the rule
[JUTTA] it isn't easy work. you have to get down in the dirt. [HILDEGARD] i can do that! [JUTTA] can you? [HILDEGARD] i will / i will work until I die, if I have to. [JUTTA] that's the right attitude. - the rule
i feel a bubbling in my blood / and if it boils will i drown in the flood? / i feel an overwhelming need / to put my own flesh between my teeth / i am hungry / on what can i feed? - i am hungry
i'm scared of what i feel / maybe it isn't real, but / i'm scared of who i am / a monster masquerading as a lamb - i am hungry
you have to learn how to hold your breath / you have to learn how to feel some death / this flesh is a thicket / so weed out all that's wicked / the feeling that you feel's an unwelcome guest - eve
keep the beast in a cage / on a leash / keep her locked in the cage / don't let her speak / she will scream in the cage / she will shout / let her die in the cage / don't let her out - eve
[HILDEGARD] but why dig a grave? i'm not dead! [JUTTA] are you sure that you're alive instead? [HILDEGARD] i don't know what you mean. [JUTTA] might you be somewhere in between? / outwardly living, but broken inside? / working and working while trying to hide / the feeling that you've done something wrong? / this is where you belong! / i understand what you're going through / no one out there wanted you. - little life
but when you sacrifice / give up giving in to want / you have nothing to lose if everything's gone / when life is darkness / death is dawn / life is better in death - little life
i’m not going back / i’ll run until i die / and when i can no longer run / i’ll teach myself to fly - in the green (sidenote. favorite lyric in the show, possibly ever)
my heart is a stone / my body is not my own / my heart is a stone / my body is not my own - in the green
you must be / just like me / i do not fit anywhere up there / i carry a memory / it makes me hideous / hazardous, insidious, but / underground i’m at ease - underground
you must be / just like me / tired of holding back all your widening cracks / if you carry a memory / it’s too much to bear / broke you beyond repair, then / underground in the dark / you don’t have to try anymore - underground
underground, you can be / a creature without a name / underground, you can stay with me / with your memory - underground
but you came to the underground / and walked right through your shadows / somehow in the underground / you took something obscure / made uncertainty secure / in the poison found the cure / a spark - light undercover (sidenote sidenote. this is just an ft willz poem line)
where, oh where has my mind gone? / are my feet on the ground or six feet down? / where, oh where has the time gone? / every day is a year / is a night and round and round - the ripening
haven't i done all the things I'm supposed to? / i know what i'm meant to be / and i'm grateful for the blessing / of this body that is rotting / all i've ever wanted is to be free - the ripening
wow that's. a lot of lyrics about guilt and catholicism and category 10 woman moments. ONTO THE DD SIMILARITIES
in the green and danger days are both about. people stuck in a hostile society doing what little they can to assert control over their lives?? in dd, batt city and the desert are literally deadly and the way to rebel against the scorching sun and the enforced Sameness and Separation is to be Bright and Loud and Love As Fiercely As Possible. it's basically a death wish, to refuse to conform in a world that sees vibrancy as a crime, but the killjoys refuse to be a part of that great machine that makes up their world. in the same way, jutta is a character given a horrible hand: arranged marriage (that she runs away from) and an assault that she can tell no one about. so her only way to assert control over her life is to say No to participating in the world at all. she forcibly shuts herself away from Everyone because that was the one thing she could Do Of Her Own Will. she finds power in isolating herself because it was a decision She Could Make. the world was not meant to be kind to her and so she took the only true choice available and refused it entirely. both of these courses of actions are direct contrast to the societies the stories are set in and both of these courses are deadly but also Freeing because They Made Their Choice. no one else made it for them. the killjoys rebel by being as loud as possible, forcing the world to look at them. jutta rebels by removing herself from the world as totally as possible, forcing the world to forget her until she forgot herself. she found freedom in the cell because it was a choice she got to make.
SORRY THAT WAS RLLY LONG BUT WAAAAUGH I LOVE THESE BANDS AND THIS MUSIC
#asks#ghost of zone 3#anonymous#in the green#the mechanisms#in case you couldn't tell i'm a jutta kinnie 😔

SHUT UP THE GNOME IS SUCH A GOOD IDEA!! that is so cute I'm obsessed! I've actually been looking for ways to incorporate an honoring of the spirit of the plant into my practice since I use weed so regularly as does the rest of my household.
To add, I will often give rosaries to Loki. I'm not sure why sometimes. I think We just think they're neat. Maybe sometime in the future he'll show me why :)
My mother got me a St. Michael (the archangel) medallion. But little does she know that I'm going to make it protective with Norse magick. Checkmate bc witchcraft is creative, no matter the image you are intending to be a vessel.
#das rheingold#perhaps#or an act of radical synchronicity and rejection of/reintegration of a inherited belief system#truthfully I think something is being Hidden from me#a delightful little puzzle :)

Okay, since it’s OW’s birthday, I’m highlighting this scene from my fic “It’s a Love Story” since I wrote the date to coincide with his birthday. (Link to full fic below!)
And where had that new found acceptance of himself led him? Sitting on Mobius’ sofa, picking nervously at one of the cupcakes he had brought to celebrate Mobius’ birthday. Mobius had teased him for the celebration, but he blew out the candle Loki had lit for him all the same. Infuriatingly, the other reverend had refused to share what he’d wished for, saying that it would never come true if he said it aloud. Loki was extremely curious but Mobius couldn’t be persuaded to share.
Mobius finished his cupcake, setting aside the plate with a satisfied smile. “Thanks, Loki. This was a great way to cap off my birthday!”
Loki hummed as he gave up the pretense of eating his own cupcake. “I would have thought you’d prefer a big party truthfully.”
Mobius shrugged and settled back into the sofa cushions. “I enjoy a party, but I enjoy my current company more. Quality over quantity, yeah?”
Loki felt his ears go pink at the compliment. “Thank you. I, ah, I have one last thing for you.” Loki dug into the pocket of his trousers and pulled out a small wooden box. He turned it over in his hand. “I wanted to get you something. To say thank you. Again.” He held it out to Mobius. “I wanted to give you a token of how much having you in my life has meant these last few months.”
Mobius’ eyes were soft as he took the box. “You didn’t need to do that.”
“I wanted to,” Loki repeated.
Mobius brushed his thumb over the lid, seeming like he wanted to say something. In the end, he chose not to, carefully opening the box. Tucked inside was a simple rosewood rosary. The faint smell of roses wafted from the box when Mobius lifted the rosary out to take a better look.
“Wow.” His fingers ran over the beads and chain down to cup the crucifix in his palm. “A rosary? I’ve never had one. This is beautiful. Afraid I don’t know the prayers though. You’ll have to teach me.”
Loki beamed at the reverence with which Mobius regarded his gift, his anxiety easing. “You truly like it?” Mobius nodded. Loki shifted to sit closer, almost leaning into Mobius. So close he could smell the rosewood better and with it, the scent of Mobius’ cologne and the sugar clinging to the corner of his mouth.
Loki traced the parts of the rosary as he spoke, their fingers slipping over each other with the rosary between their hands. “Start with the Apostle’s Creed. Our Father, three Hail Mary’s, and end with Glory Be. For each decade, the Our Father, ten Hail Mary’s, and a Glory Be.”
When Mobius’ face turned to his, Loki’s breath caught. So close, Loki could see the slight variations of blue in Mobius’ eyes. Eyes Loki could have lost himself in.
Mobius’ voice was barely a whisper when he spoke. “Sounds very peaceful. Meditative.”
“It is,” Loki replied just as quietly. His eyes flicked to Mobius’ mouth, to the icing on his lower lip. “You have something… Here…” Loki thumbed away the sugar, staring at the way Mobius’ lips parted as he did. His heart was pounding in his ears and Loki knew he should pull back. He should put distance between them. He should…
“What did you wish for, Mobius?” Loki asked instead.
His eyes locked onto Mobius’ lips as Mobius wet them with his tongue. “I think you know already. Don’t you?”
Loki wasn’t sure which of them made the soft needy sound when their lips finally met, but he knew he’d been the one to close the distance between them for the kiss. It was sweet to start, sweeter than the cupcakes he’d made, initial featherlight caresses of their lips as they learned each other. Loki felt Mobius’ arm stretch out, heard the rosary and its box being set down, and then he was sighing as Mobius’ hands came up to cup the back of his neck. He tipped his head, flicking his tongue against Mobius’ mouth, inviting him to deepen the kiss and rejoicing when Mobius did.
It wasn’t the first time he’d ever kissed someone. Loki and Sif had kissed. And he’d traded covert kisses in seminary with other fresh-faced boys who were battling their own demons as well. This was, however, the first time he’d kissed someone he had feelings for without the guilt and shame that immediately accompanied it. Loki melted under Mobius’ kisses, letting Mobius drink from his lips until he could taste Mobius on his tongue. Mobius only paused once, when Loki braced his hand on Mobius’ thigh, but Loki slid his other hand into the short strands at the base of Mobius’ neck and brought him back in.
They were both breathing heavily when they finally parted. There was a tremor in Loki’s hands as he let go of Mobius and he shifted, trying to relieve the growing discomfort in his slacks. That would have been embarrassing if he didn’t see Mobius doing likewise, both of them giving the other an apologetic smile. And once smiling, Loki found he couldn’t stop. His lips felt swollen and the skin around them felt raw from the friction of Mobius’ facial hair. But still, he smiled, buzzing with the joyful high of kissing Mobius.
They’d kissed again when Loki made himself ready to leave. And again at the front door. And again as he was leaving. And Loki didn’t think he’d ever get enough of Mobius’ kisses now that he’d tasted them.

Recent anon. Rewording: are there any unusual godspouse individuals or groups you've encountered? I've found a massive representation of a handful of deities in the Tumblr godspouse community all reporting the same sorts of things. I'm curious about what sorts of variations exist out there beyond the loudest here.
Ooh, this gives me some good wiggle room. Thank you for clarifying.
This is mostly about deities, but some of it can apply to spirit partnerships as well.
Most Popular Deities for Godspouses:
Norse, especially Loki / Odin or both The prevalence of facist and hate groups in Norse circles that focus on Odin often makes those potential godspouses who are fascinated by his Various Ways (queer, trickster, wanderer, war-tired, etc) a little skittish around him because they need to unlearn the (false) idea Odin is The Authoritative White Cis Warmongerer
Apollo Love y'all, but the godspousing circuit adores Apollo/n. You cannot get enough of him. Personally, I think the attraction lies in a combination of Pretty Person + God of Truth / Healing, which is tempting to people who want to feel extra safe in a non-corporeal relationship
Badass and/or Warrior Lady Freyja, Artemis, Hel seems to be popular too. It's about finding empowerment in a traditionally dismissed gender, and also wanting a HBIC Wife to hold you, tightly. Sometimes crafting or traditionally feminine maker-arts are involved, as well.
Trends:
Unintentionally engaging with a deity from each major pantheon, ex. Norse, Hellenic, "Celtic", or similarly eclectic spreads of partners
Either partnered with a demon OR an angel, almost never both at the same time
There is evidence to support that one post about a certain subgroup really enjoying the Authoritative Man-in-Charge relationship (read: Daddy Dom) with their god
Unintentionally reinventing forms of Christianity as you try and distance yourself from the trauma of Christianity (ex. only one god, who you see as creator/maker, adapting monk-like lifestyle, prayers, rosaries / prayer beads, simplified symbols of that deity that you incorporate into your everyday life like one does the Cross)
Starting out with a friends-with-benefits relationship with a deity then falling in love and panicking, which makes it terribly difficult to figure out your feelings and makes it even more difficult to accurately interpret divination on the subject
Quirks (derogatory) of the Community:
Subset that demands worship be connected to godspousing and that godspouses are just Special Priests
Quite frankly, the number of <20 year olds who show up claiming they are a Priest of [Deity], yes I'm old and grouchy, don't @ me
Minors who think they should be allowed to do whatever, whenever, because there's no physical component to the relationship
Newly 18 year olds (adults) who casually drop into chat that they've been having an intimate relationship with a deity for X years, and then we're just supposed to be automatically supportive and not ask Questions
"[Deity] caused [Major World Event] and I know because they told me personally, and they said it was sad but it was for the good of the people"
Subset (often the same as point #1) that thinks it's okay for a deity to force their way into your life and divinely harass you or enact lifestyle changes on you that you're not into, and that you should just let it happen because the Gods Know Best
"Godspousing automatically is cheating if you have an IRL partner" Please be my guest and tell all the Jesus-lovers out there that they're engaging in infidelity every time they proclaim Jesus as their Lord and Husband-to-Be
Shock value partners, i.e. the occasional person wanders in with the edgelord sentimentality and has a collection of edgy partners, mostly demons, gods of death, sometimes pop culture entities. All these are fine individually, but I'm talking about a very specific collection of partners that makes you wanna go listen to Heaven Help Us or the Taste of Ink
"Godspousing = Religious" No, please don't go here, please don't be this person. it can be! But altars, prayers, and hymns are not the gold-standard of godspousing

Witch tips #5: Witches' Ladder
Witch's ladders are such an useful tool in witchcraft and they can be used in different ways. Before getting into it, let's have a look at their history and how they were originally used.
Definition
A witch's ladder (also known as rope and feathers, witches' ladder, witches ladder, or witch ladder) is a practice, in folk magic or witchcraft, that is made from knotted cord or hair, that normally constitutes a spell. Charms are knotted or braided with specific magical intention into the cords. The number of knots and nature of charms varies with the intended effect (or spell).
Evidences from the past
The Wellington Witch Ladder
This was how it looked. When researchers found it in an abandoned house, the news reached also Charles Godfrey Leland who was in Italy at that time.
he investigated and found that the witches there used a similar form, called a "witches garland": the item was made of cord, and contained black hen feathers. The malediction was uttered as each knot was tied in and the item was placed under the victim's bed, to cause the ill fortune. (You can get more details in Part 2, Chapter 5 of Roman Etruscan Remains).
Leland also claimed that intrinsic to the witch garland was the placing of an image of a hen or cock (made of cotton or similar) next to the garland, upon which a cross of black pins is made. The whole is then hidden in the mattress of the one you are hexing. The curse is lifted by finding the hen & wreath (garland), and throwing the whole lot into running water; the bewitched is then taken into a church whilst a baptism is being carried out, where they must repeat a certain spell before bathing in holy water.
Sabine Baring-Gould's "Cungenven" gives a good description about this ladder and how it was used and if you are interested, you can download the PDF of her work here.
How to use it
Spells
So now we know that originally they were used for hexes, but you can use them to "seal" A spell or to help you concentrate for it. It can be considered knot magic.
Some ladders have 40 knots, others go from 3 to 6 to 9 (I personally use the 9 knots version).
This is how it looks. I made this just to give an example, but in the beginning you can see a crystal: you can use whatever you want, even anything, I use something to identify which is the first knot that i made.
After casting a spell, you can give it more strength by using the witch ladder, chanting something while you make every knot.
This is the order:
With knot of one, the spell's begun.
With knot of two, the spell be true.
With knot of three, mote it be.
With the knot of four, the power is stored.
With knot of five, this spell will thrive.
With knot of six, this spell I fix.
With knot of seven, the spell will waken.
With knot of eight, my intention is destiny.
With knot of nine, the spell is mine.
I chant the first line for the first knot and so on, following the order of the pic. I usually use this method for long-term spells or for personal spells to strengthen them.
This is how I connect the ladder to the spell.
When you don't need the spell anymore, you can just unknot every knot by chanting
"the spell is discharged, so mote it be"
And by cleansing the jar or what you used for it.
You can add feathers or anything you want to the knots, just make it personal.
Rosary
Rosaries aren't used only by the Catholic Church, they are useful tools to meditate or to pray to your dieties. You can repeat a single word or a mantra to honor them or simply to get concentrated. This is the one I use for Loki (I have the permission to show you) :
Another use
I saw a lot of witches around the world that call what I'm gonna show you "Witch Ladder", idk if it's correct but anyway it's a cute and useful idea to " Store " And charge your ingredients:
As you can see, I put there a protection and purification sachet, a pinecone for protection and an oak stick after Litha's celebrations. I use this witch ladder to dry my herbs while they got cleansed, but I also keep there some important spells for me, like my dedication to Loki and a prayer to Beelzebub, my other patron.
If you have some space to place this, I highly suggest to make one. As you can see it's pretty simple: I found those sticks in my garden and with some chords I created it.
Well that's all for the Witch Ladder! I hope you will like this quick chat about it. If you want to see other ways to make them, have a look here and here if you want to learn more about it.
